Elena was anxiously waiting for Lucien in the hall. Being late on the first day of work would definitely not make a good first impression on the director, Mr. Hank.

Another receptionist, Cathy, smiled to her colleague and joked, “Elena, who are you waiting for? Your sweetheart?”

“Come on, Cathy. I’m waiting for a friend of mine. Today’s his first day working for the association.”

When Elena was talking, Lucien came into the hall. 

“Thanks God, you are here, Lucien.” Elena walked out of the counter and toward Lucien, “Why do you look so tired? Are you sick?” 

Lucien knew he must look terrible. The headache caused by his soul injury was torturing him all the way. After rushing here, he felt quite dizzy.

“Well… I think so. But I’m okay. Thank you for asking, Elena.” Lucien smiled to Elena, who was wearing a long white dress today. “I think we’re gonna meet Mr. Hank now, aren’t we?” asked Lucien.

“Yes, we are.” Elena started walking upstairs, and was followed by Lucien, “No worries. Sunday’s never a busy day, or say, the work is not busy in general.”

Mr. Hank was a middle-aged serious man, who was always wearing a decent suit. After asking some basic questions, Mr. Hank just nodded and asked Elena to lead Lucien directly to the library.

The library was on the second floor. While they were heading toward it, Elena was trying to describe the other librarian to Lucien, “His name is Pierre Sandor. Both of you work the morning shift in the library. He’s an ok guy. I don’t think he’ll give you a hard time, so no worries. But he’s a bit… umm…” Elena paused for a few seconds, “weird.”

The guy called Pierre should also have some connections in the association, or he would have no chance working as a librarian here if he was just a nobody. Lucien just wanted to do his own work and avoid trouble as much as possible.

The Music Library was huge and quiet, and thousands of precious music books, journals, and newspaper were collected here. 

There was only a black-haired young guy sitting behind the wood counter, reading the tablature carefully. In Lucien’s eyes, the guy looked like a big fan of music.

“Pierre, Pierre…” Elena tried to draw his attention, “This is the new librarian, Lucien.”

Finally, Pierre raised his head from the book. His brown eyes looked a bit confused. 

“Morning, Elena! What day is it today… Sunday?”

“Nice to meet you, Pierre. I’m Lucien Evans, the new librarian.” Lucien introduced himself with a warm smile.

Just realizing his new colleague was standing in front of him, Pierre walked out of the counter and greeted Lucien, “Nice to meet you, Lucien. I’m Pierre Sandor.”

When they were shaking hands, Pierre put on a sly smile, “Lucien, you’d better… refrain yourself a bit…”

“What are you talking about, Pierre?” Elena was confused.

“Just guys’ conversation,” answered Pierre casually.

Shrugging her shoulders, Elena whispered to Lucien, “You see. I told you… And I gotta go now, Lucien. Make good use of the books here, and work hard.” 

After Elena left, Pierre started showing Lucien around. While he was walking, he talked to Lucien casually, “Umm… I sometimes talk in a weird way. If you don’t understand, don’t let my words disturb you.”

“So you asking me to ‘refrain myself’ was also a casual talk?” asked Lucien.

“Nope, that was serious. Guys in our age can easily drain ourselves from too much… Umm, you know what I’m talking about.”

Lucien didn’t know what to say. Now in Lucien’s eyes, Pierre looked like a big fan of music, and kind of nasty.

After introducing the basic stuff that Lucien had to do as a librarian here, Pierre stretched himself a bit and said, “Only the members of the association can have access to this library, so it’s never busy here. Just remember to be polite to the musicians. You can spend more time here, and I’m gonna go back and enjoy The Well-Tempered Clavier now.”

His eyes were glowing when he mentioned music.

“Sure.” Lucien was more than willing to be left alone. With his spirit library, Lucien was always trying to store more books in it, like a squirrel collecting its favourite cones.

Lucien quickly leafed through a book, and a copy of the book instantly appeared in his spirit library. Then Lucien directly turned to another one.

“Hey, what are you doing there?” Pierre asked in a confused way. He hadn’t gone far yet. 

“I’m doing a random check here to see if there are any damaged ones. Then I can take note of them and report to the association.” Lucien immediately made up an excuse.

“You’re as careful as a woman, Lucien.” Pierre commented.

In the following four hours, only two musicians visited the library. Lucien thus managed to collect more than a hundred of the books there. His arms felt pretty sore from leafing through them.

The books covered many aspects of the world, not just music. Lucien wanted to have a better understanding of the world as soon as possible.

Lucien finished his work at about half past midday. When he was leaving the library, Pierre was still immersed in music, with a bread in his hand.

Later, Lucien went to Mr. Victor’s place and continued his study.

Life was pretty peaceful in the following couple of days. 

