Yes, they can get one atom thick and it is possible to cut molecules with them, but not much more than that. The reason for this is that the blade is so thin, in fact that it is to soft to cut something, having trouble to even split a hair, and would just dent instead. This amazing, but arguably useless on a macro scale, property of obsidian makes it a perfect material for the production of, for example, measuring needles used in electron microscopes that work on magnitudes of magnification so large you can see singular atoms.
What came to my mind in this case are obsidian blades that I saw online to be called the sharpest blades. It is said that at the thinnest part, an obsidian blade can get as thin as a single atom and could even cut molecules apart.

I know the feeling and I will be posting tomorrow. I was planning to do one today, but a stupid program I'm working in didn't let me export my project that I had to deliver TODAY by 8 o'clock and I pulled a ####### allnighter to get it to work and I STILL didn’t work, so I'm kind of not in the mood to write. I will get over it by tomorrow, I have to, and I sincerely hope that every single person out there working on ArcGIS Pro never spends and entire night writing error notices. Not sure how to describe it in detail, in short: a well deserved 5 stars for a good overpowered; comedy; yuri; beholder; tesura fanfic. Fan warning. Original tensura characters got slightly... altered?..., because of the new plot. So while it still makes sense (more or less), characters like Rimuru have slightly different personalities. In my opinion, that's a plus as opposed to just messing those up while trying to mimic the original, but be warned. Have a nice read.

I may come of as pretentious a little (even though I'm really not), but I was just so frustrated after I turned this whole platform upside down about three times, dragged user suppor with me and spent god knows how long trying to find any remnants of this book on internet, while only having MC name and some first chapter info (from what I new I remembered correctly for sure, as it was a long time ago that I last read it). I also haven't done anything like this since I went to college (information/intelligence gathering), mostly due to lack of time and/or need, so I had to relearn some tricks. Thanks for the chapter... andhearisatypo to --> took or to --> took to. I forgot halfway through writing this chapter what exactly was written. I think "...it to do...", but who knows, not me. The eternal pain of typos. GTP4 gets the job done in that department, but it can be painful to deal with.
