40. The thief who tested the king 
 
A crooked thief was sitting on a tree in a forest, looking for somebody to loot. He saw a sadhu passing by quietly below. Just to test the sadhu, he threw a stone on him. That sadhu just looked up, but by his nature he was such a soft. happy, graceful person, that he did not react with any anger. He thought that maybe this man is mentally sick, that is why he is throwing stones at people. So he raised his hand and blessed the thief, thinking. 'Let you be blessed, let you be healed, so that you will not do this kind of thing again!' 
The thief thought. 'Ah! I think, in this part of the country people bless you if you throw stones at them!' Soon, a king who was on a hunting trip arrived on the same route with his retinue. What do you think this foolish thief did? He threw a stone on king also! The king's people just caught him and aut off his head! 
Understand: the thief gave what he had, the sadhu gave what he had and the king gave what he had! The sadhu had a healing nature, so he healed the thief. But the thief's nature was to be violent, so naturally he attracted his own destruction at the hands of the king.

Hello again my friends it seems you've made it thus far in my tale and now we will close the covers of the second book of my tale and began now to open the third book's cover and reveal its story and the message of his tale. For Marcus is quite the fox, if I must say so myself, now I'm not just referring to just his looks though as he has always had a special charm to him that can really make one's heart sore. Especially as he grows older every moment. Now it seems he has really began to draw some attention towards himself both good and no so good. He's finally given Rebekah her dream as they've mated and soon will be wed. This indeed is a sign of his as well as those around him's journey's start.
Now before you ask no I've still not met him or any of the other members of the prophesied hero team. I haven't even met any of his other friends at this point yet. So none of what you've read nor will be reading has come from me personally witnessing the events as this was all told to me by Marcus or his friends.
This also means that once more my pass must stay a mystery thus no I still can't tell you really anything about me not that me or my past is what any of you really paid to hear about. Maybe at the end of my tale I'll be able to reveal all of my secrets to you but for now it would just be a distraction and not what you really want right now. So for now just know that I'm a friend of Marcus and his band of sexy and unique companions.
So just as I opened the first two books with a question it is only fitting for me to do so once again with this book here and for this question there are many answers, but I will give you the most common.
Question: What is a Thief?
I know its not the in depth and challenging question you may have been anticipating after the last questions I've posed you with, and I was a bit misleading with the comment about there being multiple answers. Yet this is a key question for this book will indeed follow Marcus and Rebekah as then hunt down and seek out the prophesied Thief. So with out any further delay the definitions or answers to my question.
Answer Number One: A thief is often recognized as one who steals or takes things that do not belong to them. These are often also referred to as crooks, robbers, pick pockets, burglars, and rogues.
Answer Number Two: A thief can also be referring to one who takes from others using skills like, lock picking, pick pocketing, stealth, and slight of paw. There are some who do this personal gain while others are more of a Robin Hood, stealing from the rich and giving to the poor.
Answer Number Three: A thief is most always considered to be a filthy, no good criminal or outlaw. Someone who thinks of themselves as being above or outside of the laws or rules. This often leads to them always being on the run and there always being a guild just for them so they always have others looking out for them and willing to offer them a safe place to rest and hide.
Now, why would a prophecy focused on a group of heroes destined to save the world, would it include one of the most disposed types of people throughout the whole empire. Well, I'm glade you asked and even if you didn't well I'm going to tell you anyways. You see the Thief of our story is a combination of all three answers for he is a thief unlike any thief ever seen before or since.
Our thief uses his skills of lock picking, stealth, slight of paw, as well as his personal knowledge of the ways, routines and habits of the guards. Now the only people who consider our thief to be an outlaw or criminal are those who write and I force the laws. I guess also those he steals from, but like I said there is a type of thief that is hated by the rich but loved by the poor. Our thief is a thief like that for he has no need for the money or food he steals and has even stolen from his own family's storehouses.
You may be wondering if he had the means to feed the poor why steal from himself and not just give it. Well the answer is simple he's not the only one who has a say in he family wealth. In fact many of his family are the reason for there being so many poor in his village as well as the neighboring areas. He's even tempted his fate by stealing from both the Temples of Ono as well as the Temples of Ari near him.
Yes, it seems odd that the divine sisters wouldn't do something and many have even questioned this but then again most of the money stolen has just been sitting around waiting to be used. In fact some believe that the sisters allowed him to take the money and only had their prophets claim it was stolen to increase his fame and mysteriousness.
In the end we may never know for no one really knows who the thief really is. Well I do, but if I just go telling you now there would be no point in you reading the rest of this book. Okay, that's a lie as well because there is a lot of other great things that happen in this book that are just amazing and very hot and sexual, but I digress and will just stop talking now and just let you read on as our adventure once more continues. Hang asked Chomo, So how can you say that I had
kept your book even though you checked my bag8
for 2 times but you didn t get any thing related not
only to you but also to anybody of our class. And
when you lost your maths book then Su(one of our

classmate) stood up and give you the book,right?

