Hello, Hi hi~

This is way overdue since I promised last June a new version of Rich Sex but all the drafts and shit ended up in failure due to me already having written everything in the 'Rich Sex' book so I scratched them out and decided to play with the characters instead and give them their own books.

The two characters I worked with were Titania's two kids that were minorly introduced 'Yoshirro' and 'Yoshiyuki'. 

The eldest of the triplets 'Yoshiro' had his story as being a gay man and went off to be with Kei. Now the other two have their own story finally but is not set in Japan or Korea so I'm not sure how you all will take to the stories.

Yoshiyuki still has her Asian genes where Yoshirro takes on a new race as I am trying to have a variety of characters under my belt. 

Yoshiyuki's story 'None of My Business' is of her in university and a whole shit load of drama unfolds because of one event. She is also adopted into a loving family after her mother gives birth to her and dies from blood loss - I won't go into much detail for those who are interested but I do hope you give it a read.

Yoshirro's story - 'Her Unheard Plea: An Unheard Desire' I turned him into a Kingpin, so expect drugs, sex, violence and death... That's all I'm saying because I don't want to spoil my own books - so I do hope that you all will give these two a chance.

Rich Sex is a novel based on real events that took place such as arranged marriages, slavery, harassment, rape and more mixed together with my exaggerated imagination combined together that introduces many topics about human nature. 

**This book is sometimes mistaken as a Romance Novel after reading the first few chapters but it's not, this novel is more in the psychological genre, with some minor funny scenes**

Book 1 is about the youngest daughter of the Kang siblings, this confused story of hers is only explained after book 2 is complete. (If that makes sense.)

Book 2 is about the psychotic behaviour of the Kang Siblings, at first its a person who triggers the 6 siblings to have a change in them, then everything follows suit.

Book 3: Explains what happened to the characters of book 1 and the conclusion of the story wraps up in book 3.

The family ate dinner in a warm atmosphere. Nicolae was the Linden kids' favorite uncle, as well as the godfather of Altair and Vega. His presence in the house always made them happy.
"Ah ... it's already 8 pm. The children and I will have to go home now. Tomorrow they have to go to school," Nicolae said after finishing his wine. He rose from his seat and tapped Altair and Vega's shoulders alternately. "Let's say goodbye to your parents."
Altair rose from his chair and embraced his father and then mother, followed by Vega. The twins were now almost 16 years old. Their faces and overall appearance were very similar. Altair was just taller by a head than his twin sister.
They both had beautiful faces with high noses, thin red lips, and brilliant blue eyes. Except for the eye color, they both inherited their biological father's face and hair. Vega's platinum hair flowed beautifully down to her waist, while Altair let his hair grow to his shoulders.
When he was little, he did not like his face that he thought looked like a girl's. However, after meeting his father, who was very masculine with a face similar to his, Altair became more confident with his looks. He knew that he too would grow into a very manly man like his father.
Now, he also didn't mind letting his hair grow that long since the girls at school seem to think he looked cool with such hair. 
Ah, that's right... Altair was very popular among girls at George Washington High School. His locker in school was always filled with love letters or gifts from his fans.
Every time he went home carrying the stack of love letters, his father would facepalm himself. He would murmur that even though Altair was a man, he also had to wait until he was a century-old before thinking about love.
"Ah ... Father, you sound so old-fashioned. Now it's modern times," Altair said every time with a laugh. Just like Vega, he never seriously took his father's words to heart.
Altair had liked one girl since they were little. This girl was named Jean-Marie Wang, or as she would prefer to be called JM. She is the daughter of a family friend, and they often met at family events.
JM was very beautiful and had become a professional model at the tender age of 15. Because JM was still very young, just like himself, Altair was in no hurry to establish a relationship. But he knew for certain, he would not let JM wait for him for a hundred years.
"Be careful on the road, okay," Aleksis said, hugging her two eldest children alternately and then releasing them to Nicolae's car. Not long after, they had disappeared into the highway, and the mansion's large gate closed automatically.
She walked following the steps of her husband, who was driving away their two youngest children, the six-year-old Ireland and Scotland, to go into their bedroom and sleep.
"Come on, it's bedtime for you now. I'll read you a story," Elios Linden said, holding Ireland and Scotland on his right and left.
He really enjoyed his role as a father from day one since the two boys were born. He had read thousands of books to them as bedtime stories, never missing a day.
Ireland and Scotland were born to him by his wife after they were reunited. Both boys inherited their father's purple eyes, but their appearance was more similar to Aleksis' mother who was half Asian. Both had brown hair and visible Asian features.
"Alright... where were we?" Elios asked, flipping through Grimm's fairy tale book in his hand.
"We were reading about the witch when she arrives in the palace!" exclaimed Ireland excitedly.
"Ah, that's right..." Elios opened the page that his son referred to and continued reading the story to the two children.
Aleksis peeked through the door and smiled in satisfaction when she saw her husband and sons were engrossed in their story for the night. She then walked to the front terrace with a bottle of wine and two glasses in hand. She poured the wine into her glass and sipped it while watching the full moon shining brightly in the night sky.
Later, after her husband finished putting their children to sleep, he would join her on the terrace, and they would drink together while chatting.

"You don't always get a second chance. So, make the first one count!"

She was taken away from her doting parents and led a desperately lonely life in a quiet village, not knowing who she was. There, she met the prince who came to give her family.... or so she thought. 

She was the sun that shone over his darkness, the flowers that bloomed in his spring, the only woman he would ever love, if only he could.

This is the story of the prince who cannot fall in love and the lost heiress.

1. What inspired you to write this book WDE? Is the idea derived from the Akatsuki No Yona?

Ans. Well I love reading books and comics about magic. Like the Legendary Master's Wife….or Mo Dao Zu Shi...they are pretty interesting. Whenever I read some new stuffs, I try to imagine and enact the scenes in my mind. Imagination and analysis leads to new plots. I try my best so that my lovely folks could not just read but also feel my story.

2. What is favourite genres of novel or the genres you prefer writing in?

Ans. They will be Romance, Fantasy and Mystery. 

3.When is Zhang XinYi gonna fall for Yu Long? And vice versa.

Ans. Actually none have fallen in love with each other. ZXY is kinda infatuated and thinks that he can get anything he wants. Pride issue i suppose! 

Yu Long might fall in love...but what will he do if he learns his parents died in the Qiying capital prison? Hmm...if I were he, I would love to keep ZXY as the enemy….and probably beg the author to change the book title...

4. What about Rahu and Yu Long?

Ans. Rahu and Yu Long might have a fling here and there, as you can see it will be rivalling the main lead couple's story...still will be fun..😈

5.Who and where are the other dragons?

