A girl inevitably always ends up fighting with her mom on a daily basis. It is worst to the extent that it would be unbelievable if an argument doesn't occur at least once within a day. The fact that the rest of her family weren't even a bit of a comfort to these were added fire to oil. This daily struggle has made her more and more distant to her family that she might not even bat an eye if ever someone in the family dies.

Enidut Pathwarrior stands against 8 Bandits as 3 of them are on top of trees with their arrow aimed at her.

Yet Loren knew that already, so he moved to wispear in Angelina's ears.

That girl quickly understood and began eisxting out of the carriage to take care of those guys.

Not long everyone can hear the sound of those guys screaming in a angoy way.

Loren guards and the Bandits can feel chillies all over their bodies from hearing those screams.

After that 3 dead bandits were thrown in between Enidut Pathwarrior and the rest of the Bandits.

Angelina was on top of the carriage laughing with blood on her.

"Men that girl scares me sometimes hope to never have to fight her." Enidut Pathwarrior thought.   

"Angelina sure knows how to make people fear her don't you think Loren." Cecelia asks."

"All of you are fearsome beings that I had you become and I am proud to say that each one is someone I hold dear to me."

"Loren." Cecelia's love for him grows even stronger from hearing say that.

At that moment Angelina happily came back inside the carriage happily clinging onto Loren as he patted her head.

Cecelia started to get jealous as she too wanted to get Loren's attention as well and he could tell, so he gave her the same treatment then got back to watching the fight that was about to happen.

"So you guys are just going to stand there and piss yourself, I don't have all day to wait."

Enidut Pathwarrior rude words piss off the bandits as that made 4 of them charge at her

"Don't you fucking look down on us Dark elf!." one of the bandits said while swinging his sword at her.

Enidut Pathwarrior smiles as she uses her shield to block that easy attack coming at her.

Then she was next to make her move when swinging the longsword side way at the bandit's stomach slashing it open as that guy fell face forward into the ground.

Enidut Pathwarrior didn't stop there as she went after the next one bandit slashing open his throat allowing the blood to gush out everywhere.

Next one didn't get a chance to attack or defend himself once he became the next target as she cut off an arm then impaled the man in the chest with the longsword.

"She's a goddamn monster!." The last bandit yelled as the man saw the way and easily his comrades were taken down.

He made the decision to just flee as the man doesn't want to say like them, but she wasn't going to allow any bandit to run away and keep their lives.
Enidut Pathwarrior hits the bandit with her shield hard so that there may be a chance you can hear the sounds of bones breaking.

She ends his life stabbing her longsword into his chance once he lands on his back to the ground.

"I hope Loren is watching." she looked to see that he was and showed an impressive expression on his face.

"Yes I am so getting that date." Enidut Pathwarrior happy thought.

When done was that girl she turned to the rest of the group standing in a state of shock as that was just fine with her as she charged at them.

"My lord should we not add the girl against these bandits." one of Loren's guards asks.

"There is no need to help Enidut Pathwarrior, she has been trained to be the best to fight and beside you guys will just be in her way making the girl have to hold back do you understand."

"Yes sir." the guard answered Loren as he and the rest kept on watching her fight the bandits.

The fight before them was like watching a monster slaughter innocent people as that made the guards pity the Bandits.

Soon Enidut Pathwarrior stood standing among the dead bandits covered in their blood with a happy expression on her face.

There was silence as no dare to say a word after seeing what they just saw, but that silence was broken by the sounds of hands clapping.

"Well done, you certainly have earned that reward." Loren tells her.

"Yay!!." Enidut Pathwarrior was happy and quickly ran up to the said of the Carriage to kiss Loren in the mouth.

Loren did not mind the blood on her as the two kissed for only a moment.

When down kissing Enidut Warrior returns back to her horse and Loren asks Cecelia to cast a spell to remove the tree blocking their way while he orders the guards to clear the dead bodies of the dead bandit.

All that is done they resume back on their journey.

After a long journey the group have finally reached Raista Kingdom.

"Even if this kingdom is weak, I have to say it looks lovely when I come to see it."

"When I am done with this place Cecelia it no longer be seen as a weak Kingdom."

"As expected from Prince Loren, I am sure the people from this kingdom will be grateful to have you."

While they were talking the carriage was passing through the streets of Raista where the people standing by the side were amazed and welcoming to Loren.

Loren thought to return the favor by waving back to the people, he must wear the mask well to fool the people around him.

It is not the right time to show who he truly is to them yet.

While that was happening inside the castle of Raista is where Hannah, daughter of the king and queen, listened to the people cheering and welcoming the king's third son Loren.

"Your future husband has arrived, lady Hannah, are you happy." the maid asks while brushing her hair.

"Happy you ask me, how can one be happy to set up to marry a stranger to someone they have never met in life."

She answered the maid as the girl was looking dispress as it was being shown by the mirror in front of her.

"My lady, it is not all bad, surely there can be good from this marriage to come."

"What good, I being forced no choice in this matter by my own father to marry a bastard son of King Vernon who I doubt has any power in that family, I mean, I should be engaged to one the twin brothers they at least have power that I can use to help the kingdom."

"There is nothing that can be done my lady, it has already been agreed between the fathers of both sides. Who to say there any way for a young smart lady like yourself to help the third son rise to power and gain better benefits to the kingdom."