(Chomo was going to loose her temper for
Hang but there was teacher near them sO she

didnt do anything to him.)And then Chomo
replied woof.. yeah! I know that Su give me the
book immediately. (without giving chance to

Chomo, Hang interfere) So, you had came to know
about the true situation so,now are you willing to
apologise me by saying me shameless thief even

though you don t have anything that hold against
me clearly. But not only you disrespect me but
Chomo also said thatI am the thief now tell me
how can I face them after this incident and also

there was Our English teacher who was teaching

about how to be a good person not only in showing
but also from inside too, how irony incident had
Occured after the teacher complete his sentence.

Hang again said, Sir,you clearly knew what are
my behaviour because you had seen me from my
childhood but.." Chomo replied(by shouting)'oh!
so what? you had good reputation and you were
nominated to be discipline student of the whole

college it has no any connection with today
incident because you are the thief, CCTV footage
had clearly showed that, didn't it? Or are you trying
to manipulate the truth by your schemeful words.

You also clearly know that in you deep heart you
are the one who is real thief, dont you? If you are

willing to say, You had acused wrong person,l am
not guilty of any crime if I am guilt in even in small
thing related to today situation then I'll submit my
leaving the school letter to vice principle. Then I'l
say sorry to you infront of every college teaching
and non teaching staff and along with students of

both shit and whole stream. Now tell me, have you
got guts to say it.? I'll give you 10 minute to think
about it because you need to be confident while
saying it so what is your choice?

(Hang is now in big trouble, his heart beat is
beating very fast and he wants to take the risk
but he is scared if he had unknowingly some

role in loosing the book.... Then what will be its
consequences.)

(Fun fact: Im writing this chapter after taking

break about one week to remember what really
happen on that day, this incident had occured in
real life but the way it is going to continue is my

own imagination. And I had finished writing the
chapter at GMT, 4:30 am.)

The character in the novel is in real life and the incident happen is the truth happen in the life of the characters but the story is going to be different as all of us are now still under 19 but this story character has minimum age of 21

