This journey involves my answering of 365 creative writing prompts in a desperate bid to overcome my laziness.

THE SITUATION RIGHT NOW: I've gotten over the majority of my laziness. I'm unlikely to update this much. It's pretty much complete. The novel I'm working on is Dark Seas Leading Demise

I was 15 years old, and I finished my 'secret' planning to prepare for the Holy Grail War.

First, I made a big map showing all the regions of Fuyuki.

I made redstone pipes that run beneath the sewer lines so it would be difficult for anyone to find them.

The pipes were connected to a complex redstone construction, when turned on it would automatically make the 72 obsidian pillars that I built in certain areas under the land of Fuyuki City.

On top of every pillars there was an end crystal that I personally modified, that I could make it treat anyone I want and when it was destroyed it would not give any harm to the person it was treating, as I said before I became creative.

I built 108 beacons hidden underground also, which i can turn on from the button on my base.

Of course, I worked hard to achieve all this, and to keep it hidden, I bought many lands and buildings under the Bethany name.

Yes, all this secrecy will disappear when I press a button in my workshop, then 72 pillars and 108 beacons will go up from under the ground.

But at that time the mum will be worth it, maybe I don't have the infamous 'territory creation' but at that time, I will become non-killing as long as I am within the influence area of ​​the beacons and pillars, yes, unkillable, and I will get reinforcements Strength, speed, resistance and high jump.

In addition to my personal skills such as 'weather manipulation' and many other skills, I can be called the god of Fuyuki, and with a little luck and charisma, maybe I can convince humans that I am a real god, and I will eventually turn into a divine spirit.

The walls of my base were made of bedrock blocks, a material that could not be broken or even scratched, and the floors were illuminated by glowstones.

How did I get to bedrocks? This is simple, although I cannot carry it or break it, you should remember that each block has a length and width of 1 meter, so as long as I find a block that does not have additional blocks in its sides I can stand behind it and open my inventory in front of it and go back a little bit and oh, the block in My inventory.

Why would I do the hard way while I could do it the easy way?

Also, I made some progress in my skills, becoming my own (advanced) lvl max.

I also made a lot of progress in all of my skills, all of them becoming lvl max, so I experimented with zombification on animals, and it is interesting that zombies had a 'magic' virus in their bloodstream, when they bite someone, this person does not turn into zombies on the spot and It can incubate the virus for years, and it can only be transmitted after its death.

Fortunately, the virus can be cured by a weak dose and a golden apple. It is worth noting that I can control zombies and that the more skill level the zombies become stronger.

It was the same every year. Artie would make calls and try to find out what everyone's plan was for the holiday season. With everyone spread out across the nation, the only tradition old Artie was seeing every year was excuses. It hadn't always been this way. There used to be a time when all the kids and grand kids would trip over each other to spend the holidays at his big house. Those were the good old days when his wife was still around. Before her passing, she would often joke that everyone was really there to see her and not him. Turns out her jokes were quite accurate because when his lovely wife of fifty years succumbed to cancer, everyone stopped showing up for Christmas. Artie just assumed the first year was too tough because the first holiday was less than a few months after her passing and it might have been too soon. He let it slide and thought nothing of it. But now it had been seven years and not a single kid or grand kid had sat down at the massive table in his dining room to break bread with him on his savior's birthday.

     It wasn't like some of his kids didn't have good excuses. David was a surgeon and he spent his holidays working in free clinics to help those who couldn't afford health insurance. While it was admirable from a distance, deep down Artie knew that was a shield to protect David from criticism, something he did often to deflect negative things being said about him. Sorry I missed that play I never wanted to see, but I was too busy saving lives. It was like playing chess with a grand master. Even though you knew what game was being played you still had no chance of winning.

     There were the kids who had no excuses. Kim was a stay at home mom with four rug rats that Artie wanted to spoil endlessly. Yet instead of taking him up on offers of free babysitting and weekend to spend with her husband, he was rejected every time he reached out to spend time when them.

     Next was Richard, who was larger than life. Living what was his childhood dream, Richard was a professional baseball player. Making millions to play a game most people would do for free, he was also able to fly anywhere at a moment's notice but still had no time for his old man. Whenever they would talk on the phone, they would talk about all things baseball and nothing else. It was the one bridge they had left but Artie was sad that he wasn't closer to Richard beyond that. He couldn't be prouder of his son, but lately he had been living up to his name and was a real dick to his old man.

     Then there was Malcolm. Professor at an esteemed university and all round know it all. Malcolm never came for Christmas dinner because Artie never invited him. They were like oil and vinegar and fought every time they shared the same air. His youngest child also knew exactly how to push his buttons as if it were a secret talent that only he possessed. His wife would laugh at how good they were at setting each other off; it was like watching synchronized swimming she often said. He missed her more than ever, especially now that he had spent every holiday alone since her passing.

     This wasn't the way Artie wanted to spend his last years, alone every Christmas and only cooking for one. The previous year, Artie decided to do something different and didn't even invite any his kids over. He gave everyone the same treatment that was usually reserved for Malcolm and nothing changed and he got the same cards and postcards in the mail and nothing more. His attempt at reverse psychology was a complete and utter failure, epic as his grand kids would tell him.

     As the next holiday season approached, Artie had finally decided that he wasn't going to take it anymore. This year he was prepared to fight them tooth and nail to get what he wanted. Artie paused for a moment and thought about what that meant. What kind of dinner would he have if all of them had to be dragged in there kicking and screaming against their will? Artie knew that he would have to be more creative if he was going to have the happy holiday he missed so much. He had considered writing them all out of his will if they didn't show up this year. That was an empty threat because he didn't have that much left over and two out of four kids were millionaires. It was going to take some real trickery to get them all at the table this year but he was determined to make it happen.

