Synopsis
Adam is an attorney who loves his job and is really good at it. Too good. After leading to the acquittal of a man accused of a series of brutal murders, another is committed and the freed man is caught at the scene. Adam blames himself for the crime and feels like he is about to fall into some sort of abyss....
However, there are hands that will try to save him from falling. Will they be strong enough to do it? Will passion and perhaps some warmer feelings save Adam's heart? Or are Hubert's intentions not quite so pure? After all, he too has had his transitions, just like Adam, pursued by his black past?
As gravity drags Adam down, will love be found to spread his wings and lift him high again?

Write a reviewGreat book. Engaging, full of emotion, until you want to go into the book and comfort Adam and tell him that everything will work out somehow. And it makes you blush. [img=faceslap][img=faceslap][img=faceslap]
Nice story. Very nice. I like Adam and how he feels responsible for the situation. I like Piter because he is a very good and devoted friend and I like Hubert because he is very interesting.
This book is sooooo good, that I have good words to express myself. I'm just glad, that I can read it. Thank you, author. I love this story so far.
I like how this book doesn't just focus on the romance, but talks about other aspects of the characters' lives. I like how it shows Adam's problems at work. I look forward to the further development of this interesting story.❤️❤️❤️❤️
[img=recommend][img=recommend]This is a very good, interestingly written book. If you like something original, you have to read it! [img=recommend]
This is so interesting! A little bit of sensation, a little bit of mystery, a lot of emotion, and interesting characters who are slowly getting their individuality. I love discovering the characters in this Author's books. They are always full dimensional, never black or white, always have lots of shades. It's so fascinating!
Congratulations on winning the Gold Award in the Dark Romance category! You deserve it! If I remember correctly Race With a Heart and Love Lives in His Eyes when they competed won Silver!
I appreciated this book for its versatility and for Adam being such an interesting character. I admire the Author for always being able to write such real characters. This is her strongest point, but the others are just a tad weaker.
I really like books where the world is expanded. It's better to read books, where besides main characters' emotional matters there are also professional matters or their private relations with other characters. This book is very much to my taste.
Wow, really good read this book. I really like this thread of Adam's work. It's a little creepy, but I like that kind of atmosphere. The sweet moments are even sweeter then.
Very interesting story. No wonder it won first prize. Beautiful, moving scenes. I know this book has a sequel at another link, but here I leave this note, because if someone doesn't read this book because they think it's too short, they're missing out on a lot. There are only 18 chapters here, but there is a full version on WN at another link. I recommend it! The book is a bit dark, but also full of hope. It speaks beautifully about how love can save a person.

This is only the first chapters, actually the intro, but I think the book is already recommendable. It introduces a serious, somewhat dark atmosphere, but leaves room for hope that everything will be alright. Adam quickly won my sympathy and I keep my fingers crossed that he will get out of his problems quickly. I recommend both the book and the author who never let me down when it comes to constructing stories and especially creating wonderful, very realistic characters.
