3rd- Faker, which I got by defeating the skeleton knight. This skill helps me fake my stats, always active.
4th- Excalibur, which I got when I was being roasted by the dragernix fire, always active, I can use it whenever I want, I would rather not use this, the feeling of being sucked dry.
5th- Levitate, this one is new, with this I can jump in air, always active.

The MC in this novel is not a typical hero, nor he is an anti-hero. He will do what he thinks is right, he only cares for himself and the people who love him.

Mc is an idiot in the game, he has no experience in the game whatsoever. He is a noob but he will use his intelligence to play the game.(So please don't complain in comments that mc is pathetic or he is an idiot)

The story will take place in both the real world and the game. It's like a slice of life but somewhat different. The story revolves around Mc, his girlfriend and people around them, but everything will be related to the game.

This can be spoiler but I suggest you read this, 

*Now let's talk about this novel, most people like Harem and some don't. You might be thinking that 'What is this idiot author doing by adding Harem in the novel even though MC already has a girlfriend', let me answer that question, I particularly don't like Harem, but it depends on the story plot.

There are certain novels, mangas, anime, which have Harem, but in the end only one girl wins or an open ending, I really hate when that happens, I really hate when any girl/Harem member cries because of that reason, so you don't have to worry about that in this novel because I WILL MAKE SURE THAT YOU CAN ACCEPT HAREM OF THIS NOVEL.(So will the MC and his girlfriend)

The article also argued that games and knowledge could be interlinked. If the only reason for banning of games was for a better result, then the children that came out of the educational system would be no different from an AI robot because they would merely be carbon copies of each other. For innovation and creativity, there had to be more than a marking system that relied solely on numbers. This article was actually directly against the educational scheme at the time, but it had at the very end of the article its trump card.
It was related to humanity's current situation in space. Humanity's condition was actually treacherous despite the illusion of safety. Under this situation, it was necessary for each individual to be a soldier. Of course, compulsory military service for all civilians was impossible as that was too unrealistic. However, the least they should do was ensure that each citizen could wield guns or pilot space vehicles at the most dangerous situations and not only hide. The best method to do this was not through compulsory military training but games.
Through simulation games, like spaceship simulators, human children could master these skills from young. Using humanity's current technology, the simulation of piloting these spacecraft was actually not much different from the real thing. If it was necessary, they could find the best players and cultivate them as future pilots. According to scientific research, the best players could actually pilot the Space Combat Jets used by Homo Evolutis. It was proven that their sense of dimensionality was actually not worse than that of the most basic Homo Evolutis. They were only lacking in the Homo Evolutis' sense of danger, but that could be cultivated through experience.
Due to this last paragraph, the article caught society's attention almost instantly. Even the government officials had read it. Guang Zhen asked the Academy the validity of the claim and it had been confirmed to be true. Right after that, he started promoting the commonality of gaming.

To make things worse, His Vice-President Lewis had died in a car accident last week. Lewis was the man Wilfred used to handle problems that needed "creative" solutions. Ultimately, he was just a pawn and would be replaced soon; however, the timing of both events was unfortunate. He almost suspected that this was a coordinated attack; however, he could not think of anyone in the gaming industry that would have the courage to fight against them.

Wilfred picked up his phone; It was his Chief Technology Officer. After two weeks, the attacks had finally stopped. Wilfred was glad to get the good news. Now he just needed to get a new VP and all his problems would go away. Wilfred started thinking about who to pick as the next VP.

Michael was doing research on ER games. He was trying to come up with a plan for the counter-attack on ER games. He could easily hack their games and shut down their servers; however, that would not give him any benefits. Michael always believed that one should slay his enemies in a manner that reaps the most benefits. Of course, there were some exceptions like personal vendettas; however, the issue with ER games was just a business rivalry. 

His first thought was to hack their bank accounts and steal the money; However, bank accounts of large corporations are often monitored. There would be a stop transfer before he could even get the cash. Then there is the issue of the paper trails such a heist would leave. Even if he routed the cash through many different accounts it would eventually be traced. Furthermore, the scope of the heist meant that several national agencies would start an investigation. 

