A sadistic smile grew on his face. To begin over once again, I Shi Tian shall devour everything.
Inside the egg, this ant began maniacally eating, right now all he had on his mind was that he needed to eat, devour, Cultivate and once more return to the peak.
Devour, devour he must. 
Cultivate by devouring. That was his role as a scavenger.
Completely eating the egg, leaving nothing behind an ant stood there 2cm in length.
Looking around he saw he was surrounded by thousands of eggs.
As he thought to himself, an evil plan crossed his mind. If he could eat all of these eggs he could bring his Scavenger bloodline to the peak once more.
2 eggs began to hatch, Shi Tian began walking up to them emitting an aura of brilliance. 
Inside his head, he became extremely happy, and he immediately began to plan out his attack.
Although this thought quickly left him looking up at the 2 ants emitting a bright golden aura as they walked out of their half-eaten shells.
Looking towards the two blue ants, golden scales ran across their bodies.
Shi Tian turned a ghostly white
"Fuck!" Shi Tian exclaimed under his breath 
Two blue ants were 3 times his size emitting an aura full of pride, the aura of a king.
"I can't be they are all this size, right? What bullshit is this why am I red and not blue! I feel scammed".
The two blue ants looked at each other than at the small red ant.
Grin
"Hehe."
Staring at the small red ant
They spoke
"You will follow us from now on, from today on you're the little brother and we are the older brothers, remember to follow our orders diligently and we will reward you."
The red ant's heart dropped, he thought to himself in extreme anger,
"How, why? What bullshit is this, why am I red? not blue."
Staring up he screamed in his heart with all his might
"Why must you cheat me!"
Within the pause of the red ant, the blue ant having received no response became angered.
He shouted, "Fucking answer me!"
red ants heart shattered once again
reluctantly replying
"Yes, big brother!"
The blue ant now happy
Spoke in a delighted tone
"Haha, good!, my name is Feng as in 'to mock' and Zhu as in 'god' (Feng Zhu)( To mock god), remember it well."
Pointing towards the other ant seemingly falling asleep he spoke again 
"This is our older brother Feng as in 'to mock' and Shen as in 'carefully' (Feng Shen) (To mock carefully)."
Feng Shen looked towards the red ant and muttered
"First brother." In a very low voice
Then pointed towards Feng Zhu and muttered once more
"Second." 
Then pointed towards Shi Tian and said in a listless voice
"Name?"
Shi Tian replied
"This little brother is called Shi Tian 
Shi as in 'To Devour' and Tian as in 'Heaven' (Shi Tian) (To Devour Heaven)."
The two brothers looked to each other and smiled they both spoke
"Good name, ants should have Domineering names... You must also be a reincarnate?"
Not caring about what they were saying Shi Tian pointed towards the remnants of the eggs and spoke one 
"Eat?"
Feng Zhu and Feng Shen thought to themselves. Eat? He said he wants to eat? many thoughts crossed their minds however in the end then said, "Go ahead."
Shi Tian's face became delighted 
"You said it, you can't go back on your words!" He quickly said 
Quickly ran up and began hitting the ground with his small created a small burrow.
Then he swiftly began to collect the shells and transfer them into the burrow.
Only once they shells wherein the burrow did he begin to devour, for 3 days and 3 nights he was in a mindless state. Only one thought was on his mind to devour, devour everything.
Looking towards the small burrow the two brothers were becoming slightly worried.
Was he actually eating the shells during this time? What nutrition do ant eggs have? Even after these thoughts, in the end, the two brothers chose not to enter and disturb him. 
The two brothers where after all reincarnates of the King Ant bloodline eating the eggshells gave 0 beneficial value. They would only grow through absorbing the Qi of the dead and the earth, to the food was unnecessary.

Inside the small burrow 
Within Shi Tian's stomach extremely chaotic energy, a dark void. The Scavenger bloodline began to bloom within him, he began growing larger and larger.
Shi Tian had grown 3 sizes in length, he was now 6cms.
Although,
Unfortunately for him, he didn't consider his growth when creating this burrow. 
Shi Tian was in a predicament. 
He was stuck, he began to struggle to try to break free,
He writhed and wiggled around and even attempted to devour the earth.  
Even with the Scavenger bloodline
There was no prevail.
Now all he could do was scream for help.
"1st Brother, 2nd Brother, save me!"

