Several men chasing behind her made Ma Liling run like there is no tomorrow. Although she is wearing a skirt her rubber shoes and the jumper pants inside of her long skirt made her not worry about anything else as she just dashes through the corridor and into the stairs.
"Get her! Block her path!" shouted the goons behind her.
Meanwhile, at this time, Yu Bai is actually observing the situation from a nearby corridor while three thugs as already blocking the lower portion of the stairs.
He has a bad premonition that they are after his wife, so he quickly made a move and with a quick and silent stride, he easily takes down the three thugs to the ground, and then he hid in the corner.
At this time, Ma Liling's figure suddenly appears from the stairs as she jumps from a few meters then landed while rolling to the ground.
Her mask was removed along with her ball cap which showed her pretty face.
She glances behind her and saw a few men looking at her with shock in their eyes. But her beauty made those men ogled her like hungry wolves. They also noticed their comrades on the ground and were angry at the beauty that knocks them out.
They all thought that it was Ma Liling who takes down those three men. So, although they wanted to catch her, they are also apprehensive of her ability.
Ma Liling did not have time to linger or ask some questions on how those three were knocked down, she just quickly dashed towards the corner where Yu Bai is hiding. And her action made Yu Bai feel a bit stunned. He has seen this woman a few times before and had an encounter with her; however, it seems that their paths are always intertwined because of trouble.
When she turned in a corner, Ma Liling was shocked to see her husband hiding like a scared cat and when their eyes met, she felt her heart skip a beat.
But before she could say anything, Yu Bai suddenly grabs her hand and drags her running away from those thugs following behind them.
"Miss… Have you… have you seen a woman running inside this building?" Yu Bai suddenly asked.
"Umm… No…" Ma Liling thought but said no.
However, she realized that her husband is actually looking for her, so she suddenly changed her words.
"I mean… yes… she has… already… escaped… I… I helped her." she said in between her panting breath.
Yu Bai showed a grateful look on his face.
"Thank you… Don't worry, I will also help you escape." He said as he dashed ahead.
The two of them soon arrive in a corner where the exit is, and immediately ran outside.
As soon as they were able to run outside, they immediately headed in the direction of another building.
As if with a tacit understanding, Yu Bai and Ma Liling seem to be thinking of the same thing as they ran towards a multistory car park. This place is near an office building where many people are working. But since it is already around 9 pm, then most of the employees have left and the multistory car park is now almost empty out of cars.
Soon they reached the second floor and saw a small space where they could face their enemies without any people able to see them.
"This is a good place to fight…" Ma Liling said with a smirk.
"I thought that actress like you are afraid of fighting, I guess I was wrong." Yu Bai said with a smile.
"By the way, what is your name mister?" she asked while looking at Yu Bai with a smile.
Her dazzling smile made him feel a bit weird but waved it off his mind.
"I am Yu Bai… and the woman that you've helped is my wife… Once again, thank you…" he said with a nod.
"Well, aren't you afraid of these thugs? They might be able to hurt you, you know." She said with a teasing tone.
"I am an orphan and I grew up in a dangerous neighborhood. So these kinds of things are not new to me. But I hope that Miss Liling won't tell anybody about this, okay?" Yu Bai said with a shy smile.
"Haha… Same here… If people knew that I am fighting in this place and against thugs then many would gossip about me…" Ma Liling said with a chuckle.
The two were chatting when suddenly many footsteps could be heard approaching their location. And soon around 10 people arrive and glaring at the two people.
"Hahaha! You're trap! Do you think you can still escape?" a burly man which seems to be the leader of this group shouted.
"Why are you people chasing after us? We did not do anything to you…" Yu Bai asked.
"Haha… Actually, you are not our target, but seeing that beauty is in front of us, how can we let this chance escape? Hihi…" one of the thugs said with a lewd smile.
"We prefer not hurting you miss. If you come with us, then we might even treat you nicely and you might even enjoy it…" the leader of the thugs said.
Hahaha…
The people around him began laughing as they ogled Ma Liling. She has already put on her mask to prevent others from recognizing her.
"Humph… Let's see who would cry for help later…" Ma Lilin said as she suddenly stood and take a fighting stance.
Her action made the thugs feel a bit stunned, but everyone laughed at her foolishness.
Meanwhile, they also look at Yu Bai who just stands on the side.
They knew that this beauty knew how to fight so they are on guard towards her. But the man, in their eyes, is just cannon fodder and an easy target to mess with.
"Three of you beat that guy up!" the leader shouted as the seven of them suddenly rushes towards Ma Liling.
Yu Bai showed a concerned look towards the woman who helped Ma Mian. He did not want the woman to suffer, so he did not want to hide but also did not want to show more of his fighting skill this time.
