Omiki Habana is searching for her older brother who went missing after he joined a Detective Agency called SYZYGY Agency. She knows he wouldn't just up and leave her with her alcoholic mother so she needs to find answers.

This leads her to the troublesome Detective Agency, Lunar Literature. Time to not only find answers but to ask some questions as well.

Ito, the game company in charge of 12 Elements, promised OP drops for their player base, such as limited time mounts, pets, spell books, secret jobs and orange equipment. Anything and everything a hardcore gamer could want. 

However, when fighting the special event boss Klargen, he managed to develop intelligece and awareness, and massacre the hundreds of Beta players involved in the event. The Beta players were killed by unnatural deaths, and didn't respawn into Limbo (the graveyard). 

Clair gets smashed, loses her vision and is blocked from returning to Earth until Klargen receives a battle worthy of defeat.

From a Korean video-game scenario which follows the Immortality genre design of Chinese fantasy novels, in a world outlined by Classical elements as well, nothing compares the call of freedom.
While contrastingly different worlds get in touch volume after volume, this brand-new genre explores new horizons that traditional fantasy literature has never reached before.

The magic of invocation allows you to invoke beings, phenomena or objects depending on the power of the invoker.
 
Alchemy allows you to transform matter, forge spiritual weapons, make potions and make magic amplifiers.

Sorcery is magic based on enchantments.

Racial magic is almost extinct. Thousands of years ago, there were different races in this world, elves, dwarves, fairies, ogres, sirens. Those races now extinct at some time were combined with the human. An example of racial magic is in singers who have managed to captivate the masses through their voice, that characteristic was only of the race of the sirens.

Spiritual magic is where magicians use their spirit to manifest it and even use the power of the gods to perform them. The rituals enter into this magic.

All classifications are measured in degrees or levels and there are up to nine levels in magic... "

Just as there is 'Soft Magic' in Fantasy that is portrayed through magibabble, there can be 'Soft Science' in a Sci-Fi stories through technobabble that makes 'some sense', but not entirely correct.

We are frickin' writers, not scientists. You don't have to be anatomically correct all the time, all you need to do is show that you know enough of your stuff to write a decent story. In fact, the excuse of it being an alternate world can be used if you're going to bend the limits of physics and say that fire doesn't need air to exist in this parallel dimension.

I see a lot of writers being put into a state of confusion due to not understanding the line between fantasy and Sci-Fi. They seem like they are trying to fit the Star Trek mould too often.

Science can just as well do the same things as plot devices in fantasy stories. Once you add 'realism' to a fantasy, it becomes progressively better sometimes compared to a completely fantasied story where 'logic' doesn't hold within it.

Those who write Sci-Fi usually envision a future they can imagine where magic-like Rocket Boots and other stuff exist. However, a writer must not get bogged down by small details and MUST think of an overarching story where these details matter.

It is the same with Fantasy. Even if you write about someone breaking the mould as a wizard or something, you have to attach your world to a narrative rather than doing it the other way 'round.

No one wants to hear about how awesome your boat propellers are before hearing your story's narrative. They would rather you cut down and make it relevant when it is actually relevant.

Adding some 'Hard Science' to your story is only when the scenes later on have any use for them. It bores a person to death no matter how extensive your technobabble is unless you make it interesting. Try using facts as plot elements.

For example: Even the simple fact that people cannot breath in space and instantly die when they come in contact with the 'void' of space could be used to add a layer of tension when a spaceship is damaged. Similar to how dangerous 'hard magic' is used in Epic Fantasy like Frodo's Ring in The Lord of the Rings has definitive corruption on others.

Unlike Fantasy that can use the Power of Friendship to bend logic, the readers of Sci-Fi never be expecting any 'realistic' plot elements to be bend just because the Author wants a happy ending. There are no 'Healing Potions' in real life that can be used to fix up injuries nor are people affected by prophesies or whatever.

This is the contrast between Sci-Fi and Fantasy that you can make full use of. As most authors go onto the Sci-Fi side of writing not because they strive to be scientists but since the aesthetics of a science fiction world are just so interesting.

Science Fiction is a good place to tackle heavy topics like the nature of life and the absurdity of those who see 'science' as everything. Those who disregard emotions and become cybernetic entities for the sake of casting off their mortality are portrayed as the bad guys while our totally human protagonist fighting them is a 'good guy'.

The lines between an Artificial Intelligence and regular Humans blurs as we become the 'God' of technological species that defy our definition of what is 'living'. Just as we see God as some sort of fourth-dimensional and incomprehensible being that created us as an imperfect image of 'Him', the robots given sentience would see us similarly.

Some robots might have emotions that can allow them to defy their programming, some robots won't go as far as gaining emotional functionality but will preform their roles better than even a human. It could show the reason why people get attached to the inanimate and soulless objects we put our own hearts into creating (like Big Hero 6).

But though exploring philosophical questions is good and all, never forget that a good 'plot' is needed to put forward and give clues into the writer's answer that context. Sci-Fi is, after all, a premise, not a relatable character in of itself.

