The government wanted, needed, to figure out what was going on. They wanted a cure, so they needed Patient Zero and test subjects.

If I were to talk to him and he will find his way in me again, I could not escape anymore.... and I believe he will not let me go for the second time.

"Do you see people doing something along the trail? " Papa inquired when I reached home.

"What were they supposed to do Papa? They are howling materials to the view point." I said.

"They will develop the mountain into a camp site and hiking destination." He said

Zach smiled, seeing Keira run toward him, smiling.
"You look exhausted," he said as he hugged and kissed Keira on her head.
"Yeah, let's go. I feel so dead tired that I want to jump on the bed as soon as we get home," answered Keira as she entered the door of the car opened by Zach for her.
This had been their routine. Zach was a perfect gentleman. He always insisted on opening the car door for Keira and securing her seatbelt.
"Where do you want to eat?" asked Zach as soon as started up the engine of the car.
There was no response, so he glanced at Keira and smiled.
"Hmm, my falling star has been knocked out," he whispered because Keira had already fallen asleep.
Zach decided to go for a drive-thru instead and let Keira sleep and rest more during their ride.

She wiped the dust of her knees and got up.

"See? Im fine." Marline added.

Akita took a deep breath and coated her arm on marline's neck. "Lets go home its getting da-"

In a matter of a second it  felt like time has stopped. Akita's  heart started to beat in an alarming rate.

"Cant- breath" Akita cried as she ran out breath.

Marline panicked as she saw her sister in a distressed state.

"HELP!" Marline shouted as she cried out for help.

Strangers gathered left and right to see what was going on.

"Call an ambulance." a stanger said to a man holding a phone.

The man called an ambulance in hurry. Akita got on her knees trying to breath as hardly as she can.

"Someone help her."
"Come on man you know CPR."
"Whats CPR going to do?"
"I dont know but just help the fucking kid!"

Strangers argued all around her making a ruckus scene.

Akita gathered all her strenght left to whisper at her sister. "Marline I-" 

She collapsed straight to the ground face first and fainted. The people suddenly went silent as tears fell from Marline's face.

"Akita!"


"Yo....."  a voice of a young boy echoed as Akita woke up.

"W-where am I?" Akita asked as she got up and saw hersleft on a clear field.

"Youre in heaven." the voice replied.

"What?!" Akita shouted as she turned around to see a boy with white hair.

"Just kidding." the boy taunted. "I uhh- we are at... I-I dont know."

"Uhhhh.....Ok....Just tell me your name then." Akita suggested to the boy.

"Ah! It is I Aaron of the mindful sky!" the boy exclaimed.

"So im in a dream huh." Akita muttered.

"What?" Aaron asked.

"Well you said sky and mind. The mind acts as a way to say its all in your head or your brain, and the sky represents something of a cloud which is where dreams are showed to in shows." Akita explained.

Aaron grinned in shock. "Seems like you really know your stuff. Are you really even 9?" Aaron asked.

"Well lets just say I have a wide interpretation for riddles and words." Akita bragged.

"Heh guess so. Although you are still incredibly naive." Aaron said in an intimidating pattern.

"Huh?" Akita asked in confusion.

"Just a word of advice, you should'nt really trust people these days." Aaron said.

The clouds on the field became darker as Aaron walked towards Akita. His eyes had become pitch black and his mouth had a weak but terrifying grin. Akita shook in fear.

"I have a question for you." Aaron said as he moved his head to Akita's ear.

"WANNA FEEL WHAT ITS LIKE TO DIE?"


Then everything was over.

Akita woke up at a hospital bed with tears running through her eyes.

"Akita!" her mother shouted as she rushed and hugged Akita.

"Ma..." Akita muttered with tears still sheeding from her eyes.

The door suddenly swung open and a doctor stepped in.

"Excuse me Maam, may I talk to you for a second outside?" the doctor asked.

The two stepped outside and shutted the door.

"Your daughter has Arrythimia." the doctor announced.

"What?" Akita's mother asked in confusion.

"Arrythimia is a sickness where there heart palpitates at an abnormal rate. If not taken care fo any further, it can result to fainting, stroke, or even death." the doctor said.

Her eyes deepened in terror as she heard about the effects.

