Axel was about to open a breach to Earth-38 until he realized something that may be important on this Earth if he were to continue living here and helping 'The Flash'... Money.

Now how does someone from a universe were this is all a 'T.V Show' get money from? Well it's quite simple. Considering this is a whole new universe that contains many different things from his he can invent or create new things. Now will he create a new piece of technology that could help humanity as a whole? No... He decides to draw. Not manga but a comic. A comic about a whole new universe... Know as the MCU.

I began to run around Central City finding some supplies to start my little writing adventure. Now did I steal this things? Yes... I'll pay them back I promise.

As he was roaming around the city in flashes of light he started to recall his memories on how to use his powers curtsy of a certain 'Generous God'. He found many new things he could do with his power and some unique skills he came up with on his own. He also figured out that running around slowly increased his speed. Not by a lot by all means, but he had plenty of time to get faster... He also had some unpleasant ways to get it, but those would obviously come to the those with evil intent... Anyways he started making a list of his powers in his 'Info' area thanks to the assistants help.

As he finally came to a halt on-top of a room he begins his drawing adventure. He sits cross legged scanning his memories as his hands move at an unfathomably high speed. Now if you're wondering why he got so many supplies, which he did... It's because he may have burnt a *cough* few pencils and pieces of paper because of his speed. So he focused his powers and drew again. This time faster than a normal human but enough to keep everything in-tact. He first decides to draw the life of all avengers before the initiative. He still couldn't believe that he was doing this but he quite enjoyed it as it would also allow those on this earth the satisfaction of reading such master-pieces. After a whole day of making sure everything was wrote perfectly and nothing was missed he had finally completed the whole base for the start of the avengers. He wrote a big sum in that amount of time and if he was right in thinking, they would hopefully be turned into films as well and earn him even more money.

He was absolutely starving and decided to rundown to Big-Belly-Burger and stock up. Yet again he stole it, but what you gonna do? He'll pay em back... I think. After he ate he was on a room top looking over the city he saw a blue streak flash about and thought 'Your time shall come... Zolomon'.
With that he arrived in front of a publishing company known as 'Sokudo Comix' (Random Name, well the first bit translates into something about this fan-fic... Hint 速度 :D )

Currently there was a meeting going on inside said company, all the editors in the company attended with nervous expressions on their faces. At the end of the somewhat large table sat a man crossed leg with an unusually pale Persian at his side stroking it. (<-- Reference). His name was James (Hehe). He was the editor in chief of 'Sokudo Comix'. Even though he looked like an evil man that would plot countless evil plots he was a pretty laid-back guy.

"We need a new comic that others will go crazy for, we're losing business!" One of the men said.
"This company is slowly crumbling" Another mumbled.

"Yes... I have realized this and other companies besides us are getting constant business." James said making the others stay silent.


"What I'm saying is we need talent people! AND WE NEED IT NOW!" He roared. (Not laid-back when he's slowly losing business.)

No one said anything after that comment as they realized that they may be at the bottom of the food chain now unless someone with talent walked through their doors, but that was unlikely... Right? However that did all change... The moment a call came in from the landline in the middle of the table silencing everyone yet again.


*Static*

"Damnit, Misty... I told you I'm mid-" James said in aggravation only to be cut off by her, which he did not expect.

"S-s-sssir we have... SO MANY AMAZING COMICS DOWN HERE!" A lady which was assumed to be the receptionist shouted

That instantly made the people in the office go into a frenzy and caused them to rush down he office. As they arrived in the lobby they only saw one person except the receptionist and he was a young man reading a newspaper with a few boxes of comics on his right.

The editor in chief walked up to him and said "Are you the one who's gonna submit the comic?" in an erratic breath, because of the pace he rushed down here... (Wow really desperate kun)

"Yes" Axel stated simply.

"Please, let us view them!" He said practically in a pleading tone.

"Sure..." Ryder said in a confused tone at the desperateness of this man. (I'm gonna change from Axel/Ryder a bit (Tell me if I should just leave it as his giving name or surname.))

As Ryder was observing James, he looked up to make eye contact and said "W-What's wrong?"

