Talin hesitated outside his bedroom door, his gaze on the breakfast tray he'd made.  He'd burned the toast a bit, but it was edible.  Pushing the door open, he entered the bedroom to find Dimitri sitting up.  Ignoring his heart's little skip, Talin took the tray to Dimitri's side of the bed.
"I brought coffee," he said banging the tray slightly on the bedside table.
Dimitri helped him steady the tray.  Once it was safe, Dimitri took his left hand.
"I hope you're not leaving me to disappear downstairs," Dimitri said.
Talin laughed.
"No, I called Lori; she'll handle opening the club."
"Good," Dimitri tugged on his hand until he sat on the side of the bed.
"You took my rose," Talin said, shifting until he sat legs crossed on the bed facing Dimitri.
Reaching for the tray, he placed it on the space between them.  He took Dimitri's cup of coffee and held it out.
Dimitri took the cup with a small shrug.
"You don't need black roses, Talin.  I'll get you vibrant red ones if that's what you want."
"But, the black one was unique.  I don't even know where it came from."
Dimitri pressed a finger on his lips.
"Don't worry about a dead rose, my dear.  I'll get you a whole plant."
"And where will I put a rose plant?" Talin asked putting jam on Dimitri's toast.  "I don't have a garden out there."
Dimitri nodded to the windows and the little balcony built in there.
"We'll put a flower pot there."
"What about when it snows?"
"We'll wrap it up." Dimitri grinned.
Talin shook his head.
"You have a solution for everything."
Dimitri nodded.
"That's right."

Dimitri bit into the toast with a small happy sigh.
"I want to eat breakfast with you everyday."
"I doubt that," Talin said applying marmalade on his toast.  "You have Kat cooking for you."
"I'm a third-wheel in that house."  Dimitri grinned.  "She and Lukas have eyes for each other in the morning."
Talin laughed at that picture.  He doubted Dimitri would ever be a third-wheel in any situation.  His personality brought him up front and center.
"You don't believe me," Dimitri said.
"I think they both love you too much to make you feel like a third-wheel.  You're whining," Talin said.
"Jeez, there's no joking with you."  Dimitri sipped his coffee.  "Still, I prefer having toast with you to any fancy breakfast."
Talin felt warmth burst inside him and he took a bite of toast to hide it.  They ate in silence for a few minutes.
Talin reached out to wipe away toast crumbs caught on the corner of Dimitri's mouth.  Dimitri took his hand and pressed a kiss on his fingers.
"What are you doing today?" Talin asked.
Dimitri sighed.
"I have to go to the marina.  Lukas needs help with one of our charter boats.  Something's wrong with the engine."
"You like working with engines.  The day I went to your place, I found you working on a pump engine.  Is that what you do all day?"
"I do a lot of things in a day," Dimitri answered.
"Things like what?" Talin asked, wanting to know all he could about Dimitri.
So far, all he knew was that the man had insomnia, and liked to sleep in Talin's bed.
Dimitri put his coffee cup on the bedside table.
"Lukas and I own the marina together, but he does the administrative work and dealing with customers.  Kat helps but she has her restaurant to deal with.  I work behind the scenes.  I check the charter boats, do maintenance and if anyone needs help with their boat, I handle that.  We offer warehouse space, so I make sure shipments are in order.  My job gives me a flexible schedule and I get to work with my hands."
"And your men, those guys you hang with, what do they do?" Talin asked.
"Sean and Tomas help me," Dimitri said.  "They handle all the warehouse problems which can be trying."
Talin met amused blue eyes.
"Satisfied?" Dimitri asked.
"Nope," Talin shook his head.  "Where did you go last night?  I saw your car in the parking lot before I fell asleep.  You weren't in the club, I called Lori to ask."
"A friend picked me up," Dimitri said with a slight shrug.
"What friend?"
"Business friend," Dimitri said.  "He had an emergency to do with a shipment and needed my help."
"Is that why you didn't sleep?" Talin asked with a frown.  "Dimitri, you have to take better care of yourself.  I know how it is to overwork."
"Don't worry about me," Dimitri said.  "I don't sleep that much anyway.  Besides, I slept the whole day yesterday."
"Still," Talin moved the tray to the bedside table.
Dimitri pushed the sheets away and moved closer, reminding Talin that he was still in his boxer shorts.  They hadn't done anything beyond a few kisses and holding each other.  Dimitri sunk his fingers into Talin's hair, tilting Talin's head back so that they could kiss.
All thoughts of what Dimitri did or didn't do disappeared.  Dimitri tasted like coffee, strawberry jam and toast. "It's great to see you, Carl.  Did Terry kick you out of the house today?  I haven't seen you in a while."
Carl laughed and moved to take a seat on the armchairs set before Talin's desk.  Talin joined him, moving his chair so that it faced Carl.
"She's driving me crazy," Carl said, his voice soft, dripping with fondness.
Terry was Carl's wife.  Talin had been Carl's best man at their wedding six years ago.  They had one two-year-old boy they both doted on.  Carl was madly in love with his little family.  Happiness radiated from deep within.  It brightened Carl's dark brown eyes as nothing else could.
Talin was jealous.
"You haven't come to visit the Turnip," Carl said studying him.  "We worried.  Terry asked me to come here and drag you out to lunch."
Talin smiled at the mention of Carl and Terry's eclectic bookshop.  He missed that place; the couple had a knack of stocking the bookshop with the best of books.  They'd let Talin name bookshop when they first opened it.  Talin still couldn't believe Terry had agreed to call the bookstore the Turnip.
"That woman," Talin smiled.  "She's so bossy."
"She worries about you," Carl said leaning forward, elbows on his knees.  "Although, I have to say, you're not as depressing as you usually are.  What's changed?"
Talin scoffed.  "What are you talking about?"
"Secret smiles, happy eyes, hmm…" Carl grinned.  "Anyone I know?"
Talin shrugged.
"Not really," he said not ready to mention Dimitri's name.
Carl gave him a knowing look and stood.
"Guess you're not ready to share.  Come on then, I'm not taking no for an answer.  We're going to the steakhouse down the street.  We need to get some meat on them bones."
Talin gave the list of names on his desk a wistful glance.
Carl took his arm before he could launch any protest and led him out of his office.  Talin barely grabbed his jacket on the way out before Carl closed the door.
It was wonderful to walk down the street with Carl.  He listened to Carl talk about his son, and watching him grow.  Carl talked about Terry, love in his every word.  He'd forgotten what this was like, just listening…Carl could talk for hours…somehow it had always seemed like the best thing about Carl.  He'd never needed to talk, Carl did it all…Talin just listened.
"How's your store, Carl?" Talin asked as they settled in their seats at the Steakhouse.
Carl picked up his napkin giving him a surprised look.
"Doing great, Terry ordered new graphic novels, you could come over and check them out."
"That sounds like a plan," Talin said studying the menu.
"Really?" Carl asked sitting back.  "She's kept stuff for you for months."
"I'll drive to the bookshop later."  Talin looked up to find Carl staring at him.  "What?"
Carl took the menu away from him.
"Okay, what have you done with the real Talin?"
Talin laughed.
"I'm the same old Talin."
"No you're not," Carl shook his head.  "You're definitely not the same Talin I've seen the past four years."
Talin held Carl's gaze for a moment, before he looked away.
The past filled the silence between them…too close…too hard…yet now; Talin took in a deep breath and let it out slow.
"I'm sorry," Carl said his tone regretful, "I've ruined it."
"No," Talin shook his head.  "There's nothing to be sorry about.  I-I checked out…"
Carl studied him, and then reached out to squeeze his hand.
"Don't think about it.  I'm insanely happy to see the icicles melting.  Please, let's go to the bookshop after this.  It will be like old times."
Talin watched Carl pick up the menu, a small grin on his lips.  He wondered why he'd never seen how much his self-imposed exile worried Carl.
"I feel like having barbecue short ribs," Carl said grinning at him.  "What do you say?"
Talin laughed.
"Sure, definitely feel like getting sauce all over my face.  Why not?"
Carl nodded and called their waiter.