One evening, John came back. When no one was around, he started telling Lucien what happened on that day.

The house-elves that work in the Vaclav house carried everyone's luggage to their rooms and Elena showed them to their room so that they can settle in before they are questioned, the room that Elena showed Edwin to was right near Yasbel's and it had everything to make the room comfortable.

" It's nice " Edwin stated as he looked inside the room and walked around

" I'm glad you like it " Elena stated as she enters the room with Edwin " If you need anything just ask and the house-elf will take care of it "

" Thanks uh aunt Elena " Edwin stated as he sat down on the soft bed.

" Just call me Elena I'm like your cousin " she stated before leaving.

Due to the hours of traveling when Edwin played down his almost immodestly fell asleep, even though he tried to fight it he didn't win and he fell asleep.

Edwin is woken by a knocking at the door when he got up to see who it was the door open ever so slightly to show a house-elf with its bat-like ears and tatter but somehow clean clothes " Master Edwin the dinner will be starting soon " The house-elf said as he walked into the room " Master has instructed me to get you ready "

When Edwin heard what the house-elf said he almost couldn't believe that he slept so long and quickly got ready with the house-elf help, Edwin tried to refuse but he wouldn't take no for an answer and used a cleaning spell on Edwin which substituted a bath.

" What's your name, " Edwin asked the house-elf who was facing the door as Edwin changed.

" Nob, Master Edwin " Nob quickly answer not turning around. 

Nob lead Edwin to the dining room where everyone was already sitting " Sorry I'm late... I fell asleep " Edwin stated before grabbing a seat near Yasbel and when he took a look around Nob was nowhere to be seen.

Edwin had expected dinner to be silent but it wasn't so as it's a parents job to embarrass their child no matter how old, Ivan Parents started to tell his childhood stories from how he unlocked his magic to what he and Yasen would do for fun and what trouble they would normally get in. 

" It's a shame you two couldn't attend Durmstrang " Edwin's grandfather stated as he glanced at them" several generations of Vaclavs went there one of the best school there is "

" Now dear Hogwarts is also good school too and their both at the top of their class "  Edwin grandmother started grabbing her husband hand " tell us about what they teach at Hogwarts "

Edwin and Yasbel started to talk about what they do at Hogwarts from their subject to their free time when Edwin mentioned that he was interested in Runecraft and Alchemy  it raised an eyebrow " we have some old rune books in the library " his grandfather said " you could read them if you like "

" Thank you that would be great  " Edwin quickly replied as he would get a chance to read through runes book that might not be available in Hogwarts. 

" I'm glad to see that you have the enthusiasm... Wendy, you really did a good job raising our grandchildren Yasbel's is as wonderful as her mother and brilliant too and Edwin's ambitious as can be " Ivan's mother stated which made Wendy shocked again as she couldn't say anything and Edwin was equally surprised as he wouldn't call himself ambitious.

" On that note that notes we, I would like to apologize of how I behaved in the past " Ivan's mother sated once again surprising Wendy " it was terrible of me not to believe in the woman that my Ivan chose "

" Don't worry about it " Wendy stated as she glanced at Ivan's mother " I totally understand...Ivan explained it to me that a muggle marrying into such an old family would be bad "

" Oh dear no " Ivan's mother quickly shouted out and an awkward smile appears on Ivan's face.

" We could care less about that " Ivan father replied " Ivan and Yasen could have married a mermaid as long as their happy we wouldn't have interfered "

" Then why didn't you like me,"  Wendy asked looking at Ivan who had told her about the racism in the wizarding world.

" It's simple I thought Ivan was making a mistake marrying you " Ivan's mother replied with a stern expression " but now I see that was wrong of me to think so, you're a wonderful woman fit for my son "

" Even after what happen you stuck by him... Ivan's luckily to have someone like you " Ivan's father replied " welcome to the family Wendy... "

" I never gave you a chance to get to know me," Wendy said with a smile " but now we have the time "

 With the night over and with breakfast finish Edwin wander through the halls of the house before saying " where is the library " Hoping that a house-elf would take him but it wasn't a house elf that responded but his grandfather " I'll take you there "

As the two walked towards the library Edwin asked " Grandfather what's your name "

" Ivan didn't tell you it's Asen and your grandmother name is Maia, " Asen said as the two arrived at the library, he took Edwin to where the rune books are kept as Edwin reached for a book on the shelf something caught Asen eyes.

" that ring...where did you get it " Asen stated not taking his eyes off the ring.

" I found it at Hogwarts  " Edwin stated as he picked up several books.

" Do you know what the symbol means?" Asen asked 

" it's the symbol of the deathly hollows " Edwin replied knowing that it has another meaning but decided not to know anything.

