"B-b-but host don't you need time t-to like think about anything or ask any questions. I am your guide please use me. Do you want to know what in your beginner kit. Anything?" the system rambled to Xiu Ying. 

"shut up 987,578,654,587,544,466,754,368,530. I said let's go so let's go." Xiu Ying said angrily and coldly because this red ball dear to question him and it did not even taste like a cookies.  This was normally how Xiu Ying behaves, he was an emotionless 19 year old that had experience more than he should. 

Living without parents from the age of 6 and actually seeing how they had died by the hands of his uncle and aunty while their sick sixteen years old twin son and daughter mocked and insulted him was enough for him to become emotionless. At least that was what people thought but in fact he was emotionless before that.
 Xiu Ying was not a simple child, even his parents knew that but instead of loving him they had isolated the poor child for not being able to feel pain.

 Everyone thought that it was an disease called congenital insensitivity to pain with anhidrosis, or CIPA but unfortunately it was a more rarer case where he just could not feel pain or temperature and he was also seemingly emotionless but a side from that there was nothing else wrong with him. There  was no other complications with the illness which led to his cousin calling him a mutant freak and sometimes even going as far as to beat him to see if he would get back to 'normal' as they say.

What was worst was that his parents allowed it and sometimes they even call some of the maids to help their nephews in beating their son all just for fun. To say the first time Xiu Ying cracked a smiled was at his parents funeral. The second time was at his uncle and aunty with their children funeral but that's a story for a next time would not want to scare you away already. Anyways enough about Xiu Ying .

"O-ok host you are being transferred in 1...2...3...4..." the system said now scared of his host and regretting his thoughts about how his host was being a wimp earlier.

While Xiu Ying felt the light fade from his sight for the second time as he was being transferred into different world.

Xiu Ying open his eyes to finally see some grass. It looks like he was in some one backyard. 
"Mister Bf system. Where am i and Give the world information and my mission and one last thing before I forget call me Xiu Ying. the name Host is getting on my nerves and I will still eat you even if you don't taste good if you don't." demanded Xiu Ying.

The ball that was now in the mind of Xiu Ying  uncomfortable and unconsciously took a step back, a couple step back actually before answering his hos... Xiu Ying.

"ho...Xiu Ying you are in your own backyard. This world is a world that is run by the Mafias. There are a lot of different mafias running the world but the main ones are the Russian, Chinese and Italian. The Russian being the first largest and Italian being the second largest mafia group under the Chinese which has the grandfather, the boss of all the mafia Li Wei. Noone has ever seen him until one day your sister that has always been jealous of you caught the attention of Li Wei. Li Wei that have never been interested in anything or anyone to suddenly find something that caught his attention he wanted to keep it for himself. Although he did not fall in love with your sister,  he kept her around as his play thing and your sister use that to her advantage and made Li Wei  kill you because she told Li Wei that you tried to touch her and because Li Wei does not like used good he killed you by lighting your eyes on fire and skinning you. yes very graphic." said the system.

"With that your mission is to live pass 35 year old.  500pts.

Don't get kill by Li Wei.   550pts.

Get revenge on your sister.   450pts.

Xiu Ying was curious because out of all the transmigration books he had read out of boredom he had never seen so much point being given at one time but heck he ain't complaining.

" Good now tell me what's in the beginner kit " replied Xiu Ying thinking that it's better to get these things out of the way so he can start the fun and possibly killing.

"Sure Xiu Ying" said the system excitedly after realizing that Xiu Ying was asking questions and that mean he was going to use him. Sure he was a system but Mr. BF system was excited for a host after all it was is very first host even if he thought that the host was a wimp that turned out to be a cold and emotionless red ball eating monster but he was still happy that his host was asking him questions nevertheless. But if he knew what Xiu Ying was thinking he would of vomit blood.

"In the beginner kit there is a beauty and purification pill combine together at the mastery level. This will get rid of all poison  and make you immune to all poison that exists and it will also bring you to the best that you can look in each world which is based on your soul attractiveness from your original world.

Martial Art skill at the mastery level. 

Hacking Skills at the advance level.

Seductive Art skills at the mastery level.

Educational skill at the mastery level. This is kind of a cheat skill because it helps to boost your brain coordination and function which will help you to learn skills faster by 10 times. For Examples, skills that would have been normally expensive you can buy it at the basic level which is the cheapest level and because your brain would be boosted it would automatically upgrade the basic level skills to a advance or mastery level depending on the skills activated. This means like for example with the hacking skill it can only can go to the advance level because only the GS can be at the mastery and no one else can hold that amount of hacking skills or there brain will fry and then burst but skills like for example cooking would be automatically upgraded to the mastery level."

Wow was all that Xiu Ying could think of when he heard about whats in the beginner kit. First the amount of points plus the beauty and purification pill and then the educational skill really catch his eyes. 

"Hey freak what are you doing sitting in the backyard?" shouted a squarky unfamiliar voice breaking Xiu Ying from out of his thoughts.
He turned around to see this pretty girl but average to him because he have seen better and his standard were pretty high.

"Who's that?" said Xiu Ying in his mind to  Mister BF

"Sir Xiu Ying that your sister Wan Fang." replied the system.

"Can I kill her." immediately replied Xiu Ying because this green tea bitch interrupted his thoughts. 
"yes you can sir but please be reminded that you are not a part of the mafia so you can get in trouble for killing somebody." replied the system even more scared of Xiu Ying than before.
Xiu Ying thought to his self  that he have gotten away with murder couple times already but he will keep that to his self.

"Do you have a cookie preferably chocolate chip?" was the only thing Xiu Ying said to Wang Fang not replying to her rude statement before.
"What! no I ask you a question you freak." said Wang Fang glared at her silver head brother while throwing a stone at his head to damage his face because usually her brother would be very afraid of her and he even dare to ask a stupid question about dumb cookies. If Xiu Ying heard that she called the cookie dumb let's just say she would not have a gut anyone well inside her anymore. 

Xiu Ying caught the stone right before it reached his head so fast that you hardly even saw when he had moved his hands. 

"So you don't have any cookie then you are useless and of no use to me then." said Xiu Ying throwing back the stone at Wang Fang head that pierced and went though her skull. She did not even have time to react because her body just fell to the ground lifeless.

"G-g-g-g-got revenge on your sister completed. Points now at 25,450." The system replied very shook and very afraid that he even tremble .

Anyways I will try to write a chapter everyday but the most days that will pass and don't write anything is three.