Hours later, Talin drove back to the Talon from Carl and Terry's bookshop feeling happy.  He'd strapped in a box full of new copies of fantasy graphic novels on the passenger seat.  Terry knew his tastes well, and she'd kept the best titles for him.  Glancing at the box, memories came back, happy memories.  He'd always loved graphic art, the more conceptual the better.  Carl and Terry had helped fuel that love through the years, encouraged him when he'd created it too.  Thinking about his art skills brought back memories.
Memories…the vault in his head clicked open.

Talin remembered afternoons in the sun, seated under a huge oak tree, the grass so green…gorgeous green, but not as gorgeous as Gabriel's green eyes. "Where are you?" Dimitri asked when he answered.
"On the way back to the club," Talin said adjusting his seatbelt.  "I went to see old friends.  Are you at the Talon?"
"I stopped by to drop something off, you weren't there," Dimitri said.  "Are you alright?"
Talin glanced at the box of graphic novels.
"Yeah, I'm fine.  Are you coming over tonight?"
"Later," Dimitri said, his voice filled with promise.
Talin smiled.  "I'll wait."
"Drive safe," Dimitri said then.
Ending the call, Talin placed the phone on its holder on the dash.  Holding the steering wheel with both hands, he let out a steadying breath and eased back into traffic.
"Steady, steady…," he whispered.

Back at the club, Talin helped Lori clear tables for the night.  It was almost three o'clock in the morning, Dimitri still hadn't shown up.  Picking up the last stool, he overturned it on the table and stretched his arms above his head.  His shoulder muscles complained and he dropped his arms.
"Did you have fun with Carl?" Lori asked as she filled out the daily forms.  "I saw him drag you out of here earlier."
"Yeah," Talin said taking the rag he held to the counter.  "I didn't realize I was neglecting them until I saw him today.  Their son is walking and everything.  It was surreal, I remember a small tiny baby who had to be carried with care."
Lori chuckled.
"Boss, you haven't noticed much these last few months.  Working, working," she shook her head.  "I guess you've turned on a switch in there.  I can't wait for the new employees you're hiring.  It will mean day offs."
Talin frowned.  "You get day offs."
Lori scoffed.
"From where?" she asked looking around the empty club.  "I'm pretty sure the bulk of the work has been between you and me."
Talin picked up the dirty rags and went around the counter to dump them in the washing machine.  He put in the right amount of soap and started it.
"Dimitri came over earlier," Lori said as she put away the daily forms.
She went back to his office and brought back a package wrapped with delicate green netting.  She placed the package before him with a wide smile.
"Unwrap it, I've been dying to see what's inside all night."
Talin undid the green string holding it all together, and the netting fell away.  He grinned when he saw the small potted plant, the thorns unmistakable.
"A plant?" Lori asked.
She touched the earthenware pot with intricate designs on its surface.
"The pot is expensive.  I don't get it."
Talin touched the leaves carefully.
"It's a rose plant."
"A rose plant?" Lori frowned.
Talin ignored her confusion and instead reached for the card tucked into the plant.  He opened it and found Dimitri had written a note.