"Well, we didn't introduce ourselves" Said Axel with a goofy grin.
"Y-yes. My bad, I was caught up in the comic, how forgetful..." James replied nervously. "I'm James, James Jesse or my friends call me J.J (Weird as name but... Yeh xD) and I'm the editor in chief" He stated the last bit in some form of pride yet embarrassment.

"Right..." Axel said 
"Anyways, you can all view some of the different comics if you want" He said straight after passing some different ones along to the rest of the 'staff' he assumed.

All these were just some titles of the comics that they received and after a few quick glances and reads each member of the company were hooked in an instant with stars in their eyes.

James himself couldn't believe it, in front of him was many different comics all in one that would change the whole world in an instant. His eyes began to expand at the detail and amazement of the comics.

"MR RYDER SIR PLEASE LET US PUBLISH THESE!" He said whilst bowing in a strange tradition.
"Sure..." Axel stated, trying to get right to the point. He wasn't an impatient man, but he wanted money. I mean technically he could steal stuff but that's not on his 'Moral Compass'... He only does bad stuff to bad people.\

"THANK YOU VERY MUCH!" He basically screamed in excitement at the haul he would receive and how popular his company would become. These would rise him back to the top!


"Okay... ANYWAYS *Roll eyes* Let's talk about our contract,"

"Don't worry, we'll definitely give you an appropriate contract." With that he turned and began a discussion with the rest of the people and finally turned back around.

"We can give 25% Royalties and this will increase if this increases in popularity and you produce more of course and come to us!" James stated smiling.

'Wow 25% fuck me... They must be desperate, I mean I know these are amazing and I can make plenty more and plenty different ones but DAMN!' Axel thought.

"Deal" He said and struck up a handshake both stating that it'll be 'Fun working together'
After the signing of the contract, Ryder said goodbye to them and decided it was finally time to change Earths so when he came back he would come back to some money.

In a nanosecond he appeared on the roof of the company. He began to vibrate is arm as he stretched. Finally he found the correct frequency and sprinted off the roof jumping in the air in a gold and blue blur. He thrust ed his arm forward causing a blue portal to widen out of nowhere and suck him in only for him to come out on a different side. Central city now gone... A new city awaited. He was here. Earth-38.

Why wish to be 'The Flash' or a 'Speedster' when you could wish for your very own Speed-Force with no restrictions...

One month before the graduation, Ansel spent the rest of his time by having a new hobby, reading web novels. He was fond of reading, only non-fiction, but then he found out a fiction online that somehow answers some of his questions that he had months ago. Ansel now had to binge read stuff that correlated with his life.

They waited on a train station, Ansel, with his new hobby, scrolled his phone, reading. He didn't care about the surrounding. A crowd that brought luggage and big bags shoved out from the arrival door. Some meet their family or their friends; some were rummaging their phone ordered a taxi. The hum of a diesel machine filled the atmosphere of the place.

"It's quite strange that you changed a lot, after the crazy dream. Years ago, I offered you to go to the comic market, but you refused. And now?"

"So, that place is where a bunch of nerds socialize and have their fun?"

"No! It's hard to explain it to a normie like you!" Brian scratched his head. "It's not just nerd fest, some creators, artist; they made something to be sold there."

"And the reason that I should care is?"

"Raven, your crush went there, as a contributor?"

Ansel's face flushed red. "It's Maven. I know I know that I was asked to accompany her, that's it."

"Whoa whoa~ you know, you could 'propose' her when she was in the crowd."

"NO! If she rejects me, my life would be a joke again! She's a writer; probably another writer has an eye for her, write A+ poetry. Me? My thesis was trash. I wonder why Mr. Sigmund just nods and accept it."

Brian laughed, he patted Ansel's shoulder and said, "small talks would be fine. Besides, your crazy dream meeting a deity that could twist a time was a good point to make her … interested?"

It was a coincidence when Ansel found out about her. When he blurted out his crazy dream online, she gave him a link to a story. It was one of the top-notch web novels. Chronos was an antagonist, much to his surprise, he followed the story. The girl was so enthusiastic about her writings; day and night she kept talking about it. Ansel offered help to be her beta reader.

He was quite pissed off knowing that Chronos was an antagonist, and so he asked for the story to change. The reader liked what he advised, and then the story's rank rocketed into the first rank.