The maid told Hannah of this idea, but the girl still has the same expression on her face.

"How can I love a stranger where there is someone else I love in my heart."
"My lady, I am sorry to say this, but as a close friend to you, you must move on and try your best to forget about him."

Hannah then became sad, but she knew what the maid spoke was hard to hear yet needed to be said.

"Now let use get you ready and pretty to meet your future husband."

The maid helps Hannah get dressed and look beautiful for Loren as the two along with others make their way to the throne.

"Ah there she is my beautiful daughter." the king said as everyone turned their heads to look at her.

Even Loren looks to see her slanted eyes the color of ripe tangerines. Her luxurious, curly, scarlet hair is short and is worn in a practical, precise style. 

She is tall and has a graceful build along with china-white.

Hannah gets a good look and feels a little relieved.

"Well at least is he not ungly." she thought as the girl walked to him.

Loren took her hand.

"I am happy to finally meet you Hannah Nola Reeves." After that Loren kisses her hand.

Cecelia, Endiut Pathwarrior and Angelina were a little unhappy to see some of the girls be treated in such a way, but not show it on their faces.

Hannah notices them seeing a human girl, a dark elf girl and last a demon girl all they look beautiful this made the girl immediately have the impression that Loren is a playboy as she quickly retrieves her hand back from him.

Loren notices that, but does not yet understand why she did that as he prey too much into it.

"Now that everyone has begun the welcome celebration." the king annoweds

"Before that my king there are some gifts that I like to give out." Loren snaps his finger where guards began walking in the throne room.

There were three chests being carried by two at each side as it was placed before the king and queen.

They then open the chest to show them that it is filled with gold and jewelry.

The king and queen were amazed at how much that was inside.

'This is...  prince Loren there is no need to give us gifts like this." the king said still at the chests.

"But I wish to do this as I will one day be a part of this family and there is still more to give."

"More!?." the king was shocked to hear the guards bright fine crafted armor and weapons.

"These are gifts for your men to wear as they have been crafted by our kingdom's best blacksmith."
Lore guards show the king as he becomes amazed how well their blacksmith work.

So the king ordered his own guard to receive them and pass them on to the rest of the men.

"Of course, I did not forget my future wife and brother in-law." Loren said while a rare looking sword was brought to Hannah half brother who was there in the throne room.

He was amazed by the sword and how rare it looked to him.

"I am grateful for this gift brother Loren." he said, bowing his head to Loren in repacte.

"I am happy you like it and now for Hannah.'' One of Loren's guards carried a pillow with a necklace on top of it to bring it to her.

"I hope this will be to your liking Hannah." Loren asks while seeing her look at the necklace before her.

"I am as well grateful to have received such a lovely gift from you, my future husband."

Not needed to say a word one of her maids take the pillow holding the necklace then stand back beside Hannah.

Loren looks at her and can tell she does not seem to be too impressed with the necklace and wonders if her feelings about this engage her.

"Thank you! My son for the loving gifts." the king gives a loving hug to Loren.

Loren sees that it is working, playing his part well to gain these people love and trust all, but one his future wife to be.

"Now then let us begin the celebration."

"Nakia Oliver", why she choose this name, why I feel so much pain in my chest when I see her in that state.
I was at my office, then someone knocks on
the door, " come in", I said in reply.

PA Pattinson came in and said, " boss this file contains all the information related to Ms. Kiefer Samuel, " and hand over the file to me.

I put that file on my desk and thought why I'm so curious to know about her, why so, why all of this thing is happening to me... it's already 1 week since we met and throughout this week I was so restless...its nothing like me... I'm not like this at all and I got frustrated with all these alien emotions which I'm experiencing right now.

"let's go Pattinson", I asked PA Pattinson to drive my car and left the office.


KIEFER POV

After telling everything to Cecelia I planned to give a visit to my dear father, I looked at his photograph and said, " Heaven Samuel, let's see what will you say in your defense when we meet, will you except your mistake or you will just ignore me...that will determine your future, as your future will be in my hands....its just matter of time when it will happen".

before that, I called Cecelia and told her, " Cecelia from today onwards you will be my personal assistant cum, my team member, in other words, you will be my face that means Nakia Oliver face, for the general public and when the time will be right, I'll come forward".

and she agreed to this arrangement as she was getting various chances to be with his God, it was a win-win situation for both of us.

suddenly my phone started to ring and saw it was an unknown number flashing on the screen. and I just picked it
"Hello," I said, 
"Hello Nakia, Davis this side", once I heard the other person voice my heart started to beat fast, his voice was like an energy drink for me making my blood pressure to rise.
" Hello Davis, what can I do for you", I replied back
"Agreement has been ready we just have to set our meeting time, so that we can officially become partners", he said.
" sure so I'll meet you at your office in a couple of hours, I have some unfinished busy to attend right now", I said with hesitation, I thought to be will be upset as I set the meeting time on my own without asking whether he will be free at that time or not.

But to my surprise, he just agreed with me and said, " sure, I'm not at my office I'll reach there in 2 hours then we can meet and discuss further", 
"Okay then, bye," I said.
"bye", he replied.

and said Cecelia to arrange various document needed for the meeting and told her to meet me directly at the office in 2 hours as she is going somewhere to finish her business.

and she left for Samuel house.