Ans. The other dragons are Yong and Zu. Location of one is known that is timeless forest. The forth dragon is missing or as Maasa said untraceable. Rest will be revealed in upcoming chapters….

6.How did Taijing react to the annexation of Qinshen and Xianghua?

Ans. Taijing was kinda selfish and coward, when ZhaoShu started with its annexation and gave up their eldest princess to the harem of ZhaoShu emperor. I haven't started their story line yet . But the ruler of Taijing is currently the Provincial Head of Taijing province.

7.What happened to the all the Qinshen people after annexations?

Ans. They are still the citizens of Qinshen. But after the loss of their ruler , most of them submitted themselves to the authority while some went to rebel against the ZhaoShu emperor. Their story will be soon introduced….(spoiler)

8.Who killed Yu Rong and Lin Na, if not XinYi?

Ans. Do you guys want spoilers? Well, you know its not XinYi...its someone else...who wanted them gone...against XinYi's scheme to keep them alive to use them as bait Long to him...must be someone who is looking for death in the hands of our demon emperor...

9.Favourite pairing? 

Ans. They are Rahu and XinYi...its cute and subtle..I like it when they are still in the primary stage of affection ….like still  confused about what it is that is happening to them...let's hope it doesn't cause an issue for our main pair… i wish I could change the title...😢

10.How many chapters will this go for?

Ans. That is unplanned. I think at this rate of plot development...and there is a lot more to come...so roughly 50 more...don't want to cut down the tiny details and shorten the chapters as they make it more interesting….I suppose...

Ans. I borrowed these names from some Asian astrology book...😛

Ans. Time taking...I write using MS Word. I get auto suggestions for English words not Chinese Romanisations… Sorry...

15.If you wanted to recreate a character, which one would that be? And why?

Ans. Actually I want to make Yu Long more courageous not cowardly… But screw it...its okay.. We will do something about it soon...

16.Concept of cores is kinda confusing. Can you elaborate?

Ans. Cores concept...kinda simple..

The cores are allotted based on family lines or genes....The maximum strengths of a golden core bearer is highest, then the silver, then the bronze….that is the maximum strength… But not all are able to achieve the maximum strength in this world...like people ask why is Lin Na a bronze core bearer when she is so strong...she is stronger than most silver and golden core users as they are failed to achieve the cultivation level that she is in…

The distribution of golden core is found in the ZhaoShu because the origin of golden core started with the two legendary dragons who descended the Heavens to live as humans...they were the only the golden core bearers...soon generation and generation this core started spreading in most parts of the world…

Feng Bi was a golden core bearer...so is Yu Long...but not Yu He...

An enormous wave of Divine Will unfurled and spread itself across the entire city, like a gush of an ocean wave that swept across the land, pushing itself into countless streets, and pouring into many skyscrapers and residential homes. Suddenly, a tsunami of information rushed into Chen Fan's conscious, filling up his mind. However, Chen Fan was unfazed. He had become experienced in the act. Slowly but surely, he filtered out the noises and pinpointed the information he wanted. 
The moonless night covered the flickering neon light like a thick blanket, hiding the darkest corner of the city where criminals conspired. However, with the help of the Divine Will, everything in the city was under Chen Fan's radar.
Chen Fan saw a sleepless Lu Yanxue who rolled back and forth on the bed, and a busy Lu Yanwu who was still working by her desk, burying her head among books. He also saw Lu Dayong and his coworkers chatting with each other and threw light-hearted banter at each other. A little bit further, he saw an SUV parked outside of the mansion and Qin Han's furrowed brows. He saw a few furtive figures around the perimeter of the mansion, looking through the fences from time to time. He saw…
However, none of this were what Chen Fan was looking for. He quickly adjusted his Divine Will and suddenly, in his eyes, the entire city became pitch dark save a few flickering flames like candles in the wind.
Each and every candle flame was a life force. A healthy young man's flame was much brighter than that of an old man. On the other hand, the flames of the martial artists were as bright as a small bonfire.
"There are so many Martial Artists in Lin City?"
Chen Fan was taken aback. He saw at least a dozen martial artists within the effective range of his Divine Will. Nearly half of those martial artists had been here to watch his fight against Lei Qianjue. 
"There you are."
Chen Fan's attention was not on those martial artists, instead, he zeroed in on a few sinister presences. Their flames were cold and malicious, just like that of Lone Wolf. Lone Wolf was an assassin and so were they. Chen Fan had stayed here a few more days on purpose, during this time, he had baited these assassins out and tagged them with his Divine Sense.
The last assassin that was tagged by Chen Fan had hidden in a bush only three hundred meters away from the mansion.
"Bang!"
Chen Fan stomped the rooftop lightly with one foot and launched himself up into the sky. He looked like a shooting star that landed gracefully outside of the Lu family residence from the seventeen story building.
"What's that?"
The assassin was hiding in the bush, trying to breathe as light as possible while he examined the mansion with binoculars. He heard a whistling sound, so he looked up only to witness an incredible sight. 
A dark shadow glided through the air against the silver moonlight. Before the assassin had time to figure out what was happening, Chen Fan's feet had already landed on his head, squashing it into a pulp.
"One down."
Chen Fan didn't even care to examine the remains of his victim, he tapped the ground with his feet again and launched himself up. 
"This is awesome!"
Chen Fan launched himself a few hundred meters in the air with each jump and sometimes he even added a few more playful touches such as somersaults and pirouettes in his movement. As energy coursed through his veins, he felt every cell in his body was celebrating his power joyfully as his body exchanged their Essence Qi with the nature around it. The Essence Qi of Heaven and Earth provided his body limitless supply of energy and even allowed him to maintain being airborne for a short period of time. 
This was the first time Chen Fan unleashed the full power of the Azure Thearch Longevity Body ever since he had obtained it. 
"Bang!" "Bang!" 
Chen Fan hopped around the city like a Spiderman, weaving in and out of the concrete jungle. He flew himself up and through the window of a large building and out of the other end. Right before he exited the window, he stamped the wall and gained more speed to make it to the next building. 
The darkness of the night a few dozen meters above the ground provided him perfect cover. Even a stargazer who happened to catch a glimpse of Chen Fan would think that he had just seen a bird.
"Chen Beixuan!"
Inside of a four-star hotel, an Asian man with a gaunt face was watched a video attentively as he murmured the name. This video was shot at low resolution by a sting camera.
On the blurry image, he could make out vague outlines of two men hopping around the lake. It looked like they were at each other's throat, but the video was too blurry to confirm that.
"Too bad that this video is shit, the rain probably didn't help either. Otherwise, I should have gotten a handle on his power." The Asian man furrowed his brows and said.
During the fight on the West Lake, the drizzling rain had blocked the view from even the audience at the lake, much less a sting camera. The Lu family had blocked off the entire West Lake and forbidden any camera. Only a tiny camera that could shoot very low-resolution pictures could make it through the security check. However, the image quality was so bad that one could not even tell the features of the two fighters' faces.
"However, at least I can tell that he is able to move very quickly on the water with ease. It also proves that normal firearms would not do any harm to Chen Beixuan, except for sniper rounds."
The Asian man was an assassin from Korea called Kim Jinhuang
He operated independently and was not affiliated with any other organizations. The Hong Sect's offer of a billion US dollar was too tempting to ignore. After this, he could finally retire on some island country and settle down and spent the rest of his life peacefully.
Suddenly, the window shattered and a dark shadow stormed in.
"How is this possible? I am on the twenty-seventh floor!" Kim Jinhuang was caught off guard, and instinct spurred him to reach for the gun hitched at his belt. 
Even as the man was about to shoot, he saw an azure flash, and then everything went dark and cold. The last thing he heard was a young man's voice.
"Six down."
The dark shadow jumped out of the window before the hotel manager rammed into the door. The manager saw broken glasses everywhere on the floor and a decapitated body on the bed, his hand clutching onto a handgun.
Similar incidents happened many times throughout the night in the city.
They happened in hotels, motels, massage parlor, residential houses, and community parks. Most of the dead were foreigners from other Asian countries. There were also a couple of white people among them. 
They all died from a terrifying execution. Some were sliced in half from the waist, some were decapitated, some were chopped into pieces, and some were burned to a crisp. 
What's more shocking about these incidences was the fact that they all seem to happen within half an hour. That was to say that someone or some organization had killed these few dozen men within thirty minutes.
No matter where the assassin was hiding—some even hid in crowded clubs—their signature was too strong to avoid Chen Fan detection.
"Number twenty-three."
Chen Fan walked away from a bar after he had cast a curse on the assassin hiding within. When the assassin fell to the dance floor, the club-goers around him thought the man had a heart attack.
"In less than half an hour, I finished off twenty-three groups. Thirty-nine of them in total." He reckoned that Qin Han's information was not correct. She had told Chen Fan that there were seventeen groups.
Chen Fan looked up at the sky and heard a muffled cry from the club behind him. He wagered that someone had discovered the assassin's dead body.
He knew that his act tonight would stir up a lot of attention, especially since Chen Fan didn't clean up the bodies.
He had left these bodies for the police to trace back to their original and to figure out their purpose in China. Eventually, the government would figure out that he was tonight's perpetrator. 
However, that was exactly what Chen Fan wanted. He wanted to let as many people know of what happened tonight as possible, using it as a lesson for other groups that meant him harm. On the other hand, Chen Fan was not at all worried about the extra attention he might be getting. 
Although he hated trouble as he always had, he was powerful enough to get himself out of any kind of sticky situation.
"These assassins were from different organizations in different countries. I hope it's enough to teach others a lesson." These assassins were not ordinary people, they were proud elites and losing them would be a huge blow to their organizations. 
"That's not all of it. I still haven't found the most powerful assassin. I will need to do away with him in order to get the message through. I will show them the ultimate price they have to pay should they wish to mess with me."
Chen Fan's lips curled into a smile. He looked to the sky and murmured: "Blacksnake, where are you."
Even as he said that he started the Divine Will to covered the entire Lin City. Suddenly, in Chen Fan's mind's eyes, he looked at the city with a bird's eye view. 
Under such penetrative Soul Refining Art, the city started to confest its darkest secrets to Chen Fan.
He sensed a few powerful presences that he had missed earlier, lurking in the darkness. Despite their inactivity, they possessed immense power that could rival Grandmasters. These presences seemed to have sensed Chen Fan's Divine Will, as they all shriveled a little to hide from detection. 
"Got you!"
Chen Fan looked his Divine Will onto one of the weakest presence. Its energy was deadly and cold.
Che Fan took one step forward and covered a few hundred meters of distance in an instant as he headed toward that presence.