The relationship got closer; Ansel had a chance to get her real contact for the sake of knowing her. She was a cutie pie, shoulder length jet black hair, big eyes, small lip and nose. Ansel sometimes imagined her wearing a Lolita dress. There goes his fantasy.

She asked him to accompany her to an annual comic market in Jakarta. This was her first experience and the best moment for her to contribute to the event. Ansel said yes.

"Well, if I keep telling her about it, and when she finished, the relationship will be boring." Ansel pouted, "Best to know about her other side by this, even though this comic market stuff was not my thing."

Brian disappointed, "thought you were enthusiastic for it."

"I—"

"Ansel Cakara? Where's that guy?" a man called him from distance.

Ansel searched for it, he looked at the entrance. A small girl with small luggage and brown sling bag searched for someone. Beside her, her father in a brown jacket brought a bag of food. Ansel tiptoed. It was her, Maven. Ansel waved at her. Maven ran to him, she was swallowed by the crowd, perks of being tiny. Lucky, her father takes her to them.

"She's so small, like your sister," said Brian

"Ah! Sorry, traffic was hell, let's get for the tickets. Bye pa," Maven kissed her father's hand.

"Take care!"

Their cargo was the last one, it was spacious. Lucky it was not peak season. A few people filled it. The tail of the train was one cargo away. The diesel hum, creaking sound of wooden ramps, and a soothing wind were their companions in the travel.

Maven decided to sit alone on the right side, near the window. She put on her earphone.

"You missed the chance~"

"Shut up."

A young couple entered the cargo. The man was tall and skinny, he has tan complexion, his hair was neatly combed. The girl has a curvy body, which could make a sane male eyed on her. A fair lady more than a girl, the girl startled Maven.

"Ey Meg! I don't know you're going too!"

"Course I have to go there! Fan sign session!"

Brian leans to Ansel, "Oh boy, famous cosplayer, Puffy-chan. I'm too shy to greet her."

"Don't be a creep," Ansel whispered.

"I should've gone with you." Maven said.

"Uh, I … stayed at my boyfriend's house."

Brian eyes widened, "man, I wonder what will they—"

"Shhh!" Ansel hit Brian's head

"Those two? Your companion?" Meg asked.

"Yup," Maven walked to them, she pointed to Ansel, "the red jacket, Ansel. The big guy, Brian."

"Ansel? Oh~"

There was a murmur, mostly girl's talk, sometimes giggling. The girl's talk was about love, sometimes Maven blushed and shook her head. Ansel looked at her, Gosh, he blushed again. Ansel looked away at the window, ignored them.

From behind them, Meg's boyfriend stood beside Brian, "Hello there."

Brian jerked, "You creep me!"

He smiled, "that's my ability, sneaking. My name's Lintang."

"Ansel."

"Brian."

"I heard that. Anyway, first time going to the comic market?"

"I'm not, been there twice, he is," Brian pointed at Ansel.

"Mine's first time, lucky I got my baby brought," Lintang opened his jacket, a camera dangling. "I'm a part-time photographer."

"Nice, I want to learn about photography but I don't know where to start," Ansel said.

"Well, I could explain a lot of it. But start from something simple, something that you like to capture."

"Yeah, you could take a snap of my motorcycle!" Brian suggested.

Ansel spat, "freakin showoff."

"Interested in Itasha?" Lintang asked.

"Used to," Brian scratched his head, "but my father got mad, he said don't put Barbie sticker on your motorcycle. It's not Barbie, it's my waifu, Asuka Langley Soryuu! Anta baka!"

"More like belong to trash," Ansel sneered.

"One more and I kicked you from this train!"

Lintang wheezed, "My parents also mad when I tried to photo some cosplayers, thinking that I collected some girl photos for dirty stuff, but now," he tipped his head to Meg. "I want to make them understand I don't have that kind of fetish."

"Good luck, parents are hard to deal with especially with 'love' stuff." Ansel retorted.

"Well about Mega they already buy it. But they still didn't accept the reality that I just do photography for pocket money."

"Lucky you, my parents forbid me from any hobbies since my dad smashed my stuff…" Ansel recollected the piece of his memories, some of them happened on the other side of his life, a side where he would pass if things were not fixed. "I forgot when."

