Harmony's POV

"Woah, that was amazing!" Mal compliments as he struts over to Blaze and I after Music club ends and everyone is clearing the room.
Maddie is behind him and she's looking from me to Blaze with the same frown etched on her face.
"Thanks Mal" I grin
"That was awesome Harmony!" Justine adds as she joins us "I enjoyed it"
"Thanks, I am happy you did. Means a lot to know that you found it entertaining"
"Oh the whole entire club did" she chuckles "The way you were starring at Blaze so passionately, I think the whole school knows you both are inlove now"
The heat rises to my cheeks in a matter of seconds and I glance at Blaze whose face is abnormally red. Is he blushing? If he is, then that's cute and rare.
Maddie's face tenses before she forces a smile and clears her throat. Everyone pulls their attention to her and Mal seems to have forgotten his sister was standing there for a second
He looks at her "Oh Maddie, ready to head out?"
"Yeah" she nods, her eyes are focused on me as her lips form a tight smile "That was lovely Harmony"
I smile "Thank you Maddie"
"Well see you around, my sister needs to get checked in her dorm room" 
"Oh I didn't know you board here Mal" I say with a genuine smile
"Well a day ago, I didn't. It's my first day" he states "Maddie just asked our parents to let her board here yesterday so I just decided to board as well so she wouldn't be alone"
I nod understandingly and Maddie smiles "Yeah so we will see each other quite often.... Harmony"
She smirks and I smile awkwardly "Well...that'd be nice I guess"
"Oh it will be" she cross her arms against her chest and glares at me, a deep gaze into my eyes that gives me the chills. It creeps the living being out of me so I shift my gaze away and to Mal "See you around then Mal"
He smiles at me once more then glance awkwardly at Blaze as if he wasn't sure he wanted to give him a farewell or not. He decides not to and just walks away with his sister.
"Well remember to practice the Music sheet I gave you alright?" Justine reminds me 
"I will Justine"
She touches my shoulder "Thanks for being apart of this, I owe you big time"
I nod "Don't mention it"
She gives us each a smile before she leaves. Justine is not so bad even though we started off on the wrong foot, I am curious as to what made her change her mind about Blaze, maybe she realizes that it's pointless to be inlove with him because he will never reciprocate her feelings. I know he is hard work when it comes to emotions, but I am brave enough to try with him.
"Did you see how Maddie just looked at you?" Blaze asks as he begins to move toward the exit
"How?" I question, he pushes the door open and shift aside to grant me access to step out unto the hall
"She just looked at you like a fucking psycho, you're telling me you didn't see that?" He ruffles his hair as a habit while we begin to walk down the hall. The evening sun is setting, illuminating the university grounds with an orange glow. 
"Well she was looking at me and it did seem a little creepy.."
"A little? She feels like a horror fucking film"
I chuckle.
"It's not funny, damn. She's creepy"
I cross my arms over my chest and gaze at him "Mhm. I thought you love horror films and find them so hilarious and funny? What happened to: 'Yeah! This is real life stuff! People actually get cut to threads by a chainsaw in real life! Yeah!'"
 I attempt to mimic his voice but I just sound like a trying-too-hard fourteen year old boy who wants to sound mature for his eighteen year old crush and fails miserably.
He laughs "Wow, you sound like a teenage boy just then, Fuck, do I sound like that?"
I giggle "No way, no you don't, you sound a lot sexier.."
My eyes widen and I want to slap myself on the lips.
Did I just say, 'You sound sexier'? 
Kill me now.
"Woah" Blaze is grinning "I had no idea you found my voice sexy"
"That was just a slip of the tongue"
"A slip of the tongue alright" He bites his lower lip and I realize that not only is his voice sexy but everything about him is.
"Anyway, obvious change of topic, did you like my song earlier...?" I shyly gaze at the tiles while we walk to avoid embarrassing myself further after asking such a question.
"Nope...I didn't like it"
I look at him and my heart breaks in a million peices, I frown "You didn't?"
"Nope" he shakes his head
"Oh...." I want to cry.
He steps in my path suddenly and I stop abruptly and gaze up at him. I am very much aware that I look like a spoilt puppy who wants her owner to pat her on the head right now.
"I don't like it Harmony" he says seriously "I LOVED it...from my heart"
My lips spread in a smile and my previously half-dead heart has now been revived and begins to pump harder than before.
That's the best pat on the head I have ever gotten.
"Thank you...I am glad you did"
He smiles "April and the girls are going out tonight so...do you want me to come over? We can talk and watch some movies?"
Yeah, that is exactly what I would want.
I smile "Okay....I would love that"
"Great" he grins "Then I will get to my dorm, take a shower and then head over when I know April is gone"
I giggle "Okay. I will be waiting then"
He smiles and grips my hand in his as we continue trodding down the hall.

I get back to my dorm and April isn't present, so I am assuming she has already left for her outing with Yuna and Tia.
I slumped tiredly unto my bed and begin searching through my suitcase for a fresh clean pair of clothes to wear. I recall that Blaze will be over and I don't want to look like an unattractive grandmother so I settle with an oversize PJ shirt and a flower-patterned shorts that is not too skimpy but doesn't look like something from an elderly woman's closet either.
I quickly hit the shower and take a nice hot water bath that makes me feel so energized and relaxed as soon as I step out. I dry myself off with a towel and get dressed in my selected bed-wear. 
I think of all the possible things that can happen here tonight with Blaze and it makes me super excited. Being alone with him has been numorously proven to produce dangerous result but if I say the danger haven't always been sweet then I would be lieing. I guess he was right, I am addicted to danger.
I am tieing my wet hair into a quick messy bun when I hear a sound coming from inside my dorm room. My heart instantly races because I figure that it must be Blaze. I am appalled that he is here so early, I am guessing he is just as eager as I am.
I smile to myself and apply some skin lotion hastily unto my face before stepping from the bathroom, grinning wildly like a retarded hyena.
"Hey, you're here early Blaze, I just took a...."
I trail off and come to an abrupt halt when my eyes graces Maddie's instead.
What is she doing here?
I tilt my head to the side "Maddie?"
The door swings closed behind her and her lips spreads in a grin "Surprise"

Mia really liked her presents. She almost burst into tears. But unfortunately, I had to ruin the moment and remind her of what every kid dreads.

School.

Man fuck school! Oh! Linear equations, trigonometry, algebra, science, and all that useless shit!

I know a lot of people say that but c'mon! When am I gonna use that!? How about something useful!? I can imagine the job interviews!

Oh, no I don't know anything about the job but I do know how to find X!

Like what to do when a health crisis arises. Or I'm stuck somewhere and can't get out! Or what to do when adulthood approaches! God, they're basically telling us, oh here's information that's over ninety percent useless.

Oh, you're eighteen, you haven't dropped out, or killed yourself due to ignored bullying, and you actually graduated but can't find a job with the information you know!