Xiu Ying is seem to be a average beauty that only he does not seem to know how beautiful he is with is jade like skin, pink lips that turns red from his nervous habits of biting and constant licking of his lip. His abnormal white blonde hair that does not match his heritage
and his sliver eyes

A seductive devil he is with his mischievous and smart attitude. Everything would have been fine if it was not for his very sudden death which had lead him to be transmigrated to different worlds. 

Fortunately for Xiu Ying who's role in every world is to change his fate of dying a miserable death caused by the male lead/main protagonist named Li Wei. He fall in love with Li Wei and unfortunately for the dangerous and deadly handsome male lead he had unintentionally met some that more dangerous than him.

Anne finally made up her mind and said," If it's of no problem to you,  I'll take up your offer. Thanks very much for your help."

Jake smiled and asked her to follow him. He looked about her and found that she had only a small bag and a sling purse with her. He offered to carry the bags and started walking. She stood up, straightened her clothes with one hand and balanced the baby in the other one and walked forward.  Both the men walked slowly to accommodate to her speed. 

They walked for about 5 minutes and from in between the trees, a white building with terracotta tile roof came into view. The side view didn't give her an idea about the expanse of the house, but the surroundings were very peaceful and pleasant. They walked into the house. The door was open since Aunt Heather was cleaning the verandah with a mop. She looked up and smiled at the two men. " Mr. Jake, Mr. Ronald",  she greeted them and looked past them to the young woman behind them. "And she is...?", she asked. 

She's our friend and she'll be sharing the room with you tonight.  Please prepare food for 3 of us and for the baby...", Jake paused. Anne answered, " he will have the baby formula. " Hello Miss Heather,  I'm Anne. Sorry for troubling you, but can you heat up some water for the formula? He'll wake up soon and he will drink it as soon as he does." 

"Call me Aunt Heather like those two boys. No need to be formal. Also please sit down for a while in the living room. I'll prepare extra sheets and pillows in the room.  You can rest there till dinner is ready. I'm just about finished cleaning all the rooms.  All it needs is the furniture to be arranged. Everything will be delivered early tomorrow morning." She gave a bright smile and went inside a passage. Ronald and Jake excused themselves and went outside since they'd more work to do.

Anne looked around the living room and found that it was plain with not much furniture or decorations. The walls were white like the outside with 4 wooden pillars supporting what looked like a huge skylight. It was still very bright since it was just over 5pm. She arranged the clothes around the baby and left him on the wide window seat which was made of stone and walked around to explore the house. Keeping one eye on the baby,  she walked around to find there were 3 rooms in the ground floor and a staircase that led to a closed door at the landing upstairs. She wanted to go up when she heard the light scuffling sounds of her son waking up. She ran to him and took him in her arms and kissed him with a smile on her face.  Aunt Heather came just at the moment to call her. 

" Miss Anne. Please come this way. The bed is prepared.  You can rest while I finish my work.  I've kept the kettle with hot water in it on the window sill. I've kept a jug with cold water in it and a bowl and a glass with a spoon.  If you need anything else, feel free to call me." Saying thus,  she went inside the passage towards the kitchen. 

Anne walked to the room with the baby and put him on the bed and looked around the room.  It had one sturdy wooden cot in one corner and a foldable steel cot with a mattress on it in the other.  It had two large windows which were left open for airing and it was very bright and cheerful inside the room. There was a small bedside table which had the things that Aunt Heather had kept.  Anne prepared the formula and fed it to the baby and wiped his face and body clean with a towel she took out from her bag. It contained mostly his things and clothes. She'd brought just one extra pair of clothes and a set of pajamas with her. Her big bag with her clothes and other things were left in the cloakroom of the railway station of the nearest town. She had planned to go back that evening, so she had left it there. She freshened herself up in the bathroom and felt refreshed.  

The baby was cooing and was moving his limbs as if he was cycling and it was very funny to watch. She stood near the cot as if to admire her son and her thoughts flew  to her past.

She could just remember her mother leaving her in the railway station and fleeing inside the moving train without even looking back at her. Anne was just a girl of four and a half years then. She couldn't understand what was happening and she had cried when she saw that her mother left her alone on the platform. There were some men who were chasing the train shouting something which she couldn't understand and they'd to stop since the train sped up. She was found by the kind station master who found her bawling near the stone seat which was meant for waiting passengers to sit on.  She couldn't answer him about her whereabouts and her parents. She only told him her name and she was asking him to find her mother who went away on the previous train. She said that her mother's name was Georgina and her father's name was William. She didn't know where her father was since she seldom saw him. Whenever he came home, he and  her mother would be quarrelling inside the room and she was afraid of her father because of it. She thought that he was a bad guy and that's why he always scolded her mom. She couldn't even remember his face or information much to the surprise of the station master.He had no other choice than to take her to the police station after his duty hours ended for the day. He was very kind to her. He shared his lunch with her and bought her a cup of warm milk to drink. She hadn't eaten anything since the last afternoon since her mother was more interested in moving out from their house than to feed her child. Anne had gratefully eaten and drank whatever the station master had provided her with. He took her to the police station at around 6pm and left her with a lady constable who looked very strict on first sight. As she stayed there the whole night with her, she knew that only in appearance was the constable very rough and strict, but was very kind to her.  She said that her name was  Mary and she had a daughter of 2 years at home. The next day, the police made thorough investigation into the matter and found that her mother had borrowed lots of money from loan sharks based on the fact that her husband was in the military and he was up for a promotion soon. She'll return their money as soon as he comes back home the next time. She had married him in the hope of rolling in money since she hated her poor life since childhood. She pursued him, married him and had Anne with him. The times Anne's father could come home was few and far because he was frequently sent on secret missions and he couldn't bond with his daughter much, though he loved her dearly.  Whenever he came home, he'd bring her toys, sweets and other things for her, but since Anne's mother would start a quarrel about money or material things with him, he would leave soon and didn't have enough time to spend with his daughter. He regretted it very much in his life till his last breath.  The police couldn't find her father's whereabouts since they didn't know his last name and they weren't sure whether the name given was his real name. Many military officers had an alias in real life since they faced constant threat of recognition from spies and enemies.  The police had no option but to keep her either in the remand home or in an orphanage.  They waited till the next day to admit her to one of the 4 orphanages in the vicinity. It was called 'HOPE orphanage'. 

