Book 1 of Tale Trilogy

The girls had recovered from their stunned state and retreated to a corner of the classroom and watched as more students filtered in. 
"Who the hell does he think he is?" 
"Quiet down, did all of your brain cells move to that chest of yours?"
"What ever...", she said while adjusting her "assets", resting them on her desk, "...Teresa, what do you think about him?"

"He...". She looked up just in time to catch Adam (a tall young man with dark skin and wave like black hair) starring at the new girl. She noticed his hesitation and then acquiescence as he sat in the back of the room. She was about to ignore the new, handsome, student but she was drawn to a girl with hair that looked like the sunrise and eyes that resembled the boundless ocean. 

Teresa's hair stood on end and her face turned red from anger, "...", drawing the attention of her two minions. 
"...That slut...", filtered into her ear from the left while "...Fucking whore...", sneaked its way into her right ear. The grip on her chair strengthened until the wooden armrest cracked, snapping her back from her blinding anger. Like venom, she muttered under her breath, "... That bitch...", and was about to get up when she saw Adams sudden change. She swallowed her anger and smiled like a shining star after she saw the reason for Adam's sudden change.

 All of the conversations that had picked up around the room faded into silence when they heard rooms sliding door open up.

Black shoes and pants were followed by a black waistcoat and white shirt. A blue, gold, and black tie and golden pocket watch were hung on his neck and from his waist. His eyes were a deep brown color with flecks of orange and gold flashing about, like fireflys. His hair was a thick field of neatly combed and gelled strands of brown-black hair. His sharp eyes scanned the room while his mouth displayed a princely smile.

His eyes met with Adam's and for a brief moment, he froze. Until his smile widened even further, resembling a prince charming from a fairy tale. Adam sat back down and looked at Elena, shrugging his shoulders to dismiss the questions that he could see in her eyes. 

"He's here...", said one female student as she breathed rather heavily. Another student took out a book and started writing about everything that the new entrant had done since opening the door, "The Good King of the Golden Rose...entry #2421...". A third student, averted her eyes and held her stomach, pinching her cheeks to feign illness. 
The so called prince immediately turned his head towards the sickly girl and exited the room with phantom like steps, Returning moments later with a large trolly. Without speaking, he passed out drinks and sweets that would promote health and taste delicious. He made his rounds around the classroom, Speaking to those that had the courage to speak underneath his holy aura. 
"Good morning Li..."
"It is, Teresa...", he said with an amiable smile and a slight head bow while giving her a drink.
 
"So, I was wondering if you thought about what I said the other day...", she replied while twirling her a strand of her hair, her bright red face expressed her beauty in an otherworldly way, such that no man or woman would wish to look away.
He stared at her, mesmerized, she thought, as he said, "I have..."

Outsiders could only see a heavenly prince that had spent the longest amount of time with an otherworldly princess. 
"Is he going to open the platter for the rose?", said one interested young woman. The young man with the book flipped through the pages with one hand and recorded the events with the other, "He has never opened the platter before, I don't think he will change that today...". The third student, as she salivated towards the desert cart while holding her stomach, said, "What about the new students?". 

The young man with the book narrowed his eyes and looked at the back of the room. With bulging eyes, he pulled out another book and wrote down, "The Demon Princess of the Golden Rose... entry #4666253..." and said, "...Perhaps?", as his head flicked from one end of the class to the other at an unnatural speed. Both hands held a pen as he wrote at lighting speeds. 

"...And, What do you say?", Teresa asked with a voice that could give anyone diabetes as they drift off to heaven. 
Li's smile did not change in the slightest, nor did his eyes that resembled crescent moons. Teresa took his silence as acceptance and squealed when he stood still as she held his hand. It was the same hand that held onto the pastry that he was giving to her, the same hand that passed a sweet desert and a drink to everyone else in the class.
Her misunderstanding was pretty clear to everyone because she did not take what he was giving her and held on.
She extended her free hand towards the silver platter in slow motion... she also, just so happened, blinked at the exact moment her hand was supposed to grip the polished ivory handle of the dome platter.

Teresa could only watch with bulging eyes as her hand squeezed a soft pastry instead of a handle. She blinked once again and saw the pastries light creme ooze out of her grip and onto her shoe. She blinked once more and in slow motion, she gazed at the back of the man of her dreams walk away with his silver trolly. Not only that, he walked towards the back of the room where "that...bitch...", covered her mouth as she struggled to stop herself from laughing out loud. 
She was guided to her seat by her friends who saw her eyes dim and try as they might, they could not bring her back. They could only clean her shoe and wash her hand before she regained control over her thoughts. 

Adam could only smile as he watched the young man called Li, expertly swap out the pastry in his hand with the trolly handle in the split second of Teresa's, unfortunate, blink. "Sad...", he thought, as he realised that most if not all of the other students would not have even be able to see what had just happened because of how it occured.

"Vanilla shortbread... and, coffee cake for the lady...", the smiling prince said as he set a handful of sweet treats on their desks. He poured a large drink and said, "I assume you two are sharing?", as he pulled out a smaller cup. 
Elena looked at Adam, still struggling to cover her laughter and pink tinged face, while Adam looked at Li emotionlessly. 
"Geez... ", Li said as he pulled another cup out and poured the drinks.

Adam had a cup of sugarless coffee while Elena had a cup of sugar with a hint of coffee. Elena took a sip of her drink and stared at Adam with disaastifaction, watching as he sipped his coffe and said, "Want some?". Smiling, he swapped their cups and sipped his sugar in peace. "Its rather hot, I almost burned my tongue".

