Chapter 3: CH-3 Class D
Light thought about Ryuk proposal calmly. For him, purging the criminal was a mission even before he had a death note, but death note could make the process faster and simpler. It will create a big impact like his previous world.
"Alright, I will play with your game for the last time Ryuk. I will create L, no I will create someone who surpass L, but I will create Kira too. Even if the new Kira can't surpass me, but I will make him/her closest to me as possible." Light said to Ryuk with resolved. If he was going to went back to his previous world then this world will continue to have filths, so creating another Kira could solved this problem. He will nurture both L and Kira and have them killed each other while he was cleaning the filth with death note in another world.
"That's really a good idea Light! Even I'm not sure if I can find someone like you, but if it is you who nurture both of them then it will be more interesting when the truth was reveal at the climax!" Ryuk said while his body was madly shacking from excitement.
"I will go then, it's almost class time after all." Light said and walked away from Ryuk to class 1-D. While he was walking, he felt Ryuk was floating after him. He turned around to faced Ryuk.
"Why are you following me, Ryuk?" Light asked Ryuk who still had a madly excited expression.
"Of course, it's to enjoy my appetizer before the main dish was serve." Ryuk said
"Whatever, but you have to help me when I asked you to do something in exchange, I will give you an apple deal?" Light asked Ryuk who suddenly drooling.
"If it was a bag full of apples then I don't mind." Ryuk said expertly
"It's a deal then." Light said and continued his way to class 1-D
Light arrived at class 1-D; in the room he saw some of the students had arrived. He noticed 4 students who he met at the bus was also in this class. He glanced at them for a moment and focused on a young man of average height with blonde hair and brown eyes. He seems to be surrounded by the group of girls.
'Communication check.' Light thought as he was going to create L and Kira, he had to have a criterion. The basic criterion for L is to have extremely meticulous and analytical thought process and an excellent fighting skill. As for Kira, the idea to purge the filths was a must. Good communication, lie expert, and excellent thought process was needed too.
Light walked to his seated on the right side of the long black hair women. He recognized that on the left side of the women, sat a brown hair man with dead face. He remembered that it was this man who was watching the woman breast the entire time on the bus and was stopped by the woman when he was going to escaped.
'What an unlucky pervert.' He thought and forgot about this topic immediately as it was a trivial matter, the man must had had a rough morning already, but he had to keep a closed eyes on him to not let him do immoral things in future.
Light sat on his seat and inspected his classmate. He began to categorize his classmate into 3 typed. 1st was trash. 2nd was usable trash. 3rd was approved. From his rough observation, about half of the class was trash and only a handful was approved. The approved type was the people who he thought he could nurture to become L or Kira.
"Light, you are sandwiched by two beautiful women, aren't you a lucky guy." Ryuk said with playfulness in his tone.
'Shut up, Ryuk. Go find a hidden camera in this room and I will give you a bag of apples.' Light whispered to Ryuk who was floating behind him. He already noticed 4 hidden cameras in this classroom, but he asked Ryuk to make sure that he got every camera position.
"Roger." Ryuk said and floating around the room looking for hidden cameras.
"Excuse me, did you say something to me?" the black hair woman called him. Light turned his head toward her and smiled.
"Nothing, I'm just a little nervous because it was my first time in this school. My name is Light Yagami, nice to meet you." Light said still smiling with friendliness.
"Is that so, and I didn't ask your name." the black hair woman replied rudely.
'Rude.' Light thought
"Wait! Did you say your name is Light Yagami?" the black hair woman suddenly shouted on his face.
"Yes, my name is Light Yagami. Do you know me?" Light asked puzzledly.
"No one will not recognize your name! You're the genius who got perfect score in the national exam!" the woman continued to shout his information to the entire class to know.
"Amazing!" Classmate 1 said.
"Such an amazing person is my classmate." Classmate 2 whispered.
"I'm sorry for being rude early, Light kun. My name is Suzune Horikita." Horikita bowed and introduced herself with a small smile on her face.
"It is alright, nice to meet you1 Horikita san, I hope we can have a pleasant time in this school." Light said with a friendly smile on his face. But in his heart, he thought that Horikita was confirmed another usable trash in this classroom. No communication skill checked. No analysis skill checked. No lie experience vibes checked. Had a well train body, but doesn't mean she knew martial art. An arrogant attitude that could be created just by being good at exam.
'Someone this incompetent couldn't inherit L will nor my will.' Light thought, then he saw a teacher came in the classroom.
"Let's end our talk for now, Horikita san. Teacher has already arrived." Light said and started to pay attention to the teacher who was in front of the class.
"Okay, let's talk more after class." Horikita nodded and started to pay attention to the teacher after Light end the conversation.

Author notes: When I started writing this chapter, I was thinking whether I should use the Anime class D which has 25 students or Light novel class D which has 40 students. In the end, I decided to use Anime class D which has 25 students and have Light replaced someone name Wataru Ijūinl. I don't know who he is, I just find in fandom to find the seat of the original character.
