Inspired by the BTS Hyundai commercial with Jungkook and Taehyung. It’s a little sad brought a tear to my eye writing it. 

This is a one-shot I wrote for an English class and wanted to share. Taehyung and Jungkook’s names are not explicitly used but it’s implied that it’s them.

As I completed writing my sample draft for 'The virtue magazine' , I sent it to them with my info. I knew that I was going on a blind path as I hadn't received any special coaching for it, all I had was my love for writing. 
The next morning when I woke up, I felt fresh and new as an infant. It felt just like the old saying that, behind every successful day there is a good night sleep.
On checking my emails I found an email from the virtue magazine, saying that they'd like to meet me today in the afternoon. Well that was really fast in my perspective as the other companies in which I had applied took months to respond me and some others never did...
I got ready and attended other scheduled interviews and finally reached on the informed venue by virtue magazine. I had a talk with its manager and told him that I didn't have any experience in this field. He thought for a while and told me that, ''we'll let you know, if there's a concern regarding this.'' And then he ended our meeting without any further questions, greeted me and left. This interview was the best one I've ever attended. 
After a few days, I received 2 emails, one from 'The virtue magazine ' and the other from ' I - Tech commercial '. Both those emails said that I've been selected and I've been called to discuss the necessary terms and conditions. I was called on the same day for both of them with their timings almost clashing, so it was like either I live my dream or give it another try living someone else's dream. I was really tensed about deciding which way to choose. I didn't do anything after that, I just went to my room and slept.

This is a story about a guy named Arata Hozuki. He was forced to choose a career of his father's will and give up on his journalist dream and He eventually turns out to be a jobless failure. Will he give up and continue his life in misery or will he.....

It was June 2nd on Thursday in the sixth week of the semester.
This morning, Loopy Toad had once again pulled out its little notebook from under Wang Ling's bed to continue writing about its observations on humans. It had already been fully several months since it had thoroughly accepted the reality of its dog body.
Loopy Toad was now quite good at human writing; even writing with claws, its handwriting was very neat. If it ever died again, it would definitely be forever remembered for its current calligraphy skills.
As a literate dog, Loopy Toad felt that its current intellect was almost on par with that of a human university student; it could be called a prodigy among dogs.
After learning to write an observation diary, it had recorded a lot of things, big and small.
Apart from observations on human behavior, the diary also contained observations on certain events.
Ever since the evil incident with Mother Wang being groped, Loopy Toad had realized how powerful the humans' network was. The rapid development of the Internet could enable humans to quickly band together online; a water army's commander-in-chief, moreover, could gather hundreds of thousands of people, whether to attack or to defend a particular issue.
Loopy Toad felt that the ultimate reason for the demon race's failure to invade the human world all these years was related to this.

While the lot was usually empty, at this moment, two men in suits carrying sophisticated equipment on their backs had appeared.
They were looking for signs of the body-dissolving fluid. On the other end of the phone, the Lady of the Castle asked solemnly, "What about Song Qingshu? Have you found his location?"
From where they were, the two men quickly determined the location where Song Qingshu's soul brand had disappeared. Finally, they both looked at a building to the east. "Found it, Lady! It's a villa. Song Qingshu's soul brand vanished inside this villa!"
"A… villa?"
The Lady of the Castle was a little surprised. This was in barren countryside; there were actually people still living there?
Her expression darkened slightly. "If that's the case, infiltrate this villa and investigate the situation!"
The two men in suits hesitated for a bit, then said, "But, Lady, there's a dog at the entrance. Wouldn't it be too obvious?"
"It's just a dog, just stew it for dog meat! It'll be something special to eat, isn't that wonderful?"

So it turns out that I got a sinus infection to go with the cold, but a rather mild one.  Just have to take medicine which makes me a bit woozy.

Unfortunately, I was also going to pause between Sunday - Tuesday because I'm buying a new computer so I can concentrate on writing.  Just going to bump that up to now until Tuesday (but might be sooner because my workaholic brother has announced he's taking time off.... 9_9... uh, yeah...).  ^_^

So, new chapters next week!  Sorry about that!  If I manage to write more, I'll post it.  I know where it's going to go, but oh...Bruce is such a psycho on a normal day.... ^_^

Chapter 11-  Visiting Marineford Town.

