I got to read this novel before release so I decided to drop the first review. This is probably one of Chestnut's most unique works despite the generic title. The plot of the apocalypse, system, and villain is flipped on its head and given a completely new meaning. Vincent especially has been my favorite. Not only is he fairly funny, but also completely psychotic. The story is of an overpowered character, but the stakes still feel high at most times and keep you on the edge of your seat. Lot of potential, looking forward to more!

The mc is every bit a villain, and the main supporting character is a good foil for the mc. The plot doesn't have any holes so far, we understand why the mc can be overpowered without a system and it's easy to like the two leading characters (villain(mc) and hero) they have a nice relationship dynamic. I look forward to reading more.

At first I was very sceptical about the tittle, yet still gave it a try and oh boy, what a good decision it was. We find ourselves in a cliché fantasy world with a totally psychotic Mc and his pal the Hero tackling the typical situations with a completely unique aproach. Exactly what I needed to read to ressurrect from all the nauseating stuff.
