"Am I looking fine?"

Ren said as he let out a small laugh as he looked at White bear who was wearing a suit today.

"Nice to meet you all. My name is Xin Ren."
He was very respectful in his attitude and several people nodded when they saw that.
After some greetings and small talks, the meeting finally started.
"What do Mr. Xin think about our drama?"
The question was asked by a man with brown hair. Ren had already heard about him. He was General Manager Su of Well production.
Besides him were Director Jang who had a rough beard and Writer Zhen who was just staring at Ren since he had entered the room.
There were also some employees who were sitting in the back.

Besides him White bear was smiling and the employees from Well Production were also smiling hearing his answers.
"What will you do if I say that you would be better for the second male lead role instead of the male lead?"
As they were talking, Writer Zhen who was silent till now suddenly asked.
Ren was surprised for a moment but he quickly answered him.
"That would not be a problem at all. I already said that I wanted to do the script because of the characters and I liked all the characters in it. I don't mind playing the second lead role."
"What will you say if I told you to take an audition for the role?"
"That would not be a problem at all."
Ren said confidently. He originally has no problem taking the audition.
In the industry, many top stars would not take auditions for their role and they will play the character without any audition.
Although it was not a good thing, it was already the stereotype for top actors and actresses.
But Ren didn't thought much about the auditions. If Writer Zhen wanted him to take the audition, he was fine with it.

From the beginning introduction of Liang Mu Cheng's tragic life, the story was carefully constructed.

From the perspective of a simple, kind and strong girl, the show delivered a touching story.

Perhaps it was because the director was also a woman but she was able to delicately grasp the perfect lens for the show and put each perspective into full play. The screenwriting was also excellent, the plot intriguing, the details were also subtle enough and though the overall concept was cliché, the show turned out to be heart-wrenching and touching at the same time.

Whenever the familiar sad melody sounded: "I love him zealously and madly My dreams have been cruelly shattered yet I cannot forget..." It moved the audience's hearts like a drizzle of rain.

It was the perfect series for a debuting screenwriter to make a name for himself.

Because the Jiang family was rich, despite computers still being considered expensive, they owned one at home and because of his parents job it was equipped with a printer. Such conditions made Jiang Cheng cry out in joy.

Switching on the computer skillfully and seeing the long-lost Windows XP system, Jiang Cheng smiled.

Opening up Microsoft Word 2001, his smile became even wider though the current program was kind of lacking, it was sufficient. 

Jiang Cheng's ten fingers quickly danced across the keyboard. As an excellent screenwriter in his previous life, speed typing was a vital skill. His record in his previous life was 110 words per minute, which could be regarded as first-class. 

It took five days for Jiang Cheng to complete the creation of "Autumn's Concerto", and then he sent the script for the first eight episodes of the TV series to Shanghai Tangren Film & Television.

Just like in America there was a bad phenomenon in the Chinese entertainment industry, where most film and television resources were monopolized by several large firms. Everyone had to do things according to their rules, otherwise they would be blocked and crushed. 

But in such a situation, Shanghai Tangren Film & Television could still develop rapidly and stably, a lot of which boiled down to its president, Cai Yinong, who was a very smart man.

Shanghai Tangren didn't take the path of independent production but instead it played a huge role in outsourcing and providing freelance jobs. 
 
They provided the scripts, funds, film and television bases and contacted excellent actors from mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, Singapore and other places. By taking the road of joint production and dividing profits, it meant they were able to resist the major firms.

Pagi yang cerah seperti hari biasanya, Velda mendayung sepeda buntut ke kantor penerbit media, setiap hari tanpa libur adalah tugasnya agar kesibukan yang dia dapat membuahkan hasil.

Dia turun dari sepedanya, mendorong hingga ke parkiran tempat dimana nongkrong itu. Pos satpam tidak ada lain lagi. Belum ada yang datang, eh, bukan, ada beberapa yang sudah absen.

"Selamat pagi, Nona manis!" sapa seorang pria yang menurut Velda, dia itu benar play boy cap gayung super.

Namanya Nando Firmansyah, 30 tahun, masih bujangan kata orang lokal. Bujangan tapi sifat suka maini anak orang tanpa dosa. Sudah berapa kali dia maini anak orang sampai baper minta di kawini tapi tolak mentah - mentah sama dia.

Mukanya boleh di sebutkan standar hampir mirip sama aktor Korea yang lagi booming yaitu Lee Min Ho oppa begitulah. Untuk Velda tidak ada pengaruh sama sekali dengan sikap play boy - nya itu.

"Pagi, juga," balasnya balik.

"Eh, matamu kenapa? Kok bengkak? Habis di tinju sama Dream Bear ya?" tanyanya si Nando

Velda menyentuh matanya memang masih rasa perih disana. Gara-gara semalam dia menangis soal perjodohan biadab itu.

"Ah ini, semalam gua habis nonton film serial drama Taiwan, terlalu menghayati jadinya, terbawa suasana kesedihan. Elo macam nggak tau saja kalau cewek sudah nonton serial sedih pasti mewek, kan!" jawabnya bohong demi kebaikkan sendiri.