"Although if she takes medication we can subdue these effects." the doctor explained.

Years passed with Akita taking her medication and everything seemed normal. She was now at age 16 with marline two years younger.

"Rising up to the 1st place in the track and field competition is.... Contestant number 3 Marline!"

"Hey you won. Good job!" Akita congratulated her sister.

"Of course i'd win. You could also be winning if you arent lurking at your room reading some book." Marline teased her sister.

"As I told you for the last time-" Akita explained before being cut of by her sister.

"Yeah, yeah I know. You want to be a doctor since you think that its not really Arrythimia." Marline said.

"No I really think its not." Akita told her sister in a jokingly fashion.

As the two went home the sky went dark very quickly. They ventured to the short narrowed road since it was a shortcut. The road felt like a ghost town, it had no people walking around, streets lights were damaged, broken bottles just lied on the ground, and it just felt too quite.

"You know weve never walked at this route before. This place looks like a dump." Marline said.

"There are different rumors about this place. Some said that this place was a squatter and people where cast away, others said it was a war site, I mean the houses looks old as hell." Akita explained.

"Hey doesnt this setup seem familiar?" Marline asked.

"What do you mean?" Akita asked back.

"Walking on a road, me sweating, the sky getting dark quick. Except theres no other people around here." Marline said.

"Don't joke about that." Akita said nervously.

"I Marline will now release my ultimate spell! Level 50 shortness of breath to the... Zawurldo!" Marline said in a silly tone.

Akita began to breath fast as she felt the shortness of her breath.

"Hehe. You're pretty good at acting." Marline laughed.

Akita fainted to the ground as her body shaked.

"Wait you're not joking?!" Marline said in a panicked tone.

"Help!" She shouted.

A glimpse of hope spewed to Marline as she saw two men walking towards their direction. But that hope was soon to fade.

"Ey check these bitches mate." One of the thugs shouted.

"Don't come any closer." Marline said in a threatining voice.

One of the thugs had a change of heart as he saw Akita lying on the ground barely breathing.

"Yo we should take her to the hospital. These girls does'nt look like they have cash anyways." Said the worried man.

"Don't worry we won't hurt you just let us help." Said the other thug as he agreed with his friend.

Marline accepted the thugs help and let them carry Akita.

The men got ready to carry Akita. "Okay i'll carry her arms you carry her legs. Three, two, on-"

Akita suddenly smacked the face of the thug. She stood back up to her feet but her whole body was still trembling.

"What the hell?! Is this some kind of sick joke?!" One of the thugs shouted.

One of the thugs shook in confusion.

"What is it Mark?" The thug asked.

They looked at the direction of the thugs foot. A sharp piece of broken glass was precisionly stabbed into the shoe of the thug just barely missing his foot. He did'nt  even notice it until he looked. The thugs shook in fear.

"What are you?..." Mark asked.

"Fate. I am fate." Akita said unconsciously before she collapsed once again.

Ever since that day Marline accepted that it was no sickness. It was more sinister than anything she could possibly think of.

It is delibirate story of how a young boy goes through the stages of grief. Death, loss, and suffering will always be present but what matters is how he handles it.

"A child could only know so little, but what if he knows more?"

"I think we need to split up."

David suggested as they were about to leave the station. 

"Why?"

Lilith asked with a tone of voice that showed she was not going to agree without a good reason if at all. 

"First I need to get back to our crash site, apart from my hover bike, there were quite a few things in the cruiser that we might need. Besides if we have a particular mode of transportation, it might come in handy, just in case."

Minerva looked out a window as she arranged the shoulder strap of her first aid kit. But she had heard enough of this conversation to lodge her own complaint. 

"But its too dangerous, and I think we should stick together in case something goes wrong."

"It doesn't matter, because with those monsters in this town, something is bound to go wrong. But it should  be relatively safe since we're choosing to move at night. You and Lilith will be going together Minerva, the tortoises would be with me."

David hoped they agreed. He really needed to get to his hover bike, but he also had to carry out an investigation of his own. Of course he could not tell them that he was going out into the night to go look for that lizard, or they would freak out. So he had to give a very logical reason why he wanted to go rogue. 

"Fine, but remember the rules David. And if you're not back here in three hours, I will close this door behind you."

