The initial members of the start-up company, XlouS, were only Ren Hong and his dorm roommates, adding up to six people, which was just enough.
Apart from the school's officials, other students had no idea that a company founded by a schoolmate was established on campus. Ren Hong and the rest kept a low profile and didn't advertise much, while the school was also limiting itself only to internal communication.
This was how XlouS began to get on track.
The first thing that Ren Hong and the others had to do was to change the layout of room 317 to make it more like an office. After the six of them briefly changed the layout, Ren Hong purchased 10 computers, as well as three printers, necessities, and other required hardware.
After spending three days setting everything up, the company was officially open for business.
This afternoon, the six of them gathered in room 317.
"The hardware is well taken care of. Now, let me tell you what kind of product our company is going to launch." Ren Hong stood on the podium and looked at his five roommates. At that moment, there was only confidence and anticipation in his eyes as he was finally about to launch his first product to the world.
"Allow me to introduce you to the company's first product." Ren Hong announced, turning on the original projector in the room and large characters shone on the screen.
"Real-time Online Translator?" Zhang Han looked on suspiciously. Not only him, but the other four people were also confused. Although they were dubious, they quietly listened to the introduction of the confident boss on the stage. They were surprised. They always saw Ren Hong as an introverted and academic person. But at that moment, his confident smile and powerful voice on stage completely overturned their original impression on him.
"Our first product, which I've named 'Real-time Online Translator', is an application that supports three versions—Android, iOS, and PC. It has been largely developed and perfected." Then, he logged into his Facebook account and started browsing his friend list, which consisted of friends from all around the world. After some time, he stopped what he was doing and looked at the crowd again. "Have you realized anything, gentlemen?"
After seeing little to no reaction from the five of them, Ren Hong navigated the computer and logged on to Instagram, another social media application, and went through the pictures and comments shared by users. Soon after, he also logged on to Twitter, followed by several foreign websites.
"What?!"
All of a sudden, Zhang Han, who sat among the crowd below, yelled out abruptly, staring at the projection screen with bewildered, widened eyes.
"You *ss, you gave me a fright! Were you possessed or what!" Chen Kai said with great annoyance.
Zhang Han completely ignored the dissatisfaction expressed by the other party as he pointed at the projection screen and shouted in excitement. "Amazing! It's divine! How did you do that? What kind of algorithm did you use?"
Ren Hong, who stood on stage, finally smiled when he saw Zhang Han's reaction. It was apparent that Zhang Han had realized it.
"You still don't get it?" Ren Hong looked at his roommates who hadn't seen the magic in his work, before turning to the screen and speaking in excitement. "Real-time Online Translator makes communication barriers a thing of the past! Chen Kai, do you know what this means?"
"Oh, Lord! It really is godlike!" Zhou Hui finally reacted. And soon after, everyone also responded.
Since everyone present was currently using these social networking platforms and proficient in English, they weren't affected by the communication barrier too much. That was why they didn't react instantly. But after a few moments, they finally discovered the magic. This was an incredibly powerful translation software. When Ren Hong browsed pictures on Instagram, the accompanying comments were all in Chinese characters—be it English, German, Russian, Arabic, Japanese, etc., all texts were translated into Chinese characters, while retaining Instagram's original user interface. All that changed was the text. Similarly, when Ren Hong logged on to Facebook, the same was true for websites with huge cultural differences and belonged to different countries and regions; the text displayed was all in Chinese characters, while the website UI remained unchanged.
What did that mean?
It meant that a Chinese person who knew absolutely no English could understand the content of foreign websites.
And what did that mean?
This was a godlike translating software.
Ren Hong smiled, looking at the stunned and exhilarated crowd. All of a sudden, he made a cameo appearance, saying, "Hey! My name is Gabriela, and I am a 16-year-old girl from Buenos Aires, one of the biggest cities in South America. This is the first time I am using Instagram to share my personal life and I look forward to making new friends on this social media platform and seeing new people from all over the world sharing their local specialties."
Ren Hong continued. "The words that Gabriela said were originally only understood by those who knew Spanish and the written language. But with Real-time Online Translator, whether you are German, Chinese, American, or Russian, you will know what Gabriela was trying to say when you read the message."
"That's just how interesting it is!" Ren Hong wore a plain smile, gazing at his stumped roommates. He added: "Technology changes life. With the development of the internet, and in the era of mobile internet, the high degree of information sharing and trend of globalization are unstoppable. By relying on these social media platforms, two people located in the eastern and western hemispheres can communicate and interact face-to-face across time and space. By relying on the internet, we are able to learn about the outside world even quicker, and at any time we want. However, what always troubles us is that different regions, languages, and cultures make a natural barrier to communication between people."
"But we can finally say goodbye to this annoyance with the birth of Real-time Online Translator; the perfect solution to this barrier."
The more Ren Hong spoke, the more thrilled the five of them became.