Marine Ford Dock # 2

The Docking bay being the first place Marines arrive at when entering Marine Ford, Also 
being the Last place they go when leaving for missions, It was naturally bustling. Marines of all ranks 
could be seen walk to and fro around the Docking bay, either carrying crates of supplies aboard 
ships, Chatting, or boarding their assigned ships to enter the sea. Ships could be seen Entering and
 leaving the Bay coming from either different Marine Bases, or Back from completing Missions. 

When Alan and the Twilight Wolf cub departed from the Ship it was already mid-Noon. The sky was clear with little bits of clouds occasionally appearing, Heading toward the exit they left the Docking
bay. After leaving the Docking Bay Alan and the Cub made their way to the Main road, The Main road
connects to the all the roads whether big or small in Marine Ford. The road was made of smooth Cobblestones, Lining the sides of the road were neatly placed decorative stones,One could see freshly cut grass and a row of enchanting Cherry Blossom Trees on each side.
 
When Alan first came to Maine Ford, he was stunned by the road's beauty, But he has become numb to it after witnessing it a few times. The Cub was amazed by the Scene in front of him and he kept turning his head looking left and right seemingly in a daze because of the Majestic scene. Alan chuckled at the Cubs silly actions, But he had to hand it to the person who designed this road it was
truly a beautiful sight! Alan and the Cub kept walking forward on the road. They didn't see anyone along the way. The Duo soon shifted to a side road, This road if compared to the Main Road could only be called Plain the only similarity was the Decorative stones lining the sides of it, Every road excluding the Main road was Plain this was done to make the Main road look even more attractive. As they walk along the road a big town slowly came into view. This was the only Town in Marine Headquarters Island Marineford It was called  "Marineford Town". Marineford Town occupies the Majority of the Island Marineford, It is a Large Town especially when compared to most cities and Town in the world, It is mostly home to the families of Marines Stationed in Marineford, As well as the Commercial district of Maine Ford, It is where Marines come to relax after going on long and taxing Missions, as well as where the go to purchase items they need to resupply before and after a Mission.

Marineford Town can be split into two Main Districts, Which are the Residential And Commercial Districts. The Residential District as the Name implies is where the Marines and their families reside, It consists of Many homes built by carpenters hired by the Headquarters , While the Commercial District consists of many stores which sell everything that a Marine Officer would need, For example some stores sell Weapons, While others stores repaired weapons for a reasonable price off course!,  Some sell clothing others sell shoes, These stores are usually owned by the families or family Members of powerful and High Ranked Marine Officers, But it wasn't rare to see common people owning stores either, That was because to open a store in Marineford Town one needed a license from the HeadQuarters. To obtain a license one needs to submit an application to the Marineford Town Administration office located in the Marineford Town. Getting the License isn't hard but finding space for a store is always a problem, Those with High ranked Marines in their families use their connections to get the space and open stores much more quickly that's why the majority of the stores are owned by the families of High ranked Officers,  Those with connections like in any other place will always have an advantage over those with no connections. The Commercial Area is also called the Shopping districted by the locals, It could be seen bustling day or night. Alan decided that he wasn't in any rush to look for Instructor Gale, So he decided to bring the Wolf Cub to Marineford Town to look around.

Soon Alan and the Cub came to the entrance of town, And entered the Marineford Town. After the Duo walked through the entrance of the town they directly went to the Commercial District.The Commercial District as usual was bustling with people, As Alan and the Wolf cub walked down the street store started to appear one after another. On the windows of the store advertisement could be seen as well as samples of there merchandise. People could be seen going in and out of stores, walking around the streets, and chatting with acquaintances. Alan and the Cub walked around the Commercial district, Alan would point at a building and tell the Cub about it like " This is Mrs. Tyler's sword repair shop" or " The Shu's Noodle Shop" and the Cub  would softly " Woof"  in acknowledgement then Alan would point to another shop this continued for a while. The Cub didn't draw any attention to Alan as it was normal for some Marines to have pets. But it's human-like responds got a lot of weird looks from the passing people some even came to Alan and inquired  about its origins ,  Noticing this the Wolf cub looked around at the unfamiliar people cautiously stuck close to Alan, This was its first time seeing Humans excluding Alan, And its first time in a Human town so it was understandable that it would shy away when confronted with an unfamiliar environment. Seeing how closely the Cub was sticking to him Alan could only helplessly shake his head. He Ignored the early people Question  bent down and picked up the Cub and left the Area quickly. Finding an area with less people Alan continued to show the Cub around this time he did point out any place for fear that previous situation would occur again. As Alan and the Cub continued 
to look around the Commercial district the Cub's shyness slowly went away It even occasionally bark at passers byes which gave Alan a headache when he had to apologize to them. The more
understanding ones would Laugh and call the Cub cute, While the ones with tempers would tell Alan " Hey Control your Pet" or " Control your Mutt."  which left Alan not knowing whether to  laugh or cry. The Cub Finally stopped it's Occasional Barks  after Alan's scolding. " Lets go Little Black I'll show you your new home, and Introduce you to my Friends your going to love them." Said Alan to the Cub. " Little Black" Was the Name of  the Twilight Wolf Cub. 

