In the evening at the Ling family residence
 Gathering the entire Ling staff and extended family, xiao bao who was sitting next to her father ceaselessly looked around the room.  Realizing that many servants and guards were not present, one of them was Ah Long.  Her personal bodyguard.
 Realizing her sadness, the father say
 "Ah long, fell asleep this morning and I moved him to the care department with other staff who were sleeping."
 "I know, since after I realized that this condition attacks not only yingying but many other people." Xiaobao answered weakly
 "I'm really embarrassing, I didn't realize something like this was happening." The girl cursed at herself for her ignorance. 
 The evening's meeting took place, and Xiaobao focused her mind to receive the information she wanted, the reality that was hidden from her, the situation of her family, and the state of this country.
 Picture after picture alternately appeared on the projector screen, interwoven with a picture of a website, articles about influential people, people with the same conditions as yingying, to graphs of mortality that had been increasing in the last 3 years.  And the last picture is an app with the same icon as the website that appears at the beginning.
 Information after information is explained to all those present in the room.
 Xiaobao just kept quiet and her eyes were fixed on the projector screen.
 Not because she did not understand, quite the contrary.  She understood very well what was happening.  She traced the files that had been collected by her assistant during the day and finished drawing conclusions about what had happened. And the fact that his father contributed to the spread of the malicious app.

 Along the steps she took to her room. She did not stop processing all the new information she got from the meeting.  Xiaobao immediately turned on her computer when she got to her room, she checked all the data about the app
 'Dream app.  App to control the dreams we want and apply dreams to the real world, starting from 2019 on a website and developing into an app in 2025 marketed under the Ling Tech company.  web founders and staff never appear.  The success of this app began as many people acknowledged that the success they experienced was due to them using this app.  From students, athletes, directors of companies, to artists and politicians. '
 "App that can set dreams.  But what causes people to believe in this kind of thing? " she muttered, after hours of searching for information. Without realizing she fell asleep on the table.

When dreams can be applied to the real world.  Can you still distinguish between dreams and reality?

 In 2035, the world was hit by a big problem, more and more people fell asleep and did not wake up anymore.  It all starts from an website

 8 different individuals, united with one common goal.  Save their love one and the world from destruction.

World Setting: 
The setting is set in an alternate world that is like the medieval time slash modern time. The first location is the Zovaidel Kingdom (similar to Cinderella setting)  which is ruled by kings and queens following behind is the four duke families. The world is sort of like the past fusing with the present and the future.  Nobles and commoners all have magical powers only that nobles have more potential than commoners. However, the setback is that woman have less magical power so their standing is always the lowest and seen as inferior. Each daughter and son are tested when they turn 5 years old to see what magical powers are suited to them. They are granted an egg that corresponds with their magical elements and how much power they have. The egg might have a beast, a weapon/tool, or an amplifier to their own cultivation.  To hatch the egg and for the egg to recognized you as the owner, it required blood. If there's a creature or weapon inside the egg, it'll become that person's contracted spirit.

Their weakness is light magic since they are made out of darkness. Another weakness is the light but they can overcome these two solutions if they can take human forms and grow stronger. But for all demons, Shadow demons are the hardest to level up.

As we go to the library again, I decided to sat down beside the bookshelf. I decided to get my phone, open it and play some music while we were studying.

 Yes i'm a big fan of bts. Their lyrics on their songs has deep meaning that can struck everybody on their hearts and can relate to anyone who was struggling about accepting and loving yourself and dreaming high just like me. That's one of the factor also why I'm rockin my collage life. 
You love to read mystery cases that's why I was starting to like these books eventually.

you looked on your book again and just smirk that makes my spine shiver.

I blanched.  Kaden ran a hand through his hair and sighed with resignation.

"It's not what you think though.'  He told me quietly.  "Most of us live off of, well brain waves, in a sense.  It's like your dreams sustain us.  The REM patterns are best."  I blinked and Kaden flinched.