At Samuel house gate, she asked the security guard to pass on the message to Mr. Heaven Samuel that, " just tell him, his daughter Keifer Samuel has come to meet me" when guard heard her he was showing a confused look as, since last two decades, there was only one Ms. Samuel and that was Katherine Samuel then who is this girl who is calling her self Ms. Samuel.

Even though he was in doubt, but he dialed house number on telecom and pass on the message to the maid to convey the same to Mr. Samuel.

When maid got this message she was also confused and thought the girl who was calling herself Ms. Samuel, must be a scammer, so in place of going to Heaven Samuel, she went to Katherine Samuel, and convey the same message.

At that time Katherine was pampering herself and she heard the message to got scared and showed the same in the form of anger and through everything on the floor and mirror was scattered on the floor and she gave a fears look to the maid and said, " are you maid, since last decade, you are working here, in that year have you ever heard this name Kiefer Samuel or have ever seen her in this house or any photo of her, she must be a scammer, just threw her out of the house and don't let her ever come back to our house ", after bearing Katherine words maid was fully confident that, the girl at the door is a scammer.

She conveyed the same message to a security guard. after hearing the response from the house security guard became aggressive towards Kiefer and threw her out of the house and told her never to come back as she was a scammer.

when Kiefer left the house it suddenly started to rain and she was just roaming on the street with confused looks and sit down at the bus station.

At the same time, Davis White was traveling from the same route he just noticed that some girl was just sitting at the bus stop without an umbrella but after a quick look at her...He just happened to shout at PA Pattinson to stop the car, " Stop the car, and pulled it back at the bus stop", he said in a panicked voice. So PA Pattinson just followed the orders and pulled the car back at the bus stop.

when he saw Keifer he just came out of the car and pulled Kiefer in the car and covered her with his coat as she was all wet in the rain.

and called out for her, "Kiefer are you mad what were you trying to do", it was like he was just talking to himself there was no response from Kiefer so he just holds her shoulder and started to shake her and said, " Nakia are you listening to me I'm talking to you"

when she heard her Nakia name has been called out she started to cry and hold Davis in a hug and said in sad voice....why he is not recognizing me as his daughter, why he is not ready to meet me...not ready to see me, why this is happening to me...first he just left me and mom to suffer on our own then he again got married to someone else and gave birth to another daughter.....all this didn't affected us...but after mom passed away...after that also he is not ready to accept me...not ready to recognised me", and she cried her heart out in Davis embrace and went to sleep.



DAVIS POV

I think I just saw Keifer sitting by herself in this heavy rain on the bus stop...i just didn't think about my imagine and ran towards her and pulled her in my embrace and suddenly she started to cry and I don't know what should I do to console her...i just hold bee in my embrace and let her cry and after that she just fell to sleep.
after that, I promised her that I'll always be her side and never let anything to happen to her ill support her...guide her...groom her so that she will become Nakia Oliver who will surely take back what belongs to her and only her.

when she fell asleep I kissed her and said in low voice, I Love You, Nakia Oliver... I don't know whether I'm doing it right to keep it to myself but one day I will make you fall in love with me.

Kiefer Samuel,  a girl lived in countryside growing up with his mother, finds that she's actually  the daughter of a wealthy family.  Her father is Heaven Samuel who lives with another family in B town. 

Kiefer is a talented girl who completed his study from the top medical university of the country M and also studied ancient medical practice.

Mean while, Davis White, heir of the white family business( white pharma Inc.)  plans to start new venture with the help of new talent in medical field. while searching for these talent he came across Kiefer Samuel straight A student with medical knowledge of modern and ancient practice and setup a meeting for the venture agreement. 

When he laid his eyes on Kiefer he got enchanted with Kiefer beauty. 
Kiefer has long hair length till her waist,  with blue eyes,  height of 5"7' which attracted Davis  towards her.


" I want us to start business in B town only" I said with full determination. Davis looked at me with confused look as he was planning to start it in town A.
"may I ask why"
"MY BUSINESS IN NOT FINISHED HERE YET and I'll appreciate  if you keep my details in dark ".

Nina's POV:
It is 7 am in the morning, and the sun is burning holes in my fragile eyes. Waking up early had never been my thing. If I can, I would avoid the glorious morning sunlight altogether. Unfortunately, the grinning man sitting beside me didn't let me sleep in.

I'm driving Matt to some party at a fancy hotel. He told me I could be his plus one and when I said no, he bribe me with food. Honestly, I just think he needs a ride there.

But seriously, who do parties at 7 am in the morning? That's so weird! Then, he keeps pestering me how we don't hang out enough. Apparently, I put my fiance before friends. Sadly, that isn't a total lie.

As I drove him to the hotel, we would catch up on irrelevant things. Even when I don't know much about him, I know enough. I know he is the sweetest but meanest guy I ever met. He likes to tease me, a lot. When he does, I'm not entirely sure how to feel about it. One part of me gets all girly giggly that a guy like him would pay attention to a girl like me, but the other part wants to punch him in the face. I'm a woman of many emotions.

I also know when he tightens his lips and rub his chin, it means he is in deep thoughts. Once he is in the zone, as I call it, it's hard to get his attention. A fire can occur, and he wouldn't even notice.

He enjoys playing soccer in his free time with his friends. As far as I know, he is good at everything. Whether it's math, science, football, swimming, or anything we do together. He does it like a professional.

I hate people like him so much.

He also likes to drink straight black coffee, preferably homemade ones. Which I still don't understand why black coffee is just ugh.

