Chapter 7: surgeon Catherine and physician John went back to the island
Catherine went out of the directors office and met with physician John, he said to him, John let us go back to the island, replied john, to the island? Catherine say yes back to the island, John ask her we are not here for the surgery? Did the director did not approve it, then let us go to the Assemblyman and explain to him but Catherine say No let us just go back for now, they both left and went to pick there car, on there way going physician John asked so what was your conclusion with the director, did he approve of transferring the patient? Catherine reply no, he said we can do the surgery here but he want me to leave immediately before and after the surgery but I let him know about what senior professor did, John ask what! You told him about it? And what was his reply. Catherine say he ask me to go for now that he will do his findings.
They arrived at the hospital in the island and everybody were outside waiting for them, the welcome them and ask why are they not performing the surgery again or you all done, how is health now asked Raymond. Catherine said I will explain about it later, where is the senior professor? One of the nurse replied he his inside his office waiting for you, Catherine goes straight to the senior professor's office,she knocked and say oit is me Catherine, the senior professor say come, he said welcome I was waiting for you, physician John told me on phone that your director did not want you for the surgery, did he know that it is the assemblyman that ask for you, Catherine reply yes sir he know, senior professor said then why did he not want you to perform the surgery, surgeon Catherine say I had an issue with him before I left the hospital then and that is why he his not approving me, the senior professor said then we must find a way because if the assemblyman could ask for his surgery from one of our doctors here that is a great opportunity for our hospital here, we could get his help. Catherine reply him do not worry sir I will get sort out. The senior professor say Ok I will trust you on this, please do sort it as quick, thank you.
On getting outside of the senior professor's office, Catherine met with John in is office, John say to her I guess we should alert the assemblyman man on this case, you need to come clean to him and let him know before the director change his mind, Catherine say don't worry he won't do anything anymore but to find out about his son's death case, I know him very to be an intelligent man.
John asked Catherine, can I take you out for dinner? Please let do this,I really wish too, Catherine looking at him with a suspense eye but Catherine quickly say please don't think otherwise, I just wish to take you out to relax, eat good food, gist and you can feel relax again from the stress you have gone through today. Okay replied Catherine, they both depart and the night comes, they both dressed beautifully, physician John waiting outside for Catherine saw her coming as she approach him, he said wow!.. you look amazing, Catherine smiles and say thank you, you look more handsome too, thank you for the compliment said John.
They hope in John car and went to the restaurant John as already booked, they both order what they want and they ate and gist, John said let us go to the bar and have some wine, Catherine said do we need to? John replied yes I feel you need it tonight. Catherine smirk and said Ok let us go, they both went to the bar at the restaurant, John requested for a shot of whiskey, Catherine drank it at once without blinking an eye, John said woww! I don't know if you are this good at drinking, he said to the bartender, give us another shot each, both drank it and continued till they drank ten each. Catherine shouted yes I am not going home tonight, she burst into tears and John asked why are you crying she said I just feel like crying, I don't know why all this is happening to me, I tried my best to be the youngest female surgeon in the city but why all this is happening to me..
Physician John said let us go home but Catherine was staggered and about to fall then John carried her in his arm and took her to the car, in the car they both went silent and looking at each eye ball romantically, then John hug her and he kissed her forehead, he wanted to kiss her on her lip but a call came in and they quickly loose each other, she picked her phone from her bag and check the caller, it was Raymond. She picked the call and Raymond said where are you Catherine, she replied I will be there soon, Raymond said are you with John again, she said yes and what about that, we just went out for dinner, Raymond said Catherine I need to tell you something, I need to see you tonight but John collect the phone from her and Said to Raymond, I do not think you will be able to see her tonight because she is not fine, please let her rest tonight and you guys can talk tomorrow, Raymond reply know I must see her this night because it is important I see her tonight, John hanged up the call, he start the car and they left, they got to the hospital but to there surprise they met the nurses, Raymond, the senior professor of the hospital and the senior professor of her former hospital outside waiting for them. They walked to them, Catherine say hello to the senior professor and said what are you doing here sir.