"Well, that doesn't actually..."  I began

"Guys, what's going on?  You woke me uppp"  Moaned Brie, then more excitedly  "Oh my gosh, you woke me up!  Kaden can you do that again?  How long can you sustain it?  What else can you do?..."  Brie shut up as soon as she saw Kaden's hurt expression.  Brie smacked me on the arm, hard.

"God Rue-I fall asleep for five minutes and you've already broken him!"  Brie complained bitterly.

"Hey!"  I protested, but Brie held up a hand to silence me.

"What did you do?"  She demanded.  "Apologize, now!"  I crossed my arms.

"I won't"  I objected, glaring at Brie and Kaden.  I had a right to know everything I could if I was going to trust this guy.  Kaden sighed.

"No, she's right.  You should know"

After everybody settled back down with a beverage of their choosing, Kaden ran his hand through his hair and sighed again.

'Ok, so here's the thing.  My species, if you will," here he nodded to Brie with a wan smile "uses our particular anesthetic as a way of inducing a deep dream state in our, excuse the term: victim.  At that point in time, we are capable of picking up on and absorbing brain waves.  But it only works as long as we remain in skin to skin contact.  Think of it like charging a battery, in a sense."  Kaden grimaced.  I had so many questions, and opened my mouth, but he held up a finger to stall me.

"Now, some of us, with time, and experience, are able to hone our skills and can begin picking up on conscious brain patterns as well.  And if you really work at it, you can sort of step into a person's thoughts or dreams.  With practice, some can manipulate the 'dosage' of anesthetic to achieve different results.  Like a doctor giving you a general pain killer, a muscle relaxant or just going for a full out knock out.  It's sort of what I did to you on the trip here Rue-I blocked the pain of your headache because I could feel your distress."  Kaden was avoiding my gaze, I knew the worst was yet to come.

"And so, it would follow that from there, some of us learn to manipulate brainwaves, to disrupt the pattern, causing a change in dreams or even on some subconscious level, thoughts.  Unfortunately, that power causes some to begin to relish their ability to inspire happiness...or fear..and some, even death."  The room fell quiet after he finished speaking.

"Some of your kind enjoy KILLING us?"  Brie exclaimed.

"Well, so do some of yours."  Kaden replied.

"What kind are you?"  I asked quietly.

"I do not enjoy people's fears or deaths.  I don't cause nightmares or night terrors, nor have I purposefully taken a human life to date."  Kaden responded with pride.

"You said you helped with my headache earlier.  That means you're more than a little practiced at this...anesthesia thing...  That could make you potentially dangerous to us."  I stated.

"This is very true, but that also means it might well be within my power to coerce you both into doing what I want, or handing the item over without complaint, but you'll note I have not done either of those things."  Kaden explained, and I had to admit he had a point.  "However, the Lukoie we are up against... is not like me...  He is one that feeds on terror and death.  He's very powerful, and is trying to make it back to this plane because there is an abundance of riches here.  So many to feast on.  And from what I understand, fear and death are highly addictive.  This actually leads me to a little of why I'm interested in you Rue.  You've seen him before, haven't you?  In your dreams?  Or should I say nightmares".  A rush of images accompanied his words and my head exploded in pain.  Somewhere in my subconscious a damn burst and memories of dreams rushed upwards, threatening to pull me under.  I went limp and felt my knees hit the floor when I slipped out of my chair.  I was holding my head tightly, but still couldn't block out the shouting.

"Rue!  Rue!"  Brie's voice.  Suddenly cool hands gripped teh sides of my head.

"Rue, listen to me...  I'm sorry, I didn't know he'd placed a block.  I should've realized.  Don't fight me now, I can help you."  Kaden's voice was urgently calling to me and then slipped away.  Within my mind I was sure I heard "Let me in Rue, I can make it stop.  I can make the pain stop."  But it was so far away.

"I recognize you, little one. You venture into my kingdom often at night. Do you remember of what you dream?" The voice was mocking, with a hard edge of menace. Disjointed images ran through my head from my dreams. "You should know better than these others of what you face here." Eight feet above the ground a man's face had appeared. He leered, hard eyes and a cruel smile forming from the dark.  A heavy foot caused the shadows to scatter at his feet as he stepped forwards. Another step forward and his other leg appeared, along with a beard and short haircut. He swung his newly formed arms wide, shadows still clinging to them in tattered rags.

