In the year 2125 humans have found a strange cube inside an asteroid that hit a planet on the outskirts of the solar system billions of years ago. The cube was completely black and decorated by complex characters. The material was unknown but it managed to resist nukes without a scratch. 

Scientists have found that the cube seems to absorb immense quantities of electricity for an unknown purpose. 
One day the cube stopped collecting energy and exploded creating a gate. 
What was behind the gate? Hell. 
Together with the appearance of the gate demons also started invading our world. 
A small amount of people awakened as demon Hunters wielding holy powers. 

Our protagonist shall fight against the demons using the demons' own power.

The Far Lands, a desolate place where not even hermits would want to live, is only one of the many places where the poor can live without having to pay taxes since there was no power presiding over the land. This also meant that there was no particular group or institution tasked with maintaining civil order or protecting the people from wild animals. The only thing maintaining the peace in these zones is a tacit agreement among all of its inhabitants.

It's fairly common to see young orphans begging on the sides of the street since their parents were probably killed by beasts while they were out hunting for something to eat. It's not like no one thought of farming but the terrain in this place was as dry as a desert and rains were considered a rare sight.

It's in one of these villages that lived Vlad, a 16 years old kid whose parents were killed by a group of wolves on the day of his 14th birthday.

However, all of this would change when the long lost magical particles that ignited the flame of mankind, came back and drowned the world.

A hell fell down the sky, survival is a must.

A shut-in decided to accept reality. But the reality... became more than hell.

Monsters came from gate, people has been given blessing, in which they will have a 'specialty'. Such as swordsman, mage and more.

But one does receive a blessing... but a game system!?

As Lin mu yu uttered the name of the spell, ''the gate of death'' the black light that surrounded the black gate which had dimmed previously, grew darker and darker as an eerie cold atmosphere pervaded the entire area as the warrior above began to feel cold sweat starting to drip from their backs.

Below the black light on the black gate began to writhe and turn, with each subsequent change within the black light creating new patterns on the wall of the gate.

Silence loomed over everyone as they watched the change that place on the gate. 

Many years in the future many people would debate why the warriors didn't attack Lin mu yu when it was clear that he was pinned down, and if any of the warriors had lived to hear the debate they would answer with a single word "fear". 

In front of the gate that was forming in front of them, the warriors felt an instinctual fear for their lives. it wasn't the type of fear one would feel when facing an opponent stronger than one's self, it was the fear one would when looking at death itself. It was the most primal type of fear. No living creature can escape death, no cultivator can, and not even immortals can- as such facing death personified before them in the form of the black gate the warriors lost all their bearings as they caved into fear.

Whilst the warriors above stood petrified in fear, the patterns on the black gate became more discernible. With each increase the pattern on the wall the cold and eerie atmosphere increased as the entire area around where the black gate stood froze, causing everyone near to feel as if they were plunged into the cold abyss of hell.

Little gust of wind began to fill the area. Overbearing silence loomed over the warriors. the sound of 
of teethes slamming against each other and rustling of armours was the only sound present in this dead space.

'What the hell are you fools doing, charge at him before I ha-' the silence that loomed over everyone was broken by a loud sonorous roar that reverberated in everyone's ears. Turning back to locate where the voice had originated from the warriors discovered Zhou ba, who was covered in sot from head to toe carrying his broadsword with him. Zhou ba wanted to berate the allied army members for insubordination, however the sight of what they were starring at made him shut his mouth.  

Arriving at the area where the warriors stood Zhou ba ignored the looks that some of the warriors gave him and looked straight at the pitch black gate the beginning to form completely. On the face of the wall was two pitch black horned skeletons that partially protruding from the gate, fixed on the face of the wall by long stakes, with their only armed wedged in the middle of the gate acting as the gatekeeper for the gate.

Seeing the completion of the black gate, Zhou ba became horror-stricken by the thought of what this black gate represented. 

Looking back at the gate Zhou ba thought back to what he was told before about the operation. the operation was extensively planned covering all available angles and more-some. the time that it took to plan the operation stretched for years before it was implemented, amassing enough personal form of the saint stage from all three regal schools and the ten lower schools to the lowest wandering cultivator before attacking Lin mu yu. One can say the scope and planning for this operation were done to such a meticulous level that it would make it virtually impossible for them to fail.

However, no plan is ever perfect, which was acknowledged when considering who they are trying to killing. as such the masterminds of this operation before committing their act of murder amassed enough information on Lin mu yu to come up with stigmatises against the man. 

With all the information there have and the careful planning they have eighty per cent of the time the assurance of Lin mu yu's death was all but guaranteed, however, under two scenarios the complete eradication of the allied army was impossible to avert .