That piece of information uncovered a plan that left Noah speechless. It involved two rank nine existences that wanted to come back from the dead!
Noah had no words to express his astonishment. It was clear that he knew nothing about the Immortal Lands after his conversation with Supreme Thief. There was simply too much going on under the unaware gazes of the existences in the seventh rank.
"Who has the power to kill you?" Noah asked. "Is the ninth rank the peak of the cultivation journey? Can Great Builder really cheat death?"
Noah stormed Supreme Thief with questions, and the latter revealed a surprised expression when he heard Great Builder's name. It seemed that he didn't expect Noah to make that connection.
"Life can offer such wonderful twists," Supreme Thief said after sighing. "You must be quite unique. I didn't expect to meet someone like you from towers built on stolen inheritances. Maybe you do deserve more than a simple speck of my soul."
Noah's eyes lit up at those words, but Supreme Thief didn't give him the time to ponder about them. He stood up and played with his hair before focusing again on Noah.
"This whole place is only an accumulation of my gains," Supreme Thief said. "The bottom of the towers hides paths that lead to my real inheritance. My corpse is also there. Use this information as you see fit."
Chaos fell on Noah's mental sea. That description matched what he had seen inside the pyramid. Supreme Thief and Great Builder had created similar structures to prepare for their resurrection.
"Heaven and Earth have followers," Supreme Thief continued. "I have always seen them as slaves, but their power can match mine. You will eventually clash with them if you continue on this path. I couldn't defeat them, and you will probably end in the same way."
Supreme Thief wasn't praising Noah with those lines. He was only describing the situation of the Immortal Lands for existences that carried laws alien to Heaven and Earth's system.
"Will you continue on your path even after learning this?" Supreme Thief asked, and his expression became dead serious at that point.
"You ask this as if I had a choice," Noah replied as a faint smile appeared on his face. "I either succeed or die trying. My ambition doesn't allow me to walk any other path."
Supreme Thief stared at Noah for an instant before exploding into a loud laugh. He had seemed surprised about his reaction, but he didn't appear displeased about it.
"Perfect!" Supreme Thief replied as his hand went on his eyepatch. "Then come, gaze into my world and learn the true meaning of stealing."
Noah bent toward Supreme Thief, and the expert lifted his eyepatch. Noah's focus went on his left eye, but he couldn't see anything since a blinding blue light filled his vision and made him cut any connection with the outside world.
Countless images flowed inside Noah's head. They didn't depict anything specific. They were nothing more than emotions capable of affecting all his senses at the same time.
A profound meaning seeped inside his mental sea and dispersed among his mental energy. Noah felt that he had understood something immense, but he couldn't describe what it was with his words. His mind also felt unable to recall those emotions. They seemed too heavy for his current level.
"Stealing is only a trick, a drawback of my individuality," Supreme Thief explained once Noah regained his focus. "You will eventually understand this as long as you don't let go of your greed. For now, I can only wish you a fun journey."
"I have so many questions," Noah said, but Supreme Thief's smile widened as he shook his head.
"I won't give you more answers," Supreme Thief said. "Our time together is over. Ghosts can't bother the living for too long."
Noah felt a pushing force driving him away from the hall. His feet slid on the polished floor of the tunnel, and bricks appeared on its exit as Supreme Thief began to seal that passage.
"Heaven and Earth," Supreme Thief's words echoed through the tunnel as Noah slid away. "There is so much to steal, so much to take. You can't suppress us all for too long. Even your infinite and immense power won't be enough to contain us one day."
Noah shouted questions, but Supreme Thief didn't even look at him. That interaction was over, and Noah didn't have the power to delay its end. It was time for him to go.
As Supreme Thief's monologue echoed through the walls, the tunnel closed and cut off his voice. Noah couldn't hear him anymore and flew, driven by that pushing force inside the hall where he had fought the giant golem.
'What the hell just happened?' Noah shouted in his mind once he returned to the previous hall.
His conversation with Supreme Thief felt like a dream whenever he recalled it. The things that he had revealed hinted at a battle that involved followers of Heaven and Earth and independent existences.
'They will surely go after me at some point,' Noah thought as he reviewed what he had learnt.
He did not doubt that matter. Noah had confirmed his status as an enemy of Heaven and Earth multiple times already. They would surely send someone to kill him as long he became stronger.
'I can only focus on my personal power since I can't avoid this outcome,' Noah concluded in his mind, and the book seized after defeating the big golem appeared in his hands.
The words "embodiment of power" appeared in his mind again when he inspected its thick black cover. The book didn't seem old, but it lacked the mysterious vibe that most resources previously handled by powerful cultivators had.
Noah opened the book to inspect its contents and was pleasantly surprised to find that it described a technique that he could use. The "embodiment of power" was a process that used "Breath" as fuel for physical strength, and it was something that only the owner of that inheritance could use properly.
The only problem with the book was that its contents were incomplete. It didn't have any missing pages. The owner of the inheritance didn't complete the technique before writing it down.
That wasn't a surprise since the owner had been nothing more than a rank 7 cultivator in the solid stage when he died. He lacked the expertise to broaden his technique and make it more accessible to other cultivators.
Still, Noah didn't mind that incompleteness. He actually preferred it. Most inheritances would force him to modify his rewards anyway, and he would have it easier if they weren't complete to begin with.
'I might be able to use it with the right modifications,' Noah thought as he read through the contents of the book.
The technique described a series of specific positions that he had to perform while he filled his body with "Breath". His body would slowly learn to feed on that energy after a while and obtain surges of power once it fueled its functions.
That process was similar to Noah's black vessels but also vastly different. It hinted at an idea that had the potential to become the best body-empowering technique in the world.

"So, that's how my life ends, what a waste of time it was...". 
These were the last thoughts of a young man, shot by accident in a fight between local gangs. Little did he know that he would soon wake up in another world, a world of cultivation! 
This is the story of the whoreson of a wealthy family, of a transmigrator that had no purpose in his previous life, of a demon that will make power his reason to keep on living.

Fred took out the two vials filled with green liquid and the tattered book that he got from the chest.

When the girl saw the things he was holding, she was stunned. As a clerk here, she was trained to recognize all the items that came out from the dungeon before she was appointed to a dungeon.

When she saw that he took out a book, her previous judgment that he is a pitiful man changed. She previously thought that by the fruitful journey, he was talking about the 17 small magic stones.

But now, it seems like he really did have a fruitful journey based on those things that he took out.

Fred placed the book and the vials at the counter to let the lady clerk have a look at it.

She picked it up and inspected it, a few seconds later she said, "There's no problem with these vials of Body Strengthening potions, but for the skill book... Our appraiser is currently out at the moment." she has an irritated and forced smile at the end and you can also see her eyebrows twitching,

'THAT DAMN GAMBLING ADDICT OF AN APPRAISER!' is what she is thinking inside of her.

