POSITIVE REVIEW :

Tl;dr - Reincarnated mechanical engineer brings about industrial revolution in the Medieval Era (imagine going on an invention spree in the 14th century introducing steam engines, Newton's laws, Einstein's theories etc. Become the greatest scientist in the history and rule over the world), with the help of witches that are falsely called the devils incarnate by the Church. The world building is great, the translator is amazing and this story is a must read!!

The first thing I will say is that the title doesn't justify the story. If I was to sum up the story till now, it would be 'Engineer in Another World'. An interesting theory XD
The MC is level headed, smart, and he thinks like a student of science, and not like some stubborn and foolish idiot. He is nither arrogant nor a coward.
This is a story of an engineer being reincarnated in another universe, as a good-for-nothing prince and will fight against his siblings for the throne. And he uses science and stuff from his previous life in this world, which is still in the era of kingdoms using swords and crossbows, and becomes the overlord of the world.
Imagine you being reincarnated in 1500s. I will invent electricity, machines and everything I've learnt, and name then all after me. I will become the God of the masses and get worshipped by the whole world XD. Our MC is not that arrogant. He is humble and respects everyone, unlike a lot of novels. And there are witches in the story. From the sypnosis we get that the witches are hated by the whole world and our MC fights for them. I won't spoil it for you guys.
From the story so far, I think there will be lots of scheming, planning, plotting and conning others in the future chapters. Till now there has been no mention of things like cultivation levels or anything such. I don't think it will be a story where the MC is nuts about cultivation and becoming an immortal, which is different from a lot of xianxia novels, and I think this is one of the really good points about this story. The author is doing a good job at building the world, and I would recommend this novel very much

CRITICAL REVIEW :

