After an hour, Xia Yu lay on the balcony to rest, also letting the hamster rest.
Five minutes later, he began the chase again.
In order to frighten the hamster more, he tried not to be disgusted and lightly bit the hamster, tossing it to the side.
Another hour had passed. It was time to take a break. Xia Yu lay on the sofa, while the hamster hugged a chair leg.
A door opened. It was the door to Youxue's room.
The girl noticed the black cat on the sofa right away, but not the hamster by the chair leg.

"It's complicated"Rosey said and left the room. 
"What is your take on this crisis general? Do we engage and obtain Daphne's hand or...do I need to kiss someone else?"He asked, staring at the hamster as if it could talk back. Then an idea flashed across his mind.

He picked up the spell book, and flipped through some pages, till he landed at a page. He read the page repeatedly, then closed his eyes, a glass fell from the study table. Wind flew in, Acker's lips parted, he mumbled somethings then opened his eyes. They were green, in seconds, everything stopped, his eyes flashed back to their original colour. He took a second to meditate and relax.

"The Fuck!"
"Wait shit! It's like...am saying my mind and words are coming out! Holy...."
Acker's concentration was blocked by the voice, he looked over at the hamster, who was moving around the cage in confusion.
"Oh dude I can talk! And my voice is dauuuumn!"The hamster said, Yes, the hamster was talking, speaking real words it turns out that Acker casted the spell rightly and got the results.

"General? Is that you?"Acker asked, the hamster stopped moving around and stared at Acker, for seconds they stared at each other, Acker started to doubt his sanity.
"Fuck am just messing with you!"The hamster said, Acker almost fell down due to shock, "you okay?"the hamster asked.
Acker nodded, gaining his senses, "I didn't know I could do it, I did it"Acker said under his breath still taking in the shock of his success.

"This was you! With all that Hocus pocus Vudu? All that Abracadabra gimmick you got going on? Oh man I owe you my dinner for this!"The hamster said, still moving around.
"General, there is a crisis, and it needs immediate action"Acker said, sounding serious all of a sudden.
The hamster rested against his cage and said,"shoot!"
"I don't hurt animals"Acker said, "I mean tell me, Jeez! Lighten up man"Fluffs said.
"I....this is an embarrassing situation...I...."Acker placed his hand on his neck, still contemplating the right choice of words.
"Just open your mouth hole and let the words fly out"Fluffs said.
"A...A woman ki... kissed me"he said frankly and a silence followed. The room became silent, too silent.

"Excuse me? Is... is...is that your definition of a crisis! You have a talking hamster in front of you! And you....You think a hot girl is the problem?"Fluffs asked not expecting an answer.

"Is it Rosey? I bet it's Rosey, I see the chemistry you too got going on"Fluffs said, "Rosey?"Acker asked in disbelief.
"Fuck yeah! I just feel bad for missing the kiss"Fluffs said. "it is not her that I shared a kiss with, it is Daphne, her twin"Acker said trying to clear up the confusion.

"There are two of em! You my friend are a lucky bastard!"Fluffs said, "for an animal, you definitely possess a loose tongue"Acker said, "Well I wasn't the one who casted that spell now was I?"Fluffs asked not expecting an answer.

"Then I'll cast another"Acker said, "hold up! You were the one talking about duty and not neglecting your duty, it's YOUR duty and you know it"Fluffs said.

"Rosey will never believe this"he said half smiling and chuckling, till it dawned on him.
"I made Rosey's innocent general a loose tongued tyrant!"Acker said panicked.

A/N: I think this chapter was kinda... I have no words, Rosey and Daphne have this delicate kind of relationship. I hope they can resolve this and make up. Wait! Am the one writing? I totally forgot for a second...lol...

The man was still adjusting to the bright light in the room.

"I asked you a question!"She repeated.
"Where am I? How did you get here?"he asked.
"I should be asking you that! You're the one I found in a plant!"

"What is that abomination!"
"What this? It's just a burger. Here try it"Rosey said and offered it to him.