The night is still long and Hou Wei Yan didn't feel like sleeping yet. After freshening up in the shower, she walked out in her PJs with a towel in her hand. She slowly walked towards the study table in their room and sighed when she saw the books piled up in there. She finished reading all of it and she needs new books to explore. ---I need more books to read
 
Once she was done drying her hair, she walked out of her room and goes down to meet Gu Man. The said butler just walked in of the Mansion after he finished patrolling the estate. "Uncle, can I enter the library?" 
 
"Of course, Young Lady" he replied with a smile before he walked towards her. "Let me guide you there" 
 
Hou Wei Yan obediently and enthusiastically followed Gu Man. She love books and they are the one obsession she can never let go. She heard from Gu Man that they have a library but she didn't have that much time to visit it because she spends her evening with her husband. If she ever wants to read a book, Gu Man usually grabs it for her. But tonight is different. She has plenty of time left before she should retire for the evening.
 
As soon as Gu Man stopped in front of a grandiose double door entrance, Hou Wei Yan immediately knew it was the door to her new favorite place inside the Mansion. The decoration of the door was intricately done and the main design was a beautiful tree filled with orchid like patterns molded in prim perfection. She can't help but get mesmerized by it's beauty and what awaits her inside hooked her instantly. 
 
As soon as the door was pushed open, an opulent diamond chandelier greeted her warmly alongside the traditional mahogany-paneled study.The room was spacious and filled with lanes of tall bookshelves that serves as a backdrop for art filled with classical books to historical ones. The room also features an antique desk, a flat-screen TV concealed behind faux book bindings, French Empire chairs flank an English Regency table, and fireplace that gave the room a warm atmosphere. Behind the huge table was a French Door that directly connects it to the balcony overlooking the huge and lush landscape of the garden. 
 
The space displaying in front of her extends far and wide and two stairs connected the ground floor to the second floor filled with wall bookshelves. The entire area made her jaw drop because she knew for herself that she would get lost if she isn't carefeul enough. Suddenly, she remembered the fantasy novels she read that mostly deals with magic and secrets. She slowly turned back towards Gu Man who was waiting for her to get inside. "Uhm, there's no forbidden section here, right?" 
 
"Yes" he curtly replied before he took a bow and closed the door with a smile. "Please call for me if you need anything, Young Lady" 
 
"Thank you, Uncle Gu" she mumbled as she slowly walked inside the enormous library with her eyes excitedly scanning the marvelous area.
 