But he told me, his new favorite is black coffee with one small teaspoon of almond milk.

I remember how good it feels when I told him "I told you so" Which he responds with an eye roll .

When we arrive, I stare at the hotel. Pretty fancy looking hotel. Matt gesture me to follow him, and I did. When we got into a hotel room, everyone was still asleep. Matt checked his phone and told me it was 7 pm not 7 am. Like what the hell Matt who has a party at 7 am in the morning?

I smack him angrily in the head when he told me. He pouted and ordered me breakfast as an apology. While we were eating breakfast in comfortable silence, I heard loud screams and a door slam.

"Do you think someone is fighting outside?" I said as I ate my fluffy pancakes.

"Maybe. Want to check it out?" He replied shoving in a mouthful of eggs.

I sat there debating for a few second and nod. I wanted to see some morning drama.

When we open the door, my eyes widen with shock. He was standing there half naked with hickeys and bite marks on him. I can hear my heart shattering into millions of pieces as I walked out the door.

"Kevin?" I can hear my voice break as I step out the door. He stood there with his mouth hung open, shock to see me. I trail my eyes over to a beautiful blonde girl with a sheet covering her body.

"How could you do this to me" I whisper as I looked back at him.

"Honey listen!" He frantically put his hands up in the air dropping his shoes and shirt

"Listen?! Listen?! I would love to hear your explaination!" Sarcasm.

"Babe it's not like that!" He places both hands on my shoulder.

I removed his hands and gave him a bitter laugh, seeing the hallway in a blur "Really? You're telling me, her chasing out towards you wearing nothing but a bed sheet is nothing!? There are fucking bite marks and hickies on you!? How could you do this to me, Kevin! How?!?"

"What about you huh? What the fuck are you doing here in a hotel with another guy. I knew something was going on between you two" he pointed at Matt.

I gave him another painful laugh. Is he really fucking turning this on me? "Do you think you have the right to say that?" I growled.

"I don't think I know" he hovers over me with anger, but fuck him. I'm angry too.

"What are you saying?" I clenched my teeth in anger. No, I'm past angry. I'm fucking pissed.

"I'm saying you're fucking him. I knew there was something between the two of you the day I met him. Fucking friend my ass. You think I'm blind? I see the way you two look at each other. How you gave him hugs. That fucking matching necklace around both of your necks. All those gifts you got! How fucking stupid do you think I am!" He screamed right into my face as he shot me a glare with hate in his eyes.

"We went over this! Matt and I are just friends!" I screamed back louder than I ever had in my whole life.

"No you two aren't just fucking friends! I can fucking see it in his eyes! He wants to fuck the shit out of you when I'm out of the picture or maybe he already had" he growled.

I raised my hand up high, my palm connected with the flesh of his cheeks, letting out a loud smack. As I put my hand down, I can feel the stinging sensation spreading across my palm "Don't fucking say that about Matt!"

"Still fucking defending him aren't you. Tell me. How good was his dick!?!"

"Shut up!" I shrieked.

"Don't think I don't fucking know. Going out to celebrate a friend's birthday? Spending time with friends in New York? Going on vacation with friends? He was fucking there the whole time fucking you, wasn't he. Just admit it." he slowly said in a deep threatening voice. One that I had never heard before during all my years with him.

Cecelia rushed out of the room and towards us "What's wrong?" she gave me a worried look.

His eyes widen as he saw Cecelia "You're not here alone with him?" He said slowly as his hands caress his stinging red cheek.

"Unlike you, I don't come here alone with another person and lie about it, then accuse someone else!" I spat out.

He held my hand, and I snatch it away "Baby look. It was a mistake. I didn't know what happen last night! One minute I was taking a sip of the alcohol and the next I just blackout! I swear! I'm sorry about what I said between you two. I was angry when I saw both of you out came out of the hotel room together."

I wanted to believe him, I really do. My heart aches for him. Tears were forming in his eyes as he grabs my arm "Please boo please believe me" his voice, broken, and his eyes no longer held hate.

I felt a warm hand pulling me back, looking up I saw Matt "Do you think you have the right to have her, after what you did?"

"This is none of your fucking business. This is between my fiancé and me" Kevin growled

"Ex-fiancé," I snarled as I threw the engagement ring at his face.

He stood there, stunned, as the ring hit him. "Boo" his sad voice caused a sharp pain in my heart. It took every ounce of my energy to turned my heels and head towards the elevator. As soon as the elevator door close, tears roll down my cheeks. Sliding down in the corner of the elevator, millions of questions circles my mind.

Am I ugly? Is he sick of me? Did I not pay enough attention to him? Was I not giving enough? Why would he think something was going on between Matt and I? Does he not love me anymore? He was supposed to be my the one. Why would he do such a thing?

Dragging my heavy legs out of the hotel, I felt the same warm hand on my wrist. I looked up, and Matt was breathing heavily. He probably ran after me. "Let me take you home."

I nod as he grabs my hand heading towards my car. We drove in silence as I continue sniffling. I look out the window in an attempt to hide my hideous face, but I know he can see it. Closing my eyes, I can hear the drops of rain hitting the window.

When we pulled to a stop, my eyes slowly open. "Thank you for the ride, but this is my car you know. Return it soon" I chuckle humorlessly.

"Do you want me to stay with you tonight?"