"Lah, bukannya elo nggak suka nonton film serial drama Taiwan? Tumbenan banget! Eh... emm... Ada apa sih, kasih tau deh, soal patah hati, ya!" Di senggol-senggolnya bahu Velda.

"Apaan sih! Udah balik kerja sana! Nanti di marahi sama Pak Andra, loh!" usir nya, Nando senyum - senyum dia tahu betul kalau Velda tidak bisa di bohongi meskipun menggunakan alibi.

Dia duduk di post satpam di buka laci meja kerjanya milik Santo. Ada kaca cermin kecil tersimpan di dalam dia mengambilnya, masih pagi belum terlihat matahari naik tinggi langit. Suhu udaranya masih dingin dan mencengkam. Dia pun mengarahkan cermin pada wajahnya, kedua kantong mata terlihat bengkak, belum hilang juga. Kenapa bisa menangis sampai begini, Terpaksa dia pakai kacamata minusnya untuk menghindari curiga dari para pelanggan dan pengunjung lainnya. Selama ini dia memang selalu membawa kacamata minus kalau ada masalah genting menggunakan untuk tidak terjadi kesalahan yang fatal.

Sudah pukul tujuh lewat dua puluh menit, waktunya bersiap untuk antar koran seluruh penjuru rumah tetap menjadi pelanggan penerbit media surat kabar dan majalah terbaru.

Biasanya Velda lebih banyak mengantar koran dengan cara melempar atau memasukkan ke dalam kotak surat penerima atau pula memasukkan dalam pintu terbuka. Bisa juga melalui cela bawa pintu, segalanya dia bisa lakukan.

Sedikit mengganggu kegiatannya hari ini, dia menggunakan kacamata minus menghindari kantong mata yang bengkak, belum terbiasa saja saat bekerja, soalnya akan terlihat risih pada jalanan di kota padat penuh polusi asap.

Ciiittt...!

Braakk...!

Sepeda yang di gunakan oleh Velda tidak sengaja mencium pantat mobil fortuner hitam yang tepat berhenti di depan lampu merah simpang empat jalan. Arifin Sudirman.

Velda turun melihat kondisi sepedanya apakah ada yang rusak, sementara pemilik mobil fortuner hitam itu turun mendengar sesuatu menabrak kesayangannya.

"Untung nggak ada lecet sedikitpun... Sial! Mau cepat dapat masalah lagi!" merepet si Velda dia bangun dari jongkok posisi melihat sepedanya.

Sosok pria berpakaian santai berdiri menatap tubuh wanita memakai jaket merah Maron dan topi berwarna hitam berbentuk V. Velda merasa di perhatikan oleh seseorang dia pun menoleh. Pria itu senyum padanya namun tidak di balas oleh Velda.

Tidak bisa berlama-lama di jalanan telah penuh kemacetan hanya insiden tak sengaja itu, membuat para kendaraan berbaris memberi bunyian memekakkan telinga antara pria dan wanita ini.

"Aduuh...! Maaf, ya, gua nggak sengaja, Ini uang ganti perbaiki mobil tadi sempat tercium sama sepeda gua. Gua harus buru-buru...!" Velda memberikan beberapa lembar mata uang berwarna merah kepada pria berpakaian santai.

Dia tidak berkutik masih memperhatikan sosok wanita yang tengah mendorong sepeda menerobos jalanan padat kemacetan itu. Di lihat beberapa lembar uang kemudian di masukkan ke saku celananya.

Dia pun melanjutkan perjalanan arah yang sama di mana posisi Velda mendayung sepeda penuh kecepatan tinggi. Hari ini ada kesialannya, akibat kacamata minus kurang terang membuat dirinya sedikit kecelakaan kecil. Terpaksa nanti pulang setengah hari dia membawa sepedanya ke rumah sakit untuk perawatan lebih bagus lagi.

Sampai di salah satu gedung tinggi bukan pabrik pakan ternak. Turun dari sepeda, satpam bekerja di sana sudah mengenalinya baru juga satu hari sudah kenal sih.

"Selamat Pagi, Pak, seperti biasa antar paket pesanan dari penerbit media surat kabar." Sapanya ramah dan sopan.

"Selamat pagi, juga. Silakan, langsung saja masuk." Sambutnya si penjaga satpam - Pak Amir.

Velda menunduk kepala sedikit senyum kepadanya kemudian dia mendorong sepeda buntut masuk ke dalam, seperti biasa memarkir tempat khusus sepeda bermotor. Di ambil paketnya, sekarang dia malas membuka topinya. Dia masuk membuka masker mulut, kacamata tetap di pakainya.

Ketemu lagi dengan wanita judes, tidak pernah memunculkan wajah ramah kepada dirinya. Velda sih santai tidak terlalu mempermasalahkan mau dia ramah atau tidaknya, tetap pengantar paket selesai dan kelar.

"Selamat pagi, ada paket dari penerbitan media surat kabar," sapanya ramah untuk Velda.

Wanita itu mengangkat kepala, mukanya tetap masam nggak ada senyumnya.

"Taruh di sana saja," katanya ketus, dia menulis sesuatu Velda menunggu, setelah itu di tunjukin kepadanya pulpen dan menyuruhnya menandatangani seperti biasa.

