The industry professionals reached a stunning conclusion from all their analysis.
If they wanted to make the most satisfying hack and slash experience, the way Diablo did it was absolutely the best way.
Third person, singleplayer, abilities that don't lock on, and a dark gloomy artstyle. The experience would be significantly worse with any of these points missing.
That means that Chen Mo didn't make a third person game because of his lack of abilities, but he thought of it from the start. He wanted to make a game that focused on hacking and slashing to fill the gap in the market.
The viewers finally understood how Diablo managed to achieve this number of sales after their analysis. It was a groundbreaking, unique game with extremely high quality graphics and story. It'd be weird if it didn't sell well.
As they let out their collective sigh, there was only one question left to answer.
What was the lifespan of a hack and slash game like this? Would the players get sick of it pretty early on?

Other than the respective posts about the story and gameplay, most of the other posts were about equipment and builds. Most of the players have reached the last stage of the 'donut principle' to become hardcore players.
These players were encouraging new players to join them too.
"I recently saw Diablo's promotional cinematic. I really like games like these as I can't handle 3D games. I'd like to ask if the game is just about killing mobs? Isn't that boring?"
"Yes it's only killing mobs, but it's not boring at all. As for why it's not boring... I don't know either, but you'll know after you try it."
"Yes, it's just grinding, and it's enough to last you a month."

"Sheila, why are you not leaving yet? The school already over."
The girl who was absentmindedly staring at the air suddenly twitched, and when she looked around, she noticed that it was just her and her best friend left. The others have already left.
"O-Oh. Sorry, I'll be going then."
Sheila cleans up her desk by putting everything into her bag and then walk away. But before she could get out of the class, she was stopped by Ria at the doorstep.
"Are you okay? You didn't seem to be focusing on today's studies at all."
Ria asked worriedly. She had always occasionally stared at others while the teacher was talking, and this time, she saw Sheila acting weird. Although Sheila was not the type to focus on a study like a particular Class Leader, She's also didn't just stares into the air while at the same time giggling like an idiot either. Perhaps, she was sick? Maybe she should get a check-up.
"I-I'm fine! Really! I'll be going then. See you later, Ria!"
Cilia watched her best friend leaving silhouette as one thought appears in her mind.
"She's hiding something from me, huh."

Sheila looked back, and when she didn't see anyone, she let out a relieved sigh before a strange expression appears on her face as she thought of her best friend, Cilia(Ria). Her best friend is smarter than her, which meant that her best friend knew she was hiding something. It was partly her fault for acting weird in class. She knew that her best friend sometimes could be seen looking at others while listening to the teacher. Anyway, for now, she could only hide it from her best friend and family.
Sheila put her hand into her pocket before pulling out a smartphone from it. She input her lock screen password, and the phone was unlocked. She stares at the one particular icon on the home screen for a while before trying to uninstall it, but it was a wasted effort. No matter how she tried to uninstall it, she couldn't do it. It's like the app has become one of the system apps, which in turn make it impossible to uninstall it. Perhaps formatting it might work? But she doesn't want to do that. It was not because of the precious games that she didn't want to do it, Absolutely.
When she has given up on uninstalling the app, she clicked on it, and the cause of her acting weird in class appears.

When she saw this window popping out in her phone in class, she was speechless. When she was checking out the app, she also looked into the <Quest> that was also unlocked. She thought what kind of absurd quest would appear in such a realistic world, is it killing wild animals? Or perhaps, beating the thugs like the old RPG? But both are not something that the current her could do, and her strength is even weaker than average girl after all. Hence, she didn't expect to see such a quest popping out.
The quest is not that particular hard or anything she could do it quickly. Occasionally, she did miss out her homework and get punished by the teacher. But that was because she was just like any teenage out there. She wants to have fun, which makes her forget about the homework. By the time she noticed it, it was already too late. She blamed her precious games. How could it be so much fun!
Joking aside, She looks toward the reward and wholly ignored the punishment. It's inventory, you know! In most RPG games, the inventory is limitless and the time is frozen in it. It was a godly item. She was imagining how her back wouldn't be hurt anymore by carrying the bag to school or how she could put the console games inside it and bring it out to secretly play inside the class. Oh! Such a heavenly dream!
Of course, she didn't miss out the ten experience that she would receive, which will result in levelling her up to Level 1 from 0. It means that she would officially enter the game. But before that, she had to do the homework.