" That is also the sign of the dark lord Grindelwald " Asen replied looking down at Edwin

Over the month, Elena changed her scheduled and added more classes so she can finish early she told her family, so they had to cancel her birthday party, in order to finish early the school left her have no holidays only for New Years but was only a couple days even then she would be taking her exams. She and Ariel would practice every evening after Elena's classes, and as he promised Gabriel called every evening, he been busy with business trips trying to expand his company to different branches, he also went to see the girls like he said a week after they left for school. Elena and him had a birthday dinner since he will be working on her birthday, she told him it was okay because her friends well be coming that weekend to celebrate with her. Ariel took some classes as Elena's school because she wanted to help her family just in case her family were happy how responsible she is becoming by staying with Elena, Elena would also teach her on how to be a lady that she learned in school since Ariel only went for a few months. George called Elena about news he received about her mother's family they got a city so he, himself will be going to check himself, but Elena wanted to go with him, so after her birthday Elena asked to switch to online for the other few months that she will be away. They agreed since they didn't mind she was the top of her class and her family donated some money to the school, so did Elena when she saw the out dated books in the library. Elena's birthday past, she had dinner with her friends and she was surprise by Gabriel they spent the rest of the night together, she would go with Gabriel and met up with her father at the airport while they go to meet her mother's family.
"You nerves?" Gabriel said
"A little. What if they don't like me?" Elena asked
"They will love you, your their family" Gabriel said
"Okay, but I am still nerves." Elena said
"You want me to go with you?" Gabriel asked
"What about work?" Elena asked
"I can take them with me, like you taking your school work" he said
"I would like that, besides they probably will ask who I am married too" Elena said
"I will get a ticket when we land" Gabriel said
"Okay" Elena said
"Get some rest" Gabriel said
Elena nodded and she took a nap when they landed back home, John was waiting for them at the arrival area.
"Elena! Gabriel!" George said
"Dad!" Elena said
She hugged him.
"I miss you pumpkin!" George said
"Gabriel is going to come with us" Elena said
"I knew you would say that. I already have an extra ticket" George said
"Thanks George" Gabriel said
"Please, call me dad. You will be marrying my little girl soon" George said
Gabriel nodded his head, they went to the VIP area to wait for their flight. George ordered food for them.
"What city are they in?" Elena asked
"Country K, that's the information I got" George said
"What else?" Gabriel asked
"They have a company called Lillie's Corporation and Elena's uncle is running the company, he's grooming his son to take over" George said
"And my grandparents?" Elena asked
"Your grandmother and aunt run charities, your grandfather goes to the park everyday to play chest with the elderly there" George said
"Have your men made contact?" Gabriel asked
"I was able to get a meeting with Elena's Uncle the day after tomorrow, in order not to let them reject I used your father's name" George said
"Dad okay with this?" Gabriel said
"Yeah, he said as long as he can help" George said
"Flight 196, to Country K is now boarding" the PA system spoke
Elena finished her drink, they got up and took their things and made way towards the plane.
"Did you bring the albums?" Elena asked
"Yes, all Six of them" George said
Elena nodded, she held her fathers hand and gave it a squeeze she was nervous, John patted her hand and gave her a smile. The flight was long by the time they reached Country K, it was midnight they went straight to the hotel, Elena was jet legged so she slept half the day and felt fully energized. They stayed in the hotel the whole day doing work and homework they went out for dinner, everybody slept early that night since they would have a big day tomorrow. By morning Elena got up and got ready, she saw Gabriel and her father eating breakfast.
"Good morning pumpkin" George said
"Morning daddy" Elena said
"Come have some food" Gabriel said
Elena nodded and sat down, she ate her breakfast. When they were finished John's assistant told them the meeting would begin soon, so they all left the hotel and they drove to the company where her uncle was running.
"Just breath" Gabriel said
He can see how nervous Elena is, Elena just nodded her head, her heart was racing she was nervous and excited this was the first time in her first time meeting her mother's family in this life she never had the opportunity in the last life as well too. When they reached the front desk, they were told to wait and the boss will be coming down to greet them.

In this life she will live for her and her mothers dream, but her heart will always belong to him.

We are in the shopping mall, we come here every time we go on a date but for some reason she buys new clothes every time.

I actually used to go there only because there is a library in the palace and I can read so many books there.
"There was one time when they secretly thought me sword fighting and when my mother got to know about that she got furious at them, she didn't let me go there for 5 years"
"You know sword fighting?"
"Only basics but I think people nowadays can learn more by playing VR games"
"That's true"
"I know martial arts though"
"Really?"
"Yeah"
"Then why do you suck at sports?"
"I don't suck at them, I just don't like sports"

I received a text from the ticket dealer saying ' I am at the restaurant near the theatre'. I checked the time, it is 12:15 PM.
"Hey Elena, let's go, we have to eat lunch too"
"I want to see more"

"We will come again on our next date"

There are few things I want to clear before you start reading, as I described in the synopsis, He hates this world and peoples, but he loves who loves him, he loves them and deeply cares for them.