She took his cup in both of her hands and said, "Liar, I hope you would, and idiot".
"I get the first two, but... idiot?...", he said while staring at Li as he rolled away. He bit Into one of the cookies that was placed on a beautifully weaved hankerchief on his desk.
"You already know, stop playing around...", he pulled a piece of her cake off and dunked into into her drink, nibbling at the coffee soaked cake.
"Do I though?", he said while catching her eye even though they both looked forward. 
"How long has it been?...", She took a long sip of her drink.
"Eight years...", he took another cookie and dunked it into his drink, copying Elena earlier action.
"Then theres no way you dont know...", Nibble.
"Know?...", he ate a third cookie flat out.
"Unless you are an idiot...", Nibble.
"Oh...I get it now", he said in between eating one cookie and another.
"Really?...", she turned her head, eyes full of solemnity and expectancy, beautiful beyond belief due to the warmth that heated her cheeks.
"I can only assume...", he took a long sip, wetting his dry throat after eating two cookies. He looked at her with a similar expression and said,
"You dont really want me to burn my tongue, I would not be able to use it if Its burned...", he said with a serious, almost desperate, expression.
"What...?...", she could not even comprehend his words. Even if she followed the thought process he used, the words he used just... WHAT?..
"What?...", he said while knitting his brows in thought.
"How...did..., how did you reach that conclusion?".
With an comically large smile, he whipered into her ear, "Your mom informed me..."
She at Adam's emotionless face and flush dark skin as he inched away. 
Without care for anyone else, she could only laugh with wild abandon as she thought about her mother and an 11 year old Adam talking about a tongues usage in a relationship.
"Ah...*insert  LOL and heavenly bells*"

Li rolled his trolly back down the aisle and stopped in front of the new female student with golden eyes. He knew that she had golden eyes because he lost himself in them with each step he got closer. Without speaking, he smiled at her and to everyones surprise, opened the silver platter that remained unopened since the beginning of his know schooling career.

Teresa, who had regained her soul from the jaws of crushed expectations, was once again beaten down into an abyss when she opened her eyes. She saw her friends who looked at her like they had just seen a ghost, just as if not more pale than when the mysterious young man called them out by naming their doctor. She studied their shaking eyes and noticed that they were not looking at her, but behind her. Curiosity got the better of her as she turned around. Her friends tried to stop her, but were too late to regain their own spirits, so all three girls could only watch, in slow motion, as the prince opened the very object Teresa was just publicly denied.

Li did not attempt to serve the new girl and waited with baited breath as she looked at him and then the chocolately assortment of freshly baked and steaming brownies in the shape of hearts. She raised her head once again and shook her head in dissapproval before slowly grabbing the center most brownie, a perfect size to eat in one bite. A small crystal glass found it's way into her hand, full of freshly heated milk that could be downed in a single mouthful. 
She looked at the prince with apathy after eating and looked into the distance on her left with closed eyes, like a goddess who had just been appeased. He let out a shaky breath and stormed out of the class, ridding himself of the trolly and delights.

Like a storm, the class saw their prince leave and return before the sliding door could close. Silently, he returned to the girls side and sat down at a nearby seat, not even the shuffleing of his clothes could be heard. Everyone, other than Adam, Elena, and the spiritually disabled Teresa, could only watch this scene with open mouths.

This is their prince, a king of the school because of his style, intelligence, strength, and overall charisma. He is one of 13 student throughout the entire school to gain the  golden rose status. 
A young man so far ahead of modern times actually opened his mysterious silver tray for a new student. A silver platter that, even when five of the other golden rose holders teamed up against him, he never opened, regardless of the circumstance. Who is she to make such a thing happen, to make the Good King of the Golden Rose falter. 

The class was about to burst when they heard a voice physicall rock the entire room. The sliding door was thrown open and emitted a loud bang that barely matched the voice in decibels. 
"WHO PUSHED ME?...." 
All of the students watched as a giant barreled through the door, larger than 6 feet by a few inches, as his muscles expanded to a vicious degree. Veins popped and coiled around his forehead, even his hair seemed slightly longer and spiker from his rage. 
"Rajah, quiet down...", said Jacob's, who held the door open for the third person to walk in, Tainyou.
"SOMEONE PUSHED ME AND RAN IN HERE, WHO WAS IT...", Jacob's closed the door slowly and said, once more and even quieter, "Pipe down...".
Just like the first time, the giant stomped over to the first person to look at him and yelled, "WAS IT YOU?...". 
This time Jacob's appeared behind Rajah, fist raised and aimed at his brother.

Like prey being stalked, Rajah felt the hairs on the back of his neck tingle and turned around, aiming his pan sized fist at whatever was attacking him. 
Both young men had their fists caught by Tianyou. The air kicked up around the three of them and a sickening thud and cracking echoed throughout the room. Tiannyous right arm dropped to his side, the same hand that blocked Jacob's fist. Without uttering a sound, he reset his shoulder that had been knocked out of place and said, "Sit, both of you."
Rajah frown and looked around the room once more with a murderous glint in his eyes, Jacob's had the same expression but it was directed at Rajah.

The class looked at the new trio and then towards the class prince, the Good King Li. Amazed, they could only see him next to the new girl, somehow blocking the entire class from seeing her face properly. It was a good thing as well because the golden eyed girl was smiling, not really smiling, it was only a small curve on her petal like lips. 
It was a playful little smile that would make anyone put their own life on hold and worship her just to get another.

The class was on the verge of explosion when heavenly chimes broke the turbulent silence in the room. Most students directed their gazes towards the bright ray of sunshine that seemed to blind them all. 

Jacob's returned to his stubborn and sleepy resting face, and Rajah retained his threatening without being menacing expression. Tianyou did not have any changes of expression, but his eyes dulled a few shades compared to their previous sword like glint.
 Teresa was still out cold, her eyes completely devoid of any light as her world crashed around her in the span of a single morning.

"What's so funny this morning students?", broke the class out of their reverie. Elena, who was still laughing yelled out, "YOUR MOM...", and immediately froze after speaking. 
The man who walked in wore large rimmed yellow glasses without the glass and a bright yellow shirt under a button down vest. A black, red, and, yellow tie matched the pin stripes on his suit, giving him an overall serious, but enjoyable vibe. He had long brown hair tied up behind his head and bright red-brown eyes, giving him an approachable atmosphere because of the juxtaposition between his sloppy hair and lazy eyes to his outfit.