Release that Witch is a surprising read in a sea of webnovels. It isn't perfect, and I'll elaborate on that, but it's above the garbage often seen. There won't be plot spoilers in this review except the obvious "Yeah he helps witches" so continue with that in mind. Enjoy my mini-novel review.
Unlike most CN webnovels, RtW distances itself from Wuxia and enters the magic flintlock genre. With a setting reminiscent of medieval times, you've got a cast of knights and nobles and peasants. This isn't a new concept. In fact, it's old and worn. But it's how it's done despite the tropes, and for the most part, the author managed well. The twist is that the protagonist comes from our modern day, and this twist carries the story in both obvious ways and more subtle ones.
Had the first chapter never mentioned the origins of the protagonist, it would've been hard to realize at a glance. The name of this regular guy is soon forgotten as he takes upon the role of Roland, the fourth prince, and you will probably only know him as such. The previous Roland was a fool, as often these stories make them be, so when our modern day hero takes over, it becomes a familiar journey of climbing to kingship. He no slave or farm boy, but his status as nobility begins low relative to his siblings, and gives us, the reader, something to cheer for.
This brings up the advantages of a modern day man in a period lacking knowledge. But as you can imagine by the title, what keeps this in the fantasy genre is the inclusion of witches, giving Roland cards to play on his path to glory, literally and figuratively.
Witches are ostracized as devils and killed. Their powers are clearly seen and isn't mystical voodoo no one believes. And our protagonist becomes their friend. Whether it's because he's interested in a scientific standpoint or he's a friendly guy isn't important. What's important is the role witches play in the grand scheme of things.
Roland's Border Town becomes a bastion for them. His kindness and acceptance toward witches attracts a flock who aid and make possible things that would otherwise be impossible. Like many novels in epic fantasy, it becomes too much, and details become lost. Because of the story's scope, beside a select few witches, many of them take a backseat and are reduced to tools to help Roland grow his empire. This is a shame because the cast of said witches is fun and varied. Unfortunately you'll only familiarize yourself with certain ones, and the rest are non-existent until the protagonist has use of their power.
Those powers have an important role, and it's here that magic and technology mix. Roland's ability to rise up depends on magic, boosting his ability to quickly reach the industrial age of guns and manufacturing. You'd think one might overwhelm the other, but balance is kept in check. There are clear advantages to witches, yet they're no army. By helping witches, he's given the chance to command an army unlike any seen before, and with his knowledge, the overwhelming advantages he has crushes the opposition and gives Roland a legitimate claim to the throne.
I have mixed feelings about this. On one hand, he should know things others do not. On the other hand, he knows too much. Roland was a mechanical engineer before, but apparently he knows chemistry, biology, the education system, war tactics, shipbuilding, and who knows what else. Basic knowledge is fine. What this guy has is unacceptable, however.
"Hey, I'm going to write a chemistry textbook telling you every formula in the world. By the way I'm going to jot down a 500 page manual on how2biology. And I'm going to rewrite an entire play or three, by memory, perfectly. But wait there's more! I'll add in a physics course for free. Did I mention I'm a master plumber, farmer, and blacksmith? Hell, have some music theory too, because I'm a mechanical engineer who took some GE classes and we can all do that while governing an entire city as a full-time job."
Like, what? Some defend this, but there's literally nobody who can do this. Stop trying to "logic" it. Can anyone recite every country in the world by heart, right now, and every state and city and province? Can they list the periodic table in its entirety 20 years after they've long forgotten their high school chemistry class? Do they have seven phDs and a photographic memory? Literally autism. And if you don't want to admit that, then Roland's a Mary Sue, period. Frankly, being overpowered is fine. But let's call this story what it is and not pretend it's anything otherwise. Release that Witch is a power fantasy for teenage and young adult men.
Only in foreign webnovels do protagonists get a pass for being overpowered, which is called bad writing anywhere else. Even Superman has his Kryponite, whether it's a rock or vulnerable friends he must care for. Millions are enthralled by something like Game of Thrones because the characters are human. They are flawed and morally gray men and women who may not survive to the end. Protagonist-chan? He might as well be an alien, because nobody is perfect.
And this is an issue because I've never been concerned for Roland's well-being. He's perfect, and thus boring. While he's no fighter, he doesn't need to be. He is in no danger because he's not one step ahead but twenty steps. I'm quite certain that a witch introduced hundreds of chapters ago, who has never done a damned thing, will suddenly become relevant at a critical point. Then he's going to say, "Just as planned." But because the author didn't give our hypothetical witch any show time, it'll look like our prince pulled it out of his behind. Rest assured, Roland has his bases covered with a plethora of beautiful women surrounding him. He doesn't need to worry about them, either, since they're also ridiculous.