Oh, that's too bad, sorry but go eat shit, you're an adult now, and we expect you to take care of yourself even though we never taught you how! Now use your mediocre education to get into a pricey college, that will put you in debt for the majority of your life!


Just tell us to go stick a broom up our ass why don't ya.

*Oof* My rant on the school system was cut short by Mia throwing a pillow at my face.

"Stop thinking about how useless school is and get dressed!" She exclaimed.


When the hell did she get up!?

Mia glared at me, but because of her puppy-like features, it was really cute.

"Clothes, on body, NOW!" She ordered.

I stifled a laugh and nodded before standing up and heading to the dresser.

It seems Mia already had her clothes picked out. I could tell she was feeling happy based on her outfit choice.

She wore light pink shorts with suspenders, a long-sleeved white shirt, a cropped light pink hoodie, knee-high light pink socks, light pink sneakers, and a shitload of matching pink hair accessories.

Meanwhile, I just put on some slightly ripped skinny jeans, a baggy black long-sleeved shirt, black and white sneakers, and put my hair in a low ponytail.

I chuckled as Mia made sure to show off her necklace and looked at me to do the same.

I couldn't resist those puppy eyes so I did the same.

After gathering all our stuff we finally set off for he-, I mean school.


(A Few Minutes Later)


We arrived at the huge torn down building with kids and teens swarming in.

We gave each other the 'Let's get this done' look, before heading in already annoyed.

Once we got in we could already feel the stares and the following whispers.


Some about how trashy we were and baseless rumors. Mostly said by the future thots, I mean bitches, I mean girls! Yeah, that's what I meant.

While the others were mostly horny guys, talking about which one of us they'd rather do and all kinds of sexual shit. 

Though I'm pretty sure half of them are joining in because they feel like they have to. While the others want to stay in Narnia.


For fuck's sake, you are fourteen! Calm down! Or grow some balls! But if they did grow balls they would immediately be kicked back inside their bodies by their new bullies. So I can't really blame them, but I'm still gonna.

*Ugh* I hate this place. But what I hate even more is that Mia and I have first period apart.

I have Science while Mia has Science with a different teacher.


I realized we had arrived at my classroom and I felt my heart twinge. Mia looked up at me with a knowing look and we both sighed.

She gave me a quick hug and I patted her head in return. She let go of me and started walking in the direction of her class.

She gave one more sorrowful wave before hightailing it to her class.

You'd think we're going to leave each other forever. I love it.

I stared at the bronze doorknob and gripped it tightly. *Sigh!*

I pushed the door in and was attacked with the sound of babbling of all the other kids or teens my age.

When I came in everyone turned to me and immediately started snickering.

They did something to my desk, just watch.

I walked over to my reserved seat and WHAT. A. SURPRISE. Note the sarcasm.

There are drawings of dicks, tits, and curse words. This wouldn't have happened if we had joint tables.

The snickering grew louder as I stared at it.

I wiped my finger on it and, yep it's Sharpie.


I looked at the clock at the front of the class.
I got about five minutes.

I walked over to the whiteboard and grabbed a dry erase marker and the whiteboard eraser.

I could see the confused looks on their faces as I walked back to my desk.

I took the dry erase marker and colored over the Sharpie drawings. Then I took the eraser and erased both the Sharpie and dry erase marker.

I'm glad this lifehack doesn't just work on whiteboards.

I clicked the top back onto the marker and placed both it and the eraser back on the board. I scurried back over to my seat and sat down just in time for the head bitch-, I mean teacher! The teacher to come in and plop her sagging ass in her chair.

What? I called her teacher, that's the maximum amount of respect I'm gonna give er'.

I took out my textbook and ignored the gaping oafs who couldn't believe what just happened.

Class went by normally. Except that there were fewer spitballs and other shit, thrown at my head.

Once the bell rang, everyone quickly scrambled to shove their stuff into their bags and go quickly out the door.

I calmly put my stuff in my bag and slowly stood up and got ready to leave.

"Hannah, " Oh damn it here we go, " Come here, please." The teacher called me.

I tried so hard not to roll my eyes and strode over to her nice and composed.

Once I got to her desk she immediately said, " I heard you wrote on your desk. You will come to school on Saturday for detention."

She didn't even look up from her papers. 

It would be useless to try and argue with her so I just nodded and went for the door. 

"You shouldn't be so passive. You won't get anywhere in life like that." She uttered one more sentence

*Scoff* She's just trying to encourage me to fight back even though she knows I'll be punished.

Bitch.

I give her a small smile and another nod before I pull the door open. 

One hour.

That was how long this piss pit took to drain the happiness from my body. If I ever make it rich I will burn this place to the ground and rebuild it.

Once I closed the doof behind me, guess who came up with a big hug to take all my negative things away.

It should be obvious who it by now. Mia clasped her arms around my waist and snuggled her head against me.

We could both hear the not so silent jeers and insults from everyone else but we couldn't give a rat's ass.

"C'mon let's go we'll be late." She chimed.

One of the only semi-decent things about this place is that aside from first period, Mia and I have all our other classes together.

To avoid droning on, we then had history, French, and then finally we got to eat lunch.

We walked into the cafeteria and the same thing happened here as what happened in the hallway.

Whispering, hecklers, and yadda, yadda.

I protected Mia from any food that was thrown at us, the cuteness of her outfit must remain unscathed.

We said hi to lunch ladies, yes we're on good terms with the lunch ladies, and grab our trays that have... Uh?

Mashed potatoes? Macaroni? Guacamole? All I know is that it's mushy, for now, and has a bunch of different colors.

The lunch ladies gave us a sorry look. They just serve the shit, they don't really make it. I feel bad for them.

We, in turn, gave them an understanding nod.

We finally got down in a table in the corner that's close to the trash cans. It's not that bad really. We're also on good terms with the janitors so they usually spray or put some air freshener down.

And put a little extra effort into cleaning our little corner. It's actually quite cozy and serene. The other tables aren't close enough for us to hear or throw food at us.

And it's the only place in her that doesn't smell like sweat and vomit.

We began to dig into the-, the-, yeah, I still don't have a clue what this shit is.

It didn't taste half bad though.

*Bang Stomp Stomp Stomp* 

"Brianna!"

"Brianna, what's wrong!?"

"Hey, calm down!"

"What's going on!?"

We heard a commotion nearby but we couldn't care less. If we finished early then we can head to P.E sooner. 

We all know what humiliation can happen in the locker room. Either from experience, a movie, or from someone who's actually been through it. We've all either read or seen Carrie.

"Hey!" I heard someone shout but I thought it was just regular teen drama that didn't involve me.

"Hey!" The shouting grew louder. Man, can't she do this somewhere else?

"Uh, sis." Mia got my attention away from my food just as a fist struck the table.

We both looked up and it was, drum roll, please.

She's the cliche of rich girls, the queen bee, the head mean girl, the most popular, head cheerleader, preppy yet nasty, high heel wearing, a tiny ass flaunting, spoiled, entitled, bossy, and big tittied female dog.