Inside Sheila's bedroom, there was a figure of a girl that seems listless as she rests her head on top of the table. In front of her head, there was a book that appears to be filled with answers and the pencil beside her right hand.
"I'm finally done with this hellish.. work."

Looking at the window screen on her phone, Sheila seems to be lost in thought for a moment before exiting the status window and clicked on <Inventory>, and a new window pops up.

What she saw was inventory storage like that of an RPG, and the only thing inside is something that looks like a gift pack with the word (Newbie Gift Pack) on it. A gift pack for a newbie huh? How nostalgic. I remembered the good old times when I was happy getting it once before. But when I opened it, what I got was a massive disappointment. She wonders what will she get from this gift pack, is it an ultimate skill? Or Super Freaking Overpowered Items? Perhaps, An automata that have a great butt?[1]
Just thinking about it already makes her heart beat faster and faster, but she soon calmed herself. A wise once said, Being excited wouldn't get you an SSR. Before clicking on the gift pack, she walked toward her bathroom and washed her hands clean with the soap. But the ritual hasn't ended yet, and there is still one more to do. She graciously sits on her chair as she put her phone on the table before taking a praying pose as she wishes silently in her mind. Oh Dear God RNG, Please give me your blessing. After making the praying pose for a few minutes with her eyes closed, She soon opened her eyes wide that is filled with determination. Without further due, she clicked on the gift pack.

Sheila is an average girl who likes to play video games and watch animes in her free time. If there’s anything that stood out from her, that would be her beautiful appearance. Due to spending too much time playing video games till late at night, she would usually forget to do her homework which she would, later on, asked her best friend, Ria, for help. A total average gamer-otaku girl.

Like any other day, Sheila was walking her way to school when suddenly the phone in her pocket vibrates. She pulled it out of her pocket to check with the expectation of seeing a new message, but the result was something that would change her entire life completely upside down.

Leveling System, it was a mysterious app which suddenly appeared inside her phone. By using it, she could level up like the character in the game and become stronger. But what would an average girl do by becoming stronger? Not expecting to fight anything absurd in her daily life, Sheila slowly adapts to her new life of leveling up inside an instant dungeon.

But out of nowhere, A goblin appeared in front of her somewhere in the alleyways. Where did it come from? Not knowing anything, Sheila ended up killing it. That night, She woke up to a nightmare where the world turned chaotic as monsters run rampage everywhere, it was a world where a weak human life was nothing but garbage, a world where strong prey the weak. She believes it was a premonition of what her future would be if she does nothing.


Will she stand up and take responsibly to fight for others?

Or would she be selfish and only fight for her loved ones?

The fate of the entire world is on her hand. Her decision will decide the outcome of everything.

Named "Jack" by the Vult parents in the year 1998, Jack Vult has grown up playing video games. When he first went to school, he easily got first in class the class, but he was glued to those darned video games, playing them non-stop. In middle school, his rank was lower than before, but still ranking in the top 20.

Now, Jack is in high school. His rank has dropped to the low thirties. He has played video games all his life, and his parents refuse to buy him anymore, being thoroughly disappointed in his grades throughout middle school and which were still dropping. Nothing but the best for their baby, they said cheekily, so they wanted to make sure he stopped playing video games in high school.

"Hey, Jack, you wanna come over tonight?", asked Jack's best friend since middle school, Randy.

"Nah, I gotta go home. My parents want me studying for the finals.", replied Jack.

Disappointed, Randy left. It was almost the end of their first year of high school, and Jack had been studying all year. The only time he had gone over to Randy's house was on Saturday's, the only time Jack had any free time.

Thus, Jack went home, bored and ready to be done with studying. Ever since his parents had gotten rid of his video games and hadn't boughten him new ones, he had been getting better and better grades, rising from the lower thirties to the lower teens.

This made his parents remember when he was younger and when he was the talk of the family friends. Wanting to relieve the "glory days", they forced him to study, the amount increasing every day. In the end of the second trimester, they made Jack take pop quizes at home just to make sure that he was studying. In short, they were obsessive and were doing this for their pride.

As Jack dreaded going home and the endless nights of studying, he spotted something shiny out of the corner of his eye. Naturally being attracted to it, he walked over to it. It was a handheld console! In the middle of the sidewalk?! 

