Alex didn't stop once he started, no matter how much Mr. Crestfall yelled. Alex quieted the audience again, which they did immediately. They didn't want to miss anything. Alex lifted a police report into the air. "This is the police report from the wreck. The driver of the truck that struck my daughter's car belongs to a Mr. Kitt Williams. The same man that shot me," He added before glancing at Mr. Crestfall.

Alex set the files down and crossed his arms lightly, "You're right. Documents can be forged. That's why I even brought audio evidence." Alex pulled out the cell phone from his pocket holding it out. "Mrs. Crestfall, My mother-in-law, brought me this. She didn't like the way Mr. Crestfall was treating her daughter and decided to record every phone call or conversation about the manner." Alex put the phone near the microphone and pushed play, letting the people hear it. The voice was definitely Mr. Crestfalls. On one recording it had Mr. Crestfall yelling about how Kaia returned. Then the other was him ordering the hit on Alexa.

The crowd became an uproar, some even yelling at Mr. Crestfall saying he was a monster. Alex looked at the people of the audience, "We will hand out a set of the documents to each media and newspaper team in the audience. My assistants will pass them out," He said hearing a shrill from the crowd.

Mr. Crestfall broke away from the security guards and went to attack Alex. Without changing his expression, Alex dodged his attack before grabbing his arm and kicking his legs off from under him. Mr. Crestfall landed on his back with a grumble. The security took him back in custody. Alex dusted his hands off as if he was handling trash before looking at the people. "Thank you for attending this event. I must return to my wife and daughter," He turned to leave. 

Mr. Crestfall called out, "Sabor. Why didn't you just take me out?"He said only to where Alex could hear him. Alex didn't even look at him, "I'm not rubbish. I won't stoop as low as you," He proclaimed walking from the venue. Zac went to the front to close out the event.

Mr. Crestfall was taken into custody, and a warrant of arrest was issued for Caine. Alex returned to the hospital as quick as he could. When Alex walked in, Bretton was playing for the now Semi-awake Alexa. Kaia looked up at Alex and smiled, "She awoke moments ago." Bretton stopped playing and moved away, giving Alex some room to get through.

Alex walked over to the bed leaning down lightly placing a kiss on Alexa's forehead." Hey baby girl, you had me worried," he lifted his head to look at Alexa who was silently crying. Alex frowned, "Are you okay? Are you in pain?"He asked caressing her cheek. 

Alexa didn't say anything; she just closed her eyes. Alex looked to Kaia in question, "Why isn't she speaking?" Kaia shrugged shaking her head."The pain meds are strong. She might just be tired still. Give her time," She said softly, as Alex walked over sitting next to her.

Bretton placed the keyboard back in place gathering his things. "Thanks for letting me come again. I have to go to the company; I can't slack off, "He said looking at Alex. Alex smirked, "I'll call you a car. The main entrance might be hectic still so use the secret side entrance." Bretton smiled and waved."Thanks again! I'll come again soon, "He announced before walking out.

Days went by, and Alexa was getting better and better. Because of her lung, she had to stay on oxygen. Her skin graft took well, and it looked like her burns were never there, besides a small scar on the back of her neck. 

Bretton visited every day. He came with new songs to play and some homework so she wouldn't get behind. Everything seemed great; She was moving bit by bit and interacting more. The only concern everyone had was the fact that she wasn't speaking.

Alex and Kaia began to worry, so they decided to talk to the doctors to see what to do. The doctors suggested therapy, thinking it was psychological since there was nothing wrong in or around her voice box. 

After a week and a half, the doctors decided to let Alexa go home since her lung was healing well. At this time she kept a dry erase board with her to write out her words instead of speaking. Bretton and Alexa sat on the couch in the living room doing homework for the day. 

Kaia sat in the kitchen going through Sabor Sights books, still getting everything back in order. She didn't like the feeling she had. Her gaze turned to Alexa, and she frowned lightly. Why wasn't she speaking? Kaia looked down back at the papers before stacking them up going around the counter to get dinner prepared.

Bretton finished a problem and then looked up. "Alexa… Why won't you talk?"He asked closing his book setting it to the side. Alexa looked at him then back down at her book. Bretton let out a small sigh, stretching. "How about I sing you something, Your choice," He said pointing at the piano.

Alexa nodded and picked up her board writing something down before holding the board up to him. It read, 'Do the ponies lullaby.' Bretton looked over her words before nodding. He sat at the piano and played for her while singing. When he finished the lullaby, he just played a little melody on the piano that he's been writing for a while. He kept playing even though hearing Alexa clank her marker against the board trying to get his attention. 

The more he ignored her, the more displeased Alexa became. She tried throwing a balled up piece of paper and nothing. Scowling slightly, she slammed her hands down."Bretton! Don't ignore me!"She exclaimed puffing angrily. Bretton turned at the sound of her voice. He blinked for a few seconds before smirking, "I didn't think it would actually work."

"So, did you finish going over the data?" Michael asked with a polite tone. "If so I'd like to further discuss specimen #98 in greater detail. Furthermore, I believe tests should begin as soon as possible."

Around three hours had passed since Samantha Carson had first met the subject codenamed "Mako". In that brief period of time following the encounter, Sam had taken the opportunity to go over the two days worth of data she had missed during her absence. Now fully caught up with all the crucial information, the redhead and a few of the other more experienced scientists were gathered around a large oval oak table in a room that was adjacent to the testing area. Sam sat at one end of the desk while Michael was positioned at the other and, though the two of them usually got along with each other pretty well, she could already see the clash that was about to take place between them.

"I have indeed gone over the facts and statistics," Sam responded, her tone a bit icy. She didn't mean for it to come out like that, but she could already feel the tension. "However, I already know why the subjects are still alive. Further testing isn't necessary."

"Wait wait wait." A rather old looking man with thinning grey hair stood up from his chair. "Your trying to tell me that you figured it out in 3 hours when a whole team couldnt figure it out in two days?"

"Thats right," She replied with a small smile. "I'll even happily break it down for all of you so we can all be on the same page. The key to this all obviously lies in the genes themselves, not the blood." Standing up from her seat, Sam walked to the front of the room where a dry erase board stood tall and ready for use.

