The Shadow has a long and storied history. Over the course of the character's radio and publishing history, The Shadow became an American icon in his own right, and was even the inspiration for Batman, V for Vendetta, as well as being cited as a strong influence on the evolution of comic book heroes in general. 

The Shadow has many ties to DC, even though the character was published by many different companies at different points in history.  Superman co-creator Jerry Siegel, and Lester Dent (who wrote the Doc Savage stories) both wrote stories for The Shadow, among others.

DC Comics first published a Shadow series in the mid 1970's. An aging Shadow also appeared in Batman comics in which it is revealed that (in-universe) The Shadow was Batman's "biggest inspiration", as well as the surprising facts that The Shadow saved a young Bruce Wayne as a boy, and that The Shadow knows who Batman is, but the secret is safe with him. Batman also referenced The Shadow when he was once disguised as a night janitor at a police station, a method which The Shadow often used to obtain access to police records in his day. 

Another couple of DC published Shadow series was released in the 80's, and there was one more in the 90's. The Shadow also made a few cameo's in other comics in the 90's. 

This fanfic blends the radio version with the novel and comic book version. Certain RPG systems have been used to provide stats for the character to make tracking of changes easier. This interlude does not cover the many other Shadow comics, novels, pulps, and even movies that have been published over the years.

The Living Shadow, more commonly known as simply The Shadow, is whispered about but seldom seen, feared and mysterious, but frighteningly effective once involved. The Shadow has worked with famous figures such as Doc Savage and Batman, and is even cited by Batman as a source of inspiration and a model figure. 

Decades have passed and nothing as been seen or heard of The Shadow. Criminals have forgotten the chilling whisper in the dark, "The weed of crime bears bitter fruit!" Nor do they recall the frightening laughter in the dead of night. 

But soon the streets will again be haunted, the criminals stalked, evil pruned.

You could see a young man waiting at the traffic lights,
his name is Bruce Wayne a normal worker.


When his parents died in a car accident he was four years old, so he can't remember their faces. He also has no other family members who can adopt him, so he lived in an orphanage, He was very lonely and has no friends until he was 18 because no family wanted to adopt him due to his reticent personality.


Because of his personality, his only pleasure was comic, His favorite comic character is Batman a.k.a. The Dark Knight, because Batman is the smartest comic character in the DC universe, who has a plan for everything, and he almost always managed to defeat people with surgical superpowers.


Later, when our protagonist wants to cross the street, he is hit by Truck-kun, when he wants to go to a comic book store, he is run over by Truck-kun and his last thought was "PLEASE Detect MY INTERNET HISTORY" says Bruce.

 The average American loved superheroes. One could see DC and Marvel superheroes side by side, staring at each other with hostility.
 There was Iron Man, Spiderman, The Hulk, Batman... Qin Guan was the only guy not wearing a costume or any makeup.
 As a result, he attracted more attention than the others. I should have at least dressed up as a Doraemon. I look really odd now!