"Oh, is that so... Hmm... Then can I just asks what I can do with these things? The truth is, I'm new to all this and know nothing."

Fred thought of asking 'cause he really doesn't know anything yet. He only scanned a few things on the internet last night and that's it.

Heck, he doesn't even know the basics of this world! How is he even supposed to survive without knowing anything!?

The clerk ponder about it and answered, "Well, first about what you can do to these items, it's your choice. You can either sell it or use it yourself, anything that you take out from the dungeon will be considered as your property except for some special situation."

"As for information, you can join the adventurer guild and become an adventurer. They have a vast network throughout the world. So you can almost know anything if you have permission." she said, then she gave him back the items by placing it on the counter.

Fred remembered about adventurers, why did he not think of it. "Can I ask, how can I become an adventurer? Is there a requirement for it?"

"To be an adventurer, first you have to be 18+. Then you need to show your skills to the guild or if you don't want your skills to be known, you can just request an entrance fight to the guild. That's all the requirements that are required, which in my opinion is pretty lax."

Hearing that, Fred decided to register as n adventurer. So he asked, "Uhm, where can I register as an adventurer?"

"Well, you can go to City Hall to register. Just bring your ID and birth certificate for documents." advised the lady,

Fred felt happy and thanked her, "Yes, thank you very much, miss..." he took a look at the chest part of her uniform where a tag with the name, 'Maria', is written, "...Miss Maria!"

Maria smiled in return, "Just doing my job. Hope you have a great night."

"Yes, you as well, have a great night!"

He turned around and left the booth. After leaving the booth, Fred thought of what to do.

"Hmm... First, I should go and shop for dinner. As for registering... that can be done tomorrow." he said after looking at the dark sky.

He decided to just walk to the market as it is just nearby. Just a few minutes of walking and he arrived at the bustling streets.

Fred is the type of person that doesn't like going around and just searching for what he needs. He is concise about it when shopping, he just buys everything that he needs then leave the market.

So without any thought, he headed to the meat section and bought a chicken to be fried later. Then he went to the vegetables and picked a few before he goes and searches for the other ingredients for his food.

Then he brought it all to the counter and paid for it. As he was paying for it, he heard a ruckus happening on the streets.

A man wearing an all-black and a black bonnet is running at a fast speed while holding a luxurious looking bag.

Behind him, a few meters away, a old chubby woman that is full of makeup on her face while full of jewelry on her body is shouting,

"Help! A thief, he snatches my bag! Please help!" she scream from the top of her lungs and her voice sounded a bit irritating.

A few people tried to stop the man but he always evaded them and continued to run faster.

Seeing that situation, Fred first thought was to bring out his camera and record it. But he stopped himself.

'I should be stopping the crime instead of recording a video of it!'

He grabbed the paper bag with the things that he bought and started running after the thief.

His physical enhancement skills look relatively limited because it's only the low type. But still, it seems that it is enough to catch the thief.

He arrived in front of the running thief, planning to block him off the path to stop him.

But suddenly, the thief pulled out a knife from his pocket and speeded up, dashing towards Fred.

Fred was not that surprised that the thief has a knife, but he still froze when he saw the knife coming to him.

The thief stabbed it on his abdomen.

Luckily, he reacted before he got stabbed.

*Ding*

The sound of metal hitting metal sounded when the thief thrust the knife on the stomach of Fred.

The thief was surprised by that cause he did not see anything in there that is made of metal.

While the thief is still a bit out of it because of surprise, Fred used his elbow to hit the nape of the thief, causing him to go down. Then Fred jumped behind the thief and hold his hands behind him to stop him from fighting back.

Fred holds unto the arms of the thief with one hand while his other hand touches his stomach as he sighs.

He was lucky there because he reacted fast and placed a metal plate from his inventory inside his shirt. Or else, he might already have a hole in his abdomen.

Anyway, it is now safe, so he thought of calling the chubby woman to get her items but he was stopped, by a beautiful but fierce voice.

"Freeze! Don't move!"

Dying once on a volcano eruption while swimming and relaxing, a man with a feeling that as if he lost the meaning of his life will make a comeback on a new reality.

With a camera as his companion, Fred, who is a man with dreams of making it big in vlogging just like those vlogger that he saw on a certain video sharing website that have a triangle sign in the middle...

With him being reincarnated in a modern fantasy world that is full of new and curious things to him, let's watch as Fred show us the new different things from this parallel world.

Vlogging inside a dungeon? Well that's just what Fred likes to do. Now I want to watch his vlogs, maybe he will be running from monsters, or maybe he will be discovering treasures inside the dungeon.

With a camera as his main weapon, watch Fred reach the top of the universe and become an existence worthy of worshipping.