For the next few minutes or so, the fiery redhead calmly broke everything she had found out while perusing through the data. Most of the scientists looked on in awe as it slowly began to make sense, like a puzzle finally beginning to come together. It was quite amazing to them how this young woman who could easily be a daughter or granddaughter to most in the room was able figure out something so complex in such a short timeframe. At the start of everything, no one had taken the young woman seriously due to her age and lack of experience, but now a sort of newfound respect began to emerge as many of them began to ask questions in very friendly and polite tones.

Everyone was getting in on the breakthrough Sam had just given. All except for one, one who kept to himself with a rather deadpan expression. Michael, a clean man who was highly regarded amongst the other scientists as a genius, stared at Sam with dark blue eyes that carried a sort of concealed rage and frustration, a look that could give other people shivers. This glare remained until one of the scientists turned to chat with him, a smile forming easily before the man could get a glimpse of his previously hostile expression.

"I hope that satisfies you," Sam said as she set down her dry erase marker. "That is why we don't need further testing to find out how they were made. With the current data we have, we can make more that are similar if not better then unit #98. Any more questions?" She didn't say it outright but everyone knew this was directed at Michael who was now giving off a sort of strained atmosphere.

"Well I think that wraps everything up." The old man who had spoken up earlier gave a small clap as he smiled. "How about we have ours-"

"Since we don't have to test for how to make more," Michael interrupted, his voice calm and casual. "How about we test them for their abilities? Since we can simply make more of them then it shouldn't be a problem to use the rest to see their physical capabilities. Wouldn't you agree....Sam?"

Sparks were almost visible as the two stared at each other, bright green and dark blue hues staring daggers at one another. Sam clenched her teeth as she shook her head, trying to keep her patience and attitude in check. Normally it was very difficult to make her angry but for some reason Michael was starting to annoy her. "You and I both know we cant do anything like that without permission from the higher ups. Besides, plans have already been made by the one whose supporting this whole operation. No one can change it, especially not us."

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN IT CANT BE-"

Michael's temper was immediately cut off by the sound of files hitting the table. A large manila folder with the words "Social Adaptations" sprawled over the front. The file was rather thin and it looked unimpressive but it still made Michael, who had stood up from his seat, clear his throat and sit back down. His large hands took the folder and carefully opened it.

"Well? What does it say Michael?" An old woman in her mid to late 50s asked after sitting in silence for a few minutes. Everyone in the room apart from Sam was immensely curious about the contents of the folder that had been lain out and they all waited with bated breath.

After a few more minutes of silence, the man put all the papers back and closed the folder. "It says that each and every remaining subject will be raised in society in order to gauge if they can blend in. We are to go on hiatus for the next 12 years while they mature and grow. We'll still get payed but 5 of us will have to take one of them in and raise them like normal. Did I get most of that right Samantha?"

Sam gave a thumbs up. "Five of you lucky people will have the honor of taking them home and raising them. Basically we're stepping out of the realm of science and into the realm of babysitting. Of course, we are required to document everything and record crucial findings which will be reviewed once the subjects have fully matured. I know this is all sudden but try to keep in mind that its part of your job."

Silence enveloped the room as the news sunk in, everyone pondering the idea of having an unknown possibly dangerous experiment living in their house. Even Sam herself was thinking along the same lines as the rest, wondering how she would ever get to watch the next season of My Hero Academia if she had to constantly watch a kid that could potentially threaten her life. To say the least, it wasnt a pleasant thought.

"I think we should let Sam have the honor of being the first to adopt one of them. She is the leader after all. She deserves it more then anyone here."

Sam cursed inwardly as her gaze once again focused on Michael, the man whose voice had just cut through the symphony of silence. She didn't know what beef he had with her but it was seriously making her mad, but it was far too late to intervene as the idea had already been planted inside everyone's head. One by one, little by litte, the scientists at the table began to agree, each person taking Michael's side as they looked on expectantly. In one fell swoop, the middle aged man had turned the tables on her and was now staring with what could only be seen as a rather smug expression.

"Fine," Sam said with a defeated sigh as she leaned against the oak table. "I'll take in unit #71. Satisfied?"

"Of course," Michael replied, his arms crossing in front of his chest. "As long as you yourself are happy with raising a child. I wonder how long you'll last."

"You must really want to get the crap beaten out of y-"

"ANDDDDDDD we're done here," said one scientist as he stood up from the table. "Lets begin the prep work for moving the subjects out of the lab. If everyone will follow me. Samantha dear, could you please follow me? I need your advice on one of the specimens."

Sam glanced at the old man and then at Michael. She had more then a few things to say to the guy, but she pushed her personal feelings aside and shifted her focus. It was quite obvious the old scientist just wanted to pull the two of them apart, anyone could tell that much. Despite knowing this though, the fiery redhead gave a small nod before walking out with the man and the rest of the group.

As soon as the thick steel door of the room had closed, Michael, who had stayed behind, clenched his pearly teeth together, his fist slamming down onto the desk. "Fuckin Uppity Smartass B*tch," He said, his face twisting with rage and disgust. "Its bad enough they named a woman as the lead scientist, but to have her be above me is even worse. She's probably sleeping with someone just to be up on top, damn sl*t!!" 

Standing up from his chair, Michael pulled out his phone. "This is a huge setback to my original plan but its fine. Twelve years gives me more then enough time to lay some groundwork. Ill make sure that ungrateful and repulsive childish dumba*s gets what she deserves."

From the beginning, since he had first started working for the Company, there had been nothing but respect and admiration for Michael. He made huge leaps on every problem he was assigned and every project he was put in charge of would make enormous breakthroughs in relatively short amounts of time. He was revered as a genius, one who could be relied on to get results. He was the best....or at least he was. This was before the woman known as Samantha Carson stepped into his life and ruined everything for him.

The ringing of the phone filled the room before it was shortly cut off. "Hello?" A deep masculine but slightly distorted voice answered.

"Boss," Michael said, lowering his voice. "There's been a change of plans."

"Oh? What sort of changes?"

Mako D. Carson wasn't born, but rather he was made. He was in fact the result of a largely successful experiment to combine human DNA with animal DNA in order to create a much stronger being. He was a hybrid, a cross between a wolf and human male.

Shortly after the experiment was successful, Mako at the age of 3 was given to a family in order to live out a life as a normal person despite him having the addition of wolf ears and tail. This was part of the experiment, where scientists would test how various outside influences and other situations would affect him and whether or not he would behave like a normal person. 