Sau vài lần dừng gấp chuyển nhanh, [Không Có Sợ Đâu] vẫn bị ép vào một cái ngõ cụt.
Không Sợ thấy vậy, liền nhanh trí xoay người lại, không có dấu hiệu gì báo trước đột nhiên giơ tay ra, cô ta vẫn dùng hai món vũ khí cán dài, nhưng tạo hình của món trang bị đó đã gọn gàng hơn rất nhiều với món trang bị cô ta cầm khi ở "Đảo Thợ Săn".
Là người chơi không chuyên được phòng máy Giang Hồ tập trung huấn luyện, về mặt trang bị của Không Sợ đương nhiên không hề kém.
"Chày Sấm Sét" quét ngang qua, dẫn theo ánh sáng điện lóe lên.
Bóng người đuổi theo bên kia đã có sự chuẩn bị từ trước, nhanh chóng vung tay ra ngăn cản. Nhưng không ngờ, đúng lúc bị ánh điện kia đánh trúng, anh ta bỗng cảm thấy sức lực toàn thân nhanh chóng mất đi, cơ thể tê dại.
"Ồ? Còn có trò này nữa cơ à?" [Thất Sát] cười lạnh, lập tức quát: "Nhưng tiếc là vô dụng!"
Tiếng quát này giống như tiếng sấm vang lên giữa trời quang. Quanh người Thất Sát bỗng có một luồng đấu khí cuồn cuộn, giống như làn sóng hướng về phía Không Sợ.
Không Sợ biết rõ tình thế bất lợi, thực lực của đối phương mạnh hơn cô ta quá nhiều, dùng cứng đấu cứng thì thất bại là chuyện đương nhiên.
Trong lúc tình thế cấp bách, cô ta bỗng có một kế sách, dồn hết sức lực của cơ thể nhảy lên trên một cái, dựa vào luồng khí ầm ầm lao tới đó, huy động thần binh trong tay, đập vỡ lớp xi măng dày đó ra, trực tiếp lao thẳng lên mặt đất.
Bên trên là con đường lớn, còn có rất nhiều xe cộ…
Bỗng nhiên, một mảng mặt đường lớn bị kéo lên như tấm thảm, có một mỹ nữ tay cầm món vũ khí rất lớn chui ra từ dưới lòng đất. Người qua đường và các tài xế đều đã sợ hãi ngây người cả ra, giao thông tê liệt chỉ trong vài giây.
Sau đó, cảnh tượng còn phô trương hơn thế đã xảy ra, chỉ nhìn thấy cô gái thân hình nhỏ bé yểu điệu đó vừa đứng vững đã cầm món vũ khí trong tay xiên vào một chiếc xe taxi trong tay ở gần cô ta nhất, hoàn toàn không thèm để ý xem bên trong có người hay không.
Chiếc xe đó giống như miếng thịt bò bít tết, còn chiếc Chày Sấm Sét trong tay Không Sợ giống như chiếc dĩa. Cô ta dùng vũ khí nhấc chiếc xe taxi đó lên, miệng tức giận gào lên một tiếng, ném chiếc xe về lỗ hổng trên mặt đường.
Thất Sát xuất chiêu vừa nãy xong, đứng yên tại chỗ vài giây, không ngờ khi anh ta đạp nhảy lên thì thứ nghênh đón anh ta lại là một cục sắt lớn màu vàng đang trên đà rơi xuống.
Khi anh ta nhảy lên trên chỉ là để nhảy lên mặt đất, chân không dùng hết sức. Nếu anh ta biết sẽ có chướng ngại vật như vậy thì tuyệt đối sẽ dốc hết sức để vung quyền xông ra ngoài, nếu không anh ta sẽ bị chiếc xe đó đánh quay lại dưới đất, hoặc bị đánh gãy thành hai khúc.
Nhưng trên đời này không có nếu…
Thất Sát đã nhảy lên giữa không trung, không có điểm tựa lực nào, đành phải giơ hai tay lên bảo vệ đầu, cứ thế chịu đựng cú va đập này. Trọng lực của chiếc xe ô tô cộng thêm lực của Không Sợ, khiến Thất Sát bị đè lại, quay trở lại đường cống thoát nước.
Còn chưa hết, ở trên phố Không Sợ ném xe ô tô xong lập tức thu lại Chày Sấm Sét, lấy hai khẩu súng tiểu liên Uzi từ trong ba lô ra. Hai tay cầm súng xả một trận xuống phía dưới. Trước khi hết đạn, cô ta đã thành công bắn trúng thùng xăng của chiếc xe taxi kia, dẫn tới một vụ nổ.
Những đòn tấn công dồn dập liên tiếp đột nhiên kéo đến, ác liệt từ trên cao dội xuống, ngắn ngủi nhưng cứng rắn. Ba nhân tố này khiến người chiếm ưu thế về thực lực là Thất Sát bị thua thiệt nhiều. Tuy khi nghe thấy tiếng súng anh ta đã dốc hết sức để trèo từ gầm xe ra để chạy trốn ra xa. Nhưng vẫn bị ảnh hưởng bởi vụ nổ kia.
Giá trị HP của Thất Sát giảm mạnh chỉ còn 19%, anh ta vội vàng nuốt một bình Thuốc bổ sung HP (lớn) vào bụng. Cũng mặc kệ những vết bỏng trên người và hiệu quả chảy máu kèm theo, anh ta đạp chân một cái, bật nhảy rồi lại tiếp tục đuổi theo.
Lần này Thất Sát nhảy rất cao, nhưng sau khi đi xuyên qua miệng hố trên mặt đường, nhảy lên giữa không trung, anh ta đã không nhìn thấy bóng dáng Không Sợ đâu nữa.
"Chậc… Trốn thoát rồi sao…" Thất Sát không hài lòng mắng chửi, "Đúng là không thể sơ suất dù chỉ một chút…" Anh ta từ từ rơi xuống, hai chân chạm đất. Khi tiếp đất quỳ một gối xuống đất, anh ta lại bị thương một chút, "Xui xẻo, nhảy cao quá rồi…"
Lúc này, tiếng còi cảnh sát vang lên, xe tuần tra xung quanh đã đến, hai cảnh sát tuần tra chạy đến, giơ súng lên nhắm vào anh ta nói: "Ê! Anh kia! Đứng im, hai tay đặt ở vị trí tôi nhìn thấy được."
Thất Sát liếc nhìn họ một cái, miệng lẩm bẩm: "Hừ… Cô em kia đập đồ bừa bãi, nhưng sao lại bắt mình đổ vỏ thế này…" Anh ta không để ý đến sự uy hiếp của hai viên cảnh sát, quan sát xung quanh, rồi tìm một hướng trông có vẻ thuận mắt, hạ thấp chân xuống một chút, rồi trong chốc lát đã biến thành một luồng ảo ảnh lao vọt đi.
Hai viên cảnh sát kia nhìn đến ngu người. Tầm nhìn của họ có thể miễn cưỡng đuổi theo được Thất Sát, nhưng đến khi họ điều chỉnh được nòng súng qua đó thì người đã chạy xa rồi. Hơn nữa, họ cũng không có đủ tự tin để bắn trúng được mục tiêu đang di chuyển với tốc độ cao như vậy, nếu bắn bừa có khi còn trúng vào cư dân thành phố.
"Tổng bộ, ở chỗ chúng tôi có tình huống nghiêm trọng! Nghi ngờ là vũ lực của siêu tội phạm tấn công." Đến khi họ phản ứng lại được, họ mới vội vàng trở về chiếc xe tuần tra, dùng máy bộ đàm báo cáo tình hình ở đây.