What's also boring is how dull his knowledge can be. It drags the story down when the author harps on about molecules. Imagine a football fan yapping in your ears about his favorite team while the season is airing. Now imagine you not giving a shit, since you'd rather watch Rick and Morty or Futurama or something. This is what it's like when the author writes about details no one cares about. Your eyes glaze over and you skip entire paragraphs as terms you've never heard of are talked about. Please stop. Go back to the story.
Speaking of story, like many in epic fantasy, there are multiple factions with intrigue and espionage in the background. There's a cabal of witches, the church, and the princes and princesses vying for control. The writer touches upon all of them in a third person omniscient point of view, meaning you see what happens at a bird's eye distance and hear the thoughts of all characters. The reader is in the know of things our protagonist is not, and of events he doesn't witness. Possibly good, probably bad. Although we learn more about the world than Roland does, we don't get to experience the surprises in store for him in the future because we'll be in the loop. I personally lean toward this being a negative because this just becomes info dumping and telling rather than showing. Where's the mystery if the author introduces a new character, then immediately tells us his secrets? His life story, his children's stories, and the name of the gopher in his front yard--there goes whatever interest I have in said person.
Another negative is the grammar. For a translated novel, it's okay. But being readable doesn't mean it's correct, and if you're someone who understands basic grammar rules, little things will bother you. Punctuation and dialogue tags, for example, or the incessant use of passive voice. The editors could do a better job. For the last time, you can smile dialogue. When will they learn?
Now I'm going to talk about what this story is and isn't. Despite the roster of witches, all of whom are women, this is not a harem. It has the potential, but it isn't and hopefully won't be. This story is also small on romance. Because of the cast size, Roland doesn't have time to dote upon characters you may or may not ship together. It's present and there, but it's a subplot. Though some may praise the romance, I can't, because I don't see it becoming more than superficial. There's maybe one chapter focusing purely on relationships as of the 200s. How this is good romance is beyond me. RtW is and will always be about Townbuilding 101 and the politics that come with it.
If the main course of the novel is reaching a modern day quality of life, then witches and magic and such are like the side dish to add flavor to the meal. If one witch is salt and another is pepper, you'll get a lot of salt and pepper. But again, because of the story's scope, you're not going to get much paprika or garlic or chives. They're there, but only as one-dimensional additions. Let's not mention the named knight or three. Unfortunately, you may forget who half the cast is. But if you love the few characters that get the screentime of an A-list actor, you're in for a wild ride.
Anyhow, if I had to recommend a Chinese webnovel to a reader who doesn't like Chinese webnovels, this story would be my first suggestion. At the same time, it's so far away from the typical CN story that it almost doesn't qualify as one, yet technically it is. There's no saving face or retarded "can't see Mount Tai" or wow, he can't decide whether he should laugh or cry 100x. It's not a story of self-improvement by getting lucky finding an artifact, then senseless slaughter. It's a standard western epic fantasy that also suffers from CN webnovel tropes, and whether that's what you want or not, that's what you'll get. It's unique, but not unique. It's done okay, but certainly not groundbreaking.
I cannot get over the detachment I feel for most characters. I like the characters placed in the backseat, never to be heard from again. I like the subplots that'll never be brought up in the future. Instead I read pointless specifics on topics I couldn't give a rat's ass about. Instead I learn Roland paves some roads, and maybe adds a few more witches I'll forget exists. Worst, I'll never be worried about him because I know the fourth prince will pull through unscathed. Why, then, should I or any reader care what happens? The stakes aren't high. They're as low as the dirt under our feet. And when the hero doesn't struggle to achieve his goals, then he didn't earn those victories. Roland is given them on a silver platter, and suddenly, everything he accomplishes is diminished. Zero tension, because every battle is already won.
That doesn't mean I didn't like it. It's still enjoyable. But the fun factor degrades. So I have to ask myself why I should read this pseudo western fantasy. Why should I read RtW when I can read Patrick Rothfuss? Why should I read RtW when I can read Brandon Sanderson, or George R.R. Martin? These known fantasy authors have been picked up by publishers because their work are proven sellers, and have years of practice under their belt in writing. Release that Witch competes in the same genre, but doesn't have the same polish. So for a webnovel it's above average, but compared to published novels vetted by professionals, it has glaring flaws. By virtue of setting alone comes its own pros and cons.
Lastly, I want to say that the story really drags when the releases slow down. Because it reads differently, the pace is different and does not fit the norm of CN webnovels. If you binge read it, the experience is better, but the translators are not keeping up as of late, and my interest in the story suddenly tanked. And once I let the story sit in my mind for a while, I realized it's really as good as people say it is.
Tl;dr, Release that Witch is pretty good for what it is. Release that Witch is also pretty bad for what it pretends to be.