"For the rest of you, allow me to introduce the citizens of my kingdom." He glowered. Most of our group took a step back.

"These are you fears, they are your forgotten, they are your dead, they are your Nightmares, and I am their KING!" He proclaimed and the rest of the shadows solidified around his form, creating a loose black shirt, matching pants and a high pointed crown.

"Go, find the artifact! Let no man stand in your way." He bellowed to the assembled creatures with a smirk. "And mow these fools down if you must as you go."

Sometimes I have nightmares.

Sometimes those nightmares are real.

Sometimes they're warnings.



Fall into a world where anxiety becomes a super power, the main characters are perfectly flawed humans, nightmares are real, and the dead come back for revenge lead by the King of Nightmares

Kind of a slow start, things start getting interesting in the third chapter or so. Please excuse the rough quality, I'm still new to this. Any errors or misspelling, please let me know ?

While many people were still morning about the sudden death of their favorite artist, a man is currently having a good night sleep. In his dreams he was with his whole family eating dinner together.
"Mom you're really the best when it comes to cooking, the food in our canteen does mot taste good at all". Xiao Yang praised his mom happily.
"Really? If that's the case I will going to pack you food everyday, although it might not be as plenty as the food your canteen provides atleast you will be able to enjoy your food" Xiao Yang's mom said as she put more food to the plate of her family members. 
 The family continue to eat harmoniously when suddenly.... "Wake up, Wake up it's already morning, the sun is rising". Stardust voice echoed inside the bedroom which wake Xiao Yang up from his deep slumber. 
Remembering his dreams he recall the moments when he was still with his family 5 years ago before he entered the showbiz world. Even though they're not rich they're still happy, they're living a simple life but they were showered with love. Thinking about those days made him smile but it also make him sad. He now realized that he badly misses those days.
"Stardust what's the latest news today?" Xiao Yang asked while he was heading to the living room.
"X.Y there has been news that you were DEAD". Stardust replied.
"What? How is that even possible when I'm here standing in front you?" Xiao Yang asked confusingly.
"It is said that your car has been hit by a ten-wheeler truck which causes it to be burnt down. Your and Lan Ling's  remains were also burnt down to the extent that it was unrecognizable. Many people speculate that it was you and Lan Ling who died in the car crash and the police announces that it was confirmed to belong to both of you because of the circumstantial evidence that were gathered and your other personal belongings that were found at the scene". Stardust said as she read the news from yesterday.
Xiao Yang was dumb-founded when he heard the news, all this time when the people were mourning, he was here in his house sleeping deeply, he didn't have any clue that the world out there were in chaos. Thinking about how did it end up to be like this, he recalled what happen yesterday. While they were on their way home a man suddenly appear out of nowhere in front of their car causing his manager/ driver to immediately step on the brake. The fear that they might have hit the person, they went out of the car to check if something is wrong but suddenly the man pulled out gun from his pocket and other man came from behind was also pointing his gun towards them.
"Give me your money and cellphones otherwise I'll shoot you in the head" the man infront said while pointing the gun in their head".
Xiao Yang and Lan Ling look at each other. Although Xiao yang can fight we're still talking about the gun also they don't to cause any trouble for themselves so it's best to surrender, their safety is the most important.
"Okay, okay we're easy to talked with. Here take it, you can also have this watch of mine." Xiao Yang said calmly.
The robbers were glad that they get what they want easily. Thinking about the situation the other robber behind them got more greedy. 
"Now give us your car keys, we need it to escape", he said.
Xiao Yang and Lan Ling sigh, they thought that those robbers really know how to do their job well. 
"Bro just give them the keys so that we can now go home." Xiao Yang said to Lan Ling.
Following his order Lang Ling give the keys after that the two robbers immediately fled the scene.
"Looks like we run out of luck today Xiao Yang", Lan Ling said jokingly.
"Hahaha well that's how life is, I can't be that lucky everyday." Xiao Yang answered.
"You're right, good thing we're almost at house, only a few blocks away otherwise we will walk a very long way". Lan Ling answered.
When they reach Xiao Yang's house they decided to celebrate they're unexpected encounter today. They drink until midnight and because of that Lan Ling didn't went back to his house and end up sleeping in the living room that's why they don't have any idea on what's happening outside.
Unexpectedly, their unfortunate experience yesterday turns out to be their scapegoat from death. The robbers from yesterday became their lifesaver, maybe in life there is really a good and bad karma. It seems like the robbers already paid a very big price for the crime they have committed. It cost them to lose their lives, it looks like they not only stole money and things from them, they also stole their fate.
On the other hand, Lan Ling who had just woken up turned on the television and what greets him is the news about their tragic death and how the people were reacting because of this  he immediately become sober.
"Xiao Yang have you heard about the news already?" Lan Ling said while walking towards Xiao Yang.
"Yes Stardust already told me". Xiao Yang replied.
"I don't know if I should be happy or not. It's great that we survived and what happened to us yesterday saves us but it already causes a huge sensation. Thinking about it, we can just appear in front of them and explain everything, I'm sure they will understand and it will surely make you a hot topic again and will improve your popularity. What do you think about it?" Lan Ling suggested, just thinking about his plan makes him happy, he thought of it as a perfect plan.
Xiao Yang on the other hand already have something on his mind that's why he said with determined look and mischievous smile "Don't worry I already have a plan in my mind." 
Hearing him say that, Lan Ling can't help but worry.