Phương thức suy nghĩ của những người được gọi là cao thủ hay kẻ mạnh luôn có rất nhiều điểm chung, cho nên, khi họ vào phó bản chưa đầy một giờ đã tìm thấy đối phương rồi.
"Thật không ngờ lại gặp anh trước." Người đàn ông đang nói khoảng chừng hai sáu hai bảy tuổi, tóc đen ngắn, dáng người cao ráo mạnh mẽ, khuôn mặt không tầm thường. [Ngộ Tử Tham Huyền] mặc một bộ quần áo đen tuyền, khoác áo choàng của Trật Tự, mỗi tay cầm một bình sơn phun, ý nghĩa không rõ ràng.
"Tôi là người cậu không muốn gặp nhất đúng không." [Shiva] đáp, anh ta có vẻ lớn hơn đối phương vài tuổi, mái tóc dài che nửa khuôn mặt, đồng phục của "Chư Thần" khó che đi được thân hình cao lớn cường tráng. Trên tay anh ta lại không có gì cả, dáng vẻ như thể có thể đánh nhau tay không.

"Hừ… Vậy thì…" Shiva nói, phía sau anh ta hiện lên tám chiếc khay bằng đá, mỗi chiếc có kích thước bằng lòng bàn tay, hình dạng hơi khác nhau, "Trước tiên hãy thử chứng kiến xem, khác biệt giữa tôi và cậu lớn đến đâu đã nhỉ…"