"Tulis namanya juga! Aku tidak mau dapat teguran dari atasan karena tidak tercantum nama darimu! Lain kali antar paket cantumkan namanya, biar tidak terjadi salahpahaman, mengerti!" ucapnya ketus terus emosional banget.

Velda mengangguk dan menulis namanya di sana. Dalam hati Velda berkata Galak banget sih! Dia pun meranjak pergi dari tempat pabrik pakan ternak itu. Seperti hal biasa, Velda kembali memakai masker sempat dia buka itu.

Mobil berhenti kembali di depan pintu utama, sosok pria berpakaian santai turun, tapi kali ini Velda tidak mengangkat kepalanya, dia sedang mengecek ponsel ada panggilan masuk dari Andra.

"Iya, ini gua balik! Tadi ada kecelakaan kecil .... Iya, sabar baginda .... eh sisain untuk gua! Awas lo!" ucapnya di telepon yang tersambung di seberang.

Velda pun memutarkan sepeda di naikinnya keluar dari area pabrik pakan ternak itu. Pria yang berdiri di sana masih ingat dengan topi bergambar huruf V dan jaket merah maron.

"Apa paketku sudah sampai?" tanya Arka, Pria pakaian santai itu adalah Arka yang buat Velda mengalami kecelakaan kecil.

"Sudah, Pak. Ini..." Di serahkan paket terbungkus rapi, dia melihat cek pengeluaran barang dan pengantar barang. Tertera nama yang buat senyuman terbit tipis dan manis menawan. Velda.

With a stare still on Xiao Ping's back, Yu Jin slowly walks behind that girl, intends to escort her to the door.
"I'm leaving, Yu Jin," Xiao Ping says, turning her body facing Yu Jin and rests her hand on the door handle that has been opened. After having an answer that is a very slow nod from Yu Jin, Xiao Ping smiles. "Yu Jin, please, Don't worry about me," Xiao Ping says as she can read Yu Jin's mind.

That young man really is worry about Xiao Ping, worry about the doubt that the girl tries to ignore. He is worry because he still has not found a way to defeat the doubt. It has been several days after the premiere of Takeshi's drama that they watched on television. The doubt has began since then. 

Yu Jin suggested her to ask Takeshi directly about what he said and asked him a confirmation about their relationship. But Xiao Ping rejected it. "I don't want to add burden on his mind," Xiao Ping reasoned that time. 

"Yu Jin ..." Xiao Ping calls him again. Yu Jin gasps and softly smiles. "I'm leaving," she says again then turns her body to leave. Suddenly, Yu Jin holds her shoulder to halt her.

"Why don't you ask for his cellular number ?" Yu Jin suggests with a question. Xiao Ping turns her body that is at the aisle to face him. "What's for ?" Xiao Ping asks. "You can call him. Instead, you can call him from here. It's okay," Yu Jin answers. "Then ?" Xiao Ping asks again.

"Then.. you can make sure that he really is Takeshi. At least you know that you have really in touched with Takeshi after all," Yu Jin explains his idea. Xiao Ping stares at him in gloom, then gives him a thin smile before shakes her head.

"Why not ?" Yu Jin asks. A part of his heart is bitter to have the rejection. "Why do you prefer to keep the doubt and uncertainty like this ?" he pursues. This is the first time he can't understand Xiao Ping, and it is frightening him.

Xiao Ping's eyes still pensively stare at him, but now tears are starting to blur her view. "I.. I just don't want all of this to end." That sentence weakly comes out from Xiao Ping's lips. Yu Jin's face is definitely showing his incomprehension. "If I asked about it and turned out that it was all a lie, then .. then.." A tear drops and runs on her cheek.

"At least you know the truth. It is better to find the truth fast, even though it is bitter, than undergo the uncertainty," Yu Jin says to advise Xiao Ping. She shakes her head, releasing two drops of tear.

"I know that is what best to do. But only for this, for this time.. I want to enjoy this beautiful dream as long as possible. I don't want to wake up from this dream.. at least not this fast. Please.. understand me, Yu Jin," Xiao Ping's explanation ends with a plead. She can no longer hold her tears. Yu Jin's hand pulls Xiao Ping's shoulder and brings her to his embrace. "Please, let me," Xiao Ping asks on Yu Jin's chest.

"I understand," Yu Jin says while tightens his hug. He then whispers a promise on Xiao Ping's hair, "Don't worry, I will accompany you walking through this dream. And when it is time for you to wake up and fall, I will catch you." Yu Jin gently kiss Xiao Ping's hair. She says thanks in between her cry.

"I have a good news, Takeshi !" Hiroshi exclaims while stepping into his cubicle and finds out Takeshi rashly insert something inside his pocket.
"What is it ?" Hiroshi asks after successfully pickpocket the thing from Takeshi.

"She's my far cousin," Takeshi explains casually, skillfully covering his nervousness. "Why did you in hurry keeping it, seemed like you want to hide it from me ?" Hiroshi asks in suspicious while his eyes still staring at the blur printed photo on his hand. "Not really. I was intending to keep it when you arrived," Takeshi denies.