Before you start reading, I'd like to address the world and characters of the novel.
At first, it may not be apparent, but later on, the world will slowly unravel itself. There will be characters and points that you might not get at first, but each one will become more relevant to the plot in later chapters.
I just want to tell you that this story does have a world and it does have a place that it is going to, but that will only be enjoyed by someone who reads past the first or second or fifth chapter.
If you want to get an introduction of the world before reading, there will be an introduction down below, but if you want to read without any prior knowledge, skip this and continue down the path of this book.

Now, where do I begin?
This world is the same as yours and mines it has the same history, the same laws, the same techonology, the same countries. But there is one difference between the two. Heaven and hell exist.
In this world, there are humans called Witches who take the power of Satan and use it for their own benefit. The Witches vary from Immortality to Creation magic. But overall the premise is the same. There are people who roam the earth with the power of Satan in their back pocket, causing a ruckus and trying to gain control over one another. 
They gain this power through a Necronomicon, where they have to write their name and create a pact with the Devil himself. 
There are also Witch Families built around these Necronoimicons and powers. Each family is spread across the world, but our story takes place in America, the epicenter of a war between the Immortality Family aka the Immortal Horses, the Ice Family aka the Witch Hunters, and the Burn Witches who have an alliance with the Immortal Horses. 
The Immortal Horses at the beginning of our story have taken over the world. And the Witch Hunters have gone underground, hiding to strike back in the shadows. 
But at the same moment of this war, an eclipse is coming. And on the day of an eclipse a special increase in power spreads across the entire United States. So on this very day, the Immortal Horses are declaring a sixth True Immortal to join their ranks. 
A True Immortal is someone who can truly never die, and someone who can live longer than any regular Immortal can.
So now our story is set. A woman named Aria is traveling across America, in search of Immortals to kill and interrogate. At first, she has nothing to do with any of the fighting and wars between the families and Witches but is instead acting on her own revenge. But eventually, after learning about an urban legend, of a man named Demophon who has lived longer than any Immortal she has ever seen before, her entire world turns upside down. She learns that this man named Demophon is a True Immortal and can never ever die. 
After this meeting, the world slowly starts to drift back into chaos as the Immortal Horses start introducing a test to find the most suitable candidate to become the Sixth True Immortal.

Damon a Seven-Hundred-Year-old Immortal has lived his life trying to avoid the unnecessary and live in the shadows. But one day he is unearthed by a determined bloodthirsty young woman who has a plan to infiltrate the Immortal Horses, an organization comprised of Immortals, and kill them all in the name of revenge.

Have you ever seen Harry Potter, because if you did tell me how it was since I never read it (#PercyJacksonforlifesuckas)? But enough with a terrible opening because ghouls and gals on this fine Halloween season, we talk about one of my favorite Webtoons! And since I shot myself in the foot with Noblesse and Ghost Teller already reviewed might as well try and crack open the only Halloween themed Webtoon I got left. But without further introductions, let's talk about how Hooky by Miriam, is the ultimate don't skip school PSA.
   Summary


    In a world where the tensions of humans and witches have been sky high for hundreds of years, the Wytte family, a rich and powerful family of witches, had the bright idea of sending their kids to school. Unfortunately for the brother and sister duo, they missed the first bus to said school. However, instead of going back home, they instead go to find a magical teacher of their own and end up in a conflict that will teach them far more than they ever bargained for.


    Characters


Dorain Wytte: A studious and smart student Dorain is the most likely to show off his skills but is socially awkward and can trip himself up now and again. Dorian is very proud of his witch heritage, which makes him the more inclined out of the 2 to improve himself. He is a competent teacher but an even more grounded friend being able to adapt to many situations.


    Daniel Wytte: The yin to Dorian's yang Daniel effectively makes up for her lack of knowledge through sheer power. She is a very bright and cheery girl who, unfortunately, is afraid of her magic power, which makes her more sympathetic to humans. She is the will to Dorian's conscience but tries her best to end the conflict between Witches and Humans.


Monica: She is the princess of The present human king. Originally Monica lives a very sheltered life, but as time goes on, she goes from snobby to a more grounded. However, out of her peers, she is probably the most willful and ambitious, never giving up and accepting her limitations.


Mark: The sort of big brother to the group, Mark is the soul and rock that keeps them together. He is always willing to help; he views magic as a helpful blessing.


Nico: A very ambitious, outgoing, and adventurous lad Nico is the first into trouble. However, underneath this trying smile lives a man with a crippling inferiority complex.


Good stuff


Hooky has one of my favorite art styles; it's very bouncy and colorful with individually colorized bubbles to add more characterization. The setting is also very playful, having a very storybook feeling with modern technology sprinkled in at various times. The story does have a couple of classic fairy tale references peppered throughout the story. Miriam keeps in mind the characters are unapologetically just kids in a messed up world, which makes a lot of their development and views feel very real. Every emotion displayed is very real and very high at all times, which can add to any scene. By the end, you feel like this group went from people of a common goal to a family. 


Hooky's biggest strength is in its message. There is not some secret villain behind all of it. The tension between humans and witches is a cycle of hatred that runs deep in their society. You can't fix everything with just a happy song and dance. Stories like X men, gargoyles, and Glacias also deal with this a lot. If there is a running theme in this story is easily not letting hatred and fear dictate our lives and instead allowing ourselves to live freely regardless of differences. And while I know the world is a lot better now, I think that we still can take a lot to learn from this webtoon since we often share our opinions without a second thought.


