Synopsis

"As a mistress, you are to satisfy me in bed, as a human you shall satisfy me with your blood. And about your soul, I shall own it henceforth."

An ancient blind demon suddenly gains freedom after being incarcerated for a thousand years. Since the body he had possessed had died and begun to rot, he goes around looking for a body to inhabit and begins his revenge in the modern world by killing off every descendant of the people who had locked him in the forbidden dungeon.

Until the day, he possessed a young outcast turning him into a blind, ferocious, pathetic child beast whose aim is to regain his sight at all cost.

*

She has a secret. Never let anyone see your hair. But what happens when this innocent girl disobeys and even trusts an outcast blind boy, who appears to be more than willing to regain his sight? She decided to help him only to discover that she had helped the devil himself.

Then many years later, they reunited only to be separated again and become great enemies.

For Delilah to kill the possessed man, she is to go into the past, into the 19th century, where demons don't exist so that she would successfully be able to kill him.

But unfortunately, life can't be scripted. She is reincarnated as a princess whose father had planned to sell her to a ruthless ruler and never knew she had a past until she is stuck with him.

He is a pawn to a demon, she is a pawn to him.

EXCERPT REWRITTEN BY @BrewingFantasies

The destroyed mirrors, locked rooms, split identities, curses, blood, flapping curtains, moonlight, thunder, and him_ the living dead!

"You know what happened in the haunted house, right?"
The man stared at her neck menacingly, while she was pinned to the wall.

"Who are you?"
She pushed him with trembling lips and shaking hands. She tried to sound convincing with the hollow threat.
"Let me go! I'll have your head wrung off if you don't release me. Do you know who I am?"

A nonchalant reply reverberated.
"I do. A pampered spoiled brat, who leeches her papa's money."
He grinned at her deliberately, knowing that his attention commanded her love.

"You know, I love you that way. Ever since the first day we met. Tch, my feisty wild cat."
He added, lovingly.

"The very first day we met?"
She muddled. His cold touch caressed her cheek, sending sparks down her spine.

Why did his eyes look so familiar? "The b...lind boy? Is that you?"
She clenched her fists together in horror.

"Yes. I'm back to take what is mine. I need the eyes you stole."
He paused, leaning over the scared woman. She could see the insatiable hunger in his crimson eyes.

"And a lot more like your body, since we are not kids anymore."
The man licked right below her earlobe, making her crave more for his touch.

Omi I can't believe I got too caught up reading earlier that I forgot to give a proper review. Ok so first things first Writing Quality: This has to be one of the smoothest stories I've read on Webnovel. The grammar was actually flawless, and both the dialogue and descriptions were perfect. I loved the details that you gave to the setting and the characters. I think they truly made the world come alive. Story Development: You don't know how happy I was when I saw the words "historical fiction." Like omiii I love love loveee a good historical fiction, and the details that you added were soooo gooooood (plus the added fantasy elements and all). Character Design: I must admit you got me at chapter one. Like I've never wanted to charge into a web novel and smack a character so much >:( But on the other side, I could really see all of the emotions coming into play, and it seemed that every character properly built I'm excited to keep reading!!!

