"It's because he broke the current world record in Chicago last year, it's a path he knows well and has run twice and is much better for him, here in Berlin is the first time he's going to run this marathon and I think hard for him to try to break the world record."
While the commentators talked about him and this marathon, Jake was already running the first few kilometers, he found groups of athletes to run along and ran with them while the other athletes ran at the same pace as him.
Jake was already well known in the marathon world and everyone knew that his pace was very strong at the beginning of the race, so only amateur athletes and those who didn't think of winning ran with him in the beginning.
The other athletes who hoped to perform well watched Jake not to run faster than him in the first few km of the race, after all, if Jake who had a fast pace was behind them it was because these athletes were running far above the pace they intended.
Jake didn't care about that and already expects him to have to run alone in this marathon again, after all, he wasn't running in America and it was hard to find athletes who wanted to run at such a strong pace since the start of the race.

Jake went on like this at a strong pace and passed the 30km marathon without slowing down, just after passing the 35km Jake began to slow his running pace slowly, Jake already had a time of 1 hour 41 minutes 40 seconds If he continued at the pace he was running he could finish the race while training which was far below his world record.
Commentators were seeing how Jake came from a fast time, but as they tracked several marathons he ran they knew that at this point in a marathon he slowed his running pace and ended the marathon well below his world record.
"Up to 35km from this marathon Jake has kept up the great pace since he started this marathon, but now as well as in the other marathons he's slowing down and we'll see how soon he will finish this Berlin marathon."
"See how the runner-up Elijah Lagat and the other athletes are also running at a great pace and yet they are not even close to Jake and are over 1km behind him in this marathon."
"This is his racing style, I personally think that if he pushed harder he could finish a marathon at a time well below his world record, but he's the one who knows best the energy he has and how he gets tired in those marathons."
"I've heard some expert theories on athlete mentality that Jake can always slow his marathon pace even though he's doing well in the marathon for what happened in the second marathon he ran in New York."
"He was at first running at a great pace below the world record that was not his at that time and well after the 30 km I don't remember exactly how far he suffered an injury and so this was the only marathon he ever lost in his career coming up in second."
Jake had heard about these theories and found it just funny, he had no trauma and if he wanted to could run at the pace he always ran in training, but he knew it would be at a time far below his world record and Jake thought not It was time for that.
He planned whenever he could improve his race time in training to improve his official marathon time by breaking his own world record, he just thought of improving his record now because he feared that someone would break his current record.
And also because on his next vacation Jake intended to improve his training time after getting all the statistics points in the major marathons, he wanted to run as fast as he could without getting exhausted.
Jake's goal for marathons was to break the 2-hour barrier and to be the best marathoner in the world for many years, Jake thought he was very capable of achieving this with the system helping him.
But one thing about this theory was true because it was after the New York marathon that Jake decided to run the entire marathon at a very fast pace and only in the final km of the race slow down so as not to tire and risk any injuries.
Jake slowed his pace for this marathon, but not much and continued fast because he wanted to break his world record in this marathon, he wanted to be the first American athlete to win in Berlin and mark this marathon breaking the world record and getting the best of this marathon for a few years.
Running in this marathon he personally realized that it was indeed true that this marathon made it easier for athletes to run faster, Jake was starting the time for marathon athletes who would only run faster until the running time was less than 2 hours and 4 minutes would be normal.
After passing the 40km with a strong running pace and a few kilometers to go before the Berlin Marathon was over, commentators finally realized that Jake intended to break his own world record in this marathon, and by the time he ran, it was quite possible that he would succeed.
Almost reaching the 42km race it was almost certain that Jake would break his world record and the commentators and the cheering crowd were celebrating because they also realized what was going on.