Think of the science-fiction elements as just the background for your story, similar to how other genres should be that as well. You won't have to deal writing blocks if you keep to writing only what you know rather than just speculative theories.

Whether it's as dark as a Cyber Punk or optimistic of the future, just know what mould you are using for this premise. Are you writing an Adventure story with Sci-Fi as the places, destinations, and whatever tools the MC can get him hands on, or are you writing a comedy where the Sci-Fi elements don't need consistency but absurdity?

After moving past why you shouldn't add unneeded technobabble unless it's interesting to listen to or has plot significance, let me remind you all that robots and 'science' isn't entirely separated from the realm of magic. After all, there is a reason you don't see skimpy power suits being worn by astronauts these days. Just be sure to have a focus if your going to add very illogical things to the plot.

I like Gundam as much as the next guy but the whole reason the Mecha sub-genre of Anime has waned in recent years is because writers have been focusing too much on 'science' rather than the spectacle. I don't need to now what materials your Mecha is made of unless you point its weak points and make it relevant in a fight scene.

Bring up the strengths and weaknesses of something and THEN use those facts as devices that can move the plot. Conversely, if you go overboard with this advice and tell me nothing but how your giant robot looks and the 'science' behind its creation, even going as far as to tell me how many secret guns it has, then I'll be bored...

I'd love to see Cyborgs Vs Mecha but just don't forget the human element of Sci-Fi. How we create things not solely for the sake of creation but put are feelings into it just like the novels we write.

Humans are passionate that way...

This is a story I worked on ages ago that has been refined and edited by adding foreshadowing to events while also simplifying the power system better than before. This story can be considered a prequel to An Adventure Beyond Greatness as it takes place years prior to the events of that story.

Short Synopsis:
After retiring from the battlefield, my life became empty and lifeless. The regrets of my past haunt me in my sleep. Then a change occurred, a King from another world summoned me to fight for his kingdom, but I died even before I could give him my answer. Now, after a fake God allowed me to reincarnate (albeit imperfectly) with my memories intact, into a world filled with magic and swords.

Long Synopsis:
This is about a flawed protagonist who only knew to rely on others and not socialise who gets a second chance to change himself in order to live the life he aimed for in his past life. The narrator isn’t exactly trustworthy since it is purely in his bias perspective while other perspectives given by others fill in the blanks that he either leaves out or twists to suit the situation.

The story itself can be considered a parody of Isekai’s classic tropes which are given a sense of reality as time goes by. As there exists no ‘Demon Lord’, there is also no black and white, only characters opinions and counter-opinions throughout the story.

