When demons enter the world, they always spread a path of death, destruction, and demonic energy.
Demonic energy, also known as miasma, could corrupts whatever it comes into contact with; usually turning any living being into an unholy and tainted creature that couldn't even be compared to regular monsters.
Unbeknownst to many, mana was also effecting the underworld. This was especially true after the seven heroes defeated the demon lord and his army before sealing the portals between the two worlds.
After almost a century, the relatively small amount of mana within the underworld gathered within the red rock walls of where the formerly first portal into the mortal world was located.
Although the amount of mana gathered was relatively small when scaled to an entire world, it was more than enormous when focused into single singularity.
While newborn imps were spawning from the bloody waters or fleshy walls, nobody noticed the small piece of ruby that formed from the enormous amount of mana. Which was reasonable due to most demons spawning and evolving to detected and control miasma, not mana. The only demons who could control or detect mana were those who were born in the mortal world or those who made contracts with someone from the mortal world.
Focusing our attention back to the small piece of ruby, if one looked closely, they could see some shade of star light red within the dark red ruby. To those who are more knowledgeable, the ruby was a young dungeon core with a high affinity toward the fire and demonic elements, while also having a slight affinity towards the holy and space elements.
Although already strange for a dungeon core to form within the underworld, the fact that it had four affinities and an affinity towards the holy element made the situation even more surreal. But once one considering the remnant holy and space energy left behind by the heroes sealing spell, the situation became more reasonable or understandable.
Meanwhile, as time passed, the dungeon core began to wiggle and move before absorbing the red rock around it. After turning the red rock into ether, the dungeon core turned the ether into mana.
As the dungeon core continued to absorb the red rock around it, the dungeon core slowly started sinking further into the wall before forming a perfectly circular cave that was 5 meters wide.
After absorbing the red rock and creating a tunnel 50 meters deep, the dungeon stood still before absorbing the red rock in a larger radius.
Once the radius of the room was 25 meters, the dungeon core started becoming sapient and aware of its surroundings.
Though, the thoughts the young dungeon core had were still to primitive and were more emotions or concepts. Within the dungeon core's... mind?... it mostly expressed curiosity and confusion.