Amidst her leisure walking, she suddenly took interest in the elegant khotan rug spread beautifully on the floor. The city of Khotan (present day Xinjiang, China) was located in Eastern Turkestan on the Silk Road, which was used by merchants and traders from China to Western Europe. Khotan rugs are characterized by Chinese details and Asian designs. Many Khotan carpet patterns were inspired by the mountains and items traded along the Silk Road, ranging from pomegranates to medallions to Buddhist and Asian motifs and Persian and Indian designs. What intently took her interest is the orchid patterns that adorn it and as she glanced up, the ceiling had golden orchid molded-plaster in it as well. 
 
As she ventured further in, she saw a huge wall covered with a red curtain. Curious, she pulled the golden handle and it revealed a mural painting of a majestic tree. The branches of the tree had orchids in it and two children sat peacefully below it with a book in their hand. Parched in one of the branches is an oddly black and white colored bird that piqued her interest. The painting was done beautifully and it obviously took plenty of time and consideration before it was finished. 
 
She admired it for a long time before she decided to walk away and search for books she can read. As she went through the books, a familiar line up made her eyes shine. 
 
"Ohhh, it's my favorite series" she mumbled as she grabbed hold of golden colored book with a smile on her face. "Book 1, The Emperor's Pampered Wife...I finished the whole series...Should I read this one again?" 
 
She looked at the other book beside it and decided to reread the entire series, starting with the first book in her hands. Afterwards, she ventured further in and saw a line up of fantasy inspired novels. She grabbed hold of one and smirked when she read the prelude. "Lunar Glamour?....A celestial and a human... now that's new" 
 
As she continued searching for more books to read, she found herself back to the mural painting. She slowly crouched down when she saw a glittery book at the buttom shelf. Intrigued, she grabbed hold of it and noticed that it was an illustrated storybook. 
 
"Cognizance of Time?"she mumbled as she traced the delicate handwritten title. A small signature LZWY was the written beneath it making her think that it was the author of the book. She slowly flipped through the pages and immediately got enticed by the drawing. The artwork was similar to the one on the wall making her smile. "The illustrations looks familiar...hmmm, orchid garden?"
 
She flips through it a few more times before she closed it and brought it to her room alongside the other. "This looks promising" 
 
Hou Wei Yan walked out of the library, three books gently clasped in her hands. As soon as she walked out, Gu Man strode towards her with his butler demeanor. "Let me help you, Young Lady" 
 
"No. It's okay" she gently said as she glanced at the books in her hands. "It's not heavy at all" 
 
"Should I bring snacks in your room?" Gu Man asked once Wei Yan got inside her bedchamber. 
 
She smiled warmly at Gu Man as she nodded her head. "That would be lovely" 
 
As soon as Gu Man left the room, she walked towards the veranda with the glittery book in her hands. She sat on the armchair before she slowly inhaled a breath of fresh air and began reading the storybook that captured her interest. The right page had the wonderful illustration of the majestic tree while on the left was the handwritten narrative of the story.
 
"In the heart of a forgotten mountain, believed to be the nest of Fairies and the place which the dragon protects, stood a mighty and majestic tree. It's branches were filled with orchids of different colors and types. The place was secluded and no human had ever step foot to marvel at it's beauty for the place was protected and a strong enchantment was set to mislead travelers" she gently read, her eyes focused and captivated by the beautifully done art. "With a strong wish engraved in his heart, a young boy named Zee ventured out to the forgotten mountain and despite the many dangers lurking in his path, he never once faltered. His belief in the Fairies that resided in the mountain was so strong that the mountain itself made way for him. The path was opened up and the young child found himself in front of the Majestic tree with all the fairies smiling down on him" 
 
She slowly flipped to the next page and saw the Majestic Tree with fairies smiling down on a raven haired boy with eyes as gray metallic silver. "The fairies asked the child for his wish and the boy only blurted out one word—friend" 
 
"The young child abandoned by the world and was scoffed at by others wanted nothing but a friend to get him through the hardships he's facing. He wanted a friend who can listen to his problems and advice him when he needed it most. He wanted a friend who can accompany him, laugh with him and comfort him as he cries" she was caught in the charm of the story and she sympathized for the young child. She then flipped through the next page and felt her heart jump when she saw a beautiful young child with chocolate brown hair and emerald green eyes engulfed by a golden light and was surrounded by the fairies of the Majestic Tree. 
 
She wasn't sure why she thinks of it, but the illustration of the young child looked like her when she was young. Although, unlike her who was quite a chubby baby, the child was petite and a beautiful smile adorned her face. 
 
"With all power they could muster, the Fairies created a little girl for the young child. Her hair was the color of the earth and her eyes as beautiful as the leaves of the majestic tree. The boy thanked the the fairies and named the child Wendy. The fairies accepted his thanks but his wish wasn't fully granted for young Wendy cannot leave the forgotten mountain. She who was born in the mountain shall remain in the mountain, that was their divine rule" she continued, now curious why the child looks like her. 
 
"The kid felt dismayed but he thanked them still. It wasn't fully granted, but he received a friend nonetheless. From that day on, Zee would always visit the mountain whenever he has the time and he would play and talk with Wendy until the sun dies down" Hou Wei Yan read before she flipped through the next page and saw a teenaged Zee alongside Wendy who remains as the beautiful young child blessed by the fairies. "They remained as friends, and Zee shared all his burdens with Wendy. He had always thought that the time where he would be leaving Wendy would never ever come. But Zee was human and Wendy sadly isn't. Each time he visits, Zee's appearance gradually changes while Wendy remains as the beautiful young child the fairies created. Despite this, Zee didn't mind the changes...but as he grew older, his mental toughness strengthened and his social circle grew the more he lives his life so in due time, Zee no longer needed young Wendy" 
 
She felt her heart clenched when she learned that Zee who asked for Wendy eventually forgot about her. He wanted a friend and yet he abandoned his first ever friend when he finally had plenty. Why would he do that!? How inhumane!
 
Although pained by this sudden development, she continued on and flipped through the next page where the Forgotten mountain cleared a path once more…but instead of Zee, an old man entered the mountain. "Wendy waited for the young child who asked for her all the time. She watched him grow older and she was there for him whenever he has in trouble. Although not entirely human, Wendy still longed for her friend. In was not until a few years passed when the forgotten mountain opened up again and in came an old man with a crane in his hands and wrinkles all over his face. Without asking for his name, Wendy immediately knew it was the friend she was waiting for" 
 
"But instead of a smile, Zee greeted Wendy in tears. All he could ever utter in front of the friend he abandoned is an apology. He wanted her to get angry, but the little child hugged him tightly instead. Her warmth made him remember all the time they had spend together. He thought it was his memories, but all of it belongs to Wendy" she read aloud with a pained expression on her face. Wendy waited of him and although the waiting was painful…she remained optimistic and viewed such misfortune as a blessing in disguise. 
 
Wendy wasn't human but she learned how to be human by spending time with Zee. She didn't mind that she was left alone, she was just glad that she was of help to him and that she learned how to be human through him. 
 