Like a hawk, he singled Elena out with a dark and brooding silence. The entire class felt like they could see the red in his suit and eyes, flow like blood, hinting at all of the students that have fallen because of him. They watched as he slowly captured their heart beats, turning them to the frequency of his steps. He placed his jacket on the chair in front of the class and turned around to face the wall, away from the class. 

They all felt him change, like a demon had been released from its chains, as the red lines on his suit squirmed like veins. They saw his body shake, like the demon was tearing it's way out of his body but he fought it. In the end, he could not control the beast and the students were forever scarred for life.
"Oh no...", said one student who went pale.
"Have mercy...", said another student who curled underneath her seat.
"Elena...Why...", Mouthed Tianyou as he looked at Elena and her crumbling expression, from joy to depression. 
"The demon princess strikes again...", said the student with five books on his desk. He pulled out futurrisc noise canceling headphones and calmly watched the rest of the class. 
Li, pulled out a pair of crystal like noise canceling headphones and gently wrapped them around the new girls ears. 

The next thing Teresa heard when she regained her senses was not the joy and concern of her friends as she had hope, instead, it was the worst sound humanly possible. Like a banshee, the class shuddered underneath the formless, soul wrenching, ower their teachers laugh had over them. Bloodcurdling and mentally destabilizing, like a cross between the sound of nails of a chalkboard, the screeching of metal, the wailing sounds of dying whales, and elevator music played on an infinate loop at the loudest possible volume.
"How could anyone simulate all of those sounds at once and make it a laugh...", adam sincerely thought to himself as he looked at his new teacher who still had his back turned to the class.

The man stopped shacking, resulting in the students looking at one another mouthing things like,
"Is it over?...", "I think hes done...", "I think we should wait a little bit", "...". 
The last one didn't say anything because he was knocked out before he put the second sound cancelling headphone in.

The students only say the teacher use hand gestures and body movements that seemed very out of place. First he fixed his tie while looking at the class. Then he panned his head from one side of the room to the other, scanning faces. Then he took his classes off and poped something into them, then he gave a thumbs up to the class(?), nodding and smiling like a madman. He clapped a few times before spinning, putting a peace sign when he stopped. After that, he hung his head low and then waved something away. He ended it by counting on his fingers, holding his head in failure, and then recounting. 

The students that took there headphones off just then heard, "...Final projects are due in three days".

(Read whatever strikes your fancy. I do not know what draws people in. Trust that what I write here is relevant to either the story as a whole or just to the volume I am currently working on)

(Shit)-Background:
Humanity is bound to make an irreparable mistake when given enough time.
The 2**0's proved to be a periodd of time where such a mistake was infintesmally close to being reached. 
There are only known 3 known pieces information that we can be sure of now and 2 others that were gathered by the survivors of that time.
1) Nuclear weapons were used
2) The (objectively) best and brightest minds and bodies of the world were herded like cattle to one nation
3) It is the best near death experience any species, known to mankind, has ever had.

1) Approximately 70% of all habitable land became uninhabitable within the first few months and increased to as much as 97% by the end of the era
2) The survivors were all chosen, regardless of race or creed, by the worth of their skill. The worlds most influential leaders, the just and corrupt; The most intelligent scientists and mathematicians, moral or unethical; The most innovative and inspiring artists, modern, traditional, contemporary, parody...etc; Ths most knowledgeable historians; farmers; every other occupation that can be statistically analyzed for the best result under the best and worst conditions.

These people used every means necessary to not only survive, but thrive under a deadly environment. 

The ultimate result was a 10 year long golden age that surpassed all of humanity's previous advancements. Every renaissance or enlightenment paled in comparison to the transformations that happened in this time.
Humanity, quite literally, opened the doors to safty and Into the greater universe.

As for the bombs that drove humanity to the brink, they remain a mystery. No one knew or knows the reason for using the nuclear weapons. 
The first attack could have been a mistake or intentional. Someone in a random government could have given orders or it could have been a disgruntled leader. It could have been a terrorist group or a hacker or a simple series of, highly unlikely, technological malfunctions.

The outcome of humanity's greatest folly has however, 100 years later, has given rise to everything we have today. A universe that is just an open doors way away

Galestorm and Liote stared at Pretize in bewilderment. A powerful, wealthy and huge clan like the Turquoise Sea Lord Clan, where even the servants have more than seven robes, there the main daughter having just five was not only shameful, it was unbelievable. Galestorm looked at Liote with questions written big on his face while Liote exclaimed,

"Five robes!!  Why didn't you get more robes for yourself?" 

Pretize actually just wanted some clothes from which she can make some comfortable, easy-to-move dress for herself. Five or ten robes doesn't matter to her. She answered in an emotionless voice, "I would have liked to buy but with a weekly allowance of 2 silver and 4 bronze coins, I was not able to afford it"

The more Liote and Galestorm were hearing the more shocked they were getting. Galestorm spoke in his coldest of voice, 

"Two silver coins? Liote, is this how much our family's main daughter should be receiving? Even our servants get one gold coin (which was roughly $9.6) per week. Just how have have you been looking after Pretize?" 

Liote was speechless. True, he had deprived Pretize from luxury and had not paid much attention to her but he had never been negligent about her allowance or her basic necessities. Getting to know that she had been living in a more miserbale condition than their family servants was nothing short of embarassment to him. This was a question to his capabilities as a head of the family as well as a parent. All this time, he had never bothered listening to Pretize, now that he think about it, maybe her bad behaviour culminated from her miserable state. 

