Chapter 115: Drama

I would have to get my room repaired, and soon. I didn't like it, but I couldn't get away with leaving it like that. Neat, and tidy was one of the military requirements. I'd never bothered learning about the guilds, and factions you could join once you finished the required two year service rotation after graduation. Abilities were pretty much required for almost all of them so I'd written them off.

Then there were the illegal unregistered groups. Composed of poachers, and criminals. Like our own magic space mafia. Groups like the Archaic Word. I know lamest name ever. They believed that humans were the lesser species, and that our worlds were meant to be ruled by the Archaics.

Right now I had to think of all of them as my enemies as well as the Elves, and other Archaic species that started this whole war in the first place. It gave me a headache just thinking about it so for now. I would go get some food, and hope that this house of lies I was building wouldn't collapse on me until I was ready for it. I yawned as I stepped back into the common area with my bonded. I was starting to get worn out, but this was by far an improvement compared to the constant exhaustion I had before so I wouldn't complain.

I gripped Savannah's wrist tightly when we got to the elevator, and flushed her body with mana.

"Wyatt?" Savannah started breathing like she'd just run a marathon, "I told you not to do that."

"We all need to get stronger Savannah," I let go of her wrist, "You're the weakest out of the three of us. Besides I'm basically incapable of hurting you with mana."

"That's not the point jackass!" Savannah snapped at me as the elevator opened.

She took off ahead of us angrily. I didn't really care. I wasn't going to push myself to get stronger so I had to look after weaklings who couldn't hold their own. They needed to be strong enough to hold their own. At least for a little while.

Otherwise they would both die if I wasn't around to protect them. I couldn't be around all the time. Dinner was pleasantly filling. Even though I pretty much just choked down as much meat as I could get each time. It didn't seem like I was capable of over eating.

I just stopped when I felt full. There were different levels of full though. Right now I was full full. Kind of made me feel like my stomach was just like a gas tank on the antique 90's trucks that no longer existed outside of museums. Anything under a quarter tank, and it was a waste of time to try to use the truck for anything important. Nothing like the vehicles we used nowadays.

I think those old trucks got ten or fifteen miles to the gallon. The vehicles nowadays used mostly electric powered engines. One gallon of fuel was kept as a reserve fuel source. But gasoline was two hundred credits a gallon so no one could really afford to spend that kind of money on an antique. Never mind the fact that parts for those ancient useless vehicles had to be custom made each time they broke which was another expense no one could really afford.

Ethan, and I dropped off our plates. Heading to the room together for a good nights sleep. Savannah didn't come with us this time. I'd pissed her off pretty good this time, but the number on her watch was five now so I'd accomplished what I'd wanted to do in the first place. I'd used nearly thirty mana just to increase her mana by ten.

Kind of wasteful really. It seemed I would have to overfill my mana reserve by quite a bit to make it go up forcefully, but Savannah wasn't strong enough to force my reserve to expand just yet. Not the way I could with hers. Expanding someone's mana reserve seemed to be mana expensive. I needed to find out what refilling her reserve would cost me.

There weren't many places Savannah could cast spells around the school. It would have to be tomorrow. Goliath's club room was empty a lot of the time nowadays. Well except for Goliath that is, but as a teacher he already knew Savannah was a mage. It wouldn't be surprising for her to come to his room to practice her spellcasting.

We'd just have to stay after we're dismissed. It seemed as if Savannah was something of an angry personality. To a certain degree that made me wish for the time when she was afraid, and kind of quiet. I guess I would have to deal with it. After all I was the idiot that bonded to her, and as our bond got stronger we'd have more access to each others emotions.

I kind of wondered what would happen if we all felt the same strong emotion at the same time. Ethan wasn't connected to Savannah like I was, and Savannah wasn't connected to Ethan. It was almost as if there was a barrier between their minds within my mind. Their emotional state seemed to affect me less now that I was older. I went to my room as soon as we got back, and did my usual switch routine.

I dozed off pretty quickly. The alarm barely brought me out of my peaceful slumber the next morning. I started stretching like I'd used to, but quickly realized that I was way too big to stretch out in my room anymore. An irritated hiss made its way through my teeth as I whipped my tail around in irritation. I couldn't do shit in here anymore.

The only things I could do comfortably in this confined space was sit, lay down, and sleep. My room was quickly becoming a cage of my own making. I switched back to my human form, and pulled my clothes, and shoes on in an angry fashion. Stepping out of my room, and slamming the door behind me. I didn't like being in my human form all the time, and pretending to be something I wasn't.