Approximately 12 years later, after gathering much data from Mako's life, armed men working for the faction of scientists were sent to kidnap Mako once again. In the ensuing struggle, the young male hybrid was killed, bringing his life to an end.

Of course, the story doesn't end there!!!!!

Coming home from class. Ui and Hayato were walking hand in hand on more deserted streets.
 
"Uh, did you ever notice that the two students transferred to our room are Fallen angels?" Hayato asked.
 
"Yes, but..." Ui seemed in conflict whether or not to say but ended up saying: "The two are from the same faction as Aunt Kyoka. I've seen them both before. They also asked me to keep it a secret from you."
 
"Who ordered?" Hayato frowned.
 
"Akeno-san, she thought this would be more fun..." Ui sighed.
 
"I see, well. You don't have to tell me you told me." Hayato had this mischievous smile: "Wouldn't it be fun if she kept thinking I don't know about them?"
 
"Even you, Hayato? Wow, so troublesome." Ui shook his head in helplessness.
 
Very quickly, the couple got to the front. And they were surprised by the person they found in the hallway of their apartment floor.
 
A very young girl, with long blond hair, flowing down her back, with a cracked fringe on her forehead and a lock coming out of the top, leaning back, and her eyes were the color green. But what surprised Hayato and Ui, was the costume she was wearing.
 
It was a dark nun outfit with light blue details, a white veil over the head with light blue details, a brown backpack hanging from the right hip and brown boots with black stripes, with an X-shaped pattern. She also wore a silver cross necklace.
 
She seemed to have noticed the presence of Hayato and Ui and smiled at them both, then she politely said in her soft, childlike voice, "Good afternoon. I am the new tenant of this building, my name is Asia Furinji, nice to meet you."
 
Although she is a nun, Ui was very polite to her too: "Good afternoon, my name is Wakana Ui."
 
"Good afternoon, since we're going to be neighbors, you can call me Izumi, or Hayato." He said it and smiled.
 
"Wakana-san and Izumi-kun, right..." She was a little shy when she communicated, but she was happy to be able to talk. She then says, "I still have to pack my luggage. It was nice meeting you both."
 
"Likewise," I said both.
 
Entering the apartment, Ui said: "Strange girl. She's a nun and didn't realize we were devils?"
 
"Maybe yes, maybe no. Anyway, she doesn't look like the other people in the church, but you shouldn't rely on outward appearance, that can be fatal." Said Hayato seriously while taking off his shoes.
 
Thinking about trusting his external appearance, Hayato felt a headache as he remembered what led to his death in his past life.
 
In his past life, he was a scientist. It all started when he found the "[Rune of Purification]" in his home depot. The rune was inside a small trunk, and when he opened the rune from inside the trunk, it came into contact with his hand and was absorbed; just as water is absorbed by a dry cloth.
 
Since then, he who didn't believe in supernatural things began to investigate and research. He was fascinated by the mysteries of the world. That's when, too, through his research, he was able to invent a potion. Used on rats, which had a five-fold increase in rat strength.
 
He was 19 when he succeeded in creating that potion. It was amazing to be able to increase the strength of a mouse five times, and after further testing, he saw that it had no side effects, it fascinated him...
 
A friend from his school, who became his assistant, also witnessed this whole miracle. Her name was Amelia Dori. She had long pink straight hair, blue eyes and a body with big curves.
 
But it wasn't the same for his assistant and "friend." She altered the potion Hayato was going to take, and the effect was that he turned into a brainless idiot with superhuman strength.
 
Amelia had already prepared everything, arresting him inside the laboratory, she had already called the police, so minutes later, the police showed up.
 
Hayato, although he had become an irrational "beast", he could see everything that was happening but had no control over his body. Also, when the [Rune of Purification] came into effect, it was already too late.
 
He had already aggressively attacked the cops and was shot in response. He still remembers the damn smile Amelia made when she watched him die.

Just thinking about his past life, it made Hayato get severe headaches and anger. He took a deep breath and left those thoughts aside.
 
"What do you hear, Hayato?" Ui worried, she asked. She said, "You look pale, let's sit on the couch and get some rest."
 
"It's no big deal, I just remembered something unpleasant," Hayato said with a forced smile.
 
Seeing this, Ui felt a tightness in her heart. She says, "At least sit down and rest."
 
"Okay." Hayato agreed.

Mia really liked her presents. She almost burst into tears. But unfortunately, I had to ruin the moment and remind her of what every kid dreads.

School.

Man fuck school! Oh! Linear equations, trigonometry, algebra, science, and all that useless shit!

I know a lot of people say that but c'mon! When am I gonna use that!? How about something useful!? I can imagine the job interviews!

Oh, no I don't know anything about the job but I do know how to find X!

Like what to do when a health crisis arises. Or I'm stuck somewhere and can't get out! Or what to do when adulthood approaches! God, they're basically telling us, oh here's information that's over ninety percent useless.

Oh, you're eighteen, you haven't dropped out, or killed yourself due to ignored bullying, and you actually graduated but can't find a job with the information you know!

Oh, that's too bad, sorry but go eat shit, you're an adult now, and we expect you to take care of yourself even though we never taught you how! Now use your mediocre education to get into a pricey college, that will put you in debt for the majority of your life!


Just tell us to go stick a broom up our ass why don't ya.

*Oof* My rant on the school system was cut short by Mia throwing a pillow at my face.

"Stop thinking about how useless school is and get dressed!" She exclaimed.


When the hell did she get up!?

Mia glared at me, but because of her puppy-like features, it was really cute.

I stifled a laugh and nodded before standing up and heading to the dresser.

It seems Mia already had her clothes picked out. I could tell she was feeling happy based on her outfit choice.

She wore light pink shorts with suspenders, a long-sleeved white shirt, a cropped light pink hoodie, knee-high light pink socks, light pink sneakers, and a shitload of matching pink hair accessories.

Meanwhile, I just put on some slightly ripped skinny jeans, a baggy black long-sleeved shirt, black and white sneakers, and put my hair in a low ponytail.

I chuckled as Mia made sure to show off her necklace and looked at me to do the same.

I couldn't resist those puppy eyes so I did the same.

After gathering all our stuff we finally set off for he-, I mean school.


