Chapter 627: 13

I snarled out of pain. It took me physical effort to keep my wings beating. This needed to end now. I rushed forward in flight to catch the beast unaware while he was still writhing in pain. I grabbed onto his wings, and dug my teeth into his back as he dug his teeth into my shoulder.

My wings weren't strong enough to hold our weight, and I'd already tied up his so we started falling. It wouldn't take long for us to meet the ground. What was a little more pain on top of the immense pain I was already feeling? The opposite was true for him. The ground rushing toward him was a real threat.

Especially with me falling on top of him. My weight would crush him when we hit the ground. I could use the light element, and he could not so I could repair my body, but he could not. If I was going to make a suicide play then I might as well go all out. I added gravity magic to the mix.

Strengthening the gravitational pull on our bodies by several levels all at once. There was a chance I could die when I hit the ground with him. I was already cycling healing light through my body. I didn't really know or care what happened when I hit the ground. I just really wanted the pain, and convulsions to stop.

We hit the ground hard a second after I had that thought. The impact rippled through my body. Sending shockwaves of pain through me. I didn't get it as bad as my opponent though. He'd not only struck the hard ground first, but my added weight slammed into him right after.

He was still alive, but I was pretty sure that every bone in his body was broken. The impact had forced his teeth all the way through the flesh of my shoulder. I'd lost a good sized chunk of my shoulder, and a large number of my bones were also broken. The difference between my injuries, and his injuries was mainly that I was healing, and he was not. I straightened slowly as I cracked my limbs back into place one by one.

Being in immense pain to start with actually seemed to be helping now. I did feel more pain from the broken bones, but it distracted from the pain of my core. While my core distracted from the pain of my broken bones. My two separate distinct sources of pain were each distracting me from the other source of pain. That gave me a small amount of clarity that allowed me to heal myself slowly.

I knew this pain in my core wasn't going to go away until all the impurities had been flushed out of my body. I'd done some serious damage to my core when I used mana. This was going to be a problem for my plans for the future. I wouldn't be able to use mana without risking even more damage to my core for at least a week. Sekka didn't have that long.

Somehow I fucked up again. I roared out in frustration rage. Then I ripped out his throat with a single bite. Killing him on the spot. Standing strong in appearance only.

My pet landed beside me, and roared in support of me. Wyverns were intentionally limited by the elves. They're level of strength was pathetic compared to what I was expecting. Between Vermillion, and her mother I expected a lot more. Vermillion, and her mother were both strong enough to kill me.

None of these wyverns were strong enough to kill me one on one. It was disappointing really. I wanted to meet some strong opponents, and so far all I'd seen that could impress me were the elves themselves. Then again this was a planet that the elves had conquered so maybe the planet hadn't had enough time to properly evolve some powerful beasts of its own. Then again this planet hadn't reached the point of overpopulation yet.

They simply let this massive hoard of wyverns do what they wished. That meant that killing them wasn't worth the trouble yet. They'd realize their mistake soon. A terrifying toothy grin spread across my face. I didn't have to have any power of my own to make this work.

Even if my core was damaged the elves wouldn't know that, and now I had an army two thousand strong bowing to me in submission. If only those two thousand had riders of their own even if it was temporary. I just had to give off the impression of overwhelming power, and with the amount of power my damaged core was giving off. I knew I would be able to at least fake it enough to make them think twice. Now I just needed to think of how our army would present itself.

Sekka

I'd given them everything I knew except what Wyatt himself was. They feared the image of a dragon. Something someone like me had never even heard of before. Most of the elven population would have no idea what a dragon was, but the nobles did, and they feared them. Even now as I laid on the ground completely naked except a dirty cloth to cover my manhood.

The protection that Wyatt placed on me had broken once the elves really went at it. The problem was that the spell must be linked to me somehow because it always came back within a few hours. It wasn't much, but it was annoying enough that they had looked for another way to get me to talk. That was when they went after my mother. It wasn't hard to find her since she'd been in the capital this whole time.

The fact that my former master was dead hadn't gone completely unnoticed as I originally thought. They'd been suspicious of him for some time. Our secretive way of sending them cryptic messages had given us away. I didn't think much of it, but now they were beating my mom to get information out of me. My refusal to speak was getting my mom beat.
