Kapitel 214: 213-Terrifying Young Man

As Renjiro launched himself forward, he was moving at a speed that was almost blinding. The ground beneath him cracked as he propelled himself toward Duy, his fist aimed squarely at Duy's chest.

Duy barely had time to react, his instincts kicking in at the last possible second. He sidestepped the attack, feeling the rush of air as Renjiro's fist grazed past him.

The sheer force behind the punch was enough to create a shockwave that rippled through the training ground, sending dust and debris flying into the air.

'He's stronger than before,' Duy thought, his gaze narrowing as he watched Renjiro close in on him.

'Much stronger.'

Renjiro wasn't giving him any time to think. He followed up his initial attack with a barrage of punches and kicks, each one faster and stronger than the last.

Duy was forced to stay on the defensive, dodging and blocking as best as he could. But even with his years of experience and training, he was barely keeping up.

'I underestimated him,'

Duy thought, gritting his teeth as he felt the strain in his muscles from the relentless onslaught.

Realizing he needed to match Renjiro's strength, Duy made a quick decision. He gathered his chakra, focusing it inward as he tapped into the power of the Eight Gates.

Without hesitation, he immediately opened both the first and second gates. His body now thrummed with power.

With both gates open, Duy met Renjiro's attacks head-on. The ground shook beneath their feet as their fists and feet collided, each strike sending shockwaves through the air.

The intensity of the battle was almost overwhelming, the air thick with the smell of sweat and the sound of their grunts and heavy breathing.

But even with the first two gates open, Duy found himself struggling to keep up with Renjiro. The Chunins's power was something else entirely—his speed, his strength, and most of all, his Sharingan.

Those crimson eyes seemed to see everything, predicting Duy's moves before he even made them. It was as if Renjiro was always one step ahead, countering every attack with ease.

'I thought two gates would be enough,' Duy thought, his determination hardening.

'But if I have to open the third gate to keep up, then so be it.'

With a deep breath, Duy pushed himself further. The third gate, the Gate of Life, burst open with a roar, sending a surge of energy through his body.

His skin reddened as he tapped into the full potential of the Eight Gates. The air around him crackled with energy, the sheer force of his power causing the ground beneath him to crack and crumble.

Renjiro's eyes widened slightly as he felt the shift in Duy's power. The older man's speed and strength had increased exponentially, and for a moment, it seemed like they were evenly matched.

But that moment didn't last long.

As they clashed again, Duy realized something was wrong. Even with the third gate open, he was still struggling to keep up.

Renjiro's Sharingan had evolved, and now it was more than just a tool for reading movements. It was as if Renjiro could see into the future, predicting Duy's moves before he even made them. Every punch and kick was countered with precision and speed, which left Duy reeling.

'Damn it!' Duy cursed internally as he felt himself being pushed back.

'Even with the third gate, he's still overpowering me. That Sharingan... it's too much!'

Even as he fought back, Duy could feel himself losing ground. Renjiro was relentless, his attacks coming faster and harder with each passing second. And no matter how hard Duy tried, he couldn't break through Renjiro's defences.

'If I keep this up, I'm going to lose,' Duy realized, his mind racing as he searched for a solution.

'I need to do something... something that will turn the tide.'

In a last-ditch effort, Duy made a decision that he knew could be dangerous.

He pushed himself even further, tapping into the power of the fourth gate, the Gate of Pain.

As the gate burst open, a wave of excruciating pain shot through his body, but with it came a surge of power, unlike anything he had ever felt before.

His speed and strength reached new heights as he forced his body to its limits.

Renjiro's eyes narrowed as he saw Duy's transformation.

'Is that... the fourth gate?' he wondered, a hint of concern creeping into his mind.

He had never fought someone who had opened the fourth gate before. He knew it was a dangerous move—one that could easily turn the tide of battle.

But it was also dangerous for the User since it was literally called the gate of Pain. It all depended if the user could handle the pain that accompanied the power increase.

Unfortunately for Renjiro, Duy had long ago gotten used to this pain. This was even far from his limit which was the gate of Wonder.

But Renjiro wasn't about to back down. If anything, the challenge only fueled his determination.

'If he's going to push himself that far... then I'll just have to push myself even further.'

With a burst of chakra, Renjiro channelled his energy into his body, enhancing his physical capabilities even more.

His muscles tightened, his movements becoming faster and stronger as he prepared to meet Duy's challenge head-on.

The two shinobi clashed again, their fists and feet colliding with a force that sent shockwaves through the air. The ground beneath them cracked and shattered under the sheer intensity of their battle, dust and debris flying everywhere as they fought with everything they had.