It was only now that he was getting to know that his wives and his other children had been mistreating her. It never came to his notice before. He felt ashamed to have never noticed how Pretize had suffered esp since she lost her mother at a young age. To have entrusted her completely to her stepmothers, and hoped for them to care for her like their own daughter, how foolish could he have been. 

As the main daughter of the Sea Lord Clan, the weekly allowance of Pretize was 12 gold coins (which was equivalent to $115) that is 48 gold coins in a month which should be enough for her to pay her servants as well as get robes for herself.  

Liote realized that he had to stop Pretize from speaking further. Since, he had been so sorely unaware of her life, he decided instead of asking for more details, he would rather provide her with everything that was suppose to be owned by the Main daughter. 

"It must have been the servants who are appointed to deliver the allowances to you. It had been a mistake on my part to entrust so much amount to this new servants. From now on you will be staying in the Ocean wave courtyard in the east of the mansion. It is a courtyard suitable for the main daughter. I am removing all your old, lazy and untrustworthy servants and appointing two personal maid and three servants on-call. There will be three guards guarding your courtyard. Your allowance will be sent by my personal account keeper. And about the robes, for the time being you can go to the tailor department and collect whatever you require. Is there anything else?" 

Actually, Elena would have preferred having no servants. She was used to doing her work on her own. And she trusted no one. So, having servants was a burden but if she refuses it will raise suspicion. Therefore, she, instead of refusing, decided to deal with them later. She knew that Liote was trying to cover up his negligence towards her by providing her everything as suited to the Main daughter's honour. She just had one other problem. She spoke acting very grateful,

"I thank father for providing me so much just I was wondering if I was allowed to leave the mansion if I needed to get something?" 

Liote blinked in surprise. He disallowed her leaving the mansion after all the rumours. Now, that the matter was cleared, there was no reason to restrain her. But before he could say anything, Galestorm spoke,

"After the family meeting on this full moon, you are free to come and go to the mansion. I will have to ask you to restrain yourself till then" 

Elena understood Galestorm's intention. She knew he was just trying to avoid more gossips about her. But Elena also knew that she can't sneak out unless she was familiar with her surroundings. She needed to first get acquainted with this new place as well all this magic thingy. She hated being uninformed about anything. She felt like something was missing without having full information of it. Since, she can't leave, she decided to take this opportunity to learn more about this place, the magic stuff and all. As per her memory, there was a huge library in the mansion having all sorts of books. That would be the best starting point. She smiled at Galestorm and acted earnest as she spoke,

"Granddaughter would listen to grandfather" 

It was the first time that Pretize referred to him as grandfather since they met today. His cold expression got mild. Elena continued to act earnest as she spoke,

"Grandfather, am I allowed to the access of the family library? I love to read books"

Galestorm smiled at her affectionately for the first time, "You don't have to ask. As long as you have the family crest, you can access any part of the mansion"

"Thank you!" Elena said bowing her head

"Now, you rest till your courtyard is prepared" Liote said in a polite tone but his expression was still sombre, before both of them left.  

Next day, Pretize was shifted to the Ocean wave courtyard even though her body was yet to recover completely. She was escorted by two servants who introduced themselves as, Lupe Lina and Kezen Udre, in the afternoon, who barely looked sixteen. Lina was short with frail build and short brown hair while Udre was same height as her with long black hair tied neatly in a braid and big black eyes. Her shoulders were broad and looked like she knew fighting. They had packed her things from her previous courtyard which had hardly filled half of one trunk and were there to guide her to her courtyard as instructed by Liote.

When she reached the courtyard, she saw that it was huge and had enough empty space in the front of the chamber to practice martial arts. She would need that space to train this week undernourished body of hers. She saw a girl who was around the same age as her standing in front of the chamber door with a slight bow. She greeted her formally and opened the door to her chamber and escorted her in. The room was, since there was no other word to describe it, 'Luxurious'. It had a huge parlor with fully wooden table, comfortable armchair, bookshelves, torch gaps on wall where candlebra with candles were placed, even though there was a huge chandelier on the ceiling, wall hangings, a separate space for practicing magic. It led to a large bed room with a typical princess bed with bed hangings, a huge window overlooking the bed covered with velvety curtains, full size mirror with large number of cosmetics and several jewellery boxes, big wooden wardrobe with a very decorated door, large portraits adorning the walls, a beautiful eye striking chandelier and just like the parlor, there were torch gaps on the wall where candlebra was placed. 

Besides this two rooms there was a servant's quarter which was akin to a hall with four single beds in each corner, all looking very comfortable, with each corner having wardrobe, book shelf, full size mirror and small table and chair. It looked like the dormitories on Earth except it was much too comfortable. The servant's quarter was separate from Pretize's room by small corridor, not so far that they cannot hear Pretize's call but far enough to not disturb her rest with their talk. 

The room was enviably beautiful. Elena, though not fond of excessive luxury, found herself admiring it. Lina and Udre started arranging her things in the room while the other maid came and bowed to her and spoke like the chiming of the wind, 

"Third young miss, may I dress your wounds first or would you like to bath first?"

Elena cut her gaze off from the room which she was still praising and said in a deadpan voice, 

"I'll take my bath first"

The servant bowed and said again politely, "Then, let me prepare your bath" 

Elena nodded non chalantly. As, she trotted away, Elena ambled towards the window, slightly pulled the curtain apart and peeked outside. She saw there were three guards patrolling in three direction of the house. She checked the wall fencing around the courtyard which was as tall as two men. The top of the wall, however, had nothing that could stop someone from jumping in or out. She wondered if there was any magical barrier but how to check that? 

She left the curtain and walked to the mirror, rubbing her chin thoughtfully. She checked the cosmetics on the dressing table. She found quite a number of useful material. Perfect! This will be very helpful with her disguise. Now, she needs to get clothes, information and money! Living like a fugitive and running from Adrian for years, she had learn't to believe only on herself. Hence, she doesn't want to depend on this Clan for anything. She had to train her body, mind, and soul and learn about this magic and know if she can utilize it for combat! Plus, she had to know more about this world and her enemies. In this life, there was no Adrian chasing her so, she has one less headache. And dealing with those bunch of scheming family members was no big deal for her. 