Phong Bất Giác huýt sáo, thảnh thơi bước xuống từ một chiếc xe taxi, nhét cho tài xế một tờ một trăm đô, vô cùng đắc ý nói một câu: "Không phải trả lại tiền thừa!"
Tài xế cảm ơn, trong lòng mừng thầm lái xe rời đi.
Bây giờ đã là một tiếng đồng hồ kể từ lúc Phong Bất Giác ra khỏi ngân hàng, trong một tiếng này, anh đã đi ra sạp báo, giống như cướp mua một đống báo lớn. Sau đó đến một khách sạn nhỏ không yêu cầu chứng minh nhân dân thuê một phòng, vừa nghiên cứu tin tức vừa bấm CD phóng kỹ năng triệu hoán. Trong khoảng thời gian này anh đã triệu hoán ra được mấy thứ, thực lực đa phần đều ngang ngửa như "Cò đầu búa", hình thể khá nhỏ, cũng không có năng lực gì đặc biệt.
Nhân tiện nhắc lại, khi Phong Bất Giác ở ngân hàng, anh đã đựng một túi tiền mặt đầy đô la Mỹ, sau đó để túi tiền mặt đó vào trong ba lô… Cho nên mua báo, thuê khách sạn, gọi xe gì gì đó… Hoàn toàn không phải là vấn đề gì to tát.
"Thiên đường Phương Bắc… Hừ… Có của anh thật, ông anh Victor." Phong Bất Giác nhìn nhà xưởng phía trước nói.
Ông anh Victor mà anh nói chính là Mr Freeze* (tên thật là Victor Fries).
(*) Mr Freeze: lần đầu xuất hiện trong series comic Batman số 121(năm 1959). Mr. Freeze có tên thật là Victor Fries, một nhà khoa học tài năng phải tìm đến giải pháp cực đoan để cứu thoát tình yêu của hắn – Nora khỏi cuộc sống đóng băng trong tủ đông lạnh. Hắn biến thành một tội phạm để có tiền cho nghiên cứu của mình, và giữa trí tuệ vô cùng thông minh, một súng ống đóng băng chết người cùng bộ giáp tăng cường sức mạnh, hắn là một đối thủ đáng gờm của Batman.
Phần lớn các nhân vật phản diện trong Batman đều là những kẻ điên loạn, nhưng Mr. Freeze lại là một người với đầu óc bình thường.
Cuộc chiến tranh giành áo choàng cũng được coi là một trong những sự kiện lớn của series comic DC, Phong Bất Giác cũng đã từng xem. Anh không thể nói là rất quen thuộc với cốt truyện, nhưng chỉ cần đã từng xem qua, anh đã có thể dựa vào ký ức, để lôi hết toàn bộ những tình tiết từ to đến nhỏ trong khu lưu trữ ký ức ra…
Nói một cách đơn giản, cốt truyện chính là sau khi Bruce Wayne "chết" (Năm đó DC Comics đã viết cho Batman chết để nâng cao lượng tiêu thụ, sau đó lại không có tiết tháo gì tuyên bố thực ra anh ta đã xuyên không), Jason Todd thế hệ thứ hai mưu đồ tiếp nhận danh hiệu của Batman, cướp lấy danh hiệu đó. Nhưng sau khi Todd bị The Rocker giết chết một lần (để vợt tiền mà vất vả sống chết kiếm tiền), đánh mất chính mình, mặt đen tối trong tính cách được thổi bùng lên, đi trên con đường lệch lạc, điên cuồng.
Bởi vậy cho nên, Robin đời đầu Dick Grayson (đã thoát khỏi Batman tự lập sự nghiệp, rời khỏi thành phố Gotham đi đến Brookhaven, tự lập trở thành Nightwing), trở về thành phố Gotham, là người kế nhiệm tốt nhất của Bruce, anh ta không phụ sự kỳ vọng của mọi người (DC tặng một hào quang nhân vật chính) cuối cùng đã đánh bại Todd, kế thừa sự nghiệp của Batman.
Trong trận đấu tranh đó, còn có hai vị Robin ra trận "làm cảnh". Đương nhiên, họ kém hơn hai vị nêu trên.
Còn điều Phong Bất Giác quan tâm thực ra không phải là bản thân "Trận chiến giành áo choàng" này, điều anh quan tâm hơn là những đầu mối ngầm phía sau trận chiến giành áo choàng nhưng xảy ra trong cùng lúc đó…
Thứ nhất, là cuộc đấu tranh giữa Two Face và Penguin. Thứ hai, là những tên phạm nhân trong nhà tù Arkham mà Black Mask* đã phóng thích và khống chế. Thứ ba, chính là sự kiện Mr. Freeze bị cảnh sát trưởng Gordon bắt.
(*) Mặt nạ đen là một giám sát giả tưởng xuất hiện trong truyện tranh Mỹ được xuất bản bởi DC Comics. Được tạo bởi Doug Moench và Tom Mandrake, anh xuất hiện lần đầu tiên trong Batman # 386.