Her mother always used to care about herself and she never provided her child with the love and care it needed. Anne had come to accept the fact that she was not loved by anyone and she had become complacent to joys and sorrow. She was almost emotionally numb. In Hope orphanage,  there were many children of various ages and soon she found out that each had a sorrowful story behind their coming to this place.   Anne was very quiet as a child. She could just be seen, not heard, unlike other children.  She never fought for clothes and toys. She never was the first to be chosen by parents who wanted to adopt. She was very intelligent, and understood things, rather than mugging up and write it as it is. She used the orphanage library as well as the local public library near the orphanage to read books and she improved her vocabulary and knowledge in many languages and subjects. The only drawback she had was the ability to reproduce the words from her textbooks and that's the reason why she always scored less in terms of marks and was deemed as an average student. She never shone amongst her peers. Her intellect and resourcefulness were lost in her silence and the shyness to communicate with people. The best education she could get was a tutor who taught all of them according to their ages, inside the orphanage. The orphanage couldn't afford to send everyone to schools. Though public schools were almost free, the uniforms and books were yet to be paid for.  Taking the number of children to be sent to school into consideration, the management had arranged for a tutor to teach very young students of about 3-4 years of age and ages 10 and above. The in between age group were taught by elder children who were certified as the brighter ones amongst them. Children above 16 were sent out to do odd jobs for small companies so that they could earn their educational fees. Anne had managed 3-4 jobs to save as much of money as she could for her education. She completed her high school and wished to attend college.  She had an interest in reading books and hence she had an ambition to become a librarian or a teacher, since both the jobs would give her unlimited access to books. The orphan had a rule that children who attained the age of 18 must leave the orphanage and look after their own lives in order to make room for new children. Anne had worked in many places and knew many things. She could do any job well, but she didn't have the educational qualification and certificates companies asked for. She was a Jack of all trades. Nobody could guess that such a talent existed in such a quiet girl. Comsidering the time she was brought to the orphanage and the date of birth she had told them while joining,  they had recorded it as May 18th. Come next month, she'd turn 18. Where would she go? She didn't want to leave this place which was the closest she could associate for a home. She had requested the warden so many times to let her  continue staying there. She would pay them for the food and accommodation, she would take up more jobs to fulfill it, but let them please not send her out of here. The warden had a tough time deciding whether to let her live here or not.  She spoke to the management and summoned Anne to her office one day. She said, " Anne I've spoken to the management about your request to continue your stay here. They've suggested something and if you consider it, you can stay here. Otherwise,  you should be prepared to move out on your own by the end of next month."

With a voice full of anxiety,  Anne asked," What is the suggestion?"

Warden said with a deep sigh, " You can stay here for one more year. In the meantime,  if the orphanage could set up a marriage for you, you must marry the man who is chosen. You'll be benefiting from the marriage,

Anne, a girl brought up in an orphanage got married to a man who was chosen by her matron.  He lived with her for a night after their marriage and disappeared. One drunken night and Anne became pregnant soon. He had transferred her, the small house they lived and sent her some allowance every month to her bank account.  After a few months, the allowance stopped getting credited to her account and she was in the peak of her pregnancy. She became malnourished and got very weak due to various reasons. Though it was a marriage of convenience for both of them, she wanted to search for him once and tell him about her pregnancy.She delivered a healthy boy amidst all her difficulties. They didn't love each other, but they had a baby? He must love his own flesh and blood, right? With this in mind, she searched for clues about his identity and location and came searching to Sterling city special forces base, which was located in the outermost part of the city.  She met two men who would become her best friends for life and she continues with her journey of searching for her husband. 


Daniel was looking through the window when the young woman with a small bundle in her hands arguing with the security personnel at the base gate. He stared at her for a long time,  sighed and turned away. Just 3 more months of difficulty my wife, I'll be the husband I could not be, all these months and a father to our son. Just bear with it for 3 months and I'll erase all the unhappiness from your life. Till then, you need to live on without me.

Let's see how these 2 people find each other and find love together.

Adam proudly showed off his car and Abby felt her heart burst. Too cute! How was she supposed to handle a cuteness attack of this level?
Katie mock whispered, "He shows it to everyone he likes."
It was official. She melted into a puddle of sentimental goo. Her nephew liked her right off the bat! He was very trusting considering his mother barely told him they were family, which proved he was a happy and well-adjusted kid.
What kind of childhood did he have living out here in the middle of nowhere? Katie had obviously commissioned that toy for him but what about his other toys? Were there any picture books? What sorts of things did little kids even do in this world in the absence of a playground?
"Who made it for you?" Abby asked, gesturing to the car.
Katie was a bit embarrassed. "Ah, I got one of the carpenters who moved here from Rowenhilde to do it. He made a few others toys like this for him and other kids started wanting them too so now there are wooden cars all over town. We even started selling them in bulk to the merchants who pass through here after one of them bought one on a whim for his grandson."
Wow. Such a small thing ended up widespread because she wanted something familiar for her son to play with. Abby couldn't help but wonder exactly how much influence her sister had managed to have on this world by accident.
She was very curious about Katie's life here and wanted to know more. Seeming to sense this, Katie excused them (Al and Blaise were still deep in discussion) and showed her around the house.
In addition to a modern bathroom, there was also a fairly modern kitchen. There wasn't a microwave or a proper fridge but Katie explained that there was an ice box of sorts in the cellar outside for keeping things cold.
Adam had a few more familiar toys as well. His wooden car wasn't the only vehicle he had. There was also a wagon pulled by a wooden horse and a rudimentary truck. He had a teddy bear too; stuffed animals did exist here though bears weren't the most popular. Most children had stuffed rabbits for some reason.
There were also wooden blocks to build towers and bridges with. Everything else appeared to be carvings of various animals found in the mountains, such as deer.
"You guys use a lot of wood, don't you?" Abby asked dryly.
Katie shrugged. "We're surrounded by trees; lumber is one of our best resources. Wait until you see the wooden playground I convinced someone to build! All the kids in town love it."
She was fairly certain she knew what kind of playground her sister was talking about. When they were younger, they visited a historical park where the playground was almost entirely made of wood and shaped a bit like a castle. They used rubber and plastic a little bit for slides and rope courses but that was it.
Her sister wasn't the most creative person in the world by any means but she was full of a lot of random knowledge. Getting other more talented people to act on that knowledge had yielded quite the results and she had hardly seen anything yet.
"What other things have you convinced people to make for you?" Abby asked in awe.
It was a lot more than expected. Katie told her how this started when she was still back in the palace because she wanted sweaters and fuzzy pajama pants to get through the winter. While she was still there, she also commissioned a hat loom to be made so she could crochet.
Abby already knew that because of the novel, as well as the attempts at pizza and hamburgers. What she didn't know was everything that happened after coming to the Kanta region.
Since coming here Katie had worked together with a variety of people to create street lamps, light bulbs, a hydroelectric generator, children's toys, swing sets, different types of handy kitchen utensils such as oven mitts, and more. She even managed to improve on the makeshift snow clothes she had made back in the palace.
She also created the concept of a public library and recruited a few talented minds to help her create fun little picture books for children. The children's books that existed here were almost entirely of the educational variety, aside from a few traditional stories that were meant for older children to read on their own.
When she realized she was pregnant not long after moving here, Katie refused to let her child live in a world without age-appropriate fiction. She found a few people who were good at drawing to turn traditional oral children's stories into book form.
Under her guidance—apparently she had read a ton of Wikipedia articles about the history of crayons, colored pencils, and markers out of boredom while laid up in bed several years ago—a few innovators had managed to recreate those as well.
The first books made solely for the Kanta were painted or colored in with markers or crayons. but once they began mass producing them and had to use a printing press they were all too bulky. Once the traders found out about these books and wanted some for their own children, the business grew. 
There was now a full printing press/publishing office set up in town. They used engraving plates to mass produce illustrations and had to use colored pencils to color everything in by hand because they were the thinnest tool available. 
Katie confided that the Kanta became much more involved with the outside world largely because they needed to trade for materials to help recreate things from home but that it had ended up benefiting everyone involved. Unbelievable. An entire economy set up because of the desire for some kids' books.
Abby was astounded by how much she had accomplished in such a short time. A mind like hers had been wasted back in their world.
She majored in political science because it was one of the shorter programs and her health made taking on more than twelve credits per semester difficult. She had no idea what she wanted to actually do with her life and ended up taking the first part-time job she could find post-graduation.
A benefit of working in a school is that you have a lot of time off. Three day weekends, spring break, Christmas break, summers… Katie admitted that she went with that job in no small part because of all the time off for doctors' appointments, physical therapy, and plain old recovering from exhaustion.
Her time was entirely consumed by going to work, going to the doctor, and consuming as much media as possible. Because she was a curious soul, instead of wasting all of her time on Netflix like some people she primarily focused on nonfiction.
Her memory for details was incredible. There was no way Abby would have been able to remember enough about random things like crayons and markers enough to actually make one later.