"I never heard about that." Brian twitched his eyebrows, "or have I forgotten?"

Ansel bit his lip, he was lost at words, and he couldn't brush them off by telling that the event once happened in another timeline. He has to lie. "Somewhere in junior high, I just remembered that."

"Oh man, that was harsh," Lintang closed the jacket and put his camera inside.

Brian bought the lie. "At least now you could do anything freely."

"Dear passengers, we're about to stop for fifteen minutes in the nearby station. If you wished to depart, please prepare in fifteen minutes. Thank you."

"Finally, stop to smoke," Lintang uttered.

"Smoking? Again? Not under my watch," Meg curled her arms to his neck.

Lintang coughed, "Yes, fair maiden."

One person entered the cargo. The sound of their footstep made Ansel frightened, a sharp tap of a high heel. He was still traumatic about that event. Took a deep breath, reset the mind, Ansel thought it was a different person. And it is.

The woman wore black latex long coat, her hair was golden white but covered by the coat. A pair of sunglass with golden frame adorned her oval face. Ansel shifted his position slowly, Brian noticed, they looked at the woman.

"Whoever wore a high heels boots on a train? I don't understand fashion." Brian raised his eyebrow.

Ansel focused on the feet, high heel boots, with dark purple rose as a decoration, so flashy. She could steal pickpocket attention.

"She might miss her plane and opt for the train? Maybe her relatives passed away so soon so she has to be like that?" Maven speculated.

"As expected from a writer," Brian added. "What do you think Ansel?"

Ansel awkwardly sat on his position, "uh what?"

"You ever saw her on your dream?" Maven asked.

Ansel sat beside Maven, leaned on her and whispered. "Yes, Chronos enemy."

You promised that I would never see her again, damn you Chronos.

Maven took a deep breath, "maybe your brain rigged up some childhood trauma."

How am I going to say that it was not childhood trauma? It will happen or would happen? I couldn't say it was my past, but it was.

"Psychology stuff," Ansel stared at empty space. "I can't remember the past vividly, so, yeah maybe."

Dammit, Chronos please help me. I don't know how people in another dimension pray for your help.

"Dear passenger, we're about to leave the station, please sit on your seat."

Should I leave the train? I don't want to be her slave.

Loud long whistle from train alarmed him. Meg and Lintang entered the cargo.

But what about my friends?

The train slightly moved.

How do I explain to them?

Ansel's heart beating fast, faster than the train itself. Cold sweat ran through his body. His vision blurred.

"You okay?" Maven touched Ansel's cheek.

White, Ansel stared at the lamp. He almost lost his consciousness. Blue speckles, then green, filled his eyes. His eyes stuffed up. Darkness.

..

"Are you okay?" it was a warm voice. A soft hand reached for him. "Tea, as you please."

Ansel opened his eyes, still white. He raised his upper body; slowly he could hear the hum of diesel. His sight gradually better, all of his friends, including the stewardess surrounded him.

"I—" Ansel took the tea from the stewardess, "thank you." He sipped the tea, and then put it on a small table beside.

"Road Sick, glad you got better."

Ansel slightly nodded. The stewardess left them. Maven patted Ansel's shoulder.

"You should've taken some fresh air with Lintang," she said.

"I don't have asthma. It's just strange."

"You haven't eaten from the morning? Here's food," Lintang gave him warm soup.

"Thanks…" Ansel opened the lid of the soup. Warm chicken soup with dumplings has woken Ansel's appetite.

"So, you fainted for no reason?" Maven asked.

"It's actually…" Ansel peeked; the woman was not there, not her luggage too. "Panic attack?"

"Panic attack?" Maven raised her eyebrows, "my parents are doctors, and mostly the fainted patients are the ones who have severe motion sickness, blood loss, and no oxygen went to their brain."

Ansel took a deep breath, "Can I have time, with you alone?"

"Sure."

Both of them went to restaurant cargo. It was spacious, the scent of warmed microwave food filled the air. Stewardess went back and forth from one cargo to another to bring the food. Ansel and Maven sat on a bench on the corner of cargo, looking side by side.

"You know that woman? Black coat?"

"She moved to another cargo, her seat was actually behind Mega. What's wrong with her?"