"Hmm.. She doesn't look like a Japanese," Hiroshi makes a comment. "Really ? Maybe because it is blur," Takeshi says. He keeps the photo in his pocket after Hiroshi returned it. "Are you sure she's not your girlfriend ?" Hiroshi asks jokingly. "Weirdo. She's my cousin, how could she becomes my girlfriend," Takeshi fences off then changes the topic, "What's the good news ?"

Hiroshi widens his eyes and says "A" with no sound when he remembers the news he wanted to tell Takeshi before. "Scare Face DVD will be launched in America. Of course it is the result of your last visit there," Hiroshi says while reminding Takeshi about his success in USA. His appearance at Pop Award turned out to be greeted enthusiastically, not only by Japanese who lives in America, but also by Asians and Americans in general. While there, he became a guest of some shows and news.

"Boss is also planning to make promo tour to America and some Asian countries. Do you have any suggestion ? We were thinking about Hong Kong, Singapore, and Thailand," Hiroshi continues.

"Hmm.. how about Taiwan ? Takeshi makes a suggestion while staring at Hiroshi's eyes, wondering his assistant's reaction. Hiroshi wrinkles his nose. "Taiwan ?" he asks. "Right. Taiwan. Remember my friends' enthusiasm there ?" Takeshi says. Hiroshi shrugs. "I'll inform it to boss," Hiroshi's words makes Takeshi widely smiles.

A Lin leans on the wall with tears on her face.
"I have been stalking Xiao Ping for some times. Eventually, every day after school she goes to Yu Jin's apartment and leaving in the evening, depends on when he goes home," Xu Qian explains while putting her bottom to the banister. Her sister and she are behind the emergency exit door at the floor of Yu Jin's apartment. Less than a minute ago Xiao Ping just went into the elevator after hugging Yu Jin for quite some time at the aisle.

"So.. that hair tie.." A Lin remembers about the bunny rubber hair tie she saw on Yu Jin's table. "What have they .."

Xu Qian shrugs. "I don't know. All I know that Xiao Ping seems to be a good girl, but naive. About Yu Jin.. well, I don't know much about him," Xu Qian answers casually. 

A Lin is shaking her head. Xu Qian sighs. "I just want to show you the fact, sis. That is how big your obstacle. So .. secretly making him lunch is not enough," Xu Qian bluntly speaks. With a blur view A Lin looks at her sister. "What should i do ?"

It is 2000, where social media hasn't born yet, we go for internet by dial-up modem or internet cafe, and Korean hasn't ruled the entertainment world. It is where a simple Taiwanese day dreamer girl, Xiao Ping, falls completely in love with a Japanese super star, Hasegawa Takeshi. Thus she decides to chase her love. One event after another, coincident by coincident happens during her effort. Eventually, will she ever wake up from her dream or keep on chasing her dream lover until it comes true ?

Sinulyapan ni Thera ang matangkad na lalaking kanina ay nagisnan niyang nakatunghay sa kanya. Nakatayo ito malapit sa kitchen counter sa loob ng hospital room at may kausap sa cell phone nito.

Lumayo ito nang dumating ang tinawag nitong doktor. Walang dudang may kaya ang lalaki kung pagbabasehan ang ayos at porma nito.. Wala pa siyang lalaking nakita sa bayan nila na nakasuot ng long sleeve at coat sa mga araw na wala namang okasyon. 

Sabi ng nurse at Doktor na kasalukuyang nag a-asikaso sa kanya, nabundol siya ng isang kotse habang tumatawid sa kalsada. Ang lalaki bang ito ang dahilan kung bakit bed ridden siya? May cast ang braso niya, may nakapaikot na benda sa ulo at nakasuot siya ng neck support. 

Ngumiti siya nang hindi sinasadyang mapasulyap sa kanya ang lalaki. Nakita niya ang pagkunot ng noo nito, nagbawi sa kanya ng tingin pagkatapos.

Ah, hindi siguro ito makapaniwala na ngingiti siya sa taong muntik nang makapatay sa kanya? Nangiti si Thera, ang importante, buhay siya.

Pero kung ito nga ang driver ng kotseng nakabunggo sa kanya hindi ba dapat lang na nagsosorry man lang ito sa kanya? O kaya nakikiusap na patawarin niya?

But he was acting cold and reserve now na para bang hindi totoo ang nakita niyang relief na gumuhit sa mga mata nito nang magdilat siya ng mga mata kanina. 

First impression, pogi. Pero habang tinatapunan ito ni Thera ng side glances, alam ng labing pitong taong gulang niyang mga mata na malayo sa pagiging pogi lang ang lalaki. 

He has an oozing homme fatale qualities, totally dangerous and seductive. Ang klase ng lalaki na makikita lang sa mga romantic movies at magazine. Very manly. If she was eight or nine years older, walang dudang isa siya sa magsu swoon para sa lalaki. But Thera was not the type who'll fall for older men, regardless kung gaano ka-good looking. 

Tantiya ni Thera nasa mid thirties ang edad nito. Some men look better as they age, this man is one of them. Mukha itong mayaman at mukhang may mataas na pinag aralan. 

"Kuya.." tawag niya nang makitang tapos na ang lalaki sa pagte-telebabad nito.

Natigilan ang lalaki, kumunot ang noo. Kung dahil sa pagtawag niya dito ng "Kuya" o ano hindi siya sigurado.