Lilith threatened with a stern face. Then she came close and hugged him while also whispering in his ears. 

"Be safe."

Then she turned and left the station with a protesting Minerva in tow. David expected her to easily agree, but not with such reluctance in her eyes. To be honest Lilith confused him, one moment she was cold to him, and others should would be getting all soft and cuddly with Minerva, and then moments like what just happened would come along. And she would show so much care for him that David would feel his toes tingling. 

"RARRRR"

"I don't know Veni, she is a little strange to me too. Come on boys let's get going."

Ever since he got his abilities, the three tortoises had been the test subjects on which he tested them. It was the reason why he bought them in the first place, but overtime he had come to care for these three shelled reptiles. And as such they had a connection, and it was deep. Training with them had also let him understand that his telepathy was also reliant on emotion, when he was out of battle its effects were a little weaker, or should I say varied. As long as he was in contact with any living being, he could somewhat communicate with them by feeling their thought intent. When somebody thought about something, there was always an ensuing feeling accompanying that thought. David could not read emotions or outright thoughts, but once he was in contact with the person doing the thinking, he would be able to feel the thought, almost as if he was the one having it. 

Basically David's none battling telepathy worked like a projection. The person thinking would be able to project the rough image and feeling of whatever it was they were thinking about, and from there David could read minds. It was his oldest telepathic ability, but it was also his weakest. Unlike his battle sight where he could sense the hostile intent, and even see what the next move would  be, David had to make contact for the thought projection to work. He had no idea why it was that way, because being unable to talk his tortoises from a distance was getting frustrating. But he was getting better at understanding them and the way they thought. 

David made his way out of the  station and spotted Lilith and Minerva almost twenty meters away from the station entrance, keeping to the shadows and slinking around buildings. The station was built south, but it was facing the west side of the town, and since that was actually where their commercial district, stores and malls could be found, that was where they were heading. David was going north, so he had to turn to his right. He climbed over Vidi, while keeping a firm grip on his shell opening for his head. Then David bent down and whispered to him. 

"Buddy can you take me back to where our cruiser landed, we have to be fast and we have to be silent. Can you do that for me?"

David asked in a petting tone, and Vidi rubbed his head over David's hovering palm, much to the annoyance of his jealous siblings. 
The monster activity in the town was heavily reduced whenever it was night. The theory that most of this monsters were not nocturnal held up as it seems like they had all gone to rest. However that did not mean there was no activity at all, with the fall of night, the predators around were sure to be more cunning, more dangerous, more stealthy, and more capable. Which was why they had put together a set of rule that they had to follow through. The first one and the most painful for David was that guns were forbidden. 

None of his weapons had a silencer except for the sky wolf sniper rifle, but the bullets in that gun would level and entire building to rubble, so it was completely out of bounds.  Second they had to keep the talking, or any sort of communication to the minimum, but David's companions were a trio of mutated tortoises, so there was not going to much communicating. And lastly, no matter what happens don't go into the light. 

The final rule was open to interpretation, and the fact that Lilith was the one who made the rule made it very funny. But whatever interpretation was there to be cleaned from it, David was not going to be going into any light whatsoever, no matter how peaceful it might look. Dying a virgin was not a part of his future plans. 

The town was rather silent, too silent in fact with the only sound being the soft steps being made by the three tortoises as they made their way towards the crash site. The streets in Oak valley town were much to wide, which meant they were mostly exposed, in the end it made David a little nervous. The only other option they had was to stay close to the buildings and keep as silent as possible. 

Their journey towards the crash site, was actually uneventful, there were no monsters in sight, and no humans either. But there was a nagging feeling at the back of his head that he could not place of reconcile himself with. David chalked it up to paranoia and kept his focus on the road ahead. 

The eventually got to the city park, the insurance was right at the other side and they had to go through the park together. But the cluster of trees, bushes, flowers and a playground was rather ominous. Thus looked like a good place to set an ambush, and David was not to keen about walking through a park at night. 

"Vidi we have to go around and please keep silent."

The journey around the park took another fifteen minutes before they eventually got to the area of their crash. However the moment the insurance office came into sight, David sucked in a cold breath of air. He was looking at a something he was very familiar with, and not just one but a pack. His very first kill in Pangea, cats. However this cats were big, about the size of a large dog, the signature red eyes and three barbed tongue were there as a proof. 