     Even if it was the last thing he ever did...

All Artie Jackson wanted was the whole family to be home for Christmas. Be careful what you wish for...

After Flora logged into the workshop, she dumped the books in a corner and set up the page-turner.
Taking a sip from the Potions Guzzler, she returned to the still running simulation grounds. 
In the morning, she had forgotten to check on the Blade-Rollers. The poor robots were both in bad shape. One showed severe damage through overheating, the other had four ruptured appendages, and both of their sawblades were blunt.
"Mine is the broken one, Milady. I pushed the movement and rammed a few trees. Aitoshuri did several long term tests. I'll transmit her data to you."
A row of stats appeared on Flora's HUD. Running continuously, the sawblades worked up to two minutes on their highest setting before overheating and half an hour in their lowest setting. Not bad, not bad at all. 
"Outstanding job."

Flora returned to her workbench to work on the octopus. Now she had a pretty good picture of the joints and the motors for them. 
She decided to equip two of the tentacles with tools as tips. With a heavy heart, she sacrificed one of her two Doom-Moon multitools and a knife/bender/gripper hybrid for the other arm. 
The octopus should not only help her with crafting but also with fighting. Laser eyes were an absolute classic. She browsed the doom moon laser-turret manuals and the marketplace for ideas and appropriate parts.
Now, she had included all the functions she wanted. 
Next came the fun parts. 
Rationality told Flora to armor the octopus, but thinking about Aitoshuri's needs and real-life octopuses, she had a better idea: Display fabrics!
These fabrics could change their colors to such a degree, that they were used as TV-Screens. The military used them for camouflage and the fashion industry for special effects.
Her drawn picture with notes finished, she started to build the robot.
Mainly, she used the tier-1 materials from Doom Moon. Unfortunately, she couldn't create a whole laser system with them, so she had to substitute with tier-0 materials, that was also the case for the casing with the display-fabric.
With more efficient motors, she solved the worst of her energy problems, but her plans for skin and the laser eyes had thrown her back. She splurged on a high-efficiency mana battery that Aitoshuri could hoard mana while not working and use it for high-load phases.
The octopussy quickly took shape: Eight limbs equally spaced around a roundish head. For the eyes, Flora found some cute heart-shaped laser crystals and immediately bought them.
Comparing her creation to a picture of an actual octopus, she decided to stay more on the cartoonish side of design and forwent the beak and the mouth opening at the bottom. The ability to spew poisonous ink would be awesome, but she had enough on her plate for the first version - maybe in the future.
An easy solution would be using toxic materials for the tentacles. Aitoshuri could hug her opponents to death!
Flora experimented with fusing the toxic waste and the hull material of the Doom Moon and came up with suitable material. It wasn't as strong as the pure material, but she liked the toxic effect.
Suddenly she got another idea. What if she could integrate a kind of inventory space, so Aitoshuri could pick up and store things directly? Flora had disliked stooping down in the sewers and collecting dead creatures like the kingators. 
After a quick research, she found a solution. Unfortunately, robots couldn't have a separate inventory. You either could include ordinary bags, or you could give them an access slot to your own inventory. When Flora thought about it for a bit, she realized that the latter had advantages as well. Flora included the inventory-access under the head.
'We'll see how it works out.'
Finally, she finished the design.

Flora burned to print the robot!  But she refrained from it because it would be a great project to inaugurate her very own printer. 

The next idea came to Flora when she thought about what to do subsequently. Flora whistled. She was on a creative streak! 
In the martial arts classes, the other students had their pets on the walls of the room. She could use the page-turner and let Aitoshuri read.
Envisioning the mountain of books and the page-turner amidst wolves and tigers, she decided to build a library container. She could hide all the bad romance in it, and nobody would see the books! That alone was reason enough!
Another 3x3x3m Container took form. This time, Flora inserted shelves and the page-turner and gave it four extendable legs to save space in the classroom. She connected the page-turner and the container, no need to waste mana and nocks on two devices when one could do the job.
On the outer casing, she air-brushed a shelf with old books and the inside brown and orange grained. She added a light and a long grappler that the AIs could fetch their books themselves from the shelves.

