I worked all day since I’d been gone for my vacation. It was only the two of us because Paul and Nina had covered my shifts for the first time ever. I was completely fine with that. I was glad to have Kaitlyn with me while we had many customers throughout the day. Between taking care of people, I told my boss the full weekend story. I told her how I got to know Nico, winning Royce his prize, how I was scared to actually fall asleep next to Royce, and our argument.

There were details I kept to myself. I obviously didn’t explain why I was so secretive, the real reason why I hadn’t lost my virginity sooner, or a lot of minor details. I found ways around the full truths. But it felt incredible to finally talk about some of the things that had weighed heavily on my mind.