Outside the small burrow 
Hundreds of small Larvae were crawling around. Hearing the screaming all of them looked towards Xiao Dian Di the weakest and smallest Larvae among them. 
A few of the bigger Larvae directly said to Xiao Dian Di 
"Go investigate!" in a domineering manner.
As this was said the rest of the small Larvae started to chant 
"Go investigate... go, go, go!"
Xiao Dian Di let out a pitiful laugh and began to follow orders. He followed the rules of this world, the strong rule the weak.
Walking into the depths of the burrow, Xiao Dian Di saw nothing but red earth surrounding.
"Nothings down here?"
Suddenly two large eyes opened and stared down on him.
Xiao Dian Di instantly scared began to flee.
Shi Tian spoke in an extremely calm yet frightening voice,
"Come, back or death."
Xiao Dian Di instantly froze in place how a voice so calm could be so frightening no-one knew, turning around 
Xiao Dian Di  spoke once more
"Ancestor, what is it I can do for you?"
Shi Tian spoke out "Don't call me ancestor just dig me out."
"But Ancestor how did you get stuck down here?"
Instantly after saying this Xiao Dian Di felt regret, killing aura was pressuring him down. He could only cry to himself slightly and apologize.
"I'm sorry boss! I will dig you out immediately, no questions asked"
"If the boss tells me to dig I will dig."
Since Xiao Dian Di was small, it took 6 hours to dig out Shi Tian.

Outside the burrow
The Larvae were still swarmed around the entrance, however, some things had changed since he left, a few fallen larvae laid on the ground dead is eating. The strong eat the weak this was the rule of the strong. 
Xiao Dian Di exited first while Shi Tian watched from inside the burrow.
Upon Xiao Dian Di's arrival, 
A few of the bigger larvae looked towards him, smiles appeared on their faces.
"Haha, brothers. A meal has arrived prepared to eat!"
They began rushing towards him, the bigger larvae that had bullied him in the past. 
Sent strikes towards him, filled with killing intent.
Xiao Dian Di, felt death today, intense killing intent rushed towards him.
At this moment, a wide grin appeared on Shi Tian's face.
Shi Tian appeared outside of the burrow, looking towards Xiao Dian Di, he spoke
"Are they your friends?"
Xiao Dian Di instantaneously replied, "No."
Shi Tian began emitting unfathomable killing intent.
Shi Tian spoke in a voice filled with joy.
"Devour."

I woke up the next day snuggled in my bed and saw that Zach was nowhere to be seen. Remembering the events from the previous night, I blushed. That was sweet of him to do that for me. 

I took a shower and put on some casual clothes before scrounging through my fridge. There was a leftover container of larvae that I did not dare to touch the day before. 

Although Zach had explained that insects and bugs were an important part of a faerie's diet since it's out only source of protein, I was still reluctant to try some. 

After all, being a human previously, I ate vegetables and meat, definitely not bugs. Unfortunately, these bugs are like the 'vegetables' of fey diet, and is extremely important. 

My stomach growled. How I wish I did not finish all the other faerie food that was not the larvae. 

Back then, I was too hungry and greedy for food that it never occurred to me I might have needed to save some of it. 

Speaking of which, Zach never told me how I was to earn Jews to be able to buy substantials for myself. 

Looks like I would have to pay the Fey Kingdom a visit after I finish those larvae. 

I took the container of frozen larvae out from the fridge and set it down on the kitchen table. Taking a deep breath to calm my nervous beating heart, I slowly uncapped the container.

A pleasing aroma filled my nostrils. I never knew larvae could smell like chocolate cake. Slowly, after being somewhat reassured by the smell, I picked one larva up between my index and thumb. 

It was fat and juicy. Wet, squealching sounds echoed through the kitchen as a slight squeeze of my fingers caused a thick green substance to ooze out from the end of the larva. 

I turned it around and watched it with fascination. Closing my eyes, I prepped myself and popped it into my mouth. 

It did not taste as bad as I thought it would. For some reason, it tasted sweet with a tinge or saltiness. 

I opened my eyes in surprise. That sure changed my views on eating bugs. Maybe my modified faerie tongue had something to do with this, but I was not going to complain. 

After eating about half the container, I washed up and headed out of my apartment. The first place I thought of to go to was the convenience store. I needed information on how to even get into Higean, where Zach lived. 

The familiar dinging of bells rang in my ear as I walked into the store. Cray looked up and his eyes widened when he saw me. 

"Good morning." He smiled and continued,

"And what does My Lady want of me today I wonder?" 

"Good morning to you too, Cray. You can just call me Lila. I need to know how to get to the portal that leads to Higean." I said quickly and stared at him intently.

However, Fraser knew that the project of trying to transfer strong abilities with his innate spell would take a long time. 

By a long time, Fraser meant his entire life. 

After all special abilities or certain traits can only be considered an advantage in a certain territory. 

Besides, with time there will always be a variety of traits or abilities. Even within a single species, a single mutation can cause a former useless trait or ability to become a useful trait or ability. 

Adding the fact that the world doesn't only consist of one trait or ability, the multiplying factor of traits, abilities, perks, skills or anything else that can be considered a form of power should be considered.