Flora beamed to the Riverstones HQ to print it. 
While waiting for the printer to complete its job, Svetlana entered the building.
"Hello, Auntie Flora!" Svetlana greeted her. "Thank you for the funding. We used it to upgrade the printer, among other things."
"No problem, dear. Everything that is mine is Robby's anyway." Flora looked at the printer and felt a pang of conscience. "In a few hours, I'll get my own printer. Of course, I want to update it as well. Should I update yours to 'S' first?"
Svetlana coughed. "The update to S is very hard. Don't underestimate it! And to be honest, we have no funds for it at the moment. Of course, we aspire to have an S-rated printer long-term, so your help will be appreciated."
"Sure, and meanwhile, you can use my printer if you want that extra quality. I'm moving to a new lair, and the printer will be in a separate hall from my living quarters, so you can visit anytime without intruding."
"I never heard from someone who upgraded their printer alone. You can hire other crafters to register their blueprints on your printer. The price for an S-rated blueprint is 1000 VirDos."
Now, it was Flora's time to splutter.  "Just for registering? Not the blueprint itself?"
"Right. You didn't know?" Svetlana scratched her head. "Well, we wouldn't pay you money, but you would get lots of contributions points. I already sent you some for the upgrade to A. 
*Bleep*! I forgot to send you the voucher for hiring squats! I'm sorry Auntie, the last week was at the same time hellish with the new employees and heavenly because of all the excitement about my rising synchronization!
I'm now at 69% and hit a ceiling. Do you have any advice?"
"Have you tried using different bodyparts?"
Svetlana stared at her frowning. "What do you mean by body parts?"
The printing of the Library-Container finished. 
Flora signaled Lana to wait a moment while she logged into the workshop and looked through her cloud-drive. 
'Where is the Stehaufmaennchen?'
After she recovered the file, she ordered the printing.
She joined Lana and watched the candy cane alike structure being built.
"I designed this tumbler for training my sync. When you hit it, it will bounce back." Flora pointed at the colorful stripes. "You can aim at the blue band with knee, yellow with your elbow. On the top are some smaller dots to hit with your finger. Try it first when it is standing still after that when it is swaying. Don't forget to train to aim with your butt and bosom, as well. You never know when you need fine control in these areas!" 
"That's handy! I saw the tumbler at the forum a view hours ago!
It's a new item in the Cetviwos-Shop. Guess they directly used the rights they bought from you."
"Oh, well. I don't expect much sales from such a simple gizmo." She looked at it. "I could add a feature that gives you challenges, lighting up some of the rings and a body part, and you get points for hitting it correctly. And you wouldn't have to announce the moves to the System." Flora grinned. Yes, she was on a creative fire! "Would you be interested in such a device, or is it too much pressure?"
"My old job consisted of disarming bombs. I'll be damned if a *bleep*ing tumbler pressured me!"
"Give me 10 minutes!" 
Flora logged back into the workshop and took a sip from a mana potion.
'Cables, L.E.D.s, sensors, a display, a mana-plate, and a control box, and we are ready to go!'
First, she put an L.E.D behind every stripe and dot of the tumbler.  Then she sculpted a human doll that looked a bit like Svetlana, marked the body-parts, put lights behind them, and put it at the top of the pole. 
At the base, she installed the display and a big 'Start'-Button.
Then she wired everything to the box. 
Flora realized that it was the first time she had to program a control box. Until now, she had cheated with using the AIs to control the devices.
Thankfully, the programming was more like putting phrases together than actually writing the code: 
Define zone_x: Where the color of the pole is the same in the region of L.E.D_x.
Define bodypart_y: To the lit doll body part corresponding body part of the player.
At Button press:
Light up one random L.E.D_x of group tumbler-lights. 
Light up one random L.E.D_y of group doll-lights.
Wait 5 seconds or until Hit in L.E.D zone_y with bodypart_y.
When Hit: Counter +1.
Show counter.
Repeat 10 times.
When Flora checked the time, she realized that she had only needed 6 minutes. So she added a menu-button and up and down arrows for adjusting the time for the hit and the number of rounds.
Flora rechecked everything, shrugged, and ordered to print it two times.
It was a bit rough, but that was normal for a prototype for proof of concept.

Back in the bamboo hut, Flora found Lana training with the original tumbler and explained to her the game.
When the devices finished printing, they occupied different corners of the hut and started playing.
In the first round, Flora got an easy move: The head of the doll lit up and a stripe near the top. She headbutted the tumbler for her first point.
The next round left her slack-jawed: Left knee to the stripe directly beneath the doll. That was at the height of 1,70m!
Flora to Aidan: "Remind me to make two areas that we can match only the upper body limbs to the high zones of the pole. Maybe implement two game variants, one for gymnasts and one for normal people."
<Power-Jump>!
While Flora hit the pole, she missed the right zone by a hairbreadth. Admittingly a very corse hair, more a dreadlock than natural hair.
The next few rounds went uneventful. Only when the pole wanted from Flora to hit one of the small dots with her elbow, she took another note.
Flora to Aidan: "More mid-sized zones would be helpful as well. Maybe we quarter one of the cylindric stripes at hip-height in rectangles."
After Flora completed the game with a score of 9, she watched Lana finishing her round. Her counter showed 12, but Flora didn't know how many times she had failed. She added it to the improvement list.
Lana's movement looked fluent, and she aggressively attacked the tumbler.  The weird jerkiness was gone, but a bit of skittishness remained.
"So, what do you think? Any suggestions?"
"I *bleep*ing adore it and don't want to stop! But two issues caught my eyes: A finger lit up, and it took me a while to identify which finger because the light spread. The other thing is, I haven't even played five minutes and a quarter of its durability is already gone. My strength isn't that high. If someone with a lot of physical power plays this game, the tumbler will be kaput in no time."
"Good points! The solution for the first one is easy, but I don't know about the second one. Maybe higher-tiered materials?"
"You could try to get it approved as a training-dummy. I know that the requirements are ridiculous because people had exploited it for combat, but you can try."
"Oh, tell me how! I love exploitation!"
"First they made training dummies robots with infinite HP and took them questing as tanks. That got fixed quickly. Then a too clever by a half guild constructed the wall of their compound out of mage dummies. The wall was not only indestructible, but it actually shot spells at the attackers."
Flora laughed. "Great! I want that! Any more feedback?"
"Some of the combinations were a bit challenging, but I liked it. The journey is the reward, right? And without pushing the limits, there is no progress."
"Exactly, but I will implement an easy mode for the beginners. Thank you for testing! I'll send you the finished product as a reward."
Flora to Aidan: "I hope you took notes, she did some excellent testing."
"Oh, yes, no probs! Thanks!" Lana fidgeted. "The topic is hot ATM. I would hurry up the publication. And ... I might stay here for a while, you know." 
Flora smiled and nodded. But first, she went in the corner of the hut and filled up the library container. Although Lana was occupied with the game, Flora still shielded the books from her eyes.
'I'm so childish! I'm sure Lana reads tons of shitty romance novels! And since when do I care what other people think of me?'
The admonishment didn't help. Flora tucked the books away on the last shelf. Not that you could hide 124 books in an otherwise mostly empty library, but she tried.
Flora to Aitoshuri: "Enjoy!"
A fanfare of trumpets sounded, which made Flora smile. She recognized the piece: it was from Bach's 'Jauchzet Frohlocket!' (Shout for joy, exult!).
Back in the workshop, Flora enlargened the hands of the doll. Then she inserted an opaque material on the inside and black contours outside between all the zones. That would help color blind people to distinguish the zones better. 
Methodically, Flora worked through her list until only the dummy issue was left. 
That proved to be simpler than Lana depicted it. Flora just had to draw a rune on the base. The rune made the tumbler indestructible while training, but vulnerable while in combat. 
Flora was intrigued by the concept of runes and immediately bought the book '1000 common Runes and Glyphs'.

