"Why isn't she a fan of office romance, by the way?"
Tohru James looked up from the sofa towards the speaker. He was a man in his late twenties with a playful demeanor. Alex Li, Hong Kong's business king grinned at him as he stood behind Kang Jinho with his cue stick, waiting for his turn.
"They're a natural phenomenon, aren't they?" he added with a wink.
"Well, not all are office playboys like you, you know?" their eldest, Park Yushin, a handsome man in his late thirties teased.  
"That's right big bro Alex. An ultimate playboy like you can't understand," Michael Chen, another hunk in his late twenties teased.
The others in their group, Liam Kang, Alvin So, Jason Tan, Peter Choi, Henry Song, and Jung Yunho, all dashing and successful young men joined in on the bullying. After all, among all of them, Alex was the Casanova with a reputation – but that was before he met and married his wife.
"Hey, stop ganging up on me and just answer the question," Alex countered as he pointed at Tohru. "We're trying to help you out here, Little Brother. But we can't do that if we don't know the history."
With that kind of reasoning, of course, nobody would try and tease him anymore. Tohru James, on the other hand, sighed heavily, and so the others' interest in knowing the story became stronger. All eyes were on their youngest, waiting for him to speak. They all knew that after Yanee Lee did her interview, Tohru immediately had someone investigate her background to know more about her. Why?
The lovesick fool couldn't ask the girl about herself in the entire week they spent time together during the interview…
"Well?" Peter prompted, and Tohru sighed again.
They were right anyway. He couldn't keep things from them since they'd literally crossed continents to help him out. Most of these men were abroad on their business trips when their wives called and asked them to give their youngest the "godly assist". Well, Tohru also knew they mostly got threatened by their wives too if they didn't cooperate, but nevertheless, he appreciated them.
All ten men were his big brothers – close friends he treated like family.
"Bad experience," Tohru James answered blandly.
When they talked about relationships during the interview, Yanee had immediately unknowingly shot his plans of normal courtship. The moment she said she's not interested in romance – most especially the ones at the workplace, Tohru got curious as to why. To understand her better, he had resorted to a security agency to check her background.
Lo and behold, the girl he had taken an interest in was highly allergic to romantic relations due to a jerk at her former office. She had been green in the field of work and romance then. She had started working at a small publishing company in Nagoya and was assigned to help out at an editor's office for her training.
"A former superior took advantage of her naivety in her former work. She fell in love but realized too late she was nothing but a game to him,"Tohru told his friends with a grim expression.
"What a jerk," Henry commented with a scowl.
"The guy flirted shamelessly but he was already engaged to be married," Tohru continued the story blandly.
"Death," Peter announced. "Do you want us to kill the jerk?"
"Why would you bother?" Jinho countered. "If the guy wasn't a jerk then Yanee would have been with him and our Little Brother's love life would be nonexistent."
Tohru sighed. He already thought about that. He initially wanted to hunt down the guy and punish him on Yanee's behalf, but didn't because if he was a nice guy then she wouldn't have transferred to Tokyo where they met.
And she would have been another man's girl right now.
Tohru read in the report that Yanee was obviously taken with the guy and worked really hard for his sake. He also read that she fell into depression when he got married.
"Anyway, what are we going to do again?" Alvin asked.
Among all the guys, he was the only one whose wife was not able to explain things well. He just knew that Tohru needed help, but as to why and how, he had no idea.
"Yunjae and the girls will be doing interviews with Yanee for the book anthology. It's called Office Diaries," Yushin explained.
"And the book is for?"
"It's to make Yanee realize that Office Romance can be real by sharing our stories," Jason quipped as he popped a cracker in his mouth and chewed. "We're going to be characters in a book."
Alvin was amazed as he looked at Tohru. "You really are publishing this book?"
Tohru snorted and nodded his head. "It's going to be a secret project, alright? Can you imagine my name having to do with anything romantic?"
All men in the room shook their heads. Tohru James was a celebrity editor, but he had never, ever made a project related to romance before. His cool image would be forever shattered.
"Poor girl. She'd be mad when she realizes what she's working hard for," Alvin commented.
Kang Jinho, however, had a different take on the situation. "She's working hard to realize that happiness can be found with her boss – the boss who's crazy in love with her."
"Not bad," Alvin remarked afterwards. "What else do you need Little Brother?"
With this Tohru smiled. "Your wives already arranged for everything. All I need is for that woman to notice me," he said sulkily, making everyone laugh.
"Well, good luck on that," Jason stated, just as Tohru's phone rang.
Tohru saw Yanee's name on the caller ID and he signaled for the guys to be quiet. "Yes?"
"Boss, is there some kind of a mistake here?"
Yanee's voice sounded confused, making Tohru smile. By now, she's already at the hotel, and she's probably wondering why she's being treated, first class.
"What mistake?" He kept his tone casual and cool, making his big brothers smile.
"The accommodations are over the top. I feel like Cinderella here," she confessed, making his smile bigger as he continued to listen to her story about the manager personally picking her up from the airport and so on.
"Don't worry. The accommodation's all from our sponsor. They're eager for this project so you have to work hard in return," he added as he gave a salute to Yushin, the sponsor who owned Grand Blue Hotels.
After that, Yanee seemed to calm down and said goodbye.
"She's freaking out?"Yushin asked with amusement dancing in his eyes.
"Big Sis Jisoo gave her the presidential suite. Who wouldn't freak out?"Tohru laughed as he reached for his drink and raised his glass.
The others followed suit. "To the greatest project of Tohru James," Kang Jinho announced, and they all clinked their glasses for the toast.  