So Fraser didn't rely on the AI completely, however, he had to admit that the AI took a major role in the amount of knowledge he was able to gather. 

'Today should be the day where the twenty corpse piles will be delivered. AI, show me my status.' 

[7.11 strength, 8.02 agility, 3.97 vitality, 8.23 spirit] 

'How come that all of my attributes increased? Strength, agility, and vitality shouldn't be raised to easily. I didn't even train in the Knight Breathing Technique.' 

Fraser pondered about that increase for a short while, however, a knock on his stone door interrupted that thought. 

Naturally, the one to answer the door wasn't Fraser himself. Instead, it was Second and Third who opened the stone door in such a manner that Fraser could see who knocked. 

The elve of Vira's group sat there, behind her stood five concealed figures, all dragging a huge cart with a small mountain corpse on top of it. 

"Since our last transaction didn't go fluently, this time I will personally oversee the transaction." spoke the elve with her calming voice. 

With a short nod, Fraser replied to the elve before commanding One, Second and Third to carry away the mountain of corpses. 

The five apprentices who stood behind the elve glared at One, Second and Third for a while before forming a circle and starting whispering. 

Even Fraser and the elve looked towards how One, Second and Third carried the corpses one by one towards the room which Fraser deemed as the storing room. 

Thus a silent unfolded which the elve broke. 

With her soothing and calm voice she spoke: 

"How are you?" 

As if meeting an idiot Fraser raised his eyebrows before turning towards the elve. 

But he joined her game and replied: 

"I am fine. How are you?" 

"Do you want to join my group? Your acquaintances also joined our group." asked the elve in a blunt way. 

Instead of answering, Fraser replied with a question:

"Are you an elve? Like those wooden creatures with strong connection towards the forest and affinity towards wind, water, and plant element?" 

This question caused a shock at the face of the elve, which she quickly tried to hide. 

"I wouldn't say that I am an elve, can you explain to me why you think that I am an elve? Did you meet one?" 

That was the reply of the probably elve apprentice, however as she playfully smiled and played with her hands Fraser immediately stopped the topic and instead switched the topic:

"I am not interested in joining your, or Vira's group. Besides I wouldn't call your four newbies acquaintances." 

As Fraser didn't know whether the apprentice who looked like an elve was part of Vira's group or just somebody who had their own group who liked to chill with Vira's, he used "or". 

Besides, the elven apprentice acted like it was equal to Vira's, so probably a partner or a rival? 

"Oh, that is an unfortunate answer. Still, you don't have to join our group. We can become friends. After all, good friends are hard to find. Especially in our circle." 

The last sentence was spoken in a slightly more sad tone than the rest, but as the elven apprentice had a calming and soothing voice, Fraser could only guess whether that what he heard could be seen as sad or not. 

After that sentence from the elven apprentice, a silent between Fraser and the elven apprentice spread. 

When Second carried the last corpse towards the storage room, the elven apprentice smiled towards Fraser and disappeared behind a corner with the five concealed apprentices. 

Closing the stone door, Fraser walked towards a certain room. 

It was a room filled with corpses, enough for another servant of the type soldier. 

However, this time more corpses were added in order to test whether the numeric attributes of the servants would increase with more corpses. 

Besides, all of the new servants of the type soldier would have more corpses compared to One, Second or Third. 

Since Fraser wasn't sure on how many servants he would be able to control, he decided to round the spirit that he perceived a single servant took. 

The AI wasn't able to give a detailed number, however, the estimated spirit from the AI also met his own estimation: one spirit point per servant of the type soldier. 

So five rooms with about ten corpse piles would be the place where his new servants would hatch. 

When Fraser visited his first hatching room he started to retreat into his spirit sphere with the innate spell engraved on the wall. 

A steady stream of spirit got sucked into the runes which started to glow. 

With fascination Fraser how once more a wiggly something appeared on his arms. 

As soon as the larvae appeared, this distinct feeling of another connection appeared in Fraser's mind. 

The feeling of another friend and comrade.

With a short thought command of being a soldier, the larvae jumped towards the pile of corpses and burrowed itself into the middle of it. 

Fraser repeated this process four more times. 

With each process, he felt the feeling of building a connection with the larvae. A meaningful connection which would last his entire life. 

Like a drug addict, Fraser continued to use his innate spell. 

As Fraser arrived at the last room, he knew that the feeling of creating a servant is something that is incredible. 

Yet, deep down, Fraser knew that he couldn't abuse this feeling to feel good. As the created larvae would automatically know the reason for its birth. 

And it definitively won't be good if it knows that the only reason why it exists was so that Fraser could feel good. 

However, Fraser still wanted to do create more larvae with his innate spell in order to test the battle strength of single larvae and their abilities. 