Katie Pullman, a chronically ill girl who spends her life immersed in fiction, suddenly finds herself inside a novel she has read. Thrown right into the thick of things, she desperately tries to keep the plot intact but happy endings aren't always as they seem...

The following morning.

Casmir sleepily opened his eyes to an intense white light, his eyes gradually refocused allowing him to discern the origin of this light. The morning sun was shining ever so brightly today and as it shined onto his the painted white walls of his room, the subsequent scattering of light illuminated his room in an intense brightness.

Casmir wanted to roll over, cover his eyes and re-enter his slumber, but he soon realised that would be a poor decision.

Laying peacefully on-top of him, her face softly pressing on his shoulder, her eyes shaded by her hair was Rose. 

Casmir immediately realised that he couldn't move, or risk disturbing this fierce beast. For the moment he could only acquiesce to this sleeping lioness and pass the time in quiet thought.

He took full advantage of Rose's warmth by gently wrapping his arms around the soft delicate parts of her body, silently revelling in his spoils.

A short time later Rose's hand twitched, then she let out a soft grumble as her eyes fluttered open.

Her face was lying against Casmir's shoulder looking out away from him but in her sluggish state, she didn't realise his position underneath her. 

Rose slowly stretched out her hand trying to find Casmir, only for her hand to recoil in discomfort as she felt a cold sensation from touching the empty bedsheet.

However before the chilling sensation in Rose's hand could traverse her body, a warm hand grasped hers enveloping it and bringing it into the warmth of Casmir's chest.

"Good morning Ava..." Casmir softly said to her in greeting.

Rose looked up to him for a moment with languid, watery eyes before she shyly buried her face into Casmir's chest trying to melt into his warmth.

"Hey! Hey!.. Careful there you cheeky girl.." Casmir quietly cried out as Rose brushed against his sensitive area.

Having covered her head with the duvet in an attempt to hide from Casmir, Rose teased him.

"Cheeky girl? Whatever do you mean Casmir.. I thought you enjoyed it when I played with your little brother here..?" She said rather mischievously.

Casmir shook his head, then he reached into the bedcovers grasping two large mounds before suddenly, yet gently, squeezing Rose's sensitive nipples.

Rose let out a short yet pleasant sounding squeal as she felt this sharp sensation. 

Her squeal seemed to sound off a march to battle as the couple began round after round of 'attacks' against one another, repeatedly changing positions and producing sounds of 'battle'. However a spectator would only describe the sound of this 'battle' as 'youthful' and 'energetic'.

The battle lasted for over an hour before the satisfied couple finally separated to rest.

Thankfully after their rest Rose and Casmir simply chose to talk, their lust having been fully satiated.

They both had something they wanted to speak to the other about, but Casmir brought up his desire for Rose to cultivate first.

He wanted her to become stronger, to live a better life and to experience things she never could without cultivation. However more importantly and perhaps selfishly, Casmir wanted Rose to be able to protect herself and live a longer life.

One benefit to cultivation beyond the obvious was longevity, depending on the cultivators race/cultivation system, a cultivators lifespans would be increased based on their cultivation level.
 
Qi Grade's 1 and 2, offered no such benefits to humans, but Qi Grade 3-6 increased a human's lifespan by 50 years while Qi Grade's above 6 increased one's lifespan by at least 100 years each.

While the desire for increased longevity was little to the current Rose and Casmir, Casmir had recently been thinking heavily about his future and he didn't neglect the importance of such a benefit.

Rose listened to Casmir's explanation attentively but there was still an almost reluctant expression on her face.

"Rose.. what's wrong?" Casmir asked as he saw her expression.

Rose hesitated for a second concerned about Casmir's reaction, but she eventually reassured herself that Casmir wouldn't hold anything against her.

"Casmir... do you know how expensive it is to become a cultivator?" She asked him.

Casmir was confused "Expensive..? Well I know that cultivation resource's can be expensive.."

Rose smiled as if she had expected Casmir's response before she interrupted him.

"It's not just that.. you've probably never realised this because your cultivation comes from the educational establishments, where basic resources are provided by the government or various organisations... but everything about cultivation is shockingly expensive." Rose explained.

