Raizel could feel his thought process going haywire and he tightly held the hand of the tall mundane, his eyes imploring for answers he did not know, "Why? Why did I let him?" 

Nathan stood rooted to the spot and the puzzles fit into place. "Ooh! He told you." That explained it better. He looked at Raizel, at this moment he was the put-together guy he had always known. 

His hands trembled so slightly and his eyes were a little unfocused. The reaction was quite big but not unexpected.