The MC in this novel is not a typical hero, nor he is an anti-hero. He will do what he thinks is right, he only cares for himself and the people who love him.

Mc is an idiot in the game, he has no experience in the game whatsoever. He is a noob but he will use his intelligence to play the game.(So please don't complain in comments that mc is pathetic or he is an idiot)

The story will take place in both the real world and the game. It's like a slice of life but somewhat different. The story revolves around Mc, his girlfriend and people around them, but everything will be related to the game.

This can be spoiler but I suggest you read this, 

*Now let's talk about this novel, most people like Harem and some don't. You might be thinking that 'What is this idiot author doing by adding Harem in the novel even though MC already has a girlfriend', let me answer that question, I particularly don't like Harem, but it depends on the story plot.

There are certain novels, mangas, anime, which have Harem, but in the end only one girl wins or an open ending, I really hate when that happens, I really hate when any girl/Harem member cries because of that reason, so you don't have to worry about that in this novel because I WILL MAKE SURE THAT YOU CAN ACCEPT HAREM OF THIS NOVEL.(So will the MC and his girlfriend) 

Now let's talk about me, I really like making stories and I always wanted to write one. My writing style maybe bit...well more than a bit rusty because I don't have writing experience but I will make sure that you can enjoy this novel

Austin sat up with a yawn, his back itching from sleeping on the grass. Next to him, the dying embers of the fire were burning away, getting ready to extinguish. Checking on Elena who was still unconscious by the side, he frowned. Though she was no longer bleeding, the color of her face did not look any healthier than last night after her initial recovery. 
Using his magical eyes, Austin became even more worried and slightly confused.
He could see the blue and green streams running through her body, but they were very thin and scarce. A Mage's mana was supposed to recover naturally over time, so why has the mana in her remained the same after a day? Though Austin did not know how long it normally took for Elena to recover, he felt something was wrong. 'Is it because she hasn't used Magic for a long time? Or because she used up too much in the fight? Neither reason makes sense...'
Before his magical eyes wore off, Austin glanced over and saw something even weirder. But an awaking Maya disrupted him before he could enter into thought. 
"Good morning Maya," he said to her, smiling as she tiredly rubbed her eyes cutely. Using both of her hands to stand up, Maya walked over to Austin and put her arms up, asking to be carried. 
After telling stories and showing her Magic yesterday, Maya's affection for him grew by a lot. It was also because she finally had someone else to talk to, added with her subconscious gravitation to his aura of warmth.
Maya was small enough for Austin to carry. Only after he pulled her into his chest did Maya reply with a very drowsy voice, 'goo morning autin." Her tiny head drooped onto his shoulder and her eyes closed again like she wanted to go back to sleep. 
"Haha, you can sleep some more if you want." Because it was her first time not using a bed, she was not able to sleep much last night. Although, the greater reason was more likely because she was too excited from listening to and watching Austin. 
"Emmm, bu..." Maya did not want to sleep anymore after seeing him awake, but her eyes closed anyway.
Austin patted her head then brooded, 'hmm, what to do now...' He had expected Elena to wake up today so they could find out where they were and start making their way back. Already having a good idea as to who the enemy was, he wanted to confirm his suspicions before taking revenge. Thinking of this, a dangerous glint appeared in his eyes.
Austin activated his magical eyes again and looked towards the thing he had seen earlier, becoming more interested in it. Before it wore off, he took a glance towards the Maya in his arms and was surprised to discover two infant brown and blue streams inside her body. 
Then, the array of colors in his eyes dissipated and a great sense of weakness followed suit. Luckily, he anticipated this and kept himself stable, not letting Maya fall.
After using it on Elena yesterday, Austin discovered that his Magical Eyes were not only able to discern a spell and a magic tools' enhancements, but also which Magical Attributes a Mage had. 
He knew this because his own body contained six streams of red, blue, green, brown, black, and white, which should be connected to all the six elements he had an affinity to. Whilst Elena only had a blue and green color, meaning she had the water and wind Attributes, but this did not explain why she was able to manipulate ice.
Since there were no books about it in the library, Austin did not know about combining elements. It was most likely an advanced technique that could only be learned by high-Class Mages, making Austin appreciate Elena's strength more.
With what he knew, there weren't any star books that offered spells for elements other than the basic six of Fire, Earth, Water, Wind, Dark, and Light. But seeing Elena's usage of ice, there were clearly other elements out there that he did not yet know of. It made him wonder how many existed and what he - a Hex-Attribute Mage, could do.
Knowing that combining elements was a possibility, Austin tested it out yesterday by incorporating Fire and Wind, creating the hot gush of air he used to warm Maya. It was successful but clearly did not bring about a new kind of element like ice. Apart from doing this however, he did not know where else to go. He planned to do some experimenting when there was time, but the situation now did not allow for that.
Austin kept Maya in his clutch as he sat down against the tree. The aftereffects of using his Magical Eyes consecutively were too much to bear. 
Looking at Elena again, Austin thought of the next action to take. 'I don't know when Mother will awake but I can't keep her on the ground the entire time... Should I go and find some help? But I don't know how far away other people are or if it will be safe... Hmm, for now, I can ask Maya where her house is when she wakes up. It should be safe to keep Mother there for now while I check out our where we are...' After planning what to do, Austin closed his eyes to meditate.