Twenty minutes later, he carried the box of graphic novels, with the rose plant carefully balanced on top, upstairs.  Stopping at his door, he got his keys and unlocked the door.  Ignoring the lights, Talin went into the living room to place the box on the coffee table.
He went back to close the door and turn on the lights.  That's when he saw the white envelope on front door rug.  Frowning, he picked it up, as he locked the door.  Opening the envelope, he pulled out a picture with a note on the back.
'Dimitri Sedlackov is dangerous.  He's not what he seems.'
"Well, that's ominous," he said under his breath turning the picture.

My mum gasped. "Gene, I'm a wolf," my dad replied. "Th-this must be a bad dream, or a hallucination, James, wake me up your not a wolf!" My mum cried. My dad sighed with his wolffish face. "Yes, Gene your right your dreaming, it's not real, you'll wake up soon," he said softy as his wolf face transformed back into a man's. "Your right, I was just dreaming," she sighed with relief. The summer night air was warm and soft blowing through my mum's hair as it the air blew throughout the city of London. The bell to the big clock tower Big Ben bonged twelve times telling them both it was midnight. "Come on lets go home, it's way past our bedtime," he finished. 

My mum didn't know at all my dad was a wolf and even when she saw that vision, she knew it was all just a dream which my dad told her, or was it? As far as I know he just told my mum she was just dreaming of him being a werewolf in London so that she won't freak out if she really knew he really was a werewolf in London.

This is based in the My Little Pony universe and in our world in this story where a women named Adean transforms into a draconequus by two thugs after putting a red pendent around her neck, she gets captured and put in a lab hen enters Equestria and makes friends with the mane six and Spike the Dragon who help her to get humanity to appreciate her as a draconequus, will they succeed? Read to find out.

Over a month passed. Milena was aggrieved because she was unable to contact Andrew. She couldn't believe the man just left after sleeping with her and didn't give her a word.

There must be a reason...

In a beautiful house in a rural area in Surrey, a young man was reading in his begonia-adorned garden. A nurse came and prepared his food and medicines on a tray and put them on the table next to the young man.

"Mr. Linden has arrived. He is waiting for you in the living room, Sir," the nurse informed him after she finished arranging the tray.

Andrew looked up from his book and frowned, "Who's Mr. Linden?"

"He is your best friend, Sir."

"Oh..." Andrew nodded. He knew that his illness was already at the most advanced stage, and it was only a matter of time until he forgot everyone. He took his medicines and walked into the living room.

There, a man in a neat suit was sitting on the sofa. He seemed to be in his late twenties.

"Hey, Tony... How are you?" Andrew greeted his best friend.

"Fine. I want to inform you that Milena has arrived in England. She thought she got a scholarship for art school in London sponsored by a company. I've arranged a trust fund for her education until she graduates. She'll never know that these are all from you."

"Milena? Who's Milena?" Andrew asked in puzzlement.

Tony wryly smiled. This was the third time he and Andrew had talked about the girl he loved and Andrew didn't remember her. As usual, he pulled out his cellphone and showed Milena's photos and videos.

Andrew looked at the cellphone that showed the face of the most beautiful girl he had ever seen, and instantly, tears ran down his cheeks.

He remembered now.

"Oh... Thank you, Tony. It would be easier to carry out the transplant procedure in England, so we need to find an excuse to bring her to London." Andrew nodded.

"But she keeps trying to find you, Andy. She often calls the company to ask about you. I just told her we don't know the person named Andrew Miller there."

"Good. I don't want Milena to know..."

"Hmm..." Tony looked upset. "I think she should know the truth someday. It's not fair for her if we keep hiding the truth... That you didn't leave her, that you gave her a new life by donating your heart, liver, and kidneys."

Andrew thought for a moment before slowly nodding, "You can give a letter from me to Milena three years after the transplant, and once she has lived happily, I'll explain everything."

Tony seemed relieved to hear that.

He wouldn't be able to accept it if Milena hated Andrew and thought of him as a jerk who just left her after bedding her, even though Andrew had sacrificed so much for her.

After the transplant operation took place, Milena took several months to recover and made sure her body didn't reject the new organs.

After Milena completely recovered, she resumed her studies at her art school in London, with the scholarship she thought she got from a company.

She still missed Andrew and kept trying to find him. After her health recovered, she was confident she could love the young man.

But unfortunately, Andrew vanished into thin air. She couldn't find any trace of him. It was as if the man never existed.

Milena could only keep her longing in her heart and forced herself to focus on her studies. As a scholarship student, she mustn't disappoint her sponsor.

THREE YEARS LATER

As a young painter who was considered a genius, the exhibition of Milena's works in Jakarta attracted a lot of attention from art enthusiasts. This was her second exhibition after her previous one in London.

On the opening night, the gallery in Central Jakarta was packed with hundreds of people, making Milena feel moved. She didn't think that there were so many art lovers in Indonesia who appreciated her works.

"Good evening, Miss Milena. The exhibition is quite interesting," a young man approached her with a warm smile. He spoke in English with a London accent. Ah... maybe this person is from England?

"Thank you," Milena nodded humbly.

"Hm... I have a gift for you." The man pulled out an envelope from his shirt pocket and handed it to Milena. She didn't think she knew this man to receive such a gift from him. The man quickly excused himself with a smile.

"Eh... What's this?" Puzzled, Milena opened the envelope and took out what was inside. It was a letter. Reading the first few sentences, her body immediately trembled.