[Reviewed on; 12-09-22] [Reading status: 14 chapters] [Reviewer: aysel inara] -*-*-*-*-*- REMARKS; - Title is catchy and i must say i loved the cover. - At first i wanted the names of characters in the synopsis but after reading the chapters i know now why it was kept a mystery. Nonetheless, the synopsis lacks a hook. - Chapter 1 was good enough considering the fl was supposed to marry someone else but she chose to share bed with Oswald. We don't see a 'non-white lotus' female lead often. So, 10 points here from my side. - The mystery about who is the groom is kept throughout. Somebody please tell me the name at least. At first i actually thought it would be Oswald with hidden identity, then my guess switched to Cole. Please, tell me the name. LOL. I have read 14 chaps just to find out ONE NAME. - I am not sure how i feel about the FL personality, i liked how she was crafted in the beginning. But the adoption of that little witch scene put me off, you don't poke your nose in other's matters like that. That too in another kingdom, where you are not favoured, it's equivalent to making so many enemies knowingly. - Elvis seems a good character but with a suspicious aura. There are too many people at once. I want to see more of Issac and the maid from FL homeland. However, i am still contemplating the words said by Issac 'he ruined my sister, i was there." Where was he? Was he talking about FL? - Too much mystery too hook you. - However, lastly, the narration went a bit itty bitty at times. It went too fast, too slow, too confusing. The scenes switched too fast at times. But i understand it's the first work which are mostly experimental, mine first 2 works too. - The idea, plot, cliffhangers, style is great. Just the execution needs to be a bit more clear and neat. I am sure it will be in next book.

Author... I've to say... Your book refreshed my views in a FL book. The world building is good, the character design is pretty cool, the story had a great potential, Only 3 chapters, but it hooks me since the beginning. I like the descriptions, and I'm intrigued by what's coming next! Thanks for your hard work, keep going! I'mm wait for more chapters.

Definitely, an interesting take on the usual female lead forced to marry males that they don't want to. The female lead isn't childish, stupid, or weak-willed that she would need to rely on the male for everything, which I find nice. It's a pretty interesting story for what it is.

The story is pretty good, and I do enjoy reading it. If you keep writing like this, this will help succeed as a Webnovel Author. Good chaps so far

Read till chapter 3. So far the plotline is really good and I can imagine scenes going smoothly within my mind as I read. There were some mistakes and certain words which looked a bit off with respect to era the story' is revolving in but later it improved drastically. Even the dialogue felt like that of noble society, as it should be. Good luck author!

First two chapters but I already wish there were more. The language used is very romantic and sucks you into this world. You can feel every emotion conveyed perfectly and can feel the Mc's pain. Love the old English writting style. It's done effortlessly.

Boy do you love exposition. I am not a fan of exposition. That being said. For a historical novel you can get away with a little more. However, don't let it get in the way of the story. There were a couple of places where the exposition almost ruined big reveals. Look at your work and ask yourself, how much do I really need for the story, be honest about it. I swear you'll improve

So far this story has potential. I am interested to learn more about the husband that has waited for the MC. I am enjoying the descriptions and the setting. While I have read stories with the mysterious ML and reluctant princess before, I think this one could still lead to something unique and I am interested to see what it will be. Notes to the author: there are some grammar issues, and be careful with your dialogue choices in a historical romance. A proofreader could help with those. Also break up your paragraphs. Generally smaller paragraphs do better on WN for mobile reading but they also highlight the contents of the paragraph better than a block of text.

Interesting story, so far. This is a dark and gritty romance. Right from the start, you can see the story bare its fangs at you, you can see that there will probably be a lot of tragedy before the leads actually get together. The author is really good at writing, their skills are real. You can feel yourself being gripped by the plot ad it drags you in. The slow build up and tension, how it seems that everything that can go wrong... will go wrong. Personally, I am not a huge fan of tragic romances, but the author's writing is good enough to have me look past that. My only advice is to keep a regular update schedule I guess. Best of luck author!

A good story so far. The storyline is kinda cliche, so I'm waiting to see where it diverges from the norm. The writing quality is good, but the synopsis definitely needs an edit. Overall, a good novel, just waiting for more chapters.

Wow the drama in these two chapters. I could feel the dread of the situation conveyed in this authors words. My only complaint is I want to read more! ☺️ I have added this to my library and I will be keeping up with this story.

So, the reason this isn't a five, is because, we don't know much about the world they are living in, but aside from that, this was very fun, you can tell the author knows how to write from the first paragraph! the main character is well written, and the begining of the story hooks you in, especially, spoiler, the man she will be married to! in the end, this is 100% recommend reading!
