Synopsis

This story is just nothing but monologuing and info dumps. After 16 chapters there's still no plot to speak of, and the MC is sorta an idiot.
it could have have a good book but everything in it was bad. the story was all over the place. the character didn't ever stay consistent. it all just went straight to garbage
Btw. Good start. I like fanfic with si as lockhart. Lets see what happens...... ....................m.........mmm..............................m.........mmm..........
It is a great thing that you took time to build your character and his achievements, rather than rush everything at once. Hope to see more from this great story.
It started very strongly; however, the last 10 or chapters have been horribly boring. Effectively, a poor rehash of the exact events which happened in the book, without a slightest change. If I wanted a long summary, I'd just reread the actual book. The first 50 or so chapters where actually very interesting, had a distinct plot, but then he entered Hogwarts at the beginning of the 2nd book, and became a creepy stalker.

Not good, dropped after 17th chapter. MC's character bounces between annoying, incompetent and boring. Nothing to say about frequency of updates, neither positive or negative. Author spends way too much time describing unimportant drivel, if whole story will be written in such manner, it will take well over 1mil words to write down equivalent of 1 Harry Potter year. While I'm personally unimpressed and bored, if you enjoy this story, great for you and best of luck with future updates.
I remember reading this a few months back, I did some binge reading to catch back up. Must say, I feel that the quality of the writing is great, better than my memory had, maybe it was mixed with the other Gill Lockhart HP Fanfic from months ago? actually, probably... Anyways, this is a great read nonetheless as I just started back from the beginning in my binge read. Also, I checked and the author has a stable schedule for new chapters, which speaks volume not only for quality, but the discipline the author has for this great story to see it to the end.
I make sure to avoid putting 5 stars for 1 reason: the story needs to reach more chapters when you reach at least 50 chapters published I will put a 5 star review ...until then there is the fear that it will be dropped. onto the story: the slow updates make sure that the chapter are not too short and they are of good quality...it is still the beginning of the story but after a few initials doubts, I feel like this work deserve a review even though there are only 12 published chapters. The world background is obviously Hp but the author is already showing to be capable to add more elements in it that fit very well and in a way that won't stop him both to follow canon or alter it based on his plans. the mc is being flashed out very well and tbh the only thing beeded is to await more chapter to see the story develop. I am eafer to read more and I have a lot of expectations for this work

Surprise a ff with good writing quality and the new Gilderoy is a smart human being.
Quite intriguing with MC becoming the new Gildroy Lockhart and start fixing the mistakes that the old one left behind especially from Dumbledore not to mention the business venture that he is undertaking along with paying for all first year wands while the beginning of this book was a bit rough and not as interesting it later on in the book became more intriguing and interesting overall enjoyed reading this book do look forward to reading more and curious for what will happen next while also look forward for when ur able to get the chance to continue on with this book
while I would love to love this fanfic there are a few issues I have with it... firstly, there's no NTR tag, and there's definitely the intention, secondly... this person has the opportunity to make Gilderoy a legend... yeah that's not happening, Gilderoy has done nothing but improve his mind magic and is on 2 years into the Hogwarts curriculum... he's mostly pining after woman as a "priority"

it was starting good, but with each chapter quality drops - currently at the point where Lockhart teaches at hogwarts and for some reason he tries to portray himself as close to original as possible - even tho there was really no need for it to be - its basically copy paste of original with minimal changes. Not to mention authot notes at the start and end of chapter are becoming longer and longer - they are like 30% of chapter's length at this point

I had high expectations but it turned out to be a disappointment. After the first chapter the story became a boring internal monologue and unnecessary information dump.