She knew that she could only relax for few days as after today's incident Liote must be feeling guilt ridden and will be focussing on her for a while to ease his conscience. This will keep those pesky evil  heartless stepmothers, half siblings and cousins of hers in check for the time being but she could swear they were not going to sleep well till they avenge for today's incident. 

"Third young miss, your water is ready. I will help you with your clothes" the little maid came back and spoke formally.

Elena was wondering why Liote appointed this little girl as her personal maid. She was very thin with honey tan complexion, curly brown hair, thin small face, and almond eyes. She looked like she would be flattened in one slap. But she understood now, she was quick, efficient, not talkative, polite and very well trained. Elena instinctively also felt she had some magical power too, though, she looked very delicate. Elena strolled towards her till she came face to face with her,

"What's your name?"

"Answering to the third miss, I am known as Fren" the girl answered without raising her head 

"Fren, call Udre and Lina here" Elena instructed. 

She quickly bowed with a soft 'Yes' disappeared in a whoosh! She returned in about two minutes with Lina and Udre on her toes. They all bowed to her and said in unison, 

"Reporting to the third miss" 

Elena looked at them with her dead eyes which inadvertently made the maids shiver. She always carried an aura which made people uncomfortable but she never gave much mind to it. Afterall, she only bothered about her mission, all this trivial issues were not worth wasting efforts on.

She decided to put out some rules for these servants, otherwise, it would be nothing short of headache if they keep tailing her everywhere she goes. 

"Now that you all are serving me, there are some rules you need to follow. First, when am in my bed room, I want none of you loitering outside unless I call you. Second, whether you are bringing food or message or anything, you will first knock on the door. If I call you in THEN only you were to enter otherwise not. Third, if someone requires my audience when I am not free or have told you I am not free, you are to turn them down. No matter who it is. Clear?" 

The three servants looked at each other in surprise before Udre spoke formally,

"Ray wake up" A voice echoed in the golden unending room.
"Come on I don't have a whole day just for you..... wake up" The voice gets louder.

Ray Wilson opens his eyes with relief and the first time in his entire life he felt something different when he woke up this time.
"Who is it? and why I can't see you? " His voice sounds curious.
"I think we should talk" A voice echoes again but Ray couldn't see who was it.
"Who are you?" He asks.
"You ask a lot of questions my son. l am god of reincarnation" A man suddenly walks out of nowhere.

Suddenly Ray get shocked and started questioning
"What? How? You can't be serious? "

He was going to ask another question but he realizes that he is not in his body, it was his soul and not even astral projected like in the Doctor Strange movie, it was clearly like a ghostbuster one, more like cloud-shaped. 
"Woah Woah Woah where is my body?" Ray gets hyperactive and scared.
" Listen I am here to give you a chance to reincarnate in a new world and start your new life and you can't see your body because you are dead" Ray gives a look to G.O.R. because of how casually he informed him that he is dead.

Suddenly Ray starts remembering that he was stabbed in the back by a man when he was saving the old woman from him and he died in the hospital because of loss of blood.

Ray starts crying and gets emotional and asks about his family.
"My family.... what will happen to them now?" He asks.
G.O.R. just nodes in concern and seeing him like that G. O. R. asked him about reincarnation.
"If you are done with all the emotions, Can we talk about your second chance, if you have ever heard of the reincarnation" G.O.R. speaks.
" You mean I can go back?" Ray asks being as humble as he can.
" Yeah but there is an interesting thing about your soul, it can handle travels through dimensions so if you want to, I can send you to worlds like supernatural and much more and with your wishes, it will be fun but remember every wish you'll make will have consequences so ask carefully." G.O.R. 
"Wait... What do you mean by wishes?" Ray asks, a little confused about the wishes part.
"You can have 3 wishes and a world of your choice and don't be worried about your family they will be alright... so what it gonna be... I prefer Marvel." G.O.R. says.
"Ok... So I can choose the world of my choice and you will grant me 3 wishes but I can't go to Marvel, I don't want to change such a good thing and even if there are some bad parts, I still can't" 
"So What it will be?... DC?" G.O.R. asks
" No, if you take out Dark Knight trilogy then it's just the studio ruining the franchise just to get somewhere close to Marvel and I don't remember much of it then no point going there" Ray explains his choice.
Then Ray started thinking about one of his favorite shows the Vampire Diaries and the originals and thinking for while he comes up with his 3 wishes
"Ok... so... l want to reincarnate in the world of the vampire Diaries

(1)My first wish is to be a more powerful vampire than Marcel Gerard and Lucien and also be harmless of their bite and even cure it and can only be killed by platinum-gold alloy stake and the Bennett witch blood on it" He makes his first wish.
"Wait, Why a weakness?" G.O.R. asks.
"How is that weakness because if I can only be put down by this weapon then there is no chance someone can use powerful magic to make me vulnerable enough to kill like Salvatores did to Klaus and later that bush like something which killed Elijah so by this, it won't happen to me.

(2) My second wish is to reincarnate at the time of day before Lucian takes the serum and wants to be reincarnated in Mystic Falls.

(3) My third wish is that I want to be a demon wolf with full control over the skills and transformation."

The story is about a character named Ray Wilson who is reincarnated into the world of the vampire diaries with three wishes.

But everything starts going wrong when new threats and new characters start appearing because of the consequences.

Ray explores the world and faces countless challenges to get what he wants and to prove that he deserves to have all the power that he holds.

If I was to resurrect the dead

Varsas almost chokes on his own spit the moment he saw the title. That book isn't supposed to be here, in the Gungnir's territory.