After printing one for Lana and herself, she published the design and wrote CentralTank a letter. She offered them to feel free to sell it in their shop as well, for a cut, of course.

After Flora Fluss burns down the kitchen, her son insists she is too old to live alone. She's got two choices. Either move into a retirement home or spend the rest of her life within a virtual reality game governed by society's most advanced artificial intelligence. When you've worked a lifetime as an engineer for home appliances, naturally, you go with the option that has more toasters. 
Soon, Flora finds out that the virtual world is more familiar than she thought. Though, it takes her a while to get used to the idea that tanks don't hold water or oil but the aggro of mobs.

Once Sylvic is done writing the letter, he motions with his hand to follow and I follow suite. We leave the room and go past the rows of beds to the front lobby. This room has a desk with the nurse that cried on my shoulder hours ago behind it. She has recollected herself and is writing on a clipboard. There is a sign in sheet on the desk. I look around at the room, there are some wood chairs, a few windows, and a sign that says, "Please wait to be called for."
  Sylvic said, "I'm heading home for the day." 
The nurse replied, "Ok, have a good day Mr. Johnson and..." she looks at me, so I just wave. "Mr. Johnson, do you plan on taking him with you?" She points at me. 
   "Yes, is there an issue with that?" He responds, sounding confused. The nurse, sounding slightly less confused, responds, "Did you forget you need to sign him out?" Sylvic looks dumbstruck, and I try to contain a snicker. "My bad Jasmine, I totally forgot."
   'So Jasmine is the nurses name, interesting. I will keep that in mind if I ever talk to her again.'
  He walks over and signs me out, I glance to look and they had me written in as purple haired kid, 'How creative. I guess they had to put something in though while I was unconscious. Speaking of....'
  I look at Sylvic, "So how long was I unconscious for?" He looks at me and scratches his head, "Two days if I'm right...." "TWO DAYS?!?" 'Why was I unconscious for two days! The lord knows how long I was unconscious before then! I could have been killed, system doesn't know crap about sending people to this world.'
  All of a sudden I hear, "You coming Kurayami?" I snap out my thoughts. "Coming!" And I run towards the door. As I leave I'm greeted by what I assume to be the Middle Ages, there are log houses one story tall lined up in a row with smoke coming from each chimney, and there is snow.  Snow is slowly falling from the sky, without a care in the world just to land on another till they land on a mound. I look around just to see plains upon plains of snow. I stick my tongue out to catch a snowflake just for it to be blown away from my breath. It looks like a scene from a fairytale. I see a few elves, orcs,dwarves, beast men, and people walking the sidewalks of the streets.
  The world was like a something from my dreams. "Woooooooooow!" Sylvic smiled, seeing his new kid in awe. He grabs my hand, we turn left and we start walking down the sidewalk. The streets are quiet except for the steps others make in the snow. 
   We eventually make it to a two story building made of stone. Lights dance in the windows figures moving in the building. We walk up the steps and he takes a set of keys out from his pocket. He puts them in and turns them till a click sounds from the lock.
  We enter and as he closes the door behind him, I hear a click, I turn around and see a small circle on the lock. My eyes go wide as I realize something, it automatically locked when the door closed! I turn around to see a hallway at the end I see what I assume to be the kitchen and dining room, to my left, I see a room with wool furniture surrounding a small coffee table. The walls have wallpaper of green and yellow stripes. Then I realize something. As a healer, he must be pretty well off and this scene confirms it. 
  From the presumed to be kitchen, I hear a voice come from that sounds mature yet feminine and kind. "Honey? You finally home?" I look at Sylvic and he responds swift and kind voice but one that demands urgency. "Yeah, I am here, and I need to talk to you about something." When he finishes his sentence, a female elf sticks her head out from the kitchen. She has smooth and delicate features, blond hair, and bright blue eyes. 
  She looks at her husband and then looks at me and she then rush's from the kitchen wearing a kitchen apron. She is wearing a yellow sweater, black cloth pants, and blue shoes. She then looks at her husband curiously. 
   "Who is this young boy?" He answers with a stern tone that shows his will won't be moved. "This is Kurayami, the newest member of our family." I just wave shyly. His wife is around 5'5 ft tall and looks average in weight, similarly built to her husband but less muscle, more curves, and lighter skin.
  She gives him a look, as if to say, we will discuss this later. Sylvic points to the couch and asks kindly, "Could you please sit on the couch and wait while I call the other kids down?" I nod, understanding that he is in the dog house now, making the call to adopt me on the spot.
   'He seems to make decisions on the spot without thinking of the consequences. I'm glad he chose to take me in but he didn't think of what the backlash that might incur. Definitely spontaneous.'
  I'm brought back from my thoughts when I hear Sylvic yell, "Kids, come down, there is someone you need to meet!" I hear doors open and multiple feet coming down the steps.