The next page showed Wendy with a huge smile on her face as she engulfed Zee in her embrace. The old man had tears on his face as Wendy gently comforted him under the bask of the sun. "Wendy showed him that she was utterly happy when he was with her and even as he left, she never felt unhappy because she knew this day would come. She just thanked Zee for letting her watch over him as he grows and thanked him for all the memories he shared with her. Wendy was happy that she got to spend plenty of time with him until the end of his time" 
 
"The forgotten mountain was enchanted and no one could go through...except those children who needed little Wendy, the young guardian of Orchid Garden" she finished with a sad smile on her face. 
 
She wasn't sure whether she would be glad that Zee ended up died. But she guessed that it wasn't an unfortunate death because in the end—Wendy forgave him and he died smiling in the hands of his friend. He must have died in relief and Wendy found it in herself to help those who needs her withut expecting anything in return. 
 
She stared at the last picture of the Majestic Tree where Wendy stood there glancing at the crystal blue sky. She slowly closed the book and stood up but as she did so, a picture fell out of the book. Her hands trembled when she picked it up because she saw that it was a picture of her and Han Yu Shou alongside four other child. "Yu Shou and me?" 
 
Hou Wei Yan felt her heart palpitate in nervousness before she flips the picture and a handwritten note which she read aloud. 
 
"Moron5 and Me?" she carefully read before she flipped it once more and carefully inspected the picture. All six of them had a huge smile on their faces but aside Han Yu Shou, she couldn't remember the others. ---This is certainly my hand writing. But I can't entirely remember who they are nor why I wrote this. 
 
"Who are they? They look familiar but I can't name them" she mumbled as she walked towards her bed and carefully thought back to her childhood. She liked playing around but she was mostly with her cousins, Xie Na and Han Yu Shou. The boys she knows when she was young was minimal because of her overprotective male cousins who always pounce at those trying to get close to her. So she wasn't sure how she's acquainted with them and more importantly—how did it ended up in the book in her husband's estate!? "Hmm?Why is this even here?"
 
She slowly looked out the window and suddenly remembered that her husband stayed in the Hou Estate during their wedding. ---If I remember, he stayed at my room after the wedding. Did he get it there? Do I even have this picture there? 
 
Before she could delve deeper in her thoughts, a knock was heard on the door causing her to abruptly hid the picture back in the book. "Young Lady, I brought the snacks" 
 
She walked back to the veranda and inserted the book in the other books in the table. "Come in, Uncle" 
 
Gu Man placed the generous amount of snacks in the table while Hou Wei Yan curiusly observed his movements. Unable to take it in, she decided to inquire and solve the mystery of the photo. "Uncle, did Grandfather give something to my husband?"
 
"By something, you mean gifts?" he asked curiously. Why would she suddenly ask?
 
"Mementos" she mumbled seriously. After mumbling this, Hou Tian Lang's smiling image suddenly crossed her mind making her flinch. Right, her grandfather is quite iconic with his weird obsession in showing off her childhood pictures. "Did he give something to my husband? Any of the sort?" 
 
Gu Man smiled when she said this before he chuckled in remembrance of Grand Elder Hou's strange obsession. "He gave Young Master some of your baby pictures. Why did you ask, Young Lady?"
 
"He likes doing...wait...he what!?" 
 
She looked at him, her mouth agape and her mind momentarily frozen. Gu Man chuckled at her reaction before he continued retelling what Grandfather Hou did after the wedding. "He gave some of your baby pictures to Young Master" 
 
Once she heard this, Hou Wei Yan face-palmed before she sighed. She should have already expected this considering how he always wanted to have a Grandson-in-law! "I look hideous when I was young. Why did he give it to my husband?"
 
"Young Master said you look adorable" Gu Man muttered honestly. His young master had a collection of her baby picture and it was all thanks to Hou Tian Lang's generosity. He treasures the album filled with Hou Wei Yan's baby pictures to a degree that he kept it tightly locked in a vault. 
 
"Did you see it too, Uncle?" she asked quite worriedly. Her Grandparents and her mother likes taking pictures of her when she was young. They captured different photographs in various angles and they all kept it even though it looked hideous in a certain angle. What if her grandfather ended up giving him the worst ones!?
 
"Grand Elder Hou proudly showed it to me" he replied with a smile. Noticing that her shoulders slumped in worry after hearing this, Gu Man patted her back. "Don't worry, Young Lady. You're indeed adorable when you were young" 
 
"But I will worry" she grumbled as she began thinking of the images that her husband probably possess. She often played in the mud and climbed trees, what if he received those instead of her decent ones while she was playing piano!? ---What will my husband really think of me? 
 
Noticing her little inner monologue, Gu Man it was better to leave her alone for the moment. He bowed down politely towards her before he slowly walked out of the room. "I will be leaving then" 
 
"Thank you, Uncle" she mumbled before the door closed and leaving her alone once more. Once Gu Man was out, she grabbed 'Cognizance of Time' before she pulled out the photo and took a picture of it. Once done, she returned it to its rightful place as she reread the storybook once more. 
 
.....
 
"Wei Wei!" a young voice called out making making her glance down from the tall tree situated in the middle of a flowery meadow. "Come down!"
 
She looked at the young child who looked like Zee from the storybook she read earlier. He was calling out her name so she wasn't sure if he was Zee or not. 
 
"Who are you!?" she tried to ask but no voice came out of her mouth. Instead, different words came flooding out and her voice sounded so young. "The sky is beautiful today as well! Why don't you join me up here?"
 
"If we both stay there, the tree would break" the young boy said seriousness in his face and voice.
 
The young her frowned at what he said and she could guess why. "But I'm not that fat"
 
"But I'm masculine!" the boy immediately replied making the young her chuckle at his response.
 
'Pfft' she let out before she slowly slide down the tree and approached the young boy who looked at her with surprise all over his face. "You're really something now" 
 
"You're handsome, intelligent, talented and masculine...Aren't you too perfect?" she mumbled as she walked closer and closer to him. The boy remained rooted on the ground while her young self smiled widely at his appearance. "Bro---" 
 
A sudden light blinded her sight before she could even hear the continuation of the child's name. As she opened her eyes, the sun greeted her warmly and reminded her that today is the fourth day of her husband's trip...and she's missing him badly.

In an instant, she was dragged by his men to sign their marriage contract. She had long accepted that such tragedy would come, but she never thought she would have a weird husband! He was set on on not showing his face and yet pampering her to no end!