At that moment, the city wall descended into complete silence.
Everyone standing on the city wall was dumbfounded by the scene in front of them. The stared at the warm fresh blood on the ground in shock as they tried processing the events that just happened in their minds.
They were not afraid of people being killed.
However, this was not something that simple.
General Li was dead!
He was killed in a single blow by the Chief of the Northern Lands Five Constabularies!
The city guards exchanged glances as they were at a loss of what to do. Under normal circumstances, they were trained to retaliate the moment their commander was killed.
However, their opponent was Su Qing.
He was the Chief of the Northern Land Five Constabularies. Most importantly, they all heard Su Qing's words. The Northern Barbarians were planning to invade Flame Capital City. Furthermore, they were already right in front of their eyes.
100 thousand strong army!
There were only about a few thousand city guards left spread out amongst the four city gates. How could they ever defend against such a huge force?
"Yes!"
"Light the pinnacle flame!"
"Quick, summon all the troops back to protect Flame Capital City!"
The city guards finally moved after a few moments of hesitation. Naturally, they could not make the decision during such a crucial time. After all, there was always someone who would take responsibility for these actions.
Today, that person would be Su Qing.
What else did they have to worry about?
Even if the Emperor wanted someone to take the blame for the incident, Su Qing would be the first one on the list. He was the one who gave the command while they were merely executing them.
"On command, light the pinnacle flame!"
"Light it!"
Voices rang throughout the east gate as they went into a scurry trying to light up the pinnacle flame. Some of the soldiers were even holding the messaging flag on their hands.
Quickly, the pinnacle flame was lit up.
Thick black smoke wafted towards the sky. It was exceptionally thick and dense, even the strong and chilling gale of the night was unable to dissipate the smoke easily.
At the same time, a blinding light bolted through the horizon. It blended in elegantly with the horizon like a shooting star across the sky.
Su Qing finally smiled in satisfaction upon seeing this sight.
The pinnacle flame was lit and the signal was released!
The troops stationed all around the country would immediately rush back to Flame Capital City. This was undoubtedly the thing that would be given the top priority no matter what mission they were executing.
"Lord Su, the Northern Barbarian army is already nearing the gate. Should we send someone to inform your Majesty about the situation?" A commander walked towards Su Qing as he said respectfully.
"Naturally. However, we should first set up our defenses and be clear about their motives. If we act rashly, we will walk right into their trap!" Su Qing replied.
"Trap?" The commander seemed confused.
"Yes, although I knew about the movements of the Northern Barbarians a long time ago, no one could predict how they are going to attack. If the attack on the city gates was merely a decoy for the attack on the Majesty, wouldn't we be walking right into their trap by sending someone to inform your Majesty?" Su Qing explained.
"Lord Su is right. However, if this is not a decoy, then wouldn't it be bad if we stalled…" The commander hesitated for a moment before saying his opinions with a trembling voice.
"I will check if it is a decoy!" Su Qing said confidently.
"How will Lord Su validate this?"
"As a courtier of the Great Xia Dynasty, I will lead in times of crisis. I will not shirk from this responsibility. Open the city gates. I will personally attend to this matter."
"This… Lord Su, I cannot allow that. The Northern Barbarians are extremely ferocious and merciless. If Lord Su…" The commander rejected this plan the moment he heard it.
Negotiating with the Northern Barbarian troops alone?
That would be courting death!
"Say no more, I have already decided!" Su Qing waved his hands before he turned and walked down the city wall.
The couple of black figures standing behind him followed behind.
The commander stood at his position, clearly dumbfounded. He stared at Su Qing's back as a terrible premonition rose in his heart. However, he could not pinpoint exactly what was wrong about Su Qing's actions.
Isn't Lord Su usually wise and cautious? Why would he use such a method? The commander clenched his fist as he frowned.
He wanted to inquire more into Su Qing's actions.
However, Su Qing had already made his way down the city walls.
Most importantly, General Li was already dead. Su Qing would naturally assume the role of the commander of the city guards. As soldiers, how could they resist his commands?
"Open the gate!"
"Lord Su is going to negotiate with the Northern Barbarians army. Open the gate!"
Creak!
As the commands were passed down, the bulky city gate was pushed open. The chilling night breeze grazed their faces while it carried the sand on the ground out of the city gate.
Countless black figures were still rushing towards the city gate. They held a spear wrapped in black cloth in their hands while being masked in a similarly dark-colored sash.
Their chilling murderous intent could be felt from miles away.
Su Qing squinted his eyes as he stared at the approaching black figures. He then slowly moved forward and walked past the city gate.
The several black figures behind him all these while did not follow him out. Instead, they stood motionless at the city gate, staring at Su Qing as he left.
Each of the city guards was horrified at Su Qing's brave actions.
"Close the gate!"
"Hold up!" A black figure said in a cold tone. The bladed resolve flickering in his eyes sent chills down the city guard's spine.
No one questioned the black figure when those words were spoken. However, the city guards had an incredulous expression on their faces.
"No one is to close the city gate before Lord Su returns!" The black figure said.
"How… how is this possible? If we do not close the gates, the Northern Barbarian army will invade us!" A city guard immediately objected when he heard those words.
However, just as he finished his sentence.
He saw a glimmer of light in front of him.
Slash!
A blade mercilessly pierced through his throat.
This attack naturally came from the black figures. Blood poured out from the city guard's wound as the rest of the city guards stared at the scene in disbelief.
"Why… why…"
Thump!
Before the city guard could complete his sentence, he collapsed onto the ground.
The city guards who were tasked with guarding the city gate also subconsciously took a step backward. Their eyes were filled with fear and apprehension.
Killing the soldier upon any disagreements.
Such strict management was rare nowadays.
"Are you guys afraid?" The black figure said as he cleaned his blood-stained sword on the fallen city guard's armor. At the same time, he cast his merciless glance across all the city guards.
"No!" The city guards replied immediately.
"As a soldier of the Great Xia Dynasty, you guys should have the resolve to die for your country. What do you guys think of this guard here, who wished to leave Lord Su to his own deserts when he is risking his life for the country?" The black figure asked.
"This.."
"He deserves to die!"
"Yes, he deserves it!"
The city guards exchanged glances as they stared at the fresh blood on the ground before answering bitterly.
"If the Northern Barbarians truly invade Flame Capital City, we will also defend it with all our might. You guys can just close the city gate when the time comes. Do you understand?" The black figure said coldly.
"Understood!" The city guards nodded as they replied in unison.
They had on choice but to understand that twisted logic. After all, they could either choose to agree and understand those words or face death like their fallen comrade. The choice was clear.
Furthermore, Su Qing had already stepped out of the city gate. The black figures also promised that they would be the first line of defense against the Northern Barbarian army.
They could only hope for this to be true.
The night was not peaceful. The sand swirled on the ground as the chilling night breeze made its way across Flame Capital City, caressing the face of every city guard.
Su Qing stood outside the city gate in his neat court attire. His fearless figure was the hope of all the city guards standing behind the city gate.
He stood upright without any signs of withdrawal or fear.
The black figures outside were closing in. They crossed over the wide river protecting the city and got to the point where they were almost going to trample over Su Qing.
"Archers, prepare!" The commanders ordered the soldiers to get into formation and stand in alert positions. Apart from the arrows, the oil was already boiled and ready.
All these were preparations for the fierce battle ahead.
Finally…
The black figures trampled over Su Qing's body and charged towards the city gate. They did not bother to stop, acting as though they did not see Su Qing at all.
They were like a gluttonous cloud that devoured everything in sight at an insane speed.
This scene was undoubtedly shocking for the city guards. They would never expect that the black figures would ignore Su Qing.
"Not good! Close the city gates!" A commander reacted to the situation had immediately shouted.
However…
No creaking sounds could be heard coming from the city gate. Even the sound of the drawbridge being retracted could not be heard. It was as though the soldiers were unable to hear the commands.
"Damn it. Are you guys all deaf?" The commander's face sunk. He was just about to go down the city gate to take a look when a black figure blocked his way.
"What is going on?" The black figure asked.
"The Northern Barbarians has broken through Su Qing. We need to close the city gate immediately…"
Before he could finish his sentence, he was interrupted. He felt a cold sensation on his neck. There was also a streak of blood flowing down his chest.
It was a quick but fatal slash.
The commander covered his gaping wound with his hands as blood spewed out. He stared at the black figure in front of him and his blood-stained sword.
However, the black figure did not seem to bother with him. He merely walked slowly towards the commander and placed a finger lightly on his forehead.
Thump!
The commander then fell onto the ground after a light push.
The black figure then once again brandished his sword in the air. It reflected a merciless brilliance under the moonlight. Within mere moments, another commander had fallen under this blood-stained blade.
"My lord, what… what are you doing?" The city guards were unable to react to such a drastic turn of events.
What was going on?
Why would Su Qing's underlings attack the commanders!
Were they traitors?
How could that be!
Lord Su had already given up his life for the country. He was trampled under the feet of the Northern Barbarian army. It would be impossible to even find his complete body for a burial.
However, if they were not traitors…
Why would they kill the commanders?
The city guards could not understand their actions. However, the commanders were not the first few who were killed. From the moment General Li was killed without a valid reason, the pointless killing had been going on within the city gate.
They wanted to ask questions, though they couldn't.
They could clearly see the black figures' actions.
The black figure was extremely quick and merciless. He was so merciless that the city guards were trembling in fear. They stood rooted on the ground as if frozen in time.
More of their comrades fell, killed by the black figure.
Some of the city guards then reacted to this turn of events. No matter what the reason was, the black figure should not be killing city guards one after another.
"Stop it!"
"What are you doing? Are you insane?"
"Quick, take down this crazy guy!"
The remaining city guards recollected themselves and finally started began their retaliation. However, the black figure had ten other insane comrades behind him. They were extremely fast as well.
Slash!
The sound of swords cutting through raw flesh echoed through the city gates. The bodies of city guards kept pilling up as they were massacred indiscriminately by the black figures. They widened their eyes in shock as they noticed a light chilling aura around the black figures.
"These are Rebirth State individuals!"
"Why? Why will there be Rebirth State individuals behind Lord Su? What is going on?"
"There are more than one!"
The city guards could not understand what they just saw. Even if Su Qing was the Chief of the Northern Land Five Constabularies, having one Rebirth State individual as a bodyguard would already be a privilege. To think that he had more than ten of them protecting him at once?
This was something unimaginable.
This was because there were less than 100 people in the Great Xia Dynasty who had attained this rank!
The city guards had started their counter-attack.
However, how could they defend against a massacre conducted by ten Rebirth State individuals?
Every glimmer of a blade would mean the loss of a life. Each reflection of the moonlight they saw would mean another fallen comrade.
Fresh blood danced amidst the chilling breeze.
The blood-stained city gate had once again opened the wounds of the past. It had once again pushed this ancient city who had already undergone the baptism of a ferocious war to the edge of the blade.
Screams echoed through the air.
At the same time, the black figures outside of the city had broken into the city through the city gate and flooded the streets of Flame Capital City.
The black cloth covering their spears were taken off.
Each of those spears shone brightly, emitting a chilling presence under the illumination of the moonlight. Quickly, those cold spears were enveloped by a peculiar warmth. The warmth of fresh blood.
"This is a command! Finish the battle in 15 minutes!"
"Yes!" A unison voice echoed into the horizon. Blood was slowly absorbed into their black attire as they claimed the lives of the citizens of Flame Capital City. The thick armor hiding underneath the black façade was then revealed.