After an unknown amount of time, a soul got to reincarnate into a fantasy realm with it’s own choice of abilities and looks. Watch as he goes through a life as powerful as can be in this world. This is a hobby and not professional work so please bare with me while I try my best to make this book a good one.

Relaxing on the hawk throne, I was grateful that Anton had added the cushioning charm to make the chair more comfortable. Tapping my fingers thoughtfully on the cover of my journal, starting with the question I considered most important, I questioned, "Is it possible to change the future?"

Taken aback at the questions, Anton narrowed his eyes and studied the serious look on my face and carefully responded, "That depends on what type of knowledge of the future you have. For the most part, knowledge of the future comes in two different varieties, Prophecies and visions."

Confused, I asked, "Aren't those the same thing."

Shaking his head, he clarified, "There are huge differences between prophecies and visions. A vision is about a possible future, if you know what's coming, you can begin to make changes, but you have to remember, the more you change, the more the outcome is changed as well. It could even change to the point where you have no idea what is going to happen. On the other hand, a prophecy is different; it's impossible to change a prophecy."

"But, if you know the future, shouldn't you be able to circumvent the prophecy." I stubbornly argued. 

Shaking his head, he responded, "That's not how it works, look a vision can be changed because it is only one possible future based on people's most likely actions, but there are still many different choices people could make that could lead to a different outcome. A prophecy is only issued when every possible future leads to a certain event. No matter what choice you make, the ending is always the same. That is why prophecies are rare. Think about how many different choices people make. Now imagine that every possible path leads to the same conclusion. That is why it's impossible to change prophecies."

Nodding my understanding, I clarified, "So if I theoretically knew of some deaths of people I wanted to save, I would need to wait till the last minute to save them. Otherwise, if I take action too early, the future could change in such a way that I would have no idea what was going to happen."

He shrugged and replied, That would be your best bet, but trying to change the future can be frustrating at best, there has been plenty of wizards, who drove themselves mad trying to manage the future."

Opening my journal to the first page, I found two names staring back at me, Cedric Diggory, and Sirius Black. I sure that there were others that Voldemort and his followers killed, but for the life of me, I didn't remember their names. While my memory of this life was nearly perfect, the memories of my previous life have been fading, it's like trying to remember a dream, its easy to remember the dream, but the details become fuzzy.

The most important name on my list is Cedric's name, if I can't save my best friend, then what the hell is the point of knowing about the future. As much as I would like to help Sirius get out of prison, I can't risk changing anything that will put the knowledge of the future at risk. Otherwise, Wormtail will kill Cedric in our sixth year during the Triwizard tournament.

Burying my guilt towards Sirius, I consoled myself that I would take action to make sure he didn't die early. Realizing that I hadn't spoken anything for several minutes, I moved on to other topics that I needed to be clarified.

Deciding to tackle a problem that I had been trying to think of a solution for, I asked, "Do you know anything about the magical trace that gets put on underage wizards when they start school?

Stroking his beard eyes twinkling, he replied, "Ah, the trace, it was a controversial topic in my day, the trace was one of the main reasons why I resigned from the council. That's when I saw the writing on the wall; the council was changing. We went from almost no interference in wizarding lives to hexing and tracking our children. A few years after I resigned, the council was dissolved, and the Ministry of Magic took its place, and I'll bet it's only gotten worse. Although even I have to admit, they figured out a clever way to implement to hex."

Wanting to avoid the trace if possible, I asked eagerly, "How does it get put on?"

Smirking at me, he taunted, "I'll give you a hint; it's something that every underage wizard goes through. Let's see if you can guess what it is."


Running over everything, I've learned about this world, both from the books and over everything I've learned over the last ten years. I guessed, "Does it happen when you buy your first wand."

Grinning at me, he replied, "Not a bad guess, but no, it has to do with your invitation to Hogwarts. The invitation is a magically binding agreement when you send the reply that you will be attending, you must sign your name. That is how the trace gets attached. Every wizard must be very careful when signing magical documents; if a hex or a curse is attached, it is exceedingly difficult to break. The reason why it's so difficult is that if someone willingly signs their name to something, it allows the magic to sink deep within them. Besides, I imagine that if you can break the trace, the Ministry would find out almost immediately, the better way would be to trick it somehow temporarily."

Seeing my disgruntled stare, he consoled me, "But I don't think you need to worry about the trace too much, It is mainly used to track magic out in the muggle world. As long as you are on our property, they wouldn't be able to tell it was you that cast the spell."

We continued to speak over questions and ideas that I had until I realized that I had away from home for most of the day, and my mother was probably about to send out a search party. Reassuring Anton that I would be back soon, I left the tower to head home. 

In the following months, I spent every free moment I had at the tower. One of my favorite spots in the tower was on the third floor. Where there was a library containing Anton's collection of books. 

While I was glad to be able to read more books containing magic, most were useless without a wand. What good was a book of spells, that required a wizard to have a wand?


Before I knew it, the fall of 88 had arrived, and I turned 11, knowing that Hogwarts was less than a year away. I redoubled my efforts at trying to learn all I could, it was slow going, but I was confident that I would probably be one of the most prepared first-year students to attend Hogwarts in a while. 

A few weeks after my birthday, I was watching the twins run around the house. They never seemed to run out of energy. Feeling a tap on my shoulder, I turned to see my father standing behind me. He made a motion with his head, indicating I should follow him.

After arriving at his study, he found his way to his favorite brown recliner. He motioned for me to take a seat, sitting across from him. We sat in silence, the only noise being the pop and crackle from a small fireplace. Knowing that my father would speak once he was ready, so I just enjoyed sitting with him. 

In a low voice, he said, "You know, you'll be leaving us next year for Hogwarts, So I was hoping to spend more time with you before you left. It seems like I've barely seen you over this last year. I was hoping you might want to start coming to the workshop with me."