For a moment, it seemed like they were evenly matched. Which was alarming since one of them had opened more gates.

Duy's speed and strength had increased dramatically, and he was now able to keep up with Renjiro's enhanced abilities. Their movements were a blur, almost too fast for the naked eye to follow.

But just as Renjiro was about to press his advantage, he felt a sharp pain in his chest. It was sudden and unexpected, and it caused him to stagger back, clutching his chest as the pain intensified.

'What is happening?' Renjiro wondered as he struggled through the pain.

Duy noticed the change immediately.

"Renjiro!" he called out, concern in his voice as he saw the younger man stumble.

"What's wrong?"

Renjiro didn't answer. The pain was too much, too sudden. He could feel his body protesting, the backlash from opening the gates finally catching up to him.

His vision blurred, his muscles screaming in agony as the effects of the third gate began to take their toll.

'Damn it...' Renjiro thought, gritting his teeth as he fought to stay on his feet. 'I pushed too hard...'

Seeing Renjiro in pain, Duy immediately backed off, his concern outweighing any desire to continue the spar.

"Renjiro, stop!" he shouted, rushing to the younger man's side. "You need to close the gates, now!"

With great effort, Renjiro nodded, his vision swimming as he concentrated on closing the gates. One by one, the gates began to close, the pain slowly receding as his body returned to its normal state.

But even as the pain subsided, Renjiro could feel the exhaustion setting in, his body trembling from the strain.

Finally, the last gate closed, and Renjiro slumped forward, his breathing heavy as he leaned on Duy for support.

"That was close," he muttered, his voice weak but laced with relief.

Duy let out a sigh of relief, his grip on Renjiro's shoulders loosening as he helped the younger man sit down on the ground.

"You pushed yourself too hard, Renjiro," he said.

'At least I forced him to open four gates'

Renjiro thought as he nodded weakly, his eyes half-closed as he tried to catch his breath.

"Yeah... I know," he admitted, his voice barely above a whisper.

"I just... I wanted to see how far I could go."

'What a terrifying young man, even with four gates open I barely managed to handle him. And that was only with Taijutsu. If he could have used his ninjutsu or genjutsu would I have survived?' The genin wondered.

Kapitel 215: 214

Duy sat silently beside Renjiro, his eyes fixed on the younger shinobi as he lay unconscious on the ground.

The wind had calmed, and the only sounds that could be heard were the faint rustling of leaves and the steady breathing of Renjiro.

Duy shifted slightly, stretching his legs as he continued to keep watch. He didn't know how long it would take for Renjiro to wake up, but he wasn't about to leave him alone out here.

Despite the fact that they had only just met a few hours ago, Duy felt a responsibility to ensure that Renjiro was safe.

After all, he had pushed Renjiro by helping him open two more gates, and it was only right that he be there to help him recover.

Yet, despite his concern, Duy found himself in a bit of a dilemma. He didn't actually know where Renjiro lived, and taking him to his own home didn't seem like a good idea.

Renjiro was still technically a stranger to him, and bringing him into his personal space felt too intimate, too soon. Duy sighed, as he glanced around the empty and destroyed training ground.

'I guess I'll just have to wait it out,' Duy thought, his eyes returning to Renjiro. He couldn't very well carry Renjiro through the village, especially not in his current state. The sight of an unconscious Uchiha would undoubtedly raise questions—questions that neither of them were prepared to answer.

So, Duy waited.

Finally, after what felt like an eternity, Renjiro stirred. Duy leaned forward, his eyes narrowing as he watched the younger man slowly come to.

Renjiro's eyelids fluttered, and he let out a soft groan as he shifted on the ground, his body still wracked with the aftereffects of the third gate.

"Renjiro?" Duy called out softly, his voice low and soothing as he reached out to gently shake the younger man's shoulder.

"Hey, you awake?"

Renjiro's eyes slowly opened, blinking against the harshness of the moonlight as he tried to focus.

For a moment, he was disoriented, his mind foggy as he struggled to remember where he was and what had happened.

But as his vision cleared, the memories of their spar came rushing back, and he winced as he felt the soreness in his muscles.

"My body..." Renjiro muttered, his voice hoarse as he slowly sat up, wincing at the pain that shot through his limbs.

"It's still sore."

Duy offered a sympathetic smile, his hand still resting on Renjiro's shoulder. "That's to be expected," he said, his tone gentle.

"You pushed yourself pretty hard out there. It's only natural that your body would feel the strain."