Xiao Yang is a famous artist with a promising career but due to an accident he vanished from the entertainment industry. No one will ever expect that he changes his identity and entered into a university. Wanting to experience the normal life again, far from the cameras that always followed him and seeking for real friendship. He embraces the new life and started his adventure as a college student. Will he be able to achieved his goal without exposing his real identity and be able to find someone who can accept the hidden truth about him?

MC's POV

"I don't know how long I have been here, where is here anyway? Last thing I remember is me falling asleep on the couch in my office. Let's think rationally:
1) I can't move my limbs, in fact I can't feel them
2) I can't see anything around me
3) It's either nobody can hear me or I can't scream
4) I feel weightless, it's as if I am as light as a feather

 I doubt I have been kidnapped cause if I was, someone would have came in by now to check on me. I don't believe in aliens, so it's a no for the abduction theory. That leaves only one option… I died! But how did I die? Well, it either I was killed or I died of natural causes. I was in my office so I highly doubt that I was killed by someone, so that means I died of natural causes, but I was only 31 years old!!. Guess all the stress finally took its toll on me. That only sad thing is that I didn't get read the last chapter of Naruto."

'I follow as the voice said, and tried to open my eyes, at first It was weird, I mean you never have to think about usually, but I start to get the feeling of it. When I my vision, if I can call it that, clears up what comes to me is a tall and blond guy, he kinda reminds of Thor from the MCU,  that staring at me with a smile, that radiates warmth.'

"Are you God? Did the kid survive the surgery? Was my theory on how I died, correct? What will happen to me? Am I going to be judge now?"

???: Easy there son, one question at a time. For starts, No I am not God, at least Not the one who governs your universe, going by your standards I am the God of Gods, The Creational God. But you can call me Thor since that's the image you are seeing in. The kid you did your surgery on, yes he survived, in fact, his survival is somewhat the reason for you being here. As for your theory of how you died, well it is semi correct, see you where supposed to die a couple of years later for the reason you have stated, but you saved the life of that kid, and on that day a soul was supposed to be taken, and the angel of death from your universe, Azrael, decided to take your life since it was almost at the end of it instead, and don't worry  She going to be punished for that. Lastly, No you are not going to be judged since you weren't supposed to die. And the laws won't be judge you.

"Okay, but can you please not punish Azrael for trying to her job?, cause even If you told me saving that kid life, will use the last 2 years of my lifespan, I would still do it."

Thor: Why would you say that son? Don't you want to live?