I shook my head "I don't think that will be a good idea."

It really wouldn't be a wise idea letting another guy stay at my apartment the day I break off with my fiance. As I reach for the door handle, I realize the apartment light was on. My hands started shaking, realizing he is in there.

"Do you want to stay at my place tonight?" Matt said as he looked at my apartment. I nodded looking down at my empty left finger. He rubs a tear running down my cheeks and drove me to his place as he held my hand, covering it.

Matt didn't say a single thing. He would tightly hold my hand as I silently cry, inhaling through my stuffed nose. We would listen to the quiet music in the background.

When we got to Matt's hotel, I sat there, staring at my feet as tears continue dripping down on my already wet lap. I heard a slamming door bringing me back to reality. He walked over to my side and opened the door.

"Thanks, M-"

He scooped me up into his arms as he handed a man my keys. "Matt, what are you doing?" I said in a dry, broken voice as I wrap my arms around his neck, afraid to fall.

"Showing you how you should really be treated" he tightens his arms around me. As he walks towards the elevator, I can tell people were staring at us.

Looking up, I realize how defined his face is and how tan he gotten compare to when he first arrived here. Pulling myself closer to him, I can smell sugary peppermint and sweet apple cologne.

"Happy Birthday Matt!" I screamed as I threw the confetti in the air.

He chuckles slightly "So this is why Justin kept me out all day."

"Yup! Do you like it?!?" I clasped my hands together and took a step aside. There was colorful light up balloons everywhere as the walls were filled with ribbons and ground filled with confetti.

I walked back into the kitchen and ran out with a birthday hat, placing it on top of Matt's head. Which wasn't easy considering he was 6ft tall. He bends down slightly as I went on my tippy toe.

He laughs loudly as he adjusted the pointy hat "Nina I'm turning 28 not 8."

"Come on! Show a little appreciation, I almost end up in the ER blowing up all these balloons for you!" I threw up hands up in the air, frantically pointing at the millions of balloons.

He smile at me and kissed my forehead lightly "Thank you. I love it."

I blasted him a smile, grabbing his hand, and lead him to the table fully decorated "Close your eyes and wait here," he nods, closing his eyes. I ran into the kitchen and grab the cake, lighting up the candles.

"Don't peek!" I screamed.

"I can't promise that!" he screamed back.

Turning off the lights, the balloons light up brighter. I walked back into the living room with the cake, slowly walking towards Matt:

"Happy Birthday to You

He opens his eyes as a smile cross his face "You sound like a dying cat" he said as he bit his lower lips.

"Oh shush! Make a wish and blow out your candle!" I place the cake in front of him as he closed his eyes clasping both large hands together as if he is a little boy making a wish for a new bike.

I couldn't help but stare at him as the candlelight hits his face. His lips tighten as he attempts to hold back a smile. My heart continues racing as it did every time I'm near him. No matter how much time I tell it to stop, it never did. I simply learn to mask my feelings.

He opened his eyes and blew out the candles.

"Okay! Present time!" I got up and sat next to him. Reaching under the table, I pulled out a neatly wrapped box. He shot me another smile and unwrap the box, pulling out the cologne.

"Woah! Why is it so dark in here!" The light flicker back on and I jumped back immediately falling on my bottom.

As he took a step in the elevator, I burst into tears when I knew we were alone. I tighten my grip on him, pulling myself into his chest as he whispers small comforting words in my ears.

When the elevator door open, showing a few people, they were feeling quite awkward with the situation. Well, they weren't the one who caught the love of their life cheating.

"Take the next one" I heard Matt firmly said.

Initially, I was only going to stay for one night but next thing I know, it turns to two and then three. Matt has been so supportive these past few days. He lets me stay at his place and feed me. He doesn't yell at me when I leave a mess all over the place or lay on his bed wearing the same clothes. He would call me, message me, and regularly check up on me. I always thought our friendship is weird due to my intense attraction to him. But he has been a really good friend.

"Selena anong nangyari? Bat ka umiiyak? Tanong ni Steve kay Selena. "Isa ba yang princepe o princesa?nasan ang isa?" Excited na tanong ni Cecelia. "Steve,patay ang princesa natin..." umiiyak na sagot ni Selena. 
Walang nagawa sila Steve at Cecelia Kundi umiyak at niyakap si Selena Habang tinitignan ang bata. "Papangalanan natin siyang Tristan" sabi ni Steve Habang hawak ang bata. "Welcome to the world our Prince Tristan" sabi ni Queen Mother Cecelia Habang naka Ngite na tumingin sa bata.

Lurking in the woods, Zhang Tie was covered with a waterproof overcoat. He buried himself under snow and kept gazing at the castle down there quietly. 

This was the second day since Zhang Tie came here. After leaving the airship, Zhang Tie dodged from crowded roads. After darkness fell, he returned from Wilderness to Blackhot City. Zhang Tie didn't enter the city; instead, he just lurked outside the city and kept his eyes on Abyan's castle. 

After staying in Blackhot City for a few days, Zhang Tie had acknowledged many information about master Abyan.

After becoming a orange-robe pharmacist, airship had become master Abyan's traffic tool. He visited and returned from Nordinburg by airship this time. Therefore, Zhang Tie could only choose to ambush master Abyan in his castle. 