"When I was younger and I heard about cultivation, I was amazed and intrigued. Who wouldn't want the strength to fight 10 men or create fantastic scenes with a wave or their hands, unfortunately it's not that simple."

"Think about it, just activating your Qi energy requires a high Grade Qi resource that's valuable even in a nation's eyes. After that it takes months of cultivation for hours each day just to reach the boundary of Qi Grade 2, to cross it you need to consume an expensive Qi Catalyst and that's just the beginning of cultivation."

"To someone in my position.. that was just a fairy tale.." Rose said looking quite dispirited.

Casmir understood the point that Rose was trying to make but being someone from a well off family, he still didn't understand how expensive it would be.

"Do you know how much it is..? To activate your Qi energy?" He asked.

Rose sighed with an awkward chuckle, "About 10,000 gold.. for a Grade 6 resource anyway. The Grade of resource you used at the academy was likely higher, leading to a higher chance of activation."

Casmir was shocked.

"10,000?!... but it's not like it gets used up.. all your doing is standing next to it!" Casmir said as if this was unjust.

Rose agreed with Casmir but she also pointed out the reasoning for it.

"It's a law. The governments can't allow the population of cultivators to grow too much otherwise the demand for cultivation resources would sky rocket, fuelling greed and hoarding amongst powerful organisations eventually leading to disorder."

"I can't say that I like this law, but without it, the history books give a grim picture of the events that would follow." Rose explained.

She recommended Casmir read a few books about historical nations that tried to overturn this law, they eventually always collapsed or chose to reform the law.

Rose then went on to explain a few other reasons why she hadn't become a cultivator, one which stood out most to Casmir was 'Why did I need to become a cultivator?'.

Indeed, to the average citizen cultivation was a luxury and not an essential part of their lives. Cultivators might control the power in the country but they still gave citizens the right to vote for their representatives, the right to free speech and many other fundamental rights.

Although cultivators that looked down on people existed, most of the cultivators came from the general population through the educational system. Children with good education could attend universities and gain the chance to cultivate just like Casmir, or families could save up money to give their children a chance to activate their Qi energy.

It wasn't like ordinary people didn't have a choice, it was just better for them to live a more ordinary life and enjoy themselves in their own way.

Casmir felt quite dejected as he heard her explanations, he didn't realise how much he had been squandering his opportunities.

He swore to himself not to waste his cultivation, to put it to use for those people who would never realistically have a chance to cultivate.

However after hearing Rose's explanation, Casmir was also worried that Rose didn't want to cultivate at all, even given the chance.

"Rose I.. I understand that you might not want to cultivate but I can help you, 10,000 gold is a lot, but my family can afford it." Casmir sincerely suggested.

Rose turned her head away, unwilling to look at Casmir as if she had let him down.

"Casmir.. It's not that I don't want to cultivate but I can't just take advantage of you like this.. I have some money saved up that !..." Rose tried to say with a lowered head.

"No, no, no.. That money's for the baby. I'll pay for everything trust me..." Casmir interrupted her, he wouldn't let her use up the money she had saved for their child for something he wanted.

Rose reluctantly looked into Casmir's eyes, she saw that he was unwilling to back down and she also realised that this wasn't a bad thing for her.

Rose's thoughts span around in circles before she realised something, she was isolating herself just like she had done before. She knew that Casmir was trustworthy, that was evident from how much attention and thought he had given her, he didn't try to throw money at her or restrict her but he treated her like a wife and gave her opportunities she perhaps didn't deserve.

Yet now, as he asked her to trust her, she was still reluctant.

Rose realised that if she wanted to trust someone, Casmir was someone worthy of that trust.

A small smile appeared on her face as she suddenly completely relaxed, she looked up at Casmir and said.

"Ok.. but on one condition.."

Casmir nodded happily saying "Anything!"

Rose placed both her hands on Casmir's cheeks as she spoke sincerely with a slightly nervous voice.

"L-Let's get married.."

Hello, I’m InvisibleDolphin.

My novel isn't special, it has potential but that has yet to be seen.

I want to hold my characters up to realistic standards, this doesn't mean that everyone is going to be cold and calculative, nor does it mean they will be overly kind.

It means that if my MC see's a beautiful woman, he will admit that she's beautiful but he's not going to chase after her like a dog.

It means that even though the MC might love a few girls, they might not be happy with sharing him.

I intend to have darker moments in this novel but my first couple volume's will be a time of innocence, it introduces people as they are even if they are naive, and as time passes they evolve.

Innocence comes from youth, experience grows character and lets you see the truth.

I hope you can see them evolve and become the best version of themselves that they can be, maybe you'll learn something from them too, who knows.

After leaving Gringotts, Marry took Jonathan to his main goal: Flourish and Blotts.

The bookshelves inside the bookstore had reached the ceilings and contained books of all kinds. There were books that looked as if the covers were made of stone, books the size of a postage stamp, and some books that had strange runic symbols written on the inside that were absolutely unreadable to read.

Under Marry's direction, Jonathan began to choose several books in the store.

He would first need the first year books from the Hogwarts curriculum. (As for why only the first year books, he did not want to leave Marry suspicious). The first two supplementary books he would need were Hogwarts, A History and One Thousand Magical Herbs and Fungi. These books were more than enough to explain the whole world of wizards and establish their first base of information. Raising his knowledge would come easily, since he had an eidetic memory and the ability to learn at an extremely fast pace, so he was not afraid to pick up too many books at the same time.

After buying a pile of books, Jonathan started looking for the store once more, in case he forgot anything.

As expected, Flourish and Blotts was a bookstore selling books for junior magicians. Other books that had recipes on how to make polyjuice potions, like Most's potent potions, were not naturally sold here.

Thinking carefully for a while, Jonathan went over to the counter to ask for some books on Legilimencia's owner before leaving.

Then Jonathan went to the Florean Fortescue Ice Cream Parlor and bought three boxes of ice cream. Giving one the little girl Julie and the other two were one for themselves and for Marry, the two sat down to rest and enjoy the ice cream.

Seeing Jonathan delivering the sovete to Julie, Marry can not help laughing provocatively. "I think you get a boyfriend Julie Hahaha.

Although Jonathan did not take Marry's remark very seriously, one can not say the same thing about Julie as she blushed shyly as she looked at Jonathan.
   
Maybe Jonathan was pleased by the little girl's reaction, or maybe it was because she was tired because of her childish lifestyle that obscured her habits, but he devoured the ice cream with a satisfied look. He had been so adorable that Marry could not help but laugh out loud.

"Slow down, slow down! I will not steal it from you. "

"I know, Aunt Marry is the best!"

