Chapter 53: Chapter Fifty-three

Gabriel was a breath away from catching Ariana when suddenly, a line of guards, alerted by the disturbance, materialized in front of him and obstructed his path. He skidded to a halt breathing heavily, his chest still stained with blood.

The guards had heard the commotion and had come to see what was happening. Recognition flashed in their eyes, and they snapped to attention, saluting the alpha, and parting ways to allow him through.

"Sir, is everything alright? Do you need any assistance?" one of the guards inquired, his tone a mix of concern and respect.

Gabriel ignored them and ran out of the door. He saw Ariana running across the courtyard, towards the gate. He ran after her, hoping to catch her before she got away.

"Stop her!" he yelled to the guards at the gate.