　　Phong Bất Giác năm nay hai mươi bốn tuổi, là một nhà văn trinh thám. Một ngày, anh đột nhiên phát hiện bản thân đã mất đi cảm giác "sợ hãi". Phong Bất Giác đến bệnh viện kiểm tra thì phát hiện ra vấn đề lớn. Chụp cộng hưởng từ hiển thị một bóng mờ trên đại não của anh, ở gần hạch hạnh nhân, không loại trừ khả năng đó là khối u.
          Hai tháng trôi qua, bóng mờ trên não bộ của Phong Bất Giác vẫn không có gì thay đổi, không trở thành ác tính, cũng không thu nhỏ hoặc biến mất, các chỉ số kiểm tra sức khỏe khác đều hoàn toàn bình thường. Mất đi sự sợ hãi là triệu chứng duy nhất, hơn nữa không ai có thể nói rõ liệu anh có chết hay không, hoặc có thể sống thêm được bao lâu, vậy thì cứ để mặc cho số trời.
Một lần vô tình nhìn thấy quảng cáo Close Beta của game “Khu vui chơi đáng sợ”, anh quyết định bỏ một số tiền lớn ra mua khoang game về chơi. Mục đích tham gia game này của Phong Bất Giác không chỉ đơn giản là "chơi", mà chủ yếu là muốn bị "dọa". Anh mang tâm trạng dù hết thuốc chữa cũng phải thử một lần, tìm lại cảm giác sợ hãi cho bản thân.

Batman does not like anyone going into his head but his response alone baffled Alejandro. He did not dare to try to read batman mind again but looked ahead and saw that he was going to go into a waterfall and freaked out for a short amount of time. Screams were coming from the bat-mobile until the car jumped into the waterfall and a tunnel within filled with lights and tech and a huge cave. Although Alejandro has gamer mind which helps keep him calm under duress it didn't kick in that second until he went through the waterfall there seemed to be a gap in time where it kicks in too late. The bat car approached the middle of the bat cave and parked the car and the bat-mobile opened and batman came out and Alejandro was frozen in place for a second. 

Batman walked up to a gigantic computer and turned it on showing a name and a picture Jason Blood, Zatanna, John Constantine, and DR. Fate as well as many other mystical members of the justice league with powers and abilities listed. Batman looked at Alejandro as he attempted to get out of bat-car awkwardly.  

Batman: "I know you have psychic powers however I checked your background and everything about you is normal and your DNA checks out as human. I could feel you attempting to read my mind before we got here. The reason I got you is that there is a prophecy from both of our young and older League members whose powers are magical calming that a powerful being will come into existence which might be the doom or salvation of us all. So I investigated and studies births and past and current events and did not find anything until a few days ago." 

Batman clicked the computer and it showed Jaime turning into blue beetle the first time and the fights he got into. Then showing that after Jaime having better control of himself after the next day. Batman then proceeds to show  M'gann M'orzz picture and powers and abilities listed. 

Batman: "Recently M'gann bioship communicated to M'gann that another bio-ship was close by but was cloaked but she couldn't sense anyone. I investigated the surrounding area with my satellite and saw an almost undetectable ripple so I studied M'gann ship and found out that the only way something like that occurs is if the ship is in camouflaged mode. Your mistake was that you flew over happy harbor when you left El Paso. I do not know how you were in two places at once so I have spoken to J'onn J'onzz and he spoke to mars the real martian officer was late by a week."