Chapter 46

[Western gate of Chuokuni City, Hijirikuri Country]

Ayane Sugumi, along with 3 Orc leaders; Gorza, Bagamul, Duma. 5 elders of Providence race, 2 elders of Knightsmen race and composed of 200 Providence, 150 Knightsmen race, and 100 Demi-beings had finally arrived to the western gate of the Main Kingdom of Hijirikuri Country, after a 15-minute raid parade from the Northern part of the City.

Fortunately for them, nobody received a casualty coming from aerial and wall attacks made by the Corrupted Guards and armies. But rather receives only mild and severe injuries such as simple scratches to sudden amputation from different parts of their body. But then, all of them are still alive and ready to fight once again, as all sorts of injuries they receive are able to heal completely due to their advance healing spells had made by the prowess of Demi-beings.

" You guys... get ready ... We're finally here! " A sharp, solemn voice made by Ayane Sugumi ordering the people of Knightsmen, Providence, and Demi-beings to ready for their invasion.

A quick rest for a while inside the forest of the western part of the city, with a pride and burning flames of their hearts, ready to sacrifice with all of their mights. Ayane Sugumi's group are now fully prepared and ready for anything as the battle of the western gate is officially started.

As their first plan of invading the Main Kingdom begins, 50 Knightsmen along with 20 Providence people started to showed up from the forest to draw the attention of the enemies, guarding the Western gate by themselves.

Knowing that most of the Knightsmen and Providence people are marksmen and mages respectively, they're all able to attacked the Corrupted Guards and armies from far away to the top of the walls they guarding in.

As soon as the Guards and armies started to approached the Knightsmen marksmen and Providence Mages from the ground, nor the outside of the gate. They are all suddenly started to stumble down and started loosing their breath until they passed out as the arrows made by the Knightsmen people are able to combine the magic poison spell which is prepared by the Providence people.