Lufa was curious. It's a book that can garner such attention as to be banned. At the same time it was a book that she did not know about even with her future vision so it may have not been that important. She asked Varsas about it after his slip in persona since he seems to know about it.

"What is this book?"

Varsas looks at her in a daze before gathering his thoughts. He speaks clearly and carefully with the butler in the room.

"It's a book from the Lanton empire. Currently our neighbors are at war with them, even though my father claim neutrality, we are still providing supplies to the war effort with trading. A portion of our populations are also from or have ties with the other kingdom so it is to be expected that a book from there would not be well received."

The little girl in the guise of a servant give him a look that says that is not what she meant. Both of them know of the event of the future, he is from the future in fact and seems to know about it, Varsas gives her a warning glance looking at the butler in the room, yet she looks at him as if saying he knows full well that both of them could have dealt with that easily.

Not knowing the full exchange between the young master of the house and the powerful being from Lan Sphere, the butler chooses that moment to cut in.

"It is also a heretical book." He says angrily.

For a moment Varsas remember the origin of the word heretical. There used to be religion, however for one reason or another, the ancestor of the various nations have abandoned it all together, at this moment, nothing is truly heretical anymore. It is just cultural inertia for the meaning of the word, people has forgotten what that word really means.

But it was not the wrong usage of word that causes Varsas to cut in. Using the choice of word the man had used, he says

"And what part of it is heretical?" It was a simple question, though Lufa caught up on it and looks at him questionably.

"Perhaps it is because of the necromancy content?" She asks.

"There is not a single mention of necromancy magic in this book." Varsas returns.

"Aye, but it involves raising the dead using the science of the Lanton empire." The butler explains.

There is not a single mention of necromancy magic in the book, true, at the same time the book went on about how the author of the book, as a man utilizing the technology of the Lanton empire would go about resurrecting the dead with those technology. It is the first book of a trilogy, and for the opening book, it details the preparation of the human bodies and the process involved...

The numbers and actual method was fiddle with of course, however scholars and scientist from both the Lanton empire and other nation agree that it was plausible and the man writing the book has a detailed understanding of the human body as well as extensive knowledge in technology.

What is less mentioned of course is that the method used in the book was uncomfortably similar to the event that turned the world against the Lanton empire years ago.

The rule of nature is against raising the dead, the author explained. Necromantic magic has a reputation of being dark and taboo, not because the user was dark per se, it is just that a "successful" necromancy ritual always result in something going wrong. The reanimation of the body is easy. The binding of departing soul into those bodies can be done.

It is just that always, seemingly without fail, those souls would be twisted beyond anything. The one who was brought back would always go mad or has a really questionable personality, a perversion of that person's actual personality when they were alive.

It is as if magic itself was against the resurrection of the dead.

And that is why the author argued that if magic was against the resurrection of the dead, remove magic from the equation all together, in fact, one has to isolate actual magic from the proceeding if one was to resurrected the death.

Yet one problem with that would be it is hard to actually do something like that without magic, there are no precedent about resurrection without magic.

That is where the technology of the Lanton empire comes in. In recent years with the advancement of knowledge about the human body and how it function in the Lanton empire, it was possible to do something that is akin to magic, using technology.

The problem was the details in the book was uncomfortably similar to the human chimeraic experiment that turned the world against the Lanton years ago.

"Did that person actually resurrect the dead?" Lufa says with wonder and intrigue. Such a fascinating thing yet it never comes to her knowledge. The human world is really fun, Lufa decided.

"It is only the first book of the trilogy. That say the title is 'If I were to resurrect the dead'." Varsas emphasizes that.

"The various respected person says that thing is propaganda from the Lanton empire and should not be distributed. It is rumored that that thing seduced many a scholar from their home and made them leave for the Lanton empire." The butler says in hushed whisper, switching to gossiping mode.

Lufa glances at Varsas, if that book can seduce the reader and make them leave their home, what about Varsas reading it? However at the moment, he is not reading it, he just glances at the cover in deep thought. In the first place, he did not have any intention whatsoever to read it. He is more interested in the unfolding situation, that is getting a bit out of hand.

It confound Lufa even more, she can't see what that guy is thinking whatsoever, despite both having the knowledge of the future.

Varsas Gungnir was known as the hero who ended the war, but then he died, bleeding out on the street. He woke up again, 10 years in the past. He has decided to do... nothing

We quickly moved away from the silver vein and hid nearby. Sometime later, residents appeared in front of our eyes, and they clearly came for sparkling metal.