That was a castle full of evils. After inquiring about master Abyan's message carefully, Zhang Tie learned that some people died in his castle every year due to various reasons since over one decade ago when master Abyan became well-known. Angel and the other girls of Rose Association who were killed were neither the first batch nor the last batch.

Of course, death was a very serious problem for others, however, it was trivial in master Abyan's eyes. With his special status as a pharmacist, master Abyan was always good at human relationships. Therefore, he could easily establish relationships with the most powerful ones and became the top guest of those people no matter who was ruling Blackhot City. Zhang Tie kept waiting and observing quietly in the distant woods. He drunk one vial of all-purpose medicament in each three hours so as to maintain his best physical strength and state. He kept waiting there like a wild wolf and stealthily changed his locations in the chilly woods. 

Until the dark fell and the temperature started to drop did those people return to their vehicles and left. After waiting for another few hours, the castle recovered silence while lamps gradually blacked out. At midnight, when almost everyone fell asleep, Zhang Tie finally stood up from the snow field. 

After stretching his limbs, Zhang Tie put on the dark tore gloves. Additionally, he started a "rapid moving skill" and "hiding skill".

With rapid moving skill, Zhang Tie moved faster and more swiftly. With hiding skill, Zhang Tie lowered his Qi by one level, enabling him more difficult to be found and sensed. 

With Zhang Tie's dark vision, evening became as clear as daytime. 

Zhang Tie soon arrived at the exterior manor of master Abyan's castle after flashing less than 2 km. In the evening, some people had started to go on patrol in the exterior manor. However, they were just small figures. They could only prevent commoners from entering the castle. Therefore, Zhang Tie easily flashed across the manor and came to the wall of the castle, which was as high as dozens of meters. 

The defense of the castle begun stricter from here. Some people were standing on the high wall. Additionally, some soldiers were going on patrol near here. Zhang Tie then came to the dark foot of a high bartizan outside the high wall and started to climb up.

With a terrifying strength, iron-blood battle Qi and that pair of dark tore gloves, Zhang Tie firmly seized the exterior granite wall like grabbing rotten wood and clay sculpture. He easily inserted his fingers into the solid rocks and kept climbing up.

Like a swift gecko moving in the dark, Zhang Tie soon reached below the crown-sized shooting mouth at the top of the bartizan which was higher than 40 meters. As long as Zhang Tie raised his head, he could see the part of steaming ballista that stretched out of the shooting mouth.

Through the shooting mouth, he could see light and hear human voice.

The moment Zhang Tie moved closer to the shooting mouth, he heard the sound of opening door and a fricative sound of leather shoes stepping on the floor. 

"Head, why are you here? It's so late..."

"Hmm, it's the remained roasted goose of the banquet. I asked Wella to bring some here. It's a bit cold, but you can still eat it..."

Muffled cheers then drifted from the ballista.

"Ah, those rich men are really wasteful. How could they throw such delicious food? We cannot always enjoy such good food!" Zhang Tie heard a voice mixed with a chewing sound. 

"After enjoying it, be careful on your work. Keep your eyes widely opened until the next shift!"

"Don't worry, head!"

"Head, when will you marry Wella?"

"Idiot. If Wella gets married to the head, she won't make good food for us in the kitchen!" a voice broke...

"Ah, I found a female cook in the kitchen. She's nice, white skin and big breasts. Head, can you ask Wella to introduce her to me?"

Zhang Tie lay in the shadow below the shooting mouth of the ballista. Until that 'head' left the bartizan in about 5 minutes did Zhang Tie detour to the other side of the bartizan. He came onto the wall of the castle through the stairs of the bartizan and slid into the castle along the wall.

This castle was almost as large as Jinwu Castle. It was very difficult to find a specific target in hundreds of rooms. He might expose himself at any time.

Therefore, the best way was to have someone lead him there.

Commoners didn't work, the steward of this castle was the most proper one. 

As for such a castle, when the owner returned and invited his guests in the evening, the steward could not take a rest until all the guest left and his owner went to bed. Therefore, the steward's room must black out in the end.

Zhang Tie was very familiar with such a sound caused by collision between fleshes.

Zhang Tie glanced at the inside of the room and saw an old douchebag colliding a woman's butts while pressing her on the sofa.

He showed his disgusting, loose and fatty butts while sweating all over. That woman was still wearing a servant's black-and-white uniform.

After a few minutes, the old asshole stopped while panting and cramping heavily.

"Cecelia...trust me, the manor outside the city needs an inspector. You can send your brother to have a try over there next week..." the old guy opened his mouth after resting for a few minutes.

The female servant remained silence in the whole process. She silently put on her skirt and helped him clean his body. Before leaving the room, she said in a low voice, "Thanks, steward, please...please don't tell my younger brother about this!"

"Don't worry. As long as you follow my order, I will not tell anything to your younger brother!"

When the female servant left, the old guy even touched her butts before seeing her off with a greedy look. 

Hearing the name Cecelia, Zhang Tie prayed silently for some bad-luck guy. What an utilitarian world! Between some young men who enjoyed eating the remained roasted goose left by the guests on the bartizan and a disgusting, fatty old guy who had some power over personnel affairs, any slightly beautiful female cook preferred to climb onto this old guy's bed.

That young man's strength felt like that of a strong adult while the old guy's neck was like a slim candle. As long as the young man used his strength, the old guy's neck would be broken.

The steward started to struggle; however, it was useless as a fly could never push down a city wall. 