Rather than that, they once calling it;

* The arrow of death *

Whereas according to them, whenever the person hits the Knightsmen created arrow with a Providence created magic poison spell. The first thing they felt from it is to start loosing their breaths, hallucinations, and heart slowly pumping until it stopped. So lethal that the combos created by the two strongest races are began taboo to the Book of Awakening eyes history.

In a matter of minutes, the Marksmen and Mages started to count the numbers of people the hit until it reaches to 250. A huge number for an enemy squadron to guard a single door of the Main Kingdom of Hijirikuri Country.

For them at first, they though it was an absolute win that making them recklessly charging directly towards the Western gate and not even thinking about the next move to their plan. As what they saw a lot of Corrupted people stumbling down to their ground, defenseless and full of openings.

Suddenly, as the people of rebel army started to rush their parade run towards the inside of the Western gate of the city. A certain being that slowly opening the gate, alone yet seeing no signs of openings to attack, causing them to stopped from their movements and followed their instincts to draw weapons against the lone enemy.

The enemy on the other hand, knowing it was the Black leader. Gracefully welcoming his enemies for their arrival and started introducing to himself afterwards.

" My name is Minase Hijikujo, one of the Black leaders of Hijirikuri Country. I am the one protecting the Western gate of Chuokuni City. And therefore, you unknown enemies shall not pass to my defenses. "

A pride, boastful introductions made by the Black leader to the rebel army that made them felt uneasiness at the moment.

But then, as soon as the black leader finishes his introduction to his enemies. One Knightsmen and Providence rookies, without hesitation and tremblings to their body, started to launch a long range attack to the Black leader as their sign of response to it.

Knowing it was the same Arrows with a magic poison spell cladding to it had landed their shot to the Black leader.

* Bang *

/Arrow deflected mid-air and flying away randomly./

Unfortunately, out of 15 arrows they shot to the Black leader. None of it are able to land his body, causing every single Knightsmen and Providence people to surprised and frustrated as the combination made by them since before are able to deflect and countered.

" You peasants had no match on me! hahahaha! " A simple mockery and insult made by the black leader to the failed attacks made by the Knightsmen and Providence rookies.

Suddenly, A huge boulder started to fall  towards the position of the black leader that forcing him to use strength to deflect it. A hideous expression and sudden embarrassing moment he felt, the Black leader began loosing his composure towards the enemies after the surprised attack made by Bagamul -- one of the 8 orc leaders of the Orc territory.

" Nice one, Bagamul! " Gorza vivaciously commended to Bagamul's attack.

" Not bad, Big guy. " Duma did the same thing.

" Really? ... thanks, hahahaha! " Bagamul left nothing but to embarrass himself to the commends and praise made by his fellow Orc leaders.

The Knightsmen, Providence people, as well as the Adventurers who saw everything became surprised and astonished as the Orc leader suddenly demostrates his strength and brute force against the enemy for the first time since they came in.

All of their minds totally decided the same thing about the existence of the Demi-beings which is for them, they totally forgot about something that made them regret if they messed up against their existence.

" Dammit... we're totally forgot about them that they are still 1 of the 8 Strongest races... " The Knightsmen people nodded to them.

" If we're trying to messed them again, we're screwed! " The Providence did the same.

After a bold response made by Bagamul to the Black leader, They decided to draw the attention and fight against it not because the strength and prowess they possess are confidently enough to fight the Black leader, but also the grudges they hold back against them for the last 5 years of enslaving the cursed mark in their hearts.

Ayane Sugumi and her Guild members, along with the Knightsmen and Providence people had a doubts and second thoughts on dealing the impenetrable black leader by themselves. As what they resolve for them, 20 Knightsmen, 10 Providence, 30 Demi-beings (All of them are Orc people) decided to stay alongside the Orc leaders, fighting against Minase Hijikujo with all their will and hearts.

As soon as she done asking the 3 races to assist the Orc leaders from dealing with the Black leader, Ayane Sugumi -- the raid leader as well, immediately ordering the Knightsmen people to create space and trail path of entering the Main gate and leading the parade all the way through the inside.

* Horses neighing *

The Black leader on the other hand, suddenly surprised and felt irritated as he saw the parades of the rebel army started to move out once again. Rushes in towards him and started approaching the Main gate as much as they can.

" Don't screw with me... Bastards!! "

He then screaming a lot due to the humiliation he felt against the rebel army, causing him to lose his mind and gone crazy.

Unfortunately, as the black leader felt irritated once again to the rebel armies, the black leaders on the other hand doesn't even care about his existence anymore. Instead, they rushing their horses to get through inside the Main gate, and Ayane Sugumi -- The guild master of Sword Slasher Guild having a simple words to the Black leader before she enters the gate that made him felt humiliated even more to the rebel armies.

" Does the Orc leaders and some Rookies are made enough for you to lose?... How pathetic you are.. "

In a matter of seconds of entering the main gate of the Western part of the city. Ayane Sugumi along with his guild members, 130 Knightsmen, 190 Providence, 70 Demi-beings are successfully managed to enter the Western gate of the city and began initiating their invasion plan as soon as they enter the City.

And so, the Black leader, whom supposed to block the trail path created by the Knightsmen people. Had nothing to do to stopped the parade anymore, as he saw it is already too late for him to block the rebel army all by himself. Also, he already felt frustrated and humiliation as the ones fighting against him are the Orc leaders with the help of Knightsmen and Providence rookies. Thinking for him that it was a diversion plan for the rebel army to draw his attention to made him busy, while the place he supposed guard off are already setting into fire.

" Get out of my way... Sh**heads! " 

An exasperate, hideous face made by Minase Hijikujo showed against the Orc leaders and other 2 strongest race people trying to hold the Black leader's movements against them from entering back to the city.

Minami Chibana and Yukisora Sameko, along with 200 Knightsmen, 150 Providence, and 300 Demi-beings. Had finally arrived to the Eastern gate of the Main Kingdom of the Hijirikuri Country, 5 minutes earlier than the Group made by Ayane Sugumi to the Western Gate of the city.