Batman Investigation skills were no joke he even manages to figure out that Alejandro was somehow even though the Martians did not know his true identity. Batman began asking me if Alejandro wanted to work and train under him so he can keep a close eye on him through the young justice group and make sure that he did not became the destruction of the world. Batman said it was mandatory. 

Alejandro: "So you want me to go to some fancy school and work under your "apprenticeship" as a cover and join a group called Young Justice who will babysit me or test my character? Okay, then let's be honest I...."

Alejandro explained his powers were psychic and he felt the call to go to mars to help and then he explained almost everything to batman except for the system and Alejandro expect batman to be just as honest. Batman did not like exposing his identity to Alejandro but since Alejandro put it down as a condition to work with the league and young justice. Batman knew it was a risk he had to take. After their agreement Batman inputted a code name and authorization for Alejandro into the system then he escorted Alejandro to a zeta beam. On the opposite end of the zeta beam in Happy Harbor a mechanical voice verifying the designation of two people coming through.

A group of youths standing at the end of the zeta beam awaiting batman arrival and the team consists of BeastBoy, Kid Flash, Robin, Miss Martin, Zatanna, Raven, Aqualad, and Superboy. Batman and Alejandro (code name: Psi) entered into the hollowed-out mountain and addressed the team. Alejandro feeling shy put his hoodie over his face because he did not want to show his expression of excitement meeting all of his heroes in one day. He was afraid he would get so excited and faint if he met the rest of the Justice League. 

Miss Martin: "Welcome to our team I would like to extend thanks for helping my people on my home planet."

Superboy: "angry stare..."

Kid Flash: "Hey nice to meet you"

BeastBoy: "Thank you for saving my sister's home-planet my name is Garfield"

Raven: "waves but has an intense stare as if she trying to figure him out"

Robin: "welcome to the team."

Aqualad: "Guys we are overwhelming him lets give him some space so he can get comfortable"

Zatanna: " It is him! I can feel his power with my magic."

Everyone looks at Zatanna knowing she was referring to the prophecy but the whole time Alejandro was dealing with another problem entirely.

Alejandro was shocked but didn't understand why he did not obtain the physiology of a Kryptonian, homo-magi, or martian he just learned their powers and reconditioned it to work for him in his enhanced human body which he was fine with. His only problem was magic and it price factor so he knew he couldn't use magic he was planning to create better physiology and stack it with his enhanced human physiology according to the system instruction. He had no idea how he was going to do it but he was determined to find out. Although everyone was realizing that Raven and Zatanna were flocking to him as if they were drawn to him but wary of his energy. He also had to ponder on the fact that the team is different than the show, and comics so not everything is in line 100% according to his comic or television knowledge so he had to keep learning. 

Robin and Superboy escorted Alejandro to his room so he could get some breathing room. They informed him that he was going to have to get up tomorrow since he starts his new day in school and then later he will come back and begin training.

A hard-working family man in his 30s stuck in an endless repetition of living in a mundane world. The only joy that made him happy is his wife, kids, and DC comics. Unfortunately, He was murdered because someone who was wearing a MAGA hat saw him and his family speaking in sign language and mistaken their method of communication for gang signs.

A mysterious being spoke "I heard your prayers yet I cannot send you back to your world I will reincarnate you to DC Universe" A voice thundered from the being and a flash of light surrounded the man's soul before it faded to nothingness.

After the fight between shadows, Theodore went on to tell a few chapters of Sole Piece.

It was already ten in the evening and Theodore had finally decided to stop streaming.

Theodore was just saying goodbye when he remembered that he still had a task to do.

Theodore looked quickly checked his status to see if the task was done. Thankfully it was so it meant he can finally say goodbye again.

Theodore sat down and began drawing in a new sketchbook. So far Theodore has three thick sketchbooks, these being "Sole Piece", "Rose's Fairy Tales" and one for doodling.

This new sketchbook was for a superhero comic. Currently, the comics of this world lost its supposed popularity with it already having superpowers. So what type of superhero comic do you make when the world sees it as the norm?

The answer is you make a dark gritty comic where the hero has no superpowers and relies solely on his ability to prepare and adapt.