"You're a sweet mouth you have. Did you take your parents' money to come here?

"How could I ?! I want to become an Auror, so how dare I steal it?

Because of Jonathan's "cute" actions, Marry and Julie could not stop bursting into laughter that could be heard echoing from afar.

Because of Jonathan's age and how pure (astute) and adorable (false) he was, Marry had no reason to doubt him. In her eyes, Jonathan was just a child who liked to run away and learn magic (Poor thing does not even know she was deceived). Jonathan was then informed that Marry was a pharmacist who worked at the nearby pharmacy in Hogsmeade. She had taken a few days off to go for a walk with her daughters and husband in London. But what Jonathan did not expect was that he was very familiar with her daughter. Her name was Hannah Abbott, an important character who would later become the wife of the important supporting character, Neville Longbottom. So saying their full names were Marry Abbott and Julie Abbott, so they are wrong mother and sister of Hannah Abbott. (Although in the real story was never talked about Hannah Abbott's relatives, I will write more to leave the story with more details like that being more interesting.) (So I hope)

What a curious coincidence!

After resting, Jonathan decided to buy some last-minute things, such as the incredibly important Floo Powder.

When buying fluo powder, you need to understand how Muggles entered the magical world. In the original works, there were five different ways. One of them, they could enter through the secret passage in the Cauldron Hole. Two, they could enter through Platform 9 ¾. Third, there was the fluoride powder, there was the phone booth that Harry Potter and Sirius Black used once. And finally, it can Aparatar, but we can leave of course the last one because it does not have like a five year old Aparatar.

The secret passage in the Stuck Cauldron was obvious. One would need a magic wand to enter. Anyone who looked would know that the wand was necessary to start the magic by touching the correct sequence of bricks.

Platform 9 ¾ at Kings Cross Station. Okay, Jonathan remembered that Dobby once sealed the entrance, which meant that it was possible to close it. If Jonathan's guess was right, the entrance was only open when Hogwarts was starting or it was the holidays, no one would want a bundle to pass unintentionally to the other side while they are leaning on his train. After all, there are many people at the station, and the chance of a Muggle to discover the entrance by accident was quite high.

As for the phone booth Harry and Sirius wore, only the devil knew which one it was. With so many phone booths in London, Jonathan was not willing to look through each of them.

So the only remaining method was the fluoride powder.

Floo Powder was a powder that shone and a wizard could throw it in a fireplace to travel. (Only fireplaces connected through the Floo Network could use it). When using it, the user should stay inside the fireplace and hold a handful of fluoride powder, then speak clearly the name of the desired destination before throwing the powder. The user can be facing the fireplace first (no matter if there is a flame or not), throw the combustion dust and enter. Then they would land in the desired place.

But while Jonathan's fireplace at home was not connected to the Flu Network, he could make use of what was in the Cauldron Hole. It was equally convenient, and the Floo Powder was always at a convenient price of two scythes.

After promising to keep in touch with Marry and Julie, Jonathan returned home.

Opening the door to his house, he had come to a startling view. His parents were already home and it looked like they were waiting for him.

"Come into the living room! I think it's time we talked. "Jonathan's mother, Anna Brandon said.

Following his mother into the living room, Jonathan realized that his father, George Edward Brandon, was already waiting for him.

The three of them sat in the living room while George poured himself a cup of black tea. Delivering his wife a cup, Jorge began to look at his son without saying a word.

After a while, Anna could not take it any longer and gave Jorge a little push. Clearing his throat, Jorge began to speak: "Son, you are very intelligent, talented and very studious. You have wisdom that is far beyond your peers, but your mother and I know you have some secrets. OK! Would you like to share them?

Needless to say, the parents of the Western educational system cared about the independence of their children. In particular, Jonathan's remarkable show of playing the stock market made it very difficult for any parent to see Jonathan as a small child.

However, Jonathan was still a bit confused.

His coming and going with other people was something that was not easy to hide. And to have a talent for magic was not necessary to say. At age 11, the Hogwarts admission letter will let your parents know. Besides, if he had the support of his parents, then his plans to build his strength and deal with Lord Voldemort would be much easier. The only problem was that his parents would accept the fact that his son was a wizard?

Humans always feared what they did not know. An example of this was Dumbledore's younger sister, Ariana. In her childhood, she accidentally cast magic in front of three Muggles. In the end, the three Muggles were afraid and attacked. As a result, she lost control of her magic, destroying her body and driving her crazy. The after effects were another long story. But to sum it up, those three Muggle boys were the cause of the Dumbledore family tragedy.

Just thinking about that event, Jonathan felt fear. But Jorge and Anna had truly and sincerely cared for and loved him. Hesitating for a moment, Jonathan decided to clean himself.

In the end, my heart was very soft. Jonathan thought. Maybe yes Maybe not, although telling them the truth is much easier to manage their plan.

This was the last week of June, it was time for the end of the first school semester.
This meant Exams.
The students were already used to their notebooks and pens. It was way better and cleaner than using slateboards and chalk.
Landon had given all the children below ages 15: 4 empty notebooks, 3 eraser pencils and 7 pens (2 blue, 2 black, 2 red and 1 green).
If they needed more, their parents were to buy it for them. And those who were orphans, could take them free of charge from the school canteen.
The adults who took classes were required to buy their own textbooks as well. Afterall, they all worked and the books and pens were cheap.
9 pens cost 5 copper coins, 9 pencils cost 5 copper, while 1 book cost 3 copper coins.
The teachers still used chalk of course.
With these books, the students could go home and revise their lessons.
For those that came to school in the middle of the semester, they would only be given tests on what they know so far.
But within the 1 month break, it was compulsory for them to take make up classes, so as to catch up with the rest for the next semester.
Those that couldn't catch up would repeat their classes on the next semester. While those that passed would move on ahead to the next phase.
All they had been learning so far were language and math. Now, it was time to introduce them into the world of Chemistry.
Of course it wasnt intense chemistry, just the basics.
With the basics, they could go about and have assignments like science projects and so on.
Those that passed and did well, would advance and take Math 3, Language 2 and Chemistry 1.
Today, the little princess Linda, from Yodan empire was taking the final exam for the semester.
Back at Yodan, 9 year old Linda was ignored and bullied most of the time.
Since she wasn't a favoured princess, the maids, servants and even her teachers looked down on her. The only people who cared for her, were her mother Winnie and brother Beri.
She would cry daily and sometimes even feel like she was trapped, with no where to go.
But ever since she came to Baymard, the people were nice and she could finally go to school with other children who were very humble.
And for some reason, the food tasted better here as well.
Landon would come to her school and read amazing stories to her and the other children. She even played on the metal swing and something called a slide.
The little princess was very happy.
She loved everyone, even the funny grandpa Willow. He would always put flowers on her hair and push her on the garden swing (yet, he gave trouble to Landon for plucking Tulips).