He sniffed it, and eyed it.
"What do you people put in this...burger?"He asked.
"Just Meat, buns, ketchup, Lettuce..."
"Lettuce!"he said almost yelling, grabbing everyone's attention.

After everything was ready, he finally collapsed into the reclining chair.

In the past, Zhang Zian always thought it was easy to run a pet shop. Now he finally realized that it was really difficult. However, this was his own choice, he had already sent a resignation letter to his company; it was too late to regret it.

But when he saw several energetic cubs full of beautiful fur innocently looking at him, asking for food, he felt that all of his pain had been rewarded.

"Galaxy, how about taking a bath?" he joked with his Lucky Cat, who had been observing for a long time.

The Lucky Cat shook its head desperately, indicating that this matter was not negotiable.

Zhang Zian also thought that the Lucky Cat didn’t need a bath at all, as his fur was even cleaner than those that had just received one. He really didn’t know how that could happen like this.

A little while later, the floral shop delivery man parked his electric tricycle in front of the shop and knocked on the glass door. He also tried to look inside through the glass holding the shed.

Galaxy had already carried its cotton pads and huddled into the corner. Zhang Zian bounced from the reclining chair at once and hurried to open the door. The cold morning air poured in with the opening of the door.

"Is this the flower basket your ordered?" the delivery man asked.

"Well, yes. Thanks a lot." Zhang Zian took out the money to pay him.

"Is this a pet shop?" the man asked while counting the money.

"Yes," Zhang Zian replied.

The man put the money in his pocket but didn’t leave. He looked inside and said, "How much is the puppy?"

"Is this the so-called business knocking on my door?" he thought.

Zhang Zian tried not to show his excitement and said, "My shop was just opened. There weren’t a lot of pets yet but we have a Samoyed, if you would like to take a look."

The man thought for a while and said, "Samoyed, I’ve heard of it before. How much is it?"

"Ah? So expensive? No! No! You are too deceptive! A puppy is much more expensive than a person!" The man hurried away with a brief wave.

Zhang Zian felt helpless and went back to the shop with a bitter smile. The price of ¥2500, which was almost the same as its cost, was not that expensive. He initially wanted to sell it for at least ¥3000. The pet had been immunized with six imported vaccines at Pet’s Home. Those imported vaccines were much more expensive than domestic ones. But he never had a chance to explain that, as the man had already escaped from him, as if he was running away from the Plague Gods. 

Pets were luxuries, not daily necessities. In other words, was it expensive to have a ¥2500 necklace? Was it expensive to have a ¥2500 diamond ring? Was it expensive to have a ¥2500 LV bag? 

"Not closing the deal today was okay, and it might have been a lucky thing for the Samoyed. If that man was barely willing to pay ¥2500 for it, once the Samoyed had a serious illness, the man would give it up, as the pet didn’t have medical insurance," Zhang Zian thought. 

When Zhang Zian thought of the word "lucky," he looked at the quiet and cute Lucky Cat with a smile.

When he had just laid down on the reclining chair, a girl with two braids peeked in. "Manager, are there any pets yet?" she said.

It was the little girl from the other day who had said her family couldn’t have a pet. She still had her schoolbag; it seemed that she had dropped by on her way to school.

"Yes, come in and take a look if you want," he said.

Zhang Zian was under great pressure, as he didn’t expect that the first customer would be a schoolgirl without any money. The girl gave a loud cheer and ran into the shop with her little schoolbag lightly trembling on her back.

"It’s okay to check the pets, but don’t be late for school, all right?" he reminded her.

"Yes!"

She stopped at the pet display area with her mouth half-open and full of excitement, looking at the Siamese cat, the British Shorthair, and the Samoyed. Then, her eyes finally fell on the little hamster.

Zhang Zian had just combed the hamster’s hair, which made it look very clean. Hamsters did not usually need to take baths, because they had very small figures. Bathing in the water could make them sick. If bathing was necessary, they had to be washed with special sand. As a matter of fact, the hamster’s activities area was limited to the cage, so keeping the cage clean would help keep the hamster clean, and no bath would be needed.