After all the ability had to be useful to a certain extent. Perhaps the larvae had abilities which turned it into a capable fighter.

Someone transmigrated into the body of a noble that was on his way to become a Magi. His only keepsake, an AI-Chip that had the ability to calculate and store information. Thus, follow the journey of Fraser Rosethorn.

Mo Fan felt his head spinning; he had totally lost his sense of direction.
The force of the claw was absolutely ridiculous. Mo Fan almost felt his bones falling apart from the impact, even though he was wearing the Black Snake Armor!
While Mo Fan was losing consciousness, he suddenly sensed a strong presence coming from the side. His hair instantly stood on its end as a huge shadow loomed over him!
The Black Sea Drake opened its mouth and bit at Mo Fan!
Mo Fan cast the Fleeing Shadow when its fangs were mere inches away from his face. He split into two shadows and barely escaped from the creature's jaws through the gaps between its fangs!
The Black Sea Drake continued to chase after Mo Fan's shadows relentlessly. Its long dragon whiskers seemed to have minds of their own, and actually wrapped around his body to tie him up like a golden chain.
Mo Fan was shocked when he saw the dragon whiskers squeezing in. If he was trapped by the dragon's whiskers, he would surely be shoved into the creature's mouth right away!
"Dark Noble Mantle!"
Mo Fan did not preserve his strength any further. He quickly Summoned the Dark Noble Mantle.
The silhouette of a long mantle swiftly appeared on his back while he was still in the form of a shadow. It looked like a pair of wings folding up.
As soon as the mantle appeared, Mo Fan's presence vanished without a trace. The shadow completely merged with the ocean and the rocks. It was impossible to tell where Mo Fan went!
The Black Sea Drake's whiskers immediately lost their target. They were swinging aimlessly in the air, not knowing if they should withdraw or reach further.
The Black Sea Drake's fierce eyes were trying very hard to hunt Mo Fan down, too!
It would not believe that the human had vanished without a trace. The intelligent Black Sea Drake splashed water across the sky to find where Mo Fan was hiding.
As the spray of water started falling, the Black Sea Drake soon noticed the rain's path had altered, as if it had landed on something.
The Black Sea Drake huffed, as if it was laughing at the human's amusing attempt. Its whiskers immediately lunged at the human figure that the water was highlighting in the air, and quickly tied it up.
The Black Sea Drake dragged the figure right to it when it felt its whiskers had caught something, trying to pull the human out from his hiding spot. It then bit at it with a huge bite.
However, it was only a black mantle disguising itself as a human figure. It reclaimed its usual appearance when the Black Sea Drake forcibly dragged it forwards. There was nothing inside the mantle, like a magician who had vanished into thin air inside his slender cape.
Mo Fan gradually appeared behind the Black Sea Drake. The mantle that the Black Sea Drake had caught disappeared suddenly too, before reappearing on Mo Fan's shoulders.
The Black Sea Drake was confused. It had no clue how the human had managed to pull it off. Meanwhile, it felt a scorching heat coming from behind it, which felt rather terrifying even though it had yet to land!
"Flame Sword!" Standing behind the Black Sea Drake, Mo Fan raised the burning sword and slashed forward.
The giant ten-meter-long sword struck the Black Sea Drake on the back and immediately left a long, burning cut around its vertebrae. The fire was burning inside the Black Sea Drake's flesh.
The Black Sea Drake let out a painful cry. The spikes on its back rose suddenly and belched out a cloud of black smoke at Mo Fan.
The smoke was pitch-black, with a rather unpleasant smell.
Mo Fan knew the black smoke was poisonous. He did not dare to go any closer, but immediately fled outside the area of the smoke.
He flung the Dark Noble Mantle up, producing a shadow looming over the place. Mo Fan was basically invisible within the shadow, and his speed was several times faster than when he was casting Fleeing Shadow!
With the Dark Noble Mantle, Mo Fan no longer needed to worry about finding a shadow. The Dark Noble Mantle was able to provide him with the shadows he needed...
Against a creature like the Black Sea Drake, the Blood Tabi was simply too weak to make any difference. The Dark Noble Mantle had actually secured Mo Fan the upper hand in the fight. It was worth the strenuous effort that Mo Fan had put in just to claim it!
The Black Sea Drake twisted its body. It was clenching its teeth against the pain from the burning wound on its back. It had the urge to tear the detestable human into pieces. Most frustratingly, it was still having trouble finding where he was!
Where was he hiding?
The Black Sea Drake scanned the area, but even with its outstanding senses, it was unable to locate the human with the Shadow Element.
"Nine Halls!"
Suddenly, nine stunning fiery pillars rose under the Black Sea Drake. Five of them struck the Black Sea Drake's fleshy rump!
The Nine Pillars constructed with the Calamity Fire were far stronger than before. The flames rising into the sky were like the eruption of nine volcanoes, scorching lava splattering across the place. The Black Sea Drake was jumping up as the heat was just too unbearable!
The Black Sea Drake finally realized how tough the two humans were. It was unable to attack by controlling the water on the surface.
It glanced at the water and discovered that the electricity unleashed by the simple-minded Lightning Explosion Cuttlefish had started to weaken. It immediately stayed away from Mo Fan's flames and dove into the ocean!
BANG!
To its surprise, the Black Sea Drake ended up smashing its head on a layer of sturdy ice when it tried to dive into the water. Despite the impact, it had failed to break the ice, showing how strong the ice was!
While the Black Sea Drake was fully focused on Mo Fan, Mu Ningxue's Domain had already spread more than a kilometer into the distance, turning the area beyond the reef into ice. The ice was at least thirty meters thick, no longer just a thin layer on the surface. The Black Sea Drake was seething with anger after realizing it had been tricked by the human!
"Subdue it!" Lingling said to Mu Ningxue.
Mu Ningxue had long awaited this moment. Her eyes were doors to an icy white world that was deeply asleep. As they flickered sharply, an enormous Icebound Coffin descended from the sky and landed heavily before the Black Sea Drake.
The Icebound Coffin immediately gave the Black Sea Drake a fright. Luckily, the enormous thing did not land right on it. Otherwise, it would have had trouble resisting it!
However, before the Black Sea Drake could feel relieved, an icy glow suddenly appeared above it as another spectacular Icebound Coffin landed behind it!
The third Icebound Coffin came down and sealed off the Black Sea Drake's left!
The Black Sea Drake finally realized that something was not right. When it was about to head for its remaining path of escape, the last Icebound Coffin plunged down onto the ice and trapped the creature!
The Black Sea Drake raised its head and saw the biggest Icebound Coffin above it. It slammed down heavily before the creature was able to jump into the sky. It was the final piece of the puzzle for the formation consisting of five Icebound Coffins!
"Five...five Icebound Coffins..."
Bobby almost dropped his jaw to the ground. He had met some extremely talented Ice Mages from the Hunter Alliance, yet he had never seen anyone Summon five Icebound Coffins at once. Wasn't this woman a bit too terrifying?
Bobby immediately recalled how he was whistling at Mu Ningxue back in the alleyway. He glanced at the previously-imperious Black Sea Drake trapped by the Icebound Coffins and immediately drew a cross on his chest in cold sweat!
"The maggot is making its move," Lingling said.
"What?" Mo Fan asked confusedly.
"Take a look for yourself!"
Mo Fan glanced at the Black Sea Drake and saw a strange reaction from it. Its scales were falling off suddenly, as if they were gradually disappearing.
In addition to its scales, its flesh had started to rot out of nowhere, too. Countless white tiny little creatures were jumping up and down on the rotten flesh.
"What are those?" Mo Fan exclaimed in surprise.
"The larvae, the form before the Drowning Curse Maggot," Lingling said.
The Black Sea Drake could no longer move as its body was frozen in ice. It had no chance of breaking free from Mu Ningxue's Icebound Coffins in a short period of time.
Meanwhile, the white little larvae that were growing out of its flesh were devouring it continuously. It clearly did not look pleasant!