"Puwede ko bang mahiram 'yang cell phone mo? Baka kasi nag aalala na ang mga kamag anak ko.."

Kinagat niya ang mga labi. May kamag anak nga ba siyang mag aalala? Eh hindi ba kulang na lang hilingin ng mga sinasabi niyang kamag anak na ma-tegi siya ng maaga? 

Lumipat ang tingin ng lalaki sa Doktor, nagtatanong ang mga mata nito.

Ibinaba ni Thera ang kamay na may hawak sa cell phone na hiniram niya sa lalaki kanina. Naka off ang cell phone ni Kuya Joshua ganon din ang cell phone ni Tiyo Jaime. 

Mukhang hindi man lang yata talaga siya hinahanap ng mga ito. Binalingan niya ang doktor na binabasa ang kanyang clinical record.

"Doc, kailan po ba ako makakalabas dito? 'Yong lalaki kanina siya ba 'yong nakabundol sa 'kin? Hahatian niya naman siguro ako sa hospital expenses 'di ba? Alam n'yo kasi, magagalit ang Tiyo ko kapag malaman niyang may utang ako.."

"Wala ka ba talagang maalala, hija?"

"Naaalala ko ang lahat, Dok.. Wala akong nakakalimutan. Thera Baguio ang pangalan ko.. Kahapon, pumasok ako sa school.." Nag isip siya. "Naaalala kong sumakay ako sa jeep pauwi sa bahay pagkatapos ng try out namin sa volleyball.."

Ah, baka pagbaba niya ng jeep saka siya nabangga ng kotse? Well maliban sa kung paano siya nabundol klaro kay Thera ang lahat ng nangyari bago siya naaksidente.

"What do you say is your name again?"

"Thera. Thera Baguio."

"What do you think is the date now, Thera?"

Kumunot ang noo niya. "Second day ng pasukan. June 7, 2007.."

Napailing ang Doktor at napatitig naman sa kanya ang personal nurse. Nagtataka si Thera.

Napanood niya na ang mga ganitong tanungan at reaksyon sa mga teleserye eh. Dalawang beses nang tinanong ng Doktor sa kanya kung may naaalala siya habang tsine-check ng nurse ang BP niya kanina. 

"Magrerequest ako ng MRI at blood test. Ipapa-schedule ko na rin ang cognitive test. Si Nurse Kai na ang bahalang.."

"Kaunti na lang mag e-expect na 'ko, Doc na ibabalita mo sa 'kin mamaya na may amnesia ako."

Maingay na nag alis ng bara sa lalamunan ang Doktor.

"We will have to run some more tests para makasiguro.."

Naubo si Thera. 

Bago pa siya makabuo ng mas maraming tanong, nagpaalam na ang Doktor. Nalilito si Thera, kinabahan siya bigla. Amnesia? 

Naiwan si Thera at ang nurse na tsine-check naman angnakakabit sa kanyang IV fluid. Ano'ng tests pa raw ang gagawin sa kanya? Maliban sa masakit ng kaunti ang ilang parte ng katawan niya okay naman siya. 

Amnesia? Imposible. Natatandaan niya ang pangalan niya, ang address ng bahay nila.. Kahit ang paminsan-minsang pagmamalupit at pagdadamot ng Tiyuhin niya at pinsan sariwa sa isip niya. 

"H-hindi ako puwede magtagal dito, Nurse. 'Yong hospital fees tataas ng tataas, magagalit ang Tiyo kapag.."

"Huwag kang mag alala, Ma'am. Hindi yata nasabi sa 'yo o nakalimutan mo lang, pero major share holder ang asawa mo sa ospital na ito. Wala kang dapat ipag alala.."

Maang na napatitig si Thera sa nurse. 

"A-asawa? A-ako?"

Tumango ang nurse, natatawang binulungan siya.. "'Yong guwapong lalaking lumabas kanina at tinawag mong Kuya, asawa mo siya."

Literal na bumagsak ang panga ni Thera.

Bumuntong hininga si Thera. Nakatuon ang tingin niya sa fruit basket na nakapatong sa sidetable pero hindi niya naman alam kung bakit niya iyon tinititigan. Naguguluhan siya. Sabi ng nurse huwag daw siyang mag isip ng mag isip. Paano bang hindi? Pagkatapos nitong sabihin na hindi na siya teenager..

The thought of being married to someone she doesn't even remember scares her. Ni hindi niya maalala kung paano maligawan. 

Nakita niyang nakabalandra ang mukha niya sa isang magazine habang tumatanggap ng award bilang isa sa mga successful businesswoman sa Pilipinas.

Gorgeous and brainy Thera De Marco receives another award.., says the caption. Was she that successful? Naambunan ba siya ng grasya ng napangasawa niya at sa wakas ay naiahon sa hirap sina Tito Jaime at Joshua? 

Today was Oct 18, 2018, taliwas sa ine-expect niyang petsa. She was no longer seventeen. She was turning thirty in few months time. 

Hindi nagsisinungaling ang nurse at mukhang tama ang Doktor niya, may mali sa kanya. Kanina, tinuruan siya ng nurse kung paano magbrowse sa google at manood ng youtube gamit ang cell phone ni Sean. 