The one who always bullies us the most out of anyone. Brianna Charles everybody, give her a hand!

But seriously, what did she want with us now?

My name is Hannah and I have a twin sister named Mia. Sorry, it's not the most glamorous introduction but her goes nothing.

You see life hasn't exactly been kind to either of us. Our parents hated and abandoned us. We’re poor and we get bullied A LOT at school. But we both have each other and that's enough for us. So we spent almost all our time together and we overcame all things that came our way.

But as luck would have it we were cornered on a bridge by a group of pricks. Nothing we haven't handled before but this time they pulled out knives. 

We had to escape so in a split-second decision we jumped off the bridge into the freezing water. 

We both thought we'd die but hey, it was better than being stabbed. We couldn't afford any hospital bills if we lived, so yeah, this seemed like the best option.

Everything went black and I thought that was the end.

But suddenly I could feel my body again.

Wait! Why does my skin feel so weird? What happened to my legs? Are these hooves?

I had become a horse?

No wait this bump on my head, a horn?

I had become a unicorn?

You know what? No, no, no, no! I am not going to be a unicorn. A slug, a snail, a monkey, hell I would even be a banana. Not some rainbow riding unicorn.

I was ready to give up then and there. But I then realized my sister had come along on my little transmigration. Except she was a bicorn. Basically a unicorn but with two horns.

So I decided to suck it up and continue living happily with my sister.

But oh fate just loves to screw with me.

It turns out that this world is really dangerous! It had monsters, beasts, dragons, dungeons, human hunters, elves, beastmen!

To make matters worse unicorns and bicorns are one of the weakest creatures to ever walk in this world. We can run fast but that's pretty much it. Some of us can use magic and talk and if we're really desperate for their lives we might charge but that's it.

The only way we survived is by traveling in a pack or herd if you will and grazing in the most remote of locations. You know those pictures of unicorns quietly grazing in a meadow with a waterfall and a rainbow going across the big blue sky.

Yeah, we only hang there so we don't die and be skinned and have our horns ripped out our skulls.

No big deal, we can handle it.


But the almighty fate or luck or whatever you wanna f*****g call it struck again. Our parents seemed to have crossed over into this world as well. Because not only do they hate us our entire herd does so we were kicked out.

We both thought we would die again but I ended up killing a small rabbit and this popped into my head.

Ok as it turns out me and my sister both have a cheat system and skills. 

Hmmm, maybe this won't be so bad after all. 

Oooh, rabbit! You're mine! CHARGE!

"He knows." Cindy stared right up ahead as she spoke, still clenching Arsen's hand tightly. She was numb due to the icy chill that gripped her body, refusing to release her. Numb to the snow, that seemed to fall harder with every passing moment. Every muscle in Cindy's body tensed, like those of a frightened, trapped animal.

 

Calm down Cindy, calm down. Get real. Think straight! Eric can't really be here.

 

In…two…three

 

Out…two…three

 

"Cindy."

 

Hearing her name on Arsen's tongue made Cindy want to cry. But she couldn't. Fear rose up further in her throat, and she fought for her breath.

 

"Every guy on campus has a hat like that…it's like seeing a polo shirt in the snow, and being positive it's Eric's," Arsen said, trying to convince Cindy, tugging the hat from her grip, tossing it into the woods. "Let's get out of here. It's freezing!" He concluded, pulling Cindy towards the exit of the forest.

 

Cindy nodded slowly, still in shock.

 

"You're right," she murmured, wiping the snow off her pants. "That hat could be anybody's."

 

Could it?

 

Cindy was simply repeating Arsen's words, trying to convince herself that was the truth, even when she knew deep down that it wasn't. A small part of Cindy knew that she was being irrational, thinking Eric was here, but out of everyone, he was the worst person at school to have seen them. Or Eve. But Cindy was positive that Eve was in Vermont. But Eric seeing them would make everything fall apart at once. How could Cindy's mind not go there? Besides, she had just given him the hat before he had left! I mean, what were the odds?

 

Another wave of panic gripped Cindy as her mind raced over all of today's events. Eric probably hadn't even believed her corny lie about the text Arsen had sent her earlier that morning. What if had just pretended to so he could save a huge fight from producing in the Dining Hall? Save saying it to her face, and just tell all of Cindy's friends behind her back? Ericdidn't like to lose, and that was the quality that made him a star athlete. It made him a Garcia. The kind of guy who would do anything to prevent himself from losing Cindy. Anything.

 

If Eric as indeed here following Cindy and Arsen, there was no telling what he would do to them.

 

"Come on. We can stay in Ketlar," Arsen announced, grabbing Cindy's hand again, but her fingers were too cold to even feel Arsen's fingers entwine with hers.

 

"Ketlar's not open," Cindy protested. She clung to Arsen as if he could erase her fear. Make it not true. Make the hat go away. Make it not even be on campus.

 

"I rigged the back door," Arsen explained. "We can stay in my room," he added. "How do you think I get back into my dorm after partying on the weekends, when everything is locked up?" He asked, wearing a cocky grin as he spoke.

 

Cindy groaned. Why did Arsen have to bring that up? Why couldn't he just pretend to not be a party guy, or a drug dealer for her, for just a few moments? Cindy was making sacrifices for him! Why couldn't he make some for her for once?

 

"I don't know…" Cindy stammered, pausing as the wind whipped her hair into her face. "What if someone sees us though? What if Eric-"

 

"Eric Garcia is not here!" Arsen interrupted, shouting against the wind, releasing Cindy's hand as he spoke. His voice was sharp and stinging, and Cindy took a few steps back, shocked. She had never seen Arsen get mad at her like this before.

 

Cindy gulped before speaking, suddenly feeling tense around Arsen for the first time.

 

"I'm sorry…" Cindy whispered looking down at the ground.

 

Arsen stomped ahead a few steps, looking up towards the night sky as he rolled his eyes. He then turned around, and looked at Cindy. His face immediately softened.

 

"What are you sorry for?" He asked, laughing suddenly.

 

Cindy shrugged, starting to giggle. She sighed in relief. What was she thinking? Why would Arsen ever get really mad at her? Over a silly little thing like this especially? She was really losing it tonight.

 

"It's just…I'm sick of hearing about Eric Garcia! I mean, he's not here now…why can't we just have fun now, and forget about what happens later?" Arsen told Cindy, looking at her sincerely as he spoke.

 

Cindy's heart warmed at the vulnerability of that statement.

 

"And I'm aware that we can't get caught…I'm screwed if we get expelled," he explained. "I can't think of any other options though, because you aren't sleeping on the snow," Arsen added, smiling at Cindy as he spoke.

 

Cindy smiled, and her heart wanted to explode now. No guy had ever put her first like Arsen was right now. It made Cindy actually feel important. Like someone cared deeply for her, for once in her life.

 

"Fine," Cindy agreed, trying to sound calm, and not too excited over the idea, even though she sort of was. She wondered what Arsen's room was going to look like…clean? Messy? Drug infested?