  Two days have passed since the day Ramirez has last speak with that older man and also delivered the detective woman who has not even noticed the fact that the driver he is the man she is looking for because he has the same features, but looks older. On the house of Ramirez, he is staring his moring by taking care of his plants which will be sent in the next three days to the Docks where his best friend has made a contact with Yakuzas, the ones who are "guiding" the city into an era with less criminal activity.
  Ramirez has observed something at a few of his plants, they have started to not look in a quite great shape, and his first thought was probably the temperature because in the last days, the cold of the end of autumn has started to fall to Ruby City and this is a bad thing to Ramirez. So, Ramirez has to take all of those plants from his garden, putting them into a bag or plastic boxes and store them into his attic which contains a few small boxes with Ramirez clothes that cannot be used anymore because Ramirez has gained weight and a height.
  This thing has taken almost one hour, there were three bags which can hold ten kilograms of cannabis, and a medium box which contains almost three kilograms of cannabis. If we do the math that means Ramirez has gained thirty-three kilograms of cannabis in his attic. After he finished stirring the cannabis into his attic, he is closing the attic and he is going to his room and try to surf on the internet but his best friend, Gabriel ahs sent him a message. The message says: "Yo, Ramirez! Can you come and pick me up from the Bar. I am quite drunk right now, mate.". Ramirez sighed because he cannot believe his friend is always so obsessed with drinking in the morning, but he replied to the message. "I will come. Remain at that Bar. Which is the name exactly?" and in just a few more minutes, right when Ramirez was about to take his jacket on, his best friend has responded to the message: "I am at Ringo Bar, located between Cinema and also Strpitesse Club which got one of the best American woman I have ever seen, mate. You should come there one day, mate.". At this information, Ramirez rolls his eyes because his England friend is still trying to tempt him to look for a woman, but Ramirez always tells him the same thing, which not even his best friend doesn't understand, "I don't need a close person to It makes me feel good."
  Ramirez leaves the house, he enters the jeep he owns it, he turned on the car by using the key and he drives his jeep from the land he owns it to Ruby City where is that Bar located. While Ramirez was driving, he turned on the radio to listen to some great music while he drives, and the radio post was listening to it has offered some great road music, "Highway of Hell" by the most famous band rock, AC/DC.

  After a few minutes of driving the main road which connects the countryside and also the city of the artificial island called Ruby, Ramirez got another message from Gary and he says it: "Hey, Ramirez! I am in quite big trouble... with a woman.". Ramirez rolls his eyes after he read that message and it is probably about the fact that he just takes another prostitute and he hasn't paid her and she called her bodyguard. This case has happened quite a lot for Gary and also for Ramirez to come there, beat the guy and also help Gary. 
  In just a few minutes arrives at that Bar, and there he saw Gary, who is running down the street because a muscular guy with a tattoo on his bald head is running to him. Ramirez leaves quickly the jeep, he locks up and he runs after Gary because he has to catch it somehow. Ramirez is running down the street, while some civilians who are on the street are screaming at him to not run or they are looking suspicious at that guy. However, one of those civilians has seen that the guy is running after those two are running so he decides to call the police by using his smartphone. 
  Ramirez is running so fast that in just three minutes he catches the muscular guy, right when he was about to jump on Gary, he pushed him into the street, where he got hit by a car, who has stopped when he saw that muscular guy was in front of him. When the muscular guy with the tattoo on his bald head was hit by the car, he did not suffer quite much damage, just a few scratches on his back. The muscular guy lays on the street and after a few seconds, he is trying to get up on his feet, but Gary and Ramirez are quickly running from that action scene.
  Ramirez could've fought the guy but there are two problems, one he was surrounded by civilians who have filmed everything and it was probably the best way just to leave, and number two, even if he was started to fight him, maybe one civilian who had the guts could've stopped the fight. Ramirez and Gary are quickly running to their jeep while Gary yells to him.
  "Thanks, Ramirez!"
  "Just keep running and stop talking!" yells Ramirez at him while both of them are running to their jeep.
  When they arrive there, Ramirez quickly unlocks the car and he goes to the driver seat, while Ramirez is going the passenger seat in the back. Ramirez presses the acceleration and leaves that Bar in a speed, to avoid the police who will come there to investigate the case, even though it is not a crime scene but much more likely an accident or something like that.

  While Ramirez is driving his jeep to the street who is connecting the countryside and also the city of artificial Ruby Island, Ramirez, who is driving the car, is asking his best friend. 
  "What the fuck have you done this time?"
  "I-I was just with a woman." says Gary who is feeling like a little kid who is being punished. "I-I didn't know she was a hooker, mate."
  "How come you always confuse normal woman to a hooker? Every time you do this. When the fuck are going to learn your lesson?!" 
  "One day. But the most important thing is, how is cannabis?"
  "It is in a good shape." says Ramirez after he takes a left turn. "The negotiation has been changed?"
  "No, my friend. In three days we will have to do the deal."
  "At the Docks?"
  "At the Docks, my friend. And do not worry, they will not bite. They are not acting like in movies, burying bodies in acid or throwing their bodies into the ocean."
  "I hope you are right... Also, what did you have a deal with that woman?"
  "What do you mean? I just wanted to take her to a drink."

And on this series, you will see the story of two characters who will face these criminals and fight against them.

First Arc:
A guy called Alex comes in Ruby City, a place where everything is almost possible, even for a guy like Alex who gave up on studying and came here to work for his cousin, who owns a restaurant called ”Luigi's Pizzeria ”. What he doesn't know about this place, will shock him. He thought this place will be nice and no big rate of violence and criminal activity, but he was so damn wrong on this one.

Second Arc:
A cannabis farmer comes into the countryside of Ruby City to sell his goods for a few years. But one day, when autumn has come, Ramirez had to sell all his goods for some reason and the only reliable person who can help is Gary Smith, also known as his best friend.