(A Few Minutes Later)


We arrived at the huge torn down building with kids and teens swarming in.

We gave each other the 'Let's get this done' look, before heading in already annoyed.

Once we got in we could already feel the stares and the following whispers.


Some about how trashy we were and baseless rumors. Mostly said by the future thots, I mean bitches, I mean girls! Yeah, that's what I meant.

While the others were mostly horny guys, talking about which one of us they'd rather do and all kinds of sexual shit. 

Though I'm pretty sure half of them are joining in because they feel like they have to. While the others want to stay in Narnia.


For fuck's sake, you are fourteen! Calm down! Or grow some balls! But if they did grow balls they would immediately be kicked back inside their bodies by their new bullies. So I can't really blame them, but I'm still gonna.

*Ugh* I hate this place. But what I hate even more is that Mia and I have first period apart.

I have Science while Mia has Science with a different teacher.


I realized we had arrived at my classroom and I felt my heart twinge. Mia looked up at me with a knowing look and we both sighed.

She gave me a quick hug and I patted her head in return. She let go of me and started walking in the direction of her class.

She gave one more sorrowful wave before hightailing it to her class.

You'd think we're going to leave each other forever. I love it.

I stared at the bronze doorknob and gripped it tightly. *Sigh!*

I pushed the door in and was attacked with the sound of babbling of all the other kids or teens my age.

When I came in everyone turned to me and immediately started snickering.

They did something to my desk, just watch.

I walked over to my reserved seat and WHAT. A. SURPRISE. Note the sarcasm.

There are drawings of dicks, tits, and curse words. This wouldn't have happened if we had joint tables.

The snickering grew louder as I stared at it.

I wiped my finger on it and, yep it's Sharpie.


I looked at the clock at the front of the class.
I got about five minutes.

I walked over to the whiteboard and grabbed a dry erase marker and the whiteboard eraser.

I could see the confused looks on their faces as I walked back to my desk.

I took the dry erase marker and colored over the Sharpie drawings. Then I took the eraser and erased both the Sharpie and dry erase marker.

I'm glad this lifehack doesn't just work on whiteboards.

I clicked the top back onto the marker and placed both it and the eraser back on the board. I scurried back over to my seat and sat down just in time for the head bitch-, I mean teacher! The teacher to come in and plop her sagging ass in her chair.

What? I called her teacher, that's the maximum amount of respect I'm gonna give er'.

I took out my textbook and ignored the gaping oafs who couldn't believe what just happened.

Class went by normally. Except that there were fewer spitballs and other shit, thrown at my head.

Once the bell rang, everyone quickly scrambled to shove their stuff into their bags and go quickly out the door.

I calmly put my stuff in my bag and slowly stood up and got ready to leave.

"Hannah, " Oh damn it here we go, " Come here, please." The teacher called me.

I tried so hard not to roll my eyes and strode over to her nice and composed.

Once I got to her desk she immediately said, " I heard you wrote on your desk. You will come to school on Saturday for detention."

She didn't even look up from her papers. 

It would be useless to try and argue with her so I just nodded and went for the door. 

"You shouldn't be so passive. You won't get anywhere in life like that." She uttered one more sentence

*Scoff* She's just trying to encourage me to fight back even though she knows I'll be punished.

Bitch.

I give her a small smile and another nod before I pull the door open. 

One hour.

That was how long this piss pit took to drain the happiness from my body. If I ever make it rich I will burn this place to the ground and rebuild it.

Once I closed the doof behind me, guess who came up with a big hug to take all my negative things away.

It should be obvious who it by now. Mia clasped her arms around my waist and snuggled her head against me.

We could both hear the not so silent jeers and insults from everyone else but we couldn't give a rat's ass.

"C'mon let's go we'll be late." She chimed.

One of the only semi-decent things about this place is that aside from first period, Mia and I have all our other classes together.

To avoid droning on, we then had history, French, and then finally we got to eat lunch.

We walked into the cafeteria and the same thing happened here as what happened in the hallway.

Whispering, hecklers, and yadda, yadda.

I protected Mia from any food that was thrown at us, the cuteness of her outfit must remain unscathed.

We said hi to lunch ladies, yes we're on good terms with the lunch ladies, and grab our trays that have... Uh?

Mashed potatoes? Macaroni? Guacamole? All I know is that it's mushy, for now, and has a bunch of different colors.

The lunch ladies gave us a sorry look. They just serve the shit, they don't really make it. I feel bad for them.

We, in turn, gave them an understanding nod.

We finally got down in a table in the corner that's close to the trash cans. It's not that bad really. We're also on good terms with the janitors so they usually spray or put some air freshener down.

And put a little extra effort into cleaning our little corner. It's actually quite cozy and serene. The other tables aren't close enough for us to hear or throw food at us.

And it's the only place in her that doesn't smell like sweat and vomit.

We began to dig into the-, the-, yeah, I still don't have a clue what this shit is.

It didn't taste half bad though.

"Brianna!"

"Brianna, what's wrong!?"

We heard a commotion nearby but we couldn't care less. If we finished early then we can head to P.E sooner.

My name is Hannah and I have a twin sister named Mia. Sorry, it's not the most glamorous introduction but her goes nothing.

You see life hasn't exactly been kind to either of us. Our parents hated and abandoned us. We’re poor and we get bullied A LOT at school. But we both have each other and that's enough for us. So we spent almost all our time together and we overcame all things that came our way.

But as luck would have it we were cornered on a bridge by a group of pricks. Nothing we haven't handled before but this time they pulled out knives. 

We had to escape so in a split-second decision we jumped off the bridge into the freezing water. 

We both thought we'd die but hey, it was better than being stabbed. We couldn't afford any hospital bills if we lived, so yeah, this seemed like the best option.

Everything went black and I thought that was the end.

But suddenly I could feel my body again.

Wait! Why does my skin feel so weird? What happened to my legs? Are these hooves?

I had become a horse?

No wait this bump on my head, a horn?

I had become a unicorn?

You know what? No, no, no, no! I am not going to be a unicorn. A slug, a snail, a monkey, hell I would even be a banana. Not some rainbow riding unicorn.

I was ready to give up then and there. But I then realized my sister had come along on my little transmigration. Except she was a bicorn. Basically a unicorn but with two horns.

So I decided to suck it up and continue living happily with my sister.