"If you want to survive and follow my order, then you nod; if not, I will kill you right now!"

Before the old douchebag was suffocated, he heard Zhang Tie's sound. Although being too weak to struggle, he tried his best to nod.

Zhang Tie then slightly loosed his grip, allowing him to take a breath. 

"Who...who are you, what..what do you want?" after recovering his composure a bit, the old man watched Zhang Tie with a terrified look.

"You don't need to know who I am. I'm here only to chop off Abyan's head. As I don't know the road in the castle, please lead me there!" Zhang Tie said calmly.

"Ah..no way..." the old man changed his face right away.

Zhang Tie then replied with a smile, "You might have not figured it out. From now on, if you want to save your life, you'd better pray that I could chop off Abyan's head!"

"How come that be?"

"Why not? You only have three choices now; Don't follow my order, pretend to follow my order and play tricks or follow my order. If you choose the first one, I will kill you right away; if you play tricks, I will kill you too; if you follow my order but If I fail, Abyan will kill you. Therefore, you should know that the only chance for you to survive tonight was to pray for Abyan's death!"

He just said "Same" and had the same dull expression. I attempted a few more time yet failed to talk to him at the end. "Angelica dear, are you okay with Victor walking to school with you together to school tomorrow ?"asked mrs Curtis. "But what about Victor? Is it okay with him?" I asked. Mrs Curtis said "He'll be okay with it. Right?" Victor nodded okay but his facial expression showed he doesn't want to. I actually didn't want to as well but for my mom who was excited about the idea as well, I agreed. Or she would have just chopped me to piece. I guess Victor was in the same situation as well. 

Mrs Curtis and mom were happy. It seems they became close friends already and they wanted me and Victor to be close friends as well. I guess this place will be a great new start for my new life, this place will be my home.

We had gotten down and were helping in the kitchen. This Matthew guy actually turned out more fun and open than I thought. It had only been an hour since we got down from the tower (that's what we decided to call the roof) and he was already starting to get along with everyone, but there's something about him that seems a little off and forced. But, I still think this year is going to be a fun one.

"Reginald stop!" I turned around to see Matt running towards me.

"Are you serious? There is nothing left to the potato. How did you even peel it to get it to this state." He pointed as he took the miniscule ball of potato from my hands about the size of my thumb nail.

"What? At least I'm helping. I'm sure you can't even-" I look at his finely peeled and precisely cut vegetables.

"…What?"

"Whoa Matt, are you like secretly a mother or something?"

"What? … I'm male. I can't give birth."

"Hahahaha. Learn to take a joke bro!"

I look at him and smiled as I saw him and the others laughing. "Reginald I'm putting you on washing duty. . . Huh, why didn't I think of this before?" I looked up to see Sister Isabella taking the knife from my hand and pushing me over to the sink where I would wash the other vegetables. Turning around I looked at all of them and spoke my mind.

"You're all just jealous that I can make a beautiful, smooth, and round potato."

"He's right. Even I don't know how to make something to make a potato this round and circular." I looked back at Matt and seeing him praise my beautifully sculpted potato marble made me proud. I did not care about the other's laughter for I am proud of my amazing talent. (I have more talents just in case you're wondering)

"By the way I will only talk to those who has seen my amazingness and admitted that I am very talented, like my good pal Matthew. Ain't that right Matt?" I put my arm around his shoulder, raised my head high and they all laughed… again. I couldn't hold it in me anymore so I laughed as well making the kitchen a joyous place once more.

Well Father Joshua did say that I had a knack in making people happy, might as well put my talent (just another one of them) to good use.

I looked over at Matt to see him glare at the food like it was some sort of foreign object. it amused me for a while… okay it amused me a lot, but hey it wasn't my fault his face looked of an unsure mixture of terror and amazement. I leaned over enough so he could hear what I said in a whisper

"It's okay it won't kill you, but the fish eyeball might."

"What?!!!"

"I'm just joking *laughs* that's just carrots, flower petals, and sauce. It tastes better than it looks."

I looked at him trying to swallow the first then gobbling up the rest. I laughed at the thought of how much he had reminded me of my cousin.

It was a hot summer's day, the sun rays bouncing of the dew on the grass and my cousin, Charles, was once again as active and hyper as always. He was insisting that I joint the others to play but it was too hot and I was too tired and lazy to even stand up. I almost fell asleep under the tree until my father came to get us for lunch.

I'm proud to say that most of my family were happy and kind hearted people (not like that town clerk with a permanent stick up his butT!) I say most because our grandmother, Amelia, is pretty cranky. Well she did just lose her husband and could no longer walk because of her old age, don't get me wrong I don't hate her or anything I just wish that she was like how she was before. A kind, giving and cheerful grandmother and not a pessimistic emo-like one. *shhhh – puts index finger on lips*. Don't tell her I said that.

Yes, I do help her out the best I can; after all, I still love her. Even if she has changed drastically she is still my Amma Amelia – that's what I used to call her when I was a child, I don't say it out loud but I still think it.

Anyway, we had arrived at the dining table where the two brothers, my and Charles' fathers, we fighting again. They usually fight about tiny and useless things, yesterday they had fought about if they should cut the potato seeds into 4 or 6 pieces each before planting them on the ground, they had reached a conclusion of: the big ones get cut into 6 pieces and the small ones 4 pieces.