Hindi niya pa alam kung nagkaroon pa ba ng follow up concert ang F4 sa Pilipinas matapos ang successful concert ng grupo noong December 2003.

Nakanood kaya siya? Saan naman siya kukuha ng pera pambili ng ticket? Kung by then ay kasal na siya kay Sean malamang ay napanood niya at isa siya sa mga tumili.

Die hard fan siya ni Jerry Yan kahit ang Meteor Garden pa lang naman talaga ang drama na pinagbidahan nito ang napapanood niya. Bago pa man e-ere ng isang TV network sa Pilipinas ang tagalized version ng Meteor Garden noong 2003 napanood na nila ni Kisses ang series.

OFW sa Taiwan ang ate ni Kisses. Ilang buwan matapos i-ere ang ending ng Meteor Garden sa Taiwan noong 2001, umuwi ito ng Pilipinas para magbakasyon. Dala nito ang complete cd ng series ng Meteor Garden na minarathon nila ni Kisses tuwing pagkatapos ng klase.

Sean De Marco. De Marco. Sean.. 
Iyon ang pangalan ng lalaking sinasabi ng nurse na napangasawa niya. Kahit ano'ng gawin niyang piga sa isip, wala siyang maalala. Sumasakit lang ang ulo niya.

She married him in haste. 19 years old siya. Why? Maaga ba siyang nabuntis? Hindi. Nakalagay sa record niya na ni minsan hindi pa siya nagbubuntis. So why rush the marriage?

Curious si Thera, paano niya nabingwit ang isang lalaking kagaya ni Sean? Sigurado siyang hindi siya magkakainteres sa lalaki kahit mag edad siya ng dise nueve. Pakiramdam niya hindi rin siya ang uring magpapakasal sa lalaking hindi niya mahal maiangat lang ang sarili sa kahirapan.

Sean was way out of her league. Saan niya ba ito nakilala? Bahay at school lang naman ang ruta niya. 

Sampung taon na halos siyang kasal sa lalaki ayon kay Kai. And that she was very lucky to have married a man like him. Na kinaiinggitan siya ng marami..

Nakikita niya kung bakit. Maliban sa makatibag pader na machismo Sean was tremendously rich. Nagmula sa mayamang angkan at nagkalat ang mga negosyo sa loob at labas ng bansa. Iyon ang ilang napiga niyang detalye sa personal nurse tungkol kay Sean.

Sinulyapan ni Thera ang repliksyon niya sa salamin na nakapatong sa ibabaw ng sidetable. Pag aari iyon ni Kai. Ipinahiram nito iyon sa kanya nang i-insist niya na gusto niyang makita ang hitsura niya ngayong halos trenta na siya.

Inabot ni Thera ang salamin.. For nth time, tinitigan niya ang repliksyon sa salamin. She couldn't get use to her older face.. though she doesn't look like thirty, sabi ni Kai. Sa bagay na 'yon agree siya sa nurse. 

Sinalat niya ang sariling pisngi. Banat ang mukha niya. Makinis at halos walang visible pores. Walang forehead lines at laugh lines. Ni hindi siya mukhang naaksidente huwag lang titingnan ang kaunti niyang galos sa mukha. 

Nagpabotox ba siya? Nag undergo ng kung ano anong cosmetic surgeries manatili lang maganda? Umiling si Thera. 

"Thirty huh? Thera.. Wala ka bang ginawa sa nakalipas na mahigit isang dekada kundi magpaganda?" kausap niya sa sarili.

Binitawan niya ang salamin. Why was she taking her 'amnesia' lightly? Paano kung sabihin ng doktor na hindi na babalik ang memorya niya? Paano niya ibabalik ang mga nawalang alaala sa isip niya? 

Tatanggapin niya na lang ba na kasal talaga siya kay Sean? As if may magagawa pa siya. Nasa harap niya na ang ebidensya, hindi na mukhang teenager ang hitsura niya.

Speaking of her husband, hindi pa bumabalik ang lalaki simula nang umalis ito nang walang paalam kanina. Kung saan nagpunta hindi niya alam. Ni hoy ni hay wala. Mayroon na bang ganoong klase ng asawa? 

Natuon ang tingin ni Thera sa cell phone ni Sean na nasa kandungan niya nang magliwanag iyon. Napailing si Thera, iniwan ni Sean ang cell phone sa kanya. Did he trust her that much na hindi niya i-invade ang privacy nito? 

Oh well, hindi naman kasi talaga siya interesado. Sabi ni Kisses, ang boyfriends na nag iiwan ng personal na gamit sa girlfriend, walang tinatagong kalokohan o ibang babae. 

Bahaw siyang napangiti. Iyong ganoon klaseng kagwapuhan kahit pader magtatangka itong sundan. Pero syempre exempted siya. Mga tipo kasi ni Dao Ming Xi ang type niya. 'yong napangasawa niya mukhang kasing stiff and refined ni Hua Ze Lei, boring sa madaling salita.

Napapitlag pa si Thera nang tumunog ang cell phone nitong hawak niya pa. Kumunot ang noo niya nang makitang 'Babe' ang pangalang nakarehistro sa screen.

Napailing siya. Walang ibang babae pero mayroong 'Babe' si Sean.