Shaun's POV
My whole damn desk was filled with chocolates and cards. Well, I don't give a damn about letters or proposals from a girl but I do care about chocolates. I see, the chocolates are home made but the visuals are fucking bad, what the hell was the girl thinking when she made these as a gift for me.And for what?  For proposal.... Hahahahaha!!!! She must be kidding me. Let me just eat it. I was eating peacefully when I heard someones voice and felt like someone was tapping me on my shoulders. I turned around and saw the Asian guy whose name was probably Kazumi or that's what I came to know when I asked one of the boys who was referring me as his boss.  I'm not a bit interested to be a leader or to lead these brainless dummies around me, but I'll just let it pass, unless it does become something problematic for me. I really like this Kazumis reaction, he's kinda cute whenever he gets mad and makes that irritating face. It makes me want to tease him more. After listening to his blabbering for a while and I just stuffed his mouth with a piece of chocolate. And at last, out of frustration he shouted, resulting for both of us to stand out of the class. When we were standing out of the class, I decided to irritate him more and asked his name although I knew his name beforehand, and intentionally mispronounced his name which kind of hurted his ego, maybe. But after a minute or so, I became a bit serious and gave him a piece of advice about what I saw the day before yesterday. He was really furious and was going to answer me when suddenly the bell for the lunch rang. I walked into the class after he entered and sat on my seat only to witness the scene of a adult being scolded by his fellow classmate. I really wanted to laugh but when I felt someone calling me I froze for a second. I ignored it but it kept on repeating for a while and at last I turned my head. At first, I was a little shocked but later I knew what comes next. I tried my best to speak as gently as possible and asked her name and what business she had with me. Shock was evident on her face when I asked her these questions but she tried to cope up with the shock and showed me her earlier smile. A FAKE SMILE. I really hate people like her, I was going to refuse her in one go but when I stole a glance at Kazumi, he showed an annoyed expression. Does he liked  her?  Or Hate the fact that someone was hitting on me in front of him?  I don't want the fun to over, so I smirked a little and agreed with the girl to have a private conversation with her. But the second I agreed, Kazumi got up from his seat and tried to run from the situation and gave his friend a lame excuse when his friend asked. He must be pissed a hell. After that, I followed the girl and to my expectation, she took me to the roof top. I really hate all these, I mean who in their right mind wants to get trapped in a cage like a bird, which others called relationship or so called love. I am sure as hell that I will never ever fall in love and why should I, after all I'm free  and I love my freedom more than anything else. We reached the rooftop and I stood there, leaning against the wall and waited for her to open mouth that fake mouth of her so that I can reject her on her face and escape of this hellish situation.  "Before saying a-anything I would l-like to introduce my-myself. My name is K-Kiara and I-I am here to say something i-important." She broke the ice and spoke while stuttering as if I'm a monster and would devour her anytime soon. And is this dimwitted girl on her interview, My name is Kiara!!  No one asked and I know very well about that so called 'important something' that you want to spout. I was trying my best to say my inner thoughts on her face but I really hate when girls cry. She took a deep breathe and continued ,"I first saw you, when you were taken away by Carson and his gang,  for a moment I thought you will end up like everybody else who tried to go against him but you really proved me wrong, you saved many students from his torture and the thing that attracted me towards you was your selfless behavior, you didn't tried to control the students when you gained power. At first, I thought it was just mere attraction and would fade away after a few days but I was wrong again. You were in my mind for 24/7, and even in my dreams, you would appear with a charming smile on your face. That is when I decided that I want to be the reason behind your smile and take all your sorrows away. I love you Shaun. Please be my boyfriend.  I promise you that I'll never cheat on you and will try my level best to always make you happy." Finally!!! She ended this, I was starting to get sleepy. And was that boy's name was Carson, I didn't even know till now, but that doesn't matter. please Those pickup lines of her really made me sick. She thinks I'm selfless, Well Little girl you should just play with your dolls at home. And what, she wants to be the reason behind my smile, I should say that it's clearly IMPOSSIBLE , even if she rebirths 7 times, I'll never want her to be the reason behind my smile. I thought for a while about rejecting her in a proper way but my eyes caught something more interesting. Someone was peeping on us. I took a second glance and to my surprise, I found the face a lot familiar. It's Kazumi, the Asian guy who sits behind me. Is he following me? Does he like me to that extent? Woah, I'm really shock but at the same time I wanted to shower him with all the praising words I know. How about I praise him with my actions?  In this way he will be satisfied and the girl will also back down. It's a win-win situation for me, I can kill two birds with one stone. The girl named Kiara was smiling nervously and was going to say something but I, without giving her a chance to speak,  started moving towards Kazumi. He tried to run away from me, but I reacted fast and grabbed him by his arm and pulled him towards me with a little force. I kissed him and tarapped him within my arms but I didn't expected him to be so shocked and immersed in the kiss that he would even forget to resist. How stupid of me, of course he liked me, so why would he even resist, I sometimes think like an idiot. The kiss was getting deep and passionate when I saw a gloomy figure staring at us with his wide open red eyes. He's Kazumis friend but I don't know his name neither do I wanted to know. If I am not wrong, he must have followed Kazumi and witnessed this scene. Now I'm understanding the story, the one who likes me is liked by someone else and that someone is his own friend. I embraced Kazumi tighter and kissed him more passionately as if marking my territory and that friend of his really didn't dissapoint me as he runaway when he saw his love being snatched by someone else on his face. The moment his friend left, Kazumi also started to struggle and tried to break the kiss which I didn't let him do. He suddenly bit me on my lips and escaped while covering his mouth. He turned around and I think I saw him blush a little. He must be the shy type and  this must be his first kiss. I WAS his first kiss, I thought while caressing my lips. I turned towards the girl who was shocked beyond any limit. "I know it's sudden and very unfamiliar experience for you but believe me I didn't wanted to be rude but my boyfriend, whom I just kissed was getting jealous and might have broken up with me if I had not done it. He was thinking that I'm cheating on him with some other girl and coincidentally you gave me those letters and chocolates which infuriated him more. He is shy and doesn't want to disclose the fact that we're in a relationship. The sole purpose of my admission in this school is him, I was worried that he might not take good care of himself and will be alone. So... I'm sorry but I can't accept your feelings as I will not be able to reciprocate it. I hope you  understand." I said and was amused about how good my acting skills are, I should probably try some threater,  maybe I can be the next rising star. The girl just smiled and nodded. I took it as a yes and went to my class. When I entered the class, a new scene welcomed me but I was lucky this time as my only job was to be an audience and enjoy the show. Kazumi was on the ground picking up some books and money while his friend was staring at him with bloodshot eyes. He cast a glance at me and his one look was enough to feel the killing aura of his. Kazumi said something after giving the books to his friend but what I heard was only the word 'kiss'. Was he telling him about the kiss on the rooftop?  I smirked and thought, "poor you, your own love is sharing the story about his first kiss with another guy."
The teacher came and the class started but I still could hear some whispering sounds but moments later those whispers turned into light sobbing. I turned my head and there he was, crying like an pathetic fool. I thought about teasing him but something stopped me, I don't know what  happened with me as I felt the sudden need to console him. I pushed those thoughts out of my head, and tired to concentrate on the teacher while looking at Kazumi from time to time. 
In the evening, as I was returning from all the classes,  I saw something of my interest in one of the convenience store on the side of the road. I asked the driver to halt the car and park it. I got off the car and started walking towards the store. I was laughing internally when I saw Kazumis face, it was like his soul left his body. He greeted me without any emotion and didn't even looked at me. "Is this how you treat a customer here!! With no emotion no smile." I tried to get his attention. He immediately lifted his head up and met my eyes, with mouth wide open. He must have wanted to say something but beacuse of shock couldn't. I spoke first to pull him from his consternation, " Will you speak or do you want me  to call your manager." I tried my best to act seriously but I know I was smiling, only a bit. "What the hell are you doing here! Get the fuck out of here!" he said as soon as he regain his senses. What?? He is telling me to get out?  Is he trying to play hard? "I'm your customer you should talk politely with me and show me a professional smile" I said with a playful tone. He understood his situation and smiled, "How can I help you? " Now that's how a person should behave especially when they are with me. "I want some handcuffs, so that I can handcuff your hands and take you home with me." I said and saw the sudden change of color on his face. He was blushing like crazy. He opened his mouth only to close it on that very moment and he moved his eyes from me to someone who just entered the store.