An Office Romance Anthology...

- This story is mainly related to the game, but it's in a different universe, where it's the same character, but with additional characters added, with a different story, and different outcome, hence why it's called an AU.
- This has nothing to do with IF (Inverted Fate, which is a very cool, neat story written by Dorked), and it's not an AU in another AU. The name sounds like it's from IF, but it's not.
- It's a work in progress, sorry. Ya gonna have to wait.
- This book WILL contain some slang, and unnecessary words (also known as swear words). Please read at your caution.
- Now, a lot of people might complain about the fact that Chara is a girl. Technically, the gender is not classified, so I'm just going with the random. Sorry if it disturbs or dissatisfied you (and no, not anything related to LGBTQ).
- Some characters might feels "odd", like Flowey and Toriel in some chapters. That is my point of view on these characters, and how I try to incorporate them into the story is entirely upon the effects I want the main character to have (also known as Noob).
- Sorry for short chapters. Just the way I write.
- Sorry for plot-holes. I'll try to get those fixed up and explained thoroughly to solve any misconceptions. Please ask away if you're confused at any part!

* The concept of this AU, as I said before, is in the story of Undertale, the original game. An AU, or an Alternate Universe, is a universe where all the characters have same characteristics of the original game, but different story, and named locations. An Alternative Timeline is simply the story of Undertale, still, except there is a change in a timeline that basically creates a new story, with the same character. The story Consoled Fate though, is really in the middle, as there is a "change" in the timeline, but the change in the timeline changed the whole story, and the characters with different characteristics, and the story itself. So really, there is not an official way to say how Consoled Fate is, AU or AT. I have trouble trying to determine the possibility of the route of the story as I'm a 14 (now 15) year old guy trying to write this. So after thinking about this topic for quite some time, I decided to called this story an Alternate Universe Timeline, as it combines the concept of both types of story. The story here is 100% by me (besides that Undertale recreation part), although there might be some parts where it might sound like copying, but I really did this by myself.

* A lot of these concepts are also drawn (although I'm not good at art), and sometimes stories can be redrawn into a comic or animated. I would love to animate sections of the story, but I just need to learn about animating. Feel free to do artwork/redraws/comics! I would love to see your creativity!