" Woof, Woof, Woof." Little Black barked happily wagging his tail. " Borborygmus." The Sound of Alan's Stomach Growling was heard. "  Ha.. first lets get something to eat." Said Alan. Alan and Little Black 
went to a small Restaurant well it was more like a Diner then a restaurant.

Alan and Little Black went inside and found an empty table a young waitress soon came to take there order she had reddish brown hair that she was tied in a ponytail and bangs that reached the middle of her forehead she wore an apron over a green shirt and Jeans she smiled and asked Alan for his order she looked like she didn't mind Little Black being in the restaurant. Alan ordered half of the menu which consisted of many specialties only made by this dinner!, The Waitress was left speechless and doubted if one man and dog could finish all that food, That thought came and left in the same moment, The Waitress finished writing the Order and put the order on the Order rack, After a long wait the food  Finally came the Waitress neatly place one dish after another on the table. Each dish
look scrumptious and gave off a delicious fragrance that made one's mouth water after just one whiff. 

 The food at the recruits Cafeteria can't compare to this at all. thought Alan while looking at the table of food as if someone was going to take it from him. he and Little Black started to devour one dish after another, each time they finished one plate of food Alan would stack it on top of the others,
soon there was only on piece of meat left, Just when Alan was about to take it into his hand a blurry
black paw flash across the plate " Swoosh" and took it, Alan just sat there with stunned expression and watched as Little Black put the piece of meat into his mouth eat it. " You Little Thief..., you should be offering up the last piece of meat to I your Master... instead what do you do? you eat it.
Oh how could i have taken in such an ingrate". coming back from his Daze Alan started to scold
Little Black while pretending to be Angry. Little Black gave him a look that said " Your a sore loser", Alan gave a the Cub a fierce Glare than Chuckled. 

Alan than turned to the Shocked waitress next to them and order more dishes. After eating their fill, Alan paid the bill which was 700 berries, After seeing the price Alan was troubled because he only had 7,000 berries left from the money his dead parents left him. Looks like I either need to find a why to earn more money or I can't use anymore until I become a official Marine after graduation.Thought Alan as he left the restaurant with Little Black, As he exited the restaurant Alan rubbed his slightly bulging belly and let out a satisfied burp" Burrrrrrrrp!!!". He turned to the Equally Full Wolf Cub beside him and Said with a Chuckle." That was great wasn't it". " Woof...Woof." Barked the Wolf cub as if Saying " Yeah It was." It rolled around on the ground with satisfied look which on it look silly. Looking at the silly actions of the Wolf cub Alan Bursted  out Laughing he then said to Little Black " Lets go, I'll Show you the rest of "Marine Ford Town", Since this will be our Home for a while". " Woof.." Little Black Responded with a Bark, You might be wondering why Alan spoke to the Wolf Cub like he was a person, The reason is after interacting with the Wolf Cub "Leo" for awhile, Alan realized that he could understand  him completely, He would at times even respond with to him. 

For the next half an hour Alan and Little Black wandered the Commercial District. After which they
left for the Recruit barracks where  Alan showed Little Black his room where it was going to start
staying. He then went and introduced  him to Jonathan, Kaya, and Marcus who he was the closes
to since they all arrived on the same ship. Jonathan and the other came to  liked Little Black  and
also felt some pity for him when they heard about how his mother died, Surprisingly the one Little
Black took a liking to the most was Kaya who always had a Ice cold expression on her face there was
a rear smile on her face as she played with Little Black. seeing Little Black getting along with everyone Alan smiled, he checked the time and noticed it was getting close to evening to he left Little 
Black with kaya and the others and went to find Instructor Gale.