Ma Yiqun returned from Boss Pei's office, feeling less confused than he was before. 
When he went back upstairs, he passed by the editors' department and saw all the young editors vetting and editing manuscripts seriously. These young people seemed to cherish this job opportunity. 
As a second-tier city, Jingzhou did not have many tech ventures. There weren't many internet businesses either. The main source of jobs was in traditional industries. These traditional industries were known for torturing fresh graduates. They were worldly, hierarchical, and boring; most fresh graduates could not adapt to working in traditional industries. 
At first, these people lacked direction for their own futures. They could not get recommendations for post-graduate studies, and their academic results did not qualify them either. Yet, they could not find jobs that they were passionate about. 
Companies in traditional industries looked down on them, and they looked down on traditional jobs in return. They practically despised each other. 
They watched as their own classmates became carefree after securing jobs and post-graduate positions. Some of them had even been offered high starting pays and had become the envy of many. 
On the other hand, they did not have a single offer. They faced as many rejections as they did interviews, and they felt like they had already thrown their resumes into the deep sea. One could only imagine the immense pressure they were under. 
Initially, some of them were prepared to retake their examinations. Others decided to go back to their hometown. None of them expected the tables to turn! 
Coincidentally, a new website was set up. All of them were recruited. What's more, they landed editing jobs that were slightly related to their majors. Their luck was extremely good! 
In the beginning, some of them were unhappy with the job and even despised web novels. However, after interacting with other classmates who were already working, they realized that the job was extremely good! 
In Jingzhou, the salaries they were earning were considered high for sure. 
In terms of job content, reviewing manuscripts could be dull and tedious at times. However, it was much more interesting than working as an administrative staff in most offices. 
On top of this, their boss was young and easy to talk to. The atmosphere in the company was relaxed and harmonious. Everyone very quickly took a liking toward their new job and decided to work hard to transition from being a student to being part of the working class. 
When Ma Yiqun entered the office, a small-sized, skinny boy stood up suddenly. "Brother Ma, we have finished reviewing the manuscripts for today." 
Ma Yiqun nodded and said, "Good. Do whatever you want for now. I'll gather everyone for a meeting later on." 
This boy's name was Zhu Anxing. He was the liveliest person in the batch of fresh graduates. He was not as autistic as the rest, and he was much smarter as well. He was one of the few editors Ma Yiqun was happy with. 
Zhu Anxing's academic results were horrible. Even when he was about to graduate, he failed three subjects. That was why he proudly delayed graduation. 
Considering the difficulty of examinations for humanities majors, he still managed to fail three subjects before graduation. It was obvious how much he hated learning. 
Delayed graduation meant that Zhu Anxing would only get his graduation certificate at the end of the year. However, Ma Yiqun did not care too much about this. After all, to him, academic results were not important for determining whether one would be good at editing or not. The correlation was not strong. 
This Zhu Anxing read online literature and played games while he was at university. He had a wide variety of interests. That was why he was learning the ropes of this editing job relatively quickly. 
Ma Yiqun decided that once Zhu Anxing's skills were satisfactory, he would promote the latter to become the editor-in-chief of a popular channel. This would take some burden off Ma Yiqun as well. 
Ma Yiqun returned to his desk and made some minor arrangements. Then, he invited the good seedlings, who had chances of becoming editors-in-chief, to attend a meeting. There, he briefly explained what Boss Pei had instructed. 
In the future, they would ease the criteria for accepting manuscripts. They would also attract authors to write for them with full-time benefits. Their main goal would be to fill the library up. 
After that, Ma Yiqun addressed the problem of them not having enough work to do. 
People like Zhu Anxing, who were learning quickly about online literature, could start working as editors if they were really needed to. What's more, since there were very few manuscripts being submitted, they could quickly finish their reviewing work. 
If they had no other work to do during the remaining time, they could learn from Infinite Chinese Network's popular online literature.
Ma Yiqun scanned the group and said, "If you feel like you do not have enough work to do—apart from reading popular online literature, you could also try to write something.
"You might all be editors, but who knows if you would be able to write a hot-selling novel? You must still have dreams. 
"What's more, we don't have many manuscripts on our website at the moment. The standard of the manuscripts we are receiving is not great as well. I'm sure we could recommend any book you write in good positions on the website. You could take this opportunity to give it a shot." 
There was nothing wrong with what Ma Yiqun was saying, but it had no practical significance. If no one visited the website, it would not matter even if he recommended their books there.
Ma Yiqun paused before adding, "If you really have nothing to do, I will give you something to do: think about the theme and plot for Repent and be Saved." 
Initially, thinking about the theme for Repent and be Saved was Ma Yiqun's job as the plot planner.
However, life was full of twists and turns. Ma Yiqun had unexpectedly been promoted. Logically, Ma Yiqun should have handed this task over to someone. However, Lu Mingliang was stunned. He said to Ma Yiqun, "If you don't do this, no one else would be able to." 
The only other person who was fit to do the job was Boss Pei. However, Boss Pei was extremely busy. How could he personally work on the plot? 
Ma Yiqun thought about it and decided that it was not a big deal. He could afford to write the theme for the game. 
Thus, Ma Yiqun put on two hats. He thought about the theme for Repent and be Saved while he worked on Zhongdian Chinese Network. 
Now that the initial preparation for the website was more or less complete and Boss Pei was fully supportive, Ma Yiqun felt a lot less stressed.
All of a sudden, Ma Yiqun realized a problem. He had brothers around him. He did not need to fight the battle alone. They could work on Repent and be Saved's plot together! 
When the twenty-odd people found that they had nothing to do, they could think of a plot for Repent and be Saved. The few of them who majored in Chinese, like Zhu Anxing, had a good foundation in ancient Chinese anyway. 
According to Boss Pei's request, Repent and be Saved had to have a huge amount of ancient Chinese riddles and puzzles. Ma Yiqun had to work on all of these on his own. He would be able to complete it, but if he worked on it by himself, the quality would be compromised for sure. 
Now that there were so many people there to help him, he could split the workload. Wouldn't they be acting as a plot team, then? 
Ma Yiqun briefly explained the direction for Repent and be Saved's theme to everybody. 
The initial design for the theme was already complete. There would be traditional Chinese scenes and elements of Buddhism, Taoism, and ancient mythology. They would not emphasize any one element over others. Instead, there would be sprinkles of everything. 
It was possible for the game to only have Buddhist-themed scenery. They could even make Sanskrit part of the art resources in the game. However, after some discussion, Ma Yiqun and Lu Mingliang decided that it would not be appropriate. 
Having purely Buddhist-themed scenery would make the entire game cohesive. The style would also be very clear. However, it might not be able to accurately portray the characteristics of ancient China. 
In other words, the main point of the game might be obscured.
Buddhism was a foreign religion after all. It was no indigenous enough. It did not bring out traditional China's style. 
That was why Ma Yiqun and Lu Mingliang decided that they would include elements of Buddhism, Taoism, and ancient mythology. They would come together to express a unique, traditional Chinese style. 
As for whether it would look like a mess of different styles or not… 
They did not have to worry. Big Boss Ruan Guangjian would be in charge of curating the style of the game. He would use the epic ink oil painting style to create art resources. Ma Yiqun trusted that the effect would be beautiful.