Linda sat in the large classroom nervously.
Although she had math teachers and language teachers back in Yodan, she had realized that Baymard's educational system was different.
It was way better and more detailed. Plus she loved her rainbow painted exercise books, pencils and pens, which were much better and simpler to use.
For the tests, she liked that they were evenly spaced throughout the week, giving her more time to read at home.
The moment of truth had come.
The teacher placed a sheet of paper face-down in front of her.
Today, she was taking her first exam... Math 1.
Once all the papers were shared, Grace signaled for them to start.
Somewhere in another classroom, Linda's mother Winnie, Kim and Lucy, were also giving out the same exam.
Today was meant for math 1. So even if they weren't teaching it, they had to help supervise the exams as well.
All tests had different sections within them. Some of the sections in Math 1 and math 2 were similar to one another, but not actually the same.
Math 1 had 7 seven sections:
•15%: Additions
•15%: Subtractions
•15%: Playing with operations (using + or -)
•10%: Number writing
•15%: Word problems (using only + or -)
•15%: Measuring Length (using only + or -)
•15%: Measuring Time(using only + or -)
Linda looked through the section titled 'Addition' and began.
First question: 145 + 74 =? (show rough work)
She immediately started using her fingers and even showed the carry over process on the paper.
The more she answered, the more confident she became.
Time went on and she arrived at the 'Playing with operations (using only + or -)' part.
>Question: Achieve the result 20, by using the numbers: 2, 6 and 4, as many times as you like.
He looked at the question and her eyes lit up.
'6 plus 4 is 10, 10 plus 4 is 15....no no no!! its 14..' she thought.
Just like that, she completed that section.
Now, it was time for 'word problems'.
Question: There are 67 bird families living near the mountain. If 32 bird families flew away for winter, how many are left near the mountain?
She immediately started writing the main points, as she was taught in class.
'67 bird families.... flew away..... 32 bird families..... ahhh!! this is a subtraction.. this is taking away' she exclaimed inwardly as she immediately did the subtractions.
When she was at the last section, Grace kindly reminded them to drop their pens, pencils and papers.
She was currently in the last section and had 3 questions left to answer. She couldn't help but curse the 6th section for slowing her down.
All in all, she felt like she was going to do very well in the exam.
After the exam, she discussed her answer with some of her friends.
"Did you guys succeed in finishing the exam?"
"Ahh!!! I only had 1 question left, and then they took away for paper"
"Woo woo.... I'm not sure I did well"
"Don't cry, who can say that we will all pass?"
"Yeah plus there's still make up classes during the break."
"Don't forget that if you do well in Math 2 and Pyron 1, you will still advance."
"We have to study hard for the next tests"
"Ahh!!! Question 5 in section 4 was very confusing"
"It was definitely a trap"

And just like that, the Math 1 exam had officially come to an end.
Two days later, the exam for Math 2 began.
The Exam had 8 sections:

•14%: Measuring length (using only × or ÷)
•14%: Measuring Weight (using only × or ÷)

Under, the section titled: Multiplication tables, Linda moved like lighting.

And under the Multiplication section, Linda still felt it was easy.
Question: 727 × 4= ?
Moving forward, Linda realised that she had spend too much time with the Section 'number writing'.
Question: Write Nine thousand four hundred and sixty-one, in numbers.
'Thousand..thousand... Ahhh!!.. its 1000.. but since its 9, then its 9000...'
She also spent time doing the measuring length, weight and time sections.
Question: 2 m = ? cm
Question: 20 kg = ? g
Question: 9 hrs 45 min = ? min

.
Once again, she was unable to finish her exam on time.
Was it a curse for her to never to finish on time?
She quickly went home and started practicing her pre-tenses, present tenses and so on, for her Pyron exam.
All the people in Pyno spoke 1 language, so the language spoken in Yodan was the same as that in Arcadina.
Another 2 days passed and it was time for her final exam.
Pyron 1 was divided into sections:
•18%: Nouns, verbs, adjectives and pronouns
•18%: All Tenses: Present, past, simple.. etc
•9%:   Writing numbers into words
•15%: Prepositions
•20%: Choose correct/ Incorrect sentences
•20%: Choose complete/Incomplete sentences.
Linda kept seeing questions like;
Question: choose whether the following sentence is a simple or compound sentence.
Question: Which sentence shows the proper use of a noun?
Question: Write 109 in words.
Question: Which is not a complete sentence?
Question: Identify the adverb in the sentence
For her, language was easy compared to math. So for the first time ever, she had successfully finished all the questions for the exam. She even had 10 minutes to spare, so she decided to go over her work once more.
Once the exam papers were collected, she truly felt free as a bird. She had never had this type of feeling before.
She began discussing with her friend on what they would do with this 1 month vacation.
She had been told that the exams would be posted on the 12th day of July.
Also, the next semester was going to start in August.
 So for the entire month of July, she would hopefully have no school.
To be honest, she didn't want to spend the entire July doing makeup classes. That's why she earnestly prayed that her results would be atleast alright to take her to the next stage.
She had been so stressed during this exam period, that she didn't even care how her hair looked like when she left the house early this morning.
Her mom wanted to fix it, but she refused as she needed to use all her time for studying.
She looked at her mom as if saying: 'Mom, my holiday is at stake here and your worried about my hair?'
Right now, she didn't even want to see a single book, atleast until august.
'Finally, No more exams'

I wake up the next morning and I am hungry so I try to call my mother, but all I can do is cry. 
10 minutes later I am fed and happy and left on my own for now. 
My dad came by and said that he got to go to work. He is working as a hit wizard, which should be identical to a special agent. Mom is a Healer but she stays at home with my grandparents for now.

I try to meditate and it takes two minutes to get into my library. I want to have the ideal growth for my magic and body so I search for books that describe the best way and age to start working on my magic. God was generous and put a search function on my library, which means I just have to think about a subject area or a title or an author and a shelf with books to it appears. Very handy. 

First I search for books about magic for children at a young age. After reading for some days I found that most books say that children shouldn't be using magic before the age of three because my body and magic are still harmonizing here and it´s complete to 100% on my third birthday. Some children need more time some less but that is uncommon. When I read this I was a bit disappointed because I still couldn't practice magic for three years now.