But oh fate just loves to screw with me.

It turns out that this world is really dangerous! It had monsters, beasts, dragons, dungeons, human hunters, elves, beastmen!

To make matters worse unicorns and bicorns are one of the weakest creatures to ever walk in this world. We can run fast but that's pretty much it. Some of us can use magic and talk and if we're really desperate for their lives we might charge but that's it.

The only way we survived is by traveling in a pack or herd if you will and grazing in the most remote of locations. You know those pictures of unicorns quietly grazing in a meadow with a waterfall and a rainbow going across the big blue sky.

Yeah, we only hang there so we don't die and be skinned and have our horns ripped out our skulls.

No big deal, we can handle it.


But the almighty fate or luck or whatever you wanna f*****g call it struck again. Our parents seemed to have crossed over into this world as well. Because not only do they hate us our entire herd does so we were kicked out.

We both thought we would die again but I ended up killing a small rabbit and this popped into my head.

Ok as it turns out me and my sister both have a cheat system and skills.

He weiwei watched patriach Yu and his bodyguards backs. she scoffed, "I have scenes today and the banquet party was tonight so anything happens, call my brothers. after I complete all of my scenes, I will settle what should be settled long ago"  

she give her word and board the car waiting for her with Liu  zi.

Liu zi glanced at He weiwei who was quiet after they boarded the car. her tired expression clearly visible on her face. "you can't stay like this, you know"

He weiwei smiled coldly. the moment her grandfather throw all the dirty works on her, she didn't even know what to do. instead of her brothers, her grandfather  chose her. why? because he didn't want her only granddaughter was defenseless, hiding under her family's wings. "my hands are dirty with countless of people's blood. I can't erase that fact even if I want to change"

"then don't let it hold you accountable for that. you have your own life, opinions to choose from and which way you want to walk in. don't let this hide you from everyone. you are a joyful person, your appearance didn't suited with this kind of environment actually" Liu zi laughed.

He weiwei turned her head. "grandfather is someone I respected the most. but my patience is running dry"

liu zi pursed his lips. his eyes widened. "what-what do you-"

"sometimes I want to kill him for sending me to a cruel place. I don't have a childhood memories and I wasn't even gone to school back then. I'm a girl who want to make friends, a girl that was sent away just because she was fragile and meek" He weiwei cut in his words. her eyes was murderous and her lips curled into a smile that Liu zi seen whenever she was having fun playing around with someone's stupid acts.

"Liu zi, will you still follow me even if I killed so many people?" He weiwei glanced at the man who was calm and composed after a split of second.

liu zi smile, "Mistress, almost a decade ago, I pledged to protect you, serve you and promised that I will not betray you. do you think I forget what I have said? even until now,  I will always follow you"

A creek comes from behind and Aunt Lola approaches

"Viv, give sweet Lanie a break, you have this poor child shaking in her boots everyday." Aunt Lola says softly

I grab a handful of cookies from the plate on the counter and run upstairs to my room.

Just like the raven, the crow signifies rebirth, the mystery of creation, healing, destiny, renewal, intelligence, adaptability, recovery, reflection, and even an omen for death. They are generally known as spirit guides with the ability to go beyond the illusions of inner and outer, under and over, and forward and backward in worlds unseen by mortals eyes. As guides, crows aid lost souls by helping them cross through transitions smoothly by casting light into the darkness that shadows over them. It's also believed that the crow had the power to manipulate its physical appearance making some consider them to be tricksters and manipulative little creatures. Even their color is a representation in itself being of what has not taken form yet, creation, and possibly even the void.
It remains unclear as to why Death had left, but her dearest companion Crow willingly filled her place for the time being until she returned. She knew of his power and saw potential, thus for years, she mentored him in what she did. The job was simple in his mind and being the god of shadows he was capable of doing numerous tasks at once. His only desire was to fulfill the responsibilities of Death and prove himself worthy; to belong. So, to help him achieve this goal, 300 reapers were created by the hands of Crow. They were his own version of Death's reapers; appearing human but were nothing close or anything at all alive. They wore dark cloaks, sometimes modern clothing, with masks to hid a horrid set of teeth that made up their mouths. Their eyes are nothing but piercing silver with dark pupils, but they look more glass-like than actually living eyes. Black streaks stain the pale flesh under those eyes as if their tears burned black into their skin. Only the dead or dying can see them. Overtime Cow furthered modifying his experiments, finding ways to make them more sufficient. Then he created something else entirely separate from a reaper. It was something he imagined would be faster and more delicate toward the young who had died. He was wrong, so very, very wrong and now a plague of over a hundred false creations are now roaming across the Earth, living among humanity but at least trapped in a single realm. He had made sure of that. To rid the Earth of these wicked creations, the god of shadows handpicked his most loyal creations, the reapers, to track down and erase the plague of nightmares before they are able to spread.
"Miss Neureiter!"

I jolt awake from the shout of an angry voice and find my science teacher glaring at me. I can feel the tension in the air thicken between him and me, not to mention all the eyes in the room currently focused on me.

"Y-yes?" I grimace, now realizing I had fallen asleep at my desk...again.

"Have you been listing to anything I've said?" He asks. The harshness in his voice puts me on the spot, and I can't help the lie that all too quickly runs past my mouth.

"Of course I have!" As if it came naturally, I feel the corner of my lips pull at the thought of smiling, but I do my best to conceal it as I continue, "why else would I be here?"

Not a sliver of amusement can be seen in Mr. Wilson's eye's but he looks as if he is holding back his tongue. He adjusts his jaw before walking up to the blackboard. Suddenly I can feel a knot forming like a pit in my stomach. He picks up a piece of chalk and proceeds back over to where I'm sitting.

"Alright then, If you have been listening, go ahead and finish the equation up on the board." With that said, he places the chalk on top of my books and crosses his arms, silently waiting for a response.

I stare down at the piece of chalk silently cursing at myself. Of course, I can't come up with a good line to get myself out of this situation. I'm silent for so long I almost forgot what he said or what I'm supposed to be doing. 

"Miss Neureiter," I shoot him a sudden glance, and just like that, I remember why everything seemed so quiet. His brows narrow, "the board?"

I blinked twice, "hmm? Oh-yea. Mmm no, not really feeling up to it."

"This isn't a choice, Ravenna. I'm telling you to finish it."

