The next contestant to be on the battlefield was Kane and Jason. They looked at each other with an intense gaze, knowing that one of them had the disadvantage of the fight. 

Kane, a boy with raven-black hair and black eyes, wielded a pair of dual blades. He held the disadvantage of the fight since he used shadows magic and there wasn't much shadows during a sunny day.

Jason, his opponent, had brown hair along with striking emerald-green eyes. He wielded both a shield and short sword for the fight. Unlike Kane, he didn't have a disadvantage as his magic involved using Nature.

"Start!" Patrice announced.

Unlike the other fights, the boys slowly circled around each other, awaiting for one of them to move from their position. This process continued for ten minutes, causing the onlookers to become bored with the fight and talk to each other.

"Why do you suppose they're doing this?" Leonidas asked Lycaon, who was stood beside him.