"Batman, adapt it to the worlds modern technology setting. Tech is gonna have to be more outrageous than what this world already possess. Dark navy blue bat or black?" Said Theodore while drawing out an outline on of Batman on the front.


Just as he felt like he was having a eureka moment his phone rang.

*RING, RING, RING*

Pulling out his phone he looked at the caller ID and answers "Hi Mary it's a bit late so keep it short"

"Sorry Mr Hunt, I just need to know you have any plans on becoming a Music Artist," Said Mary excitedly

Theodore took a few seconds to think about before replying confidently "Becoming? I'm already an Artist"

Mary thought he was referring to being a drawing artist and that he had no such plans but little did she know that Theodore's music alias is slowly gaining some popularity.

He still has two songs left to choose and produce then he has to just get 500,000 downloads before being rewarded with his game memories.

"Sigh, that's too bad Mr Hunt. Is there anything I can do to persuade you into doing music" Said Mary in a suggestive tone

"Let's not go down this road again Mary you won't like how R-ough and Br-utal it can get" Said Theodore while slowly emphasising rough and brutal with a dominant and husky voice.

Theodore waited for her replying before hearing a loud *Gulp*

Theodore put his stuff away and checked on Rose again before heading to bed and getting some much-needed rest.

hello everyone wiz161 here and I'm so ecstatic that over 47k people have read my story a story mind you that in truth I just made up in my head and made the story a hour later thinking no one would see it with the app having much more talented writers then me and now  here I am.

and I'm here to say that I pausing 'dcmcu kaiju system' for now while I think of what I'm going to do with it and no I'm not dropping it im just going to mule over the story maybe even rest it and do a marvel or dc only universe one

"Annie! Is nice to see you. You look even better than the last time we met" A middle aged guy greeted my mother once we entered his office.  

"Oh Clark stop with your lies" My mother replied playfully. It was clear that the both of them were friends, or in really good terms at the very least. 

"And you must be the young genius I been hearing about... Mister Sam Bane" He said amicably, and then he offered me his hand to shake "I'm Clarke Cook, it's a pleasure to meet you" 

"Good day to you sir" I shook his hand firmly. Or with the most strength my seven year old self could muster. 

After the short interaction, I finally could relax a bit. For some reason, ever since yesterday night I was really nervous about this reunion. I guess that I really wanted for it to work out. 

"Take a sit please" He said after a while, with a never ending smile on his face. 

His office was a mess. I could tell that he worked hard, if the multiple papers all over his desk, and the big bags under his eyes were any indication. Still, it didn't gave much confidence on his organizational skills. 

"Thanks Clark" My mother replied. And before I could notice the mood changed. It was like the both of them went from normal mode to business mode, in just second. 

Before coming here, my mother just told me to let her negotiate in my behalf. And I planned to do exactly that, especially now with the professional aura she inspires. 

"Well, let's start with the book composition first" said Clark, "Annie, like you already know, I like the three stories you've sent me last week. They appeal to a younger demographic, which is  a group that is gaining traction lately. Although I have to say that these stories are too short to be released as books on their own. So, I propose to compile them. I think five stories could make a good sized book" 

It was reasonable. My stories were a little too short. I could've done them longer, but I wanted to keep them simple, considering that the target readers would be mostly kids. 

"That's a good idea. Although I think that the stories should have a common theme between them. For example, a book collection could be about princesses. Sam here has written about ten stories about princesses, so it shouldn't be a problem, right Sam?" My mother said, and tactfully helped me to get into the conversation. 

"Yes, there's no problem with that" I said calmly. Mr. Clark finally looked at me after that. He looked interested with that bit of news. 

"That sounds good to me. I'll need to read the five stories you plan to publish, so we can progress any further... But in an act of good faith of Sam's work, we can talk about the details of the deal we will be making" 

"What do you propose then?" Mother asked. 

He looked at me for a second before concentrating on my mother once again. Then, he brought up a paper he had at the only clear zone of his desktop, and passed it out to my mom. 

The contract I assume. I planned to read it on my own when my mother finishes it, but I couldn't help to look at her to see if I could get any information from her face expressions. Which ended up being a pointless endeavor. 