David shuddered as he remembered his first encounter with these felines, it was a rather horrifying experience and he wouldn't wish it on anyone. But he was a very different guy than he was when he was first attacked by the three tongued cat. He was not completely fearless, but he could not be said to be someone who was controlled or driven by his fears either. 
David pulled his battle blade from his back and switched it into it's axe form. 

The silver metal gleamed under the moonlight as one half of his face was reflected on it. The park was still looking ominous, and David could bet one big bad wolf or something else was probably hiding within its confines, so he's only hope would be to take out those cats before he is noticed. The worst possible thing that could happen to him right now is if he gets surrounded, so he had to attack and kill all seven of them with extreme prejudice. 

David knew he could count on the three tortoises to have his back in whatever way they could, so without anything he sprinted straight for the cats, however Veni, Vidi and Vici were faster than him and they shot past him to dive into the fray of playing cats, putting the claws and razor sharp teeth to good use.  It was a rather brutal display if animalistic instincts and savagery, but David did bot really care about what it looked like, he had done worse before, much more worse. 
David cleaver down with his axe, completely splitting one of the cats in half after it pounced on him. 

He used the momentum of his swing to turn around while also twisting the blade of the axe so that it's flat side would hit the next cat that pounced on him. There was audible crunch as the brain of the cat was completely smashed into a pulp and its blood and grey matter were dripping of the axe. The remaining five were already taken care off by the tortoises, and neither one of them had a single scratch. But it was not over as David heard a series of growls behind him 

"What the hell?"

David could not help but ask out loud. If the cats were the first things he faced when he came to Pangea, then the unknown beast with the armored body was the second. There were five of them standing in front of him, and right behind them was the third and mist dangerous monster he has faced so far. The lizard was here. 

"Fuck!"

David has woken up transmigrated into his alternate self in another universe, or it could also be said he received the memories of his alternate self from another universe.  Unsure of his identity and plauged by the similarities of both worlds he is forced to maneuver and fight his way through a world in it's early stages of an evolutionary apocalypse. Stuck in a world of magic, super heroes, advanced technology and a mind controlling lizard, David has to fight against the currents of fate in other to stay alive and thrive. But if fate and destiny won't drown him, then his own two souls fighting each other for dominance will.