But then, unlike the 2 Groups struggling themselves to enter the Main Kingdom. The Eastern group to be headed by Minami Chibana -- The Guild master of Mystic Guild and Yukisora Sameko -- The Guild master of Bullet Catcher Guild, had successfully entered the Eastern Gate of Chuokuni City in just a matter of minutes. With the help of Leona Hijikata, one of the Black leaders. Also, one the traitor among them.

She even took down all guards and armies all by herself, and managed to open the Main gate without having noticed to the people living in the Eastern part of the city.

She also guided the rebel army to the path of entering the insides of the City and the map of it as well. For that moment, she felt grateful and didn't regret instead for what she had done to sell out her comrades and to atone her sins for what she had done through the past years.

As for exchange and to pay for everything, Leona Hijikata fully pledge herself to help the Rebel army. Knowning that the key member of the army is none other than Levi Furiman, who once battling against each other on a toe-to-toe fight not so long ago, in an exchange of her freedom and releasing the Black dragon cursed mark imprinting to her heart and body.

Unfortunately, some of the Knightsmen, Providence, and Demi-beings still couldn't made them convinced the efforts and participation made by Leona Hijikata, especially to the Demi-being people who ones maltreated by her before. Instead, most of them made wondering their heads, thinking it was a trap or any signs of double-crossing plan that might causing the entire invasion plan failed.

As what the result for them, everyone couldn't take their move on entering the city for a while due to their uneasiness they felt on the Black Leader's doings.

Minami and Yukisora on the other hand, was the one representing the voices and the questions voted by everyone. They're all asking the same way, that asking the two to tell their questions to Leona Hijikata. For them, they couldn't had their voice and rights to complain and asking the two Guild masters to do all the work.

" What if you double-crossed us? ... How can we possibly believe you by just knocking all the people, guarding the whole Eastern gate of the city? " Minami asking to Leona with a solemn expression to her face.

" Just kill me... My life is over anyways if I will return back to the evil side.. " Leona replied to Minami's question with a slight discomfort of her position.

But then, after the Black leader carefully answered the question that everyone made. They're still not enough for them to believed and discontent to all the works she had done for the rebel army's side.

And yet, The Eastern group of the Rebel army still charging inside the main gate with a plan suddenly added, far different from the initial plan they made earlier.

" You must join our parade.... and lend your strength to fight against the enemies... " Minami having her battle proposal to Leona Hijikata that made her surprised and frightened for it.

" Huh? ... wait... wait... wai-- " Leona couldn't answer completly to Minami Chibana's proposal.

 "There are several things needed in order for an Abyss Summoning Ritual to work." Black Alex, whose body was still emitting tremendous amounts of Abyss Energy out of his body, said as he closed his eyes.
"The first thing is the Abyss Ritual Formation. This formation shall channel the Abyss Energy inside my body in order to establish a connection with the Abyss Plane. Without this formation, the ritual will not start at all."
"The second thing is a spatial anchor. This will serve as a marker on the Abyss Ritual Formation. This anchor will then allow the Abyss Plane to pinpoint and locate the exact location of the formation. In our case, our spatial anchor shall be the four Moon Stones that Alina stole for us. These stones were the ones that has the highest chance of attracting the attention of the Abyss Plane."
"The third and final thing needed for a ritual to succeed is the existence of a sacrifice. Abyss Monsters can grant  any of your requests, as long as it is within their scope of power. In exchange, you must sacrifice something for that request. The more difficult the request is, the higher will the demand for the sacrifice be. If you don't have any sacrifice prepared for the ritual, then you will be immediately killed by an enraged Abyss Monster."
After saying these words, Black Alex opened his eyes as he stared solemnly above him. White Alex swallowed his throat as he saw this, as he realized that the real show is about to start now.
"Once these three things are established, the ritual summoner can start summoning an Abyss Monster already. As for what happens after that, just watch it from me." Black Alex said as he spread out his fingers
"Pew pew pew pew!"
 4 black pellets shot out of his fingers, with each pellet striking the moon stones placed on the floor.
These stones, which looked to be extremely unmovable, began to shake as the pellets hit them.
 The ritual formation on the floor appeared to have a reaction on the pellets, as they began absorbing the moon stones that had the pellets embedded on them.
No matter how large or rough the moons stones appeared, they were easily gobbled up by the formation, as if they were just food presented to it.
Once the stones were 'assimilated' in the formation, Black Alex let out a low hum as he spread out his arms.
 There was a fanatic look on his face as he belched out more Abyss Energy out of his mouth, which proceeded to react with the ritual formation.
 "Hong~"
A glowing stream of light erupted from the ritual formation, which then began absorbing the Abyss Energy belched by Alex. This absorption process lasted for around 3 seconds, and once it was finished, a small, crystalline sphere could be seen hovering right in front of Black Alex.
 Black Alex looked at this sphere with a fond look on his face, as if he had suddenly seen the love of his life. He slowly approached the sphere with reverent movements, as if he was afraid of spooking it.
 Once he was within the sphere's touching distance, Black Alex let out a cackle as he slashed his wrist open.
 "Schla!"
Black blood began to spurt out of Black Alex's wounded wrist, which he sprayed directly on the crystalline sphere. For a few seconds, the sphere did not show any reaction to Black Alex's blood.
But when all of the sphere's surface was covered by the blood, it began to release a wailing sound similar to that of the tortured dead.
White Alex winced as he heard this wail, although Black Alex appeared to be rejoicing at this.
"With my blood as the catalyst and the moon stones as the anchor, I, the Abyss Envoy, hereby uses my authority to summon you!"
"Boom!"
 Black Alex then threw the sphere upwards, until it hit the ceiling above them.
"Splat!" 