Instructor Gale was shocked at how fast Alan finish the Exam he thought it would at least
take him two days if not a three to finish. Looking through the piece of paper Alan gave him
which was an Exam conformation paper he nodded slightly and said. " Come with me for a bit
there is someone I want you to meet." having said that Instructor Gale took Alan to the Marine
Headquarter Building Located in the Back of the Island Marineford.

As they Approached the Back of the Island  a tall majestic and large multi story ancient Japanese-style palace, with the base bearing the kanji for "Marines" (海軍 Kaigun), with the Marines symbol in between. Also Around the building's four cardinal corners was a small mountain with a small building on top, There was a flag with the Marines' symbol placed on top of the roofs each they slowly fluttering in the wind giving the whole Structure a Dominating Aura. This wasn't Alan first time
in the Headquarters Building, But each time he came he still felt light the Building was like a giant mountain hovering over him and pressuring him. 

Alan followed Instructor Gale in to the building, After entering Instructor Gale proceed toward
the second floor before finally stopping in front of a office next to the door to the office was a plaque  
 written on it was " Vice- Admiral Toni's Office". he calmly knocked on the Door and
waited. Alan who was standing Behind him looked at the plaque and thought. why would a Vice- Admiral want to meet me.  Soon the door open and the interior of the office could be seen.  There wasn't really much in the room only a desk which was situated in the middle and few chairs, A man
in Black-Robes sat behind a the desk. The Man as if expecting them beckoned them with his hand And  said in a calm voice ." Come And Sit."  

Instructor Gale  Went inside the office with Alan right behind him they both Sat down looking at the Black-Robed Man who sat across from them.

In front of a puddle filled with mud, a bald Grand Priest held an exercise book with one hand and clasped his chest with the other while he prayed silently.
In front of the Grand Priest was a nervous Elf who was writing mathematical formulas on the ground.
Lancelot knew that a lot of people were addicted to learning and that they believed in the Sacred Light. However, he hadn't seen any Elves that believed in the Sacred Light. Did the Elves not have many gods?
The Elf muttered to himself before standing up, seeming determined.
The bald Grand Priest gave his blessings to the puddle, which shimmered with light. He said, "May the Lord bless you."
He grasped the Elf's head and pushed it into the puddle. After three minutes, the Elf collapsed to the ground, no longer breathing.
"It's a pity. He didn't pass the Lord's examination. His belief wasn't firm enough."
The bald Grand Priest shook his head and spoke with sympathy.
The people behind started scolding.
"Wah, I said his revision wasn't sufficient. Revise properly before coming. You're wasting my time. I'm forgetting the formulas that I memorized!"
"Why didn't you carry bricks honestly? Didn't you know that you aren't suited for studying?"
"Give way, don't hinder me from becoming a Sacred Knight! I have studied for a month!"

When the bald Grand Priest saw that everyone was diligently learning, he was so touched that his hand trembled. He drowned another person who wasn't a devout believer and threw the body to one side. The Grand Priest was filled with purity and sacredness. The Lord! He was enlightened by the Lord's compassion and calling to guide the lost sheep! "Don't worry, I will lead them to the correct path!"

At Springfield Flower Kindergarten's recruitment booth, TakeASpearHit shouted as he sat on the ground.

The Freedom City of Victoria is similar to what the veterans speculated. There is only a Dungeon Lord Main Hall, and the rest is to be built by the gamers.
Don't talk about instant houses, cities, or roads, we don't even have a proper construction site. On top of that, the tools aren't sufficient. It's to the point that even the NPCs are dazed and not working.
If not for system restriction, I would have robbed that dazed Knight of his weapon and decapitated him to help him snap out of his daze. 
It's fortunate that there are no requirements to become a Sacred Knight. If you're willing, the bald Grand Priest will help you. The bald Grand Priest isn't bald, his name is Bald. Don't ask me why, ask the game producers.
Since I am creating a post and broadcasting live, I'm unable to take the examination to become a Sacred Knight. Even if I go, I'm unable to answer the questions and will lose my life.
After the new gamers were teleported to Victoria, they had to swear allegiance to Duchess Lilo. It was as simple as kowtowing at the entrance of the Dungeon Lord Main Hall. One could kowtow more if they wished. The process was similar to the kowtowing to Lord Sherlock in the Dungeon.
After that, it's cleaning the location, carrying bricks and wood, and cutting trees. 
The mission will earn you 100 bronze coins and takes one or two hours.
Only a few hundred gamers have complete tools, while most of the gamers weren't equipped with tools. It's understandable that it is harder at the start of constructing a city.
We don't need to mine. On the Surface World, if we cut trees, we will create empty space. The wood can also be used to construct houses.
Thanks to the veterans' knowledge in the forum, many civil engineering students came forward to become engineers. We didn't encounter problems while constructing houses.