She had to hold onto a wall so she didn't fall. Mustering her strength, she walked to the nearest chair and sat down, calming her palpitating heart.

She then reread the contents of the letter.

"Dear Milena,

How are you? If you're reading this letter, it means I'm already gone. Our encounter in Bandung three years ago wasn't a coincidence. I've been diagnosed with an incurable, late-stage brain tumor. Therefore, I wanted to at least be useful for others who are more worthy of life than I am.

I know that you're the only patient who matches with three of my organs, and you've been in and out of the hospital since you were a child. I can't imagine how it's like to live for decades with an illness like what you experienced. So I was curious. I wanted to know what the girl who would accept my organs was like… Whether she was worthy... If my sacrifice would mean anything. That's why I came to Bandung and pretended to be in need of an interpreter to explore the city.

When I got to know you, I discovered that you were really, truly worthy of life, Milena. I was amazed to see the joy and zest you showed every day. Despite all your limitations, sufferings, and illness, you never gave up. You still lived your life wholeheartedly. Every. Single. Day. 

For you, carpe diem isn't a mere slogan. It's what you live! I was embarrassed because I used to blame the universe for my illness and gave up so easily once I knew I only had six months to live.

I then fell in love with you, really deeply... and I knew for myself, that I couldn't possibly have you because I wouldn't live for long.

But I'm still really happy, because even after I die, I can still be with you as part of you.

During these three years, I've been waking up with you every morning, sleeping with you every night, taking all your exams with you, accompanying you during your projects and exhibitions, crying whenever you cried, and laughing whenever you laughed.

I want you to be happy.

I hope you won't be sad when you find out the truth. I'm really happy to have met you. Keep your spirits up and stay amazing, okay?

Remember our conversation at that time?

Ten years from when we last met, I'll be in New York, Paris, and London seeing your painting exhibition. I'll travel the world with you and see the places you visit and write in your books. I'll often be in your studio and see you paint whenever I want.

Milena couldn't hold back her streaming tears as she hugged the letter on her chest.

Andrew only had 6 months to live. The doctor sentenced him with a brain tumor that had reached the terminal stage. 

Not wanting to die in vain, he then decided to donate his organs. But he had a condition, he wanted to choose the person who will receive his heart. 

From several international waiting list patients that matched him, Andrew found a girl who had been in and out of hospital all her life because she was born with some congenital disease and had to get not only a heart, but also a new liver and kidney, all of which matched his. 

Andrew finally decided to meet the girl and see what she was like.

Fan Xian had arranged for Teng Zijing to share his carriage for their whole journey, so these words had not escaped him. He frowned. "It does seem too much of a coincedence. I have only just entered the capital. Why would I get into fights with people? Sizhe follows me one day, and during a fight at the restaurant, Crown Prince Jing just happens to be there. It is hard to explain such a coincedence."
Teng Zijing smiled. "Your brother may be rude and unreasonable, but there is no evil in him. Lady Liu would not give him such a task.
"Her son is not fit to be a scholar or a fighter," he continued. "It seems he is only good for eating, drinking, and bragging. Lady Liu holds him in contempt."
A bitter smile crept across Fan Xian's face. "Because she does knows her son cannot support her, she is plotting against me... she's a tough one. Lady Liu... she wants everyone to think that the Count's baseborn son is just a useless, spoiled braggart and nothing more."
"Perhaps you were unaware," said Teng Zijing, "but something always happens whenever your brother leaves the house. So when Lady Liu had him follow you, she didn't need to plan anything. He would get you in to trouble all by himself."
"You mean, just by having him causing trouble around me, I would appear to the outside world to be the spoiled son of rich parents."
"Correct." Teng Zijing smiled. "Lady Liu's plan is simple, but it seems very effective."
Fan Xian laughed. "Lady Liu is very interesting... she knew that everyone would tarnish Sizhe and me with the same brush. Very interesting indeed. I just didn't think that Crown Prince Jing would be at the same restaurant." 
"You acted correctly, young master," replied Teng Zijing. "Though you might have offended some of the scholars with your words, but scholars are always quick to take offense. The people of the capital may think you are arrogant, but it's better than thinking that you are some good-for-nothing."
"Is public opinion that important?" Fan Xian laughed. "Is the Fan family really in such high demand? Is Lady Liu a pure and simple-hearted woman after all?" He looked at Teng Zijing. "These are all problems, but really, they're not my probems."
Teng Zijing was curious. "Young master, what do you consider to be your problems?"
Anxiety crept across Fan Xian's handsome face. "My problems are that I still don't know what my bride-to-be looks like, and whether she's really on death's door."