ER games simply did not have enough cash for Michael to tolerate such investigations. He was trying to hide secrets that were worth 100 times more than ER games. However, that did not mean he was completely out of options. 

Michael discovered that ER games had recently built a data farm for all of their server needs. It was a huge investment that required loans from multiple international banks. The project's total bill came to an astonishing one billion dollars. The servers were custom built for ER games by Pintel.

Pintel is one of the largest tech companies and the leader in Chip manufacturing. The servers themselves were worth over 600 million dollars. The costly project was seen as an investment in the company's future. The savings from running their own servers would pay off the loans in less than ten years.

" Nice servers you got there, would be a shame if they just disappeared!" Michael spoke out loud.

The server farm was built in Texas; It was located in Taylor County. There was a plethora of wind farms and solar farms in the area; therefore electricity was quite cheap. ER games were initially going to build it in Mexico; however, they received huge incentives from the local government to build it in Taylor County. A server farm did not provide many jobs; so Michael knew that this was just another aspect of the corrupt government at work.

After a four-hour drive, Michael finally arrived near the outskirts of the server farm. He drove the car to a hotel in town and booked a room for a week. Then Michael started brainstorming different ways to attack the building. He could breach the network and control the cameras; He could also storm in and kill the guards.  The best method would be to use the camouflage potion to sneak in and acquire the servers. However, Michael stumbled on some interesting news. Next week the local high schools were touring the server farm; ER games were trying to organize community events like this for the sake of PR. Michael smiled and quickly started preparing for the show. 

A week later

Dozens of yellow school buses arrived at the gates of Greenridge Facility. This was one of the largest server farms in Texas. The facility was hosting a guided tour for all the local high schools. The students had just gotten back from the holiday break and were excited to go on a field trip.

Helen Waters was a Public Relations expert from ER games. She was in charge of the tour event for the students. It wasn't just the students; their parents were here too. Helen greeted everyone and started the tour. 

First, she started talking about the facility and all the effort that went into its construction. Most of the students were interested since they played games that were hosted at this very facility. She led them to see the massive air conditioning units that would cool the facility to keep the temperature down. Next was the command center, where all the servers were being monitored. The students loved seeing the massive screens with cool charts and graphs. 

Helen saved the server room for last since it was the main attraction. She had some satisfaction as she noticed the students stupified by the scale of the servers. However, she failed to notice one substitute teacher who had the look of greed in his eyes. 

The students turned around and walked back; nobody noticed the servers disappearing one by one. The monitoring team was still entertaining another group of students when one of the boys pointed at the monitor. 

" Look, The servers are gone. What happened?"

The technicians turned to stare at their monitor with ghastly faces. They quickly evacuated the students and started restarting the whole network hoping that it was a glitch. However, their hopes were slashed when they restarted the cameras.

" Helen, do you copy?" Helen's wireless radio started going off. 

She quickly answered and was informed that there was a colossal problem. Helen dismissed the students and immediately ran to the command room. Her face went pale when she saw the server room with no servers. She personally went and verified that they were really gone. With a frightful expression, she called her boss to let him know what happened. 

The children were heartbroken when they found out that the field trip was over and they were leaving. As the buses rolled out; sirens could be heard as cops came speeding in. In the back of a school bus, a substitute teacher was watching everything with a smile on his face.

Michael was just an ordinary boy living in modern-day America. He grew up in an orphanage with a bleak future. One day he acquired a mysterious package only to inherit a system. Join Michael as he changes his fate and conquers his destiny; armed with a mysterious system that tries to convince him to take over the world.

This is my first novel so I would appreciate any constructive criticism and support.

You know what I like to do. I like collecting rocks. I will go around life just collecting rocks. Rocks are great. They're pretty, hard and just awesome in general from being rocks. The Rock is also cool. A Roc is a scary in fantasy games. Rocks can be so many things. Rocks are also cool in the fact you can find gemstones inside them. Search up morganite. It's cool. This is because nothing happens and I'm bored and have a research paper due and I don't wanna do it. kill me...