The following night, the presenter opened the interview saying, "So far your story is full of twist and turns and I feel we are still far away from what people really want to hear, they want to hear what Richie did that made you to dump him on that wedding day"
       To this Tolu replied, "I know, but they need to also know how we got to that point and how he dug that grave for himself and I am about to step into that this night..." "Good, my ears are itching to hear it" The presenter chipped in 
       Tolu continued her story, "It was not long that I discovered that my mom was very right with her advise that she gave me about no sex till the wedding night, how did I confirmed it? 
      It happened like this, our relationship  speeds up deeply like we had been on it for a long time, he visited me and I visited him regularly, but whenever I am going to his place I always go in the company of my friend Bianca so that she can serve as a save guard against things going out of hands, you know what I mean?"
       The presenter asked, "You mean so that he will not be able to make sexual advances towards you right?" Tolu answered, "Exactly, but he did not like it, but I remained steadfast in that act because I saw that he could not controlled himself  sexually, so we played a lot of hide and seek game with each other until one night that I discovered that this issue of sex is going to cause serious trouble between us"
       The presenter asked her, "What happened during that night? Tolu answered, At that point I was so close to his friend Ayo who secured that new job that opened the door for our relationship, because he was my direct boss as Richie was in my former place of employment. The man liked me so much because of my high working ethics and he saw me as an epitome of moral uprightness.
       He happened to be the only blossom friend of Richie, and they always hang out together either in Richie's place or his own place.
      On the night that I mentioned, they were together in Richie's place, and it was Saturday evening that we did not go to our offices.
       The building in which Richie resided then had two balconies, the first balcony face the gate of the compound while the second faced the back of the compound. Normally, we like sitting at the back because  there it was always cool after sunset which always heat up the front part of the building 
      I left them sitting there that evening to go and buy ingredients that I need for cooking, but when I got downstairs I realised that the money in my purse will not do, so I returned to collect more money from Richie. 
      They did not know when I reentered, I heard Richie telling Ayo his friend that he had one dream that terrified him and Ayo asked him to relay the dream to him.
       I did not know what happened to me that night, It was never part of me to eavesdrop on people, but I just have this urge to stay quiet to hear the dream that he dreamt, somehow I felt the dream have something to do with me, if not he would have told me because he said he had the dream a week ago.
       Really he doesn't keep anything from me, but for him to have a dream that bothered him that much and he did not tell me increased my interest in the dream.
        He told Ayo that he dreamt that he saw a large pot seething on the stove, inside were boiling African sweet potatoes that were not yet done and I was the one cooking the potatoes, he said he saw himself sneaking into the kitchen to steal some of the hot undone potatoes.
       He dipped his hands into the pot and brought out a big potato to eat, his hand got seethed by the boiling water and the pain was so terrible. in spite of that pain he went ahead and ate the undone potato and his tongue too got blisters that kill the taste on his tongue. After eating the undone potato he had a terrible stomach aches and he was rolling on the floor in a deathly pain.
      When I heard this story I wanted to hear what his friend would say, but for sometimes he just kept quiet and he did not say anything until Richie asked him whether he thought his dream was a warning for a bad thing in the future about me?
      Then Ayo asked him if he really want to hear the meaning of his dream? Richie answered and said he knew he usually know how to interprets difficult dreams that was the reason he told him the dream and he should go ahead and tell him the meaning no matter what it is.
      Hearing this, Ayo said this dream is about you, Tolu and sex, if you force your way with her as you have been saying you will do you will experience unending woes and aches. So my advise is that you should do the needful if you know you are hungry for sex with her, marry her quickly after all there is nothing hindering  you from marriage 
       When Richie heard this interpretation, he kept quiet for a while, later when he opened his mouth he said, "Ayo, you have interpreted many of my dreams accurately in the past, but you are wrong this time, the interpretation you gave doesn't belong to my dream.
       You just twisted it so that you can use it to dissuade me about my plan concerning that girl, but I have told you my mind, I cannot marry a girl that I do not know whether she is frigid or sexually active. What if we marry and it turn out that she is a frigid cold girl that will turn my life to hell and I will need to return to the street to relieve myself?"
        To this Ayo answered, "I don't think so, Tolu cannot be a frigid she only have a vow to keep herself till the wedding day, and I am sure you will enjoy her" 
"That is your own, for me if she maintain her no sex till wedding night stand, then I will maintain my no wedding until we have sex stand. Don't you see that she is torturing me on purpose 
       To make the matter worse for me, since I met her other girls don't turn me on again like before, if not by now she will know what she is worth"
       "Richie, you will never settle down into marriage unless you have a girl like Toly who will make you to settle down" Ayo told him.
       "Richie replied, " That is a lie, my relationship with her is about to clock a year now, why didn't I dropped her like others?"
        "The reason you did drop her was because you have not seen her nakedness, you are like a cock, you get tired of girls that you sleep with immediately you see another one, if you know what is good for you fix your wedding date and marry this girl she is so good for you!"
         This was what I heard without him knowing that I eavesdropped that night, and though I love him; but I made up my mind that I won't give in to sex before wedding as my mother advised me"
         "That was great" Says the presenter, "If all our ladies can be like you most of them will not surfer heartbreaks that is prevalent everywhere today in relationships" He added

He was in the deep gutter of jungle justice, in a matter of minutes he'll loose his life for crime he did not commit; and from the blues she stepped out to expose the real criminal and saved him.
Though nothing could match what she has done, but to show gratitude he helped her to secure a job where he worked and this caused a rift between him and his girl friend who was a born with silver in the mouth neighbour of his saviour.
With this girl friend annoying needless tantrums, he dumped her and decided to focus on the saviour, but she refused for a long time until he cleared off her chief reason for saying no through a special arrangement, and they started a sexless relationship which he  really did not like.
After a while in their cat and mouse sexless engagement, the criminal that she exposed to save him showed up with acid plastic and ruined her beauty.
With her beauty ruined he lost interest in her and dumped her for her traitorous friend. This set them up for a long journey of deadly vengeance. This book is a book for the strong hearted who can have food on the table and be glued to printed page that cant be put down to be read later!