The carriage stopped in an alley by the side of Tianhe Avenue. All along the road, the government departments were still open for business, the eaves of the buildings swooping like phoenixes, heading towards the horizon. At the far end was an unremarkable square building. It seemed terribly somber. 
Fan Xian had not let Teng Zijing follow him. Although it seemed that he had already made the firm decision to stay by his young master's side, Fan Xian did not fancy himself as some kind of leader of men. After all, he was his father's servant - there were some things he could not allow him to know. 
Next to a vendor's stall selling candied berries, he scoped out the Overwatch Council. He bought a stick of the candied fruits, and gnawed at it as he walked towards it, his toothache subsiding. 
He walked into a bookseller's shop along the way, taking a look around. The books were various classics and histories that he'd read countless times. He approached the shopkeeper. "Do you have Story of the Stone?" he asked in a low voice.
A strange smile appeared on the bookseller's face, and he replied in the same whisper. "Follow me, sir."
With no particular attempt at stealth, they walked into a side room, and the bookseller retrieved a set of books, handing them to Fan Xian. Fan Xian took them and looked at them. They looked a lot like the version he had bought from the old woman earlier. Satisfied, he nodded, and handed over the money. 
"Keep them here for now. Someone from Fan Manor will be along to collect them later." His sister already had a copy at home. The books felt unpleasantly heavy, so he intended to let servants from the house pick them up a while later. 
"Fan Manor?" asked the shopkeeper, somewhat embarrassed.
"Count Sinan's estate, yes." Were there any other Fan Manors? He still didn't know how large the Fan clan was in the capital, if Count Sinan was simply head of a minor branch, or whether it was only over the past decade that, thanks to his grandmother, their prosperity had led them to become the most prominent branch of the Fan clan. 
The shopkeeper respectfully complied, wrapping up the book and placing it under the counter. 
Fan Xian asked a few questions about the bookseller, and the answers the bookseller gave him made him feel uneasy. The bookseller saw that the customer had not immediately left after buying a book, and the chance to chat to a customer made him smile. 
As they chatted, a faint sound made Fan Xian's ears prick up. 
As he smiled and chatted with the shopkeeper, he shifted his zhenqi around, and his ears immediately became more sensitive, until he finally recognized the sound he was scouting out in the quiet environment of the bookshop. 
The sound of breathing, different to any normal person's breathing. 
The breathing was weak, long, and distant. It was clearly someone who knew how to control their zhenqi. Fan Xian knew that it was someone his father had sent to protect or observe him. He frowned. 
The bookseller saw his customer suddenly frown. Although he thought it was a handsome frown, he assumed he had said something wrong, and couldn't help but feel anxious.

Coming out of the rear door of the bookshop, Fan Xian made sure that he had escaped the two footmen behind him. He was quite pleased with himself. He recalled the things he had learned from Fei Jie when he was young. Other than the art of poison, he had learnt how to lose someone who was on his tail - it seemed it had finally come in handy. 
Following the crowds as they walked along the flagstones on Tianhe Avenue, he looked at the buildings on both sides of the street. They were an interesting sight, particularly the space in front of the buildings, where there stood a channel for gently-running water. If you wanted to enter the government offices, you had to walk over a small wooden bridge above the water. 
The gentle waters were like a mirror, reflecting the shadow of the bridge and the branches from the trees that hung over the street. It was quiet and beautiful, and peach blossoms would occasionally float past on the wind, landing on the surface of the winter and being carried slowly along. 
He walked along the side, looking at the flowing water beneath his feet, and a satisfied smile crept across his face. In the few days since he had come to the capital, he had found that all sorts of things were greatly different from what he had originally imagined, and he was tired out. Feeling refreshed by spring in the capital, his spirit had been lifted. 
As he came to the door of the Overwatch Council, he looked at the limestone building and scowled. It wasn't a pretty building, he thought, and it didn't fit in with the interesting-looking buildings with their swooping eaves and strong walls. He couldn't help but admit that the building matched Fei Jie's not-too-pleasant-looking face. 
When he walked in, he noticed that the officials and the "pedestrians" who walked by were all staring at him strangely. 
He looked at himself carefully, making sure that there was nothing about him that might have drawn anyone's attention, and lifted his head high - but the strange looks from people around him had still not subsided. 


A family inclined to kindness and charity would grace the descendants.

They were inside the gondola and it was hard to see the scenery outside. However, the devil could see in the dark, but they didn't do it now since the scenery was the same and it made them a bit bored. 

"I have wanted to ask why some of the vampires seem to be very scared of Loup?" Issei suddenly asked.

Everyone also felt a bit curious since they had only met Loup Garou when they were fighting on the underground of Kuoh Station. 

Koneko had some ideas since her sense of smell was very keen. 

"He is a half-wolverine," Azazel answered. 

"Wolverine!" 

Everyone understood now why the vampire seemed to be scared of Loup Garou.

"Gasper, you're not scared of Loup?" Issei asked. 

Gasper shook his head while hiding behind Issei. 

Yuuki looked at Gasper and wondered whether Gasper and Issei had that kind of relationship. He sighed when he thought the relationship between people in this world was a bit messy. 'Well, I'm not the one who talks though.'

"Now, that you mention it." Irina suddenly remembered something and asked, "I have heard that you're going to become a teacher at Sona's school." 

"Guest teacher, not a teacher, we might not have time to teach every time," Yuuki answered. 

Rossweisse nodded after hearing Irina's question. 

"Guest teacher? What can you teach the student?" Xenovia asked. 

Yuuki felt that Xenovia's marks were really rude, but he wasn't angry. He smiled and said, "I can teach them a lot of things." 

"Such as?" Asia asked. 

"What do you want to know? I can teach you my skill," Yuuki said. 

"...." 

This confident tone made them want to challenge him. 

"How about the music?" Xenovia asked. 

"..." 

Everyone rolled their eyes when they heard Xenovia's question. Who didn't know that Yuuki was a famous musician and that teaching someone about music was very easy for him. 

Xenovia suddenly remembered that Yuuki was a singer and hurriedly said, "Wait! Wait! Let me change my question." She thought for a while and asked, "Martial art? Yes, how about martial arts?"

"...." 

Everyone rolled their eyes again when they heard such a question. 

"I can teach wrestling and baritsu. If swordplay is included then I can teach those three lessons," Yuuki answered.

"Wait? Baritsu? What is that?" Issei asked. 