In his previous life, Kai wasn't very good with knives, he preferred using his body to fight. In the 21st century, it was exactly that kind of entertainment that the masses were interested in, and the chance of dying by accident was much smaller.
However, even on Earth, Kai was attracted to the cold and dangerous steel of the blade. He even had a small collection of weapons, but he never used them. And now, that strange urge for having a sword had awakened in him again. Considering the kind of world he had ended up in, such a choice of weapon made sense.
But where could a fourteen-year-old boy get a sword, when he couldn't even leave the house? When Jongo had patients, he had to stay hidden in his room.
However, Kai understood and even supported the old man's decisions and demands. After all, no one wanted to cross paths with the Yoni family, so it was better for him to lay low. But it was getting more and more difficult for him to live like a rat. It had been a month since he got into this world. 
Having read in one of the books about a technique that allowed him to temporarily change his appearance, Kai began to persuade Jongo to help him learn it. After two weeks of persistent persuasion, the old man finally gave in.
Jongo knew all the medical techniques from his books and he could easily change a person's face for some time with the use of energy. However, he was afraid to let Kai leave the house on his own. So he decided to send him to the city together with Julie, who he was planning to send to buy some ingredients for his ointments anyway.
Having used the needles to divert his energy into the boy and rearrange his facial structure, Jongo made Kai unrecognizable. Dressed in a simple white shirt and gray, baggy trousers tied with a rope belt, and straw shoes, Kai was finally able to go to Caltea.
Walking next to Julie, who was carrying a wicker basket, hair turned black and cut short, Kai finally stepped out of his home and onto the busy streets that were bustling with people.
Mixed in the crowd were all sorts of people, from beggars to wealthy merchants, dressed in luxurious clothes, surrounded by bodyguards at the Body Stage. 
Kai's wide eyes were darting from one thing to another, which almost made him wander away from his sister a couple of times. Julie had to take him by the hand in the end, so that he wouldn't lag behind and get lost. 
There was so much to see. He was so accustomed to the concrete jungle of cities, so he was surprised to see wooden houses, the architecture of which resembled that of East Asian countries. They all had at least two floors and looked rather pretentious with their tacky décor. But the oddest part was that their doors were left wide open.
As Julie later explained, those were trading shops and stores. After all, the street along which they walked was called the Market Street and it stretched across the whole city, starting at the southern entrance and ending at the north. 
The dazzling signs and numerous barkers, made the street so noisy that Kai had a feeling like he had walked into a nightclub. Suddenly, a deafening roar drowned the cacophony of voices.
People started moving away from the center of the street and went closer to their homes. Julie had to drag Kai away as he stood frozen in his tracks. 
And then they appeared — three huge tigers, each of them at least ten feet tall. Their snow-white fur and fangs longer than a human leg inspired both awe and fear. In comparison to them, their Earth brethren looked like kittens.
Each tiger was being ridden by a man with enchanted armor and a sheathed blade on his belt. The one in the front didn't look older than forty, and he emitted strong vibes of Soul Endurance. Right behind him, on the two smaller tigers, were two similar men of about twenty years of age. Kai felt that they had already reached the Mind Stage. 
Behind them were two dozen warriors at Body Stage, approximately at the level of Bones and Muscles. They were dragging a long chain tied to a huge bull, covered with matte black armor.
That entourage was moving toward the city center, and people who were standing on the side anxiously observed and whispered.
What struck Kai the most was the aura that the tigers and the dead bull were emanating. The former evoked a sensation of the Mind Stage, and the latter the Soul Endurance.
"The members of the Bayweck family have once again defeated a terrible monster that has been terrorizing the county!" someone from the crowd shouted.
"Yes! Long live the strongest family of Caltea! Long live the Baywecks!"
"Long live the Baywecks!" The crowd chanted.
Kai wanted to ask Julie something, but once he turned around, he saw that she was too busy staring at something in fascination. As it turned out, she, just like hundreds of other young ladies, and even older women, was looking at the two guys on tigers like they were in love with them.
The men were smiling happily and waving at the screaming crowd. Obviously, this family of aristocrats was loved in Caltea. 
Are they really that handsome? Kai wondered in bewilderment, suddenly becoming aware of the fact that Jongo hadn't given him the most pleasing appearance. 
The entourage went its way and the crowd finally calmed down. Everything returned to its previous state, and Kai and Julie continued their journey.
"Can animals also develop abilities?" Kai asked when Julie finally came back down to earth. Blushing slightly, she remembered that she wasn't alone while she was staring at the warriors.
"Huh? What? Yes, yes, animals also have the System, only they need to eat other creatures in order to absorb energy. They can't breathe it in," she explained. "Haven't you read that in the books?"
Kai shook his head. "No... Are they really the strongest?"
"Are you talking about the Bayweck family or the animals?" Julie asked in confusion.
"About the family, of course!"
"Yes, they're considered the strongest and most powerful family in Caltea. It's because their patriarch is the only one who has been able to surpass the stage of Soul Endurance. Also, their power increased when the talent of the youngest sons, Wong and Nong, was revealed."
"Were those the guys on the tigers?"
"Yes. With them was their uncle, the brother of the patriarch Bayweck and one of the elders of the family."
"Can you tell me more about the families of Caltea, and about the city itself?" Kai asked. "All I was able to find was related to medicine and a little about cultivation."
Julie was slightly surprised. "It didn't cross my mind that you had forgotten all that. Sorry... Well, there are four aristocratic families in our city: Bayweck, Suwon, Niyoyan, and Yoni. However, in reality, they have great privileges and almost no power. The city is governed by a mayor who has been sent from the Capital. We can say that the families rule over certain territories. Currently, the strongest among them are Baywecks. A hundred years ago, it was the Yoni family, but their current generation didn't live up to the expectations of their ancestors. So now, they're very angry about being in the second place. Both families are mainly engaged in mercenary activities and monster hunting, so they see it as competition. As for Suwon and Niyoyan, they're almost equal and they share the third place. The former is engaged in alchemy and healing, and the latter in artifact making, and armor and weapon smithing."
"I see... Wait! Did you say alchemy?" Even in Jongo's books, there wasn't any mention of it. 
Julie nodded. "It's an ancient science. Very little information has been preserved about it. Even less than about the techniques. I heard a little about it from grandpa. As Julie had told him on the way, here they could find a lot of items that weren't sold or produced anywhere else in the city. It was in such trading houses that the traveling merchants sold their goods.
Once they were inside, they saw rows and rows of small stores where traders exhibited their goods, having booked their place in advance. Different goods were sold on each floor, which was why Julie immediately went up to the fourth.
For Kai, who was staring around, the place looked like an ordinary mall. Albeit, with an Asian theme. 
However, as soon as they got to the fourth floor, guarded by several high-level guards at the Body Stage and with a complex emblem above the entrance, Kai realized that he had been too quick to judge. The floor was divided into four sectors with a sign above each one. 
It was a special floor designated for the aristocratic families, stocked with high quality and rare goods. The floor was quiet, devoid of noisy crowds and brightly colored shops. Everything looked more luxurious and orderly. 
Julie walked further, and Kai had no choice but to follow her, inspecting the goods as he did so.
The Bayweck and Yomi family sectors had fewer goods than the ones of the Suwon and Niyoyan family, but they were more expensive. They were selling monster organs, skins, claws, and teeth, as well as crystals. Many ingredients extracted from monsters that had reached the Body Stage and above were useful in medicine, so it was no wonder that they were considered expensive goods.
As for the crystals... Kai didn't know anything about them, except that they cost eight gold or 400 silver coins. That was almost four times bigger than Jongo's annual income.