But wait... What handheld is this? And what company is this? Jack had never heard of this despite still hearing about everything that was going on in the video game world from his friends at school.

But, being rather bored with his situation, Jack picked it up. The screen was scratched, but it was still good enough to reflect his dark brown hair and green eyes. He pressed the power button, and it turned on. The battery was somehow at 100%.

Still working and even having a game inside, Jack stuffed it in his backpack and ran home, just to make up for lost time. He got to his house, but it would look fishy if he were panting when he entered his home. He never ran home, just walked.

After five minutes of rest, Jack walked into his home. His parents were there to greet him.

"So how did your Math test go, sweetie?", asked his mom, inching closer with every word.

"And what about your vocabulary quiz for Spanish? We musn't be slacking in the languages!", said his father, also getting closer to Jack.

He was being smothered. Jack took off his shoes and said, "I-I'm not hungry, I'm going straight upstairs to study!"

He ran up the stairs, escaping the menace to his well-being known as his parents. However, Jack had told a little lie to them. He wasn't going upstairs to study, but to play video games.

He did the math whilst running home. He had no quizes or tests coming up tomorrow, and the pop-quiz forecast chart showed that there was a 0% chance of a pop-quiz in any subject tomorrow.

So, Jack locked his door and hopped into bed. He rolled over to the edge of the bed and reached into his backpack which was resting against that same bed. Pulling out the handheld, he turned it back on. It started up. There was no loading screen telling what the company or name of the handheld was, but it booted up the game that was inside, "Real Life RPG".

This intrigued Jack. He had wanted to play a realistic RPG for quite a while now. He selected his name, "Deus", and propped his head against the pillow so he could relax his neck.

Wow. Was that a horrible game! The entire game was just filling out questions, and when he did get to the game, it was just a clarification of his playstyle, which was the damage dealer. Mortified that he just wasted ten hours and it was now four a.m., he put the handheld in the trash and went to sleep.

"Hello, Deus. Welcome to the Real Life RPG! This is the real game! We just wanted to ask you your playstyle and personal specs to make the game run smoother. Now that you're ready, make the world your oyster! Anything can be done! With enough skill points, that is. Go forth and Play the Game!"

A female voice sounded through the dream, saying, "The presentation is now over. Commencing tutorial... Tutorial files corrupted, cannot commence. Returning to sleep state...", and Jack heard and saw nothing else until he woke up.

When he did wake up, he screamed. The whole house heared him. His parents ran down the hall and his three sisters ran up the stairs. The star of the house was in danger. The first to enter the room was his father, carrying a shotgun. His father was walking around the room, checking to see if there was an intruder, and his sisters and mother pestered him, asking if he was ok and if anything bad happened.

The weird part was, they all had name tags and health bars.

Jack Vult, our main character, has found a handhold console sitting in the middle of the sidewalk. It is pretty banged up, but still works.

However, Jack, being a video-game junkie, does not recognize the model or company on the handheld. 

Regardless, Jack is itching to play a new game. He takes it home and plays it, finishing it that night. When he wakes up, his life has turned into an RPG!

Vaun was playing a game in his house while streaming, he was known to be the best player because of his ability to defeat all hard played games, Vaun suddenly found the games too boring, after finishing all suggested hard played games, he decided to go out, then he heard an explosion. 

"Boomm"

He got caught by the explosion and died.

Vaun suddenly open his eyes and said:"What is happening? Why is my vision so blurry."
After he clean his eyes, he said in shock:"What? Where is this? Where am i?"
He look down below his leg and saw a shadow, then he look up, his pace went pale and his whole body trembling with fear, because he saw a huge lizard like thing with wings and scales with eyes that can kill with one look. He murmured in fear:"Is that a dragon? Just where am i? How did i get in this place."He remember that he died caused by explosion and accepted his fate, however he can't stop questioning himself about how did he get here? Then he suddenly heard a sound.

"Priing"

"Welcome to All-Around System Vaun"

Vaun suddenly stood up in shock because he knows what this system is, he created a cheat in defeating players online in an rpg games where all classes are available and can learn different types of skill that will not limit the player. Vaun's character was known in rpg because he has different types of skills and because his one and only character can learn different types of class, thus he name the system cheat "The All-Around System" because of its godlike giving abilities to one character.