Renjiro nodded, though the pain in his body was more than he had anticipated. Every muscle felt like it had been stretched to its limit, and even the act of sitting up was a challenge.

He took a deep breath, trying to steady himself as he glanced around, taking in their surroundings.

'I wonder how it will be when I open the fourth gate if just the third gate has me this sore,' Renjiro thought.

'It will most likely be worse.'

The third gate had been a struggle, and the idea of pushing himself even further was both daunting and exhilarating.

"Thanks for staying with me, Duy," Renjiro said, his voice a bit stronger now.

"I appreciate it. Your guidance really helped."

Duy waved off the gratitude with a modest chuckle. "Don't mention it," he said, standing up and offering Renjiro a hand to help him to his feet.

"Even if you have the power of youth, you have to remember to pace yourself."

Renjiro accepted the hand, pulling himself up with a grunt as he stood on shaky legs.

"I'll be more careful next time."

Duy watched him for a moment, making sure that Renjiro was steady on his feet before stepping back.

"You should head home and get some rest," he suggested, his tone light but firm.

"You'll need it after today."

Renjiro nodded again, grateful for the advice. "I will," he said, offering a small smile. "Thanks again, Duy. I'll see you tomorrow."

With that, Renjiro turned and began to make his way home, his movements slow and deliberate as he navigated the empty streets of the village.

When he finally reached his home, the first thing Renjiro did was head to the mirror.

He needed to see for himself—needed to confirm what he had suspected during their spar.

Standing in front of the mirror, Renjiro took a deep breath and activated his Sharingan.

The familiar crimson glow filled his vision as the three tomoe spun lazily in his eyes.

Renjiro stared at his reflection, his gaze intense as he searched for any sign of the fourth tomoe.

But it wasn't there.

His Sharingan was the same as it had always been—powerful, but still limited to the three tomoe.

"It seems like the fourth tomoe only appears when I open the third gate," Renjiro muttered to himself, his voice tinged with both disappointment and curiosity.

He continued to stare at his reflection, his mind racing as he tried to make sense of what this meant.

The fourth tomoe had enhanced his abilities to a level he hadn't experienced before. But now, with the gates closed, it was gone, leaving Renjiro with more questions than answers.

'For now, it seems like the fourth tomoe only improves my eyes further,' Renjiro thought, his mind turning over the possibilities.

The additional tomoe had undoubtedly made his Sharingan more powerful, allowing him to see and predict Duy's movements with incredible precision.

But even with this enhancement, it hadn't reached the level of the Mangekyo Sharingan—not like Renjiro has seen its effects first-hand.

Moreover, Renjiro had a deep feeling that improving his eyes further was just scratching the surface of what his fourth tomoe could do.

There was something more to it—something that he hadn't yet discovered. The potential was there, lurking just beneath the surface, waiting to be unlocked.

This realization left Renjiro with a sense of both excitement and frustration. He had tapped into something powerful, but he didn't fully understand it.

And until he did, he knew he couldn't fully rely on it in battle.

"Disappointing," Renjiro muttered, his gaze dropping from the mirror as he let out a small sigh.

"But I'll figure it out."

He shook his head, a determined expression settling on his face as he resolved to continue his training.

"I just need to keep on training to ensure I have access to it and the three gates longer than I can compared to now."

The fact that the fourth tomoe only appeared during the third gate was both a blessing and a curse.

On the one hand, it meant that he didn't have to worry about explaining its sudden appearance to the rest of the clan.

But on the other hand, it meant that he couldn't fully use it—not yet, at least.

"Besides," Renjiro muttered, a small smirk tugging at the corner of his lips,

"It has saved me the trouble of explaining how I got it to the rest of the clan."

With that thought in mind, Renjiro decided to call it a day. He had pushed his body to its limits, and now it was time to rest and recover.

Over the next few days, Renjiro fell back into his usual routine. The missions and responsibilities of the force took up most of his time, but he always made sure to set aside time for his personal training.

He continued to work on his efficiency with the three gates he had access to, pushing himself to master their power and control.

The training was gruelling, but Renjiro welcomed the challenge. Each session brought him closer to understanding the limits of his abilities and how to push beyond them.

The soreness in his muscles eventually faded, replaced by a growing confidence in his strength.

And so, Renjiro trained, day after day, honing his skills and pushing his limits. The days turned into weeks, and slowly, a month passed

Yet, despite his progress, Renjiro knew that there was still more to be done.

The other five gates loomed on the horizon—a challenge that he would face when the time was right.

But for now, he was content with the progress he had made.

"I think it's time for my squad to take up another mission," Renjiro said to himself.
