Chapter 41: Make Up

The soft sound of saxophone music wafted throughout the entire hallways as Aseko makes his way through the empty hallways, hearing the sounds of people complaining and mumbling to themselves over and over again. 

Knocking on a door, the voices immediately died down and a large man in a wrinkled white shirt opened the door, a cigarette loosely hanging from his lips. 

"Hey! If it is not my favourite nephew." The man said brightly, grinning at Aseko, wrapping his arms around his back and patting him, hard. "I see that you have taken care of this place really well." 

"I hope you are all comfortable, uncle," Aseko said, not even flinching at how hard the man slapped his back. "The weather is very unpredictable these days." 

"Indeed, my boy, indeed it is." The man said, taking a deep puff of the smoke. "I heard about what happened, how is the boss?"