~The Krashal Palace~
"Ghost Squadron 1 was wiped out and only one member from Squadron 2 survived." First Uncle immediately made his report after returning. He did not bother making any excuses or apologizing for Amos did not care for them and his decision would be the same either way.
A hint of surprise flashed in Amos' eyes after hearing their report. He then turned around and looked at his brothers with the same cold, apathetic look. Behind the platform, the sun was rising on the horizon and it made Amos look like a beacon of light. "What of the man and woman?" He said.
Second Uncle remained silent, leaving First Uncle to be the one to speak out, "B-Bram got away. The mother and child are... eliminated." Amos' gaze turned piercing, questioning the hesitance in his voice. Both First and Second Uncle clenched in nervousness. The moment lasted for a second but felt like an eternity before the tension dropped. With a small nod, Amos dismissed the matter and turned around again.
"How will we replace the empty positions of the Ghost Squadron? They are part of our most elite forces," First Uncle had to add in. Amos replied, "I do not care for the Ghost Squadron or our other top forces. They were only needed for claiming the Heavenly Land. In due time, they will all be replaced. Didn't you hear what I told Ral?"
"Of course," First and Second Uncle both replied. Exchanging a glance with each other, both their eyes were trembling from Amos' ambitions. Their brother really was serious about conquering the four continents...

A small wooden house was situated nearby in the forest where Austin, Elena, and Maya were. Its location was disclosed from Browncrest Village. It was hidden well, and one would not be able to stumble upon it without knowing the way.
A figure dressed in black with a bloodied sword appeared before the house. Prior to coming closer, he changed his clothes and hid the weapon away. He checked thoroughly for bloodstains on his body and any murderous scents that lingered. Only after spending a long time to confirm there were none did he start walking towards the house.
'Creak...'
The door opened and a child no more than the age of ten entered. Seeing no lights and hearing the silence, a deep frown instantly appeared on his face. The child suddenly turned into a shadow and dashed around the entire house. A murderous intent was growing heavier in the air.


Passing away peacefully on his deathbed, he embraced death, having fulfilled himself in life and left no regrets behind. 
Reincarnated into a magical world filled with the unknown, a new adventure awaits.

Galestorm and Liote stared at Pretize in bewilderment. A powerful, wealthy and huge clan like the Turquoise Sea Lord Clan, where even the servants have more than seven robes, there the main daughter having just five was not only shameful, it was unbelievable. Galestorm looked at Liote with questions written big on his face while Liote exclaimed,

"Five robes!!  Why didn't you get more robes for yourself?" 

Pretize actually just wanted some clothes from which she can make some comfortable, easy-to-move dress for herself. Five or ten robes doesn't matter to her. She answered in an emotionless voice, "I would have liked to buy but with a weekly allowance of 2 silver and 4 bronze coins, I was not able to afford it"

The more Liote and Galestorm were hearing the more shocked they were getting. Galestorm spoke in his coldest of voice, 

"Two silver coins? Liote, is this how much our family's main daughter should be receiving? Even our servants get one gold coin (which was roughly $9.6) per week. Just how have have you been looking after Pretize?" 

Liote was speechless. True, he had deprived Pretize from luxury and had not paid much attention to her but he had never been negligent about her allowance or her basic necessities. Getting to know that she had been living in a more miserbale condition than their family servants was nothing short of embarassment to him. This was a question to his capabilities as a head of the family as well as a parent. All this time, he had never bothered listening to Pretize, now that he think about it, maybe her bad behaviour culminated from her miserable state. 

It was only now that he was getting to know that his wives and his other children had been mistreating her. It never came to his notice before. He felt ashamed to have never noticed how Pretize had suffered esp since she lost her mother at a young age. To have entrusted her completely to her stepmothers, and hoped for them to care for her like their own daughter, how foolish could he have been. 