* This was all mainly all by me, but was inspired from the good part of the Undertale community, and the beautiful game itself, I suppose. The idea of creating an AU was already in mind for me the day I watched these Undertale's creative world, where it has a nice written story, and a solid plot. These good side of the community helped me to take an inspirational step, and create this story right here. I also enjoyed writing a lot about fiction, so I thought writing this would be a perfect idea for a bored 14 years old to do. All the plot was laid out by me, and the art concept (which can be found later on) was also by me. The idea though, didn't come from me. It came from the respected owner of Undertale (whom was Toby "Radiation" Fox), and the creators of these awesome Undertale communities. That's what made me decide to do this.

* The story is always going through revisions and therefore, not all events are official, until published. The roles for later books can be changed, which causes the story to take a different route. Therefore, I lose progress, which forces me to rewrite that whole specific character. That's why the novel is not going to be constantly updated (I plan a lot of these plots mentally).

* So without anymore interruptions, I hope you enjoy the story of Consoled Fate! Please leave any constructive criticisms or comments, and I'll try to improve upon your request. And last but not least, please like and vote my novel if you enjoyed the story :D

They say that hope usually dies last, but not the case with a young boy named Noob, who was tormented from his very childhood, up until as a teen. All of this changed, when he fell down to the Underground in an act of exploration. Throughout the events in the Underground, he soon to view it as his own home, and a place to grow a new foundation. A new world where he must protect against those who’s going to try and ruin his “paradise”.

The twins turned to look at the incomer. It was a handsome young man with a charming pair of eyes that had been labelled the nation's most beautiful eyes. His blonde hair was slightly messy, emitting a vibe that was a little dangerous but also irresistible. It was not easy to count the girls that had been charmed silly by him. 
Adrian was not that fazed, but Ariana was overjoyed and she jumped onto him. "Uncle Fengxiao!" 
Lin Fengxiao picked up the little girl. "Little beauty, did you miss me?" 
"Uh-huh. I missed Uncle Fengxiao very much." 
"Really? You missed him more than you missed me?" A cool voice interrupted. Only then did the little girl notice the young lad behind Lin Fengxiao. "Third Uncle!" 
After hugging her third uncle Lu Xian Yu, the little girl fell into deep thought. She really wanted to play with her third uncle, but Uncle Fengxiao was really too handsome and she wanted to play with him too. And these two didn't get along that much. Who should she choose? 
As for why Lin Fengxiao and Lu Xian Yu didn't get along, could there possibly be any other reason? 
This punk, Lin Fengxiao, was trying to get close to his sister. Getting close to his sister wasn't a crime but the girls that this man had fooled around with could fence the entire city twice. How could he stand it? 
Of course, Lin Fengxiao believed in his own charm.

