Chapter 1: Martin

Martin 'The Snake', was undoubtedly the best fighter in the world. Even after his retirement, nobody was better than him in and outside the ring. His nickname 'The Snake' was given to him because of how bloody his fights were and how cunning he was against his opponents. In addition to dishing out some of the strongest punches, his speed and accuracy were on a whole another level. Standing at 1.9 meters tall no matter the size or weight of his opponent they were only met with defeat. The only thing he couldn't beat was time. All the money in the world did not matter to him, the thing he aimed for was Eternal Strength. The strength that doesn't fade with time and lasts for an eternity.

...

"Hmm..."

Martin looked at the unfamiliar ceiling with a frown on his face, this was not his room. It looked like some kid's room and very much different from his suite in LA(Los Angeles).

He was also feeling pretty darn weak, he quickly got up and headed to the bathroom, and without wasting any time he looked at the mirror. The face reflected in the mirror was a familiar face but much younger, about 16 years old. He had long black silky hair which reached his shoulders and covered most of his face. His face was skinny and he had dark circles under his eyes.

Martin frowned as he looked at his face in the mirror. He hated imperfections. Even with all the training he maintained his skin and was considered one of the hottest men on the planet. Now, looking at the skinny youth with unkempt hair and oily skin he felt uncomfortable.

He went into the shower and quickly cleaned himself then he trimmed his hair in the sides, parted his hair and swept it towards the back, and applied some gel so that it stays there. He looked in the mirror and nodded his head. Although he still looked skinny at least his skin was smooth and his dark circles were faint.

After searching for a decent dress for half an hour he found a simple black t-shirt and pants. He made sure they were tight so that it wouldn't look too baggy.

Finishing everything he headed outside the room and cooked himself something and thought about what he should do now. From the memories that he received when he was in the shower, he got quite some interesting information.

He lived in a small rented apartment and was an orphan. As an orphan, he was given a monthly allowance till the age of 16 by the Federation. The Federation was the strongest force on the planet and wielded immense power. He only managed to survive for so long because of this.

The world he was currently in was called Gaia. Gaia was also vastly different from Earth, it was many times bigger and humans here were able to awaken the mysterious powers of Totems. But, humans were not the only race present, the humans have been at war with the Fallen race for a thousand years. The Fallen race was a bloodthirsty race that fed on humans.

The Totem is a sacred symbol that manifests on a human when they reach the age of 16. This was also the reason Martin was given an allowance till he turned 16. All orphans were funded by the federation and were forced to join the Military Academy once they turn 16 and trained to fight against the Fallen race. Martin would also have to go to the Military Academy as he was turning 16 soon. In this world having a strong totem meant he could get a lot of privileges.

There were mainly three types of Totems, Weapon, Elemental, and Beast Totems. Martin was looking forward to what kind of Totem he would awaken. But, he would have to wait a month when he turned 16 in order to awaken. Martin felt it was better this way as he would have more time to prepare.

Martin did not waste any more time and got into it immediately. He made a schedule for the day and planned his workout thoroughly. If he followed this routine he would be able to achieve 50% of his previous life's fitness level. Which was more than enough to beat some kids his age.

He also had some savings from the allowance he got every month so he could afford some expensive high-protein food.

...

1 month later,

Martin stood in front of the mirror, shirtless. He went through a complete transformation in this 1 month. His muscles were still lean but contained powerful explosive strength. The 1-month training was mainly focused on building explosive strength and speed. He did not have much time to train his stamina. But unless he was ganged up by a few adults he would easily win any fight. This was the confidence of someone who earned the title of Earth's #1 fighter. Although he knew that Totem's played a huge role in one's strength in Gaia. He had fought people much stronger and faster than him before, he had his owns ways to handle them.

From this one-month training, he noticed that his body was much better than the one he had on Earth. In Gaia, human bodies have evolved due to the constant fighting against the Fallen race. Its adaptability increased so his body absorbed nutrients faster and he got better results than he expected. Right now, he had around 70% of his peak strength on Earth which was a lot of strength for a 16-year-old kid. Of course, kids on Gaia might be stronger than the ones on Earth but he was not worried, his fighting experience was on a whole another level.

Just as he was getting dressed he heard a knock on the door, he put on his black t-shirt and pants and headed towards the door. When he opened it he was greeted by a middle-aged man wearing a military uniform. He had a serious expression on his face and said,

"You must be Martin, we are leaving in 5 minutes so pack up quickly"

saying that he tapped on his watch and a hologram appeared on top of the watch showing the man's information.

Name: Luke Wells

Designation: Instructor

Rank: Captain

Martin confirmed the man's identity and quickly packed some nice clothes he brought with his savings and headed out. He did not have much else to take.

The middle-aged man was waiting outside the apartment, beside him there was a Huge Military bus, levitating on air Martin got on board and noticed that it was filled with kids his age. He found a seat near the window and sat down quickly.