I shock me head, and said "You probably know, I have...well, had nothing in my life, I didn't have a family, I was found next to a garbage bin that happened to be near a church, I never had friends, apparently someone from the church got drunk one night and started talking about how they found a kid in [the garbage], I was the only kid in the church by the way, unlucky for him and me someone there recorded the whole thing, then posted it online and The Internet being the Internet, found me in a matter of days, people started showing up left and right taking a picture of me, I found out later that they were posting it with stuff like: [Meet the Garbage baby] or [Here comes the Garbage], or parents warning their kids not go near me since I as the Garbage child, etc...  from there I was basically Isolated. I studied and became a doctor, thinking that they might see me as something more than  [a Garbage Child]. Boy was I wrong, due to jealousy from a [college] at work, he dug up everything about me and spread it out, after that I was called [ the Garbage Doctor]."

 As finished my story I opened my eyes, and apparently halfway through, I started crying. Looks like I held in my emotions for a very long time, because I don't remember the last time I cried like this. Anyway dried my eyes, with my hands. Humm? Hands, when did I get my hands back? and since when do souls cry tears?, looks like I have to ask him more questions. 

When I looked at Thor, he was looking at me with sadness and sympathy in his eyes. After a long silence. 

Thor: Are you feeling better now? I knew all about you, when I found here, and I know you still had a knot in heart. 

I smiled at him, said "Thank you, I feel much better now, So can I ask you, I don't seem to remember having Hands when we started talking, and since when a soul can cry? also what is going to happen to me now?"

Thor: -smiled- I gave your soul a temporal body for now, since I know it would be more comfortable with one, and as for what will happen to you, you have two choices, either you can stay here and live with me OR I can reincarnate/transmugate you to any multiverse you can think of with 3 wishes, one of them has to be your base bloodline. So, What is your choice?

"First of all, when you mean multiverse, do they include Anime and Manga worlds, and do the wishes have any limitations?"

Thor: -Smug face- Yes, When I say ANY, I mean every multiverse you can think of, as those multiverse are real, it's just that Gods are sometimes bored so we give the writers in our world, some [inspiration] in their dreams. No, the wishes don't have any limitations other that your own imagination.

"So, all the Animes and Mangas are real?..... Wait a second you said that The Gods give inspiration to writers in their dreams, doesn't that mean, you give the Gods the inspiration to that?"

Thor: hehehehe…. I don't know what you are talking about. So are you going to choose or no?

"Of course, I am going to choose, I want to be Transmugated, I don't want to go through childhood again, and can I keep my memory."

Thor: Yes, you can keep your memory, since you chose to Transmugate, you can design your body and choose your bloodline.