"It's a martial art of Sherlock Holmes!" Azazel said hurriedly. 

"You can do baritsu?" Rossweisse looked at Yuuki with a strange expression. She didn't know where he had learned Baritsu. 

"We have been to London before, right? I have found a martial art book in the Sherlock Holmes museum and learned it secretly," Yuuki said. 

"What?!" 

They didn't expect Yuuki to be able to find such a thing.

"Can you lend that book to me?" Azazel asked since he was a bit curious about this martial art. He had only heard that it was a combination of boxing with Japanese martial arts, but for the details, he wasn't sure. 

Yuuki shook his head and said, "I have placed it back on London." 

"......." 

"Is it strong?" Loup asked. 

It was a very important question since martial arts were useless if they were weak. 

"How to say, it is good, it isn't bad," Yuuki said. He felt that Baritsu was more into the brain rather than a physical condition. He knew that having a strong body was important, but Baritsu was learning how to be smart during a fight. "But I don't think that you need this martial art since you have been using your magic to blast everything away."

They couldn't refute him since their method of fighting was really wild rather than systematic technique. They were sending out powerful damage to their enemy with a blast of powerful magic rather than fighting using a technique.

Ever since coming to Japan, she has been marveled by the beauty of 100 yen store because she didn't expect there to be such a cheap store in that country. 

"Well, you don't need to worry and I am asking if that request is also for you," Yuuki said. 

"For me?" Rossweisse didn't seem to believe it. She thought that Yuuki had an interest in 100 yen store, but she didn't expect that it was for her. 

"With my magic, it'll be easy for me to build a building for the 100 yen store." Yuuki looked at Rossweisse and said, "After that, you can help me to choose which thing that we're going to sell." 

Rossweisse nodded and seemed to be very spirited. "Leave it to me." 

Yuuki thought to create a recreation place in that area too.

Within each image, a figure emanating a terrifying energy could be seen, and she headed straight for Chu Yu.
"Oh?".
Chu Yu twitched a little. Although he did not feel any malicious intent, he could feel the anger in the strike.
This woman had immediately used her divine sense to attack Chu Yu.
An ancient sword appeared in Chu Yu’s hands.
Rays of sword art sweeped the surroundings.
The reflections and images were shattered into pieces.
Some of the figures that had come out from the images were now in front of Chu Yu.
Chu Yu engaged in combat with these people as they brawled.
With every strike, he knocked away one of them.
But there were too many of them!
Chu Yu sustained a few minor injuries, but his body was fortified to a terrifying extent.
"Not bad!" said a voice of a girl.
She was praising him, but her tone suggested that she was really just mocking him.
With a swing of his sword, a ray of sword art shot straight out.
This was the outcome of his training!
He had finally grasped some of the sword’s legacy.
He now had the chance to test its powers.
Even though he could sense that the opponent had no intention of killing him, her indirect approach to fighting him annoyed him. 
Swoosh!
The sword art was too terrifying!
The mirror shards in the air all shattered within seconds.
All that was left was that figure standing in the air, alone but prideful.
The sword art rushed straight towards her!
The space behind her was cut into two.
The woman finally had some expression on her face.
"That’s a fine technique!" said the woman softly.
As she spoke, a terrifying energy came off her body.
This energy was dense and every bit of it asserted pressure on the space around her.
At the same time, she was retreating.
The space that was split into two was pushing towards her.
The speed was unbelievable!
This was the sword art that had come from Chu Yu’s blade!
Finally, the girl let out a cry as a razor sharp and long sword appeared in her hands. A blade of sword art emerged from it as it fought with Chu Yu’s blade.
Boom!
A thunderous roar resounded in the skies.
Ancient runes rose up as they defended the area.
The girl continued retreating as she exclaimed, "Incredible!".
Chu Yu looked at her and said, "It’s too flat.".
The girl gave a shocked expression as she looked down at her chest.
Her face was now red with fury.
She was infuriated by these words.
"I’m gonna kill you Chu Yu!" shouted the girl as she rushed at him.
Chu Yu laughed as their swords danced together.
"This is the Immortal Slayer Sword Art!".
Elder Black Dragon had appeared and was looking at the battle between the two.
He did not stop them as he knew how powerful this girl was.
Ye Pian Ruo, Bu Jing Hong, Warsong and the rest on the island all appeared behind him.
When they heard what he had said, they all had serious expressions on their faces.
The Immortal Slayer Sword Art was one of the most powerful sword techniques in existence.
It was so lethal that it earned itself the name of the Immortal Slayer.
It was just that there were very few people who could use this technique.
Wasn’t Chu Yu the heir to Confucius and the Crane Saint?
When did he obtain the legacy of a Sword Immortal?
Even though these Sword Immortals were not Saints, they were probably just as terrifying!
However, there were only a few of them left in the world. 
Before this, there were many of them.
The little boy who wanted to become a Saint when he was fifteen looked at him in envy and said, "When I’m as old as him, I will definitely be stronger!".
Miss Qu Ni appeared beside Elder Black Dragon. Looking at the boy through her pair of shades, she smiled and said, "When you grow up, that will naturally happen.".
Elder Black Dragon looked at her and gave off a divine sense that only the two of them could feel, "I never knew that you could lie.".
Without any emotion, she replied, "The boy needs encouragement, I have good intentions.".

My vision is suddenly and unexpectedly restored. "By the Divines," I utter in an unfamiliar baritone voice. The sound of my new voice and bizarre statement causes me to ignore the feeling of having my head stuffed with cotton.