We've all had that experience where we get so wrapped up in something that minutes turn into hours and hours turn into "Holy crap, I forgot to have dinner."

Supposedly, in his prime, Isaac Newton's mother had to regularly come in and remind him to eat because he would spend entire days so absorbed in his work that he would forget.

I used to be like that with video games. This probably wasn't a good thing. In fact, for many years it was kind of a problem. I would sit and play video games instead of doing more important things like studying for an exam, or showering regularly, or speaking to other humans face-to-face.

It wasn't until I gave up the games that I realized my passion wasn't for the games themselves (although I do love them). My passion is for improvement, being good at something and then trying to get better. The games themselves — the graphics, the stories — they were cool, but I can easily live without them. It's the competition with others and with myself that I thrive on.

And when I applied that obsessiveness for self-improvement and competition to an internet business and to my writing, well, things took off in a big way.

Maybe for you, it's something else. Maybe it's organizing things efficiently, or getting lost in a fantasy world, or teaching somebody something, or solving technical problems. Whatever it is, don't just look at the activities that keep you up all night, but look at the cognitive principles behind those activities that enthrall you. Because they can easily be applied elsewhere.

Naruto opened his eyes laying on an altar. The painted ceiling with scenes from the battle he saw with the horned man and nine beast were depicted in such color and realism it looked the painting had a life of it's own. Naruto could hear the sounds made by other players around him, the noises they created made is seem like he was standing in a market or a rush hour traffic.

But underneath all that noise the steady pings of system messages and the chanting's of priests and monks were interweaved into it. Naruto noticed limestone pillars, at least he thought it was limestone. It seemed to be made of some sort of white polished blocks. It's surface was smooth and just like the ceilings carried depictions of stories. But these ones were from different parts of the horned mans life.

The entire setting of this place was rather gothic, so Naruto deduced he was either in a church or temple. He felt the altar beneath him, it seems to be made of the same time type of stone as the pillars, but for some reason it was extremely warm and comfortable.
Naruto got up from the altar as his gaze swept around the building. He was right about it being a temple. To his right were nine massive ten meter statues that stretched all the way to the top of the ceiling, which Naruto noticed were quite far away. Yet he could see them almost as if they were right in front of his face.

This were probably the main Gods of the game, though he wondered if any of them had any relationship  with the nine beasts he saw at the beginning of the game. There was a flashing icon right in front of Naruto. Floating in the air. It was the symbol of a book with info written on top of it. Naruto pressed the icon and a screen sprung into existence in front of him.

CHAPTER NINE: UNDEAD RACES
PARAGRAPH SIXTEEN, LINE FOUR: VAMPIRES:
[The vampire race are the supreme rulers of the night and creatures of the edge. While vampires are mostly associated with evil due to their lust for blood and their weakness to the sun. They are not evil. The vampires much like any other race not demon like have a capacity for good and evil. But mostly vampires are known as the lost ones.
Born from the unholy union of Nuwa the mother of life and Shinigami one of the aspects of death, the vampire are a race in a constant battle with their self. Cursed by their own mother and neglected and used by their father the vampires had learn to live for themselves.
They deign attachments and emotions like love and family utterly useless and unwanted. They are cool headed and objective and only take decisions for their own gains. Vampires are one of the most powerful races on the Tsuki continent. But they are and will be forever Alone.]

Naruto suddenly felt that being a vampire seems to be more problematic than it was worth. The backstory behind his chosen race ended with a rather depressing tone. Naruto looked around and saw a lot of players making swiping gestures with their left hand. He did the same and a new screen popped up in front of him carrying the games menu interface.

Most of the names listed could explain themselves. The community tab had a sub menu that listed a friend list, guild, party and enemies list. So in a way it took care of the communications aspects of the game.
Naruto opened the skill Menu, and its setup surprised him immensely.

This was insane. In other games he had played Naruto had never seen anything like company, faction, and created skills. Party and guild skills were in some games but were still a rare commodity. It seemed that hexagon were really willing to go beyond and above to give its players an entirely unique experience.