A pang of guilt flashed through me, regarding how much time I've spent at the tower lately. 

He continued, "I know you normally spend your mornings with either your grandmother or your mom learning. But, I thought that it's high time for me to do my part in your education. No son of mine isn't going to excel at charm-work and enchanting." After looking around to make sure Leaning in close, he whispered, "Your mother and I have a little bet going on about what will be your favorite subject, charm-work, or potions. She keeps on bragging about how much of a head start she has, considering that she has spent years teaching you all about potions. But I'm confident that my workshop will lure you into the wonderful world of enchanting, by the time I'm through showing you how everything works, I sure potions will seem rather tame."

Ecstatic that I would finally be allowed to go to the workshop where he did all his charm work. I eagerly responded, "Nothing would make me happier; I have always wanted to see how you make everything in the shop."

The next day at breakfast, mom eyed me suspiciously, while dad smugly sipped his coffee. The twins, oblivious to the silent competition going on between mom and dad, started complaining that they didn't want to begin schooling with grandmother. I winced, feeling sorry for them, as their hands were destined to cramp up, trying to meet grandmother's calligraphy standards.

When breakfast was finished, we used the floo network to travel to Fawley Wondrous Enchantments in Diagon Alley. The front of the shop was full of enchanted items, on one side of the shop where larger things like magical tents, vanishing cabinets, school trunks enchanted with various spells woven into them. On the other were smaller, more delicate pieces, such as mirrors, clocks, and other small household items. 


Seeing the front of the shop was always exciting, but I had never been to the basement where he enchanted everything. Heading downstairs, we came to a massive steel door containing our family's crest. He pulled out his wand and tapped the stars seven times in what seemed like a random pattern. Once he finished, the door swung open, showing a vast rectangular workshop. Tables lined the walls, full of items, and knickknacks that he was working on. 

 The middle of the workshop was empty except for a table in the very center, surrounding the table was a large circle etched into the stone floor. After studying the strange loop for a moment, I turned to my dad and asked, "What is the circle for."

Seeing what my attention was focused on, He responded, "That a protective warding spell I cast so that I can experiment with new spells and enchantments inside safely. You have to be careful when doing experimental enchantments; if you mess up your charm work, there is a chance for the results to be rather explosive."

Eager to see how objects were enchanted, I asked, "Are you working on anything new right now." 

Popping open his briefcase, he reached in and pulled out some old parchment and replied."Well, that's what I was hoping to show you, recently at your grandmother's, I came across some old drawings of your grandfather's work that he had been working on outside the warehouse."

Looking over the parchment, I saw several sketched broomstick designs on the parchment. Confused, I asked, "I thought all grandfather's work had burned up in the fire or had been stolen by Whithorn."

In a somber tone, he replied, "I think that these were some ideas for future designs that he drew at home but never got to take them to the warehouse. This may have been one of the last things my father worked on. I was hoping that we could work on it as a project as father and son."

In my mind, I began imagining how we were finally going to take down Whithorn and the Nimbus Racing Company, finally getting revenge for my grandfather. Eagerly I asked, "Can we be finished before I go to Hogwarts next year?"

As soon as I asked the question, dad started shaking his head. He replied, "There's no way we could have it finished before you leave for Hogwarts. Designing a quality broomstick isn't as simple as putting charms onto a broom and flying off into the sunset. Many standard charms don't last very long, to make charms last longer. Enchanters often have to design variations of the charm, to see what is most effective. That's why there is such a variation in the quality of brooms. My father spent years designing custom charms for his design. If there weren't any variation in spells, all flying broomsticks would be equal. If we want to build a broom that can beat the nimbus, we'll have to start from scratch, not to mention, brooms have dozens of spells laid into them, so we will have our work cut out for us. There are other factors as well such as materials, matching the best type of wood to charms can be tricky, one variation of a spell may work great with one kind of wood, but perform differently in another type. It will take years for us to build a broom better than the nimbus. After all, they have a twenty-year head start on us if we want to make a broom faster than theirs, we will have to get creative. 

Hearing the magnitude of the project didn't sway me at all. I would do anything, to get revenge for the pain and suffering Whithorn has put my family through, I would go to the ends of the earth. Growing up without a family in my previous life has made me realize that the most precious thing in my life was my family. May God have mercy on anyone who dares to harm my family, because they will get none from me.

Wanting to banish the violent train of thought my mind was wandering down, I asked, "what are we going to name it?"

With a wistful smile, Dad responded, "When I was young, dad always said he was going to make a broom that could shoot across the sky like a bolt of fire. What do you think about naming it the firebolt?"

Finally, Zhou Yu was able to make Zhou Shuyu happy. Soon, she left with He Yuanyuan to start her "business". Those toys had also been seen by Zhou Hao and other kids. Their eyes were wide open when they saw the toys. They all pretended that they wanted to help and took the opportunity to play with those toys. However, to Zhou Shuyu, those models were important goods, she did not want those kids to touch them at all. What if they scratched the models, then the price would go down.

Having been kicked out by Zhou Shuyu once again, Zhou Hao said gloomily, "brother Yu, that's not fair, you hid so many toys from us and did not give us a chance to play them."

Originally, it would only take an evening to make the aircraft carrier, however, those kids, especially Zhou Hao didn't have any patience, they wanted to see how it was made. So in the end, Zhou Yu reluctantly asked the beaver to finish half of the carrier first. Then Zhou Yu would personally finish the other half. Of course, he would not able to craft any small parts of the carrier. But those big parts, he was able to finish them under the beaver's instruction. This was why everyone was watching how the aircraft carrier was being made.