Pumalatak si Thera at imbes na sagutin ay itinaob ang cell phone ng asawa.

Inilapag ni Sean ang telepono sa craddle. Sumandal siya sa sandalan ng swivel chair. Nasa Sean and Tan's Teacaf siya. Doon siya dumeretso pagkatapos niyang dumaan sa condo unit niya para maligo. Natawagan niya na ang mga magulang na nag aalala ng husto nang malaman ang tungkol sa aksidente ni Thera. 

Katatapos niya lang din makausap ang neurologist ng huli. Thera could be suffering from partial amnesia, ayon sa Doktor at kailangan ang presensya at tulong niya para i-determine iyon. 

Dr. Gabriel will be using cognitive and diagnostic tests for Thera. Maliban pa iyon sa MRI, CT scan, blood tests at ilan pang ira-run na tests para ma-check kung may seizures ang babae. 

Nahilot ni Sean ang sintido. Walang kasiguraduhan kung kailan makakaalala si Thera at isang buwan na lang bago ang Anniversary ng kompanya.

"Kuya.."

Sean was awestruck nang makaringgan ang maliit at unsure na boses ni Thera nang tawagin siya nito kanina para hiramin ang cell phone niya.

He missed her soft voice though. Hinatak siya bigla pabalik sa nakalipas na isang dekada. Naalala niya ang mga ngiti ni Thera nang magtama ang mga mata nila kanina. May sumisingit na alaala sa isip niya sa saglit na paghihinang ng mga mata nila ng asawa.

Ten years ago or so, her eyes used to look like that. Nakangiti hindi lang ang mga labi kundi pati ang mga mata. 

Umahon siya sa pagkakaupo. Nakapamulsang tinungo ang salaming dingding ng dating opisina. Kita roon ang tanawin mula sa labas. Just accross TeaCaf was DM University.. Doon nag aral ng kolehiyo si Thera bago ito pumasok sa mundo niya..

After that eventful dinner, Chen SyaoRan left her place with full of bliss while Jiang Ai Yue had difficulty sleeping that night. Chen SyaoRan's face kept appearing in her dreams and she couldn't stop herself from thinking about him. Desperate for sleep, she took a sleeping pill before skimming back to her script to shift her focus onto something else except SyaoRan. Half an hour later, she finally felt drowsy and finally decided to go to bed. 
It was a dreamless sleep and she felt refreshed. Grabbing her phone to check her schedule again, she dressed up and waited for Manager Xing to pick her up. 
"Did you read the contract?" Manager Xing asked her as they strode down the hallway of the CK Entertainment. Along the way, Jiang Ai Yue met some employees and artists whom she greeted back when they saw her. 
"Yes, I read it a week ago. And you already said that PA Xing even checked it and had no problems about it so I guess it's fine." 
As they reached the room, the door just across  from it opened and revealed another girl who wore luxury clothes from head to toe. Her face with heavy make-up and hair full of extensions. 
Seeing Jiang Ai Yue, the said girl showed a smile of contempt as she took her time walking to her directions, her heels clacking on the floor. A strong smell of perfume invaded her space so Ai Yue couldn't help but hold her breath. Even Manager Xing took out her handkerchief to cover her nose. 
"Oh, the slut princess is here. What a bad day it is for a visit here in the company." Mi Na spewed out with such a hateful tone. Jiang Ai Yue was in full defense mode whenever she meets people like her in the entertainment circle. 
Jiang Ai Yue proudly smiled as if she hadn't heard what Mi Na said. "You must've been here to find some drama roles. I heard no one has offered you anything after that scandal with the director five months ago." She chuckled with contempt. 
Mi Na's face contorted with rage when she was reminded by her scandal. "Shut yourself, you slut!" She lifted her hand to slap Jiang Ai Yue but Ai Yue was faster and grabbed hold of her wrist. 
"I think you're making a mistake here, Mi Na. The slut who slept with the director months ago wasn't me but you, remember. I do recommend that you take some vitamins that will strengthen your brain memory in case you're having a hard time remembering those." Ai Yue chuckled as she enjoyed watching Mi Na's face distort into something more hideous from rage. 
She then threw Mi Na's wrist with force that Mi Na almost stumbled from gaining her balance. "A word of advice, you better control your temper next time. Or you might find yourself with no place at this entertainment circle." 
Mi Na realized her words and pointed at her. "So that scandal was really your fault, you bitch!!"

"You were just on time, Ms. Jiang." The personnel from Marie-Belle, a luxury clothing line, said as they both stood up and shook hands with her. 
After a few exchange with them, she signed the documents finalizing their sponsorship and being the ambassador of the brand.

"I've always been a fan of your works, Jiang Ai Yue." He flashed her a blinding smile that if seen by his fans, will surely make them fall in love with his charms. 
"I also admire your works too. And congratulations for winning the Best Male Lead award this year." Jiang Ai Yue politely responded to him.
The drama she picked as the antagonist is a reincarnation story that will place in the past and the present. Her role at the past would be the strict empress and a spoiled rich heiress in the present time. Han Di Xi on the other hand is the male lead for the drama. He'll be acting as the emperor and the business tycoon for the present time. 
This time, her role as the antagonist have almost the same amount of screen time with the male and female lead. Different sides would be shown and the drama would portray a different type of antagonist. It would not only show how she bullies the female lead but her reasons and actions would be revealed to the audience to story tell her side. Jiang Ai Yue knew how challenging the role would be but she wanted to take this opportunity to grow and expand her experience in different areas.