 

Arsen reached for Cindy's hand, and together, they walked the rest of the way through the forest and back to campus. As she trudged through the snow and wind, Cindy tried to get all her feelings in order. Arsen's tone had wounded her, and had made Cindy feel like a scolded child. But she knew that Arsen was right. He always got away with everything and anything. And he wasn't the only one to lose everything if they did get expelled. He wasn't the only one whose family would be destroyed if he was caught. But on the other hand, Arsen had made an amazing recovery, and had made Cindy feel happy with herself, and what she was currently doing, for the first time in her life.

 

Finally, they reached the back door to Ketlar. He lifted a bar up about the door handle, and opened the door easily, without trouble. He held his hand out, gesturing for Cindy to enter ahead of him. He flicked his lighter on, giving them a light source since the halls were all pitch black.

 

The halls of Ketlar were silent. Lifeless. Usually filled with yelling and loud music, they now echoed with heavy silence. Cindy shivered in the cold, watching her breath rise and disappear in front of her. Silently, she followed Arsen up to the second floor, turning away as she passed Eric's room.

 

Arsen stopped at the end of the hall in front of his room. It was bare, unlike most of the other doors in the hall, which were mostly covered with bumper stickers, pictures, and dry erase boards. Arsen pushed his door open with his free hand.

 

"It's not exactly a room at The Muskoka," he announced, shutting the door behind Cindy. "But it will work. For tonight."

 

Cindy looked around at Arsen's room, observing the state of it. It had the same layout as her and Gabrielle's room, except it was a third of the size. The room was surprisingly clean…both sides. Arsen's bed was unmade, but for a guy, everything else seemed fairly clean. Cindy then noticed an unopened bottle of wine sitting on top of Arsen's desk.

 

"Classy," Cindy commented wryly. "Did you rob a liquor store?" She joked accusingly.

 

"Harsh words for someone who just committed a felony!" Arsen smirked. "Breaking and entering. Considering your reputation, I personally would have excepted more from you."

 

Cindy exhaled slowly. What was Arsen expecting from her, exactly? But the tension between them seemed to dissolve just as quickly as it appeared. And just knowing that they were together in Arsen's room, out of the storm, out of sight, made Cindy feel safe. She dropped her bag on Will's desk chair.

 

"You seem to be forgetting that I'm not the one breaking and entering here…I'm just the accomplice!" Cindy smirked playfully.

 

"Nice try Princess, but face it. You're in this just as deeply as me." For a moment, the shadows moving across Arsen's face made him look different. Like a stranger. Dangerous. But then he smiled, and he was Arsen again. "Let me get the light," he said to Cindy, who was still shivering.

 

"Don't!" Cindy protested quickly, reaching for Arsen, gripping his sleeve. "Someone may see us!" She explained. That wasn't the only reason, although Cindy wasn't going to let Arsen in on the fact that she wanted to keep darkness between them right now. That way he wouldn't be able to see her. Read her. Let herself see him. Making herself want to get closer to Arsen.

 

"Good call naughty girl," Arsen agreed, tossing the light onto his desk. He then leaned towards her, making all the tiny hairs on the back of Cindy's neck stick up. She had her lips pursed, waiting for Arsen to place his on hers. But the kiss never happened. Arsen leaned right past Cindy, opening his desk drawer. He took out a par of candles.

 

"Interesting," Cindy grumbled, raising an eyebrow, and sliding aside to give him more room. "This wouldn't be some sort of ploy to seduce me, would it?" Cindy asked, half jokingly.

 

Arsen placed the candles on hid desk, and quickly lit them, then glanced over her shoulders.

 

"Oh please, like I really need a candle for that!" Arsen said, the light allowing Cindy to see that he was winking at her and grinning.

 

Cindy blushed as her heart flipped over ten times. How did anyone get so confident? It was intoxicating. Arsen turned and dropped down on his bed, looking up at Cindy with a cocky smile.

 

"You gonna stand there all night Princess?" He asked. "You know it's warmer over here!" He smirked, pointing at the empty spot on the other side of his bed.

 

Cindy didn't move. Suddenly, now that she was here, faced with the reality of being alone with Arsen, being in bed with him, Cindy knew that she couldn't do it. What was she thinking? That she was going to lose her virginity to him right here, right now? After all the crap she told Eric about not wanting to do it for her first time in a dorm room, how could she go against that? After putting off her perfect boyfriend for so long, was she really just going to give it all up to Arsen Wolf, after a hook up?

 

Besides, Cindy still had the hunch that Eric might have followed them here. He might be standing outside Arsen's room right now, listening. The very thought of that sent the walls closing in on Cindy. There was no telling what Ericwould do if he heard the wrong thing from inside the room.

 

"Arsen…I can't." Cindy sighed.

 

Arsen's smirk froze.

 

"You're kidding, right?" He laughed.

 

Cindy backed away, taking her shoes off.

 

"No, I'm not, actually!" Cindy snapped. "I…I'll just sleep in Will's bed," she announced, trying not to cringe as she sat at the side of her friend's bed. Sleeping there would be totally awkward. She couldn't imagine what she would say to him once he got back from his holidays.

 

"Hey Cindy, how were your holidays?"

 

"Oh, pretty cool. I spent the first night in your bed. Nice and comfy. How were yours?

 

Cindy didn't even want to imagine Will's reaction. Let alone Summer's. If their relationship survived the holidays.

 

"Wait a second!" Arsen shouted, interrupting Cindy's thoughts. "First you have me calling The Muskoka for a hotel room, and now you're all shy?" Arsen challenged her, propping himself up on one elbow to see her more clearly.

 

"Don't be mad," Cindy murmured, praying that Arsen wouldn't overreact.

 

"Princess has got split personalities!" Arsen cheered. "I'm intrigued," he added.

 

"I thought I told you not to call me that."

 

Arsen started at her for a long moment. So long that Cindy almost started to squirm.

 

"Fine, whatever floats your boat Princess," he smirked, standing up again.

 

Then, right in front of her eyes, Arsen stripped right down to his boxers. Then he got into his bed, lying down in his covers.

 

"But, you must know that my roommate's kind of a man whore. I've seen some pretty skanky girls come in that bed," Arsen began. "And I gotta tell you, for the 13 years that I've known Will for, I've never seen him wash his sheets. No telling what kind of-"

 

"Nice try," Cindy interrupted, laying down on top of Will's bed, glancing around for a comforter. Sheets even. But there were none. Will must have taken them home with him. Cindy felt a sharp cold setting into her body. She shivered even more, stuffing her face into the pillow. If Arsen was a gentleman, he would offer Cindy his blanket.

 

"Do they ever turn the heat on in here?" Cindy grumbled, her teeth starting to chatter as she spoke.

 

"Not when no one is staying in here," Arsen explained. "Sandor Chestershire will do anything to save a buck," he yawned. He then paused. "You know, it's nice and warm over here Cindy," he said, sounding genuine. "Bio-hazard free too!" He joked.