Soon, Lu Meili was speaking with Katy and the twins were playing with their great grandfather. The other men were discussing whatever it was that men discussed when gathered together. Seeing that everyone was occupied, Lin Fengxiao grabbed the opportunity to go over to Lu Xian Li who was out for a breather. 
The young woman was wearing a long champagne colored gown that was backless. Her long straight hair fell down her waist, slightly revealing slivers of her back when the wind blew on it. 
She exuded elegance from head to toe, and her beauty was sure enough to send any man into a craze. Lin Fengxiao was no different. He walked over slowly and revealed one of those irresistible smiles. 
"Hello, Xian Li. It's been long since we last saw." 
Lu Xian Li turned around and faced the young man. "Hello, cousin." 
Lin Fengxiao felt a stab in his heart. C-c-cousin? 
"Do you need something, cousin?" Lu Xian Li asked, deliberately emphasizing the last word. 
She was a grown up woman. How could she not tell this young man's intentions? He obviously treated her as a girl he could flirt with. 
Not only did she not want to have anything to do with a flirtatious man like him, he had bullied her a great deal when they were kids. 
"I'll go back then. My sister must be looking for me." She said and sauntered away. 
"Little Feng." A voice called out when he was about to follow her. 
Lin Fengxiao turned and looked at the newcomer. "Grandma." 
Lin Fengxiao had grown up loving Xia Rou more than anyone else. Although he knew that Xia Rou was not his grandmother and Lin Zhou was not his grandfather, the two of them had doted on him all his life. It was hard to not consider them his real family. 
Xia Rou took the young man's hand and examined him. "You youngsters! What's so good about losing weight? Look how skinny you are. Do you want to break grandma's heart?" 
Lin Fengxiao immediately pacified the old lady. "How can that be? If grandma wants me to mot lose weight, I will eat a little more." 
Xia Rou finally smiled at how obedient he was. If she said to go east, he would go east. And if she said to go west, he would go west without questioning her. 
"Grandma, please smile more. You are so beautiful when you smile." 
"You punk. You know that you have done something wrong, don't you?" Xia Rou admonished, though her eyes were full of love. 
"Huh, grandma? What could I possibly do?" 
"Little Feng, listen to grandma, okay? Xian Li is my granddaughter and therefore your cousin. You cannot play with her. Do you understand?" 
The young man looked like he had lost a life. "Grandma, I understand." 
Xia Rou patted his shoulder. "Of course, if you seriously like her to the point that you no longer play around with other women, if you love her deeply enough to want to marry her, I will not have any objections since you are not biologically related." 
"Thank you grandma!" The young man hugged her tightly and ran off to find Lu Xian Li. 
"Haiz... the children have all grown up." Xia Rou revealed a smile.
She had no more regrets. She found back her Little Wan, her Lihua got married, Xuanxuan got married too and now, she was thinking about her grandchildren. Well, that was pretty much settled too. 
Meili had a lovely pair of twins and a husband who loved her to the heavens, Xian Yu was doing well in the business field and Katy had a son now. As for Xian Li and Fengxiao, that was not for her to discuss. Fate would take its course.

"ok kirua, here we are" "thanks for the ride uncle Takasu" "oh and your mom said that she won't be home till tomorrow so I'm going to look after you tonight "ok, bye" as Kirua steps out of the car he can feel his stomach drop 'so many people' there were about one hundred kids of all ages around the front of the school playing games and talking on there phones 'no' he said to himself 'I can't let my anxiety get the better of me' he says to himself as he walks toward the school.

After walking around for a bit he found an empty space under a shady tree, he almost ran towards it as he decided that this would be his new spot to sit, took off his backpack and pulled out a small notebook and a pen. This notebook was his diary and research book he noted everything that happened to him down in this book including all the things he did with his quirk and training he could do to strengthen it.

He was in the middle of writing down some observations about the kid in the school when a kind voice rang from behind him "I see you have noticed the lack of powerful quirks too" he sup around to see a girl around his age with fair skin hazel eyes and black hair tied up into a high ponytail, he knew who this was or at least a suspicion so before taking any more with her he decided to confirm her identity, "who are you?" "my name is Momo Yaoyorozu, but you can just call me momo, and this," she said while pulling a kid out from behind the back of the tree "is Shoto Todoroki, but just call him shoto" his stair turned into one of shock and so did momos' as they looked at kirua "you eyes" they both said in unison, quickly understanding what they meant he concentrated on his eyes and they went back to normal "what was that?" they again said in unison, he went on to explain his quirk leaving out the part about having to eat human flesh that he and his mom bought from the morgue, he didn't want to tell them and have them think he is was a freak, "that sound like a pretty good quirk" said momo as she smiled at kirua, his heart was racing as he sat next to two of his favourite characters and one of them he had developed a crush on and even had posters of in his room in his past life "what about you two?" "well I can create thing out of the lipids in my body" "and I can make ice with one side of my body and fire with the other" kirua smiled "they both sound like really good quirks, you guys should be heroes" Momo gave a slight blush while Todoroki smiled "thanks" they both said.