 With a sound similar to a broken egg, the sphere broke when it smashed against the ceiling.  Black, viscous, fluid sprayed out of this impact, drenching everything around the sphere with its ebony ink.
Before White Alex could make a comment about this mess, he saw that there was something else that shot out of the broken sphere.
A pitch-black gate, which was the size of several humans stacked together, suddenly materialized from the broken sphere.
White Alex, who was located below the Institute, shivered as he felt the existence of this black gate.
Even when this gate appeared to have no signs of life, White Alex could not help but take a step back, as he realized that this gate has no signs of life because this gate was extinguishing life itself.
"Skra…."
The black gate stayed still for a few seconds after its appearance, which plunged the whole room into a tense state.
"…"
Even when Black Alex told him that this ritual is under his control, White Alex still could not be at ease with the black gate. There was just something innately wrong with it… that White Alex could not accept.
 "O, Great Guardian Tenet. I implore you to open the gates of the Abyss for me. Allow me to access the secrets of the Abyss Plane, for it is my right to do so!" Black Alex roared as he flew towards the gate. "Resist, and you will face my wrath!"
The ritual formation on the floor was both flickering and glowing even at this point, with the energy from them being constantly absorbed by the black gate.

 Upon seeing this, White Alex narrowed his head as he realized that although the black gate appeared to be independent, it was the ritual formation that was supplying the energy needed for the black gate to exist.
"This means that once the ritual formation runs out of power, this whole summoning ritual will end." White Alex muttered as he kept a safe distance from the formation. "So as much as possible, nothing must disturb this formation…"

 [ACCESS GRANTED, ABYSS ENVOY. MAKE FULL USE OF THIS RITUAL. THE ABYSS… DOES NOT WANT WASTING ITS RESOURCES ON USELESS THINGS.] To White Alex's surprise, a deep, baritone voice suddenly came out of the gate, with its words focused on Black Alex's declaration.
Black Alex only smiled as he heard this voice, as if he had been not worried about this at all.
"Great Guardian Tenet. Allow me to talk to a Half-Step Transcendent(Seventh Stage) Abyss Monster that can destroy a celestial body." Black Alex said as he crossed his arms. "The stronger this monster is, the better it will be for me. Do you have someone like that?"
 [WE DO, AND I SHALL BRING HIM NOW] The Great Guardian Tenet replied briskly, wits his voice fading into silence. The black gate then went still at this point, as if Tenet's sudden silence was enough to make it docile.
"…"

 After a few seconds of waiting, the black gate began to shake as power erupted out of its seams.
The gate's opening, which was closed shut like any other normal gate, began to slowly open as the gate's shaking continued to increase.
 A decaying and desiccated arm then slowly crawled out of the now opened gate. This arm, which had two eyes on its palms and a mouth on its wrist, continued to wiggle out of the gate, releasing an aura of destruction and death that almost made White Alex vomit.
White could not help but sit on his butt as he felt suppressed and terrified by this arm alone.
This irrational fear of his was amplified when he saw the what came out arm the gate was the arm alone. There was no body attached to this monstrous looking arm, as if the arm was severed from its body in the first place.
What should have been the elbow portion of the arm was replaced by a stump filled with numerous festering wounds. There was nothing that was attached to the arm because of the presence of this stump, creating an unnerving sight of a floating arm.
Countless parasitic worms and plants could be seen thriving on the stump, with each of these parasites exuding an aura compared to that of a Third Stage Being.  These parasites appeared to be at peace right on their habitat, as they did not even react to the sudden change in their surroundings.
"…." White Alex had no words to say about this arm, as even his pure, untouchable soul was almost tainted by this arm's aura alone.
"yOu CalLeD mE? wHo tHe F*cK arE yoU to JusT CaLL Me Out HerE?" An aged, distorted voice from the arm came out, with its words immediately showing the arm's animosity towards Black Alex. Even when the arm's words were almost indecipherable, White Alex could still feel the hostility that was now flowing out of the arm's words.
"EveN iF yOu ArE tHE aBysS EnVOy, YoU hAVe No F*cKinG RigHT tO CaLL Me oUT ! DamN yOu! I'm ABouT To eaT mY FavORitE DiSh! dO yoU KnOw hoW MUch I aM CraVInG for iT?"  The arm bellowed in extreme anger as reared back its fingers.
"Boom!"

 An earthshaking power materialized as the fingers pulled back further, creating rifts of broken space around the arm.
White Alex were left with no choice but to retreat further at this point, as he realized that staying here will place him in more danger. He dragged Wisteria's unconscious body along with him, which surely had saved the woman's fate.
"YoU maY Be tHe aBysS EnvOY, bUt You aRE StIlL WeAk! yOu sHouLD hAVe nO RigHt tO bE CaSuaLLy COmMAndING US! You… yoU aRE jUSt OuR PawN!"   The arm continued to shout as it began approaching Black Alex with a killing intent. 

 There was no doubt that it was thinking of killing Black Alex now, and judging by the spatial rifts closing in on him, Black Alex's death was about to come.
"…"
But instead of panicking in front of these rifts, Black Alex kept his calm as he shook his head.
Ignoring the murderous arm that was approaching him, Black Alex let out a low whistle as he calmly pulled out an object form his pocket.
This object, which he revealed to the arm with a smug smile, was a fragment of a sword. Rust and grime covered this sword fragment, which coupled with its brittle appearance, made the sword fragment look useless.
To anyone who saw what Black Alex was doing, they might shake her head as they think that Black Alex was just desperately doing anything to survive.
But they were all wrong, as at the moment that this sword fragment appeared, the murderous arm froze in its tracks.
The power that the arm was wantonly releasing earlier has retreated back to its body, bringing the whole area back into its peaceful state.
It was as if nothing earth-shaking had happened earlier, and that the arm was just here to casually visit Black Alex.
"So, with this sword fragment as the sacrifice, how long can you possess my body?" Black Alex queried to the now frozen arm. "Will it be enough to destroy… my target?"
"WITH THAT FRAGMENT? HMPH, YOU CAN GET AT LEAST 15 SECONDS FROM ME." The arm replied, with its tone much calmer compared to before.
"…"
 White Alex was slightly rattled by the sudden change on the arm's mannerisms, as he did not expect a simple sword fragment to induce a 180 degree change on the arm's attitude.
"15 seconds? Hm… I think that is enough." Black Alex replied as he nodded his head.
Before White Alex or the arm could make any comment about the strange tone on his last words, Black Alex suddenly laughed as he sent a smirk on the arm's direction.
"So, do you accept this sacrifice of mine? Make your choice already, as my summoning ritual is about to end. If you don't' give me your answer quickly, you will be banished back to the Abyss Plane." Black Alex said as he gave a pitying look at the arm.
"It was only this ritual that is allowing you to stay intact in this world, so please make a decision now. If you don't then you just wasted your time here."
"YOU'RE F*CKING ASKING ME? OF COURSE I WILL ACCEPT YOUR SACRFICE! THERE'S NO WAY I WILL PASS UP ON OBTAINING THIS SWORD FRAGMENT!" The arm replied, this time with a note of happiness in its words. "HAHAHA! THOSE OLD FOGEYS SHALL BE JEALOUS OF ME! HAHAHA!"
White Alex was now creeped out by the arm at this point, as all of its behavioral changes had rendered him completely confused.
"Since you accept it, then I shall declare what I want from you." At the sight of the jolly arm, Black Alex let out a sigh as he threw the sword fragment towards the arm. 