More larvae showed up like a whole nest of white ants. The Black Sea Drake soon lost its glittering scales and was naked, only its flesh remained.

Even though Mu Ningxue had managed to freeze the Black Sea Drake, it would still take them a long time to kill it. As a matter of fact, they could not tell if they actually had enough firepower to kill the creature.
And now, before the creature could even break free from Mu Ningxue's ice, half of its body had already been consumed by the eerie, white larvae that had grown out from its body!

The word scary was no longer enough to describe the sight, as who could possibly think that the insignificant, transparent maggot was able to eat the whole Drake down to a skeleton in just a short period of time!

 On the other side of the fortress, Zhao Feng and Xin Wuheng were using their own methods to observe this scene, and they both couldn't help but be shocked. Any insect in the insect sea army would be an ant before an Ancient God, exterminated in a single flick of the finger, but hundreds of millions of these Moth Larvae arranged in this strange formation could produce a terrifying power. This power might even be above a half-step God Lord.
 "Still able to forcefully advance in the face of Level Nine Time Intent…." Zhao Feng couldn't help but sigh in wonder. If it were him or Xin Wuheng, they would have been incapable of opposing the Time energy produced by this fragment.
 "What's the situation?" Ancient God Sundermount and Ancient God Resplendence had become somewhat impatient.