 

"How nice of you," Cindy said, faking a nice, cheery voice. "But no," she added sternly.

 

Cindy was not going to ask Arsen for dry clothes. She refused. Instead, she took her sweater off to get the wet sleeves away from her cold skin, exposing the white T-shirt she wore underneath. Then she yanked her sweater over herself, trying to keep the wet parts of it away from her body. She pulled her knees up to her chest, and wrapped her arms around them, curling herself into a tight ball. There was no way Cindy was going to be able to sleep like that. She was colder then ever.

 

"Yup…nice and warm," Arsen sang, pulling himself further under his blankets. "Toasty, really. Toasty, toasty, toasty…"

 

"For goodness sake!" Cindy snapped, throwing her sweater on the ground. "If I come over there, will you just shut up and go to sleep?"

 

Arsen lifted up the covers, and slid back towards the wall, giving Cindy some room.

 

"I make no promises, Princess," he smirked.

 

Cindy slid into Arsen's bed next to him. She was glad that he couldn't see the flush that crept all the way from Cindy's neck up into her face.

 

"We'll see," Cindy grumbled, rolling away from Arsen. Despite her earlier protestations, she treasured the warmth of Arsen's bed right now. She suddenly heard Arsen rolling over, and she felt his body pressed against hers.

 

"Now what?" He whispered in her ear, sending pleasant shivers all the way down her spine.

 

Cindy inched herself farther over in the bed.

 

"Now, we sleep!" Cindy snapped, becoming frustrated.

 

"Sure," Arsen smiled. "You just wake me up when you can't take it anymore."

 

Cindy said nothing, and left it at that. She lay there, awake, Arsen's warm body still pressed against her cold one, worried that if she even made one move that Arsen would think that she was coming onto him. Cindy worried that at any second, Eric would open up the door and catch them together. But after watching the digital clock tick from minute to minute, for over an hour, after listening for the footsteps outside that never came, Cindy finally let the sound of Arsen's steady breathing lull her to sleep.

"Lanie! Mulanie Marie Crawford!" Aunt Vivian shouted. "I've been calling you for awhile, get your head back on your shoulders and pay attention for once!..."

"Sorry aunt Vivian, I didn't mean to-"

"Enough with the excuses Lanie, now answer this question" as she angrily smacked the pointer on the dry erase board.

"Yes ma'am. What is one of the hearts 4-"

"My god! Lanie speak up, you're quieter than a church mouse on a Sunday!"

"Yes ma'am. What is one of the hearts 4 chambers?!" I say with a louder tone "The first chamber is the right ventricle. It's job is to pump deoxygenated blood to the pulmonary artery."

"Very good, you may take your seat now, next time I call you, I expect you to answer right away, do you understand?"

A creek comes from behind and Aunt Lola approaches

"Viv, give sweet Lanie a break, you have this poor child shaking in her boots everyday." Aunt Lola says softly

"No! She needs to learn manners. Where did we go wrong?!" Aunt Vivian shouts

Aunt Lola put her hands on my shoulders and gives me a slight smirk

"Darling, why don't we call it a day, okay? I just finished baking chocolate chip cookies with a twist, tell me what you think is the new ingredient?"

   I start to get up from my desk 

"No! Lola, we still have 7 minutes and 12 seconds left of today's lesson. Sit down Lanie!"

I sit back down 

"Yes ma'am"

"Honey, go ahead and get to the kitchen, I'll talk with your aunt." Says aunt Lola with a slightly sassy tone

"Yes ma'am"

I look at aunt Lola for more confirmation before I get up

"LANIE STOP BEING SO DISOBEDIENT!" Aunt Vivian shouted. Her words echoed through the opened door and all throughout the house. 

Her glare cuts through me like a knife and I sit down quickly. Aunt Lola pulls my arm with an unexpected strength and glared at me to leave so I get up...again

"LANIE! LANIE GEt back here" Aunt Vivian voice fades out as I get further and further away from the room. 

I let out a great sigh 

The smell of freshly baked cookies soothes me as I get closer to the kitchen. My watch starts beeping as a 5 minutes reminder.

"Oh crap I need to hurry and start my pc up! My guild members might get annoyed with me if I'm late for the raid again!"

I grab a handful of cookies from the plate on the counter and run upstairs to my room. 

"Come on come on computer! My baby you need to hurry a little, mama's begging you. "

"No no no! Where's the 'remind me later' button?! ....oh yeah I've been postponing the update for 4 days already..."

The life of a person that cannot face the truth is that of a coward. Many people can admit to a lie, but many people can't face what is real and still hand on to what is fake. Does it offer them a way to cover up a blemish in their life? Or does it bring them comfort in not knowing what is truth and a what is a lie? Who knows? Some people just don't want to believe in the truth.

Simon had just finished looking through each of the books he had bought, leaving him at midnight. The cheaper books only took around 10-20 minutes each to read and learn, but the black book took up the rest of the night. The complexity of it made it a nightmare to learn, a hundred different mental notes and preparations were needed to use it. Luckily, Simon was prepared. Using Absolute Focus, Simon managed to learn the entire book and get some mental practice.

'Isn't it just great that focusing is my main strong point? I think I could stare at a grain of sand in a desert for an entire day without losing it in the dunes!' Simon thought to himself.

As for practical testing, Simon decided to do that when he had more time. He still need to sleep after all.

Simon woke up with a bit of a sore feeling in his neck and back, proceeding to get out of bed and make some instant coffee. 'When I get some money, I will probably get some better coffee supplies.'

"ANYONE THERE?"

A loud cry came from the door. The voice of someone familiar, but Simon crust couldn't figure out who at this point. After waking up from a long and tiring night, Simon wasn't in the best state of mind. Walking slowly to the door, he asked back, "Yes? What do you need?"

"Ah! Good, you're here. Could you please open the door. I have a request from Vice-principal Feng!" The voice called.

"Sure, sure." Simon responded as he opened the door.

"Nice room. Anyways, lets cut right to the chase." A tall and skinny man said relaxed like as he walked in. 

"Vice-principal Feng has identified you as a student with potential, and has issued an executive order for such students to be moved to a more suitable class. You will now report to professor Peter White's lecture instead of attending C-class. Haven has still yet to decide on a name for this class, but the board has high hopes for it. He also desires for you to meet him tomorrow at 12pm in his office, bye!" And the man left as quickly as he came.

'He didn't even give me time to say no. Such a shrewd and cunning person... he managed to force me to agree in the form of not having the chance to say no.'

Simon pondered on what had just happened for a minute or so and decided to check on his coffee. He found it to be lukewarm, which is exactly how he likes it, smiling with a shine on his face. 'Not too cold, but not too hot either.' He sat on his couch and thought.

"Pffft! I end up being my teacher in the end. I guess I'll just have to come up with a good excuse to not attend my own class. I might as well say that I'm my own personal disciple or something of the sort, and pretend to be busy in training. As for the meeting, I got time, I'll here what he has to say."