 As the fragment sailed across the air in a graceful arc, Black Alex let out another sigh as he continued speaking. This time, his words were laced with his Abyss Energy, making him sound similar to the arm.
"Cheva, the Abyss Monster of Wrath and Envy, with the sacrifice I gave you, I implore you to…"


After all the things that he had done in his life, Alex realized that it was already his time to die. 

But a sudden encounter with a weird person will turn his whole life around.

The formerly about-to-die teen shall now be a Traveler of different worlds!

Marco disappeared, appearing back in front of his attacker, which was revealed to be Rapunzel.

Marco: 'Doomfire Overlord!'

His Doomblade caught fire, and started to turn completely black together with the fire, then he slashed downwards and slammed the sword on Rapunzel, she shot downwards faster than the sound and a big crack appeared near her, where she crashed.

And when Marco did the full swing with the sword, it cut both the ground and her in two, killing her, meanwhile pure black flames started to spread through the cracks in the ground while he fell in the ground, before he swung the sword in the air and the hellfire got off from the sword, burning the ground.

Salamander: *Whistle* Those flames were really hot...*

Marco: My control on elements exceeded my previous mastery. Now I can make things that should be impossible before…

Alice watched from afar, she didn't see Rapunzel coming, but she was surprised from the heat that the "Doomfire Overlord" caused, it seems that the Four Heavenly Knights succeeded. But then, both of them looked at the center of the square garden, seeing an onyx giant door with golden decorations.

This was the "Gate of Heaven", but she didn't like the feeling coming from it.

The gate continued to deform, until it revealed an horned black beast with a giant mouth, at her back there were countless angel wings and tentacles, while at the top of the beast stood the angel, who had black hair and long pink horns at her side while she had another white pair on her forehead.

Heaven's Gate: ...I am the angel that connects the Heavens and the surface world. A gate that serves as a bridge for the Angels.

Marco: Then I'll enlarge the bridge for me… 

Marco unleashed Impending Doom on her, making her shiver a bit from his glowing red eyes… He jumped at her and used another skill with Sylph this time. 

Marco: 'Flying Five Headed Dracolich!'

The Doomblade was charged with the power of the wind, before he unleashed 5 incredibly strong wind blades at the Heaven's Gate, unable to move, she tanked the hit…

Heaven's Gate: Guh…!

Those wind blades cut really deep, reaching her bones, however even some bones broke before the attack stopped.

The Heaven's Gate used her elastic tongue to slap away Marco, who grinned…

Using Gnome's powers, his blade got as strong as a meteor and slammed onto the tongue, ripping it off with sheer impact.

While Marco was falling, he reared back his Doomblade to try the last skill with Undine.

Marco: 'Silent Death's Strike!'

And when he swung his sword, the cut continued to extend forward, the cherub put her hands in front of her, but somehow, the invisible slash got past her arms, not leaving a single scratch, and cut off her head.

Heaven's Gate: ...Eh?

The head slowly fell in the ground, until it reached the ground, Marco fell down and the normal gate turned back.

Two of the Elders that accompanied him were the first to react before they all scanned their surroundings vigilantly.
The White Dew Gate experts around them tensed up while their powers circulated around, a display that they were ready to make a move at any time.
Suddenly, they heard a demure and charming female voice in their surroundings.
"You are truly worthy to be called the hidden experts of Southern Holy Fist Gate. I thought that I had concealed myself well enough, but never expected that there would be people who would be aware of my whereabouts from twenty meters away."
The female voice spoke in a strangely accented East Continent language, but before she had finished speaking, a bewitching woman in a black veil and a tight fitting short black silk dress had appeared on the black earth in front of the plains suddenly.
The woman's black hair was tied up and she held a long, thin sword in her hand. She was poised gracefully as she stood in front of the carriage alone, blocking its path. She had a pair of eyes that were as bright as stars, while the corners of her eyes were turned upwards slightly, making it look as if she were smiling.
"Demoness Lola!!" One of the two Elders could not help but yell in horror when he recognized her.
"Has Demon Gate come into being?!" The other Elder flipped his hands over before two silver daggers appeared in his palms suddenly. An extremely grave expression remained on his face.
The accompanying White Dew Gate experts had never crossed paths with people from Demon Gate before, but when they saw the stern looks on their Elders' faces, their hearts sank when they immediately realized the true power of their opponent.
"To the hidden expert who calls himself the White Cloud Gate Master, are you really unwilling to come down and meet me?" Demoness Lola smiled daintily as she walked towards the carriage slowly.

When the tip of Lola's foot stepped within ten meters of the carriage, her expression changed suddenly while her gentle smile stiffened instantly.