"I don't feel a good vibe. And I was scared. Do you know Chronos? The stuff that I told you? Everything was real."

"You came back from the future by his help so that you won't see the apocalypse bringer? And you were so frustrated that he won't help you?"

"Yes! She could probably start an apocalypse on this train!" Ansel leaned to Maven, he whispered with rage.

"Listen. She is a good person. You must have lost your mind."

"But you said you believe in me!"

Maven stared sharply at Ansel, "I know. I had that. I met both of them. It was real, but please, don't be afraid of it. We don't know exactly when apocalypse going to be. Chronos could be lying."

"You met him?"

"I had. The story that I made was real, I met them, both. That's why I kept talking to you, for reference and for therapy. It's hard when no one believed in you."

"So, the beginning of the story was actually real?"

"Yes. But after that, some parts are altered; I don't want him to hunt me down."

"Tell me what actually happened next."

"Fuck!" The thug hissed before he tossed the useless contents of the backpack on the ground.


"Another poor bastard! He barely had shit on him." He bemoaned.


"We missed the quota again."


"Stein going to be pissed, "the second thug replied.


"Fuck Stein! He can take this quota and shove it."


He groaned at his partner's admission but decided to change the subject. "Hey, how about that blonde from earlier? She sure was fun, man." He exclaimed.


His partner grabbed his crouch. "Hell yeah! I'm glad we got to fuck her. Stein would have held her for himself."


"Exactly why we didn't inform him." He began shuffling through the thrown away book-bag of the teenager that they waylaid moments earlier; his cooling body lay hidden behind the dumpster.


The thug noticed a textbook in the pile of junk; grabbing it and reading the color he became surprised, he waived the thick textbook before his partner. "Look, the whore and the twerp both  went to the same high school." The two starred at each other before they exploded in raucous laughter. A noise from the distance caused them to stop laughing. It originated from where they stashed the teen body.


Jeremy York's eyes snapped open, an electrical current traveled through his body causing him to spasm. He gasped loudly, his lungs greedily Inhaling. Cole Stephens's mind was foggy, his memory recall of recent events seemed almost surreal, his mind was a jumbled mess of traumatic thoughts and bizarre images. The greatest conflict was that he wasn't Jermey York, not really, he knew his name, he was Cole Stephens.


He recalled the original owner life. Jeremy York is a teenager; recent orphan, his parents murdered not even years prior, he was currently a ward of the state, his family is wealthy, unfortunately, the money is tied up in the courts and child protection agency, his lawyer and caseworker is siphoning money with the help of the shady orphanage.


'What happened to him, no to me?' He was on his way to the orphanage located in a seedy neighborhood in the declining parts near old lower Manhattan before he was grabbed, beating and stabbed. 'He was murdered!' His mind wavered. The sickly memory of weakness and death part of his redall.


He fumbled around, the darkness hindering him, eventually,  he managed to pull himself up with the help of the grimy cold arm belonging to the nearby dumpster. Jermey. No, that was wrong. His face scrunched at the queer abstract thinking. He was Cole. Cole Stephens.  His head hurt regardless, the differences mattered little.


Thoroughly checking himself over. He patted his stomach, his hand cold and damp, fingertips sticky with his own blood. He gulped loudly. The mugging fresh in his mind, the merciless beating, humiliation,  and the final stabbing, the misery, the fear, his own passing, darkness. He shuttered, teeth chattering as coldness latched on to his still cold body.


Before panic could devour him, and shatter his fragile state-of-mind, a cool blissful all-consuming sensation overcame him, soon the Uncertainty and fear fled him, the horror of the experience departed his mind, the scarring of his soul, a deep gulf mended. A translucent screen consumed his vision. His eyes soon went out of focus.


Under a flickering street light, the two thugs began to walk back toward the dumpster, where they stashed the body; the noise and shuffling piquing their interest. Being  career street-thugs they knew the best witness, was a dead witness.

His mind all but reformed, situational awareness returned to him twofold. He grasped the current situation in a newfound analytical way. He instinctively understood he was giving a new and inherently unique lease on life.He remembered everything that had transpired. The York boy's life could be summed up as extremely sad, and of depravity and heartache. Even in his final moments were one of suffering, bloodshed, misery, and pain, he didn't die at peace, he died with regrets and untold anguish.