Momo and Todoroki sat next to him and discussed various things like home, school, things that they liked to do and most important heroes. All of them had seen the video of all mights day view and really wanted to be heroes in the future, their discussion was cut short by the bell ringing as it was now time for class.

<Another time skip: after school finished>

The school was now over and as he went outside he saw his uncle's limo driver waiting for him with a crowd starting to form "wow who's it there to pick up?" "probably some rich senior" "But wouldn't we have seen it before?" "many it's a new transfer student?" all these were comments made by the older kids, as he was about to say bye to Momo and Todoroki and make his way to the limo he had an idea, one that would definitely change the plot of the anime by a lot but still one that would ultimately be a lot more beneficial for his friend Izuku, "hey Momo Todoroki" they both looked back at him "do you guys want to come over to my place and play with me and my other friend" they both smiled "yeah, that's cool with me, I don't have to be home till 5:00 anyway I'll just have to call my mum" "same here, and it would be cool to see were you live and to also to meet your friend" they both followed kirua to the limo with shocked expressions on their faces and all the kid that were already crowded around it were going crazy to find out that the limo was for a little kid.

"Hmmm... Why am I in some Xianxia BS?" Yun scratched his head and wondered why he was in this particular place. He was really worried, drips of sweat came down from his forehead. Indeed very worried.

"Bye bye toilets paper... Bye my 20 terabytes of hen- I mean homework. Goodbye instant noodles with 50% less fat. Goodbye all of those random people that commented on my novel to read theirs instead. Goodbye air conditioning. Goodbye hand sanitizer. Goodbye..."

Yun knelt on the ground for a moment, visibly distraught. He did not want to be reincarnated into a Xianxia, he just wanted to eat cup noodles in his apartment. He was not mentally strong enough to do this.

Maybe if I am lucky, some beautiful 'senior sister' with a tsundere personality will help me out and stop the guy. Nope, that won't happen. The uncle will probably be send assassins to kill me later. So most likely, the beautiful senior sister will walk away and see whether I have the strength to warrant her help..." Yun basically read out a plot from his memories. It was easy as breathing for him to find some cliche Xianxia plot that fit the description.

He'd be mincemeat before anyone comes over to help. Unless...

"Hello senior brother." Yun clasped his hands and bowed towards the handsome senior.

"I heard you beat my younger brother to impotence." The handsome senior said with a serious glare."

"Umm...ummm... He tried to **** me!" 

"What?"

"Yes, he came up from behind and a felt a huge bulge as he pushed me to the ground in that spot just over there. You can ask anyone else! They will say the exact same thing, He tried to push me down in broad daylight!" Yun started lying his way to victory. This is the only thing he can do in the face of plot.

"So you made him sterile?" The handsome man stroked his chin with a contemplative expression.

"It's true! That guy pushed him down in the middle of the street! Young people are so daring these days!" An old man yelled from the other side.

"I see."

"This younger brother of mine is to shameful. I will kill him when I get home. This is the third time he has done this to another man. Thank you for telling me and thank you for spending this shame on my house." The handsome man left after clasping his hands, walking away with posture rarely seen in the modern world.

"..."

'How did that work?'

'Phew... when in doubt, claim yaoi. It forces male characters to feel uncomfortable and walk away. But I did not expect this. Welp, I am just lucky today.'

"Hey, you dropped your Dao Book." Some random girl said as she handed Yun a book.

He turned around confused, looking at the book as if it was a mysterious artefact. "Do you know what this does?"

"Are you an idiot? Dao Books are the most important items that us cultivator can use! Open it up, and you can use it write on the Dao forum, respond to questions and even take tests! There's more, you can also add your fellow disciples as friends and write poetry for others to read! Techniques are also uploaded there for disciples that have earned the right to lean them." The girl explained.

"O cool, thanks. By the way, where do I live again?"

"How should I know?"

"Fine, thanks for the help." Yun walked off into the street and found a nice alleyway to sit at. Conveniently, there was a box waiting for him to sit on.

"Hehehehehe..."