Mina hanya bisa duduk di lantai dan pura pura membaca naskah drama nya. Ditengah keramaian murid murid lain yang sedang sibuk lalu lalang Mina merasa kesepian.

Watak nya yang ceria itu seakan hilang di telan rasa cinta nya pada Kaito. Mina membendung air mata yang hendak keluar dan berusaha tetap tersenyum saat teman nya menyapa.

"Cut! Cut!!", seru salah satu murid yang memimpin latihan drama.

"Woah ... kalian berbakat tau ...", puji murid lain nya yang terpukau melihat akting Kaito dan Ai.

"Oi ... bagus apa nya?", Ucap Kaito dengan wajah datar sembari turun dari panggung bersama Ai.

"Hei ... ini percobaan pertama kali loh ... kalian melakukan nya dengan Perfect!!", ujar sang ketua kelas.

"Hmm ... sudah lah ... kalian lanjutin adegan lain nya ... aku mau ambil minum di kelas", kata Kaito dengan wajah malas nya.

Kaito melangkah kan kaki nya dengan perlahan keluar dari aula sekolah dan melangkah menyusuri koridor. Kaito sengaja mengulur waktu dengan melangkah se lambat mungkin.

"Cih ... kalo drama ini gagal gimana ya?", gumam Kaito di tengah langkah nya.

Kaito terlalu khawatir karena Ai bisa saja merusak drama kelas tahun ini. Walau pun dia belum tahu apa yang akan Ai katakan di dalam naskah drama kelas. Dia pikir teman teman nya mengerjai nya karena hanya tau sebagian dari cerita yang di pentaskan.

Kaito membuka pintu kelas nya dan melangkah masuk.

"Eh?! Mina? ... bukanya kamu tadi di aula?", tanya Kaito seraya mendekat ke arah Mina yang sedang berdiri di depan kelas memandang ke arah luar jendela.

"Eh ... giliran ku masih lama ...", jawab Mina dengan senyuman palsu di wajah nya.

"Oh ...", Kaito berjalan menuju bangku nya dan mengambil botol minum nya yang ada di laci.

Glek ... glek ...

Kaito meneguk air mineral dari botol minum nya.

"Ano ... Kaito?", Mina kembali duduk di bangku nya dan memalingkan wajah nya dari Kaito.

"Hmm ...", Kaito kembali meletakan botol mya di laci meja nya.

"Aku ... aku gak perlu ikut drama kelas deh ...", ucap Mina tetap berusaha tersenyum pada Kaito walau hati nya sebenar nya sedang hancur.

"Hee? gak biasa nya kamu lemes gitu", kata Kaito dengan nada datar seraya melangkah mendekati Mina yang duduk di bangku baris paling depan.

"Ka-karena ...", Mina tak sanggup mengatakannya pada Kaito tentang perasaan yang ia sembunyikan selama ini.

"Karena?", kata Kaito mengernyit heran karena sahabat nya itu tak pernah bersikap seperti ini sebelum nya.

"Kau ... memang tolol!!", Mina tiba tba berdiri dari bangku nya dan menatap Kaito dengan air mata yang sudah mengalir di pipi nya.

"Mi-mina? kau kenapa?", Kaito hanya bisa berdiri membeku karena tak tau harus apa dan tak tau apa yang membuat sahabat nya itu menangis.

"Aku sakit!!! Sakit!!!", tangan Mina mengepal kuat dan mengumpulkan keberanian nya untuk mengeluarkan semua perasaan yang ada dalam hati nya.

Saat mereka pernah melewati sebuah jembatan layang dan melihat seorang pengemis, Song Youman berkata kalau para pengemis itu memiliki tangan dan kaki, lalu kenapa tidak mencari pekerjaan dan memilih untuk mengemis? Tapi setiap melihat orang tua dan sedang sakit, orang pertama yang akan selalu memberi uang pada orang tua itu adalah Song Youman.
Song Youman adalah orang yang tidak terlalu peduli pada perasaan orang lain. Dia akan melakukan apapun yang dia ingin lakukan dan mengatakan apa yang ingin dia katakan. Xia Wanan mengakui kalimat Song Youman memang benar. Hanya saja, saat melihat Ai Jiang yang tertegun mendengar kalimat kasar Song Youman, untuk menghindari konflik, Xia Wanan diam-diam menarik Song Youman, menyuruhnya diam.
Song Youman yang akan mengatakan sesuatu lagi langsung menutup mulut karena melihat isyarat Xia Wanan.

Song Youman menatap noda pada gaun Xia Wanan. Dengan nada kesal, dia menukas lagi, "Seharusnya kau yang menenangkan An An. Tapi sekarang malah An An yang menenangkanmu."
Song Youman mengucapkannya lirih. Wajah Song Youman seketika memerah. Mendadak dia berseru dengan nada separuh bangga, "Kalian bicara apa, sih?!"
Xia Wanan tertawa, kemudian menunduk menatap gaunnya.
