Chapter 57: Secret recipes and a promise

Raizel frowned. From the moment he woke up, the youth had been kind and helpful. Very considerate and gentle. He had never used his own words against him before. 

Lyle had never teased him before. In his entire life, only two people had done so before.

Lyle seemed to notice his mood so he smiled, "Don't mind me. I was just making the syrup on the stove. It needs to cool down a bit before it is served."

"Alright." Maybe he was just mistaken. 

Lyle poured the syrup into a jar. Now that was done, he started to bring the food to the table. For breakfast today, he had planned to indulge Raizel's sweet tooth for a bit.

It should be ready now. He opened the oven and started bringing out the baking tins that were lined with various pastries.