As the main daughter of the Sea Lord Clan, the weekly allowance of Pretize was 12 gold coins (which was equivalent to $115) that is 48 gold coins in a month which should be enough for her to pay her servants as well as get robes for herself.  

Liote realized that he had to stop Pretize from speaking further. Since, he had been so sorely unaware of her life, he decided instead of asking for more details, he would rather provide her with everything that was suppose to be owned by the Main daughter. 

"It must have been the servants who are appointed to deliver the allowances to you. It had been a mistake on my part to entrust so much amount to this new servants. From now on you will be staying in the Ocean wave courtyard in the east of the mansion. It is a courtyard suitable for the main daughter. I am removing all your old, lazy and untrustworthy servants and appointing two personal maid and three servants on-call. There will be three guards guarding your courtyard. Your allowance will be sent by my personal account keeper. And about the robes, for the time being you can go to the tailor department and collect whatever you require. Is there anything else?" 

Actually, Elena would have preferred having no servants. She was used to doing her work on her own. And she trusted no one. So, having servants was a burden but if she refuses it will raise suspicion. Therefore, she, instead of refusing, decided to deal with them later. She knew that Liote was trying to cover up his negligence towards her by providing her everything as suited to the Main daughter's honour. She just had one other problem. She spoke acting very grateful,

"I thank father for providing me so much just I was wondering if I was allowed to leave the mansion if I needed to get something?" 

Liote blinked in surprise. He disallowed her leaving the mansion after all the rumours. Now, that the matter was cleared, there was no reason to restrain her. But before he could say anything, Galestorm spoke,

"After the family meeting on this full moon, you are free to come and go to the mansion. I will have to ask you to restrain yourself till then" 

Elena understood Galestorm's intention. She knew he was just trying to avoid more gossips about her. But Elena also knew that she can't sneak out unless she was familiar with her surroundings. She needed to first get acquainted with this new place as well all this magic thingy. She hated being uninformed about anything. She felt like something was missing without having full information of it. Since, she can't leave, she decided to take this opportunity to learn more about this place, the magic stuff and all. As per her memory, there was a huge library in the mansion having all sorts of books. That would be the best starting point. She smiled at Galestorm and acted earnest as she spoke,

"Granddaughter would listen to grandfather" 

It was the first time that Pretize referred to him as grandfather since they met today. His cold expression got mild. Elena continued to act earnest as she spoke,

"Grandfather, am I allowed to the access of the family library? I love to read books"

Galestorm smiled at her affectionately for the first time, "You don't have to ask. As long as you have the family crest, you can access any part of the mansion"

"Thank you!" Elena said bowing her head

"Now, you rest till your courtyard is prepared" Liote said in a polite tone but his expression was still sombre, before both of them left.  

Next day, Pretize was shifted to the Ocean wave courtyard even though her body was yet to recover completely. She was escorted by two servants who introduced themselves as, Lupe Lina and Kezen Udre, in the afternoon, who barely looked sixteen. Lina was short with frail build and short brown hair while Udre was same height as her with long black hair tied neatly in a braid and big black eyes. Her shoulders were broad and looked like she knew fighting. They had packed her things from her previous courtyard which had hardly filled half of one trunk and were there to guide her to her courtyard as instructed by Liote.

When she reached the courtyard, she saw that it was huge and had enough empty space in the front of the chamber to practice martial arts. She would need that space to train this week undernourished body of hers. She saw a girl who was around the same age as her standing in front of the chamber door with a slight bow. She greeted her formally and opened the door to her chamber and escorted her in. The room was, since there was no other word to describe it, 'Luxurious'. It had a huge parlor with fully wooden table, comfortable armchair, bookshelves, torch gaps on wall where candlebra with candles were placed, even though there was a huge chandelier on the ceiling, wall hangings, a separate space for practicing magic. It led to a large bed room with a typical princess bed with bed hangings, a huge window overlooking the bed covered with velvety curtains, full size mirror with large number of cosmetics and several jewellery boxes, big wooden wardrobe with a very decorated door, large portraits adorning the walls, a beautiful eye striking chandelier and just like the parlor, there were torch gaps on the wall where candlebra was placed. 

Besides this two rooms there was a servant's quarter which was akin to a hall with four single beds in each corner, all looking very comfortable, with each corner having wardrobe, book shelf, full size mirror and small table and chair. It looked like the dormitories on Earth except it was much too comfortable. The servant's quarter was separate from Pretize's room by small corridor, not so far that they cannot hear Pretize's call but far enough to not disturb her rest with their talk. 

The room was enviably beautiful. Elena, though not fond of excessive luxury, found herself admiring it. Lina and Udre started arranging her things in the room while the other maid came and bowed to her and spoke like the chiming of the wind, 

"Third young miss, may I dress your wounds first or would you like to bath first?"