The third leg of the race was the most important part of the relay race in the 4x100m competition. Compared to the other legs, the third runner had to run the longest curve, and had to complete the final handoff, which required the best technique.
In addition, the third runner tended to feel nervous because the upcoming curve was the final one. They wanted to hand off the baton as soon as possible. However, the more nervous they were, the more mistakes they tended to make.

Many people thought it was cheating to dive across the finish line, but in actuality it wasn't against the rules. According to the regulations, the scale depended on the sequence of the athlete's body (not including the head, neck, arm, leg, hand or foot) crossing the finish line. The first one to reach the finish line won. As long as you didn't distract other athletes, it was okay to lie down once you crossed the finish line.
That being said, this movement wasn't encouraged, as athletes tended to get injured when they were running quickly. Most of the time they were not only in the danger of hurting their skin, but also faced the possibility of breaking a bone, which could end their sprinting career. Therefore, athletes would seldom bet their professional sports career to dive for the finish line.
Dong Qian was willing to do anything to win the victory. He dived across the line without giving it a second thought. He wanted to win so badly that he would do whatever it took to win.
The next second, Dong Qian feel to the ground hard, and slid forward due to his momentum.
Dong Qian now only had one question.
Did I win?
He raised his head, looking around for some type of confirmation. He was confused until he saw Dai Li raise his arms in celebration.
"I won!" Dong Qian giggled like a child.

Snow got up from where she was sitting and stretched herself for a few second and she said " since your an enhancer the first part of your train will be running I know that this simple and stupid but at the speed we will be running at and the terrain in this forest it will require concentration and fast reflexes.
 This exercise is to help you get a better understanding of how your primal essence is to be best used, everyone is different so there is no one way fits all way to use primal essence so the best way to train is to first discover how best you can use primal essence. 
So what I want you to do is to picture your primal essence running in every part of your body and pay special attention to your five senses make sure that your primal essence enhancing them to the highest level possible " after she said that she took off running at a speed that left Cloud speechless.
Cloud followed Snow advice and reached deep within him to that powerful lightning within him that he feared before but now it felt different maybe it was because he now knows what it is. 
Cloud let the primal essence run along his body and he paid special attention to his five senses and it was as if he had just discovered a new world that he never knew existed before he could see things more clearly than before he can now see every detail in the forest perfectly from the smallest insect on the ground to the different colors of a single feather of a bird that was flying past him. 
The noise in the forest also came alive everything has a heartbeat and cloud now could hear them all from the bird flying past him to the snake that was hunting a mouse not to fair from him. 
Cloud took in one deep breath of the forest air all it almost overwhelming how much he could smell now.
Cloud was lost in the moment until he heard a soft voice in the distance saying are you coming or what, the voice brought Cloud back to his senses and he focus on his entire body now and let the primal essence flow and enhance every muscle and he took off running following in the direction Snow went.
 Cloud soon discovered why Snow wanted him to focus on his five senses while running because it did not take him long before he ran head fist into a tree, the impact of the collision was so great that the tree was almost uprooted the tree. 
Cloud composed himself and took off running again but this time he pay attention to everything around him and he started slow and after a minute of running he was now confident enough to push his speed to the limit.
Running at full speed in an Amazon rain forest type of forest was not a walk in the park, Cloud had to pay attention to everything around him from the small root protruding out of the ground to the slippery ground that would make him slip. 
Cloud was amazed that even though Snow was nowhere near him he could still follow her trail from her smell, the footprints she left behind after running for half an hour Cloud saw Snow for the first time since they started running, she was standing at the edge of a cliff so he stop running and took a spot next to where she was standing.
Seeing Cloud stand next to her breathing heavy Snow shock her head and said to Cloud " you an enhancer and should be able to run faster than me and with more endurance than this but we will work on that just not right. Now I'm hungry and I need you to bring me something to eat" after she sat down and closed her eyes.
Cloud was no stranger to hunting but from his past experience since he enter the black tide forest have made him a little unsure if he could manage it, Cloud took a moment trying to compose himself it surprised him how much hear was within him so much fear that even the idea of hunting left him feeling cold sweat. While Cloud was busy thinking a soft voice said "you will never be strong if you keep letting what happened in the past stop you from doing something dangerous, you should view your past failure as a learning experience and don't ever let fear stop you from doing something because you never truly know that you can do something until you do it". 
Her words were like a spark that started a blazing fire that burns everything in its path. With the fire burning inside him Cloud took on step and jumped of the cliff.

The man looked at the pages of my story and looked back at me.

The whole day went by with just me sitting, not doing anything. I kept thinking about what happened earlier. Do I even belong here?