Tyson didn't always live alone. As he, alongside Emma and Jared, grew up in a countryside and only moved to the city for college, when they first came here, all three lived together. However, when Emma and Jared started dating, Tyson almost immediately decided to move out, despite the other two encouraging him to stay. He did it under the guise of 'giving them space', but the reality was far less cool.

He could barely have handled seeing them make out, even if it made his heart bleed, but on the off-chance that he accidentally saw them doing it, he was certain he'd have done himself… with a bullet… in the temple. So, as a way to save himself from future suicide, he moved out.

His apartment was rather plain and simple, having only a bedroom, kitchen and bathroom, but for him it was enough. Still, during the weekends, especially when he had no prior plans, he too would experience the greatest first world problem of them all: boredom. 

"… aaah, so boring!!" he exclaimed as he threw the book away. "I bet those two are having fun. Ah fuck, why'd I have to go and remind myself again? Goddamn, I suck…"

As he rolled around on sofa, going about his usual daydreaming about Emma, he suddenly realized he had thrown himself back into his usual routine. Slapping himself on his cheek, he got up and reached for his cellphone.

"… the only person I can call is that alien," he muttered as he suddenly realized something. "Isn't that way more depressing than my one-sided love?!!"

He ended up calling her and arranged a meeting.



HER – OUT ON SUNDAY



I can't believe he called me out on Sunday, Aya thought as she walked slowly down a rather crowded street. Doesn't he have anything better to do? (as we established, he doesn't). However, Aya didn't mind it much. As the exams were already over, she was also kind of restless staying home, and, even more so, this was the first time a boy called her out on her day off. It felt rather refreshing.

As she reached their usual meet-up place, she noticed that he was already sitting in the corner seat, fiddling with his phone. She hesitated slightly before entering and sitting across from him without saying a single word. When the waitress came, she ordered a tea and took out a book, beginning to read it.

"…" Isn't he going to say anything? Weren't you the one who invited me out?

"Hey," Tyson finally said as he put down his phone. "Isn't it a bit rude to read a book while out with someone? I didn't take you for that kind of a person." … I want to strangle him.

"Sorry," Aya replied in her usual, stoic manner as she put the book down. "I just found the book more interesting, is all."

"… aah, Ayien will always be Ayien. Unable to properly conduct herself…"

"Didn't I already ask you to stop using my name to make a pointless pun?"

"It's fine, it's not like I'm lying or anything," Tyson said, taking a sip of coffee. "But, you sure readily agreed to meet me. Were you that lonely without me, huh hun?" Tyson winked as his cheeks suddenly flushed red.

"…" Aya merely stared at him for a moment, sighing as she shook her head.

"Hey, silence is worse than having you curse me!! Please, just get angry!! Disappointment hurts far more!" Tyson cried out.

"If you can't handle your playboy act, why keep playing it out?" Aya asked.

"Ah, I read someplace that, if you keep pretending hard enough, there will come a day when you'll truly become who you pretended to be!" Tyson exclaimed.

"… that's just… sad…" Aya said.

"Eh, not like you're any better. Immediately accepting to go out with a guy you supposedly think is an idiot, and, what's more, on Sunday. Who's the sad one now, huh?"

"Ah, you're right. Why did I even come?" Aya said as she got up. "Thanks for reminding me. I'll head back home."

"No, please, wait! Stay! I'm the lonely one!! I was so bored I thought I would die!" He he.

"…"

"I wonder why your eyes are so expressive when your face is dead." Tyson said as Aya sat back down.

"You're imagining things." Aya said.

"No, my imagination usually has to do with me replacing Jared--"

"If you're going to self-destruct, just don't say it."

"God, that got me good," Tyson said, panting as he held onto his chest. "That was the worst one in quite a while."

"Is that so?" Why do I find this so satisfying? Aya pondered for a moment. "What were you doing before calling me anyway?"

"…" Aah, he broke.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to bring back bad memories."