Vaun still stood in shock when he suddenly remember and said:"Why does it appear? Don't tell me." Then he suddenly said:" Status bar, open."

"Whoosh"

He was shock, because he saw his own status.

He read the status in shock and suddenly remembered something:"Martial Skills? Is this world not an rpg world like i thought." He said:"Martial Skills, if i remember, isn't Martial Skills used in wuxia novels? Why does it appear in the system? Don't tell me, that i arrived in a world where martial arts rules."

He was happy to the core, because of all games that he played martial arts was his most favorite games, he likes his character to be badass like an AMV, where characters are badass with background song so on.

"Now that i know my status, i think i need to find some way to level up."
"But where should i begin?"
"Wait, i think i remember something about the system and it's functions."

He then said in his mind:"Map."
A map in his eyes appeared, and then he saw his location, and it seems like he is in a forest.
A hint of joy appeared on his face because it works. The map system still works.

"So this forest here is called, lime forest."
"Now that the map is with me, i can go out of these forest with ease."

When Vaun was about to start getting out of the forest he saw something shining, he take a closer and saw a fruit, but he doesn't know if it is poisonous or not.
He was about to give up when he notice something in his eyes by taking a closer look to the fruit.
Joy and happiness spread all over his face because he can know the origin of the fruit and about it's effects.

"Diamond Fruit: A rare type of fruit that can reinforce body in making a solid diamond body.

"A fruit that can reinforce body!","Should i eat it already or..."After some self-contemplating he heard his stomach growl and decides to eat the fruit, he said:"Well, no harm in eating it anyways."After he finish crunching down the fruit he heard a notification again, after looking he was shock.

A gamer who always download hacks, has created a cheat that could master anything regardless the affinity of the character in rpg.

Vaun who always likes to hack games, was transported to a world where his weakness are the rulers, but with a cheat that he makes, anything in this world will not bound him.

"You want to fight me with swords? Come on then. I'll show you the moves of a sword master."
"You want to fight me with long range weapons? Come on then, but be careful, because each shot is a piece of me."
"You want me to fight you bare handed? No way! I will only use gloves so already accept it."
"You want me to chant? I'll just sing then."

Many people where shock at him.
Seeing their shock faces, Vaun only smiled and said: "I'm All-Around after all."

With a system, Vaun was unraveled at any categories.

Let's start the adventure of Vaun reaching the apex.