Like shit, the barriers to breakthrough were real and I wasn't really psyched about the liberal arts degree I was going to be doing at university. You get haters, toxic fans and even people who misinterpret your work. A friend of mine always told me that you're either a critical darling or just a commercial pawn, pandering to your audience. I mean there is nothing wrong with wanting to give your readers what they want; self substitution and wish fulfillment can be intoxicating. Like drinking a bottle of scotch or vodka to make you numb on a bad day. I always wanted to be a critical darling, to become like the celebrated Anne Rice, Whitley Strieber, Laurell K.Hamilton, Gregory Maguire and even Stephen King. The avenue to which I attained success wasn't really the common route so with my success as a web novelist who transitioned to paperback, I was met with many skeptics. People who associated the vain sensationalism of viral YouTube videos to the viral reach of my books online. I mean it's stupid, right, to think that way?" he said, drinking his 13th cup and handing Tinashe more cups to drink his alcohol.





"Well, didn't physical CDs and vinyl die out to digital streams just like how those Americans say that Blockbuster got phased out by Netflix and various streaming platforms? I mean, why does it really matter how someone started or where their work came from?" he said, now slightly tipsy and unsure if he articulated himself well.
"Well you're wrong. The source and means to which a product is made is going to be judged and most of the critically acclaimed and their judges, have certain standards. I however didn't qualify by virtue of being a man who was a by product of genre fiction. I mean, my money came from it but I wanted to become a critical darling and thus, I betrayed the initial fans who made me reach stardom for the sake of writing something pretentious. An atour in the world of writing was always my goal and in the end, I alienated some of my readers so that I could get the acknowledgment from the elitists of the literary world, but I felt hollow afterwards. When you are a commercial writer, you are basically packaging a product and pandering to specific demographics. A critical darling was just pandering to the more cynical and well read, basically, I was an economic cog in the machine, fulfilling basic supply and demand. There was nothing special about my writing nor was there anything rewarding about sucking the cocks of those with elevated tastes. I became lost when that epiphany struck me." he said, sounding bleak as he downed his 15th cup.





"You know what, I think you should have just accepted what was what and just enjoyed the amount of money you were making. If you over complicate your desires, you will only set yourself up for disappointment." he said, feeling intoxicated and wobbly.
"Well young man, the hubris of an artist is that he wishes to make his art more real than 'real' and with that desire you are likely to burn out when you realise that its depth is a rather abstract thing, not a concrete thing. I did intend to just accept what was what, but I just couldn't deal with it. I turned to vices like alcohol and women. If I were to tell you how many women I slept with you'd be shocked." he said, drinking his 19th cup.
"Well how many women have you slept with John?" he asked, wobbling and struggling to keep his head up.
"Well I kept count, 337. I surely became a man whore who fathered two children and could only pay for their child support. I was more of a provider than a real father. I was in a rather emotionally inept moment in my life, seeking the vices to make me forget the vanity of my work. I fucked, I smoked  and I drank. I think I probably drank more than I should have but my liver seemed to be strong enough to keep me going. Regardless of this morbid state, I continued to write hit after hit, confusing right?" he said, drinking his 20th cup.
"Yeah, this sounds like you are giving yourself more baggage than you deserve. Fuck, I think I am drunk. Is this how being drunk feels. Man I feel like I am in my body but not in it." he said, cracking a smile and breaking into laughter.