To tell you the truth that was the opinion I had thought of and told them, I mean, who wouldn't get tired of 2-3 hours straight of debating about slicing potatoes.

I had done the rest of the family a favor and am proud of it once again. s(-^o^-)z   sfx. HOHOHO.

As soon as the plates and food were set on the table we said our grace and dug in, well, all except Charles. He had that look of distrust on his face as he looked at the Foie gras.

Just in case you might not know… Foie gras is a food product made of the liver of a duck or goose that has been specially fattened. It looks way better than how I describes it as and tastes way better as well…

"Mom what is this?" he said as he pocked the Foie gras. And again, very amusing.

"Charles just eat up. You need the nutrition." Aunt Cecelia said while taking his plate to cut his food into smaller pieces.

"Mom you don't need to do that!"

"Shush, it is to make sure you eat your food. look at your cousin, he is eating his why can't you eat yours."

"But mom…"

"No buts."

I couldn't hold in my laughter that was on the verge of bursting and accidentally gave off a slight chuckle. And if stares could kill, I would already be dead.

I looked away hoping that he would just look at his food and when he did I immediately look a slice and shoved it into his mouth. I knew that he might never forgive me but it was worth it. His reaction was classic, it even made grandma Amelia laugh.

It wasn't until he had swallowed it that his face morphed into an ecstatic look and started gobbling up the rest which made the room burst into laughter once more.

When we had finished Charles but his hand on my shoulder and said.

"Don't ever do that again I'll just let you off the hook this time." When he went back outside to continue playing games with his pals, William, my dad, had called on me to help him and Uncle Rupert carry some stuff into the storage room.

After placing the last box down on the floor I look around to see if there had been anything interesting. Aside from all antiques and jars on the shelves and useless junk scattered all over the place, there were two things that caught my eye.

The first thing was a picture frame that was facing the floor and the other was a small chest about the size of two fists. I walked over to the more interesting one, the box, after dusting off the dirt from the surface, which by the way looked awesome – like a small gold encrusted forest -  I continued on to look inside it. "Is everything alight son?" my father said while walking into the room with a few more boxes.

"Oh its nothing dad."

"If you like anything just let me know. By Sunday they'll either be sold to the antique shop or in the dump."

"Okay, thanks dad." I said waving my hand as he turned around ready to leave.

"I'll be in the garden or wherever your mother will drag me to if you need me." He grinned, and shuffled the hair on my head as I laughed and waved good bye as I watched him walk away

"You alright Rege? You've been sitting there staring into space for quite some time." I was shocked out of my thoughts and faced the voice who spoke. Matt.

"Huh?! Oh yeah yeah. I'm fine just thinking about a couple of things."

 Prologue:

In a far off village near the shores of Khyreene, there is a legend about a love of a witch and a chief of a village.

The villagers did not believe in their love and thought that their leader was under a spell. So they burned the witch when the moon was at its fullest and the sky was red. The chief woke up because he had heard a cry of pain. Finding out that it was his lovers, he cursed his own village and left.

 Soon the village caught on fire and burned till there was none left on the land but ashes. They soon left and settled down in the forest, not realizing that there was an extra little girl because many have been lost, And that the blood of the witch still continues…

Whatever Momo was injected with caused her to fall into a trance almost immediately. She wasn't quite awake but she wasn't sleeping. It reminded Lia of a zombie. The poison didn't act in any sequence the doctors had ever seen before. A genetically modified piece of biological warfare.

The man in the airport was good. He avoided his face coming in contact with any of the cameras, which was nearly impossible. After viewing the image, Lia suspected he wore a collar like she had.

"You look worried my angel." Uncle said, the wrinkles in his face more pronounced in the late hour of the evening.

"Why?" She was filthy from her travels and seeing the city. All she wanted was a shower and the comfort of her pajamas. They were Nick's boxers and shirt. A hint of bitterness salted her tongue.

"Why what?" Uncle smoked a cigar and the scent of tobacco overpowered the confined space of the living room.

"Why do you call me 'my angel,' as a term of endearment?" She looked up at him, "I'm no angel."

He smiled, a genuine, full face smile. "Cecilia always wanted a daughter. After Matteo she couldn't physically have another. When I found you, lying in the trash like a discarded doll, I knew you'd bring Ceci happiness. You were a fallen angel, stolen away from heaven. You answered our prayers."

The tip of his cigar glowed red. 

"You knew what had happened to me, how?"

It want really a question, more like a command.

"You were a 12 year old." Hard lines on his face hid his rising anger. "I don't know how anyone could -"

She heard him sigh in disgust. Although the question went unanswered, she could infer what he meant. They were her family. Matteo, Cecelia, and Uncle. She could feel the tears well up in her eyes, but they remained unshed. Lia was told strong people didn't cry.

Uncle excused himself to check in on Momo before bed.

BENEATH THE BRIDGE. NOON TOMORROW 

She anticipated an exchange for an antidote. There had to be a reason why her closest friend was targeted. 

COME ALONE.

An ache in her chest told her she was feeling something. All she had left of her family was Uncle. She wouldn't put him in danger with this knowledge.

I WILL BE THERE.

The government has sanctioned a new profession. Mercenary. Our lead character keeps herself busy. Besides her killing contracts, she teaches elementary school, volunteers at shelters, and has an element of romance in her life. If you can call it a romance. (WARNING: Themes that may disturb readers! Read with caution!)