Epilogue


I know this is a sucky Halloween special, but as I said before, I shoot myself in the foot. But then again isn't real life scary enough? But don't worry, there are still many dark and terrible stories in store for you, dear reader. And it's up to me to shine a light on them all. Hooky was a passion project 4 years in the making and I resonate with her feelings on this story a lot. I'm going to really miss it with all my heart. But with that out of the way, Happy All Hallow's Eve to all and to all a good night.

Just a simple person is trying to shine a little light on the beautiful world of webtoon. With a splash of sarcasm, narration, and spitfire along the way.  And who knows I might have other segments just for the hell of it.

La San Niño is the far western land of the forgotten. It is divided into four lands. The La Sacrita of the North, where the prestigious Majica Academia resided.It is ruled by the second son of Lord Gilis and Lady Elise De Lixure, Lord Lucas De Lixure. La Selencia of the South, where slave establishments lingered in the very bones of its beautiful facade. La Amore of the West,the deserted lands of La San Niño, it's land is still unknown to others. Lastly, the Land of La Piñas of the East, where great vegatation adhered even though the rain does not stop pouring in to the ground. 

The the land of La San Niño is divided into four parts, these four lands are subdivided into towns which are ruled by magistrates, they can be a human, a green witch or a white witch. Dark and Black witches are not welcome inside the lands,they are the outcasts of the society because of their views on the pyramid does not agree to the views of anybody else. They are burned when proven guilty in front of the town hall either seen roaming around the town itself. Dark and Black witches uses human parts and other creatures organs to produce their potions and to conduct their enchantments, thus, they are treated as criminals in La San Niño. 


The Great war of Holy witches and Dark Witches created the existence of magical beasts and demons in the land of La San Niño. Magical beasts when killed, help humans nurture their magical prowess while demons creates the corruption of one's being. Some lineage are still unknown as different mutation of genes occurs in every creatures.

Selena Claire de Akkadian was the female antagonist of a popular boy's love web novel, entitled, 'The Crimson Tide'. She was the fiancée of the cold and aloof young lord of La Selencia, Lucas Del Sol Lorraine, who is the love interest of Lambert La Cartier. 

Lambert was a little commoner who met Lucas at a local tavern. They fell in love with each other, making the arrogant and proud Selena bore the name of the 'unwanted heiress'. She was executed in the novel for she was held responsible for poisoning Lambert and made him lost his sight in the process.

Lillian was a forty or so years old—unmarried—and an unwanted woman, who devoted her whole life in literary studies and reading fiction stories to fantasize about the archaic heroic figures of the past.

Lillian was having a good time reading 'The Crimson Tide' when the author announced that she will not be able to continue writing the novel because her grandmother was diagnosed with cancer, and she was needed to tend her grandmother at the hospital. 

With the sudden news of hiatus, Lillian missed a step on the stairs and knocked her head hard on the cemented ground. She unknowingly died because of her carelessness, but she was mysteriously reborn as the famously hated female antagonist inside the novel she was reading!