The hamster was a milky color, with chubby cheeks that were cute to poke at. It had three black lines on its head, going all the way down the back like the popular mohican hair style.

Half of the hamster’s body was buried in sawdust, and its two small round black eyes stared at the little girl.

"How small! How cute!" the little girl exclaimed and clapped her hands.

She looked left and right around the hamster cage made of transparent, acrylic plate circles. It looked like she wanted to go into the cage and play with the hamster.

The lights in the Amazing Fate Pet Shop were regional. Zhang Zian dimmed the light in the middle area to fit to the little hamster’s vision, it being a nocturnal animal, so that it could see the little girl.

"Anyway, there are no other guests right now, so it’s better to save power," he thought.

"Manager, what does it eat?" she asked, turning her head toward Zhang Zian.

"Well… It has a mixed diet, such as common fruits and vegetables; in addition, peanuts, melon seeds, yellow beans, and black beans are also okay," he answered.

"Oh! Can I bring something tomorrow to feed it?" The girl bit her lips nervously, begging. She was concerned that Zhang Zian wouldn’t agree.

"Sure, but don’t feed it too much. Just several peanuts are more than enough. The hamster is so small that it doesn’t eat a lot. If it eats too much, that will not be good for its health," Zhang Zian said.

"Thanks, Manager! I am going to school now, bye-bye!" 

She hurried out just like she had come in, with her two ponytails and backpack swinging up and down.

"Kids at her age should be dropped off and picked up at school by their parents. How could her parents let her go to school by herself?" Zhang Zian thought.

When the little girl had just stepped out, a slim figure entered the door.

"Was that girl your daughter?" Sun Xiaomeng asked.

Sun Xiaomeng’s first sentence after getting into the shop almost made Zhang Zian faint. The old wounds of last night were not healed, but new wounds were already being made today.

"Am I so old?" Zhang Zian touched his face, depressed.

Without the white coat, Sun Xiaomeng appeared to be a young, urban beauty. Zhang Zian barely recognized her.

"How do you have time to come today?" He rose up from the reclining chair.

"Well, is it a question? My pet clinic was just opened too. There are almost no customers, just like yours, so I stopped by." Sun Xiaomeng didn’t even greet him, walking directly towards the display case and playing with the cubs.

She had done all the cubs’ vaccinations, so they seemed very close to her, immediately trying to get to the side of the display case.

"No, no, you misunderstood that my shop was really just opened. The customers are on their way here!" Zhang Zian stressed.

The doctor I saw back then in the theater room came in and introduced himself.
   "Hey, how're you holding up? I'm Doctor Hamster Cage".

Hamster cage?  Interesting name you've gat there Hamster.
What a name!

God! I need to do something about the thoughts in my head.

Seeing that I never responded, he continued. "And you're Cassandra Manchester. Any body pains or weird feelings? I need...".
"I just feel tired" I cut in before he could finish his sentence. 

"Okay, that's fair. I'll be back to loose the stitches so, be prepared".

loose the stitches?! Oh! This doesn't sound good. Cassandra Manchester, sounds like you're about to experience hell.

"Stitches? Will I be given sedatives or tranquilizers just to induce the pain?". I asked staring directly at him.

JSYK, If there was a staring competition, I'd surely come first. 

"Well, due to what we found out..." He paused for a while and I swear I couldn't figure out what that look meant when he stared at me. It was so plain.
He continued "we can't give you tranquilizers or sedatives coz it might cause some complications to your body and that's because you have a weak immune system------" of course, I couldn't let him finish his sentence just when I interrupted him.

Oh great! Nice way to cut in Cassie.
Let the man finish his speech damn!

"Complications? Weak immune system?! Am I going to die? No! Am I dying already? What's---" the doctor cut in.
"No dear, you're not dying and you're definitely not going to die. You're okay, just relax and breathe". 
"Please get her some water" he said to one of the nurses who's a male who kept staring at me like he's been staring at poop for the past six minutes he's been here.
"Miss Cassandra, don't worry. I spoke to your mom already when she came by this morning. Everything's under control".

