Synopsis
One sunny day, Shen Jingwei, a Z-list actor, received an opportunity to attend an open-call audition the very next day.
It was for the role of an antagonist in a new BL C-Drama, "Dance Of The Dragons", which was adapted from a novel of the same title.
He agreed to join the audition due to several factors, among which his manager's threat to jump off the 20th floor, his dire need for money, and also the fact that his rank in the film industry could not go any lower.
One look at the panel of judges made him want to turn on his heel to leave, but it was all too late.
Because who would expect the poor Z-List actor to meet his mortal enemy/ex-boyfriend, Yan Renzhong, the A-List Actor responsible for his decline long before he even learned how to fly?

Shen Jingwei could sense blood coming up his throat.

"Yes," he forced himself to agree nonetheless.
Yan Renzhong pinned him with a stare.
"We have unresolved issues from the past. I hope you won't let them affect your and my performance in the drama. Act the professional you are supposed to be."

"And don't call me 'Emperor Yan' anymore."
Yan Renzhong left after delivering one blow after another, not even waiting to see if Shen Jingwei succumbed to his injuries or not.

I absolutely adore the "romance on set" trope so this was bound to be a good read. Intriguing, well written, and the pacing is great too. (review aside, can someone please tell me if feng jietang and Lang yunxuan end up together bc theyd make SUCH a cute couple arghhhh maybe im just deluding myself tho loll)

Sigh... A bunch of handsome men are being reduced to a bunch of gigolos. What a waste! Smh. From the synopsis: Can a pair of BL couples even have their own biological children? I'm not a fan of LQBTQ novels. Just here for the event passes...
love the characters,they are well written and the book is simply amazing 👏 good Job author
The story and chemistry between characters is quite interesting. However I couldn't like it when the author inserted herself in the story. Her interactions with ML are cute but at the same time felt foreshadowing the relationship between main characters.
I enjoyed the story so far. Everyone, not just lgbt can enjoy. Can’t wait for updates. Keep up the great work

Love love love this! Perfect combination of Dance of the Dragons and the modern world. Right amount of angst, not over dramatic. Wjile reading I am imagining my favorite actors in the respective role, especially the leads. I really wish this will be made into a movie.
the novel is so nice I even prefer it than dance of dragon but author Sam why don't u update pls do update if not it is a very nice novel love it

Came here from Dance of the Dragons, which I highly recommend and is a MUST in addition to this novel!!!! (Would recommend reading it beforehand or simultaneously in order to have some context to this story.)