There was a point in time that I wonder if I should always expect the unexpected. Life will somehow always throw you a curveball that you need to respond accordingly, at the best of your ability in a way that you actually live and succeed through that specific problem that life had thrown at you.
It was the process of gaining experience that you would never forget, something that will always be ingrained in your mind and body to always face that curveball whenever it happens.
But sometimes, life can just be bullshit and throw you a ton of bricks instead – a painful experience that you don't even know how to even start to recover from.
In which case, why the hell I am somewhere that isn't in my room?!
When I expect life to throw something at me, I did not expect it to literally rip me off from where I was and transfer me into a world that I don't even know. Expect the unexpected my ass, this is literally the definition of "when life gives you lemons, chuck those lemons somewhere else as they might be expired!"
...calm down, Samuel. You aren't dead yet, which means there might be a way out of this joint.
Fortunately, there seems to not be a case where I can actually die from anything at the moment. Being shoved into a forest landscape, where the plants and leaves are awfully colored yellow-green more than any real life plants that I had ever seen, there has been no hostiles. No bears or tigers that would have snuffed me out, killed me from where I stand or people that would shoot me with a gun or something...
...hopefully the latter does not come into fruition as I try to find a way out of here.
The fact I have a vibe that I get from video games – the way on how the world looks and has a feel of it – makes me feel quite... uneasy. It feels unnatural yet natural at the same time as if the mixture of reality had been merged and gotten 'gamified' in a sense. I can't put a finger on it at the moment, but maybe when I see something that can justify what I feel towards the environment –
- wait, did I suddenly hear a squishing sound approaching me?
Looking behind me, I saw something that I know that I never had seen before in reality. It was a round-shaped, green blob made of goo. It was approaching me with a movement of short hops, yet I can literally just walk away from it and it probably won't ever catch up to me. Heh. Seems like these fellas will always be basic enemies...
In typical RPG fashion, Green Slimes are notorious for being a beginner mob for players to kill at the start of the game. It usually has weak stats, can be killed in a few hits, and give some experience that is needed for the characters to level up. The fact that I am seeing one right now confirms one thing...
I am definitely in a world that involves Fantasy and RPG in one shape or the other – which is something that I never had played in en masse.
Trust me when I say there aren't many RPG games that had hit the scene and became popular as a competitive e-sport. I am more of a gamer that plays the run-and-gun type of games like what most of the masses play and watch every day, in which the main objective is to simply just shoot and kill whoever was in your cross-hair.
RPG games... I had played some of them but I am definitely not knowledgeable enough to know them in-depth. It doesn't mean that I'll be dumb on some aspects, but rather, I can't naturally know or feel how the game works and might take some time to get used to, unlike those people that do specialize in those types of games.
Well, a Green Slime is still a Green Slime – no matter what kind of game this is. I just need some sort of weapon to smack it around. Should be easy enough when I do as it slowly approached me, one hop at a time.
It shouldn't be that hard, right?
Settling in to find a small, jagged rock on the ground, I decided to do a test of some sorts. I wasn't the best thrower in real life as I am not buffed or with muscle, but I bet I can still do some sort of damage by throwing a rock at the slime. It should still deal at least some damage, even if it was just something.
With that in mind as the Slime kept hopping closer like a mindless zombie, I threw the rock at it with the hardest amount of force I could muster with my arms –
- and it recoiled back a bit from the hit, which made a rectangle pop up above it, making me do a double-take at what it was before it disappeared.
Tch, from the looks of it, I am really stuck in some sort of RPG land without me knowing how I even got in.
Those rectangle life bars are a static indicator of life in an RPG – a gauge on where you can see the life bar of your opponent so you can strategize your moves accordingly or brainlessly mash a button as you were grinding your levels. Although it had disappeared in mere moments, it was just a simple rock toss to see the hit points or HP again and plan accordingly against this bouncing blob.
Grabbing another rock from the ground, moving away from the hopping Green Slime, I threw another rock at it. It recoiled back a bit from the force, the bar of HP came up to see that it had fourteen hit points left from the sixteen it had earlier. Huh, guess I have to throw a rock at it sixteen times to kill it?
Wait, why did it suddenly stop moving –
Agh! It propelled upwards even higher! It was hopping towards me in small jumps, now it did a super huge one that it was reaching the sky?! What the fuck?!
Jumping out of the way of the clearly telegraphed spot that he would hop on, I grabbed another rock and threw it once more at the Green Slime. Yet somehow, someway, it dodged the rock by hopping to the side before resuming its hopping cycle once more towards me.
...okay, that was weird. I almost pissed my pants off from that sudden super jump that it did and the fact that it can dodge projectiles. It was still manageable sure, but it meant that I have to do something to kill it faster as it may have other tricks that it has under its body.
Don't want to deal with it suddenly duplicating, thank you very much.
Taking a look around my surroundings, it was kind of weird that there was this one lone Green Slime that is attacking me at the moment. Shouldn't there be more hostile monsters that should be around the area? Heh, best not to think of it as I am already having trouble trying to kill a bouncing ball of goo.
There should be a more efficient way to deal some damage to it. Maybe I can make something like a weapon that can make me do more... There are some sticks laying on the ground around here, maybe something like a string or a rope to make some sort of jagged weaponry –
- Whoop, there it goes again with the super jump! Dodge away, Samuel, dodge away!
Sigh. This is making me exert more exercises than my P.E. subject. Glad I wasn't that physically inept or this Green Slime would have got me by now if I was tired. Although, it gave me an idea of a weapon that I could try and do.
Grabbing some sticks and pebbles in the ground, pocketing some of the pebbles into my pocket. I looked around more to see what I can do with the current resources I have while the Green Slime is being predictable and hoping towards me like this. If I can have a more effective weapon now, that means I can dispatch any of the Slimes that I might encounter on a later date.
After all, I am going to be stuck here for a while. Might as well make killing Slimes a lot more efficient in that case.
Grabbing some Plant Fiber from the grass on the ground, a sudden white-rectangular box appeared right in front of my eyes –
You can now craft a weapon: Slingshot!
- ...guess this pretty much solidifies the fact that I am indeed in a game. But how the heck do I even craft it? It isn't as simple as saying Craft Slingshot, is it-
Oh shit, my left hand that was holding the sticks and fiber started to glow a bright blue color, making me close my eyes for a bit from the sudden flash of light. After reopening my eyes, I immediately jumped away from the spot as the Green Slime tried to take advantage by doing another super jump towards me.
That's like trying to get a headshot on a dude that was away from the keyboard! Lame show of sportsmanship, you damn slimy bastard!
Sigh. Regain your breath for a bit, Samuel. Check what you have in your left hand that somehow made something when I was literally thinking to craft a slingshot. Lo and behold, it was indeed a Slingshot that was made – the fiber making up for the mechanism as the sling while the sticks that I have suddenly merged and became a sturdier stick that was the base of the whole entire thing.
Crafting Recipes in games work like that – you just don't question how some even work like it. Although I would really want to check the stats of the weapon in hand, it seems that there isn't an option to do so at the moment...
...let me get some more distance away from the Green Slime first. He is about to taste more than my throwing power this time around with this bad boy in my hand. Hopefully, it is a lot more powerful than my physical strength as it would be a waste to even have this.
But eh, at least I am aware that I can make stuff by just thinking about it. The white-rectangular box is literally another indication that I am stuck in a game again, by the way. That doesn't happen in real life unless you are high or playing a game in VR – which are both things that I am sure that I am not in the moment.
Now, time to face even more damage, Green Slime!
Grabbing one pebble that I collected from earlier, I reel back the sling as I placed the pebble on it, pulling the plant fiber backward. Using the many experiences that I have with shooting games, I take a careful aim at the Green Slime that was hopping slowly towards me, probably unaware that I finally have a weapon in hand.
Eat this rock, you living ball of goo –
- and as the rock catapulted towards the Slime, it dodged the projectile once again before super jumping towards me. Tch! Guess it is learning as time goes on, huh? Gotta move away!
Now, I need to shoot at it as it going to descend on the spot that I was! Nabbing another pebble from my pockets, quickly loading it in the slingshot, I predictably shot the rock at the point that it was about to hit the ground, hitting it dead center as it suddenly exploded in goo.
...welp, it dealt twelve damage. I think it was a critical hit or something as I saw the text flash a golden color on the numbers. Was it lucky that I managed to do that or does the game reward actual good skill and strategy to maximize damage?
Eh, whatever it was, at least that problem has been dealt with for now.