Elena cut her gaze off from the room which she was still praising and said in a deadpan voice, 

"I'll take my bath first"

The servant bowed and said again politely, "Then, let me prepare your bath" 

Elena nodded non chalantly. As, she trotted away, Elena ambled towards the window, slightly pulled the curtain apart and peeked outside. She saw there were three guards patrolling in three direction of the house. She checked the wall fencing around the courtyard which was as tall as two men. The top of the wall, however, had nothing that could stop someone from jumping in or out. She wondered if there was any magical barrier but how to check that? 

She left the curtain and walked to the mirror, rubbing her chin thoughtfully. She checked the cosmetics on the dressing table. She found quite a number of useful material. Perfect! This will be very helpful with her disguise. Now, she needs to get clothes, information and money! Living like a fugitive and running from Adrian for years, she had learn't to believe only on herself. Hence, she doesn't want to depend on this Clan for anything. She had to train her body, mind, and soul and learn about this magic and know if she can utilize it for combat! Plus, she had to know more about this world and her enemies. In this life, there was no Adrian chasing her so, she has one less headache. And dealing with those bunch of scheming family members was no big deal for her. 

She knew that she could only relax for few days as after today's incident Liote must be feeling guilt ridden and will be focussing on her for a while to ease his conscience. This will keep those pesky evil  heartless stepmothers, half siblings and cousins of hers in check for the time being but she could swear they were not going to sleep well till they avenge for today's incident. 

"Third young miss, your water is ready. I will help you with your clothes" the little maid came back and spoke formally.

Elena was wondering why Liote appointed this little girl as her personal maid. She was very thin with honey tan complexion, curly brown hair, thin small face, and almond eyes. She looked like she would be flattened in one slap. But she understood now, she was quick, efficient, not talkative, polite and very well trained. Elena instinctively also felt she had some magical power too, though, she looked very delicate. Elena strolled towards her till she came face to face with her,

"What's your name?"

"Answering to the third miss, I am known as Fren" the girl answered without raising her head 

"Fren, call Udre and Lina here" Elena instructed. 

She quickly bowed with a soft 'Yes' disappeared in a whoosh! She returned in about two minutes with Lina and Udre on her toes. They all bowed to her and said in unison, 

"Reporting to the third miss" 

Elena looked at them with her dead eyes which inadvertently made the maids shiver. She always carried an aura which made people uncomfortable but she never gave much mind to it. Afterall, she only bothered about her mission, all this trivial issues were not worth wasting efforts on.

She decided to put out some rules for these servants, otherwise, it would be nothing short of headache if they keep tailing her everywhere she goes. 

"Now that you all are serving me, there are some rules you need to follow. First, when am in my bed room, I want none of you loitering outside unless I call you. Second, whether you are bringing food or message or anything, you will first knock on the door. If I call you in THEN only you were to enter otherwise not. Third, if someone requires my audience when I am not free or have told you I am not free, you are to turn them down. No matter who it is. Clear?" 

The three servants looked at each other in surprise before Udre spoke formally, 

"Third miss, what if it is Clan Head?"

"Didn't you hear what I said? When I said No one meaning  NO ONE! Did I exclude anyone?"

"Bu-" Lina started looking anxious

"You have only one master right now and thats me. No one else. You are serving me and you will follow whatever I say! If you have issue with that you can leave right now. I don't want disobedient or rebellious servants. If you follow what I say, then you will be receiving bonus of one gold coin each at the end of the month, if not, your salary would be halved or you will be dismissed immediately depending on the degree of your mistake! Am I clear?"

And what's with this magic and combat stuff? And is the reason for her body's previous owner's murder all that meets the eye? Or is there a bigger plot that she overlooked?

A month goes by and now its October. Things have cooled down some, after the engagement ball, Zero hasn't seen or heard from Yuki at all. He never let on. How he was really feeling that night with Elena. She doesn't know. That Zero was thinking of Yuki every time, he made love to her that night. Trying to get it out of his system. Working through his own feelings. She stayed in the dark. Zero treats her very well though. Not trying to hurt her. Trying to move on and make a life for himself without Yuki in it. He still can't help thinking about her and what it would have been like. If he never left her leave Cross. He regrets not stopping her and the words he said to her. Knowing he can't take either back. Trying not to do the same thing with Elena. He has come to have strong feelings for her. Still not as strong as the ones for Yuki. He knows they will always be there. He just now tries to hide them from her.

One day while working Yagari comes into his office.

 "Well, did you hear?" Yagari asks.

"Hear what?" Zero remarks. 

"About the wedding of the century, that took place on Saturday?" Yagari answers.

 "No. I Have no time for weddings." Zero states. 