But Naruto was most excited for the created skills tab, the very idea of him creating and having his own set of unique skills has now made this game a whole lot more unpredictable and enticing.  Of course he was sure true developers would find a way to balance the whole thing out. General skills could be countered if other players already knew the process for the skill release.
This had made many games predictable and bland over the years, forcing a lot of players to rely mostly on normal attacks to stand a chance in a fight. But now with a personalized skill, even with the general skills available to every other player this would make battle more unpredictable and bring a degree of realism to the game, that was missing in a lot of other VR games.
Every other skill tab was empty except for the active and passive skills. It seemed he was given some skills to start with.

ACTIVE SKILLS:

[RACIAL] BITE: ( BEGINNER LVL 0):
bite your opponent in the neck or vein to cause a confirmed 2% damage. Drains an extra 2% damage for every second the skill is still initiated. Player is rendered immune to physical attacks for the first five seconds of the skill usage.( note player is still susceptible to magic attacks during this period, with a +1% extra damage to every magic attack received) at the end of the skill all health drained is used to recover stamina bar and heal player of any injuries.( Cost 2 chakra points to use), ( cast time= instant),( cool down time= 5 minutes). Chakra cost and cool down time will increase at every skill level gained.] 

[RACIAL] SHIFT: ( BEGINNER LVL 0)
Gain the ability to transform into a bat for sixty seconds. Racial skills can still be used in this form. Gain the ability to turn into a Snake at the intermediate level, a wolf at professional and a creature of choice at master. Movement speed is increased by 10% in shifted forms. ( cost 5 chakra points to use.), ( cast time 3 seconds), ( cool down time is 280 seconds). Cost and cool down time will increase every skill level gained till player is at the professional proficiency level, while cast time will reduce every level from the intermediate level. At master level skill will require no cast time, and no chakra points to initiate becoming a true racial skill. But cool down time will still remain.] 

[RACIAL] STRIDE: ( BEGINNER LVL 0):
Increase movement speed by 30% when cast. ( note this skill can also be used by other races, to higher or lesser degrees than vampires. As such it is a general racial skill, shared by multiple species.) ( cost 20 chakra points) ( cast time instant) ( cool down time 400 seconds). Cost and cool down time increase by two in every proficiency level. While duration increases in every skill level gained.] 

[RACIAL] CLING: (BEGINNER LVL 0) :] 
Walk, run, fight on all solid surface. From walls to roofs, to cliff faces. Grants the ability to defy gravity and the laws of physics for a 150 seconds. ( cost 13 chakra points) ( cast time instant) ( cool down time 7 minutes). Cost increases every skill level gained, while cool down reduces every skill proficient level gained.

[WARRIOR] SLASH: (BEGINNER LVL 0):
Generate a high powered cut to deal +70% extra damage. 10% chance to deal a critical hit and cause a knock back effect. ( cost 5 chakra points) ( cast time instant) ( cool down time 30 seconds). Cost and cool down time increase every skill level gained.] 

Naruto was surprised by how many skills he had right off the start of the game. Of course he had four racial and one class active skill that were still at the bottom level. But he could not imagine how strong he could become then. Especially for the shift skill, at the master level, Naruto was going to make himself a giant, fire breathing Orange dragon.
Why Orange you might ask...well because its awesome. Next Naruto checked his passive skills, hoping for more pleasant surprises.

PASSIVE SKILLS:

[RACIAL] DRINKER:(BEGINNER LVL 0)
All vampires need blood to survive. But this skill drains the strength and abilities of a Vampire's enemies. It works hand in hand with the active skill bite. Has a 1% chance to siphon 10% of an opponents highest stat. A 5% chance to increase strength by 50% for 100 seconds. Chance percentage increases every skill level gained.] 

[RACIAL]: CURSE OF THE SUN :( MAX LVL 0):
This curse was placed on the vampire race by their mother Nuwa. Disgusted by the creation of a forced union, and conceived by an act of **** and trickery. Nuwa had cursed the Vampire's to never see the light of day, but to forever wander the darkness where her love and light would be denied them. -200% to all stats and skills during the day time. Player takes 150% burn damage every time they are touched by direct sunlight. Curse can be negated by certain magical accessories and armor.] 