The first two ants were larger than me and had rather strong jaws with which they began to scrap silver. This scared me a little because I only scratched this metal with my claws a little and felt the energy flowing in it. I wish I was able to absorb it, it would be interesting to see what kind of sphere would turn out?
The ants scraped the silver vein, then collected metal sand in some strange containers. Occasionally, they would get larger pieces that the Seeker would take for himself, crawling along the silver vein and looking for something. The ants were busy with their own business, noticing nothing around.
"Hardworking guys," said the magician. "They will devour all our silver, ehhhh…"
"We didn't come here for it," the archer grinned.
"Yes, I know," Ron pouted. "But that's a shame anyway. Shall we waste them?"
"Well, I guess we can," Hyde agreed.
"Hood, check for more ants in the area," said the elf. "We do not need guests who can attack from behind."
"Doing it," the archer nodded and went to follow the commander's order.
"Hyde, take on the workers," said Elena. "The Seeker is mine. Berry, watch him. The rest help Hyde, then me.
"I think you will do him faster than we do ours," the magician waved his hand.
"Quite possible."
"Everything is clean," said the archer, returning from the opposite side.
"Then go ahead."
The magician formed a ball of fire and threw it at the backs of the workers. Flames pierced the bodies of insects and passed tongues along the surface of the silver. The creatures screamed, and the prospector immediately jumped to the side.
Lintirionel stabbed him with a sword, but he easily blocked it. The elf used the ability, and the two-handed blade cut off the front paw, causing the enemy to hiss.
Hyde, meanwhile, struck a few blows at the workers and, covering himself with the shield, applied his ability. Hood planted arrows in the solid bodies of the enemies who continued to yell and gnaw at the knight's shield.
"Hey, easy!"  Hyde said indignantly. "The strength of the shield quickly subsides from their bites."
"Now we'll multiply them by zero, don't be afraid," the mage grinned, and immediately a dozen fire arrows appeared in front of him, which inflicted very substantial damage on the ants.
The knight added damage, using the shield in addition to the sword. I also decided to take part in the battle and threw a reinforced sphere that knocked the enemies over. After that, I created a cube and cut off one of their paws. This spell absorbs so much energy. It's even scary to think how much it will take to create a reinforced cube.
I watched my enemies very carefully, so I managed to block the silver nugget thrown at me by the prospector. The energy shield shattered, and health dipped by a third. Great throw!
The whole hand was crushed, but I did not even have time to feel pain when Alyona healed my wounds and attacked the prospector with a red beam. I felt fear coming from the ant fighting Lintirionel.
The elf immediately carried out a combo of punches and finally cut off the ant's head. Hyde pierced the chest plate of one of the workers, and Hood used the skill and pierced the head of the second with an arrow.
"That was a great fight," said Elena.
"I told you that you could do it faster," the magician looked triumphantly at the commander.
"Just Berry and Alyona helped," the girl smiled.
"Well, I saw Alyona's attack, but what did our silent mermaid do?" Asked Ron, perplexed.
"Threw a pebble at him," the elf replied. "And immediately took away twenty percent of his health."
"Berry, you scare me," Ron said joyfully. "I'm about to crawl under your mantle from fear."
"..." the girl showed her little fist to the magician.
"Just kidding," Ron put out his palms in a conciliatory gesture.
I picked up a silver nugget and put it in the spatial pocket, after which I went to the prospector to look at him closer. The strange ant was very strong since he could tear the silver apart, almost in the same way that Berry did.
At first, I thought that it would be possible to talk with them, as well as with other bugs at my level. But after that thought, I saw the word 'Hostile' under their names highlighted in red letters. But why? I'm the same cave dweller as they are. However, it is worth recalling the spikers, which were not too friendly at the beginning.
Five more nuggets lay in the prospector's pocket, one of which was large. But the most interesting was that in his spatial pocket lay some crystals. The first, grayish red, was called proustite, and the second, dark red, pyrargyrite. These names did not give me anything, but the magician was very happy about the finds.
"Now it will be possible to make an excellent ring and amulet with increased fire damage," the magician almost jumped. "Lena, do you mind if I take them for myself?"
"Take it, anyway, no one else fights with fire, so you will need them more."
"Great!"
And meanwhile, I was pleased with the window that popped up before my eyes.

"An image of something as if you are showing a piece of your memory," Elena explained, and Berry meanwhile returned the book to me. "Okay, then we'll go further carefully trying not to get involved in unnecessary fights."
The archer moved forward again. The whole team was on guard. There could have been a lot of ant groups. Berry was now walking with me and Alyona, trying to discern something in my inner energy.
The healer looked at the strange sorceress and tried to make out her face, hidden by the hood. However, by the sad expression the healer's face, one could understand that she did not succeed.
The land of ants was not as terrible as the central wasteland and, despite the obvious presence of hostile creatures, it was quite calm here. It seemed that the wasteland scared with uncertainty and unknown.
"There is a battle ahead," said the archer.
"Who can fight here?" the mage scratched his beard.
"Remember, Kroark Karak said there was war here," Hyde said to the fiery wizard.
"Not too vivid so far."
"Let's go," said the elf, and we rushed to the sounds of the battle.
There was the hissing of ants, the clang of jaws and most importantly, the buzzing of wings. So bees are fighting ants? But what do bees do in the land of ants? We came closer. Now it was possible to see a detachment of five ants who were trying to throw nets on someone.

It is amazing to meet two more new species of ants, short after the first battle. The collectors of the fall were much smaller than the metal miners and seemed somehow flimsy.
But the warrior was very different from them and he was more like a prospector. The main difference was his jaws. Sharp and long, they most likely would have been able to bite me in half without any problems. The paws were powerful enough, and the shell seemed completely impenetrable. Its dark structure was slightly red, which looked threatening. This ant moved very quickly, which was not too pleasant.
It is good that the workers were much weaker than the previous ones, finally, I can cause significant damage. But who are they fighting? I tried to keep track of their opponent and at some point, I saw him. It was obviously not a bee ...

Hello everyone. I hoped you all liked my beginning ideas in this story. To be honest, I have a bigger project that includes a lot more lore. This was still fun to write, but sadly, not going to actually be my story. My other stories I was writing also included some of my ideas for the story I wish to write. Five people, no, it was five people and Arnold standing inside the beam.

That same half awake state, by the time they woke up, they were inside a very normal room. The floor was covered with tatami (rice straw mat), the rooms were divided by shoji (paper door). By the style and decorations of this room, this was a Japanese house.

The five of them immediately counted the people on the floor. The result terrified them. There were fifteen newbies, including the five of them would make the difficulty reach twenty.

The more people there were, the more difficult the movie was. In Alien, fifteen people caused God to change the plot and almost wiped them out. And this time, the number of people reached the maximum allowed.

Jie fell on the floor and mumbled, “The Grudge, it’s The Grudge, and it’s The Grudge with twenty people difficulty… we are…”

Lan recovered from the shock and ran over to the window. This was a residential house. She was looking outside from the second floor, but if she were to look at the house from outside, this house was exactly the same as the one in the movie.

Lan turned around with a pale face and said to Xuan, “You’re probably not experienced in this type of movies, let me analyze it this time?”

Xuan nodded silently.

Some newbies had started to wake up, but Lan didn’t pay much attention to them. She began to explain the concept of a Ju-On (curse).