The outfits were as colourful as a summer garden. 

Bold yellows, magenta, cyan and emerald green, sky blue and mostly crimson red. There were sequins sparkling in the brilliant afternoon sun and feathers of every color. 

Wherever you looked there were painted faces and masks, 

The man and the wife that I met earlier walked down the middle of the crowd blowing bubbles or waving as they went, The charming Chinese music was the heartbeat of the crowd and welcomed us all. 

As I walked down the hall, Practically everybody was  glaring  at me. Even my attackers, I must've really looked good because the maids all stared in astonishment since  I didn't allow their help. 


I made my way up to the front of the room, where I noticed that the painting that I saw yesterday was hanged. 

The couple from yesterday stood under the portrait beaming at me as I made my way next to them. 

On the center of the room stood a table where there was a white bowl and next to it a very clean dagger, and an  old Chinese man who wore a simple white cloak stood in front of the bowl holding some kind've book written in Chinese. 

"You look beautiful, darling!" The blonde lady complimented. 

I nodded my head in pleasure and looked at the Chinese man, next to him stood another man except he was much more skinnier and he was wearing large glasses, I'm guessing he was a translator, but there isn't no need for that. 

The Chinese man shot me a soft smile and started talking, 
早上好,Alexstrasza女士.及時履行您的承諾.您需要做的就是重複我的發言,最後您將需要簽署一些文件.好的?
(Good morning, Ms. Alexstrasza. Fulfill your promises in a timely manner. All you need to do is repeat my statement, and in the end you will need to sign some documents. Ok?)

   The translator quickly started to translate, but before he could begin I answered, " 榮幸." (With pleasure) 

I quickly glanced at the translator and grinned. He looked down in embarrassment and refused to make any further eye contact through out the ceremony. 

     The Chinese man passed me a dagger and asked me to slit my palm and pour my blood into the bowl in front  of  him. 

    I did as I was told, and slit my hand calmly, I didn't flinch because I didn't find it painful, I've been through worse.  After that, I had to recite some lines which basically was like a pledge I am supposed to follow. 

"重複我一次,Alexstrasza女士" said the Chinese man. 

I nodded my head allowing him to continue. As he spoke I couldn't help but feel that I saw him before. He looked awfully familiar. He even sounded familiar. I studied his pale while skin-to his long silver white hair and the small wrinkles near his eyes. "Katsu" His name is "Katsu," I thought. 

I knew him from my childhood. He was the one who shipped me off to Japan.  He was the one who locked me and many other helpless girls in cages and made us starve to death while he and his crew members would eat in front of us. 

I clench my teeth, meeting my eyes with his black ones, I curled my fists and punched him. Everyone within the room gasped. I know I disappointed the couple next to me but they don't know him like I do. 

"Katsu!" I yelled. 

He looked at me with fear, I guess he was praying that I didn't remember him. 

"You have some nerve to show your face here as a man who purifies and gives therapy-when your nothing but a lunatic! How dare you show yourself to me!" I don't know why but I started to tear up, teardrops fell from my green eyes and drained down my rosy cheeks. "How dare you?" I cried.