[RACIAL] FLIT: (BEGINNER LVL 0):
-30% of all fall, stumble, knock back effect on player. +30% to all running, jumping, leaping and flying actions. Percentage increase with every skill level gained.] 

[RACIAL]: REGENERATION: ( MAX LVL 0):
Regenerate 10% of damage received every 10 minutes, effectiveness increases at night and in dark places by 50%. Percentage increases every skill proficient level gained. ( this skill is also shared by other races outside of the vampire species to varying greater and lesser degrees).

[RACIAL]: NIGHT WALKER: ( BEGINNER LVL 0):
 Increase all abilities by 20% at night and in dark places. +35% to all stealth skills. Percentage increases every skill proficient level gained. At master level the skill can evolve to NIGHT RULER. ( NOTE this racial skill is shared by the dark elves and some of the demon species.)

[ WARRIOR]: WEAPON PROFICIENCY: { SPECIALIZATION PENDING}: ( BEGGINER LVL 0):
This skill increases weapon damage by 10%. And attack speed by 10%. This skill can not go past the beginner level until a specialization is chosen. Then the skill changes to be the proficiency of the weapon chosen for specialization.] 

Naruto had a lot of work cut out for him, But the curse of the sun prevented him from doing anything during the day time. Naruto was sure that regardless of how OP a vampires skill was, they were truly limited in what they could do unless at night.
As for the special accessories and armor, Naruto could not imagine how expensive those were going to be. But where there's a will there's a way. Besides this was the beginner town. There should be immunity for him.

Naruto made a beeline for  the massive double wooden doors that made up the entrance of the temple completely disregarding every other person in his way. He drew a lot of looks, but Naruto was on a mission. He could care less about this other players.
As soon as he got to the doors, he could see the dividing line of a sunlight lit outdoor, and the shadowed and Protected doorstep of the temple. He tentatively stuck his hands outside. And then.

" Ahhhhhh!!!!"

Well no one could say the launch day was not amusing for the players in the temple. A lot of them were already recording the video of a noob player who made the racial choice of vampire and then decided to go outside in what could only be high noon, and got burnt for his efforts.
Naruto took a while to calm down. His hand were blistered red, burnt so badly he hardly recognized it. He realized being a vampire was not going to be as easy as he thought it would be. If he was playing to be a ranker, he would be very much behind other players who were capable of playing during the day time.

Naruto's hand eventually started to heal at a rate visible to the eye. In fifteen minutes every damage he had sustained had already been healed. As he contemplated his choice of a race, the shadow of a person covered him.
Naruto could not help but drop his jaw at how extravagant this person looked. His hair was bright pink, and as spiky as Naruto's in real life. He had a white scarf around his neck, while he wore what could only be a vest, leaving his chest bare to the world. And below that was a white three quarter trouser.

" Hey Vampire, are you ok?"

Naruto was still a little miffed by his face to face experience with the curse of the sun so he replied testily.

" My name is Menma, not vampire and do I look ok to you."

" don't go being mad at me, I am not the sun, and how could I have I known that you names is Menma. I am not a mind mage you know. And even if I am, its rude to read someone else's memories. It goes against my duties as a dragon slayer and mage of fairy tail to do such things."

" Aye!"

What the hell was wrong with this dude, and since his back was turned to him Naruto could not see the expression on this strange guy's face. Besides how could his voice change all of a sudden.
" don't be stupid, you should be able to see my IGN...oh. You're…..you're an NPC."

" what's it with you travelers calling me an NPC. My name is Natsu Dragneel, dragon slayer and the strongest mage in the fairy tail guild, you got that."

" aye, yeah you got that? We wouldn't want to repeat ourselves."

Naruto was surprised, the Name Natsu Dragneel was floating over the head of this guy, but the main mode of attraction was the blue feline floating above him, with the name of happy.

" That's a flying cat?"

" yeah, you got a problem with that."

" yeah, do you. And my name is happy do you have any fish."

" It's a flying talking cat."