But, 'I'm Cole Stephens,' he said reassuring himself. His life had been unceremoniously ripped away, his mind washed away. He could only recall residual things. Nothing of how he lived; family. Friends. Birthdays. Major achievements, all gone. All he remembered was laying down, for the night, and his own name. His former home—world-reality...


The mind is a marvelous thing, it could adapt to a great many things. Take, for example, the memories and experience of entirely different life down to the minute details. Typically, if strong memories were introduced to the mind, they would more likely overwrite the old mind. However, what happens when the strong memories are met with an indomitable entity, such as the system? Undoubtedly, the two minds would struggle, but against such a supreme administrator, the two could only merge accordingly.


Cole and Jermey minds were sewn together by exquisite hands of the system.  The two individuals: Jeremy York, Cole Stephens settled, merging into one dominant persona. Jeremy's memories and experiences were his memories and experiences, his soul, unfortunately, had all but parted from his body upon his death.

Cole's eyes one of discernment became hard and unfeeling, even his face lost all emotions. One couldn't glean anything from his countenance. The few people that known Jermey York would be greatly alarmed at his featureless countenance.


He began to canvass his surroundings, a mental map of everything before he entered his mind. His mind was working at a rate incalculable by normal standards, even amongst the enhanced.


In that cold dreary alleyway, a plan formed, one far-reaching and critical. This would be the date over hundreds of millions of lives were altered.


He squatted down, making his figure less noticeable, utilizing the lowlight of the surroundings. His left eye fazed slightly as the system interface bestowed to him came to his mental calling. His eye darted around what he could only describe as his character sheet; as an avid reader, and a pro-gamer he understood the intricacies of such a sight.


'Marvel universe, but which one?' He didn't know much about Marvel, besides the cinematic universe and the few comics he did read. He was an avid D.C comic reader, he even enjoyed their subpar cinematic world. He wondered, was that the reason he received a pseudo-intelligent system—that had the DC-comics locked inside?


At this moment he wasn't as efficient as the original Jason Todd at his literary peak. He was still afforded marginal utilization of the installed personal abilities. He summarized the whole system things as his own personal x-gene, simpler to understand he supposed. He was literally capable of gaining untold abilities, superpowers, gifts, and items, as long as they belonged to the literary library. 


He was currently at 5%. When the percentage reached 100% he would randomly gain another comic book character persona.

Suddenly, his newfound body was engulfed with another electrifying sensation, this time it was euphoric,  akin to a revival, like the stories of the Phoenix rising from its smoldering ashes. His muscles flexed, becoming taut. He inhaled deeply. This was  [Enhance strength] and [Inhuman Healing Factor] both worming their way through this being. His body had undergone a complete overhaul; matter-of-factly, his entire being was reworked.


[Inhuman Healing Factor] wasn't the greatest-but he could theoretically heal completely within hours, and lesser wounds in a manner of minutes, like the previous owner abdomen stab wound. He wasn't sure about a bullet to the head, though. There were still things he didn't understand, like where his powers resided, if they were physical, then like most mutants, a headshot in the right spot could bypass his healing factor.


Those thoughts were for tomorrow, he needed to get past the two men, and then he needed to rest, his body had overworked itself. Once his body acclimates more to his newfound abilities, he would be amongst the empowered. He also would need to train himself, physical exertion will increase his persona acclimation percentage. He was also much smarter now, not Tony Stark, not Peter Parker, but giving enough time and study, he could outpace them, easily.


The first thug was the obvious leader of the duo. He neared the edge of the dumpster first. Before the thug could take another step a low moving blur darted before him. He experienced a brief bout of vertigo before he landed heavily on the ground.


The second one having mere seconds of warning yelped in fright but he to was hit with quick hard and strong fists. Cole Stephens cursed as his hands were bruised and he jammed his thumb; a rookie mistake he thought as his blow to the man was ill-placed and his fist wasn't properly closed.


He stared down at the two thugs, one was squirming backward starring heatedly at him; the second one was out like a light, a line of blood poured from his open mouth.