“A Ju-On is when a person filled with grudge dies, that grudge becomes a curse. This curse usually lingers at the place where the person lived. Once someone enters this place, this person will be killed by the curse. The cursed place in this movie… is this house!”

Lan touched her forehead and continued. “Once someone gets cursed in this movie, that person will definitely die. Perhaps after a few days, or a few weeks, the ghost will kill that person eventually!”

Zheng sighed. “You’re saying we have all been cursed? Once the movie starts, we can get killed anytime?”

Lan forced a smile. “Yes… this is the type of movies that can’t be explained with science. We don’t have any means to analyze how the ghost kills, we don’t even know how to avoid them… Then what could our mission be?”

They looked at their watches at the same time. Their mission was to survive seven days. There was also another option, someone killing the main body of Kayako once will be rewarded with a rank B reward and 5000 points!

“A rank B reward and 5000 points?” Jie jumped up from the tatami and shouted excitedly. “Shit, that’s worth risking our lives. We just have to complete this one, then we can do whatever we want.”

That lightened up the stressful atmosphere. Zheng laughed. “You really think it would be easy? Think how scary the Queen was and everyone only got a rank D reward, and I got an extra 3000 points. Kayako must be even scarier.”

The five of them fell into silence again…

It had been nine days since Zheng returned to God’s world. He virtually hadn’t spoken a word to Xuan since then. He spent the time discussing combat techniques with Jie and Zero, and training to use guns and other survival skills. It wasn’t until right before they were about to enter the third movie that Xuan came up to him. He handed them each a cellphone looking device.

“One each, they can communicate without getting interfered with by satellite signals. Maximum distance is 50 kilometers. I think this should be useful in a team.”

Xuan also barely spoke with anyone since then. He spent his time making this device and a large amount of bullets. To everyone’s curiosity, he spent the rest of his points on magical bullets. These bullets looked the same as normal ones but had runewords carved on the shells.

Without rhyme or reason, the rest of them–including Zheng–also exchanged a large amount of magical bullets. This was the cheapest item that can damage spiritual monsters, and it could be used in any gun. Zheng stored a cubic meter of bullets in his ring. In contrast, he only got a few armor-piercing shells.

The people without a Na ring exchanged tactical backpacks and stocked them with hemostasis sprays, bandage, antidotes, rations, solidified water in capsules, and a winter jacket. These things spent every point they had. Since some people had more points than others, Zheng had to fill the gaps with his points.

Zheng sat on the tatami in silence as he watched Lan explain the rules to the newbies. He recalled the plot of this movie in his mind.

The Grudge was a trilogy. He had actually watched this famous movie within the past few days. He could still recall the details vividly. The most unforgettable thing was no one survived the Ju-On.

The plot started with Kayako loving a man in secret during college. Yet due to her unsociable personality, she could only stare at him from a distance and write her feelings down in diary. That man wasn’t aware of Kayako and dated another woman at the same time. He married that woman shortly after, and it left Kayako with hatred.

Then Kayako went through a series of unfortunate events. The cat that grew up with her died, both her parents died in a car accident. And at this time, her heart was filled with grudge.

Kayako married another man shortly after and gave birth to a boy. She lived in peace for a few years until the boy was old enough to go to school. She found out that the boy’s teacher was the man she had loved.

At the same time her husband found out he suffered from male infertility, that it was difficult for him to have a child. He also discovered Kayako’s diary and assumed that boy was the product of an affair. He became abusive and tortured and killed Kayako then hid the body in the attic. He also killed the man Kayako loved afterward.

Yet the fact was that child actually belonged to Kayako and her husband. The misunderstanding and torture from her husband drove her grudge to the limit. So this place became cursed.

This was the plot he knew. Even though The Grudge was a trilogy, all three movies told the same thing, how Kayako killed anyone that entered this house.

‘Kill Kayako? When her ghost appears, can we kill her with magical bullets? If it is possible then wouldn’t it be too easy when comparing the difficulty versus rewards?’

As Zheng was thinking, a bulky man with his face red shouted, “I was doing business on the internet and clicked on a pop-up, how did I get here? F*ck, did you knock me out with anesthesia from behind then bring me to the room next door to blackmail me? Don’t think this is creative, countless people have done it before…”

All the newbies aside from three people seemed rather normal, whether it was their clothing, expressions, or reactions. These three people started talking loudly and the red faced man even started to go downstairs, eight people followed him.

Of the three people, a boy about fifteen years old sat there reading a book quietly. A man was studying the tatami and shoji. A young woman was lying on the tatami, it looked like she wasn’t even awake, dressed in sexy pajamas with her eyes out of focus.

There were also three young men in their twenties that stayed. The reason was they had been staring at that sexy woman.

Lan was about to stop people from leaving but Zheng got a hold of her. “Let them leave. This is the first spirit-type movie we’ve encountered. We don’t have the ability to help anybody. If they want to trust us and stay beside us, then we can protect them a bit, but if they want to leave… then let luck decide their fate.”

The man that was studying the tatami stopped and sighed. “I am starting to believe your words. This is the layout of a Japanese residential house. The designs of tatami and shoji were also popular in Japan ten years ago…”

The woman yawned. “Japan? How did I get here? I remember I was chatting on the internet. Oh right, why are you in my house?” She took a look around, realized the environment was different and screamed.

A woman’s voice came from downstairs when Zheng was about to speak. She was speaking in Japanese! This woman was probably one of the movie characters. The movie starts when they can interact with the characters.

Suddenly a chill wind swept across everyone. Yet no one else except Zheng felt this coldness. His body trembled and he immediately took out the submachine gun–coincidentally loaded with magical bullets–and fired at the attic.

Everyone looked at him in confusion, but Zheng could sense that coldness subside. They didn’t realize an air of darkness stuck to their bodies… even on Zheng’s body.

“Is this… the Ju-On?”