I'm not really sure if the sound of my voice is bizarre or not. It seems foreign and familiar at the same time. This must be a result of mixing thirty years as an American with twenty years of living in Tamriel.


I squeeze my eyes shut for a moment and try to clear my head. I can think of his later.




Refocused, I look down at myself. I'm slightly taller now and feel much more energetic. I've not felt this good in years. I can't say for sure how muscular I am, as the scaled vampire lord armor is covering the majority of my body.




I catch a glance of my reflection in a shop window. Touching my face with a calloused hand, I feel the coarse hairs of my beard. On a light breeze, I catch a subtle smell of leather, coming from my armor.




I picked the noble vampire armor because I liked the look of it in the game, but seeing it in real life... I have mixed feelings. It looks amazing, but there is no mistaking this for anything but armor. Unfortunately, it makes me look like I'm ready for Comic-Con.




This isn't a dream. This is all real.








Other Me, that son of a bitch!




My previously halted anger is back in full force. Other Me thinks he can make me dance to his tune? I may be forced to run his missions for now, but I'm taking every advantage I can to become powerful! Then I'm gonna find that bastard and run my fist down his throat!








I'm pulled from my thoughts of revenge by the sound of metal rattling nearby. All around me, the cobblestones, metal bench, and metal signs seem to be reacting to my anger.








Fearing someone coming to investigate, I take several deep breathes and put thoughts of revenge aside.








With a calmer mind, I assess my situation. Looking down at my armor reminds me of the enchantments I placed on them. The enchantments on my armor are for defense and stamina. My enchanted jewelry is a bit different. I used the potion trick to enchant my jewelry to give me a ridiculous amount of Magicka and health.








Other Me also said he would give me a small subspace, but failed to tell me how to use it. Seeing nothing to lose, I mentally think 'subspace'! An image of a tiny room filled with various items from Skyrim popped into my head. There are numerous items of all shapes and sizes and a towering pile of gold Septims.








I'll have to find a secure place to inspect the items in my subspace. I look around at my surroundings. I find myself standing in a dreary, and narrow, European street. I would guess England, judging by the architecture and English written signs.








A warm breeze carries hints of urban living to my nose. The subtle sounds of a city can be heard farther down the street. But what draws my attention is the three stores across the cobblestone street.








The two stores on the ends are Quinto Bookshop and Ashley Associates Chartered Surveyors. The small store in the middle has an old wrought-iron sign of a cracked cauldron and 'The Leaky Cauldron' written in flowing script.
















Before moving towards The Leaky Cauldron, I recall what Other Me said. This is a crossover universe. The dick didn't say what this universe is crossed with.




I dismiss the idea of going to the bookshop and searching through history books for a couple of reasons. First, I don't have any local currency. Second, I don't want to be seen looking like some cosplay weirdo. The less attention I attract, the better.








Crossing the street to The Leaky Cauldron, I hastily escape the modern-day setting. Stepping into the wizardly pub reminds me of the bars of Skyrim. The common-room is rather small for a pub. There is a rustic and dirty feel to the place, devoid of any sign of modern technology.


Despite all that, it feels rather welcoming. Even the two crusty looking old witches staring at me from their corner seat lacks any hostility.








Making my way around the crudely built wooden tables, I silently move towards the barkeep. I make a side-note to investigate the Muffle enchantment on my boots. I have the Muffle spell from Skyrim, but I would have to cast it every thirty minutes. 








Briefly looking at the bald elderly man standing behind the bar, I can't help but wonder how it's possible to have so many wrinkles.




With a wide toothless smile, the barkeep happily says, "Welcome ta The Leaky Cauldron young man. The names' Tom. What can I getcha?" It took me a moment to piece together what he really said. The toothless British accent is foreign to my American senses.








"Do you have today's paper?" I respectfully asked the cheerful old-man. This seems like a much saner option than asking what the date is.








"Aye, just finished it meself," Tom slides me the folded newspaper."You been in London long?"








Apparently, I'm the one with a foreign accent. "Just arrived," I reply with a casual tone.








Focusing on the newspaper in my hands, I quickly scan the top of the front page. The date is right below the flowing font of 'The Daily Prophet'. Sunday, 1st September 1991.




Today is Harry Potter's first day at Hogwarts. The school year has already started!








I strain to remember as much as I can about the Harry Potter Series, but it's been over ten years since I read the last book. With this being a crossover world, everything I remember may potentially be useless anyway.








Hell, I don't even know if this Harry Potter world is based on the books or the movies!




"Can I getcha something to drink," Tom asks?




Thinking of withdrawing a Septim from my subspace, I feel a slight weight in my right hand. Lifting the crudely stamped gold coin up to Tom, I ask, "Do you accept foreign gold?"




With a look of concentration, Tom lightly takes the Septim from me and places it on the bar. With a flick of his wrist, a long dark wand is in his hand. After casting several spells at the coin, Tom looks up at me with his jolly toothless smile. "Aye, I can accept this."




"I'll have two fingers of aged whiskey," I order as I continue my act of reading The Daily Prophet. I begin thinking about what all I need to do and the things I need.








Tom interrupts my thoughts as he places down my drink. Absentmindedly, I take a sip of the dark liqueur. The soothing taste of berries and the warmth of alcohol distract me from my plans. This is damn good whiskey!








Looking up at Tom, I'm met with a very pleased looking old man. "Beetle Berry Whiskey, bottled in 1983," Tom states with pride. With a nod of my head, I turn back to staring at the paper.




Other Me never gave me a timeline, but something tells me he won't let me wait too long.