"Teaching is way more fun, it's not like reading a book and writing on your own book. It's so much more expressive! I can teach how I want to teach, and no one will bother me as long as I yield results!" 

Simon finished his coffee, then proceeding to take a short shower and dry himself afterwards.

"I got nothing else to do. The next VA tournament is scheduled for the end of the semester, and the fun and romantic plot starts in two weeks if all goes to plan. James can handle it himself for all I care, it's his life. But somehow I have a lingering feeling that James won't encounter spring anytime soon, I did screw him over after all. I'll find a way to pay him back later...." Simon murmured.

"Anyways, I might as well gain some reputation at this point. That Feng guy has put me in a lecture that he's putting other geniuses in, so I need to act the part. I can't look like some idiot that got in through bribes." 

Simon put on a white T-shirt and black chinos, leaping out of his dorm and running for some place in the distance. 'If it is rep I need, then I should go to a hub for gossip. Maybe while I am at it, I might meet some useful people. Practice comes next!'

I woke up to the sound of my alarm gosh! I hate alarms so much, i heard Nicole snoring beside me. I stood up a heed to the bathroom i brushed my teeth and took my bath i relax to the feeling of hot water  on my body. I stayed there for more than i intended to do, i washed my hair with a shampoo and then dry my hair and body with a towel 

i wore my plane black t-shirt ,skinny jeans and my black snickers i wrote Nicole a letter telling her i'm heading to Starbucks for some good coffee cus its weekend no school 

it took me thirty minute to reach Starbucks i silently pray that i don't meet king jerk cus i heard that he always comes to Starbucks on weekdays i entered the place and sat down waiting for the waiter a young boy approached me  "what will you like miss?"
i smiled at the young boy he remind me of my brother" I will like a caffe latte please"
"ok miss"

while waiting for the waiter to bring my caffe latte i checked on my phone for any latest message but found none "today seems boring" i muttered to my self i suddenly feel a presence near me i turned my head to see who's there to my suprise i found the master himself king jerk staring at me with a evil smile i thought to my self " i think my day just just turned from boring to bad"
"what is your problem, why are you following me?"
he sat down on the chair facing me with a smirk 
"wow what makes you think i'm following you? Who do you think you are?"
"you are just a piece of shit and nothing more you are someone i hate and despise so much, i wish you  could disappear from the school" he said with a scowl
i felt some anger build into me but i held it in, i hate the smirk on his face i couldn't take it any longer i stood up
"I might hate confrontations but i wont accept some jerk throwing insults at me. Who  do you think you are! Your dick belongs in your pants not your personality but technically your attitude is shit i don't know what i have ever done to you and let me make one thing clear i wont accept a dickhead like you insulting me and i might hate confrontations but i wont hesitate to show you the other side of me" i turned to leave i saw his face he looked suprised at first he then turns to his usual smirk "wow! So the cat really has a dark side" i hissed and left the place i heard the waiter calling me "miss!" "miss!" but i was very angry i slamped the door 

i head back to my dorm room and saw nicole playing game on her laptop she look up and smile "hy lydi, how was your trip to starbucks? You could've  woke me up i really want to visit starbuck" 
"next time" i said 
"lydi what happen why did you sound annoyed did something happen?"
i closed my eyes and open it again  " the trip was very bad i met king jerk you know what he insulted me and  i couldnt control my anger so i insulted him back and he called me cat, he got me so angry and...
"lydi breath" Nicole said and thats when i remembered to breath after taking puffs of breath i said "thanks Nicole" "but lydi i hope he wont get back at you"
"Whatever" I said

The weekend goes by just little event happened after that day I stayed in our room and did all my assignment I checked my instagram and Facebook and that's all 
And its Monday school time, I went to school not very early with Nicole and entered the college I was heading to the class then I saw king jerk and a girl making out his back against a locker I just hissed and heed to my class I saw him glanced at me from the corner of my eye. We sat at our usual seats just then the teacher enters and wrote a test on the board he brought a basket and collect all our phones and hang the basket around the handle of the door. What kind of teacher gives a test on first week
The rest of class goes by in a rush and it was lunch time so we head to the cafeteria and sat at our usual table and gisting 
Then I heard some student talking about a Zion throwing a party this weekend 
" am really looking forward to this coming party you're going right?" Nicole said
"Go alone CU's am not going to that king jerk so called party " I said
" c'mon Lydia don't be a party popper, you know everyone is going "
"I don't care am going nowhere" I yelled
"Please please please Lydia I promise to never force you to come to a party with me after this one they will be a lot of fun trust me" "still NO? Ok I guess I'm not your best friend since I'm not important to you, my opinion aren't important"
"Nic don't play that card"I could see the disappointment in Nicole face 
" if you want our friendship to continue then come with me" she stood up and left the place I felt guilty for turning her down

 Lydia Evans, is a simple girl she talks to no one in school her only friend is Nicole Kris she has a dark secret she hiding but things change when she meets Zion will their hatred for each turns to love?

The first time I read Little Red Riding Hood in first grade, I spit the half chewed pretzels in my mouth everywhere. The kids in my class all stared at me like I was crazy. Nothing new. In fact the fact that they even looked at me was an improvement. Still, ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME! Me, taken down by a wolf, really? But then again I do suppose technically it was a wolf that was my undoing in the end. Technically. 

Still though, I should probably back up. My name is Maya. I am a fourteen year old Indian girl. On the outside. On the inside...I don't know what the hell I am nor do I care to find out. I used to be a girl named Destiny but that is far, far, faaaaaaaar behind me. Oh, and I hate Farytales. Absolutely hate 'em. And don't you even get me started on Disney movies. The only reason I was ever reading Red Riding Hood was because of a stupid school assignment. 

Anyway, I meander through the halls searching for my locker. My locker this year is nestled in the really far corner and getting past all the friend group clumps to get there is a pain in the behind. Finally, I spot it. Unfortunately though, I'm going to have to get past a bunch of guys to get to it. I sigh and walk up to them. "Move."

They are talking really loudly, about a Cardinals game or something. "MOVE" This time I shove one of the guys. I finally catch their attention and they stumble to the side mumbling apologies. Really. I just don't get guys. Or girls for that matter. Or more like middle schoolers in general. 

I reach for my locker but before I can enter in the password I hear a cheerful "hi Maya!" Oh great. Mia saunters over to me. "Hows your life going? Good job getting past those guys!" The constantly chipper, extremely chatty, super optimist. And the opposite of me. 

"Yeah, well I didn't see you coming to help."

"You know I'm not good with guys." She attempts to pout.

"Anyway, in answer to your question my life is rather dreary at the moment."

"Why!?" 

"Cause, my little sister couldn't SHUT UP about the Sleeping Beauty movie she saw at her friend's birthday party ALL WEEKEND."

"Awww. But Anebell's so cute. Besides what's wrong with fan girling? God knows her older sister's done her fair share."

"But I fan girl about USEFUL things."

