Chapter 125: A stir

It was so familiar that it tugged at his heartstrings. Lyle knew he could get used to this every day.

He woke up early to Buddhist sounds from the window. He was sitting cross-legged before a very familiar stone steel.

It was the same stone steel that had been in their former home. He narrowed his eyes at the memorial tablet. 

Was it Raizel's friend whom he had killed? The friend that had been the cause of yesterday's breakdown.

Once Raizel lets him into his heart, he was going to destroy the tablet.

A childish vindictiveness in his mind whispered for him to destroy every trace of that man in Raizel's life.

Was that a terrible thing to do? It was, wasn't it?