A gun sound rang out!
Lord Grim suddenly fired and a bullet came out. Using the recoil, he flew back, just barely dodging Fiery Blaze's Sweep.
However, his bullet had missed. A Witch could complete six combos in midair because Sweep gave the user a small knock-up effect. If not, then no matter how fast your hand speed was, it wasn't possible to complete more than two normal attacks before you landed.
Wang Jiexi wasn't an ordinary player. He fully utilized this and used Sweep while controlling his character in order to dodge his opponent's attack. Even though the bullet was fired closely and quickly, it still wasn't able to hit him.
"Li Ji!!" Wang Jiexi called out a name. Someone immediately answered back and then fired his gun at Lord Grim.
Li Ji. Part of Team Tiny Herb's Main Roster. He was currently using the Level 27 Sharpshooter, Untraceable Bullet. As a long-ranged character, he immediately fired towards Lord Grim.
Pro players' marksmanship didn't need to be mentioned. Though they didn't have 100% accuracy, their accuracy was much higher than normal players'. Untraceable Bullet was using the Level 25 Purple Weapon Western Revolver and instantly shot out six bullets.
Guns were different from other weapons. Attack Speed didn't indicated the bullet's movement speed, but rather the firing rate. The quickest is the Pistol with an Attack Speed of 10, capable of firing eight bullets in a row. Next is the Revolver, with an Attack Speed of 7 or 8, which could shoot out six bullets in a row. Next is the Crossbow, which could shoot out four bullets in a row. Fourth is the Rifle, with an Attack Speed of 2 or 3, and it could usually shoot out two bullets in a row. The slowest was the Hand Cannon, which could only be shot once before needing to reload.
Thus, like this the five types of guns had differences in Attack Speed. Players used whichever gun type they preferred. Besides Attack speed, different gun types did different amounts of damage and had different ways of calculating damage.
For example, for the revolver, the weapon fired a total of six times before needing to reload. Thus, each bullet's damage would be ⅙ of the gun's damage. The other gun times were calculated similarly. Besides this, there were also other special effects. For example, the Hand Cannon had AoE damage and the Rifle had Penetrating damage. All of the these effects could be triggered by normal attacks.
Untraceable Bullet shot out six bullets. It was too difficult for Lord Grim to dodge in midair, thus he immediately opened up his Umbrella. The Umbrella opened and all six bullets hit. However, these bullets just became a pushing force, letting Lord Grim move backwards even faster.
Everyone coughed a bit of blood. This ever-changing weapon was a bit too ridiculous! It could even be used as a Shield.
After Lord Grim landed on the ground, without even turning his head, he ran.
One versus nine. It definitely wasn't possible for him to fight them head on. These were all pro-players. Even if unspecialized characters had the advantage of a vast pool of skills, it wasn't so ridiculous that he could do that.
The reason Ye Xiu could easily beat Liang Fang and Liu Xiaobie was because one, he was more skilled; two, unspecialized characters had the advantage in the amount of skills; three, those two players didn't have any experience against an unspecialized character. It was because of these reasons that he was able to completely destroy these two opponents. The latter two reasons were the most important points. If not, then even if he is a God-level player, he still wouldn't be able to always win even against normal pro-players. The issue of on-stage performance had to be considered. Otherwise, what was the point of competition? If that was the case, then the winner would be decided just by looking at the player roster. This reasoning is the same as in football or basketball.
"Little Jie!" Wang Jiexi shouted. Gao Yingjie answered. His Weeping Crow quickly rode his Broom to chase after Lord Grim. Just as Wang Jiexi's Fiery Blaze landed, he quickly jumped onto his broom. These two Witches flew extremely low, almost touching the ground. The lower one flew, the faster one would be. This was because the distance that could be flown was limited. At the distance limit, the faster one jumped down, the faster one would be. This faster movement had to be done quickly.
Weeping Crow and Fiery Blaze flew at the lowest possible altitude. This action relied on mechanical skill to complete. Only extremely quick hands could instantly complete this move.
Lord Grim suddenly stopped. He turned around and sent out a Gatling Gun. With a shake, the bullets split into two towards the two players. Weeping Crow and Fiery Blaze split off going left and right respectively, avoiding the bullets. Because the two pulled away to dodge the bullets, they had no way of recovering their lost distance and time.
This halt gave enough time for the gunner to get into firing range. Li Ji and Liu Fei, the two Sharpshooters, both fired. The bullets flew out and the PK temporarily turned into a gunfight.
As overlapping classes in the team, the coordination between Li Ji and Liu Fei was originally a type of tactical choice. The two coordinated exceptionally well. Liu Fei's Fallen Angel fired straight at Lord Grim, while Li Ji fired where he predicted where Lord Grim would move.
The bullets repeatedly fell at Lord Grim's feet, hitting dirt into the air, but were unable to hit Lord Grim. Although Li Ji and Liu Fei's coordination was exceptional, how could Ye Xiu not understand what they were trying to do? Li Ji had predicted where he would move, while he counter-predicted where Li Ji would shoot.
Li Ji and Liu Fei were helpless. Their below Level 30 characters really did restrict their performance. If they had a few more skills, then they'd at least be able to control a larger area. But right now? Normal attacks were their main methods of attacking. In a PK, how could normal attacks work? In a PK, players mostly relied on their character's skills. But the low-leveled skills below Level 30 weren't really helpful right now for Li Ji and Liu Fei's coordination.
Yet even though they missed, their attacks still delayed Lord Grim. On the side, Wang Jiexi and Gao Yingjie continued to close in on him.
Desolate Land wasn't a flat land. While Ye Xiu made Lord Grim dodge, he had already figured out which direction to go to long ago. After a few steps, he jumped up and leaped over a short wall. With this leap, the two gunners could only vent their anger at the earth wall.
"Li Yihui, Zhou Yebai, to the left. Xiao Yun, Qiao Yifan, to the right. Gunners continue attacking head on to restrict his movements." Wang Jiexi ordered.
"Yes!!" The team members all answered and then set out to complete their orders.
Li Ji and Liu Fei continued to fire, so that Lord Grim wouldn't be able to expose his head and scout around. Li Yihui's character was a Grappler and he rushed forward from the left along with Zhou Yebai's Ghostblade. Xiao Yun's Battle Mage Cloudy Heavens and Qiao Yifan's Assassin Ashen Moon rushed forward from the right. The two Witches came in from the middle.
Of course, the Witches were the first to arrive. The left and right routes were to prevent Lord Grim from escaping to the side. Wang Jiexi's plan was careful and thorough. Except when he and Gao Yingjie's Witch flew over the earth wall, they looked around left and right, but Lord Grim had disappeared.
Wang Jiexi's gaze turned and turned until it landed on a shabby, clay room close to the earth wall.