What?! Mom came and she never bothered to check up on me.
Well, I'm not surprised though.

"Okay". I said sheepishly in a sad tone. The male nurse handed me a bottle of water with a smirk on his face.

Good timing. Just when I needed the water.
WTF?! Is this asshole trying to mock me or what? What's with the look?

The doctor and the nurses left my room and just when I was about to turn my head to the right, I saw the same boy who kept staring at me the first day I got here like we were having a staring competition. He stood by the door with his arms folded.

He's got a cute smile and his eyes...my gosh! So mesmerizing. His eyes were as blue as the ocean and it made him look like he wasn't from this world.
How come I never saw this right from day one? Well, I couldn't get a proper view of him coz he was far away.

Our eyes met. I was about to talk and that's when I noticed his pink lips.

Cassie, you're a pervert!

"Why are you in my room? You're lost or what?". I said with a frown.

Seriously? Few seconds ago, you were crushing on him. What's with the attitude?

He laughed and said "I see you've gat an attitude there little lady. I'm---"
"I'm not little. Mind your words". I interrupted him and said to him with a frown.

"Okay ma'am. I was about to tell you that I wasn't in your room yet. I was by the door not in your room. Get it right". 
  "Are you seriously trying to piss me off right now? Coz if you are, then it's working". I said in a low tone but it's obvious I was getting pissed.

"I'm sorry, I never meant it that way. My apologies".

My eyes fluttered open. At first I was really confused, I didn't know where I was! But then I remembered the previous day and my encounter with giants. Great, it wasn't a dream. I looked over at the massive bed in front of me to see that Aiden wasn't there so I got off the pillow and onto his night stand. I noticed a small letter (well still pretty big to me) and read it. 

Gone for breakfast, don't go anywhere ;)

After reading the word breakfast, my stomach growled. Man I was starving! I wished I had my bag with me, but it was still at Nathaniel's. I decided to go back on the pillow and relax a bit before I spend the day with Chad. I had only spent a couple of minutes around him yesterday and I already hated him; The way he grabbed me like I was nothing more than a bug, the way he treated me like a pet, and the way he booped me!!! He was just so patronizing, it was annoying. I mean yeah I was small, but it was still super annoying. I heard footsteps and Aiden walked in, giving me a bright smile. 

"Morning sunshine! Ready to start the day?" 

He placed his palm beside me so I could get on. He was about to go out the door when I stopped him.

"But what about your sisters?" 

"Don't worry, they're outside. And my parents are busy on their computers, you'll be fine," he gave me a reassuring smile. 

Ok that was good, I wouldn't have to deal with 3 little girls. Then again they weren't so little. Gosh I hated being small! 


We arrived at Nathaniel's house, much to my dismay. Although he wasn't as bad as Chad, I certainly preferred Aiden. He walked up to Nathaniel's room, where he placed me on the desk. Good to be back. 

"Here's your bag little lady," said Nathaniel as he dropped my bag on top of me. 

He gave his signature smirk. My blood boiled as I glared at him. He chuckled, mimicking my expression. I let out a groan of frustration. I looked over at my bag, then down at my clothes. They were filthy! I had worn them all day and all night, I really should get changed. I picked out some clothes and made a little pile. 

"Um... a little privacy please?" I said, gesturing to the pile of clothes. 

"Oh of course!" said Aiden, grabbing Nathaniel's arm and pulling him out the door. 

I sighed in relief. Finally a moment of peace, away from giant eyes staring at me and studying me. I got changed into a black tank top and comfy shorts. I put my flannel over and took off my socks. My feet were in dire need of a breather so I just wore my crocs. I looked through my food stock and found my sandwich. I ate it in 3 bites because I was just so darn hungry. After I finished, I called the boys back in. They both walked in, but unfortunately they were now accompanied by Chad. 