So I did a little digging and reading in my library. After one and a half years I found an interesting idea, if I let my body flow with magic on my birthdays exactly at my birth time, this should help with magic without a magic wand and make me some Immun to magic, it should be forgotten because if not everybody would be doing this. Unfortunately, this is only possible five times and only on the third, seventh, eleventh, thirteenth and seventeenth birthdays, after that my body should conduct magic better, like some metals conduct electricity better than others. The protection from spells will unfortunately not become thick, because only weak spells can be fended off and/or resisted. So this will only be used to look cool. I am also looking into rituals but most of them are for my eleventh birthday and after. 

So my parents are miraculously still alive and working. Although they don't have to do so, as I could deduce from our environment, we have more than enough money, so they probably do for contact with other people and to build connections. I have decided to ask my parents about my time of birth, but this is difficult because I cannot talk perfectly yet. But since most toddlers with 2.5 to 3 can already halfway communicate their thoughts, I think that with my previous experience I will have this body a little further. I am also studying magic and how to use it because the first time I have to use it will be on my third birthday and I can´t use it before. 

The rest of my time I try to be a normal baby but that doesn´t prove to be difficult because I am curious about everything around me like every other toddler. Last week my parents went to Lyall Lupin and Hope Howells wedding, at first, I was surprised that my parents would go to their wedding but apparently, they were classmates. Nothing big happened the rest of the year except for the birth of Sirius on November third. 

Time flys by and more Characters from Harry Potter were born including Snape, Lilly, Lupin, and James. But that isn´t interesting to me for now. 

The last days before my 3rd birthday I was together with my gran Josi as I´ve come to call her, she gives me everything I want and I always have something to eat because being in the library takes a toll on my young body. I could weasel my birthtime out of my grandmother, I was born 8 pm, with that I was set. 
We take a walk through our villa. My grandparents live with us in this huge villa. We have 2 ley lines under our property, 2 less than under Hogwarts, but only five of us live here. We still have hundreds of bedrooms and dozens of work areas, my family has always been busy with runes and potions. Our library is huge, but I will probably only visit it as a cover since I own my own complete library. 

It´s my third birthday and my parents have invited some political friends who have kids themself from all sides dark, light, grey and Albus Dumbledore is there as well, maybe he´s trying to get some families on the light side or just looking at potential students who know what he is thinking. Armando Dippet is there as well, not much was said about him in the books but he looks kind but stern and powerful. I think there are only 5 years till he gives up the headship of Hogwarts in favor of Dumbles.

Enough political mingling of toddlers, it's 8 pm and I'm just using my magic for the first time, it feels a little warm throughout my body and I light up slightly. Nothing else happens but I think that I have come now more in tune with the world.
 I try to use my magic now so I hold out my finger and whisper Lumos, my finger lights up but I can tell that it costs me a lot of ´magical power´ I can only cast it three times. I like to think, that me using my magic at exactly my birthtime has helped me feel my magic better and having started to turn my body in a wand(even if it won´t be as quick and powerful). 
 But reading so many books about magic I know that magic is like a muscle you work it and it grows, even in old age, but the more magic you have the slower it grows and the harder it is to empty it out. After emptying my magic out I fall asleep.

5 years have gone by. I'm not sure what happened to those raiders that made us leave our home, but it's been uneventful here in Terrin. I'm not allowed to leave the house– probably on my father's orders. I guess there might have been more to the seers' vision. 

There is a library in the mansion. However, the books consist of illustrations and fables from the past. Nothing educational. So in my free time, I do push ups and sit ups. There isn't much else to do in this house, so what better way to spend my time since I'm pretty much grounded. 

I've learned to talk, but my wet nurse is all I have. I've tried talking to her, but she completely ignores me and only does her duties of feeding, washing, and keeping me 'happy'. Is ignoring me also part of my father's orders? So much for keeping me happy.

One day, I decide to sneak out of the house to be free of this boring life. I didn't want to be found walking around so I sneak around the village. Peeling a corner, I see some children aiming stones at a stack of stones. Are they trying to knock them over?

"Hey."

I walk over to them and they all turn to me in unison. They take a step back and look anxious in my presence. Why? The bigger boy in the group steps out of the group.

 "I am Hammond, son of Guido. As the biggest one here, I order you to go away Demon!"

'Are you serious?'

 I look at Hammond with a look of utter shock and anger. Demon is a little much, isn't it?

"Why do you call me a demon?" 

My fists clench as I ask. They notice my anger and in unison take a step back again. Hammond's bravado seems to be waning as sweat twinkles down his brow. 

*Shing*

The sound of a dagger leaving its scabbard rings out into the air. Hammond points the knife at me.

"War rages on and men run rampant in the land in search of wealth and honor. And then there is that demon child in our midst. Hammond, you will begin to learn how to fight. "

Hammond shivers. His dream has always been to become a great warrior like his father.

"Take this dagger. A sword would be too heavy. Carry this every day no matter the circumstance, become accustomed to its weight, and gain strength. And If that child ever leaves the safety of the Lord's house, no one will look for him. And if you ever run into him, make his life difficult. Kill him if you want. I give you my permission."

The dagger in Hammond's hand feels heavy. With much care, he tucks it into his rope belt.

"Thank you, father. I will not fail!"

As Hammond leaves, Guido's face sports a devilish grin.

The other boys feel braver with their friend holding a weapon. They encircle me to prevent my escape. A gleam of light passes through each of their eyes as Hammond looks at me. 

"Demon, today I, Hammond the Brave, shall kill you and gain honor."

He rushes forward in an attempt to stab me. Startled, I sidestep a moment too late and he manages to leave a shallow cut on my left arm. 

'All I wanted to do was relieve my boredom! Why did I do to deserve this?' 

I look around and the boys aren't giving me an escape route.

"STOP! Why are you doing this?"

"Because you are Demon spawn! Take honor that you die by my hand."

Hammond lunges toward me again. I can tell he isn't skilled with a dagger, but it's still a dangerous situation! I lower my body and space out my legs to prepare myself. 

As his dagger reaches me, the world slows down and I can see everything around me in slow motion. I sidestep to the left and with my right arm grab his right wrist. 

Bending his arm behind his back, I grab his right shoulder from behind him with my left hand and take him to the ground. The dagger drops to the ground.

"...Demon...he is a demon. RUN!"

The boys all stare at me in shock and run away yelling demon. I get off Hammond and run away before I'm discovered in this weird situation.