"Well, Yuki and Kaname are now hitched."Yagari states. 

"Well good for them. She wanted the bastard. Now she has him." Zero replies. 

Trying not to even show Yagari how he truly feels.

 "Yep. Happy together. Just thought I would let you know."Yagari announces as he walks out the door.

 Zero grabs everything on his desk and throws it to the floor.

 "Son Of a Bitch!" Zero shouts.

 "Mother fucker." Zero shouts louder as the papers and books hit the floor. Pure anger raging through him.

 "Fuck them both!" He snaps.

 Slamming the door of his office and walking down the hall to the vending machine. Grabbing a cup of coffee, to try to calm his nerves. His pale face now flushed with red. You can see the steam coming out of his head from his anger. He takes a seat in the lobby drinking the coffee and trying to cool down. Getting back up with rage still in his blood, giving the vending machine a large kick. A nearby hunter just staring.

 "What did the machine do to you?" He laughs.

 "Everything! The fucker did everything!" Zero replies. Walking back to his office.

Yagari sitting in his own office. 

"I Think Zero took that better than I expected," Yagari says sarcastically. 

"I figured the break room would have caught fire or a person's head would of went through a wall," Yagari adds. 

"I thought his desk would of went out of the window. "Kaien remarks. 

"At least now, he knows it's over. Maybe he can move on. Its the only reason I told him." Yagari replies.

 "I hope so. It's really a sin for Elena." Kaien states.

Zero goes back to his office grabbing his jacket. He heads to Cross to sit under his tree. Needing time to think. To process what happened.

 "She gave herself to him. How could she?" Zero says to himself. 

Hurt in his heart. Zero knows he needs to pull himself together before its time to go home. He can't let Elena see him like this. It would kill her to know. How he truly feels. He needs to show no emotion. What he is known best for. Just this time he doesn't know if, he could do it. The pain he feels is overwhelming. It feels as if his heart is broken into many pieces.

Zero spends the rest of the afternoon under the tree. Thinking about everything. How Yuki just gave up and went with Kaname. How she is supposed to love him, yet married another man. He knew now more than ever. He needed to move on. Needed to be the man that Elena needed. She stood by him through all of this. Never complaining. Just taking the shit as it flew. Just because she cared so much for him. Zero knew he wanted his own family. He had none of his real one left. It was time to move on and rebuild. He knew he could do that with Elena.

One the way home Zero stops at a Jewelry store, picking out a pretty good size engagement ring. Feeling it was time for this to happen. To show Elena how grateful he was for her being here with him. It was the least he could do. For all the damage and hurt he has put her through.

Once home Elena is in the kitchen like always getting dinner together. Zero walks up behind her. Putting his arms around her and holding her close to him. 

"Hey. How was your day?" Elena asks. Putting her head on his shoulder as she stirs the pot of rice on the stove.

 "It was ok. How was yours?" Zero asks.

 "Pretty good. I think. I am really getting through to the students. I just love being a teacher." Elena replies. 

"Good. I am glad to see you happy. You really do deserve it. You are such a good woman." Zero states.

 Elena looking up at him, still in his arms. Her back on his firm chest. 

"I love you Zero." She responds. 

"I know you do. That's why I want to ask you something." Zero says.

 Turning Elena around to face him, Getting on one knee and pulling out the ring.

 "Will you marry me?" Zero asks.

 Elena gasps at the site of the ring, putting both hands up to her mouth. Tears streaming down her face.

 "YES! Oh My God! YES!" She screams.

 Jumping into his arms. Kissing him everywhere. From his forehead down his nose to his mouth. The happiness just radiating from her. Zero just holds her knowing if nothing else. He had someone good by his side. She would never hurt him as Yuki has. Never run off with someone else. She wasn't the type. She really was a good woman. He knew in a way too good for him. She deserved someone better. Someone who really loved her and only her. He just wasn't able to give her that.

Elena wanted to get married and fast Wasting no time. Not wanting anything big. Something simple and special. They get married under the tree, That they first made love under. Yagari saying the vows. Making it even more special. Elena never knowing the real reason of why this is even taking place. That the one he really wanted to marry, married someone else. Elena never knowing what also happened that day in Zero's office. Zero kept a lot of his own secrets from her. Yagari never telling what he witnessed. Hoping deep down that Zero would let go of the past and move on. To be happy with a woman that truly cared for and loved him. It was Yagari's only wish.

This takes place a year after Yuki leaves with Kaname. Zero is left at Cross To do his duties, Kaien gives him a new partner to help. One that is madly in love with Zero. Could he fall for her? Or still be lost in Yuki? Zero makes some wrong decisions, that changes his life. This is rated M for Mature. There will be adult language and sexual content.