"Awwww you look so cute!" he said, about to boop me again. 

But this time I shoved his finger away. He chuckled then gave me a wide grin.

"Well, I'm ready to go, thanks again Nate! You're the best," he picked me up in one hand and my bag in the other. 

I started squirming and kicking, despite knowing that my efforts to escape were futile. He shook me a bit to get me to stop, and sadly it worked.

"Catch ya later bros!"

Ughhh he even talked like a Chad! 


When we arrived at his house, I was in aw. His house was huge, even for giant standards. The house had a massive front lawn, 4 levels and was wide and bulky. I lived my whole life in a small cottage, so I was definitely not used to this. When we got inside, I saw a pool through a glass sliding door. Chad walked up the flights of stairs up to the third floor, where his bedroom was. His room was also really big. He had a king sized bed, a gaming/tv area, a dresser and a desk. His room was decently tidy, a few things here and there. He set me down on the floor. I shivered as he stood up to his full height. He grabbed something from the closet. It was a... hamster wheel? 

Oh no. Oh no no no no no. I did not like where this was going. I tried to run to the door, hoping that I could somehow escape, but a massive hand plucked me off the ground by the back of my shirt. I was overcome by vertige at the sudden movement that whisked me into the air. Chad brought me up to his face, where I could see an evil humour in his eyes. I kicked him in the nose and he let out a small grunt and looked away. I smiled. But it quickly faded when he looked back at me with a glare. 

"For someone so small, you're quite the handful."

He set me back down, beside the hamster wheel. Chad pulled out his phone and got down to my level, as if ready to take a video. There was no longer an ounce of fear left in me as my anger took over. 

"You're funny if you think I'm getting on that for a stupid video."

"Does it look like I'm joking? Now get on!" he flicked me and made me fall over, but I got back up.

"Sorry pal, not gonna happen. You don't scare me!" 

"Oh really?" he lifted an eyebrow. I did too, challenging him. 

He got up to his full height, trying to threaten me. My neck hurt from looking up so high. He lifted his foot slightly, as if about to step on me. He continued to lift it higher and closer to me, until the sole of his shoe was right over me. I still refused to move as if I were in a game of chicken. I still didn't move until I felt his shoe lower. His sole touched my head as he applied the slightest bit of pressure. I collapsed to the floor as his shoe got nearer and nearer. 

I finally crawled out from under there, just as his shoe hit the ground. I gasped, my heart in my throat. I could've died if I hadn't moved in time. I could've literally died! I was still gasping for air when Chad got back down. 

"Scared yet?"

I simply stared at him. I just couldn't find my voice. 

"Oh come on! I wouldn't have actually killed you! I was only kidding. But, now that you're calmed down... how about that video?" 

Even if he said that he wouldn't kill me, I was still too terrified to say no. I got into the hamster wheel. I looked over at Chad one more time before I started to run. He had his phone in front of his face, but I could tell he was grinning at my humiliation. I ran for about a minute when Chad set his phone down. 

"Aren't you just the cutest little thing!" 

He continued to watch me lose my dignity until he finally told me that I could stop. 
When I got off, my heart was beating like a drum. Not because I was tired, (I was quite fit after all) but because I was so scared about what Chad would do next.

"Wow I am starving! Time sure flies when you're having fun."

After Chad got back up, he picked me up by my leg and brought me over to a really high shelf. I could feel the blood rushing to my head, until he finally dropped me on the shelf. 

"Now don't you go anywhere missy!" 

Like I would try! The shelf was even taller than Chad. Guess I'd have to stay here. And I was getting hungry too, but my bag was all the way back down on the floor. 


Chad finally came back, looking satisfied with himself. He came over to where I was and stared at me, a puzzled expression on his face. 

"What to do, what to do..." 

I just shrugged, I didn't want to give him any ideas. He snapped his fingers and beamed. 

"Oh I know! You can go on my bed, and I can jump on and let you have a little trampoline ride!" 

"Uhhhh that's ok..." 