"Anime is useful?" She raises one eyebrow in disbelief.

Ugh, no fair, my eyebrows can't do that. "Well she just gets excited over stupid things like a stupid prince saving a STUPID princess!"

"Aww. Come on don't say stupid."

"But it is!"

"You know, I always wondered why you never liked princesses."

"Because they're-"

"Don't you dare say stupid one more time. How would YOU like it if someone called your favorite anime stupid? Anyway, catch you later. Class starts in five minutes."

Leaving behind a sputtering me, my annoying friend Mia makes her exit. 

My first class is English, ugh. More independent and dependent clauses, yay. I make my way to the classroom, dogging students here and there. Finally I reach it, Ms. Barnible's eighth grade English class. Every once in a while some kid decides to be funny and call her Ms. Barnicle. Her response? To give them the ten page packet on grammar she has specially reserved as a punishment just for that. 

I open the door and make my way to my back row corner seat. As I do I notice that Ms. Barnible's desk it empty. Strange. By now nearly the whole class is filled and Ms. Barnible is a stickler for tardiness, even with herself. 

I get to my seat and begin unloading my books. Right now we are reading a book called the Crucible that basically highlights how humans being stupid, conniving, stubborn, and deceptive was what was responsible for the Salem witch hunts in the 1600. It really goes to show, humans can really suck. 

I take out the necessary materials for class and glance up again. Still no sign of Ms. Barnible. I sit at my desk only half listening to kids chat about the latest popular songs, periodically checking the clock and Ms. Barnible's desk. 

At a quarter till eight I start to get worried. At ten till eight I start to get really worried. At five till eight I am starting to seriously freak out. 

"Hey, if she doesn't come by ten minutes into class can we all just leave?" One guy asked. Everyone began jostling each other and joking about just walking out of school and getting Starbucks. Although I was kind of worried I was also glad to miss time studying clauses. 

Just then the guy by me drops his pencil. I glance up. He has a shaggy mane of silver blond hair. It isn't to his shoulders but it nearly is. Not someone ever I've talked to before. I reach for the pencil and as I'm handing it to him our eyes meet. I freeze for a moment. I stare into those brown-no tinged with ruby-no blood red eyes. predator. The word comes unbidden to my mind. A second later he breaks contact and snatches his pencil back with a muttered thanks. 

I hand it back mutely, my mind numbed with shock. How... Where... Why... Questions whirl through my head. Those eyes, those eyes. Those hauntingly, piercingly fearsome eyes that seem to bore into your very soul and freeze it to ice. Only once before have I seen those eyes. Once long ago, in another life. 

WHAM! The door to our classroom slams open. Every single pair of eyes in the classroom swivels around to see...a very peculiar looking man. He is tall with a broad chest and shoulders. I wouldn't call him large exactly, more like well built. He is wearing a long dark coat. But, the most striking thing about him is his hair. It is long and halfway down his shoulders but more than that is that it's a shade of impossibly electric blue. It hurts to even look at it. What is he, an anime character?

There is something strangely ethereal about him, he carries a very powerful presence. Our entire class is dead silent which is a result not even Ms. Barnible's most interesting class can produce. The spell is only broken when the man shakes himself like a wet dog, spraying water everywhere from the rain outside. Then, he looks up and flashes a blinding smile. 

"Hello everyone, I'm your new substitute teacher, Mr. Rose."

Instantly there's a clamor in the class. Shouts of where's Ms. Barnicle and people just yelling for attention fill the class. Out of the corner of my eye I see the pencil guy wrinkle his nose and I catch the words "he smells off". As I turn to him in confusion a loud CRACK sounds through the room. 

All heads whip around. The guy-Mr. Rose stands there, fist against the white board and huge crack it where he punched it. 

"Well, guess I have your attention now. Let's proceed shall we, today is a very important class." He grins jovially as if everything is okay. Is this guy kidding? He thinks he can create a huge crack in our white board and pretend as if nothing happened? But no one says anything. We've all seen what he's capable of.

Mr. Rose picks up a dry erase marker and opens it. Then, pressing down hard enough to make everyone in the class wince at the screech, he writes something on the board in big all capital letters. FARYTALES. Oh boy.

"Can someone please tell me what this is?" He asks the class. 

No one answers.

"Anyone?" He asks, and now there's an edge to his voice. 

No one is willing to volunteer. One minute. Then two. Then, finally a hand goes up. It's the boy from before.

"Yes, you in the gray shirt." Mr. Rose says pleased to have someone volunteer. 

He stands up hesitantly, clearly there's something bothering him. 

"Fairy tales are..."

"Yes?"

"Analogies to real life. Like in Little Red Riding Hood."

I feel my blood run cold, dreading what he is going to say next.

"Little Red Riding Hood teaches the morales listen to your parents and don't blindly trust."

I feel nauseous. Listen to your parents. Don't blindly trust.

"That's not true!" Everyone in the classroom whips their heads towards the person who spoke. Then, I numbly realize it was me.

Mr. Rose blinks in surprise but doesn't look mad. "Care to explain Miss...?

"Maya." I reply. "And I disagree. Fairytales are merely an outlet for an author's creativity. They are not real."

"I didn't say they were." The boy continues to argue. "I just said they were analogies-"

"They're not."

The vehemence in my tone takes everyone by surprise. No one expects this quiet girl who never talks to suddenly argue like this.

I look into the boy's eyes. There is only confusion there, wondering why I'm taking this so personally.

"Forget it." I say, turning my back. "I'm going to the restroom."

Then I walk out of the room. No one stops me. Although, I do catch sight of Mr. Rose with a strange look in his eyes.

You know the stories you always read, of heroes saving kingdoms and princesses with the kindness to attract animals? Well, it's all a lie. ALL OF IT. And I, got to find that out the hard way. And the hard way...was excruciatingly painful and left me dead literally. But not for long. Instead of dying and going to hell as was probably where I was going considering my luck, I was reincarnated. In a world that doesn't even believe in magic, can you believe that? But, I should have known I wasn't that lucky.  Unfortunately, it seems I am not as far away from my old world as I thought I was. Oh great.