One of the Caucasian fellows went away. He must have left to look for a translator. The remaining four Caucasian men were gesticulating with their hands for Jiang Fei to follow them into a meeting room within the ore mine for a private discussion.
Although these Caucasian men were all wearing some form of protective equipment against the radiation, they could not wear full sets of equipment like the other workers as they needed to retain their agility during fights. While the simple protective equipment they had on were effective, the equipment were all incomparable to Jiang Fei's mysterious ring. Now that they were in an exposed area within the ore mine, the radiation was way over the safety limit. Even high level metahumans would be harmed if they were exposed to such levels of radioactivity for extended periods.
"Alright!" Jiang Fei nodded as he followed the Caucasian men into a building in the ore mine. There were a few blocks of buildings in the area. Naturally, the buildings here paled in comparison with the tall buildings in the city. The buildings here were mostly two to three-stories tall with walls as thick as two meters. The reason for the thick walls was to protect the inhabitants on the outside from the strong radiation.
After entering the building, the Caucasian men seemed to be much more relaxed. They removed the protective equipment on their bodies. Although the level of radioactivity in the building was still above the safety level for normal humans, it could barely harm metahumans.
Jiang Fei waited in the meeting room with the other Caucasian men for nearly twenty minutes before the Caucasian fellow who left earlier returned with a translator as their voices could be heard from a distance. The translator whom he brought along apparently spoke terrible English and could barely form a complete sentence.
Very soon, the door to the meeting room was flung open as two men entered from the outside. One of them was the Caucasian fellow while the other one made Jiang Fei frown.
The other man, like Jiang Fei, had a full head of black hair and black eyes. He looked very much Asian, but was exquisitely ugly with unibrows, dog-like eyes, a huge onion-shaped nose, and thick sausage-like lips. His mouth was especially huge. One could not tell the difference between his lips and a big piece of Chinese steamed bun.
"Boss, this guy is a guard from Tokyo's Ito company. He happens to understand Chinese!" The Caucasian fellow whispered into the ears of the Level Four metahuman.
"Alright! I don't care who he is as long as he can translate!" The Level Four Caucasian guy nodded. He had initially prepared for the company to send a proper translator over. However, that would have taken at least another hour or two. Since there was someone in the ore mine presently who could act as a translator, that saved him a lot of time.
Coincidentally, when Jiang Fei and Han Tianyu ambushed the Japanese's nuclear experimental base in Africa, and Jiang Fei had stolen their nuclear materials, the Japanese had actually used it as an excuse to continue importing nuclear energy from the Australian mining company.
The Japanese promised not to refine the nuclear energy and gave the simple excuse that they only needed the energy for their nuclear plants to run. Although the excuse was almost laughable, the Australian Caucasian counterparts bought it without questions. They guarded themselves heavily against Huaxia, refusing to sell any ore minerals to the Chinese people, but were completely lax with the Japanese folks. Clearly, they had forgotten how the Japanese once screwed them over.
"Hmph! Didn't you refuse to sell any of the minerals to us? I am here to claim my stake and I won't even pay for it!" Jiang Fei chuckled to himself.
"Can you speak Chinese?" The big Caucasian man asked the Japanese translator.
"Yes, I can." The Japanese translator's English was so horrible that Jiang Fei almost wanted to smash him with a teacup nearby. From the looks on the faces of the Caucasian men present, they could barely tolerate the Japanese translator's poor English as well.
"Alright then, help us translate!" Since there was no other choice, the big Caucasian man had to make do with whatever that was available.
"A pleasure to meet you. I am the safety manager on site, High-Tier Shrine Warrior Kazas. May I ask why you have come here?" After the big Caucasian man was done speaking, he signaled to the Japanese translator to do his job.
"Chinese man, this is the High-Tier Shrine Warrior Kazas. You'd better spill out the reason why you have come here or else we will kill you on the spot!" The tone that the Japanese man used was completely different from the intended meaning of the original words.
"What a man! He actually wants to provoke us!" Jiang Fei's facial expression changed. It seemed that this Japanese fellow had no good intentions. He was trying to make Jiang Fei fight with these Caucasian men. Unfortunately, Jiang Fei happened to understand English.
"0541, what is this Japanese man's capability?" Jiang Fei asked in his heart.
"He is a Level Two Bio-Human!" 0541 answered.
"Piece of sh*t! Have the Japanese started appointing Bio-Humans as guards for the big players? It seems like they already have pretty sophisticated Bio-Technology!" Jiang Fei frowned.
Although he was surprised by the Japanese's progress in Bio-Technology, he did not give two hoots about the Level Two Bio-Human.
As Jiang Fei tightened his right fist , energy began to accumulate in his right hand.
Force Punch!
No one expected the saintly-looking Jiang Fei to lash out.
The immediacy of the impact from the Force Punch meant there was no chance for someone to react in time, including the Level Four High-Tier Shrine Warrior Kazas.
"Bang!"
The punch landed on the Japanese fellow's chest. Soon after, the Japanese fellow's chest crushed inward and the clothing material behind his back exploded. After the Japanese fellow was flung outside, Kazas and the others discovered that there was a huge gap in the Japanese fellow's chest. The internal organs such as his heart had all been crushed to a pulp.
Seeing how Jiang Fei had killed the Japanese fellow with a single punch, Kazas and the rest did not know how to react. They also could not understand why this kind-looking old martial artist would suddenly kill their subordinate. However, since Jiang Fei lashed out on their home grounds, they all took the stance of resistance in preparation for a fight.
"Hmph!" Jiang Fei snorted coolly as he turned around to land a punch against the wall.
Penetrating Qi Strike!
"Bang!"
As the Penetrating Qi Strike induced an internal explosion within the wall, the thick and strong cemented wall instantly exploded, leaving a huge gaping hole in the center.
"Quickly, put on your protective equipment!" Right then, Kazas could not care less about Jiang Fei killing someone right before their eyes. He immediately called out for his subordinates to put on their protective equipment as the gap in the wall created by Jiang Fei now exposed them to the radiation.
"Gigantic Saber!" Jiang Fei summoned his huge sword, which floating outside the meeting room. Jiang Fei leaped out of the meeting room through the gap in the wall and, as the meeting room was on the second floor, landed squarely on the Gigantic Saber which was floating mid-air.
"You bunch of fools. Why would you ask a Japanese fellow to become a translator? Don't you know he would try to stir things up the wrong way? Consider yourselves lucky that I am big-hearted enough to let you off the hook. I will take away some of your belongings as a form of punishment! If you want them back, ask your leader to find me in Huaxia's Zhongnan Mountain!" Jiang Fei spoke in English as he rode to the inner section of the ore mine on his Gigantic Saber.
"0541! Snatch as much as you can! We do not have much time!" Jiang Fei said in his heart. He had to steal as much of the uranium ore as he could while these Caucasian men were still in the state of shock.
"What did I just see? A flying sword? Could the tales of Huaxia's fairy legends be true?" Kazas' mind went black for a moment. He had forgotten all about the Japanese fellow who died just a few moments ago. He was a living witness of a Huaxia elder flying across the sky on a giant blade. He felt almost as if he was dreaming.