Only when he needed to do it personally did Zhou Yu realized that how skillful the beaver was. He had often thought that woodworking was as easy as building blocks, however, when he needed to do it, he realized how difficult it was. If it weren't for the fact that the beaver was constantly correcting his mistake, he would've probably made a big mess.

The noisy yard had also attracted some adults as well. Some were there to look for their kids. It was already the time for lunch, but those kids still didn't want to go home, so there would definitely be many brutal ass smacks later on.

However, the attention of those adults was soon attracted by the aircraft carrier as well. Seeing the magnificent aircraft carrier slowly formed its shape, they were all amazed by the skill that Zhou Yu suddenly had. Comparing the work done by the old man Zhang, whose job was to repair the broken furniture in the village, the beautiful work that this young man did, was completely on a different level.

Zhou Shuyu could only wait patiently on the side, while using her sharp eyes to scan this aircraft carrier. At the same time, she was trying to estimate the price of this carrier.

However, she had a vague feeling that she would not be able to sell this 'treasure'. With two meters long in length, it was too big! It would be a problem for shipping.

Only until Zhou Yu's stomach started to make hungry noise did he finally stopped assembling the parts. He was not a stranger to the scale models. It was just that since he started to live on his own, he didn't have any spare money to support him to build any.

After Zhou Shuyu took her share of the profit, she gave Zhou Yu the rest of the money, that she had earned in the past few days. She then tried to persuade Zhou Yu to sell the carrier. Of course, she knew that the possibility would be very low.

And as she had expected, after Zhou Yu took the money, he just smiled while shaking his head. Then he returned to his house to make his lunch. The kids that surrounded Zhou Yu were instantly relieved. Such a good toy, of course, they preferred to play it.

Zhou Yu might look very calm, but after he took several thousand Chinese Yuan, he also felt as if he was on cloud nine. As soon as he returned to his house, he immediately started to count the money.

A fiber of connection from miles away...



Our places on this earth are divided by oceans setting us apart from one continent to another. Several countries speaking several languages to understand each other. People with several cultures and beliefs. Different personalities and opinions.

In this chaotic world, we live in called real life we search for a place to escape from that reality. To be accepted as who or what we are. We have found that in the music we sing. In the books, we read. In the movies we watch. In the places, we travel and visit. Everywhere in which we get inspiration to face reality head-on.

We write stories or poems to inspire others, reading the words we weave from our own world. For some of us, it is simply an escape from reality into a world in which we can use our imaginations to dream make-believe or to live our secret fantasies or just plain be creative.

Getting on the web gives us more ways to share and get connected to other people with the same kind of thinking from across the ocean. Some of the people we meet along the way give us reasons to smile again. It's where we become friends, get to know them well, and get so close that we even trust them enough to share our own greatest fears.

I was a living a kind of living death when I found solace here on Stories Space. A place to write, camouflaging my hatred and sadness from myself when I was reading all the poetry and fictional fantasies created by the writers. I found another escape from reality and indulged in reading.

My feelings from my own troubles in life had made me feel so empty that only through laughter and reading could I be free and somewhat whole again.

I made my own heaven in purgatory.

A friend told me to write down all of my pains and troubles in poems or stories. Another friend of mine told me to be fierce in my poetry writing. I found friends who helped me give my own life a reason to continue living again through writing.

Writing makes me calm every time my mind gets into a panic mode. The pains and the fears of the unknown are my muses for writing.

When I met someone who understood me and made me feel needed and loved my poetry changed its tune. It made me think of happy thoughts. I got inspired by the things I saw and the happy memories of my childhood that I could write about.

Painful memories and realities were always there and so I wrote about them from time to time.

When that someone left me I continued writing. The same inner muse I had gained I used to keep on writing.

Then, out of nowhere, I got to know you. I became happy again. This time I got even more inspired and more creative, experimenting with my writings.

I set aside my shyness and reservations to write creatively. I still can't overcome some of my shyness and reservation but I am blooming, inspired by you.

You became my muse.

The man in the moon. The stars in my darkest hours. When at night I can't sleep thinking of you calms me to sleep.

The sunshine after the heavy storm. Where all the dead trees come to life again. That keeps me warm when everything gets chilly.

My own little heaven in my real life purgatory.

As they recounted their story they began wailing even more violently.


Nick sighed, he could see how much they suffered, even a grownup would have broken from all the stress and violent beatings, but these kids somehow managed to retain the love they carried for each other.


Seeing the two kids crying nonstop Nick could only console them, "Hey it's alright now, Big bro Nick is here!! Look at me, look at my muscles, look at my handsome face, nobody will bother you anymore, okay?"


Nick, did different kinds of poses bringing a smile to the kids' faces, "So does this mean big bro won't leave us?"


Nick frowned hearing their request, it would be troublesome to carry around two kids wherever he went, especially considering how he was now a cultivator who could get into a fight at any moment.


But then he looked at the kids' faces and all he could see was the dire hope that they could finally have someone to rely on, someone to shield them from the pains of this world like their father once did.


Sighing heavily and taking a deep breath Nick became resolute, "Big bro will never leave you alright, so you don't have to worry, but you have to listen to me no matter what I say because this world is extremely dangerous but I don't need to tell you that, so when I tell you to do something you do it without question understand?"


"Yes we understan.....waaaaaa" The little sibling could barely finish their sentence as they ran to hug Nick and started bawling violently, but these weren't tears of sadness like they were before, no, these were tears of joy.


It took them nearly half an hour to stop crying and by the end, both their eyes were violent red, but even then they didn't let go of Nick as if afraid that he would go back on his word and run away.


Nick could only accept that he would have to get used to being hugged by two kids while walking around, whatever it can be considered be weight training anyway.