" are you stupid or something I said that already didn't I?"

" Yes you did. Well then nice to meet you happy, Natsu. I am sorry for my earlier outburst. I was having an off day."

" yeah no problem its not as if I was angry or something."

Naruto took a little step to really examine this two…..well man and cat in front of him. It was almost impossible to notice, but Natsu's skin had some sort of ligaments and patterns on it that almost looked like...….scales!. It was strange, since Natsu did not look anything like a lizard man.
As for the cat, apart from being blue and can talk, he had wings that spanned a foot and a half from left to right. But its way of flying showed no indication he was using the wings, but some sort of floating magic.

" So what are you and happy doing here Natsu?"

" Oh well, our guild had a mission to subjugate a hydra that was terrorizing this capital city almost a month ago. But we caused extensive damage and now I was chosen as a scape goat to serve community service for two months. My job today was to clean the temple. My team mates already left me, the traitors."

" Natsu you know you were the one who caused the most damage. That's why you were chosen."
" That's a lie, gray froze an entire orphanage."

" Which of course would be fine just as long as the ice melts, which might I remind you is already done. You on the other hand burnt the royal palace to the Ground. You are lucky the king of the Shinokawa kingdom was grateful enough to not care about the destruction or you would already be dead."

Natsu started grumbling inaudibly to himself about how unfair life was and that a stripper was supposed to be punished too.
Naruto did not care. But when he looked at this guys, all he could smell was a quest opportunity around the corner. Lets see how far this goes.

" Natsu. If you want, I can help you clean the temple. As you can see I have no where to go as it is, being a vampire and all."

" Really? You would really help us?" Happy asked in surprise

" yes of course. You've both been nice to me when everyone else was laughing at me. I want to return the favor."

" You are the nicest traveler I have ever met,( sniff) all the other ones kept calling me a pet even when I told them I was Natsu's best friend. Some even called me a quest reward. But you were so nice to me, even if you don't have fish, we will be friends forever."

" yeah that's right Happy, your reward for helping us, is our undying friendship. For now and forever."

" Aye.. wait what?"

" Lets go."

You're tired of cliché weapons. You feel a regular sword or giant cleaver is overdone, and as a result look at less then lethal options such as blunt weapons in return.

The truth is, you don't have to.

You don't have to set your character up for slaughter against bladed opponents by going for blunt weapons, whilst making claims that due to one thing or another these weapons suit the situation and their use. 

ENJOY!

One thing that I often notice in fics and novels is that people why away from bladed weapons, like a Katana in favor of a Staff, because they feel the former is cliché and the latter original.

The truth is, that there are better options.

If your character enters melee life or death combat situations with a LTL (Less than Lethal) or Blunt weapon, on a frequent basis because of his occupation. Then you have ruined your character already.

Blunt weapons are only meant for LTL action, such as self defence, non lethal vigilantism and caving in metal armor. That is not to say they cannot be used for lethal purposes. They are just less efficient to do so. 

As such, if you make a ninja, assassin, or warrior of some kind that frequently finds him or herself in lethal combat situations without a fully armored European Knight or its equivalent infront of them, then it is suicide to not meet that opposition with the same level of force or higher.

If the end result is death either way, then a competent character will streamline their efficiency in sending their opponents to the afterlife as expedient as possible. 

Now, I bet you're thinking something like: but swords are overrated. With something like a European longsword or Katana in mind. 

Perhaps you're even thinking of the giant blades some fandoms have, but those are not your only options by a long shot. 

Here are some bladed weapon types that are just as cool, less used and that can give some flare and individuality to your character:

1. Polearms
One of the most overlooked bladed weapons that are known to excel in 1 on 1 combat are Polarms. They come in different types and sizes such as the poleaxe meant to hold back an armored opponent, up to Glaives and Naginata's which are meant to hold an opponent at bay much like a spear, but are centered around cutting more than stabbing. 

The downside of these large weapons, is the environment in which they are suited for. They need a lot of open space, so if your story takes place in a forest, large cutting type weapons will be at a major disadvantage. 

That said, stabbing stabbing weapons such as a spear, are not.