At the front desk, one of the officials presented the official team identification card to the receptionist on duty. The receptionist offered a smile and a bow of welcome but said nothing, knowing fully well that she would not be understood. She wasn't fazed. Instead, she quickly placed a phone call.
Due to the differences in languages, each country had three translators assigned to them. These translators were placed under the welcoming committee. It was the welcoming committee that the receptionist was currently contacting. 
"Yes, Team China." She said in Swiss German. "How many minutes? ...No problem. Thank you."
She turned to the team and directed them to the waiting area. It would be some minutes before the translator is here. On their way to the waiting area, the receptionist assessed the team critically. 
Were this really the Gods of a sport? She asked internally.
That's the question she kept asking herself as every country appeared before her. Some of them were really handsome and beautiful like one of the female players she just saw in Team China. 
But they all look so…so normal. Most of them looked like college students heading for a class with a few even looking like high schoolers. She had no interest in esports, much less in Glory. When she heard that the hotel would be used to house players and officials of an international esports tournament, she was a little excited. She wondered what the players from all over the world would look like. She had no idea they would look like this. Were they really the professional players? 
The receptionist shook her head and returned to her post. This was no time to get distracted. There were still two more countries to welcome. As she arrived at the desk, she saw the translator dash in through the revolving door. She waved him over and pointed to where the team was currently waiting. The translator hurried over, thanking the receptionist. 
Seeing someone hurry towards them, the pro players immediately tensed up; Su Mucheng's attack was still fresh in their mind. One of the officials immediately stood up and blocked the translator's path. The translator realized he was acting suspicious and immediately introduced himself.
"My name is Pili Baniti. I am one of the translators assigned to work with you. It's nice to meet you."
Everyone's jaw dropped. What was this? The person in front of them did not have a Chinese name, did not have a Chinese appearance but was speaking fluent, unaccented Chinese. They were all astounded.
Seeing the dazed looks everyone gave him, he laughed sheepishly and rubbed the back of his head. He quickly explained that he was an Egyptian who received a scholarship to study in China. After spending four years there, he had totally grasped the language and was now a fluent speaker. 
"I can also speak German so I'll will be in charge of any German-Chinese translations. Thank you for having me." With that he gave a deep bow as was customary in China. The team also gave their greetings. 
Pili began to describe the environment and some of the things put in place for the players. 
"There are 20 floors in the hotel. Starting from the fifth floor, each floor is to be occupied exclusively by the players and officials of one country. Team China is on floor nine. All the other non-country specific officials are on floors one to four. Excuse me for a bit. I will collect the key cards for the rooms." He walked off in the direction of the receptionist desk. One of the officials followed him to assist. 
They returned holding a bunch of key cards in their hands. 
"Let's go." Pili said and they all headed towards the elevators. They split into two groups, taking two of the elevators available. When they arrived at the floor, the first thing they noticed was a banner that said "CHINA" hung in the hallway. The next thing they noticed was that all the rooms were labelled with their names.
There were six unnamed rooms. These rooms, of course, belonged to the officials
Pili handed the key cards to the officials who in turn handed them over to the players. "The fixtures ceremony is set for tomorrow evening. If you would like, I can take you for a tour around the place before then."
That was fine by all of them. So he continued, "I am available in the building so if you need directions anywhere I will be ready to assist."
He bowed again and left towards the elevator. 
"Nice guy, isn't he?" Zhang Jiale said. Pili's easygoing attitude had made an impression on him. 
"He is."
"Yeah."
"Very nice."
They all agreed on the translator's attitude.
"Yeah, but I'm still shocked at his Chinese. It's really good." Fang Rui said. "I'm not sure I'll be able to learn a new language in such an amount of time."
"That's you. He's a student who received a scholarship. Is he on your level?" Jiale mocked.
"What do you take me for? Are you smarter than me?" With that the conversation devolved into trash talking and insulting. The rest of the players turned and entered their rooms. They had nothing to add to this kind of conversation.