These two were killers, they had murdered his predecessor mere minutes ago, it was almost insured they will do it again. He withdrew his pistol from his inventory. To the thug, it seemed like the kid pulled it from thin air. The leader's eyes bulged. He couldn't believe it. This teen that was surely dead was some kind of freak. He was one of those people.


The lone Glock was leveled at the head of the thug, but a passing patrol car bright flashing lights startled him. Cole fumbled with the pistol in his hand before he withdrew it back into his inventory. Red lights flashed on the top of the car. Policemen scrambled out, hands-on their own weapons. He sprinted in the opposite direction.


He could only reassure himself. The police would handle them; their crimes would be found out and they'll pay dearly for them. He fled down the alley under the cloak of darkness.

Cole Stephens, a unmentionable man from earth perishes only to awaken inside the body of a recently deceased teen. He quickly learns he has been transplanted into the Marvel Universe with a system.

I’m not a writer; this is for fun and self-improvement, please exit stage left if you’re looking for some Game of Throne type of storyline or to self impose your own beliefs or direction of the story, go write your own.

"The world isn't a fun place. Don't let the crappy movies and comic books about superheroes saving the day fool you. The world we live in isn't anywhere near as cool or happy as the ones we read about inside the pages of Fantastic Four, or the one we see in the confines of our favorite TV Shows. The world sucks, and we've single handedly manufactured so many ways to distract ourselves from that fact that the ones who put more effort into these distractions are the highest praised and most celebrated people on the planet. Artists? What does that even mean anymore? It's just some pithy catch all  for 'person who doesn't want a real job, and wants to play around with writing useless fluff all day' and-"
 "Will you shut the fuck up already?" Hi I'm the actual main character of this little short story, pardon my language but you have to admit. That jackass wasted a whole paragraph with that bullshit. Oh, where's my manners, there's more story to get to:
 "WILL YOU SHUT THE FUCK UP"The hero bellow- just kidding. I said. 
Like I said in the last paragraph, this guy is nothing but some sad dropout who's angry at everything trying to explain to me in his infinite wisdom why art doesn't mean anything. I apologize again, you're probably extremely confused. "Why did this story start with a paragraph long intro that turned out to be a pointless diatribe?" "Who's this guy who keeps stopping the story and speaking directly to me, doesn't he know he's a character in a story?" Answers to those questions are A: our wonderful author is stalling for time, and B: I'm not entirely of sound mind, that's what my therapist, most of my childhood friends and my big brother have told me at least. However before we continue I'm going to use the next paragraph to tell you a bit about who I am. 
 My name is Felix Lombardi. My parents were Italian immigrants who ran a bread shop. Two years ago they were murdered in cold blood by the mob. After that my brother Lou mysteriously came into half a million dollars, which he turned into a small fortune with pretty sound investments and now he's helping pay my way through college. Happy ending, happy story, my life is great, except it would be if this motherfucking social reject wasn't wasting my time at this gas station telling me how unfair the world is. Speaking of that I still need to respond to him.
 "The world isn't fair, but that doesn't make it a bad place. You're just mad because life hasn't given you everything you wanted. Try working for a change" I said in a subdued cool manner, much like a teacher in a school full of slow children would if one kid in the class began eating paint. 
 "That's easy for you to say, you're probably some spoiled brat coasting through life on daddy's paycheck." Said the moron, completely oblivious to the fact that I was tacitly ignoring him and going about my business.
 I told him to back off, and I went over to the cashier and paid for the cigarettes and M&Ms I was buying. Took an exit, sat in my car and- You know what? This is getting boring and procedural. So I'm in my car, and I call my brother. He's a nice guy, used to be a cop for a while, then he got really rich and he's actually flipped his allegiances and turned into a bit of a crime boss. He's a smart guy though, so he makes sure not to actively butt heads with any of the other families around, but this isn't a Mafioso story, no no no, I apologize, this isn't that exciting of a tale. This is a story about me, my thoughts, and how I relay them to you. 
"Sup little bro"
"Hey Lou, did you get my text?"
"I was busy, couldn't respond, still kinda busy. Something about needing money for that comic convention?" Lou said. He sounded like he was doing something physically taxing.
"You at the Gym?"
"Nope, I'm at work"
"Why do you sound out of breath"
"Information gathering is very tiresome" 
Oh he's beating up a dude for an interrogation.
"Oh you're beating up a dude for an interrogation"
"What have I told you about talking about the job over the phone" 
"Mi Scuso fratello Louis" (I'm sorry brother Louis) 
"That's Don Lombardi to you buster"
"Fat chance wise guy, so when can you send the money for the tickets?"
"I'll see what I can do. Now if you'll excuse me I have work to do" 
 My apartment is in the upper east side of Manhattan New York. It's one of those places that looks like it was ripped straight out of a trendy sitcom that features a bunch of close knit friends getting into wacky hijinks. Fortunately for me though, I hate people, and Louie gives me enough of an Allowance to be able to survive alone and pay rent while being able to go to school. I go to a private Art School, I study Animation and I minor in sequential art, my hobbies include playing video games, posting my thoughts on the internet, watching anime, and reading Japanese firearm magazines. My favorite movie is Kill Bill Vol 1 (whoever tells you Vol 2 is better doesn't understand film making and should kill themselves), and the kind of girl I'm looking for is one who'll bully me and make me feel really crappy about myse- wait, sorry got lost in the sauce for a moment, I thought I was filling out a dating profile. 
 Living by myself affords me the unparalleled privilege of being able to walk around my apartment in minimal clothing, and since I don't like people, it's very uncommon for me to have anybody over. The only people who come over are my 63 year old Landlady Ms Fujinami, and her granddaughter Ami who's about my age. I know what you're thinking 'Oh, here comes the part where Felix talks about how much he likes Ami, since she's the first female character of appropriate age to be mentioned, of course she's the love interest'. Sorry to disappoint you fair reader, but it's not that kind of story. You see, we're not leaving my head. This is between you and me, I don't need any bullshit like an "emotional arc" or "narrative depth" in my fucking story, I'm doing good being the person I've been all my life. 
 So I'm lazing about my apartment like the sterling example of a productive citizen that I am when I get a phone call from Don Lombardi.
 "Felix you there?"
 "I wouldn't have picked up if I wasn't. What is it?"
 "Funny. I wonder how many jokes you'll be making when you're forced to shack up with a bunch of hideous college students in a prison dorm"
 "Wake up, eat, listen to Lou threaten me with student housing, go to class, come home, repeat"
 "I'm a man of habit what can I say"
 "To what do I owe this call, did you send the ticket money?" 
 "I need you to make some friends Felix"
 "I need you to stop caring."
 "You're always couped up in the apartment, the only time you see sunlight is when you go out to buy Cigarettes, or when you have class, you don't even talk to Ami anymore, weren't you two friends?" I hate it when he gets like this. I don't know why he cares about my social life. He doesn't listen to me tell him how to do… whatever it is he does.