As they walked out of the alley Nick asked them their names.


"I am Maggy and this is my little brother Dean."


"We're twins how can you be older!!"


"I am definitely older, I remember as soon as I was born I was thinking, 'I wish I had a little brother' then pop you came."


"You are utterly shameless! How can someone remember what happened as soon as they were born?"

"That's because girls have a better memory than boys!"


"No, they don't!"

"Yes, they do! If you don't believe me we can ask big brother! Aren't I right big brother?"

Nick was stumped, did she really expect him to support her claim that his memory was inferior to a girl's...

After they finished arguing they both looked up to him waiting for an answer.

"Well well well, if it isn't the thieving siblings, have you got our weekly payment ready?" A sudden voice sounded out behind Nick and the kids. But seeing the horror in the sibling's eyes when they heard that voice he could easily tell it must be the gangsters that forced the kids into child labor.

Nick slowly turned his head and found a group of people ten to twenty, glaring fiercely at the kids, but he was expressionless, he wasn't angry, scared, or disappointed, there was just a terrifying calm. 

He wouldn't be a hypocrite and pretend he stood for the weak, he was the type of person that did things on a whim, he would help those he wanted and found enjoyable, and ignore those that he didn't.

Since he had promised to take care of the kids he will now take them from this place regardless of who tried to stop him.

"I believe your grudge was with their father, and as far as I know, you have already taken his life which means these kids owe you nothing, I have now adopted these two, so back of and go back to wherever you came from!"

Nick didn't take this gang seriously, so what if they had more people only he knew how terrifying the amount of power coursing through his body was.

"What did you say boy?!!!" the voice seemed to be coming from behind the gang as they parted to reveal the speaker.

As soon as the person showed himself Nick immediately lost his cool, he started coughing violently and looked to be desperately trying to get some words out of his mouth.

"....you...cough...look like..cough..cough a blobfish...cough cough"

Every person on the street grew quiet and looked terrified, they had gotten used to this gang beating up people in broad daylight so they weren't really surprised about the confrontation, but no one had dared to insult the gang leader before.

Who couldn't see the resemblance, the nose whose tip touched his lips, the eyes that didn't have eyebrows, and lastly the wrinkly fatty skin hanging on every side as if to protect the owner shy neck, but no one has ever dared to say it before.

Nick stood there surprised, if insulting a gang leader could get him ten domineering points, what would threatening one get him?

"Boy, do you want to die?!!!! What part of me looks like a blobfish, you're the blobfish, your entire family is a blobfish!! I was tormented by my good looks ever since I was a child, my mother always said I was a work of art!!!"

"Yeah, maybe abstract art...fuck, was your mother blind or a professional liar and you dare to curse back at me, lets just insult each other then!!"

Nick was never afraid of anyone if it was a verbal battle, after all, he was surrounded with thugs growing up, back then, fuck you was a good morning, good afternoon, good evening, and good night!

"You started it!!!" the Blobfish said.


"Shut up....I...I...Slept with your mother!!"The blobfish said, but then he regretted it, what if he crossed the line and the boy killed himself in depression...how would he torture him then?

"Wow, that must have exhausted your entire vocabulary! Who knew you were ugly and Stupid?!!"

"Didn't you hear me...I slept with your mother!!" The blobfish was furious, why didn't he know other insults, as a reputable gang leader he must definitely expand his arsenal of vocabularies when he gets back.

"No way my mom would never sleep with a fish. But my dad...?"

Nick was having so much fun throwing insults around and if anyone asked him one of his favorite pass times in his last life it was defiantly googling creative insults and comebacks.

Feeling pleased with himself he looked back to check on the kids when he saw Maggy seriously writing his words down in rapt attention while Dean was just standing there in awe. Sigh is this what it means to give to the next generation? 

"Ahh, I will fight you to death!!! Chaaaarge!!!" The Blobfish was enraged, when had he been insulted this way. 


Nick didn't even look at the Blobfish as he was too busy watching his newly acquired 20 domineering points being taken to repay his debt. 

Dejected, he looked up and realized that the Blobgang were running over, he became even more depressed upon finding out the insult contest was over, but he still decided to get one last insult in before they fought.

"Sigh I would love to keep insulting you but I'm afraid I won't do as good a job as nature did, lets fight then!"

As soon as Nick finished his words his pupil tuned golden and released the dragon eyes suppressive effect.

The Blob gang just felt like an imaginary dragon was pressing them into submission.

Nick was surprised to find that his technique was made to act domineeringly, with his golden eyes he had made every Blob gang member kneel.

And in just a few seconds he had earned fifty domineering points. Now all he needed to do was keep it up.

"From now on your gang will be no more!!!"

Huh? It seemed it wasn't domineering when he just kept talking, immediately he took out a low-level spirit sword from his duffle bag and killed a person.

"Your all next!!!"

And he kept killing and yelling until he couldn't get any more points, after that he outright killed the others.

He wasn't even the least bit conscious when he killed them, cause they weren't good people and neither was he.

"Wow, did you see that, he must be an immortal, to protect two kids he slaughtered an entire gang!!"

'Yeah, so cool, so overbearing so...so domineering!!!"

Hearing their praise Nick waved his hands humbly as he crouched down and started collecting the spoils of his kill driving the whole crowd speechless, brother are you an immortal or a robber? 

After Nick finished he walked away in a suave manner, but it really was uncomfortable to walk while being hugged on both sides by the clingy siblings.

Nick's first life as a country renowned lawyer is ended by a group of thugs.

Waking up, he finds out that he was given a second chance in life.

With an overbearing system that exists to make him The Emperor.

"Hey system can you please be a little less domineering?"