The large hand traveled a distance of more than ten minutes within a few moments before grabbing the Demoness by the throat gently while her pale, pretty face looked on in fear.
There was a sudden flash in their surroundings.
Lola's vision became blurry before she realized moments later that she was already sitting inside the carriage despite being unable to move her body at all. She was lying down on the knees of the man inside the carriage obediently while her black hair fanned around her like a waterfall.
"Black Orchid, are you alright…?" Garen reached his hand out to stroke Lola's long hair gently.
Lola, whose delicate form was still trembling moments earlier, now shook awake suddenly. She raised her head with much difficulty before laying her eyes upon a man who was as handsome as the Sun God.
Marshall Black Orchid had once planned to poison someone, and that night was etched deeply into Garen's memories.
Although Lola's appearance did not resemble Black Orchid, their quick-witted temperaments were eerily similar, meaning that if Black Orchid had not trained her personally, it would be impossible for both of them to have such similar qualities.
"Proceed with the journey."
The White Dew Gate experts looked at each other before realizing that the woman had been captured in that moment earlier, and was now unable to resist at all.
"Perhaps that person was not from Behemoth Gate… But merely an imposter…" said someone quietly.
Both of the Elders swallowed their own saliva and glanced at each other before noticing the apparent astonishment in the other person's eyes.
Although they had already anticipated that Garen would be powerful, they had never expected that he would actually be this strong. Other people would be unaware of this, but as Grandmasters of Combat who could detect Lola's presence, once they felt the heavy blood qi that surrounded her whole body and realized that she truly belonged to the Grandmaster of Combat level, they knew that she was definitely stronger than themselves.
But now she seemed like a baby chick in Garen's hands that could not rebel against him at all. Such powerful strength… Wouldn't it mean that he was undefeatable?!!
Moments later, the carriage began to move slowly again.
The control he had on Lola who was in the carriage was finally lifted.

She knew that she was unable to fight back, but her opponent currently had no ill intentions towards her either. Therefore, she decided to clear up the situation before saying anything else.
Garen smiled slightly but did not reply. Instead, he turned his face away and looked out of the carriage window.
Boom!! Boom boom boom boom!!
Suddenly, series of explosions could be heard from a further distance away while the ground shook slightly.
"The soldiers from the Hu Army are practicing, huh…" Lola's eyes darted around. "I wonder what Gate Master's plans are for coming into being this time? Chief Hu Qingzhi of the Hu Army has a good relationship with my Behemoth Gate, perhaps he can help Your Excellency."
"The Hu Army, hmm?" Garen looked in that direction. "My goal is very simple, I just want to find someone from Immortal Palace."
"And after you find them?"
"Well, what plans did Behemoth Gate have for you to pay me a special visit like this?" Garen smiled without answering her directly and asked her another question instead.
When Lola heard the words ‘Behemoth Gate', her heart trembled slightly suddenly.
"The Marshall chief soldier perished and caused our Behemoth Gate to decline. Lola had no other choice but to come out and search for one that could support our Gate. Once I heard that Gate Master had left the mountain, I rushed over immediately."

Garen's hand slapped against her buttocks lightly again. A strong numb sensation could be felt this time, instantly causing the blood qi in Lola's entire body to shake furiously before scattering it completely.
Lola raised her head while a look of disbelief appeared in her eyes.
Within Immortal Palace and Behemoth Gate, other than Divine Master and the Demon Soldier Marshall, the strongest individuals were Young Divine Master and herself. The remaining Grandmasters of Combat were all ranked below them. Both of them were true experts with high aura condensation levels.

"I know where the Young Divine Master of Immortal Place is located!" whispered Lola suddenly.
A smile flashed in Garen's eyes suddenly.

Jessian held a short black blade in his hands and scrutinized it carefully.
"The technique is slightly stronger than the previous one but it has not achieved my desired standard yet." He flung the short blade away but it landed on the right side of the black platform slowly, as if it was supported by an invisible force.
One of his subordinates in black clothes came forward to store the short blade properly, before turning to leave.
Moon Star Gate Master kept watch beside him respectfully. Aside from the guards in the courtyard, the only other person there was an old man in black tight-fitting clothing who was waiting with his head lowered.
"We will definitely do everything in our power to find your desired blacksmith, so please wait a little longer," implored Moon Star Gate Master with his head bowed respectfully, much unlike the arrogant way he acted when he was in the provincial capital.
"I understand your difficulties and I know that this speed is considerably fast. Therefore, I don't mind waiting a few more days," nodded Young Divine Master Jessian faintly. "That's right, why did the remaining members of Southern Sky Gate leave? Do you discover the reason?"
"Yes, I found out that one of the remaining members of Southern Sky Gate planted himself as a spy within the city. He was probably hiding in a secluded place when they noticed one of our dispatched members…"
"I won't ask about the whole process. Can you assure me that the next ambush will not be leaked?"
"Yes! I will submit to your commands and put out the military orders at once!!" announced Moon Star Gate Master while clapping a hand against his chest.
"Then that will be all." Jessian turned to leave.
"That's right, Young Divine Master, recently at White Dew Mountain…" Moon Star Gate Master began to speak but stopped himself.
"Just say whatever you need to say. My subordinates have always spoken as they wished," said Jessian as he turned around and stood in place.
"The person who is pretending to be the White Cloud Gate Master over at White Dew Mountain is currently on his way over here, and might be charging towards you…"
"Charging towards me?" Slight changes finally appeared on Jessian's face. "Hehe, interesting. I won't go looking for him since he's already brave enough to come find me."
"He's suppressing White Dew Gate, and I'm afraid that he's not good news," Moon Star Gate Master reminded him frantically.
"It's better if he's an expert. Inform Nine Iron Gate and the other numerous, delighted factions and allow them to return with their teams."
"You mean that you want them to gather here on their own before capturing all of them with one go?" Moon Star Gate Master was a knowledgeable person and could ultimately guess Young Divine Master's intentions.
"It will be too troublesome to search everywhere. Wouldn't it be better to let them see a glimmer of hope on their own, gather them in one place, before reaping the wheat in one go once it has all ripened?" Jessian smiled gently. "Also, get your son to hurry up and settle the problems with that girl. If he dares to hinder my grand plans again…"
Moon Star Gate Master's face turned pale suddenly.
At the same time, Moon Star Gate Young Master who was waiting by the doorway turned pale as well, before he quickly sank to his knees on the ground with a ‘thump'.
