Chapter 146: Finding Comfort

Ring! 

The phone on the table standing dining, causing Raizel to pause his grinding of ink.

He had just returned accompanying the students to the floating city and had returned straight home. Although the teachers were interested in chatting, Raizel was not feeling up to it. 

"Are you going to pick up your phone?" Peter asked.

Even while other residents of the Seventh Alley had taken to skirting around him out of fear or awe since he tweaked the space around the Alley making it impossible for outsiders to find, Peter remained the same. Raizel was grateful.

Raizel reached the phone and his eyes glided to the name of the caller causing him to pause momentarily. He answered the call before it could stop, leaving the dining area to the backyard.