"For my First wish, I want a Growth-type System, with all the functions that you can think off. "Do you want me to go in with you?" Xu Suying asked, holding onto Xiong Jingfei's hand the whole ride back. "I can stay with you?"
They were about to arrive at Yang Zheyan's front gate in a few minutes, and Xu Suying didn't want to leave Xiong Jingfei alone. Not after the way she reacted at the shrine today. Also, Xiong Jingfei was awfully quiet the whole ride back. She didn't seem to want to have a single conversation with her and wouldn't say what happened between her and the crazy grandma. 
Xu Suying's parents were worried about Xiong Jingfei but decided to not ask or probed into it further. Seeing as Xiong Jingfei was refusing to tell them what happened. They will wait until Xiong Jingfei feels she is ready to tell them. 
Xiong Jingfei finally smiled at Xu Suying and shook her head. Today, she already worried and bothered Xu Suying and her parents enough. She can't keep dragging Xu Suying into her problems any more than she already has. 
Furthermore, what was there to tell Xu Suying? That she saw her mother through the crazy grandma? Pft, anyone told her that she would have laughed at it too.  
The most unbelievable part was that the little girl named Xu Song and the adult Xu Song in her dreams looked exactly like Xu Suying! It was already absurd that the people she keeps seeing in her dreams were the same people that are in her life. 
Then she started to remember those people's faces when she woke up from those dreams belonging to Ai. Feng Huan was the first person she recalled, then Zhao Fan, and the third person so far is Xu Suying. 
Before all she had were their names, but now it is different, she has their face and name too. They are the same people as those she knows in her life. There were still a few missing faces from the names that keep popping up in her dreams. A few that bothered her were Yang Zheyan, Wei Weimin, and Wu Yuan. 
When they stopped in front of Yang Zheyan's gate, Xiong Jingfei apologized and thanked Xu Suying's parents for today's trip. It was a trip that took an unexpected turn for her. 
"Sweetheart, are you sure that you'll be okay on your own?" Xu Suying's mom asked, getting out of the car with Xiong Jingfei. "Why don't you spend the night with us?"
Xiong Jingfei stared at those kind eyes belonging to Xu Suying's mom. They looked exactly like her mother right when she told her that she loved her. 
I really miss you, mom. 
She hugged Xu Suying's mom as a rejection of her invite. Xiong Jingfei knows how much Xu Suying's family cared for her, and she can't thank them enough. They are more family to her than her own step-mother and half-sisters. 
Xiong Jingfei walked through the long pathway up to reach the house. As usual, Yang Zheyan's place, whether it was outside or inside the house. It was quiet. 
She rarely encounters any of the employees taking care of Yang Zheyan's place. The only person she really interacted with was Nanny Liu. It also felt like the employees were trying to avoid her. 
When she entered the house, it wasn't as "quiet" as she thought it would be. Inside, Yang Zheyan was occasionally making a few comments, and there was another voice responding back. 
"Zheyan, I need you to do this for me!"
"Leave." Yang Zheyan said in a monotone voice. He wasn't paying any attention to Lu Weisheng's worries. Instead, his focus was on his phone since it was much more interesting than Lu Weisheng's topic. 
"How can you treat me this way? I did what you wanted! You wanted me to leave and stop living here, and I did." Lu Weisheng cried and muttered the rest under his breath, "I left you here alone with your bride, but you…"
Yang Zheyan waved him off, "You weren't supposed to even be here in the first place. Your brother is one phone call away." 
"Zheyan! As my good cousin and brother, I need you to help me clear up this misunderstanding!" Lu Weisheng rubbed his hands together, begging Yang Zheyan. "You know my older brother is not an option!"
If his older brother wasn't already on his back, Lu Weisheng would never beg Yang Zheyan for his help. Besides his brother, who can help him clear up this mess as always. Yang Zheyan was the only other person who could do it. 
Lu Weisheng didn't have the power to do it because it was taken away by his older brother. It was frustrating to be the younger brother and the one who causes the most headaches! 
"Ack!" Lu Weisheng jumped back and held his chest. "You scared me!"
Xiong Jingfei flinched. She scared him? He scared her!
Just as Lu Weisheng was thinking of how his older brother was probably coming up with various methods on how to punish him. He wanted to cry! Then the other person he has been most afraid of recently showed up out of nowhere. She didn't even make a sound! 
Well, how could Lu Weisheng take notice of her entering the house? He was too busy worried about his life that was on edge. 
Yang Zheyan finally looked up from his phone and gave her a warm smile, "Welcome home, darling~."
Eek, what happened to the devil? Lu Weisheng rubbed away the goosebumps on his arms. No matter if it's Yang Zheyan fake smile or gentleman manners, he never used this type of voice when talking to others! 
Then there was a part of Lu Weisheng that felt betrayed! He was shouting and pacing back and forth, but Yang Zheyan didn't even bat an eye. His beloved walked in, and he was all smiles! 
Xiong Jingfei responded to Yang Zheyan with a tender smile. Right, even Lu Weisheng is unaware of their fake relationship. But… This panicking person was the same person who tricked her into thinking he was Yang Zheyan. Making her believe she was having an affair with Yang Zheyan's cousin! 
"W-welcome home sister-in-law… Hahaha." Lu Weisheng nervously laughed, not realizing his head was creating water. Every time he sees Xiong Jingfei, that scary image of her keeps popping up on its own. 
She looked at Lu Weisheng up and down. What should she do with him?
