Synopsis
Running from her past has become second nature to Carrigan. She has been on the move for four years, running from the ghost that haunts her dreams—a constant reminder to her every day. She settles in South Carolina with the people in her life knowing very little about her. When she feels the need to run again soon, she meets Royce.
Royce is fighting his own demons, too. After the death of his sister, he spends every waking moment working on the app that she fought so hard to develop. He found little enjoyment in life until he met Carrigan.
When the two meet, will the secrets from their past burden their daily lives and have them on edge, or is there a happy ending in their future? Or was it just meant to be a whiskey kind of love?

“You can trust me, Carrigan,” Royce whispers against my lips.
I inhale sharply, my heart pounding. “I know I can.”

Write a reviewwhat a fantastic story! I love the mystery aspect of Carrigan's past and who she's running from 👀 the story is well written and very engaging! I can't wait to read more 😊
Stereotypical or not, Nico is the best original British character I've liked in a while. His sarcasm and constant use of his British vernacular just to get on everyone's nerves is fantastic. His friendship with Royce is powerful, and I respect the author for showing readers that men can be in therapy, not just women. Carrigan's whit makes me laugh, and her friendship with her boss, Kaitlyn, is honestly refreshing. It's clear this author has put time and love into these chapters and characters. I can't wait to read more.
Great book! I love the characters and their banter with each other. The story line was intriguing and engaging. I couldn’t put the book down. The climax was very exciting and dramatic followed by a very happy ending. I highly recommend this book!