Woah, woah. These white-rectangular boxes are getting quite out of hand with their notifications... at least there are some features that I apparently couldn't do because the Green Slime was preventing me from doing so?!
Damn, that Green Slime was probably a tutorial mob or something in this game. Probably teaches the players how to adapt on the spot and actually think about their actions rather than relying on the menu and other essentials that should be in the game. Where is the QUIT option while we are at it?
Sigh. But hey, at least I can see what my stats are. Guess if I say STATUS –

Although having just one STRENGTH is kind of insulting...
...hey, what's EARTH-BOUND? Why do I have that affliction with me? Am I part of that Nintendo game now? Huh. Guess I'll keep that in mind for later if there is something about that.

“Being taken to another world with seemingly familiar game mechanics, was it destined for me to take the stage and be the hero? Or is there another reason why I am here in the first place?”

Out of nowhere, Samuel Williams had been sent into a world that he never knew nor how even he went there in the first place. Coincidentally, it was a world where the whole world is like a game – mechanics, levels, crafting… everything was a game! He was good at video games – really good that he is making a living off it.

Surviving off the world of Archemia, it was going to be a task of adaptation, skill, and lots and lots of exploitation of apparent mechanics that were placed on there. He will find a way to get back home somehow, especially when other humans are also getting sucked into this world with no apparent reason as well…

Guess it is just another game that he had seen, visit, and conquer – the only question is: will he?