Gu Nianzhi could feel the weight of the five minutes of silence she endured inside the car. She was so shocked, she almost trembled when Huo Shaoheng suddenly spoke. Huo Shaoheng noticed the obvious act of fear, and it also meant something different to him. He silently turned away to look out the window. "Go shower first." His temple was slightly swollen, and the angle of his chin was particularly square. He had used a commanding tone that came naturally from a domineering person.
Pouting, she glanced at Huo Shaoheng from the corner of her eye to mentally chastise him. Huo Shaoheng happened to turn around to see her side eye and naturally alluring looks, and his entire body instantly stiffened. Stroking her cheek with his large hand, he gently pressed down the corners of her eyes down to relax her gaze. Letting go, he looked away to the front and said quietly, "Get out."
Gu Nianzhu wanted to quickly push the door open and rush out so she could slam the door hard in Huo Shaoheng's face. She was sure he would have a priceless expression... But unfortunately, she only dared to imagine it. Huo Shaoheng's pitch-black eyes swept over her, and he didn't have to say anything for her to lose all bravado. Gu Nianzhi shifted her gaze and had her hand on the door to open it when she saw Ma Qiqi dressed up nicely and wearing a coral Phillip Lim 3.1 backpack. She was walking over to the elegant older male student with a smile, and they headed towards the little tree-lined path. Ma Qiqi was gone already? Gu Nianzhi's heart thumped, and she looked back at Huo Shaoheng to whisper, "Huo Shao, do you want to go have a seat in my dorm? It's going to take me some time to shower…"
Huo Shaoheng didn't look at her but kept his eyes straight ahead at the windshield. His voice was very stern. "No, your roommate is there. That's inconvenient."
"Qiqi just left. She went out with someone…" Gu Nianzhi murmured, "I'm alone." She finished the sentence and pushed the door open to leave. Huo Shaoheng considered it, then turned off the ignition and removed the car key before also getting out of the car. He had already locked the briefcase in the trunk. They stepped into the dorm elevator one after another. They watched the number in the elevator rise, just like their throats swallowing words nervously down. Before they knew it, they had arrived.
When the elevators opened, Gu Nianzhi glanced at Huo Shaoheng, and they walked out together. This wasn't the first time Huo Shaoheng had come to Gu Nianzhi's dorm, but because it was an afternoon on the weekend, there were barely any people in the hallways. They quietly walked through the hallway and quickly entered Gu Nianzhi and Ma Qiqi's dorm. The living room was tidied up neatly, and the door to Ma Qiqi's room was ajar. With one look they could tell it was empty, and it was evidence of how hastily she had left without even remembering to lock the door. Huo Shaoheng's sharp eyes swept over Ma Qiqi's side like he was determining if anyone was inside the room. Gu Nianzhi noticed it and held back a giggle. "She really did leave. One of our older classmates is pursuing her, and I saw them walk towards the south entrance."
Huo Shaoheng looked away and closed the door to the hallway before they walked into Gu Nianzhi's room together. Gu Nianzhi closed the door and took out a bottle of spring water from the mini-fridge. "Huo Shao, you can have a seat, and I'll be ready soon." She went to the closet to get a change of clothes and was about to turn to the bathroom when the room suddenly dimmed. Turning back, she saw Huo Shaoheng already standing in front of the window and closing the drapes. Biting her lower lip, Gu Nianzhi's heart hammered wildly. She understood what Huo Shaoheng was implying, and she also wanted it a bit, too, but this was her dorm, so she felt a little shy…
Huo Shaoheng closed the drapes but didn't do anything else. Standing before the window with his arms crossed, the long drapes in front of the French windows trembled slightly from his movements. Gu Nianzhi finally noticed that Huo Shaoheng was wearing casual clothes including a well-fitting white shirt with sleeves rolled up to his elbow paired with pants and a fine quality calfskin belt. It accentuated his incredibly long legs. Gu Nianzhi found her face getting a bit hot. She had never been able to resist Huo Shaoheng's handsomeness... Quickly averting her eyes, she dashed into the bathroom with a bundle of clothes.
Huo Shaoheng didn't even look at her but was observing the entire room. He had last come here when the semester first began, and he had helped her change her mattress as well as get some supplies. Looking at the dorm room after a few months had passed, it was no longer empty like before. The sound of splattering water could be heard from the bathroom, and he finally looked in that direction. She was showering inside… Huo Shaoheng swallowed but maintained a stiff posture and recalled the purpose of today's visit. He had originally brought the information over to let Gu Nianzhi see it, so she could feel reassured, but he had ended up running into her playing tennis with He Zhichu. Although they weren't alone because Ma Qiqi there as well, and he also knew nothing would happen, even if they were alone together, he still changed his mind from earlier. Remembering Gu Nianzhi's smiling face, hot and cold behavior, and little tantrums, Huo Shaoheng sighed heavily in his mind. She was truly just a child. It was the first time he felt what he was doing was very beastly…

Gu Nianzhi finished showering in 15 minutes and came out with her hair still wet. She used a large towel to dry her hair as she walked out of the bathroom and saw that Huo Shaoheng was still standing still in front of the window. "Huo Shao, sit down. Why are you standing?" Gu Nianzhi pointed to a round, plush chair by the window.
Huo Shaoheng looked down at her ivory skin that was so tender and soft. Because she happened to come right out of the bathroom, her skin looked even more plump, like a ripe lychee. The heat rose in his abdomen, but he controlled himself. He was already very beastly and couldn't continue indulging. "Are you done getting ready now? Let's go if you're done, so you're not making your Professor He wait too long." Huo Shaoheng's hand itched for a cigarette, but this was Gu Nianzhi's dorm, so he couldn't smoke.
Gu Nianzhi nodded. "We'll go after I dry my hair." She sat down at the vanity in front of the window and used the blow dryer on her hair. Huo Shaoheng was standing right beside the vanity and glanced at her from the corners of his eyes for a bit. He quickly appeared behind her to hug her from the back. Scorching kisses fell on her neck, and he sucked very hard. He carried a unique masculine scent that intoxicated her and made her weak in the knees. Gu Nianzhi struggled desperately. "Don't kiss my neck… It'll leave marks…"
"Ok." Huo Shaoheng replied fluidly as he yanked apart her clothes to kiss her shoulder blades. Gu Nianzhi not only had weak knees but also couldn't balance anymore. However, Huo Shaoheng let go of her after she struggled for only a little bit. He fixed her clothes and did up all the buttons. Gu Nianzhi looked down at Huo Shaoheng's slim and long fingers moving around her chest. She was secretly frustrated he wasn't continuing things. How long had it been since they were last intimate? Men had certain needs, and as Huo Shaoheng's official girlfriend, Gu Niaznhi didn't want to see him hold himself back. Reaching out, she gently caressed Huo Shaoheng's exposed collarbones, "Huo Shao, you look so good in this white dress shirt…"
Swallowing hard, Huo Shaoheng almost couldn't stop himself from taking her right there and then. But he controlled himself and grabbed Gu Nianzhi's seductive hand with a gentle smile. "Don't fuss, aren't you hungry?"
As soon as he spoke, Gu Nianzhi's stomach growled as if on cue, and the sound was especially loud in the quiet dorm. All the previous lust was dispelled. Gu Nianzhi cursed her body for not being able to withstand hunger. How silly! Why did it have to growl!?
Seeing Gu Nianzhi's embittered expression, Huo Shaoheng was extremely flattered. Bending over, he whispered in her ear, "I'll feed your stomach first, then take you back to my apartment and feed you right here…" Huo Shaoheng's hand drifted around her body, moving down from her stomach and stopping for an instant. Gu Nianzhi had thought she was already familiar with it all but still blushed innocently from Huo Shaoheng's teasing. She squeezed his shoulders tightly, her body so stiff it was like she was sitting on his hand…