"I-it's fine… I'm… I'm a big boy, I can handle it."

"Yeah, you sure are looking like you're handling it rather well."

"Even though you were being sarcastic, you were sadly on point," Tyson said. "Usually I break down and scream into my pillow as I try to curse Jared to a lifetime of baldness and Emma to a lifetime of 0 orgasms."

"…"

"… is it too much?"

"Do you read manga?" Aya suddenly asked.

"Eh? Manga? No, why do you ask?"

"You're like a mixture of terrible tsundere and even worse yandere," Aya said casually. "Which is just…"

"Tsundere? Yandere? What the hell is that? Is it bad?" Tyson asked.

"Bad? Let's just say that if your character ever appeared in the manga, you'd be hated universally."

"That's not how 'let's just say' works!! You just bluntly said I should just drop dead!!"

"Ah, but I don't mean it." Aya said. "I merely wish you'd grow a pair."

"… why do I get the feeling you don't know what that means?"

"Eh, I've researched! It means that you should grow some balls!" Aya said proudly.

"Thanks, but two is more than enough for me," Tyson said dejectedly. "Oh, yeah, what are you into anyway? Whenever we go out, it's mainly me being humiliated over and over again."

"Yeah, and that's what makes this relationship so much fun. So let's not ruin it."

"…" Hm? Did I go too far? "Y-yeah, you're right. I'm just a lowlife bug after all. I don't deserve happiness. I mean, I've been in love with a single girl for so long, what right do I have to bitch about anything? You were right, I should really grow a pair. Then leap straight off the bridge into the Yellow River." Aah, he broke. Again.

"I'm just normal," Aya said instead. "I read books, watch movies, listen to music and so on. What about you?"

"Oh, so you properly adapted to human society! Good going alien!" How the hell does he flip the switch so quickly? It's kind of amazing, actually. "I'm pretty much the same. Ah, but I have been hooked onto the Chinese web novels recently."

"Eh? Why Chinese?" Aya asked, curious.

"Well, you know, the main characters are just so… so… just, manly, you know?! They just don't take shit from anyone, and mow down whatever stands in their way!!"

"… and they get all the girls, right?"

"…" Aah, he blushes so easily.

"Aren't most of them just assholes, though?" Aya asked.

"Hm?"

"I mean, most of them are just your average sociopaths that go around killing as they wish, and then get all morally high when someone does the same to them. Isn't it a bit annoying to read?"

"…"

"You totally just ignored everything except basic power fantasy, didn't you?"

"… perhaps."

"Aah, but this is surprising. I didn't take you for someone interested in cheap fiction. You looked more like a proper, hardcore Crime and Punishment guy."

"… you're making fun of me, aren't you?"

"No, I would never do that. Besides, I believe I was complimenting you."

"No, no you were not."

"Ah, what do you know. You're actually right for a change."

Tyson and Aya left the coffee shop and went for a walk through a nearby park, as the sun slowly began fading from the sky. The park was still filled with families and couples, but the two were too invested in their debate to pay attention to their surroundings.

"… you're just infuriating!!" Tyson said, corners of his eyes twitching in anger. "It's clear that the best of the wonders are pyramids!! Do you even know history?!"

"I know it better than you!" even Aya's usual, expressionless face was beginning to distort as she raised her voice slightly. "Pyramids are just a reminder of horrible part of our history! Do you even know how they were built, huh?! On the backs of hundreds upon thousands of innocent lives!!"

"What the hell do you care for human lives all of a sudden?! You're just a freaking alien! Did pharaohs, by chance, refuse your alien ancestors?! Is that why you're so pissed off about it?!"

"I'm an alien?! You're ten times an alien then! Aah, I should have expected this from a guy who enjoys characters that go about slaughtering everyone and everything!! Are you from the alien race known as 'Cold, Empty, Emotionless Bastards With Zero Consciousness'?! I bet you are!"