If all goes well, I have until the end of spring to prepare for Other Me's mission. The most likely avenue is the job opening for Defense Against the Dark Arts Professor. I think that Goldilocks fraud is the only one that applied for it, so he shouldn't be too hard to beat.




Of course, there is also the curse on the position to be worried about. Maybe I can just banish the ghost that teaches history and take its place the following year?




Something to think about.


Either way, if I'm going to succeed, I'm going to need knowledge and a massive number of books. Those books will not be cheap. Regardless of the type of world, I'm now in, I'm going to need money.








Thinking of finances, I get a wicked idea! I currently have several gold bars in my subspace for immediate cash. With the Transmute: Silver Ore and Transmute: Gold Ore spells, my future finances should be taken care of. For the spell to be successfully cast, I have to use hematite or magnetite. Processed iron won't work.



I'm also going to need a place to live and study. I might even have to purchase a wand to cast the spells of this universe. I really hope not. I'm not fond of the thought of using a crutch.








If I'm forced to use a wand for Hogwarts magic, then I will use my Skyrim spells for combat. I may not be able to cast them as fast as a Hogwarts magic, but I'm sure the Skyrim spells are much more destructive.




Putting thoughts of a wand aside, I quickly form a plan to gain some money. With a tentative plan, it's time to visit Gringotts.








I finish the rest of my whiskey and stand up. I call out to Tom at the other end of the bar, "Excuse me, Tom. Can I trouble you to open the way to Diagon Alley?"








"Course," Tom called as he moved out from behind the bar. Tom leads the way to the back of the bar. Opening a sturdy wooden door, we step out into a small enclosed courtyard.








"Now, just watch, carefully," Tom said over his shoulder.








I intently stare at each brick Tom taps with his wand. If you look close enough, you can see slight indents in the stone bricks, from hundreds of years of witches and wizards tapping them.








As the bricks slide and spin into a large archway, I get my first look at the hidden magical world. Stepping into Diagon Alley, I closely examine the shops and small displays of magic. The waving mannequins were interesting but seemed rather simple when considering the possibilities.








Sadly, I'm not impressed by the alley. It looks more like an 1800's era English village. It's like it never advanced from the time it was created.

I do spot several shops I intend to visit once I have Galleons. The Enchanter in me can't wait to get hold of some of the magical trinkets!








The street isn't crowded at all, despite the numerous robed people moving about the alley. I notice I'm already drawing the attention of a few individuals. It looks like I need a new wardrobe if I hope to blend in.








It doesn't take long before I'm standing before a massive snow-white marble building with leaning pillars. Walking up the few white marble steps, I approach a set of tall burnished bronze doors. Flanking the doors are two pale-skinned goblins in tactfully armored scarlet and gold uniforms.








The bodies of the goblins don't resemble the ones shown in the Harry Potter movies.








These seem much more agile and sinister. They look every bit of capable little warriors.

As I approach, both goblins' bare their teeth and tightly grip the hilts of their weapons. Ignoring the aggressive little warriors, I push open one of the bronze doors and step into a small decorative entrance hall.








At the other end of the small hall is a set of silver doors flanked with another pair of goblin guards. These goblins seem more tolerate as neither one sneer or grasp their weapons. However, they did intently stare at me.


I wonder if goblins are this hostile to every wizard, or if they're acting like this due to my armor?




As I approach the silver doors, one of the goblins steps forth and silently opens the door. Giving the small warrior a nod of acknowledgment, I step into an enormous marble hall. Gold and crystal decorations are tactfully placed along the walls and pillars, giving an impression of a rich and majestic Hall.








On both sides of the hall stand heavily engraved counters, with dozens of goblins moving about. Every goblin is of similar height and wearing a dark suit and tie. Various goblins can be seen counting coins, inspecting gems, or writing in thick leather-bound ledgers.








Walking over to an elderly looking goblin wearing gold-rimmed glasses, I intend to patiently wait for him to finish writing. Before I can reach the counter, his eyes snap towards me.


I'm starting to think the goblins are reacting to me specifically. 




Reading the name on the gold plaque, I respectfully state, "Greetings, Teller Bogrod."








The wrinkled goblin takes only a moment before replying, "Good day to you mister..."








I quickly debate on using my real name or my Skyrim name. Accepting the situation of being merged with my game character, I choose to combine the two names. "I am Xavier Dovahkiin."








I can tell Bogrod is searching his memory for my house name, but I think it's extremely unlikely he will find anything. Unless Other Me messed with more than he let on.

After a few seconds, Teller Bogrod asks, "What is the nature of your business with Gringotts?"








"I am looking to sell gold bars and exchange foreign coins for gallons and local muggle currency." Having stated my purpose, I watch as the small goblin's black eyes widen.








Teller Bogrod resumes a professional attitude. In an equally respectful tone, Bogrod says, "That exchange will not be a problem. I can appraise the gold now."








With a thought, I bring a gold ingot in my right hand and a Septim in my left. Placing them both on the counter, I patiently wait for their appraisal.








After several minutes, Teller Bogrod finishes his appraisal. "Gringotts will exchange your... Septims... At a rate of two Galleons and three Sickles per. The gold bar weighs exactly two kilograms. At current market prices, Gringotts will pay 10,189 Galleons per gold bar. We currently exchange Galleons for the muggle pound at a rate of five pounds per Galleon."








That doesn't seem right. Looking at the pure gold Septim, laying beside the bar of gold, I start to do my own calculations. With the size of the Septim, it would take around four hundred Septims to equal the same weight as the gold bar.




This little crook is trying to royally screw me over!