Kai wasn't sure if Julie was aware that Demian had a thing for her. They had definitely known each other for a long time.
"Grandpa sent me to get some kawei leaves and two pounds of go roots," Julie said, and Demian's face darkened. He had hoped that she came to see him, but she was here on business. To top it off, Demian's disappointed gaze fell on the nasty mask that Jongo had created for Kai.
"I see... And who's this?" he asked, pointing his finger at the boy.
 "Ah, that," Julie started. She couldn't say that it was her brother, considering that his face was different now.
"I am Ushan, master Jongo's apprentice," Kai replied calmly, giving himself the name of the author of one of the books he had read.
 "Ha!" Demian sneered, looking arrogantly at the peasant boy who dared speak out of turn. "I didn't ask you! Since when have mongrels been accepted as students?
Kai didn't bother answering, just smiled broadly, knowing that there was no point in talking back to someone who had just done harm to themselves.
 "Mr. Demian, please be so kind as to give me the goods," Julie said unexpectedly coldly and seriously.
Demian was confused by the girl's behavior. She was never formal with him.
"Ha? Julie, come on," he said affectionately.
"Can I please have half a basket of kawei leaves and two pounds of go roots?" she asked, tone unchanged.
Unable to redeem himself, Demian gave them what they had come for and the two left, leaving the poor guy to wonder what had happened. He blamed everything on Jongo's nasty apprentice.
At the exit, Julie took a deep breath.
"I never would've thought that he could be so nasty. I've never noticed it before," she said, gaze lost in the distance. "How dare he call my brother a mongrel?!"
Julie kept ranting, but Kai wasn't listening. Petty insults and rude people didn't bother him at all. Especially now, when he was too busy re-reading the description of an item worth twenty golden coins.

Mixed in the crowd were all sorts of people, from beggars to wealthy merchants, dressed in luxurious clothes, surrounded by bodyguards at the Body Stage. 
Kai's wide eyes were darting from one thing to another, which almost made him wander away from his sister a couple of times. Julie had to take him by the hand in the end, so that he wouldn't lag behind and get lost. 
There was so much to see. He was accustomed to the concrete jungle of cities, so he was surprised to see wooden houses, the architecture of which resembled that of East Asian countries. They all had at least two floors and looked rather pretentious with their tacky décor. But the oddest part was that their doors were left wide open.
As Julie later explained, those were trading shops and stores. After all, the street along which they walked was called the Market Street and it stretched across the whole city, starting at the southern entrance and ending at the north. 
The dazzling signs and numerous barkers made the street so noisy that Kai had a feeling like he had walked into a nightclub. Suddenly, a deafening roar drowned out the cacophony of voices.
People started moving away from the center of the street and went closer to their homes. Julie had to drag Kai away as he stood frozen in his tracks. 
And then they appeared — three huge tigers, each of them at least ten feet tall. Their snow-white fur and fangs longer than a human leg inspired both awe and fear. In comparison to them, their Earth brethren looked like kittens.
Each tiger was being ridden by a man with enchanted armor and a sheathed blade on his belt. The one in the front didn't look older than forty, and he emitted strong vibes of Soul Endurance. Right behind him, on the two smaller tigers, were two similar men of about twenty years of age. Kai felt that they had already reached the Mind Stage. 
Behind them were two dozen warriors at Body Stage, approximately at the level of Bones and Muscles. They were dragging a long chain tied to a huge bull, covered with matte-black armor.
The entourage was moving toward the city center, and people who were standing on the side anxiously observed and whispered.
What struck Kai the most was the aura that the tigers and the dead bull were emanating. The former evoked a sensation of the Mind Stage, and the latter Soul Endurance.
"The members of the Bayweck family have once again defeated a terrible monster that has been terrorizing the county!" someone from the crowd shouted.
"Yes! Long live the strongest family of Caltea! Long live the Baywecks!"
"Long live the Baywecks!" the crowd chanted.
Kai wanted to ask Julie something, but once he turned around, he saw that she was too busy staring at something in fascination. As it turned out, she, just like hundreds of other young ladies, and even older women, was looking at the two guys on tigers like they were in love with them.
The men were smiling happily and waving at the screaming crowd. Obviously, this family of aristocrats was beloved in Caltea.