But of course he ignored me and simply grabbed me around the waist. He brought me over to the bed and let me fall face first into the comforter. Good thing it was just a bed... 

"Ready? 3, 2, 1!"

He jumped onto his bed and I went flying. I'd like to consider myself a thrill seeker, 
but this was waaaay out of my comfort zone. I plummeted back down to the bed, only to be sent flying again. This tedious cycle went on for what felt like forever, but I don't think it was even a minute. I finally felt myself slow, until the bouncing ceased completely. I lied down on my back, trying to catch my breath. 

"Awww! Don't tell me I scared the poor little girlie," teased Chad, giving me a mocking grin. 

Gosh I really hated him. I took control of my breathing and sat up, glaring directly into Chad's deep bleu eyes. Then I felt my gun and knife. I still had the upper hand... I think. Yeah I think so. Chad must've seen a slight look of confidence, because he grabbed me in a tight fist. 

"You hiding something little girlie?"

"Nope," I lied. 

I'm usually a good liar, but Chad didn't look convinced. Without warning, he held me upside down by my leg again, this time shaking me a bit. I could feel my weapons sliding out of my pocket. My heart sank as I saw them fall out completely onto his awaiting palm. Chad stopped dangling me and placed me in an even tighter fist. 

"A little small to be handling a gun like this don't you think?" 

He walked over to the trash, about to throw my only methods of protection away. 

"Wait no! Please! My dad gave me that knife! I don't care about the gun, but PLEASE let me have the knife!" I begged. 

I didn't care if I looked pathetic, I didn't even care that I was crying. I just wanted the last thing my dad gave to me before he lost my mom. Before we both lost my mom. 

"Your dad gave you a knife, really? How gullible do you think I am? You're just gonna stab me with it aren't you!"

"No, I won't! I promise!" 

Chad stared at me a little longer, trying to decide if I was lying or not. 

"Fine. But if you try ANYTHING, I promise you you will not enjoy the consequences," 

He threw away the gun, but loosened his fist so I could grab the knife. He set me down by my bag and ordered me to put it away. After I obeyed, he picked me back up by the back of my shirt, bringing up to eye level. I tried to look away, but he basically filled my whole vision. 

"You know what? I think I'm getting bored of you. I'm gonna go watch some Jetflix,"  (sorry for the unoriginal name :/  )

Chad set me down on his desk and put his hamster wheel away. This time he brought a small cage out of his closet and approached me with it. 

"Get in, I don't want to worry about you trying to escape," 

I did what I was told and got in. I pity the hamster he must've had long before me. Chad closed the cage and went downstairs, slamming the door behind him. I had to cover my ears because of the loud noise. I looked around, contemplating my situation. Ever since I got here, I've been held, squeezed, poked, prodded, put in a jar, been dangled by my leg and now I was in a cage! I let out a scream of frustration and kicked the cage. Why was this happening to me? I was just trying to get a better life, away from foster care. But now I was stuck in the giant world. I sat down, hugging my knees to my chest and started crying. No not crying, bawling. 

Why me? Sure I sometimes lost my temper, but I never hurt anybody! I got good grades. I was nice, except for when I got mad. I cared for my parents. I respected the land around me. I wasn't a bad person! So why was the univers punishing me? I felt the tears slow so I took a deep breath. I would find my way out of this. I just had to! 


Chad came back after hours. He glanced at me for just a second, before gathering his pyjamas. He started to strip, IN THE SAME DARN ROOM AS ME! I yelped and looked away. 

"What? Never seen that before? You never got on with human boys?" he laughed. 

"Of course not! I'm only 15!" 

He laughed harder. 

"So? I'm 16 and I can't count the naked girls I've seen," 

"Ew! You're a filthy pig!"

"Watch your mouth," 

And I did. Even if i couldn't see him, I could feel his glare. 

"Good night little girlie," 

I turned around.

"Wait, I don't have a bed," 

"So? Not my problem," he said as he focused his attention to his phone. 

Well, I guess that I'm sleeping on the cold steel floor of the hamster cage.