I flinch at the sound of hearing that stupid name, especially coming from him. "This is a free country. You can't force me to do anything I don't want to do." Why do I do this to myself?

Mr. Wilson is clearly irritated with me but continues to push anyway, "Can you at least tell us what today's lesson is about?"

Now I can really feel the tension in the room practically strangling me at this point. Why can't I just keep my mouth shut? It shouldn't be so hard. My classmates are silently staring at me, but with a hasty glance around the room, I catch their eyes whispering to one another. I can only guess what each and every one of these asshats thought of me. I was never a class favorite. Not wanting to look at anyone else, I avoid all eye contact but the teachers. I might as well stare him down while I'm already this far in the shit hole today.

Taking a deep breath, I pick up the piece of chalk and forcefully hand it back to Mr. Wilson. I look him dead in the eyes and state, "I can't, and I won't so take it back."

Gradually he takes the chalk from my hand with his brow raised, but I can tell he isn't finished with me. "And why is that, Miss Nueriter?"

I can't, alright? I fell asleep in class again. I'm sorry for wasting your time, blah, blah, blah-which is what I intended to say out loud. Unfortunately, I am forever cursed with a sarcastic mouth.

"I can't because fuck you, that's why. Are we done now?" I've always found it irritating talking with the teachers here. A lot of them are assholes, and actually, this whole town is made up of nothing but assholes. Why do I need to be polite again?

"I beg your pardon?" Why act so shocked? It's not the first time I've said fuck and It probably won't be the last. 

"Karma has big teeth. I hope it bites you in the ass. Care to hear more?" Just stop, Raven. You're just digging a deeper grave. Though the look on his face almost gets me to laugh.

But just like everyone else, Mr. Wilson doesn't take my sarcasm as something to laugh about. In truth, I was hoping to be sent out of the classroom because every part of me desperately wanted to bolt out the door. Hell, I might just do it. However, today is not my day.

"Detention, Saturday from 1 to 4 am right here in this classroom. Continue your little act and I'll double that time. Are we clear?" His threat was just as clear as his expression, so I fall silent with the rest of the room. "Now pay attention."

Mr. Wilson grabs the chalk from my desk, walks back up to the blackboard, and continues the lesson. Despite a lingering need to flee from this hell, I don't move or say another word. Even with their eyes still watching me, I keep my head down and wait for the day to be over already.

When the bell rings, I shot up from my desk with my books already collected in my arms not waiting a second longer to rush out of the classroom. As the hallways began flooding with other students, I avoid eye contact and rush passed everyone to get to my locker. I shove what I needed into my backpack before lifting it from the locker's hook. Swinging the bag over my shoulder, I slam the door shut and take off running down the steps to the ground floor. Grey clouds blanket the sky with light rain as I leave the building.

"Fan-fucking-tastic!" I shout at the sky. Just great, fucking great. It's days like this where I actually wish I could take the bus, or at least have my damn stepmother pick me up. It's not like I can do anything about it now, and I'm definitely not going to wait for the rain to stop. I can't stand another second near this place. I pull up my hood and grip hard onto the shoulder strap of my backpack. Taking a quick look around the parking lot, I see a few cars leaving. Once the last car left I make a beeline down the road. I get as far as the main street before stopping abruptly to catch my breath. I let my backpack slide off my shoulder not caring the slightest about it getting soaked in the mud. I lean against one of the four pine trees lined up in front of a grey house with green trim. With each sharp breath, I mentally mutter, I should work out more, this is ridiculous. I'm such a pathetic mess.

I wipe my face with both hands and brought my attention up beyond the trees. The sky had grown a bit darker since I left and the rain has transferred to a complete downpour. Too bad I didn't bring an umbrella with me. On the bright side, it's only me getting soaked and not my drawing books or iPod. I wish I knew the time though. 

I stand instantly to the sound of something scraping along the concrete. It only lasted a few seconds though, but it sounded close. I turn to look across the road while not really expecting to see anything to which I didn't. I almost shrug it off like everything else that's happened today, but then I hear the same sound only this time coming from behind me. It was short just like the first, and I jump away from the tree quickly looking behind me. I'm sure I heard it. I'm positive something is there, but nothing.

"What the hell?" I mutter and instantly reach for my backpack still on the ground. Maybe it was nothing. Or maybe I'll get attacked by some crazy butcher and left to rot on the side of the road. I grunt at the thought, that's crazy. I doubt anyone would even care about that. It's nothing but my ears playing tricks on me. 

I turn away from the tree and start jogging down the main street again. Upon crossing the road, I hear what sounded like footsteps trailing behind me. Instantly I glance over my shoulder while at the same time slowing down. I stop walking. No one is there. I scan around the now darkened street, but even with the light from the lamp posts, I can't see anyone through the rain. I'm not going crazy, I tell myself. I know I heard those footsteps. It can't just be in my head.

My heart pounds hard against my chest, but I try to stay calm and continue walking. This time I listen carefully for the footsteps through the rain, while looking ahead and telling myself, it's just one more block. I'm not crazy. I'm not hearing things- and then, the footsteps start again. The pounding in my chest doubles. My grip on the strap tightens as I try my best not to panic. Someone is following me, and I'm not sure what is worse, not knowing who is behind me or daring myself to look. I'm actually too terrified to even glance over my shoulder again. What if they fallow me home and wait until I fall asleep to venture inside, and kill me? Shit, should I even go home?

The sound of their footsteps slowly began to rhythm my own, but they never sound too far or too close, as if they were keeping an exact distance from me. I'm so focused on listening to whoever it was behind me that I walk past my own road.

God damn it! This is how I die, isn't it? Can't even pay attention to my own fucking surroundings! I'm such an idiot!

When I hear the scraping of metal against concrete, I thought my body was about to jump out of my skin. I bolt through the yard of an off-white house with no real sense of direction other than blind luck. I run straight into the greenhouse beside the home and force open the door to the other side. Throwing my bag over the fence first I clamber over myself. Landing on my feet, I come face to face with the road to my street along with a figure standing on the other side of it. To say I'm stunned would be an understatement. Whoever the figure is, they're shadowed over by a large tree surrounded by tall shrubs along with the pouring rain. I can just make out the outline of the figure and something else on their face that is glowing or looks reflective before the sound of rustling from over the fence startles me out of hesitation. I bolt the entire way up the road without looking back. The fear of being chased by an unknown force sets me at my doorstep, pounding at a locked door. 