"Hey, alien doesn't get to call another person an alien! Also, I never said I enjoyed them, I just said I was hooked onto them!" their heated discussion drew eyes and ears of the passing people, but neither noticed it.

"Ooh, well pardon me for misunderstanding you, you damn Saintly Monk! Do you want me to kowtow and apologize?!"

"Aagh, what was I thinking, calling you out on my free day?!" Seriously, what was I thinking? … oh, it's because I had no one else to call…"You want ice cream?"

"Sure. As long as you don't coat it in tears of all innocent who died building your dream pyramids."

"… you could just say you want it, right?"

"… I want it."

"Good alien."

"Takes one to know one."

"I'll take a mix of strawberry and vanilla," Tyson said as he approached a stand selling ice creams. "And, for her, bitter, lonely, desperate alien mix, please."

"… I don't think we have that." the man awkwardly replied.

"I'll have chocolate and lime." Aya said, too exhausted to complain.

"Pft, what kind of a shitty mix is that? Ha ha ha, you really are an alien!"

"Strawberry and vanilla… doesn't that basically say that you're pure and innocent and childish to the core?" Tyson suddenly blushed as he looked away.

"I-it doesn't. Shut up."

"… h-here you go." the man handed the two cones over, his hands shaking slightly.

"Thanks," Tyson said as he paid and began walking again. "Eh, what were we talking about again? Oh, right, didn't you say that your favorite song is Listen to my Heart? Ha ha, that's freaking hilarious!!"

"I said that it was my favorite! Was! As in, past tense! Which you should know seeing as you study the damn language!" Aya said, walking side by side with him.

"Ah, but to be fair, Careless Whisper used to be mine…" Tyson blurted out subconsciously. "W-wait, I take that back! Careless Whisper?! Pft, more like careless slip—I mean, definitely not!"

"…"

"Shut up. Being a teenager in love was hard."

"You're surprisingly cute when you're honest." Aya said, suddenly smiling. Oh crap, attack power of her smile is too high! I have to look away! … ugh, damage already taken. Too late. "Oi, you blush too easily! I'm a girl and even I think it's too much!"

"… you're a girl? Holy shit, since when?!!"

"…"

"Ooh, tigress is back~~ no, spare me~~"

"I bet Emma and Jared are doing this and that right now, while here you are, arguing with a girl who's not even a girl."

"… low blow."

Hey guys gals! It's been a while hasn't it? I first want to say I am SOOO sorry! I did not mean to just suddenly disappear but hopefully I will be back very very soon. I will be trying to go back to writing as I have lost a bit of motivation with this book. However, I will not give up on it. I wanted to get this out so that you guys who have been adding this book to their library. Today, I will be TRY to get a new chapter out and I will TRY my best to reduce as many grammatical errors in here, I do need to re-read my story since it has been a while. I also want to give a small timeline for the story. 
For starters, I want you guys to know what the Epsilon armor is. https://halo.fandom.com/wiki/Mjolnir_Powered_Assault_Armor/Mark_IV. Yes, I know the armor is from Halo 5 but I personally love seeing this armor and I find it extremely cool to see Ivy in it. So, I'll most likely be trying to end the second volume of this book and enter the three-volume in which I have sooo many possible ideas. Volume 3 will most likely be a bit long as a few characters will be lost, killed, or forgotten (either from me or in the story). Some key characters to keep in mind will obviously be Ivy, Ruby, Neo, and Lilith. Three of them will be together looking for the next kingdom but one of them is a lone wolf. 
Another thing that I want to mention is that I know I've changed the name of my characters a couple of times so I want you guys to mention if I ever made any mistakes with names. Obviously, I will be going over my story but I'm only one person.

A twenty-one-year-old girl who doesn't remember anything but being experimented and emotionally unstable during her youth. However, what once was a deep hatred slowly turns into a deep feeling relationship right off the bat. Ivy being presented to the king, the man who sought Ivy's capture, was now given a new life, new opportunity, and a new chance to fail everyone.