"Well alcohol is a fantastic poison, made to numb your pain. So, I became a manic mess and a rather cynical person who began to judge the merits of people's works. I became a bigot of the elite, but even the standards that the elite held were just weightless pillars that people like me wished to stand on. In the end I was chasing what could not be attained and my refusal to accept that made me take my life. Well probably the rock and roll lifestyle had taken its toll on me as well so I had to pull the plug. I at least left my children a huge will for them to live their lives in luxury without me. Yeah, I self terminated because I was a complicated mess." he said, drinking his 22nd cup which became his last. Tinashe had finally knocked out and John laughed at him for being a weak lad who only lasted 6 cups. John really regretted his thought process when he had taken his life and figured that he was a stubborn atour trying to find the universally accepted peak of art. His desire to make the timeless critical darling.





As the morning dew lifted, John was the first one to wake up. He checked the pulsating notification for his inventory slot and noticed that he gained the mithridatism stat. The alcohol poisoning levels had triggered this stat to appear and he was at 2%. John marvelled at this new addition and then decided to wake up Tinashe to celebrate, Tinashe was long gone, inebriated and suffering from a hangover. The actual act of waking him up was quite an annoying feat for John. Tinashe felt like he had a severe migraine and he longed or something to ease the pain. John cracked open a coconut and made him ingest the liquid. Soon enough, the young man adjusted to the intoxication and he too got to see his inventory slot show the mithridatism stat. John did a quick deduction and associated the word which was related to inoculation to how their bodies were dealing with the alcohol they drank the previous night. 






Tinashe was amazed by this and John insisted that he would probably grow a tolerance for not only alcohol and other things once once he increased his current 1% mithridatism. When they all got out of their blankets, John told him to pack up the blankets and they began to dine on the fruits that John had stocked up.. As they devoured their meal, one of the monkeys showed up and Tinashe just looked at it with much fear. John told the boy that there wasn't anything to fear, but Tinashe couldn't help but recall his brutal beating. Several monkeys then appeared and John began to take out more fruits and gave some of them to monkeys. Tinashe felt like he was observing a zoologist at work. The monkeys all ate peacefully, ignoring Tinashe who seemed shaken by this unnerving experience. John simply laughed it out as Tinashe grimaced. As soon as the monkeys had left, John then said to him, "Man was meant to conquer all animals, if you don't fear them then they won't have a reason to see your weakness. Anyways, you made me laugh though." Tinashe simply nodded and laughed it off. The two of them were about to start a journey together; one of training, discovery and emotional healing. John hoped to level up with this boy and to find others so that they could form a group of like minded individuals who would grow together and not opt for the assimilation method.





John and Tinashe had made a routine of training, exploring the island, taming the animals and building structures in the cave. John's approach to leveling up was making sure all his stats were balanced. Instead of rushing towards maxing out the first 4 stats to transition to level 2, he believed that having all his stats being high was better than only finessing only one facet of your inventory. A week passed with no sight of any life and the two of them began to think that maybe the others were not on the island. As they took time to explore the island, going past the gorge and the gigantic waterfall, they managed to find another beach. There they could hear the sound of something hanging on a tree. They ended up seeing a woman who was athletic, 5'9, wearing grey sweatpants and a torn up tank top. She was hanging on a coconut tree, trying to knock down the fruit. The latino looking girl with long hair looked pretty but at the same time bland. Without the filters of makeup, she was all natural and looked a bit pale. 





She managed to get a hold of the coconut and then jumped off, landing on the ground in a rather cool way. The girl noticed them and waved at them, excited to have actually seen someone. Though the two of them were happy to have finally found a new person who they could recruit, something bothered them. The girl looked familiar but they couldn't really pinpoint where they had seen her. Tinashe then uttered, "She looks like Maya Vijou, the pornstar or maybe they look alike." John then fixated on her appearance abit more and then nudged him on the back, "I guess even the ladies of the adult industry can be found in the afterlife. You have good eyes Tinashe, that is definitely the cum slut known as Maya Vijou." With this new turn of events, a highschool student, a famous writer and now a pornstar, things were about to get interesting for these 3 in Goshem.

Also, the rent for this year has already been paid, so you don't have to worry about that either!" He pointed at the gym and said, "I've already been here for quite a few years, it's very popular! We don't understand why the boss wanted to sell this place at all! Bro Yu, listen to me, this is definitely a good deal for you. You'll definitely make tons of money."