In the blink of an eye, they arrived at the building. Deng Fusheng's Knight crouched and rolled, giving the two Witches enough space to fly through. Without looking, they began throwing out Disperse Powder left and right. The troops behind them quickly followed. In the end…..
In the end, there was no Lord Grim there. Everyone was at a loss. Only the two Sharpshooters outside didn't know what was going on. Their task was to cover for them. Their guns were still aimed at the door. Once Lord Grim rushed out, their task would be to stop him.
"Where is he?" Someone finally asked the question in uncertainty.
Wang Jiexi stared blankly for quite a while too. His character came out of the room and he once again looked around left and right carefully.
In Desolate Land, there really were a lot of these broken-down clay rooms. But in that short amount of time, Lord Grim only had enough time to move to this room. If he moved anywhere else, he would have definitely been noticed by the others.
"What happened?" Outside, the Sharpshooters felt that something wasn't right.
"He's gone." Someone replied to the two of them.
"Strange. Did you see him?" In Tiny Herb's practice room, everyone began discussing amongst each other. They all thought that their character's camera wasn't enough, so they were all looking at each other's computers to look for him.
"To the right, Sharpshooters fire!" Wang Jiexi suddenly ordered.
Everyone stared blankly. The two Sharpshooters turned their camera. On the right, there really was another building. The two didn't hesitate and immediately fired at it.
"Yifan, go check the back. Everyone else come with me and charge!" Wang Jiexi ordered. Qiao Yifan's Ashen Moon ran to go see if there was an exit at the back. The others hurried to inside this room.
They almost forgot. That guy had Shadow Clone Technique. If he used it to move, it would be possible for him to reach here.
Wang Jiexi had been thinking of this just a moment ago. After recalculating how far Lord Grim could move, he discovered that it was possible for Lord Grim to have escaped to this room.
The Sharpshooters kept guard on the outside. The Knight raised his shield and rolled in. The Witches both flew in together and threw down Disperse Powder. Qiao Yifan reported that there was no other exit and everyone rushed in.
Everything went smoothly. They had perfectly executed a surprise attack again. However, the results were the same as last time: there was no Lord Grim.
Wang Jiexi jumped out of the room and once again reassessed the situation.
That was it. Besides this room, Lord Grim had no other options. Even if he used Shadow Clone Technique, it wasn't possible.
"Could there be some other low-leveled skill that I overlooked?" Wang Jiexi began going over all 120 skills that could be learned before Level 20.