 "if you're worried about my skin don't bother, that sicilian melanin is doing me just fine" I said, catching a glimpse of myself in the mirror, puckering. Who said nerds can't be sexy.
 "Calm down Ricky Martin, this is about more than sunlight. It's about your life. Mama would cry if she saw what you are on some days" Lou said, in his bro voice. 
 "Papa would cry if you knew what you did for a living" I retorted
"Would he cry or would he just break off into sicilian" Lou responded, letting out a chortle. 
"PUTO RAGGAZINO" we both shouted, memories of pa and ma rushing, and bringing a silence for a good moment.
 "How would I even go about making friends?" I asked, half jokingly. 
 "Glad you asked. That's why I bought you 3 day tickets to that comic book convention." Lou boasted triumphantly.
 "How do you know I won't just go there without talking to anybody?" I shot back with a sneer. 
 "You know, when you're in my line of business, you learn to have contingency plans. This is the part of the movie where the villain tells the hero 'I'm glad you asked'".
 Just at that moment, I heard three knocks at my door.
 "That should be my contingency plans"
 I  peek through my door lens just to see who's there. 
 Ami, motherfucking Fujinami.
 "The convention is this weekend right?" Lou continued. "Have fun lil bro" 
 I hate my brother. I hate this. I hate you. 

**End of Act 1**

An eccentric writer moves into a haunted apartment, yet it seems like he simply doesn't notice the ghost floating around. Soon enough it turns out that he was actually ignoring the ghost. She found out and that's how their life together properly began.