2. Chinese War blades.
These badass cutters and choppers would look cool even in that hands of the biggest of men and smallest of women if simply scaled up or down along with their size. 

They are unique enough to Warent their own fighting style and not be reminiscent of Katanas and longsword in either way. 
......... 

3. Kodachi
These are essentially short swords that are the perfect lenght for urban and forest combat. Often a choice for duel wielding characters in games and movies. 

They're upclose and personal, efficiënt and sleek, perfect for a ninja or assassin. 
......... 

4. Kama / Sickles 
Despite the numerous depictions of nina wielding variations of these in older online media, they haven't been seen much in anime or games. 

Despite that, they offer wicked varieties to them such as a ball and chain varient, that will allow you to build up a trick and skill based combat style for your character. 
......... 

5. Sai
Perhaps best known in Western hemispheres due to characters like Carmen Elektra and the Ninja Turtle Rafael, Sai are brutally cool and niche weapons. 

They are meant to assassinate, catch, snap and counter blades in a duelwield fashion.

6. Tomahawks
Anyone who knows about Native American history knows just how lethal these little choppers are. Well balanced, they can be thrown with lethal efficiency with power behind them that will knock your opponent off his feet, as they chop into the skull. 

Tomahawks are a form of one-handed war axes, that you will often see used for duel wielding in movies and games. They're one of the cheapest, most lethal and versatile killing tools to date.

7. Fist weapons / Arm Blades
Anyone who has seen wolverine in action or perhaps a predator from the AVP series will know just how awesome, niche and Over Powered these weapons can be. 

They come in a large variety of sizes and mounting positions, and are even seen among traditional ninja tools. The best thing is that they can be part of your characters armor, gauntlets and what not.

8. Chakram / Circle Blades
These circular cutters are meant to be duelwielded, and a favorite with many variations to them in video games.

If you're looking for originality, then this is pretty much as good as it gets. If you have a very dynamic combat style in mind for your character, then this is one weapon type that you have to consider.

9. Battle Axes
Mostly known in the common shape of an axe, there are varieties, such as the Panabas, that are absolutely lethal choppers.

Somewhere between the size of a pole arm and regular blade, these weapons rarely lack individuallity or lethality. They are perfect for two handed Close Quarter Combat as their size and weight is entirely depended on the type of battle axe.

If you have a strong character or one based on brute force, then this is most likely the best weapon for the..

10. Zanbato and simularly large blades
These swords are oversized killing machines. Forget about quick drawing these because they are too large for you to remove from their sheaths after battle has commenced.

Often depicted as Large Claymores, these weapons come in a lethal and creative variety, that include swords simular to Okatana's and Nodachi. They make the perfect cavalry crippling swords, and are a right pain to deal with in 1 on 1 combat.

The only downside is, that much like pole arms, they're useless indoors and in forests.

I hope this collection of bladed melee weapons will have sparked the imagination and ideas you have for characters!

After all, there is a limit to how much a wooden staff can take when facing one of these bad boys. Especially in fics with a supernatural enhancement for cutting power and the likes.

Thoughts and Idea's with regards to fanfictions, builds for characters, weapons and more.

I'm not an author, my interests in a concept don't last long enough to write it and I am admittedly not the strongest in writing a decent dialog.

I'm someone who is Hyper Aware of a lot of things, and one of them is if something severely lacks. Whilst I can do art Inspite of that, I just can't bring myself to write dialog that doesn't feel perfectly natural.

That said, I do often write drafts for stories, sometimes I even manage a chapter worth of dialog that any author would be proud to own, but when it's about the baseline that I achieve for my dialogs, then I prefer not to publish.

However, I do have ideas, so many ideas and thoughts on things that I feel the need to express them. Hopefully, they will be of help for authors, who are feeling stuck or unsure how to develop their story, or want to write one but are unsure about what to write.

So, long story short. What follows are drafts for fics and stories. Ideas on how to build a convincingly strong character without needing all those rediculously overpowered bloodlines and abilities.

Ideas on how to develop abilities and exploit them, that you might not have thought to try.