 Wherever this ring of Time energy passed, the world would fall silent as if all objects and beings had been frozen.
 "What!?"
 Zhao Feng and the three members of the Giant God Race also felt this wave of undefiable power. A few aftershocks from the battle had reached them.
 Suddenly, the four of them felt the blood in their bodies and even their thoughts freeze for a moment. The wind froze, as did their breathing and their hearts.

 One hundred feet… one thousand feet… ten thousand feet… one hundred thousand feet!
 Ten seconds later, a heaven-supporting hive had appeared in the middle of the black-gray fog. As this enormous hive took shape within the fading fog, it exuded a boundless ancient aura.
 When Zhao Feng and the Giant God Race members saw this hive, they all mentally trembled, and they inexplicably wanted to get down on their knees and worship it. It was as if this massive hive that seemed to hold up the heavens was the source of everything.
 "Mm?" Zhao Feng discovered that the Origin energy in his God's Spiritual Eye once more rippled as it sensed this energy.
 Hwoooo!
 A black wind emerged from the massive hive and began to sweep the nearly one hundred million insect corpses back into the hive. The insides of the hive then began to shift and wriggle.
 "Collecting for reuse?" Zhao Feng had a strange expression on his face.
 Xin Wuheng couldn't help but sigh. "As expected of the mythical 10th ranked ancient race. It's even capable of fighting back somewhat against the Time Laws."
 At this moment, the light around the fragment began to dim. Just now, in using the forbidden power of Time Stop for around ten seconds, it consumed an immense amount of energy.
 Zhao Feng's God's Spiritual Eye noticed that the Time energy guarding the fortress apparently also slightly dimmed.
 "Your plan is…?" Xin Wuheng suddenly seemed to understand.
 Zhao Feng was probably planning to use the Moth Larvae army to exhaust the fragment, which was the same as weakening the Time energy protecting the entirety of the ancient fortress. The Time Stop in particular was extremely taxing on the shard.

 These armored insects burrowed into the ground, dividing into ten-some groups that attacked the fortress from underground.
 "The mother insect has changed strategies."
 Xin Wuheng and Zhao Feng exchanged glances.
 The Locustmoth Mother apparently knew that the mysterious fragment was difficult to deal with, so it changed its target to the fortress. The ancient fortress was massive, offering many places to attack.
 "Crafty bug, your Moth Larvae Mother Hive is actually able to produce a new kind of insect that is resistant to Time energy?" The mysterious fragment finally showed some reaction.
 In the sky, those glowing insects, pulsing with Time energy, divided into several seas of light and began to attack the fortress. Meanwhile, the armored insects used their formidable defense and burrowing skills to attack from underground.
 They shared the same target of the ancient fortress. The mysterious fragment would expend even more power in order to maintain the defensive system of the ancient fortress.
 As for what followed, there was a long and exhausting battle. Above and below the ground, insects were constantly being turned into corpses, but that enormous hive would quickly produce more insects to provide an endless stream of reinforcements.
 Both sides snapped at each other, neither willing to admit defeat.
 Two days later:
 "It's about time. We can move out."
 Zhao Feng and Xin Wuheng glanced at each other and nodded.
 At this moment, more than half of the mysterious fragment's strength was taken up with restraining the Moth Larvae army. Now was the perfect time to make some profit.
 At the same time, several powerful energies appeared elsewhere near the ancient fortress.

 Several figures stood there, staring at the distant fortress and that enormous hive that loomed over it. This grandiose battle made all of them tremble in shock.

 "A Moth Larvae Mother Hive." Only Yu Heng remained indifferent and calm. "From the scale, the mother insect is at least peak Rank Nine."
 The three half-step God Lords and Yu Heng used their Divine Senses to observe. They all observed the mysterious fragment in the ball of light.

 "If we can obtain this Ancestral Artifact fragment containing Time energy, we can easily set aside the Ancient God Seal for the time being."

On the sixth floor of the dungeon, I changed the mode to inside affair mode and tried to change the landscape there.

The monsters' ecosystem was built up to the fifth floor, but the sixth floor had been empty until then.

However, to get what I wanted, I had to renovate the place and raise special monsters there.

But changing landscapes also cost points.

I spent 100,000 points to change a considerable amount of space on the sixth floor into a pool of lava.

Creeeaak!

The dungeon started to shake, and the sixth floor started to change its shape.

The floor cracked and from the crack, a 100-foot-tall volcano came out. When five volcanoes were placed on the sixth floor, lava started to come out of the craters.

Active lava was set on the designated surfaces.

It was good, but that wasn't all that I needed.

I put low-level monsters, Level-3 'Pyrok Larvae,' in the area.

Pyrok Larvae cost 1,200 points per every one monster.

Pyrok Larvae were 1.7 times more expensive compared to an Orc, yet it was just a tiny larva the size of a hand. I bought 40 of them with no hesitation in buying them.