Teo is your typical university student. He is currently on his 3rd year of his computer science degree, and while having the best grades of the class he was well known among every one of the university due to his laziness when it comes to studying but at the same time producing great projects in the various internships and competitions that he participated.
'Finally this semester is over. Tomorrow is RPG day and I hope that everyone can show up so we finally raid the Tarrasque den' Teo thought by himself while on his way home after the last day of class.
He was taking the subway on his way home and had only one thing on his mind, his next RPG session with his friends. He doesn't know when his love for games (more specifically RPG) flourished, but he remembers that his father used to have a lot of those books and even some figurines on his office.
During his way back home, he got a call from his mom asking if he wanted to go back home for the vacation.
"Teo my dear, what do you think about coming home for a week?" she asked
"Mom, I won't deny that I miss you and your food… But I also want to stay with my friends you know… I'm a big boy right now and I want to do my stuff … "  he replied in a somewhat embarrassing tone
"Oh, did you found yourself a job already? Or is it a girlfriend? " His mom realizing that he was embarrassed decided to tease him
"MOM! ITS NONE OF THAT! I WILL GO HOME FOR THE LAST WEEK OF VACATION IS THAT ENOUGH?" Teo shouted on the phone showing that his mom teasing worked flawlessly.
"Ok ,ok…don't shout with me. I will make the arrangements for your flight in 3 weeks is that okay?"
"Yes mom, that's fine. If that's all, see you in 3 weeks! Bye bye!" *ding* He disconnected from the call without letting his mom say another word kept on his way home.
After a few minutes he finally arrived at his stop and got out of the station.
Teo still needed to walk 3 blocks to get to his home and as usual he would do so while looking at the stores along the way. There was one store that he liked more than others , and of course it was the "GamersLand". This store as the name say was focused on selling all kinds of games. From simple tabletops and card games to the most advanced VR consoles, everything related to games could be found there. 
While passing by the "GamersLand", Teo found a huge group of people looking at a big announcement.

'What a terrible naming sense from the devs' Teo thought while he kept walking home.
When he arrived his building, the doorman said that there was a package for him. Teo signed the papers and brought the package home.
As soon as he got inside his apartment Teo turned on the tv as usual and checked the package that he received. He didn't order anything in the last days so he wasn't expecting something to be delivered. The package was light and the sender was unknown so he didn't know what to expect. 
After cooking a simple meal and taking a shower he decided to finally open the package, and when he did he got really surprised. 
It was a media of that game he saw earlier on the "GamersLand" along with a letter and a VR-headset.
"What the …? Who sent this to me? " Teo asked while holding the game and headset with his hands.
"Better check the letter then.."                                
As he opened the letter Teo got really surprised by the contents.
[Dear Teo,
 
I know that I left without notice and you must be questioning why. The answers that you want can be found in the game that I sent along with this letter. I spent the last 3 years working alongside my colleagues on this and we finally made it. Teo Albino, returns home after the last day of the semester at Uni, and found a big package inside his appartment. Opening the package he found a Vrmmo headset and a letter. What surprised him the most was that the one who sent all of this is his father. The same father that left him and his mom right when he turned 18. The contents of the letter are the following:

Dear Teo,

I know that I left without notice and you must be questioning why. The answers that you want can be found in the game that i sent along with this letter. I spent the last 3 years working alongside my colleagues on this  and we finally made it. I remember that you used to be a lot like me on my early days so i figured that you might enjoy this game as well. Enjoy the journey and hope we can meet again.

Vaun was playing a game in his house while streaming, he was known to be the best player because of his ability to defeat all hard played games, Vaun suddenly found the games too boring, after finishing all suggested hard played games, he decided to go out, then he heard an explosion. 

"Boom!"

He got caught by the explosion and died.

Vaun suddenly open his eyes and said: "What is happening? Why is my vision so blurry."
After he cleans his eyes, he said in shock: "What? Where is this? Where am I?"
He looks down below his leg and saw a shadow, then he looks up, his face went pale and his whole body trembling with fear because he saw a huge lizard-like thing with wings and scales with eyes that can kill with one look. He murmured in fear: "Is that a dragon? Just where am I? How did I get in this place."He remembers that he died caused by an explosion and accepted his fate, however, he can't stop questioning himself about how did he get here? Then he suddenly heard a sound.

"Pring!"

Vaun suddenly stood up in shock because he knows what this system is, he created a cheat in defeating players online in an RPG game where all classes are available and can learn different types of skills that will not limit the player. Vaun's character was known in RPG because he has different types of skills and because his one and only character can learn different types of class, thus he named the system cheat "The All-Around System" because of its godlike giving abilities to one character.

Vaun still stood in shock when he suddenly remembers and said: "Why does it appear? Don't tell me." Then he suddenly said:" Status bar, open."

"Whoosh"

He was shocked because he saw his own status.