"Ha!" She exclaimed "I see your intentions Clark. If this is how it will be, let's stop here. We'll take our leave" My mother finally said. And then stood up from her seat and walked to the exit. 

I could only guess what unreasonable things were written on there. So for now I just followed her up. Although for some reason I felt that this wasn't the end of the discussion. 

"Wait!" Clark finally said, "I admit the contract may be a little unfair, but we can discuss it, no need to go away just like that" 

My mother turned back with a smirk on her face, "I'm surprised, I've heard a little about your situation Clark. But now with you flinching so quick, I'm wondering of how bad it really is" 

To my surprise it seems that we were not in the losing end of the negotiations to begin with. My mother really played him hard. Clark's face said all I wanted to know. He was mad, but he still stayed quiet about it. 

"Yeah, it's true. We are in need of a success, and that's the principal reason to even consider to publish a kid's book, besides the publicity within itself that it could generate" He admitted. 

"I've heard that all the upcoming writers choose to go with other companies, after all you've had a bad record in the last five years" My mother added while the both of us took a seat once again. 

"You really did your research, huh?" he said with a defeated look. "... I wanted to start my own comic book company, but at the end all the good artists preferred to go with either 'power comics' or 'marvelous', and before I realized, the book company I had spent so many years to build up, was on his way to bankruptcy" 

It was kind of a sad story, but also an amazing opportunity. If I played my cards right, maybe making my own comics wasn't impossible for me in the near future. 

"So, in your times of need you thought on cheating your good friend of so many years" Mother said while making 'tsk' noises, pointing the bad deed Clark has made, "Sam is young, so there will be no problem if he waits a couple of years to get published... So now I wonder, what deal could you offer us, so we can even consider making a deal with you" 

Clark clenched his jaw at that, and had a serious expression on his face. He kept quiet though, it seemed that he was seriously considering the matter. 

"What do you want?" He finally asked. 

"Twenty percent, and the rights will belong to him completely" Mother demanded. 

That was a extremely good deal, especially for a newcomer like me, asking for that much was out of my expectations.

"That's... acceptable. But Sam will have to publish at least four books with us" He countered. 

"Are you joking? Two is the most we are going to concede" Mother said with displeasure. 

That was something we had talked about before. If I was successful enough, I could go with a bigger publishing company in the future. And my mother had a high faith on my success for some reason. 

Now there was a clear disagreement between them. I honestly couldn't care less if I had to write four books for this company, with the new deal offered I would have no complaints. But I knew what I wanted. 

"How about I do publish four books, but you'll have to publish a comicbook of mine... With the same conditions as the one with the books" I interrupted them. 

The both of them stared at me with surprised faces. "What do you mean?" Clark asked after a while. 

"Well... I have this idea for a comic, and I felt compelled to do it after I heard that you own a comic company" I explained. 

"Are you talking about the one you've made with Hanna?" Mother asked me with a worried face. It was clear that she thought that it wasn't that great. 

It wasn't a bad comic per se, but I do agree that it isn't the kind of comic that sells well with the masses, nor profesional enough to be a comic on his own. But I'm aware which comics are the best sellers at this era, compared to my old reality.   

"No" I said, before Clark could have asked about it, "I have an idea for a superhero comic, but I don't have the talent to draw. So I thought it was a good compromise that if my books are successful enough, Mister Clark will hire an artist to draw my comic, and then he'll publish it" 

"That's interesting. What do you think Clark?" Mother asked with a simple smile on her face.  

This wasn't something we had discussed before, so I was relieved that she just went along with the idea. 

Clark just sighed and nodded with a smile of his own. Even if he tried to hide it, I could see that he was happy about the deal. In the end, he wanted both of his companies to succeed, and now there was a chance for it to be possible.

Samuel Bane, a guy who was just a normal 23 year old in another life, was living in a new world with his memory intact. 

The new world is almost exactly the same as the one he lived before, except that the period of time was similar to the mid 80's that he knew by the movies and tv shows he watched.

This story will focus on how Sam enters the entertainment business. Getting his works published and meeting new people on his way towards an unheard level of success. 

The concept of the story has inspiration in "I'm really a super star", but it's nothing alike.