'At least one of them has to become an adult.'

Pyroks stayed in the lava while they were larvae, but when they become adults, they could live outside of lava.

It was just a tiny red larva at first, but after three metamorphoses to grow into an adult body, they became a three-foot-long mid-level monster with a dragon tail and bat wings.

But even the shop that sold everything didn't sell adult Pyroks, because 99 percent of them died going through three metamorphoses to become adults.

They needed intensive care, which was why I called in Dark Elves and Dwarves.

'They're monsters that help support the origin of fire-related Mana.'

Adult Pyrok fed on stones containing Mana of Fire. They could instinctively feel the Mana and find volcanic rocks.

This was the reason that I decided to buy Pyrok Larvae.

Lyhee looked at me with confusion.

"Master. Pyrok Larvae are not easy monsters to farm. If they become adults, they will be some of the strongest among mid-level monsters, but I don't think it's reasonable to buy them, even though you already did."

"I know."

"Maybe you're just curious, because they don't sell adult Pyroks at the shop for everything? If so, I will draw you an adult Pyrok. I've only seen them once, but they were super cute."

Lyhee wasn't exactly the great artist though, and I didn't want to buy them just because I was curious.

I had a plan involving adult Pyroks.

That was another piece of information I knew from my former life.

There were four different kinds of altars hidden in the dungeon, and if I find the altar, I could receive a powerful high-level monster that was the altar's protector.

I was planning to use Pyroks to find the altar.

I hadn't tried to look for the altar until now because I hadn't had a use for it yet.

Finding the altar wouldn't give me an achievement, which I confirmed in my former life. And a high-level monster was only useful to massacre humans, so there was no benefit for me.

But now, the game had changed.

Now, I was officially at the top of the awakened heroes in Korea.

If I inspired the awakened heroes to stop the monster wave when Korea was severely damaged by it, I would be able to have massive influence in Korea.

I could do that even if I wasn't the official top among the heroes, but I needed to make a real impact, so I was waiting for the best timing and way to start the monster wave.

This country needed a real threat to happen in order to make people move.

It was probably because Korean politicians were using the dungeon for their political campaigns. I'd seen it more than enough in my former life.

'I need to create an environment to grow and train more awakened heroes, and… I need to become a symbolic figure. That will be helpful to raid dungeons of other devils.'

I was making my plans for the future.

If the awakened heroes sacrificed themselves to stop the monster wave, the surviving ones would have better social statuses, and the awakened heroes would train even harder to protect regular people and survive at the same time.

Krithli and the five followed my order.

The Dark Elves and Dwarves were two steps away, while Krithli was three away from me.

"In a week, we'll start the first monster wave. We will send out Orcs, Kobolds, and Knol, 50,000 monsters in total, so I want you guys to command the monsters to put people in a panic."

"Master. What do you mean by 'the first'?"

Julium asked me the right question at the right timing.

"The first the monster wave is to give humans awareness of monsters. Krithli won't go out this time. Only five of you will lead the wave. Even with modern weapons, humans didn't have the guts to fight against a fearless monster army.

The sound of monsters echoed in the dungeon.

A huge army of monsters lined up on the ground floor in perfect formation.

I raised my right hand and pointed to the front.

"Go out."

"Go out!"

Bam! Bam!

Five thousand monsters led by five commanders left the dungeon.



The Mirr squadron base camp near Bukhan-San was a base camp meant to stop monsters coming out from the dungeon.

It was at a hidden location from the citizens to observe the entrance of the dungeon, but over an entire year, there were no monsters that came out from the dungeon.

Hence, the soldiers were way too relaxed, and all they did were some compulsory daily patrols.

Commanders of the squadron usually played card games or some other entertainment they brought from the city, never really paying enough attention to the dungeon.

"A pair."

"Sorry, I've got a full house."

The table made for tactical meetings had became a poker table. Losers were just looking at the two playing the final round with empty pockets.

But the game was almost over.

The soldier who had a pair complained to the commander, "Commander, be generous. You can let me win sometimes. Huh! I wanted to order some fried chicken for my soldiers with this money."

The commander kicked his tongue and answered, "You dumb *ss, fried chicken for your soldiers? Everyone knows you call a hooker when you win the money."

But then, when the commander was collecting his money, someone opened the door abruptly.

The commander didn't look happy.

"I told you to knock—"

"C-commander! Th-there's a monster wave!"

The commander laughed at him. "What are you talking about?"

"He must have had a bad dream."

"He's a bit delusional."

All the soldiers were laughing at him.

Bang!

However, when another patrolman kicked the door to report, the mood suddenly changed.

"The m… the monster wave!"

"More than 4,000 monsters! Monsters are coming out of the dungeon!"

