Chapter 3: CHAPTER 3: THE ANNUAL ROOKIE CELEBRATION GALA
THIRD PERSON'S POV:
Joshua Ryans led the way for Kara and Ronnie to the front most table, where the rest of the Krystal members were sitting.
"Hey, you two are here. Where's Ellie?" Peter whispered. He was wearing a an Indigo colored, dress shirt and had his copper brown hair styled neatly. "She stayed behind to talk to Ruby- Oh there she comes" Ronnie said pointing behind Peter. Ellie took her seat next to her brother and Kara and Ronnie sat between Ethan and Peter.
"Ladies and Gentlemen! Welcome!" The Krystals looked around. Joshua had gone up to the stage without them noticing.
"It is my uttermost pleasure to be welcoming the brightest and most hard working idols of this year from our two companies. The award ceremony will begin now." There was a round of applause as 3 rookie solo idols walked up to the staged followed by 2 bands from both the labels. The award ceremony was basically rewarding the rookies in different categories.
After it was finished Ryans called onto some seniors from each company to give a few words. At last Alec, who is the leader of the Krystals was called.
"I knew they were going to call on me this year" Alec muttered and smiled to the applauding crowd. Ethan pat him one the back and said "good luck" in a low voice. Alec walked over to the stage. He looked dashing as ever wearing a charming suit with a neat bowtie.
"Thank you Mr.Ryans. It is an honor to be able to come up here and be the one to encourage these young men and women to follow their hearts. As a veteran of 5+ years, I have learnt that you can't just gain success without having passion for your job..." Alec finished his speech with confidence and walked back to the table. "You did well! When did you even have the time to prepare for it?" Ellie asked, still applauding, with the rest of the hall. Alec just shrugged and gave a faint smile.
The event carried on for a few more hours. The celebrities were busy having their pictures being taken. Some male idols had asked their seniors to do a few challenges with them to post on their socials. Food was also served.
Joshua and Kara spent a lot of time chatting about work and this and that. Eunbi, who was standing with Ethan with drinks in their hands, kept sighing and rolling her eyes, looking at the pair. "You really hate him don't you?" Ethan asked her with a smirk. "He's a playboy! He's a disgusting two-faced bastard who has gotten himself in the most vicious of scandals and he's got the nerve to make a move on my best friend? Of course, I hate him!" Ronnie hissed at him.
"I get it. But Kara's a grown up. I'm sure she knows too that Ryans is nothing but a snake. I have a feeling she just wants some info from about that case.. she thinks he's connected to it somehow." Ethan said keeping his voice low so nobody hears them. "She may find him suspicious, but she really does have a crush on him... What about your friend, Ryle Mason? Kara seemed to like him, the last time she met him" Ronnie looked over at Ethan who starting laughing.
"Please! Kara loathes Ryle. She may have stalked him on the internet a little but that was only 'cause she thought he was the most handsome guy she'd laid eyes on." Ethan said while rolling his eyes. "Plus, Ryle hates her even more- finds her annoying for being so nosy about the 'enac's business."
"You two talking about my best friend, are you?" It was Sam Anderson. A famous actor under the same labels as Joshua Ryans and the best friend of Ryle Mason. Sam had made his feelings about a certain Krystal member quite clear since day one.
Sam had dyed his naturally black hair to dark brown. His golden beige skin was shining and his hazel eyes had hearts in them when he looked at Ethan.
"Go be nosy somewhere else" Ethan scowled at him. "Don't worry Sam. Ethan's just a bit sore that you manged to catch that guy before his brother. I'm sure one day he'll open up his heart to you too." Ronnie said jokingly. The guy Sam liked was none other than Ethan Clayton. They had actually met through Kara because Sam is also a special agent of OENAC, under the department of Scientific investigating, whose head just so happens to be Kara's older sister, Caitlin Silver.
Kara had just finished talking to Joshua, as the guests had started leaving and wanted to say their goodbyes to the host, and made her way to them
"Hey Sam! What's up. Has my sister been keeping you too busy. I haven't heard from her in a while"
" yea, you're lucky you left when you did. It's literal hell here. Ryle's been pressuring the entire department to be quicker with the official report on the Watson case, which should takes at least 6 days, but he's paying overtime, so the other agents don't really mind. And Caitlin reckons she may know where Malcolm's been hiding this time and is having us work harder than ever, with the great Ryle Mason's permission of course, and- oh crap. I wasn't supposed to say that to you of all people, was I?" Sam sighed, scratching his head nervously.
"Cait reckons she knows where Malcolm is and she hasn't said a single word to me?!" Kara asked, hurt, knowing her sister has been lying to her.