"Alice!" I bang on the door while shouting for my step-sister, who in all honestly probably locked it intentionally. I wait for only a second before practically screaming her name just in case she was blasting music in her ears. I hope she goes deaf, that ungrateful bitch.

"Alice! For fuck's sake open the god damn door-" I stumble forward as the door suddenly throws open. If it wasn't for Alice being there as a barrier I would have hit the floor face first.

"Gah! Get the hell off of me!" Alice shoves me away before narrowing her eyes at me. "What the hell Rava? You're soaking wet!"

The way she expresses the words 'soaking wet' sounds a lot more like filthy or diseased ridden. At least it seemed that way to me. I can hear laughter and cheering going on in the background, coming from the living room. If I had to guess, Alice has 'company' over knowing damn well Melody, my stepmother, being her biological mother, would throw a fit. And another guess, Melody is working late tonight again, which would explain the crowd of guys huddled in the living room. I can practically taste the alcohol in the air. Disgusting pricks.

Alice lets out an irritated and overly exaggerated sigh, breaking me from my thoughts as she backs away a few feet complaining, "Now I have to change clothes. Thanks a lot!" In my defense, her clothes were already ruined, to begin with, if barely enough fabric were covering your skin even counts as clothing. Looks like her choice in style is hanging on by just a thread.

I roll my eyes out of habit, "Oh, I'm sorry. I should have thought twice before letting the rain completely drench me as I had to run all the way here! While I'm at it, I should have learned how to pick open locked doors since I can't depend on a deaf whore to open the fucking door for me."

"The fuck did you call me?"

As if pretending to care, I place my hand over my heart and gasp, "Oh, did I say whore? They get paid for their line of work. I meant slut."

"You're lucky I didn't just leave your ass out there to freeze." She shoots back.

"Oh lucky me. And don't call me Rava. I hate being called that."

Disgusted, she pulls herself away from the room almost muttering the words, "whatever, freak," before entering the laundry room.

I should call Melody about this, but there are only two phones in the house not counting Alice's own cell, and she probably hid them. That's what she did last time I threatened to call Melody, and she proceeded to lock me in the downstairs laundry room for fucking five hours until the party was over. I'd rather not relive that bullshit, no matter how irritating she is. So I pick up my bag and walk upstairs pretending nothing is going on, and everything is sunshine and daisies.

Upon opening my bedroom door, a black fluffy cat with a bobbed tail approaches me. Large paws bat at my feet playfully as I struggle to make it over to my bed without stepping on her. Her hyper personality always makes me laugh. At least someone here is happy to see me.

"Hey, Scaraneta," I chuckle softly while brushing a hand through her thick fur. Dropping my bag onto the floor, I take everything out knowing well that the books are wet. They're school books, but I don't really bother to lay them out to dry. Instead, I just threw them onto the floor and strip out of my clothes to put on something preferably dry and comfortable. Scaraneta climbs onto the bed and watches me contently as I move from one side of the room to the other. I glance her way while putting on a long t-shirt, seeing her all sprawled out on her backside. I grin.

"At least one of us had a good day, hmm? You know, If I could wish for anything, I'd wish to be a cat. Then I could avoid people all day and sleep." I groan at the sudden sharp pain at the back of my neck. Scaraneta chatters at me and the sound makes me laugh.

"I'm fine. My neck just hurts, that's all. I'll be right back." Gathering my wet clothes, I head over to the bathroom, and one by one drop them down the laundry shoot, leaving my hoody for last. I stare at it, debating on if I should sleep without it tonight. I could go downstairs and use the dryer and simply wait for my hoodie to dry, but do I really want to go downstairs right now?

I walk over to the stairs to listen to the party going on down below. The TV is on in the living room. I guess I hadn't noticed that before. They must be watching a football game. I grimace and slump my shoulders. 

"It's not worth it," I sigh.

I decide to keep my hoodie with me tonight and skip dinner. For all I know, Melody might not be back until midnight, possibly even 2 a.m. So there's no point in staying up tonight and waiting for her to come home. I crawl into my bed once the lights are shut off and curl up with my hoodie. Scaraneta instantly joins me and makes herself comfortable besides my right arm closest to my face. Her deep purring comforts me enough to fall asleep.

Cacha went to work on monday. She was  a little bit lost as she was only by her self. she used to with his present.  her memory of him waiting for her outside her place, how they chatted happily while walking and waiting for the bus kept flashing back. She shook her head  and reminded her self to forget about him.

She did not saw Keinichi in the office that day.  Keinichi had to go to the project site for urgent matter. she was relief  but sad on the same time.  She was glad he was not there. Otherwise, she did not know how to interact with him as she could not forget him yet. But She was also sad because she missed him very much.

Cacha was to preoccupied with her feeling until she did not realised how  the female behavior was changed. They  gave a nod to her and smiled a her. Cacha sat alone on the dinning room and had her lunch
"Lynn, how was you night with that hot guy ?"
"he is a jerk. He did not show his face at all"
"Really ?"
"Yes, I waited for him this morning but he was no where to see"
"I heard he went to the project  side today"
"Don't you think if he deliberately did it"

Cacha was stunned. She remembered that the girl was the one that asked Keinichi to go out. "Oniichan did not come" She asked her self and smiled
"But what does it  nothong to do with me.  Why do I have to be happy" Cacha reminded her self.
 "Hey Charlene, can I sit here" a man sat in front of her.
"Of course" 
"I am John. I work next door. I am from Melbourne" 
"Nice to meet you"
The guy kept talking to her until she finished her lunch.

She went home very late that day. She left her office on time but she did not go home straighy away, she  walked to few place where  she and Keinichi  often came.  Once she was home, she saw the paper bag on the coffee table. She just remembed that it was prepared by Madam NG, Alices' mother for Keinichi. She put a sticky note on it before she Knocked his door and just left it in front of his door.

Keinichi arrived home late as well. He was startled to see a paper bag in front his door. He saw took the sticky note that was put on  the top 'It's from my sister in law's mother. Just throw they away if you don't want it'.
He sneered bitterly and stared at her door. He had an urge to talk to her but it was already late.