He read the status in shock and suddenly remembered something: "Martial Skills? Is this world not an RPG world like I thought." He said: "Martial Skills if I remember, isn't Martial Skills used in wuxia novels? Why does it appear in the system? Don't tell me, that I arrived in a world where martial arts rules."

He was happy to the core, because of all games that he played martial arts was his most favorite games, he likes his character to be badass like an AMV, where characters are badass with background song and so on.

"But where should I begin?"

"A fruit that can reinforce body!","Should I eat it already or..."After some self-contemplating he heard his stomach growl, he decides to eat the fruit: "Well, no harm in eating it anyways."After he finishes crunching down the fruit he heard a notification again, after looking at the notification he was shocked.

It could be understood now that in this world, people had a high view of video games. This world situation is not like Joshua's previous world, that the people would look down on video games. Video games in the eyes of this world inhabitants, not just pure entertainment, but also an art. Video games are just like knives, it is up to the wielder. A knife could kill people by stabbing them to death, but a knife could also help people by cutting ingredients for cooking.

He can't get too excited yet, because there are so many hurdles in front of him that he need to cross! But firstly, he needs to cook dinner to relieve his starvation. Joshua gets up and walks to the kitchen. He made a simple egg dish with bread and sausages. After he eats until his belly full, he started to think and plan his next step.

The first thing that he needs to do is to spend the mall point in the system mall. He knows that, as a pure gamer with zero experience in game design, he needs to buy the game design book. Although in his previous life, he criticized many games and said that he can do a better job than the game studio, he knew that he just bullshitting. A game is different in the eyes of the game designer than the gamer. Moreover, a thousand game designers could produce a thousand different ways to look at a game.

He was satisfied with his logo design. Very Cool!

Joshua finished the game studio registration and the application is successfully submitted. He needs to wait another week for the verification process. After the application is approved, he needs to pick up the paperwork on the same day. Joshua made an appointment alarm in his phone and then searches the web for a game engine. To create a 32-bit game for a Handheld game that was made 10 years ago, he needs a suitable game engine. Because he only has basic game design ability, he can't create his game engine. But fortunately, there are tons of game engines listed on the web. And the price is very low because it is made for a system that was made 10 years ago. The average price is just around 20.000 Alliance Credit.

He soon found a game engine that had a good review and praise from many authoritative game websites. It is called the 'MicroEngine' game engine. It's priced at just only 19.900 Alliance Credit, still within the budget! It also comes with the bonus of a built-in sound editor, sprite editor, and easy wifi integration! Perfect! Joshua didn't need to think hard about it and quickly bought it, download it, played it a little bit, and satisfied by the performance of this game engine. It exceeds his expectation by a margin!

He can't wait to get started and made his very first game in this world. He fantasized about making a triple-A game, earn loads of money, creates his fantasy world, and get a girlfriend... Cough... Maybe about the last part, he could think about it another time. Anyway, he needs to prioritize creating a game right now.

Joshua needs a game that can propel his Game Studio reputation. He needs some exposure for his first game. By taking first place in the competition, he can get the exposure he needs! The next step is, he needs to wait for the Crimson Go handheld game system and some of the game to arrive. Even the original NES Final Fantasy 1 in his previous life is better than this game and with the same cliche story. And the most depressing fact that Final Fantasy was made in the '90s... But, 'Fantasy World', a game that was made in 2010? Even though the graphics are better than Final Fantasy, but the quality of the game is much worse. Same with 'Gun Man', a worse sidescrolling game than Contra with clunky control, and 'Protoss'... just castrated version of Raiden! Damn... And they said that 'Fantasy World' is the number 1 best-selling game at that time, an absolute classic? They don't know sh*t about a classic game! 'Fantasy World' was made by Liontail Game Studio 9 years ago. Now, they are focused on the MR game and still proud of 'Fantasy World'.

He had some idea of the game he want to make in his mind. By looking at the Crimson Go games sales figure, he knows that for Crimson Go players, an RPG game is the mainstream game. Many classic RPG games flashed in his mind, but for sake of his farsighted plan, he needs to make that most famous two variant game! Yes, two games! He chose to make that game because, he just need to make one game and edit it here and there, and instantly became two games! It's time for this world to taste the addictiveness of catching pokemon and be the very best like no one ever was!