 The five of them went toward room 15. The hall leading up was covered with a mucus-like substance. A layer of the steel underneath was corroded. Fortunately, it seemed that its acidity lessens over time.




Xuan touched the secretion on the wall with a finger cautiously. “The acidity has been oxidized a lot. This is good, even if our bodies get covered in this secretion during combat, we won’t have to worry about it being lethal.”


Zheng stepped on it then frowned. “But it’s too slippery. If the floor is covered with this when we fight the Queen, I’m afraid it will be difficult to keep our balance.”

Xuan thought for a moment. “No, even if the battleground is covered with secretion, it is to our advantage. Then we won’t have to worry about the Queen’s blood corroding the spacecraft. Compare that to movement obstacles, I would rather have the battleground covered with this.”

Zheng smiled bitterly. He looked at Xuan. “To be honest, what are the chances of us surviving this movie?”

Xuan looked at him calmly. “I told you, 30%. This is considering that you will hit with the throw. If you miss your first throw, then two or three people will die within thirty seconds. Within this time frame you have another chance. If you miss again, then we will all die. Similarly, this is also our last chance. If we can’t get ahold of it, we will all die after three days. Out of all the decisions I have made in my life, this one has the lowest probability. It feels rather depressing to think of it.”

Zheng was silent for a while. He patted Xuan’s shoulders and said, “Even though I don’t know how to comfort you. And though you probably don’t need anyone to comfort you. But… live on, we can all live. No matter what, I won’t die here!”

“Though our chance of survival is really only 30%…” Xuan replied emotionlessly without taking a look at Zheng.

Suddenly, Zero’s voice came from afar. “There’s something!”

The two looked at each other, then Zheng said to Jie and Lan, “Follow me closely. Don’t fall behind or do anything else. Let’s go!” He took the lead and headed toward Zero.

Zero was standing by a corner ahead of them. He waited for the four to come over silently then pointed to the front. “Can’t get pass, it’s full of this secretion.”

Zheng looked forward and saw the hall behind Zero was blocked with a very thick layer of secretion. It looked like the inside of an organism.

He carefully sliced the secretion. By sense of touch, this layer wasn’t tough. Contrarily, he could easily slice through it and it’s only a few centimeters thick.

So Zheng easily cut through the layer but the area behind it gave him a fright. A thick layer of secretion covered everywhere, the wall, the ground, and the ceiling. If where they just came from still belonged to the spacecraft, then from this point on, it was the real Alien nest. It felt like walking on flesh, and the walls felt like a living organism.

Xuan suddenly said, “Zero, the lights are dim here. You have the best vision, take a look at the things on that side, are those Alien eggs?”

Zero focused his eyes and looked at it carefully. After quite a while he shook his head. “I can’t see clearly. The lights are covered with this disgusting secretion. It’s too dim here.”

Xuan nodded then turned to Zheng. “These Alien eggs won’t attack anything outside twenty meters. So we can safely approach it. Estimating by the distance we have passed, this should be around room 3. Moving onward is warehouse 1 and 2. The Queen is probably there.”

Zheng nodded then said to the people behind him. “You guys stay here. I will go take a look at whether or not those are eggs… Zero, if something appears behind me, please take care of it. I trust your aim.”

Zero nodded silently. Zheng walked inside the nest with a laugh. Stepping in, it felt soft, just like stepping on flesh. This feeling gave him goose bumps. Due to the lack of adequate lighting, he could only see things up to ten meters. It took him almost a minute to cautiously approach the egg-like things. When he reached ten meters of them, he finally recognized these oval shaped eggs.

“Yes, these are the Alien eggs!”

Zheng shouted without turning his head. He suddenly saw the eggs were slowly opening up. In this movies, this signified that the larvae were coming out. There were several dozens of eggs here, if all of them releases a larva, they would likely hide inside the layer of secretion and attack the people. Once someone became a host, he would become an Alien within several hours.

Without thinking, Zheng raised his semi-automatic rifle and started shooting at the eggs. They were easily shot into pieces. Their shells weren’t too tough, but even so, a few larvae came out. These larvae jumped at an incredible speed. They closed up on Zheng within a few jumps.

At the same time, gunshots came from behind. The larvae were shot into pieces midair. Zheng turned around and saw Zero holding a submachine gun.

Zheng smiled at him and Zero, who had been acting cold this whole time, smiled back. Xuan ran over calmly. He crouched beside the egg shells and studied carefully. He stood up after a while. “The Queen will enter a feeble state after laying eggs. The shells of these eggs are soft. They’re different from the toughness that I remember… I think the Queen laid her eggs not long ago.”

Zheng took a deep breath. “Since we are at this point already, we will have to do everything to kill that big thing… let’s go! Kill that last Alien and go back to God’s place alive!”