On Tuesday, Cacha  was a little bit better than the day before. She was still sad but  not as bad as before. She did not see Keinichi that day either. But she did not put any effort to find out where he was "it's for the better" She told her self as  she did her best to erase him little by little.  

it was not easy process. She could not erase him from her  even she had more friends now.  The news about her and Keinichi were just a family friends was spread like fire engulf dry wood, nearly every one were aware of that. It gave fresh hope to the men who fancied her. Yesterday she knew John. Today, she knew Kieran, Mosses and Harry.

It was early night, Cacha  got off from the bus and walked to her place when she saw him  standing on near the park. Keinichi had meeting with building contractor this morning to discuss about the problem on the project side.   He went back home after that and intentionally waited for her there.
Cacha just walked pass him witjout saying anything pretending not see him.

"Cacha" he called her and clutched her wrist.
"Let go my hand" She said coldly.
"Sorry, I did not go to that woman party"
"I don't think it's appropriate for you to tell me. I have nothing to do with you, I just a family friend who you look after. By the way, you don't need nor have obligation to look after me. My parents never ask you to do it and I can look after my self" 

Keinichi was startled. He never imagined that she had a sharp tounge when she was  angry.
"I need to explain it to you Because I am persuing you" 
"Persuing me ? I remember clearly  you told me on friday that you  change your mind and stop persuing me"  she glared at him.
"I did  but I lied. I never change my mind, I love you".  He hugged her while she was struggling to get away. But he was stronger than her, she could not make her self free.  
"Oniichan, what do you want ?" she asked him helplessly. she did not know why but  tears flew from her eyes by it self.
"I know I hurt you, I am sorry. I just could not think properly that day. I don't like  it when you smile and treat all men special"
"treat all men special ? when did I ? Have I ever told them to call my pet name ?  have I never told any one about my family matter ? No, I even did not tell my close friend. Do I ever allow my mother  made food for any of my male friend ? No, not even my female friend, My mum cook is only for me.  I only let you" Cacha cried as she  spoke up againt his accusation.
"I am sorry" Keinichi held her ever tighter "Cacha, lets start dating".

Keinichi Anderson,  a mix of a Caucasion father and a Japanese mother was a coldman. He was born at rich family from both side of  his parents. Since he grew up alone while his parents was to busy with their business, he had alot of things that were hidden.  He never show any interest with woman until he met a little girl that was exactly had opposite personality.

Charlene Feng was just a normal girl. She was born ar a normal working family as the youngest with elder sibling. She was raised in Australia while her parents had a strong Asian culture.  As the youngest, She was spoiled by her siblings to the max. 

He did not talk much while she was flabbermount. He was mature while she was childlish. He was an independent man while she was spoiled by her family. He was rich and successfull man full of secret while she was just an ordinary girl who was very open with out any secrets. The only similarity between them was they was very low profile.
 

Did he really fall for her ? How could two people with different personality be together ? Would cultural differences made a gap between ?  Did Social status bring another problem ? Could she stand by him andd be his source of courage ? would they have an happy ending?

That was the moment  chaos was set loose upon the world. No one cared. No one knew how to stop these things. Except me, but I had no other connections. My only friend in the whole world was dead. People set buildings on fire they looted. They pillaged. They took whatever they wanted. The whole world went crazy, in the blink of an eye. No one cared only the strongest and smartest survived. Cities were taken over no time flat most people didn't survive the zombies. I knew things were going to get real bad soon at my hotel. I packed my bags grabbing my board. I knew the roads would be packed. I knew it wasn't safe travel above ground.  I wasn't sure if it was water or if it's the cool the stopped these things. I did the only thing I could think of; I took the sewers. I can still smell then if I think back on it. they were dark cramped. rats screed everywhere including across my shoes. the smell it was a horrible human feces and sulfur. it was ten times worse than any outhouse you ever been to.  I took them all the way to the ocean. my board in my right hand my bag in the other. Ready to run at the slightest hint of zombies in to the ocean. It could have been the salt that stopped them for all I knew. the cities the towns they would not to be safe for quite a while either. I opted to paddle on down to the Everglades thinking that was probably the safest place to be. Minus the Crocs and alligators. I was more afraid of the zombies honestly. It was hot and tiring but after hours of swimming I made it to the glade's my new home. I had no clue how long this would last for. the sun was setting. I was burnt. I needed to find a way to get dry. I needed to find a way to keep from getting killed. I was not in the worse shape but by no means in the best. I had a beer gut but still ran 5 miles every day. I lifted weights 3 times a week. I had dark brown hair use to be blond but I had an office job and rarely got sun to lighten hair. My sink was pasty like that of a dead pice of coral that washes up on the sand after a storm. That evening I was red like a lobster. my blue eyes watered from over exposure to sun and salt but I keep looking for anything dry enough to start a small fire with. Just as the sun slipped  completely out of the sky I found it. A dead tree up right with it's bark still on. I pealed back the bark grabbing it and rubbing till I made tender.broke off some branches and small sticks and made a box stack fire.  I then stared the fire with the book of matches, I had grabbed from the hotel. I had stored the matches in a old dry pop bottle. I then built an small bed out of Branches over two branches of an healthy tree. I hung my clothes on sticks near the fire to dry and covered myself in mud to keep the bug at Bay. I then slept for a few hours. When I woke there were alligators all over the patch of land, I just so happen to be sleeping above. It was still dark and I had no idea when the sun was going to rise. I spent god knows how long up there that night and into the morning just waiting out them over grown lizards. a little before high noon and I felt safe enough to get down. I picked up my clothes put them on grabbed my stuff and headed out, looking for a better camp site. I traveled a few hours and found and abandoned shack. It had wholes in the roof and the windows were all busted out. Looked like the owners left it after a hurricane and never came back. I inspected it for anything useful and to see just how much I needed to fix. Man this hut was a wreck.

it all started like any other summer fun sand sun and laughter 5 years ago. that is until the heat zombies showed up. heat zombies kill living things just so they can roll in the blood and try to cool down. it never works. if you're scratched bit of spit on by one you because one in 12hours. after testing and experiments we decided to call them heat zombies. heat zombies only change into there brainless self's when the temperature gets over 80°F or 26.67°C when in cooler environments one can't determine and heat zombie for a human. the government has worked extremely hard to contain them but it is hard since they look normal most of the time. read more here
